Did a take out 20 minutes before closing and I thought they'd hate me, but I get there and I'm serviced quickly. First time ever eating from there, I have to say, it was pretty great. Definitely ordering from here again.

It's my third trip to the colonial location. It's the second time my food was cold when I finally got it 40 mins later. The soups come out fast but nothing else. The last nite I was there they were out of tea and the service was not great. The downtown location is much better.

Got to go and the food was good; however, it felt a bit awkward standing waiting for my order as there weren't any chairs to sit while waiting.

So we came to this location a little after 9pm since I was feeling sick and pho is my go to remedy. We've been to all the pho places up and down mills and along colonial and down primrose. This was by far the richest, most exquisite broth. My pho was spot on with the flavors and my boyfriends vermicelli was really good. Now we love pho 88 on mills, but with the location and how good the food was we will be back. We also had great service. Our waitress was attentive and brought our food out before it had time to sit and lose its steam. We both work in food industry so we could appreciate this. To all those who say service was bad, I've ran into many people who are just quip and to the point...that's not rude, it's an efficient way of getting a job done while you have tons of customers. Just saying....keep that in mind. The food is totally worth it! :)

Good tasting food, uneven service. We've been here a few times, and the food is always good, particularly the spring rolls. Today we we're seated immediately, and then ignored. A couple that came in several minutes after us received water before a server even come to talk to us. We complained to the front desk people and a server came. One young woman took our order, and then a gentleman came over a few minutes later to verify the order, which is a good thing because she apparently had gotten two out of three things wrong. The waiter brought the appetizer we ordered, but did not bring any plates for us to actually eat the appetizer. I asked for some plates, and so he brought one, apparently expecting one of us to use the appetizer serving plate as our eating plate. When our entrées arrived, the waiter placed a dish in front of my wife that she did not order. He realized it was the wrong thing and took it away. Hopefully that plate was not re-served to someone else! For about nine dollars, I got two thinly sliced but excellently seasoned pork chops rice and a small salad. As usual everything we ordered tasted very good. We will probably come here again because the spring rolls and other food taste good enough to go, but the service is very disappointing.

Service was terrible. No greetings and very very very very slow. I guess thats why there wasnt anyone else in the restaurant. The pho was very salty in my opinion but the pro is that i had a lot of noodles and tai. I also ordered bun bo hue, i like that more than the actual pho. OVERALL: would not come back again i rather drive down to the one in the vietnamese area

An absolutely abysmal customer service experience. My wife and I were sat at a table, and waited for fifteen minutes for one of the several dining room employees to even ask us for a drink, which they never even got around to. The employees hardly even looked at us as they served the only four other tables occupied in a large dining room. After such a long wait, we gave up and left to find lunch somewhere else. I hope this is a rare occurrence, and I'm sure the food is good, but because of this experience, I don't ever see myself returning.

Horrible food, plain summer rolls, the pho has too much MSG! I would not recommend this restaurant!

I was very excited when I saw that Pho 88 was opening a second location closer to UCF. I have been visiting their downtown location for the past four years, so I was expecting the same wonderful service I usually receive there. I chose to visit on a Saturday for lunch and upon entering the restaurant, the hostess just stared at us while talking to another worker until we awkwardly had to ask if there were any tables available. The menu seemed to have a smaller selection which was disappointing but my bf and I went ahead and ordered two bowls of our usual Pho. The food was delicious but again, the service was just lacking. Our waitress took a significantly long time to take our order, even though the restaurant was not too packed. She took just as long to bring us our check. Eventually, we became so tired of waiting (about 20 minutes) that we resorted to just walking up to the front table and asking if we could pay our check there as we were in a hurry. Another odd thing that I noted was the table next to us received better service. When it came to pouring our soup into take home containers, we received no help, while the table next to us did. It wasn't until the waitress noticed I was struggling to pour mine that she rushed over to help. She was also prompt on bring them their check and taking their order. Overall, my experience here was disappointing and in the future, I'll be sticking to the downtown location. TLDR; I am not impressed with the service at this new location and will stick to the downtown location in the future.

I got the Meatball & Sliced Beef Pho. The noodles were fresh & good, the meatballs were lean & yummy, then I got to the broth (which makes or breaks this dish) and it was beyond bland. I cannot smell the distinctive Pho scent & barely taste the flavor in the broth. My partner got the Bun Bo Hue and it was below avearge but still a little better than my Pho. However, the smoothie I got was pretty average. Customer service was great. The restaurant is nice & clean. The side parking lot is a little awkward though as it is one way.

After visiting the Pho88 on Mills and having a less than stellar visit, I was invited to their new location by David, the store manager, who was filling in at the Mills location. To get the full picture you may want to go read the review I wrote up for that location. As promised, I showed up today for lunch with my BFF and it was not very busy when we arrived. We were seated at a table and our server Mario introduced himself and was very personable. His menu knowledge was very good but he seemed to struggle a bit detailing the dishes. It helped that he has tasted many of the dishes and was able to recommend some items he knew first hand. My BFF started off with a glass of water and I ordered my unsweetened tea with lime. The first glass he brought me was sweet tea and but he quickly replaced it with a glass of unsweetened tea. The unsweetened tea was pretty weak so I ended up with water for my meal. The manager on duty was adjusting the brew for the tea after sampling the tea for herself. I suspect they will have that corrected by the next time I drop by for a meal. For lunch my BFF ordered the Chien Bot sauce Thai which is battered chicken with broccoli, bell pepper and onion in a tangy honey sauce with a side of rice. I tried the Pho Bo Vien which has the beef balls along with the Com Dac Biet which is grilled beef, grilled pork, grilled shrimp, shredded pork skin, pork egg meatloaf and a fried egg. I also had some of the spring rolls. I sampled my friend's meal and everything was PERFECTLY cooked and that honey sauce was amazing. He ate every bite of what he was served and he usually left something behind. He also had an order of the spring rolls and loved them. The spring rolls were just as I remember from the other store and that was a good thing. I loved them and because the presentation was IDENTICAL as the other store, I did not bother to take a picture of them. Next up is the Com Dac Biet and I could go through every item one by one BUT there is no point. EVERYTHING on the plate was properly cooked and the seasoning was SPOT ON! Kudos to the chef! Last up is the Pho Bo Vien and the presentation was great. It was served at the proper temperature and there were plenty of bean sprouts and basil for MY liking. The lime wedge was a good size given the size of the bowl and my wife would have loved the fresh sliced jalapenos. The broth was nicely flavored and NOT too salty. Nothing turns me off more than a salty Pho. The Beef Balls could have been a wee bit smaller but the flavor was delicious. Best of all was the texture of the noodles. If the most I can nit pick is the tea was weak, I can live with that. The fact that they were addressing it immediately shows that the staff at this location takes pride in their store. I can assure you that I will be coming back with my wife and will recommend them as a place to go for lunch. After lunch I took some pictures of the place. There is a small bar area and a patio area so when the weather is nice, that patio will come in VERY handy. The restroom was spotless but the lighting was a bit dim. I liked the way the place was decorated but not overdone. I did notice one bracket for a TV that did not have a TV on the wall. There was also a section in the back with a large table big enough for a dozen people. David... I want to thank you for stepping up and giving me a reason to try the new store instead of leaving unhappy. YOUR store is a MODEL for what the other store SHOULD be. To ALL of my followers... They are worth checking out...

I have always been a fan of the original Pho 88 on Mills in Orlando and was excited to hear of the second one opening on the east side of Orlando. In case you are unfamiliar, Pho 88 is a family owned restaurant that has a vast selection of authentic Vietnamese dishes, especially Pho. Their popular and delectable pho (beef noodle soup) is a must try! They also serve other appetizing dishes such as rice, stir-fried, rice vermicelli, egg and clear noodles, and vegetarian dishes. They offer a variety of drinks to quench your thirst from some of the more popular Vietnamese ice coffee with condensed milk to import beers and wine. The Cha Gio, or fried egg rolls, were actually some of the better egg rolls that I have had in some time. Although I am not normally of fan of fish sauce, the flavors of the two combined were superb. The Beef Potstickers were quite tasty and I really enjoyed the dipping sauce. The Bo Kho Pho Beef Stew had exceptional flavors. Filled with savory seasonings and a delicious broth that was so good, I kept trying to eat my wife's entree selection. I ordered the Bun Bo Nuong or rice vermicelli with sliced beef and shredded cucumbers, lettuces, bean sprouts and fish sauce. With an added few dashes of Sriracha, this dish was all I could ask for. I was pleasantly surprised by the new location of Pho 88. All of the food that we had was very good and served in a timely manner

First time to Pho 88 and while I didn't have Pho, I was impressed with the meal overall. It may sound silly, but you can judge restaurants like these quite a bit based on their egg/spring rolls. They are simple and cheap, but what they are stuffed with and how they are cooked tells a lot about the time and attention in the kitchen. These were noticeably good. The decor and atmosphere were clean and bright and the rest of the menu was filled with traditional favorites. The sale and pepper calamari was excellent and of course I had to enjoy all of it with a Vietnamese iced coffee. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

So excited that Pho 88 is now open in East Orlando!! My husband and I made a trip here for the grand opening celebration. They had everything including a DJ, free beer, free plastic bottles, $5 cocktails and discounts on the food! I split the fish cakes and the quail appetizer with my husband. We had a few free bud lights while we enjoyed the super delicious apps. I also had an iced coffee to go and asked for the condensed milk although it tasted like hazelnut creamer which isn't my favorite. Service was good considering how busy they were. This location has a full bar, is quite large, has covered outdoor seating and plenty of parking.

Had to say I was vey pleased with my visit at the new Pho 88 location. The atmosphere was clean and spacious, the service wS very kind and friendly and the food was great! I got the vegetarian pho with tofu and rice noodles. I loved the abundance of fresh veggies and and the broth was delicious. I also got the Chinese Health Drink and although it was very sweet it was delicious! Definitely will be returning.

We just had dinner here and we probably won't be coming back mostly due to horrible service. The sad part was that things looked optimistic when we initially walked in and we were greeted warmly, but everything went south after that and my friend and I were trying to figure out what went wrong. The place is clean, very nice and all that jazz and the price reflects that as they're more expensive than the pho 88 on mills but if the food is good and complimented with good service that wouldn't be an issue. Summer rolls were good and the peanut sauce was stellar. My pho tai was ok, I've had better elsewhere but I appreciated the fact that it was not salty. My friends pho ga on the other hand had way too much salt and I honestly don't know how she didn't send it back, she tried to eat as much as possible and then asked the waitress if she could have a to go container. Speaking of the waitress, I don't know what her deal was but she was really rude from the start. When we were asking her about the milk teas she seemed frustrated or annoyed that my friend was asking questions about the different flavors, like we were wasting her time so that by the time my friend asked her for the to go container, she all but left it on the table and walked away leaving us to try and pour the soup into the awkward container... We made a huge mess trying to do that by the way; hope she had fun cleaning that up since she didn't bother putting it herself like other Pho places would. We also felt rushed since she asked us if we wanted the bill immediately after we had set out spoons down, a race to get us out as soon as possible... and the place was not packed. She had only brought us a small plate of condiments with the sprouts, jalapenos, lime, etc, and we thought that was stingy on their part since we had both ordered soup so when we asked for another plate we were charged $1 extra. Just a huge night and day difference to Saigon Noodle on Goldenrod; I feel ashamed for having betrayed them to come to this establishment; one that I will probably never come back to.

Their quality is top tier. Their prices are marked a little higher than their other restaurant, but one look at the interior and you'll know why. Speaking of their interior, it's really really nice. It can pass off as a more luxurious place to dine but without the ridiculous price tag. Of course, it's not the chairs, tables, and decor that makes this place good. Their food is outstanding. If you've had their food from their other branch, then this place is as just as good or slightly better. Their Pho is good. Their appetizers are as well. The thing that stuck me as odd was that I received my Pho before I received my appetizer. The reason for it is most likely that the pho (just like everywhere else) is mostly pre-made (like the broth and the noodles) and that some of their appetizers take longer to make. I wouldn't recommend their Cafe sua da because it's 70% and I fall for it every time and never come out impressed. Their service is fine. I didn't experience any problems like some other reviews.

Probably the best Vietnamese I've ever eaten. The pho is on point, with huge slices of meat balls. The staff will bring out your beef raw for you on the side if you request it (the cheat code). We were skimped on cilantro and bean sprouts, but they brought more when we whined. Do NOT miss those apps though. Their potstickers are the tits, along with the chicken curry roti. Those spring rolls could be better, but their peanut sauce is on point. Really, I could drown in that sauce.

I really like the downtown Pho 88, so of course the idea of an east side location made me pretty happy since we live close by. This is overall a pretty nice looking restaurant, and we had no issues whatsoever with service. In fact, our waitress was friendly and very helpful in helping me locate the dish I had been craving, which was not particularly well described in the menu. Our meals were both delicious and were good value for money -- neither of us were able to finish our meals, so we had some leftovers for later. There was one glaring downside to this location though. What happened to the rest of the menu?! Don't get me wrong, like most Vietnamese restaurants there are scores of options available to choose from, but the downtown location has so much more, including a great banh mi selection. I was looking forward to some delicious banh mi close to home, but I suppose I'll have to wait a little longer...

We had pho, bleh, a little on the bland side. I asked for bun rieu, they gave me bun bo hue. The funny thing is my spicy soup taste like crab soup. My kids share a mi xao don. It had a Chinese flavor to it. I had the goi cuon for appitizer

I ordered Pho Bo Vien and it was phenomenal. My only critique would that there weren't enough veggies on the side.

Service and food was very good. Great stop before/after flight to/from MCO. The Pho broth was very clean and beefy tasting - didn't feel thirsty afterwards. :)

Newly opened branch from the same owner as pho 88 on a Mills Ave. Pho broth is excellent. Filled with lots of meat. Each bowl of pho has their own plate of condiments/herbs. Thit nuong was well seasoned. The furnishing is new with upholstered leather chairs..better than the average pho restaurants. We liked the decor, new furnishing & lighting...nice touch.

Horrible... awful service.... Rudest server I have ever meet in my whole live. I will NEVER come back to this place. And the food wasn't that good neither. I have had better Asian food than this one... I will know about this since I'm the Asian diva.

We really wanted to love this place because it's so close to our home. We were hoping it would be a five star, but there some disappointments. Some positives are that the interior and the decor are very nice and modern. Great ambience for date night. A big negative was that the pho broth was not near as flavorful as several other restaurants in Orlando. I found myself having to add more sriracha than normal. There was a good amount of meat in it though. The spring rolls were also mediocre, and we could barely taste the pork in the shrimp and pork rolls. The peanut sauce was very good though. Another negative was that our waitress did not seem to know much about Vietnamese food. When I told her I wanted the pho tai, which is the most common dish, she didn't know what it was, and thought I was asking for pad thai. I had to point it out to her on the menu. And then when she brought out our pho and didn't know who had what, I said I had the pho tai, and she placed a bowl of pho in front of me which we later discovered was actually my husband's. To her credit, the waitress did say it was her third day. However most restaurants train their staff in the food, and when I used to be a waitress they even tested is on the menu. It seems like this restaurant did not do that, and I recommend that they do so in the future for better customer service. We also ordered Vietnamese iced coffee with boba. The boba had good texture and the coffee was strong, though the glasses were a little small. She brought us out one straw in a wrapper and one not in the wrapper, which was strange. We didn't finish our coffee so we asked her for some to go cups. Be very careful because the to go cups are so flimsy that my husband crushed his trying to put the lid on. She brought us out more straws for these, and once again one straw was wrapper-less. I'm not sure what that's about but doesn't seem very hygienic to me. Another downside of this restaurant is the price. The pho is $8.50 which is rather high. We will probably give this place another try since it is so close to home, and maybe things will improve once they get in the groove. I really hope so because we want to love this place. We wish them luck!

Wasn't quite sure what was what and the waiter wasn't particularly helpful so I ended up ordering a big bowl of Wonton soup and it was so good!! It was such a big serving I ended up taking some home so its a good size for sharing.

Excellent pho and spring rolls. Add a splash of fish sauce and some chili for an awesome bowl of awesome.

Ordered the Pho with rare steak. There was plenty of steak in the pho, which was really appreciated! Good flavor along with very fresh side of herbs made this a great experience. The spring rolls were delicious as well. Service was prompt and courteous. They also have a couple of tv's if that is your thing.

Our first time here and it was good! We went on a Wednesday afternoon so it wasn't very busy. Our server Mario was great! Polite, attentive and knew the menu well! We started with egg rolls. You get 2 for $3.50. We had Pho with meatball and sliced beef, and both were good! I believe it was around $8.99 each. To us that's not a bad price. The restaurant itself was very clean. The decor was simple but very pretty. If your on this side of town and craving Pho, give this place a try!
