This is very similar to other quick, resort meal places. Think school cafeteria with much better food. The prices are regular Disney fare - higher than I would be willing to pay if I weren't on vacation. What really impressed us (and earned the fourth star) was the helpful, young man named Jam. He went above and beyond to assist us. In fact, we had an allergy in our party and he helped check on a few things when we asked him about it. Other servers might have referred us to a chef and we would have waited forever to get an answer. But Jam went somewhere and quickly came back with answers before our food could cool down. Since we've been eating at Disney restaurants all week, we know this isn't the normal service to expect - it was better! He saw a guest needing help and jumped right in! Amazing! We normally wouldn't write a review about a restaurant like the Pepper Market, but we had to applaud Jam's work. We see big things in his future!

If you want big portions of food (not necessarily good food), then Pepper Market is probably your best bet. It's convenient if you're staying at Coronado Springs (though I can't imagine why anyone not staying here would want to come all the way here just for this). My family and I came here for breakfast one morning (I believe they open at 7 a.m. so that's a good amount of time to sit down for a breakfast and make it to the parks by the time they open). They give you a lot of food so it's definitely enough to keep you filled for a while. There are a lot of breakfast options here like pancakes, waffles, French toast, eggs, omelettes, and smaller breakfast items if you don't want a huge meal. Their waffles are in the shape of Mickey's head! They aren't that good, but at least they look cute! Tip - if you bought the refillable mug, you can refill it here. Also, if you're on the Disney dining plan, I believe a meal counts as a quick service.

This is a cafeteria style restaurant like many of the Disney hotels. We ate a late lunch about 3:30pm on a Saturday. Even though the place was empty, service was very slow, we waited about 15 minutes for our meals to be prepared. I had a vegetarian pita and my boyfriend had the burger. My veggie pita was ice cold, the 'roasted' vegetables came right out of the refrigerator. We won't be eating here again.

Not bad for what it is...at Disney. The first day, I had the chorizo hash, SO GOOD. My has had potatoes, sausage, and poached eggs and was tipped with a hollandaise sauce. I was sorely disappointed when it was not offered the next day! Also important to note: for a water bottle, my hash, an OJ, and a coffee, my bill was over $20!!!! Ambiance is typical disney. A little dated, but bright, happy and a "commercial Mexican market" feel. Biggest downside was the expresso. I was really excited to see there was a french press, but it tasted off. I am not enough of a coffee connoisseur to pinpoint what was wrong, but I can tell you it wasn't tasty.

As much as it is the "happiest place on Earth", Disney World could just as aptly be named the "hungriest place on Earth". You're on your feet all day trucking through Hong Kong hot temperatures, sweating your face off so that you make your next Fast Pass on time, all while bypassing all the quick service stations with super long lines that would have fit into your meal plan but you don't have the time to waste in line because you need to slowly ride the "It's A Small World" ride again and get creeped out by those miniature singing robots for what seems like an eternity. Now that I'm done with my rant, keep my starvation in mind when I tell you how grabbing that late-in-the-day meal at Pepper Market after all that nonsense was a breath of fresh air. If I weren't deprived of nourishment every time I ate there I would still say the food was "OK", so I think this place still merits a three-star rating. There is one item on the menu worth us talking about: the Market Nachos. Little known fact about me, but I love nachos. Again, perhaps it's my hungry stomach doing the review here and not my brain, but those nachos hit the spot on more than one occasion. Real crispy but greasy corn tortilla chips shellacked with cheese sauce, jalapeños, tomatoes, sour cream and your choice of chicken or beef. I know it sounds pretty standard, but your mouth will think differently. Don't be a jerk and get the beans. They suck.

We came here for breakfast. The restaurant is a quick service, cafeteria style restaurant. It was not packed so we were able to get our food pretty quickly and had plenty of time for other activities. I ordered the chorizo hash with poached eggs -- it was amazing! It is a little spicy, so keep that in mind.

Three stars for the Mickey waffles and the service; 1 star for everything else. It's typical cafeteria food but with Disney prices. I was here for a conference and could expense all of my purchases, and that probably made the waffles taste better than they really did, which meant they were nice and fluffy, not dry, not overcooked. The strawberry compote wasn't too sweet or runny, and the nice young lady behind the counter was a sweetheart--extra compote ftw. The chicken, however, was dry and under-seasoned. The mashed potatoes were a bit too buttery. The tacos were incredibly small for the price, and they were served with just one tortilla each. I'm not the world's greatest expert on Mexican food, but when you're serving tacos with small corn tortillas, don't you / shouldn't you use two tortillas per taco? Either way, the tortillas broke open. Maybe I bite too hard?

It's not as bad as the reviews say. It's overpriced, yes, but that's just Disney. Service is standard. The Latino food isn't really Latino; it's Latino catered to the American palate. The cheese empanadas that I had here were nothing like the ones I had in South America-- and again, that's to be expected. It's Disney. Food quality is okay, neither bad nor impressive. Good selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My only gripe is that they open at 7:00. Early for most people, but I was up at 6:30 to take advantage of the extra early morning hour at the Magic Kingdom for Disney resort guests. I preferred to eat my lunches here instead of at the theme parks because I wanted an ambiance that was quieter and with less chaos and crowd. Not to mention I needed a nap anyways because it's easy to get Disney-ed out.

I'm not nearly as down on this place as some other Yelpers are but if I weren't always on the DDP or if I were a "foodie" (whatever that means) then I guess I could see why some people piss all over this place. Twice we did take out and ate by the pool and the staff could not have been any better in terms of helping me with containers, utensils and bags. The food is still a little but hit and miss. The burrito/nacho station is awesome as is the grill with the Texas Bacon Burger but the salads look weak and the desserts are mostly dry uninspired pieces of sugary junk. Also be prepared to wait a while to check out as there always seems to be some sort of a computer issue or the cast member may not be able to read the stamps on your card especially when one station (drinks) stamps on top of the stamp from another area (pizza/pasta). I mean sure the menu is boring to a point but everything is made to order and the staff is very helpful and friendly so compared to a lot of Disney outlets this place is a cut above the rest and we'll always come back here every time we visit Disney.

The Pepper Market is the main quick service restaurant located inside the Coronado Springs Resort. While unique, it is also hit or miss. The concept of this place is different than most quick services. Instead of one standard menu, there are several different counters where you can order food. As you enter you pick up a card from the hostess and it gets stamped at each counter according to what you order. After you eat, you pay as you exit. Breakfast - Breakfast was the best meal I had at the Pepper Market. The first station offered a western omelet with skillet potatoes which was pretty good. The omelet was made to order and featured all the fillings one expects in a western omelet. The cheese was sprinkled on the top rather than inside of the omelet, but it did melt which was nice. The salsa it came with was decent, but I lucked out and found a bottle of Tabasco which improved the taste significantly. Lunch/Dinner - Pepper Market offers everything from sandwiches to pizza to ribs for these meals. I decided to go with a burger as this was my first meal here. The patty was cooked over an open grill, but was overcooked. I didn't realize it at the time, but Disney will cook burgers to order if you specify a temperature. If not, it will be medium well to well done as mine was. It is almost impossible to give a fair rating to a burger cooked that much so I will just say it was not very good. Drinks - Inside of the ordering area there is a drink counter that has bottled water and soft drinks. If you have a refillable mug (included on the dining plan) there is a large area of fountain drinks and coffee in the middle of the dining area. If you don't like soft drinks, it does offer water from the fountain. Dessert - There is a dedicated bakery counter in the ordering area. The cookies are pretty good, but the pastry I had one day for breakfast was pretty stale. I would imagine it was at least a day old. Staff - The checkout personnel were always very friendly and patient. There weren't many staff walking around the restaurant, but one day I encountered one who was absolutely awesome. One of my kids was feeling pretty bad with an upset stomach and the server noticed. She was very kind, and even went out of her way to find ginger ale for her. It helped soothe her upset stomach and restored my faith in humanity. OK, that last part may be a stretch, but she was truly incredible. I wish I had gotten her name. If you stay at Coronado Springs chances are you will end up here. It isn't great, but it isn't awful either.

I love Disney. I love Disney World. I loved the Coronado Springs. That being said, this place is flat out awful. The Pepper Market was consistently bad throughout our stay. We tried it for lunch when we arrived. Yuck. Poor quality to the food. The burger I ordered tasted like cheap school cafeteria food, and the fries were both oily and bland. Later in the week we decided to give it a shot for breakfast, because it is convenient after-all......a mediocre breakfast sandwich, a bland and oversweet pancake plate later we knew that breakfast was also not a success. Finally we were starving after the Mickey's Halloween Party so we gave it one last shot. Our late night selections were the least offensive, so I suggest the flatbread pizza if you do have to eat here, otherwise avoid this and eat at the parks or wherever you are headed. The service was great and the cast members who work here are lovely. So, a nod to them. It is the quality of the food that makes this place one star in my book.

Decent for what it is. Hotel food in a Disney Resort Hotel. Portions are big so you will not leave hungry for sure. It is great for breakfast with lots of options. Mickey waffles which was a big hit with my kids. Dinner options are also good and if you purchased mugs with meal plan you can drink all the beverages you can consume.

Only ate here once for breakfast while staying at resort for a 3 day conference. Split an omelette with daughter & it was fine for cafeteria style food. A bit busy with several different station lines 4-5 people deep -- but they moved quickly to serve you up. Then you carry your tray to cashiers line & pay. Drinks were at another station centrally located in the dining area. It worked fine for a quick no-frills breakfast in Mickey's world. Tables were cleaned up fairly quickly by staff.

Location: This is a quick service restaurant near the main lobby of Coronado Springs resort. Food: The bbq ribs and beef/chicken tacos were amazing. The ribs were perfectly cooked and came off the bones easily. Drinks: There is unlimited refills for fountain drinks if you purchased the disney refillable mug. Otherwise you get three refills for a regular cup.

We have been coming to Disneyworld for 15 years and finally got around to eating at the Pepper Market. Worst experience ever! First, the service was simply horrible and we were treated like we were bothering them. Second, the food was terrible. Looked like most of it had been sitting around for hours. Tried the cheese burger and the Aztec burger. Both were dry, cold and tasteless. Had the churro's for desert, yuck! Very cold and chewy. Never again.

  • Cowboy B.

I wasn't sure what to expect. We were on a quick service meal plan so I thought we'd end up with a lot of junk food but I have to admit, the food here was excellent. Their cheese empanadas are the best I've ever had. Texas BBQ bacon burger has three kinds of bacon! For dessert, grab the carrot cake fast - it's popular and they run out of it first. Give yourself a day to figure out meal plans but then you'll just get it. There is a good variety so eating here multiple nights wasn't a problem for us, but remember you could always take the bus to another resort and try their theme food. Staff here, as with everywhere at Disney resorts, was friendly and helpful. The wait was never long. Can't wait to eat at Pepper Market again!

On property at the Coronado Springs Resort, the Pepper Market offers a slightly upscale food court approach to mealtimes. Food quality is good. Service is good. For my late lunch on arrival on a weekday, I breezed in without getting my "card" - which is stamped by purveyors when you get food from them. The server asked for my card - I said, "Oops, didn't get one." She said, "Hold on, I'll go get one for you!" Classic friendly Disney service.

The 4 drink soda refill limit shouldn't dissuade anyone from coming here. The food was serviceable for a long day at the park or conference. It gave me energy to take on the day and look forward to meeting people outside the Pepper Market. Longer lines = more meaningful conversations with your company.

Inside the Coronado Springs Resort. It's a classier version of a food court. I had a bacon cheeseburger with Parmesan fries for lunch. It was delicious! The next day I tried their macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, and chicken nuggets. (Don't ask! I had to eat bland food that day after becoming sick.) The macaroni and cheese was quite yummy. The potatoes were a little too buttery for my taste, and the nuggets...well, they were nuggets. Overall good food. Most importantly, it was quick.

This was ok for food. Nothing fantastic and highly over priced for what you get, but it is a Disney resort. There is nothing really that stands out about the food, unless you are starving. In my opinion Disney could try harder to have good food. After all 18.00 for a plate of nachos, drink and dessert is a little bit much.

4 Stars compared to other like type restaurants. It can't be an actual 4 star restaurant as that's not it's intent or focus. Reminds me of being in a Mexican food market with various food stalls. Of course it's Disney and it's American Food. You go up to one of the food areas and order, they stamp a card, (reminds me of ordering Dim Sum). At the end of the meal they add up your stamps and you pay your waiter. I had the Half Chicken with sautéed vegetables and potato wedges. Including tip, spent around $18.00. That's not bad for a Disney or a Hotel meal.

Self serve stations. Kids had mickey mouse waffles and French Toast with bacon or sausage. Each kids dish comes with juice for $5.99. They liked it, so it's not bad for Disney resort food prices.

Like all the other reviews indicate, it's meh. I had to settle for this place because there was nothing better close that didn't need a reservation. Anyway, standard fare. Not bad, not memorable. I had a veggie omelet, croissant, sautéed apples, and a small bowl of fresh strawberries. Obviously, overpriced. I'd go back if I had no options again. But I avoided that scenario by going to Publix 20 minutes away.

  • RS S.

If I could give them negative 5 stars I would. I tried 2 X. Got worse. I had pasta w sausage. Scary bad. Tried burrito, even worse. Dirty, unorganized and substandard. I'm actually embarrassed for manager, employees and this place needs to be looked at quickly from Disney management. I am very forgiving but there is no reason this should be even considered a place to eat at a resort within Disney. Shame on you Mickey.

I ate breakfast here a couple of times while staying at the Coronado Springs for a conference. It is your typical buffet -Ala Golden Corral. Nothing was really bad and nothing was really good. It all tasted pretty much the same. The staff was friendly enough although the service was pretty slow. My pet peeve at breakfast is my server failing to keep my coffee filled and they missed the mark here. A little pricey at $15 but, considering the shop next door wanted better than $3.50 for a cup of coffee, I guess that wasn't all that bad.

What a loser of a restaurant....food was mediocre at best and you are left with little option when staying at the Coronado Springs Resort at Disney World. Waitress chatted away with neighboring tables while drinks went dry. This is the first time I've been back to Disney in years...prices still very high but the commitment to quality has sure fallen off bad.

I liked it here. Even though the line was a bit long, the food was delicious and the service was good. I would definitely recommend the Chicken Quesadilla :)

  • Casi Y.

Not sure if it's because arrived at the end of the buffet service, but the food was just ok. I guess my expectations were too high. For a buffet, there weren't many options, but it works if you need to put some food in you.

Pepper Market is located in the Coronado Springs Resort. It opens early and closes late, so if you're staying in the hotel it's a good place to get a meal when the parks are closed. Breakfast is buffet-style. There is an assortment of pretty much everything you could desire for breakfast, except maybe rice (but that's just the Hawaii girl in me, I guess). There are cereals, fruits, breakfast meats, pastries, an omelet station, scrambled eggs, yogurt, toast, bagels.... and of course, mickey mouse waffles. My favorites were the mickey waffles and the omelet station. Everything else was pretty standard fare. Dinner time is cafeteria style, so you go and choose which entree you want, and can get dessert if you wish. We only had dinner here the first night of our stay and I honestly don't remember too much about it. It was a decent meal, though, and I had nothing to complain about. We always had pretty good service when we ate here and the waitresses and waiters were always friendly and attentive. There were a few times when the service was a little slow, but that was understandable since it was busy. Bottom line: You definitely should not expect gourmet food, but it is good and will fill you up either before or after a long day in one (or more) of the Disney parks.

  • Katherine B.

The food on the buffet was congealing, and when I went to eat lunch it was only 1 pm, not far enough after the lunch rush to excuse the poor quality of food they offered. I only ate here because they were my only option, and I sure as heck found other places for lunch for the rest of my stay. Disgusting.

I've eaten at Pepper Market several times over the past decade+ and each time I would characterize the food as amazingly average but consistently so. Others have noted the lay out and seating model and there is little that I can add, as the Pepper Market does not seem to have changed anything in the many years since my first visit. The food, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner, has been sustaining, appropriately prepared -- neither memorable for good or bad reasons. Options have been basic and familiar. Diners will never see any menu item that they have not seen before and even elementary school aged patrons will recognize most menu items from their school lunch menus. Yes, as others have noted, Pepper Market is expensive. That is not something that I believe one can avoid on a Disney property. Captive audiences will pay more. In reality, however, if one is dining at Pepper Market, one is likely either (i) at a conference and cannot take the time to seek food off property, or (ii) on vacation and thus will appreciate the speed of service that allows a visitor to get back to the parks quickly. If you find yourself with limited options, there are far worse places than Pepper Market. The food will serve its purpose by satisfying your hunger -- not unpleasantly -- so that you can go back to your conference or your vacation. If you have the time, or you want a top quality experience, talk to the concierge about other options.

school cafeteria food for restaurant prices. Not impressed at all. Omelettes are not made to order, but pre-made and sitting in a warmer so they can get overcooked and rubbery. Yuck.

So after reading all the reviews I was a bit hesitant to eat here. Sure it looks like a dorm room cafeteria...in fact it is a cafeteria. Mass produced food, pre-cooked food, trays, and fountain drinks, oh my. What do you expect though from a place named "Pepper Market." I decided to give it a try since I needed a quick and easy dinner solution. Something I could take back to my hotel room, plop on the sofa, and eat in peace after a long day of conference work. My choice, the meaty nachos (to-go please). After loading a hydrophone to-go package with base of a tortilla chips acting , then comes the toppings. And OOH the toppings came on...a hearty amount of... * Guacamole (Holy Moly!) * Salsa (mixture of fresh diced tomatoes and mild salsa) * Sour Cream (just a dollop for me please!) * Nacho Cheese (yes, creamy nacho cheese) * Shredded Cheese (yes, as if it couldn't get any more cheesier) * Beans (Refried in case you were wondering) * Jalapenos (to give it that extra KICK!) * Diced Chicken and Shredded Beef (They don't call it meat for nothing!) RESULT: A great nacho platter (fully loaded), that tastes great to-go and perfect for a full meal. But eat it fast though, as the Nachos can get soggy if kept un-eaten for too long.

Don't come here! We saw one of the workers wear gloves but they take your card, use the puncher and then give you your food all with the same gloved hand. Its a semi expensive cafeteria. One lady was kinda rude. Oh and ribs (plural) means two ribs there. =$14 Chicken sandwich was hard and bread was super hard and cold. I won't come back here and suggest you don't either.

  • Joe M.

The food was "ok". The service was pretty bad. The 10% service charge is garbage. We ordered the kids the pepperoni pizza. Price where you order said $14.99. My bill said 16.99 plus the 10%. I complained and they said the posted price was wrong. Double checked and the wife's fajitas posted $12.99, but were charged $14.99. They refused to fix the issue. It's only a few bucks, but when your getting raped as it is, it's pretty shitty.

My husband and I were stayed at Coronado Springs for a few days so we didn't have much choice but to give this place a try. We went for dinner and it was quite a let down. It was cafeteria style with different stations like mexican, burgers, pizza, etc. The food was pretty mediocre and everything was really expensive. The staff was also not the energetic, friendly people I expected to encounter during my stay. I guess I just expected more from a Disney resort.

    (2)
  • Philip T.

I don't understand why there's so many poor reviews based on one menu item that someone didn't enjoy. The service is strictly there to be bus boys and serve drinks... It's a self serve sort of place like most of the resorts on wdw property. Food is greasy but good.

Ate here 4 times while staying at Coronado Springs. Breakfast 3 times, dinner once. The food was consistently average, as was the service. I would only eat there for the convenience.

I have eaten here several times while at conferences at Coronado Springs and each and every time I've had a very pleasant experience. I've read the other reviews about handling food improperly, etc.; however, I never experienced it myself. All of the cooks at each station handled the food to my expectations and I'm OCD for goodness sakes. LOL If you've never been here before (I'm thinking back to my first visit), it may seem a little odd to be handed a card when you enter and then have them tell you it will be "punched" as you go from section to section. It took me a moment to catch on, but once I did.. Yippee! There are so many sections to choose from with so many varieties of food! Score! Go to the section, order your dish, and they punch your card (which will later be taken to the cashier when you've finished your meal). Yes, the food here is expensive. You are at Disney; everything is expensive. That's just part of the deal when you visit The Most Magical Place on Earth. It never ceases to amaze me how many times I hear people complain about the prices and I can't help but laugh inside and think, "Where did you think you were visiting? The Dollar Tree?" LOL But I digress.... My two favorites here are the Market Nachos and The Steak Burrito. The Steak Burrito is really good and it's really big; much more than I can eat which is a bonus for the hubby because he always gets to finish it for me. Hubby generally goes along with me and has mexican as well, although he has tried the Philly Cheese Steak and tells me it's pretty good. Certainly not the best he's ever had, but says it's not the worst either. I've always wanted to try some of the desserts because they look so yummy, but I've always been way too full. Perhaps one day. Service here has always been wonderful. Yes, you go to the stations yourself and get your food. However, the servers are completely on top of everything else. Never is your glass empty, you're always greeted with a smile when they come to your table, and believe it or not, if you want something else to eat you can ask your server and they will be more than happy to take your card, go get the food for you, have your card punched, and bring the food to you. All you have to do is ask; they aren't mind readers. :) I especially love the set-up of this restaurant. It's very open and spacious. Even when it is overwhelmingly crowded, for some reason, it still has a very open feel and I've never felt crowded in. The decor is very charming and pleasant. Put simply, it's just a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal.

Basically, you get a pass that you take up to the kitchen to order. They stamp the pass and you pay when you're done. It all seems a bit superfluous to me (they have servers, so why not put walls around the kitchen like a normal restaurant and give the waiters something to do besides refilling drinks?), but perhaps it's an "experience" they're going for. The margharita pizza (mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, and basil) was good, and the guy who made it was quite nice. Other than that, this place was pretty bad. The server our first night there hovered by our table, checking up every 2-3 minutes (not exaggerating). The fact that they served Cherry Coke works in their favor.

Pepper Market food court. Different stations for different cuisines, all a bit pricy. TIP: if your son or daughter is visiting with a school group or such.. PLEEASE make sure you send sufficient $$ to cover their meals if they stay at Coronado. I've seen too many kids that were not prepared well enough, and couldn't hardly afford to eat.

So it my first time ever at Coronado, and decided to have lunch at Pepper Market. I noticed about 3 or 4 people eating in there, it was extremely bare. I got a seat right away and since they did not have sweet tea I settled for a OJ. Then I was told that I can grab food and I went to the food area. The food looked mediocre, so I immediately grabbed 2 paninis, a ton of chicken nuggets, and a side salad. After I practically inhaled, I decided to check out the taco area. There are more taco fillings in Tortuga Tavern. This joint had no lettuce, sour cream, or cheese, just beef floating in a hybrid oil/sauce that resembled Taco Bell beef (although this one looked like real beef, not the liquid beef from Taco Bell), some chicken in red sauce, black beans, and also rice. The quesadillas seem small and I took a piece, and I noticed it did not have a lot of filling, and I didn't even bother with the small burrito which resemble and probably taste similar to a Patio Burrito. For the final boo, I got the mac and cheese, fish in some sauce, and a side of mixed veggies, which I think, along with the nuggets, were the best items in this menu. I did not bother with any of the desserts as I just grabbed a banana, had another refill of OJ, then got outta there. More people arrived and I say there were a good 10-15 when I bailed. A couple weeks after I went to Pepper Market again and this time the joint was packed. Packed joint means fresh food. I immediately went to town on the quesadillas, which were more robust, juicier, stuffed to the gut, and overall more tantalizing than the ones served on my first visit. I also asked for a side of sour cream and jalapenos. The mini burrito, which I previously described as being Patio Burrito-like, was awesome. I also proceeded to have the rice, taco beef, which was still floating hybrid oil/sauce, and black beans and man, it was good! For my next filling I grabbed chicken nuggets, which unfortunately some were undercooked, and the delicious mac and cheese. I also added the insanely tender and juicy pork, wow I mised that one the last time! I did not get the paninis this time but I made sure I sampled the salad and the cucumber salad. For dessert I asked for a cake from inside the display, had two cookies, and the mini-churros. I enjoyed this meal so now I am going to definitely recommend as long as there are a lot of guests the food will be cooked fresh!

I have to disagree with the other reviews posted about this cute little quick-service location. I was originally going to give it 4 stars until I noticed the unfair ratings it was given by people who clearly don't see the value and variety in this restaurant that is a perfect option for the Disney Dining Plan. I originally discovered the Pepper Market while staying at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. It is a food court with a market style. You pick up your "shopping list" when you walk in and then make your way around the market and pick out the items you fancy. There are separate stations for each cuisine. These stations include: a Mexican station, Kids Station, American Grill Station, Pasta Station, Pizza Station, Deli Station, Soup Station, Stir-Fry Station, Bakery Section, and Beverage Bar. I recommend the pasta, soup and grill stations. If you want something light, the salad bar is fully stocked with fresh fruit and vegetables to make the perfect salad. Although a bit repetitive in the Disney resorts, the desserts are to die for. There are plenty of condiments scattered throughout the market, so don't forget to grab some. You can eat inside the market or make your way to the outdoor seating. Each trip I make to Disney includes a visit to the Pepper Market even if I'm not staying at Coronado Springs.

The quality of the items here is fine, but the selection is oddly limited for such a huge restaurant and resort. For instance, only 2 or 3 choices of salads - one was Chinese chicken, and I can't recall the others, but the chicken salad tasted like airplane food (okay, airport, since there is no food on most domestic flights...). Just not a wide selection. I found the Jax Market (or was it Jix?) to be better value, with more limited selection even, but the value and convenience would rate it higher. Ambiance wise, as with all of Coronado Springs, it felt very antiseptic to me. Clean, of course, and creative, yes......but both times we ate here we got takeout and ate outside. I think they could have added to the experience by having hand made guacamole, fresher and more salsa options, a Mexican-inspired salad choice, a build your own salad option, more Mexican options in general. 5 stars for cleanliness, 4 for cast member attitude, 1 for the food choices - quality was okay.

We came back early from the park (kiddos were tired), after we all rested for a bit, decided to get a quick bite, and tried our hotel's restaurant. Seems to have alot of choices. Daughter got the cheese pizza (yuck), i had the blackened fish tacos, it was dry, flavorless and overcooked, and wife had beef fajita...was ok only. I wouldnt recommend this spot unless you are stuck there. Maybe some of the other choices are better...wish i tried something else.

I'm not sure why the Pepper Market has such a bad wrap on Yelp. I think it's one of the top Quick Service Locations on property! Unlike the normal chicken finger and hot dog fair found at most quick service locations, the Pepper Market offers a wide variety of foods to choose from. I usually stick with the fajitas or other Mexican dishes. Let's face it, if you go to a restaurant specializing in Mexican food, there is no reason to get a hamburger! Service is not bad and everyone is friendly. You also get a LOT of food for what you pay, especially on the meal plan. It's certainly worth a visit.

WHAT A DISSAPOINTMENT! The experience here is making me rethink ever venturing to a non "deluxe" resort again. We have been making the rounds of all the resorts for eating and wandering and general merriment recently, as we realized we had never been. We decided to come here one night, and wow. It sucked, not only in the general context of fast food, but when compared to any of the other fast service Disney restaurants. We did the everyone get something and we all share. Got...Market Nachos, Shrimp salad sandwich, ribs, cheesecake, oreo cake, and a sugar cookie. The Nachos, were SOOO soggy with horrendous salsa (Pace or similar obviously canned crapola), and they had just drenched them, making it almost impossibble to find a dry chip. The shrimp salad was fishy, and the bread was stale. The ribs were just fine, and actually pretty good. Dessert was the only winner, all the cakes and cookies rocked, and in fact were the best desserts of any of the Disney Quick Service I have had. I do like the concept of all the choices and pay at the end, and I had had such high hopes, because of such good experiences at other quick service places and this had so many choices. But wow. It sucked. We also paid close to $100 for the priveledge of this sucky sucky meal. (Coronado Springs though is beautiful, and I look forward to wandering around some more.....with some fruit and granola from home lol)

This must be one of the worse places I've ever ate in my life. The food is so bad , not only is served cold (BBQ ribs, pasta, chicken, etc) There's no protocol on how food should be cooked . I wish there was a zero star option .

Not overwhelmed with the food, and also not too thrilled with the selection. Since this was the "affordable" restaurant at the resort, I was forced to eat here alot. First of all, the set up feels like a cage. I understand that this is to avoid having people walk out without paying, but come on. There's gotta be a better way! Also, This place needs to decide what kind of restaurant it is. If you want to keep the cafeteria style thing going, fine, but don't charge me a service charge for someone to get my water! If I am going to stand around and wait for them to make my food, I don't feel like I should pay anyone. When I go to cafeteria style restaurants anywhere else, I don't have to tip and/or pay for service. The food isn't good either. They have so few healthy options that I ended up eating the salmon salad like 6 times. It was good, and the salmon was cooked well, but the lettuce always seemed...droopy and bleak. Yuck. And for a $15 salad, I don't think that lettuce should be no it's way out! Come on Disney. You can do better than that!!!!!

After an awful experience with their restaurant Maya and also room service, I wasn't expecting much at all. What a surprise to find that this was the best food I ate while on the property of the Disney Coronado Springs Resort. A friend and I were in a hurry, running a little late for lunch one day, and ended up here. The line daunted us at first, but we were then relieved to see it move pretty fast. I followed my associate and we ended up grabbing rotisserie chicken and fries. Really, really good.

It's hard to avoid the Pepper Market if you stay at Coronado Springs. I didn't know I should avoid the Pepper Market until I stayed at Coronado Springs. Maybe that's not really fair. It is what it is. It's like a high school cafeteria. But, unlike the high school cafeteria, the people who work there are pleasant and I don't want to criticize them. They try hard to give you the best that they can with what they have to work with. An excellent meal is the product of ingredients and the proper time and space to prepare those ingredients. It is what it is. Don't look for gourmet food. Go there for a quick meal that is served to you by a friendly cast member and be happy that you didn't go to Cookes of Dublin at Downtown Disney. I wrote a review.

Worst idea for a restaurant ever. Instead of ordering and waiting for the food to arrive, you have to sit around waiting for your food to be made in front of the grill. This is for dinner btw. The food is basically Denny's style food , and I can't believe I'm going to write this but I'd rather go to Denny's. I ended up having breakfast one morning, and lunch one afternoon. Both are buffets, which makes it simpler, but the food was just so-so. The real problem is that the Coronado Resort doesn't have any other options, so you're kind of stuck with it. If you can, get out of the hotel for your meals.

What is Pepper Market. Scratch the market part, this is not a store of any kind, an idea of a marketplace of foods. It's enclosed in a cage and your given a ticket at the front gate, with which when ordering food you obtain stamps of the items you will obtain, ticket in hand is then taken to check out at the exit where you pay. Every food item is prepared before your eyes at different stations, the first smell that grabs your attention is fishy (bleh!), there is Latin inspired food, breakfast bar with assorted Danish and espressos. Pizza area, kids menu; Pan-Asian menu items, fresh salads and fruits and then a grill. Accept that you are eating at a resort, portions are not at all satisfying for the price. It takes ten minutes for a pizza to be prepared, small round pizza - any toppings at roughly $11-$14 dollars. Taste, I was not satisfied. I ordered a pepperoni pizza which was made as a pepperoni with sausage. Because that pie was made in error, the other chefs didn't know what to do, so they allowed it to sit longer in the oven, burning the crust. Neither one wanted to take any blame for it. Another chef comes along, (instead of asking my thoughts) the chef (in plain sight) pulls out all the sausage pieces embedded in the pizza and then packs it and hands it to me as if it's a finely made finished meal. Total time fifty minutes for El crappiest pizza ever. Few other details, I paid $8 for a 6 ounce cup of cappuccino I could've gotten from a coffee machine. They sell beer by the bottle (plastic) $7-8 dollars, I think red and white wine is available. Service is interstellarly not awesome and the food is unbelievably plain for a resort at Disney. During my stay here, many times had I seen full meals left behind because of crappy food for high cost. If you have a chance to check them out, walk in, look at all the foods and then look at peoples' plates to see if they are enjoying themselves, before you make a final decision. Food is only available till 11pm which is uncanny, since there is a bar next door which stops serving their food much earlier then that and the bar closes at 1:30 am. Since there are NOT any vending machines, after hours you are SOL.

Great food and friendly servers. The Mexican food is really good. I've had the quesadillas and the fajitas, and it's a ton of food for the price. They have something for everyone though, pizza, pasta, burgers, and loads of desserts. From what a cast member told me, most of the baking is done here and then distributed to the parks and hotels. I don't know how true this is, but I can see why. They have everything and everything I've had has been scrumptious.

Bad, Bad, Bad... don't waste your money. Went there this morning as I'm very familiar with this establishment. I ordered a Southwest Omelet (the usual); it use to be made fresh but no not now, now it's served up fresh (not) from a steam tray along with the wedge potatoes. By the time I sat down (30 seconds) they where barely warm. I've seen this place decline in the past ten or more years but they've now sunk to a new low. Enough said!

I can't begin to describe how horrific my dining experience was here. The worst part was the handling of the food. One of the "cooks" took his gloved hand and took raw meat and placed it on the grill. That would have been fine if he did not use that same gloved hand to plate the cooked fries. Also, another one of the "cooks" touched the dirty broom and then begin to handle the food preparation. For the price that I paid for the average food I was seriously expecting more. So I decided to avoid that station and go to another one. The other one was more sanitary however they told me that they didn't have everything that came with the preset meal. I said ok as long as that reduced the price. Then she told me that they weren't going to reduce the price. I was angry. Why would they charge the whole price for a preset meal when it did not have everything included? That's a rip. So I said forget it and opted for a drink instead. The only problem with that plan was the extremely rude staff. One of the workers was restocking the soda machine and was blocking the juice. I said "excuse me" over and over again but she just ignored me. I finally just reached over her and got some juice because other than that I wouldn't have gotten any. So when I got to the register the cashiers looked extremely bored and acted as if they didn't even want to be there. How un-magical. The girl rung my stuff up and turned back around to continue playing with her coworker. My best advice is to avoid this place. It is really unsanitary and dirty. All the staff does is play around. Definitely not worth the money.

Terrible. A bad cafeteria with horrible food at high prices. Find a taco bus, enjoy good food and save 80%. This entire resort is terrible. What a shame to be a Disney property.

It's been months since I've been here, but my dreams continue to be haunted by that large pink animal monster thing holding the "Pepper Market" drum. Horrible, horrible place. A supreme rip-off. By the way, I'm charging you a 10% service fee for reading this review, just to get in line with Disney's ridiculous pricing policies.

  • Joel F.

Okay, so here is another contradictory review: First off -- the portion of Kung Pao chicken was tremendous and made for a very happy Joel. However, that being said, the prices are outrageous. They charge too high of a base price, too high for drinks, and then add a mandatory gratuity because someone delivers your drink to your table, after you've stood at a counter to get your food. Yeah, exactly... :( I'd have given 4 stars based on the food, but the surcharge really took it down a notch for me. Oh, and if you're the cute cashier from Oaxaca, Mexico and you're reading this, drop me a line. You are totally adorable :)

I've got to second the fact that the prices at the Pepper Market are ridiculous. $13 for the blandest "Taco Salad" I've ever had. My husband wasn't thrilled with his quesadillas either. The one word that comes to mind time and again is BLAND. The other displeasing aspect of Pepper Market is that it's enclosed in a giant CAGE. Thanks, but I'm not a rat, and if I were I'd be eating in France over at Epcot, with the rest of the Ratatouille gang.

I would not recommend this place at all unless you are staying at the Coronado Springs Resort. When I booked my vacation over the phone the lady told me how wonderful this place was and all the fresh food that was offered so I figured coming from a Disney employee why not try it. Boy was I wrong. While the resort is quaint, we walked into this restaurant and found out we had a waitress who basically just got our drinks. She made sure to note that tip was not on the meal charge. Since we were on dining plan for a quick service meal we had no idea a tip was involved. I would like to have known that ahead of time. Then it was weird because how much do you tip a woman who only explained the ordering process and got you drinks. Next we went to order. Yes there were many choices but, just as many as the Pop Century Resort Quick Service we were staying at and we did not have to deal with the weird tip thing or unhappy staff. The lady who made my quesadilla looked like it was torture for her to do her job and was the slowest, most unmotivated person I have ever seen. The people at the front who greet you were very nice and the people at the register were very nice but, the whole process of a pseudo quick service, sit down restaurant with a weird tip thing was not my cup of tea and the food was no better or fresher than any other resort quick service place. I will definitely never come here again.

It's hard to get enthused about the Pepper Market within Disney's Coronado Springs. You know that you'll be served quickly, but you also learn that the food isn't especially memorable and that it is quite pricey. The Pepper Market is the food court-style Mexican / Southwestern eatery within Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. Over the years I have eaten here for breakfast, lunch, and late lunch / early dinner. Once seated you're handed a card, and as you make your selections from the various serving stations the cooks will stamp your card. At the end of the meal, the serving staff tallies up your bill according to the stamps on your card. The servers are there to refill your drinks, clear the empty dishes and help settle your bill. They perform those tasks with the typical Disney attention to quality customer service. As mentioned earlier, the food is a mixture of Mexican / Southwestern / Spanish with omelets, breakfast burritos, quesadillas, and lots of fresh fruit and pastries for breakfast. Lunch offers a burrito / quesadilla area, a pasta and pizza area, sandwiches and paninis, salads and soups, a meat carving station, and a bakery and fresh fruit area. If you're staying at Disney's Coronado Springs you will most certainly be eating at the Pepper Market, and after a few meals you'll be ready to try somewhere else.

This is pretty much your typical run-of-the-mill Disney joint. That is to say that it's vastly overpriced for the quality delivered, and the only thing the food really serves to do is fill you up. I got a hamburger for $12(!) from here, and the only real positive that can be said about it is that it was big enough so I didn't have to go back and buy more food from here. The patty was bland and absolutely lacking in flavor, and the bun was hardly worth serving a burger on. The fries were also reasonably plentiful in number, if not in flavor. The only reason to eat here is if you don't have a car to drive outside the Disney campus to eat somewhere else. Otherwise, you don't really have much choice. Perhaps the Mexican-themed dishes are better, but it didn't seem like there were really any other options that were that appealing. Sometimes, c'est la vie.

Meh... but it's in the resort and you know you're going to paying. I didn't think the food was horrible. It's more like the food you'd make at home (com'on.. be real.... it's not like you'll get a James Beard award). With that said, I got burgers, fries and a drink. My only complaint is price but yet again, it is what it is. BTW, the staff said that the burgers were the best among the selection.

We stayed at Coronado Springs & ended up eating here more than once because it was close and worked with our dining plan. Cafeteria style setup, I found that the portions were good and the quality was pretty great for "Disney Value". I'd recommend the Yucatan Chicken. If u get the Texas burger ask for fried onions as well. If getting the chef salad, don't be shy to ask for toppings- they were happy to give me more than I even wanted. The ribs were tender but didn't have that smokey "bark" I like with my ribs.

It's average food. I had breakfast here the sausage and Biscuits and gravy were good but the eggs were complete mush. The atmosphere is casual.

  • Alfred H.

Not sure if it's because arrived at the end of the buffet service, but the food was just ok. I guess my expectations were too high. For a buffet, there weren't many options, but it works if you need to put some food in you.

This must be one of the worse places I've ever ate in my life. The food is so bad , not only is served cold (BBQ ribs, pasta, chicken, etc) There's no protocol on how food should be cooked . I wish there was a zero star option .

Yuck.

I don't understand why there's so many poor reviews based on one menu item that someone didn't enjoy. The service is strictly there to be bus boys and serve drinks... It's a self serve sort of place like most of the resorts on wdw property. Food is greasy but good.

Horrible... There was nothing good about this place. The food was awful, prices were insane, and service was non-existent. It's really unfortunate too since Coronado is a great resort.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
