Food is excellent as is service. Very true to the typical Palm experience. Free validated parking if you know about it. We will go back when in town again.

My husband and I ate at the Palm for our anniversary on May 31. The food was outstanding! I had the Seabass my husband had a fillet and we ordered mushrooms and cream spinach. The food couldn't have been more perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. The only thing I think is strange is all the faces drawn on the walls. I understand it's a theme, but it's really distracting from the romantic experience, the food and atmosphere. The service was good, but I felt they came to the table too many times. They should've been more aware that we weren't needing them for any reason.

I had a speaking engagement in the area and the company I was speaking for took me to dinner here. This place is old school high end steakhouse done the right way. The ribeye I had was downright amazing. The sides (mushrooms, mashed potatoes, etc.) were all superb. The service was also exceptional.

I was very disappointed with the Palm in Orlando I have been to the 1 in Boston and Atlanta and was expecting allot more out of this place for the price.. I started out with the Clams Casino they were good but its really hard to mess that up then for dinner I had the Broiled Crab Cakes with Mango Salsa they were well seasoned and mostly crab and not fillers but it was served to me Luke Warm not that hot and we also got an order of the Three Cheese Potatoes Au Gratin which was served to us raw on the inside so we sent it back and then the 2nd time it was still undercooked and we just didn't eat it and the manager didn't even offer to comp it ot anything.. In the middle of our meal our waiter just left and we had to ask another waiter for the check which took forever to get.. The Service was Horrible and The Food was Average for this Price I would rather go to Capital Grille...

One of the best restaurants I get to visit. The Lobster summer special is the Best meal deal on the street. I have been to this location 4 times in the past 5 weeks. Upgrades to the 6 lb which was even better. I had stopped frequenting the Palm but this location and staff is a 10

Noisy; good food, fast service. Nice wine list. I had a King crab legs, and they were very good, albeit a bit cold. I was too hungry to send them back!

The restaurant was very clean, and thats about as far as my complements go. The food is Way to expensive for the food they were serving. Not good at all and when I said something to the server he was nice but not helpful at all. If your looking for fine dining try the Grand Floridian.

I've been to every upscale steakhouse in Orlando and I have to say this is my favorite. It is not without its downsides though, hard to get to, quite expensive (even compared to other upscale steakhouses), the atmosphere is not as refined as many. That being said, when up against the other top steak places in town (Bull and Bear, Del Frisco's, Flemmings, Capital Grill, etc . . . ) I would choose this place every time.

The Palm is all it's supposed to be and more. The only reason we went is because we didn't have to pay for it. We had dinner and the Blue Man Group show all taken care of thanks to my wonderful company. We dressed casual. I wore slacks and a nice polo shirt. I didn't feel out of place. The restaurant is at Hard Rock, but has little of the same feel. Upon entering, were greeted warmly with a smile. We were seated promptly and our server came over to go over the menu and specials. The service was top notch. We did not sense any sort of snobbery or attitude one may see at an expensive place. The decor was that of white linen and some oak furnishings. The walls were covered with celebrities and such. We each had a soup and salad. I had a steak and mushroom soup, my wife had the lobster bisque. Both were rich and had great flavor. It was the right size and temperature. For salads, I had a caesar. It was a hunk/wedge of romaine with dressing. Although I'm not into that sort of lettuce cut, it was good. For the main course, we ordered some sides of broccoli and potatoes. They were both very very good. The broccoli was steamed as normal, but the potatoes au gratin rocked. I ordered a 14 oz filet, and my wife had surf and turf. The steak was one of the best I've ever had. It was cooked to my order and it practically melted in my mouth. I was very full after the meal and we still had leftovers. I would absolutely love to go again, on someones dime though. The valet was nice too. No garage parking garbage. I highly recommend this restaurant.

While staying 5 days at Hardrock at Universal Orlando, we opted to try out The Palms on our last evening. Unfortunately, I turned ill and stayed in the room while my husband and two boys 7 and 9 went with my encourage as we were told it was wonderful. They brought me chicken curry soup and I have to say it was amazing!!!! It was just spicy enough and chicken was tender and tasteful. My boys both got steak and loved it. It was quite tender. My husband who generally gets steak actually tried the sea bass and said it was wonderful and very filling. However, I was saddened to hear that their server captain Bob as name tag presented was very unattentive and did not show up unless my family asked for him. Most of the rest of staff was kind enough but service was not what was expected for such a restaurant of what we were described. The reservations were at 7pm and there were only a couple others present so busy was not even an excuse. Maybe a Thursday evening at the end of May or two steak loving kids turned the servers into negligent staff members, but where we generally leave a 35% tip at minimum the server receive a lot less!

I am going to start off with saying something radical- I'm not sure how useful these types of online reviews are. I wish they could give posters an IQ test before letting them post anything. One guy gives 1 star and claims the worst meal of his life, the next guy gives it 5 stars and claims the best meal of his life, etc. I guess all these reviews have to be taken with a grain of salt in other words. I eat at The Palm about 2-3 times per year, and have been doing this for ten years or more. So I have eaten there about 25 times over the years. Out of all those visits, I have only had 2-3 minor disappointments there. For example- In one case they seated us at a very small table, which is insane, considering the size of the place. But I have a theory about this- At peak hours, during peak Orlando tourist season, this place will get slammed hard with people. And whilst they try, it is quite difficult to keep up with their normal levels of service. For this reason, my wife and I will make reservations for hours we know won't be too insane- Weekdays, and with early reservations (5:30pm) or fairly late like 9:00pm. The service style is on the slow side. If you want speed, get some fast food instead. If I am paying $300 for a meal for two, I am definitely going to sit there for 2-3 hours and enjoy it. I give them points for this, I don't like to feel rushed during a fine dinner. I want time for conversation with my wife, and time to enjoy the bottle of wine we share. I lived in Europe before, and this is the way fine dining is done there. To rush through a fine meal, they consider insane, and I agree. Now, on to the food there. After dining there so many times, we don't even crack open the menu anymore. We split a 3-5lb lobster(depending on hunger level) and a bone-in-ribeye and just share it, creating our own surf&turf combo. Please, order steak and/or whole lobster, don't waste your time with anything else on the menu IMO. I think I ordered chicken parm once, not bad, but their steaks and lobster are like off the charts and into the stratosphere better. This is where things become subjective- I rate the food better than the competition so to speak- And the competition is awesome in its own right- Ruth's Chris, Mortons, Del Frisco, etc. To my steak and lobster loving taste buds, the steak and lobster at The Palm just seem to be more flavorful, like bursting it's with flavor for some reason. Some of the most intense beef flavor I have ever experienced. they do use a lot of salt, and I am sure this helps with that effect. But it's not like you even notice it, the food does not taste salty per se. But you will be reaching for water after dinner, so you know the salt was there. Anyway, for me, The Palm wins it on flavor, period. And I would rate their steak and lobster as good as, or often considerably better than, Peter Lugars, Smith and Wollensky, Mortons, Flemmings, Ruth Chris, etc. Again, I congratulate them- this is no easy task to pull off.

Staff was very friendly. FOOD= TERRIBLE! My burger should have been cooked medium, instead it was well done- didn't even taste salt and pepper on it. Fish was over cooked and dry with no taste. Bread was ok. Deep fried asparagus and fries were ok. Couldn't even ask for dessert because we were so unhappy with dinner. The staff tried to sell us the come often and get points card that I have to pay $25.00 a year for. NO THANKS! Can't even pay me to eat here! Waste of $100. Save your money and go somewhere else. There are a hundred options in Orlando. By the way, they brought out my dinner without the prime burger on the plate. The manager wanted to bring my plate though the restaurant and back to the kitchen- am I the only one who seems something wrong with this?

JUST AIGHT When I'm paying $45+ for a steak, I expect everything to be perfect. Unfortunately, Palm was slammed the night my friends and I went and the service was poor. It took almost 20 minutes for our waiter to take our order, our water glasses were empty for most of the dinner, and our steaks were slightly overdone. Despite being overcooked, the steaks were pretty good, but I've had significantly better $45 steaks in my life so I'm definitely not in any rush to go back. One the plus side, our waiter was apologetic for the long wait and comped us a bottle of wine.

wow that was a great dinning experience. The server was the best and the tuna and crab cakes don't get any better. Do have the flourless cake with rasberry and cream. A little pricey.

The meal of meals. I love the Palm and rejoice each and every time I know I will be eating there. I order the filet and always the delicious goat cheese mashed potatoes or the creamed spinach. I have eaten at every high end steak house known to man, but for some reason the Palm holds the title for the best in my eyes. The service is always impeccable and the Prime cut steaks are so delicious. Sure it is an expensive meal, but what steakhouse meal is not? Capital Grille serves a lower grade of meat (Choice) and still manages to charge prices comparable to Palm. The difference truly is in the cut- Palm makes the cut (Prime) everytime!!!!

Don't leave Orlando without a trip to this place. The fillet mignon is always the best test of a steakhouse and this piece of meat was off the charts. I would've ordered 6 more if I could've fit them down my throat. The atmosphere is like a good cigar bar without all the smoke.

There's just something about me and Palm Restaurants...However, I give Orlando 5 stars compared to Vegas' 4 start because the selection I had was better...and because I didn't have to pay for it. =) It's located right next to the Hard Rock lobby. We had the private room and the menu was fixed. We started off with the boiled crab cakes with mango salsa was the best crab cake I have ever had. It's not too oily like the rest of the cakes out there. It just melts in your mouth and you can eat 1 or 2 or 3..... The steamed asparagus was nicely smothered in garlic and oil. The creamed spinach complimented my filet mignon (yes again) very well. The vegetarian pasta was pretty tasteful for a vegetarian dish. For dessert, the chocolate cake "piece" was actually like a quarter of the cake itself! The cheesecake was yummy, however you know you can only have a few bites since it's so rich. Overall, I think whatever you order, you cannot go wrong!

The Palm is positioned as a top-tier steak house, and while I wasn't disappointed, I also wasn't overly impressed. Given the pricing I think most people, myself included, expect to be "Wowed!" First the good...the food. They're currently running a promotion for $39 that includes your choice of salad or lobster bisque, and either Filet Oscar (topped w/ lump crab meat), NY Strip au poivre, or some fish (it's a steakhouse, so this wasn't even considered by us). I had the bisque (4/5), which was slightly thick for my taste, but had all the rich creaminess with notes of sherry/brandy and pepper-y-ness(?) that I have come to expect from a lobster bisque. Also the NY Strip came out cooked a nice Medium Rare, topped with a great peppercorn sauce (4/5). It was accompanied with sweet potato fries (5/5) and since I don't love cream spinach I got the potatoes au gratin (3/5 - undercooked). Now the bad...Service was very sub-par. She wasn't exactly rude, but she would quickly check if anyone needed anything and if nobody spoke up immediately she would vanish. Several times we had to get the attention of a nearby server to get our cocktails refilled, which I think is completely unacceptable at a restaurant like the Palm. Also, it was about half-way through our appetizers that we finally got water, and even then it was because we had to ask, it was never offered. Last complaint about the service - she had NO personality. We were a group of 6 guys out to have a good time at dinner, and she was so bland. I would expect much more attentive and personable servers at restaurant like this. Usually my expectations of service are in line with pricing, if food is less than $10 I expect very little and tend to be pleasantly surprised, but when I'm paying over $50 and expected to tip 20%+ then I expect outstanding service. Overall - I think it's closer to 3.5 stars as there are better steakhouses in Orlando to drop $80 on a great meal. Personally I'm partial to Morton's, but full disclosure, I used to work there. Del Frisco's is also a fantastic place to go for a special occasion, and I think both of these restaurants offer a little more ambiance, as the Palm seemed a little too casual for my taste given the supposed caliber of restaurant. Also I think most of the other steakhouses run similar specials in the $40-$50 range during the slow summer season, so check out your other options before committing to the Palm.

For a steak restaurant, the steak was bad. Period. It didn't taste right when I was eating it at the time - I just thought it didn't have enough flavors, very blah and overcooked to medium (asked for medium rare) but I had good company so I didn't make a comment to the server. However, about two hours after dinner my stomach wasn't feeling so well....needless to say I don't plan on going back there any time soon.

It's a solid 3.5 star... Just had dinner here while vacationing over the weekend at the Hard Rock Hotel. They are running a Surf & Turf special for $45.95 which includes salad, 9oz filet, lobster tail or shrimp scampi or crab cake, 1 side and creme brulee or key lime pie. A great value. I was very impressed with the food quality. Ate at the Palm in Boston over 10 years ago and this is my 2nd time. Boston has a great selection of steak houses and for some reason the Palm never made it in the Top 3 when going for a steak dinner. After this visit, I will definitely visit the Boston location. I do have to say the service was not as attentive as it should be. They came to the table right away but service started to lack after the entree was served. Also, the pacing of the meal was slower than expected. This was on a Sunday night around 7:30pm and the restaurant was over half empty.

I visited the Palm Restaurant w/hubby & my 11-year-old stepdaughter. We decided to dress up and have a nice dinner before watching part two of the Harry Potter final installment. The restaurant itself is very fun, with all its caricatures of both national and local celebrities (the CEO of my company is on the wall, too!). The Palm recently completed a brand refresh, so the ambiance is a little more muted with lower lighting, from what I hear. The restaurant in Orlando is one of the few that has a kid's menu and my stepdaughter enjoyed the "best chicken tenders," she said. Hubby enjoyed his very own customized surf-and-turf -- a 14-oz New York Strip Steak that was butterflied for him with an awesome lobster tail -- while I had a delicate Chilean Sea Bass with this sauce they described as corn salsa, but didn't look or taste anything like it. It was good, tho! We all shared sauteed spinach and delicious hash browns as sides and by teh end of the meal, we were SO full, we didn't have room for dessert!!. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we will go back again -- next time, I won't eat as much bread and I'll be sure to get dessert!! The only thing that made it less than perfect was that our server seemed like he was really nervous the whole time. There was a second server that also was bringing out our food and when my stepdaughter asked for honey mustard to go with her chicken tenders, he came back and said they didn't have it in house so the chef MADE it! And she said "It doesn't taste like they had to make it," which in 'tween talk means it's good!!! P.S. I had previously been here for another event and tasted the delicious lobster cobb salad, which is also amazing!!!

Very average. Had the bone in ribeye medium rare. It was slightly overcooked, closer to medium. Flavor was mild not exeptional. Not tough but not real tender either. Service was good. Overall not quite worth the money.

The food was real good I had the 9 oz filet but it was so loud. It was crowded because of the convention in town but the service staff had to yell to tell you the specials. I wanted to take a client to talk a little business but the atmosphere at the table of 7 of us I had to yell across the table and really listen to hear. My guest said that's typical but I did not know if it was just the table I was at but it seemed that everybody in the restaurant was yelling in order to hear a conversation not for the hard of hearing. I have been to all the best steakhouses and yes they are loud but not this loud.

We went here to celebrate my Lady's birthday. Overall, it was OK - actually a little meh for the price. I almost want to give it two stars... Actually, I think I will. My best reference to here would be Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, as I don't go to a lot of upscale places. We each had a drink. They were $8.37 for their happy hour, and we had to get up from our table to get them from the bar to qualify. Why? Mine was kind of terrible - definitely not worth it. It was some sort of lemon drop. If made well, it shouldn't taste like pure alcohol, but it kinda did with a little lemon in it. It was supposed to have some Contreau, and I know what that tastes like, but I'm fairly certain that it didn't. What a ripoff, really. My lady had some seabass. She had the same thing at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and said it was better there. We got a side - family style like Ruth's Chris of Asparagus. It was OK, but we could have gotten a little more for the price, I feel. It's probably totally reasonable though, because of the "upscaleness" - I think around $8. Me being me, I got the cheapest thing on the menu - the burger. It was decent, but it was FREAKIN HUGE! That's usually a good thing, but I could hardly eat it. I will refer to it as "THE BURGER OF SHAME". In a bar, I'd welcome this, but dressed up in nice clothes and a jacket, accross from someone, who is gracefully enjoying a fancy meal, I'd rather not look like a slopply fool. They had half price bottles of wine on Sunday and Monday - her birthday was a Monday. I considered getting their cheapest bottle, but we decided to move on. My stomach felt satisfied, and if we didn't have a $50 gift card (thanks to my lady's amazing luck - she wins everything - and to Yelp), my wallet would not have been at all! Honestly, I may have enjoyed the Dippin' Dots that we got later just as much, if not more, than the meal. Especially the drink. And there was no shame in eating them. It was nice to be fancy, get dressed up and what not, but it can be done other places for the same price and probably be better. The waiter seemed good enough, the bread basket was good and all, but they were simply on-par. It seemed like the waiter wasn't too interested if he couldn't up-sell us. The one recommendation that I have is to join their club and get a free lobster on your birthday. It costs $20, and then they give you $20 to spend there. Oh, and I got an invitation to take a survey to get $25 there afterward... I wonder if it's still good? If so, I'll come back during happy hour and eat some of their appetizers with it. At least they validated parking...

This was my first time visiting the Palms and I loved the fact that the Palms had separate rooms for private dinner parties with doors that you could keep open or shut depending on the amount of privacy you wanted. And while we had a private room available, I still felt that the service and the food preparation were not given the same level of details as what the other guests may have received in their earlier reviews. So needless to say, I was quite bummed out about the experience I (and others in our dinner party) had. The service was definitely a bogey. I ordered a glass of wine and because it was a large party, the server's assistant was left in charge of delivering the wine. The server checked on the group and commented to me 3 times that he would make sure my wine would come. And while he did deliver the glass of wine, it sadly took 45 min. The food preparation was also a miss. My Filet was overcooked, (you should never deliver a well cooked steak to someone who orders it medium rare) my friend's NY Strip was undercooked, (He ordered his medium well and got his rare...meaning red in the middle and cool to the touch) so we traded. I'm not too big of a fan of the cut he had but if it took 45 min to get a glass of wine, we both were not in the mood to wait another 45 min to get our meals corrected....especially since everyone else in the party had their food and we all had planned on going out for a couple of cocktails afterwards. As for the other food, the salmon was bland, and the green beans were still pretty crunchy and not cooked long enough. On the plus side, a lot of people were a fan of their traditional mashed potatoes, cheesecake and key lime pie. I've heard so many good things about the Palms through close friends and their great dining experiences and while I think the experience was due to the fact that it was a planned dinner party with a pre fixe menu, I still think it shouldn't have been that much of a miss. (am I right or wrong here??) Either way, we all still had a great time chatting it up over food, so not all was lost. :)

We went on a Wednesday night for an earlier dinner before a concert. The service was great our waiter keep us plenty "hydrated" as we requested. My wife had the lump crab meat cocktail. The crab pieces were big and the horseradish was as hot as the waiter warned. I had the beef carpaccio and it was also delicious. The only complaint that I would have wit it was it was still slightly frozen. I know that is the how you cut it but it would have been nice if they waited until it thawed a little more, but it was still great. I had the bone-in ribeye and it was cooked perfectly. It was a great piece of meat. We shared the three cheese au gratin potatoes and they were great. My wife had the wedge salad and she was completely satisfied with it. The blue cheese strong but not over powering and it had great flavor. The addition of candied walnuts was a nice treat, we used to a wedge without walnuts. We finished the night with the key lime pie and it was a great way to complete the meal. All in all the cocktails, service and most importantly the food met all of our expectations.

Nice rendition of the classic NY steak house, with a menu better balanced to lighter fare like salads and seafood. All of their items will serve you well. The house salad is stuffed full of shrimp. The lump crab cocktail with spicy seafood sauce is amaze-balls. The veal Milanese is as big as a hubcap.

Quick, attentive service from everyone we came in contact with. We all cleared the Gigi salad from our plates. Kids split the king crab legs. Hubby and I shared the strip for 2 carved at the table. Side order of shrooms were savory and perfect. Desserts were creme brûlée, chocolate cake, bread pudding and cheesecake. All delicious. Never had better.

Whilst at Universal Studios for a weekend, we enjoyed a superb meal here at The Palm. I had the NY Strip which was perfect. I've dined at many a prime steakhouse and will attest that this steak was worth every penny of the $49.00 cost of entry. The service was great, as was my two glasses of wine. We enjoyed the bag of fresh donuts for dessert. The entire experience was wonderful.

As a 837 Club member, I love eating at all the Palm restaurants. The first one I went to was in 1989 when I was in college. Since that time, I have been eating at Palms all over the US. This Palm is located in the Hard Rock Hotel. Upon arriving, we dropped off our car at the valet (complementary) and was warmly greeted by the mgr. After being seated at a huge booth, we started to sample all of their tasty bread selections.....all were excellent. Our waiter Joe was the best, he waited on our table and seemed to always be there when needed. We ordered the lobster bisque, rib-eye steaks and lamb chops. The bisque was so fuckingoutstanding that after the first bowl, we ordered a 2nd bowl.....it was that good, so creamy, and full of flavor, ahhhhhhhh. The rib eye steak came cooked to perfection, the marbling (fat) on the steak gave the meat an extra layer of juicy flavor that was sooooooo gooood. The lamb chops were also super tasty, tender and juicy. The sides of sauteed corn (with bacon/onions) and onion rings/potato chips were perfect sides to our meats. Soooooo goood............the lobster bisque and rib eye steak were so good that I came in my pants........Yes, it was that good! I am going to eat at the Palm until I get a cartoon of myself on the wall, ($15,000.00) is the cost!! I just love these old school (business suit/cigar smoking/cognac drinking) steakhouses. For me, since 1989.

I've dined here numerous times and have always had great service and food. It is better than the Boston Palm. The Boston Palm I would give 3 stars. I've been there numerous times also but my steak is always cooked wrong and I feel it is overpriced and never that busy. The Orlando Palm is always busy, therefore, the food is always fresh. Look at the inside corner flap of the menu and there is a special chef's suggestion menu. We had a special arugula salad with watermelon and a honey balsamic dressing which was fantastic. I would have never assumed the flavors of watermelon and arugula could blend so well but they did here. The sides at the Palm are huge and well worth the money. It's located in the Hard Rock Hotel lobby and well worth a visit.

Boy! That's good! My sister and her family took us here for dinner. I had been with them once before. They normally went to the one that used to be in Tampa. My brother-in-law recommended the veal Parmesan. Wow! It's huge!!! I had a ton to take home. Best I've had in a while. The half and half was also good. Half onion string and half chips. We also had creamed spinach. I normally don't order spinach, but my sister swore by it. Excellent! My family knew the server from the Tampa location. Alfredo is awesome! He knew all of them and remembered what they normally ordered in Tampa. He was so nice to us and was excellent at recommending a good tequila (our favorite!) Prices are steep, but as they say, you get what you pay for. I'll have to try a steak next time.

Our experience was not good. It started from the entrance where we were told that the restaurant is fully booked. Went back to the hotel lobby where the concierge booked the Palm without any waiting. So we went back. The waiter was very pushy, grabbing things from our hands, throwing things on the table where he could not reach. Then the food... I did not expect Michelin star quality although the price certainly indicates that. All three dishes were so-so, the quality of the ingredients was good but the kitchen did not do a good job. Overall, I can not fail a single thing as the whole experience was consistently bad. If you care about the taste of food I would recommend to find something else. Absolutely not worth the price.

This Is without a doubt our Favorite restaurant in Orlando. No one does an 18oz New York Strip better than The Palm Restaurant! We order it "rare plus" for temperature. Complement it with sides of their sautéed mushrooms, mac-n-cheese and you are good to go. The friendly staff here is the real draw for us as we are always treated as if we were dining in a friends home. Michael Martin and his team spoil their clientele, so you always come back for more.

That was probably the best wait service I have ever had. We ordered a full lobster, and boy, was it amazing! My family all got steak, but I went the chicken route with their chicken parmesan. BUT the best part was the dessert. Gotta get the Donuts!!

I just had drinks here with a friend after Velvet Sessions the other day. The bar has changed a little bit but that's ok. The drinks were strong but a little pricy. The bartenders very nice and funny too. Just to let you know the bar in closes at 10 pm but the Velvet Bar closes at 1am. Look at the walls to fine locals

This is a expensive restaurant. So much so that a 3 pound lobster tail for $100 should be amazing, but it was a dead piece of rubber. I sent it back immediately, while I sat and watched my girlfriend eat a very good steak. For the price they charge they don't get a second chance to not kill a lobster. Just another overpriced theme park restaurant.

No cheese curds on the menu here, but they put a blue cheese crust on my fillet and a large side order of triple cheese Au Gratin potatoes sure handled my cheese craving while out of town for business.

I wish I could give them 3.5 stars because the service was exceptional! The atmosphere is exactly what you would expect from an upscale steakhouse, but was extremely loud and I felt that I had to yell to be heard over the table. The lobster bisque soup is phenomenal and my husband just about licked the bowl clean. We share a ginormous lobster and a bunch of sides. Our faves were the brussel sprouts and asparagus. Next time I go, I would try the steak since the lobster was a bit on the rubbery side... or just eat a bunch of sides ;-)

Visited the Palm for Thanksgiving 2010 and left full and extremely satisfied. I've been to 2 other Palm locations in the last 10 months and this was the best experience of the 3. As usual, the food was excellent. Ordered the surf & turf special for $49: good caesar salad, excellent filet and lobster tail, delicious sides (creamd spinach, sauteed string beans, mashed potatoes, 3 cheese potatoes) and good flourless choc. cake. Service is exactly what you would want from this type of high end restaurant; knowledgeable, friendly, and on top of everything from bread to water to substitutions on the special menu (chicken picatta n turf for my land-loving sister). Managers checked in and were friendly from reservations to walking out. As for the space, nice big booths make the space comfortable and allow some privacy; private rooms and tables for big groups were available. Of course, the signature magazine/newspaper clippings and characatures let you know that you're @ the Palm.

Love all the Palm restaurants we've dined at over the years. As an artist I really enjoy the cartoon art presented in the Palm's classic elegant ambiance. Oh and the food is not either! Miss the Coral Gables location. Still enjoy Ft. lauderdale and especially the Orlando location.

How can you go wrong with this place? Yes, it is a chain but with top quality food/drinks and service.

I like drinking here. I like my Belves filthy & I like that they hand me extra olive juice. I like not having to go into the restaurant to eat. I like listening to the smack talk at the bar. I like that their slices of cake are the size of my head (read: that's really big). I like that no one bothers me unless I look thirsty or hungry. I like Palm's bar.

great atmosphere. our server Alex C. was phenomenal! we got calamari which was great for an app. my fiancé got veal parm, he loved it and I got crab cake entree which I wasn't so thrilled about but the manager came right over and took it off the bill. the serve was great the atmosphere was great I couldn't have asked for a better place...just wished I ordered something different...crab cakes are hard to order out I guess.

I wish I could give this restaurant 10 stars. Out of this world! I took my sister here for her birthday dinner and she has mentioned this meal every single day since we ate here. She proclaimed that it was "the best meal she's ever had in all of her 26 years of life". She had the filet with au poivre sauce and I had the NY strip. We decided to order the pancetta green beans and three cheese potatoes au gratin for our sides. The steaks were cooked to perfection. Both of us thought that they were orgasmic. The sides were incredible too - especially the au gratin. Definitely don't skip those potatoes. Luckily we saved room for dessert, and we're so glad we did. I ordered the special dessert of the night which was a hazelnut torte. I'm a huge nutella fan, and this cake was epitome of that...it was unreal. My sister couldn't decide, so she had our fabulous waiter Lauren pick for her. Lauren surprised my sister with the bag of donuts. They come out in a paper bag and you shake them around to coat them in cinnamon and sugar. Top that off with chocolate and raspberry sauce to dip them in - divine. Overall, the experience was incredible. Lauren was fantastic and really treated us great. There are no adjectives big enough to describe how good the food was. My only problem is that there isn't a Palm closer to my house.

Pricey....but soooo good. My boyfriend and I were staying in hard rock and just tried the place. We went twice while on vacation. The steak was amazing...the oysters were really good too! Wed definitely come back.

Well, it's been a year since our last visit. But the results are exactly the same ... Great welcome from Christian, great service from Alex and a wonderful Bone in filet mignon, accompanied by a chop salad for my wife a Caesar salad for me and an order of the absolutely decadent half and half chips/strings! The price is climbing making my visits less frequent but for a special meal it will always be on my list!

I ordered the King Crab legs & they were AWESOME !!!! Their bar bites are great as well...They do not have that in Miami & I have to ask why ? The King crab was so succulent and they actually split the shell so you do NOT have to do ANY DIGGING for the meat !!! The staff was so friendly & made you feel " at home" If you are planning a trip to Orlando plan a trip here for dinner it really is a great place !!!

My husband and I were first time diners at The Palm as Winter Park residents. Possibly, picked the wrong night as it was very noisy, unpleasant, a Universal crowd, indeed. Silverware clanking in our ears! Service was just ok. They were out of their bread, normally served. Candles on the table fake. Caesar salad very average. Cocktails at the bar were the highlight of the evening. Overall, did not meet our expectations of a high end steakhouse of which we have dined in. Most probably our mistake - we tried, not again.

Alfredo made it better than perfect... I was happy to get Alfredo for our waiter as another reviewer mentioned him by name. The reason for the trip, was that we were celebrating our daughter's honor roll grade. The food is outstanding. When Alfredo brought the Congratulations card at the top of the meal I thought that was going to be it. No, what came next, made me cry. After dinner, Alfredo brought out the dessert chef with a beautiful dessert that had her honor roll grade marked in chocolate on the plate! The topper was the lit candle. She received the star treatment! Very comfortable, no rush and well worth the experience. I can speak highly on the lamb. I have had it in many restaurants. This was by far the best I have ever had. Thank you, Alfredo and to the dessert chef for making my daughter smile!!

Fantastic service and a great menu! We had steak, salmon and Chilean sea bass and all was excellent. The sides are served family style so there is plenty for your table.

Amazing food and service. My husband and I split a surf and turf which was re commended by the waiter. The strip steak and lobster were perfect .... The best ever. The wine list is extensive. We started by splitting a green salad and finished with the cheese cake. I would highly recommended this restaurant.

Living on past laurels. For the prices, I expect more than an Outback steak. Service was very good, but the quality of the food was just a tad over average and my filet (cooked perfect) was definitely not prime. creamed spinach was mush. Disappointed as I've eaten @ many Palms, including the original in NY.

Great time at The Palm!! Capri salad was delicious as was the meatball appetizer. The filet was cooked to perfection and the creamed spinach was amazing as well. Not once did we wait on a glass of wine or food. It kept flowing! Service was great!

We visited with the sole purpose of having the 4lb Lobster and it was very good. The meat was cooked to perfection and it delivered that soft buttery flavor one craves. The cost was reasonable at about $100.00 for the monster lobster. The service was ok, the waiters are a bit pushy when it comes to ordering additional items. Our server mentioned the Holiday Gift Cards numerous times and the deal was not anything special. Spend $250.00 on a gift card and receive $25.00 which to me is not a deal. I attempted to join the 837 Club but I was told that as of right now they are not accepting new members which was disappointing considering we spent a good amount of money on our dinner.

We did the surf n turf with my wife for our 2nd wedding anniversary. It was a 16oz new york strip and a lobster tail with sauteed broccoli. I'm a big fan of steak so I have higher standards of it and I have to tell you it was the best new york strip I've ever had! I've been to a few high ranked restaurants but in the Palm they know how to cook a steak to perfection. Loved the atmosphere too. It's a little overpriced but it was worth every penny for the experience.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. The server was very accommodating and was cool with us bringing our own bottle of wine. The atmosphere is really nice. It's dark in there but it is perfect for this kind of restaurant. My steak was cooked to perfection and our side dishes were amazing too. We had to leave quickly to get to a concert and the server got us out quickly. Next time we will hang out a bit more because it is a really nice place to have some good wine and conversation.

This is an old school steakhouse. The Gigi salad was a good addition to the meal - great textures and flavors. The new York strip was cooked perfectly and the veal parmigiano was HUGE! Skip the side of pasta. The creamed spinach has a nice nutty flavor. The asparagus fritti was yum! The wines by the glass offer a lot of good options.

Located inside the Hard Rock Hotel on the Universal Studios property....the Palm delivers like its sister restaurants. Hunkering for a good piece of meat and a good bloody mary...then this is the place. Your basic selection of aged meats (or a 3 lb lobster if you are a non carnivore) - I went for the 24 ounce ribeye.....was cooked to perfection. Great friendly service in the classic Palm white waiter uniforms. Lots of selections - always go for the asparagus sauteed nicely in lemon garlic butter. The creamed spinach and potatoes Au gratin were also good. Good Caesar salad and a good breadbasket to start with red Hawaiian salt butter (yes it is still just salt). Great selection of home made sauces to accompany your meat. True steak house spirit for the carnivore! Cool small but classic bar counter as well to wait for a table or just grab a cocktail at. Typical palms interiors with the dark woods and caricatures of the many stars who have dined at the original palms. I still prefer Smith & Wollensky, Houstons or Ruth Chris....even the favorite Arroyo Chop House better as for the $$ those are still better.

We came to this restaurant to have a quiet and relaxing dinner after the parks... WRONG! I was so loud in that restaurant my family had to talk VERY loudly to here each other! Now food... 15 ounce lobster was not 15 ounces, more that 10, but that was the best thing. My steak was rare and had tendons, and was cold. So, my dinner was just green beans and spinach, I thought I would turn into Popeye! So, if you want a relaxing dinner do NOT come here!

Great place to go for dinner and some drinks before a show at Hard Rock Live, which you can walk over to from here. Bartenders are excellent and always make us feel welcome. Food has always been very good, both in the bar and in the restaurant.

I had dinner at The Palm on Orlando 1-1/2 weeks ago with my three sisters and we enjoyed a terrific meal. It wasn't a perfect experience, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. After we were seated, the person whom we were told would be our server never appeared. But we didn't have to wait long for another server, Julian, to appear and take care of us. I had heard that The Palm strives to make its customers feel like part of the family and Julian embodies that sense of hospitality. In fact, other servers worked with him as a team to take care of us, offering bread or water, whenever any of them saw the need as they passed our table. A second glitch in the service happened when a server asked whether I'd like another cocktail. I said, "Yes.", but it never appeared until the charge for it appeared on our bill. Someone apologized for the error and took care of it, so it wasn't a big deal to me. At least four different servers pitched in to take care of us so the mistake in coordination was understandable. The food was terrific, from the touch of nutmeg in the creamed spinach to my perfectly cooked ribeye. A word of warning, though; if you like your steaks salty, The Palm seasons it's steaks with a very light hand. The bottom line to this review is that we had such an enjoyable meal that I joined The Palm's 837 Club and just enjoyed another terrific meal at the original restaurant, Palm One, at 837 2nd Avenue in Manhattan.

Excellent steaks and seafood. This visit we had the lobster special. The lobster had great flavor and the sides we had (creamed spinach and potatoes au gratin) were great. The chocolate cake was great for dessert. The service here is extremely attentive.

Date night for my wife and I after I had just returned from the 7 month Navy deployment and while visiting the Hard Rock Hotel with entire family. Great 2 hour getaway from all the kids......staff was incredible....from phone reservations with Marisa, to our hostess (forgive me....I forgot her name) and to our waiter Gabe; everyone made us feel like we were owners of the property. Gabe was an extremely knowledgable server.....knew everything about The Palm and steak. Portions were huge, steak was prepared perfectly, wine inventory is impressive. Yes, it is expensive (has nothing to do with the Hard Rock Hotel or Universal).....it's "The Palm" (not Outback). You pay for the quality of food and service.....and, you get that 5-star service. We went at 8pm and it was very crowded (for a Tuesday night)....Assistant Manager cited that about 40% were regulars and the rest were from the fully booked Hard Rock and Portifino Hotel. And, my wife and I both dressed for the property (jacket for me, dress for her).....but, property is very forgiving on attire....since it is a Theme Park resort Hotel (but, others attire did not bother me.....I was only concerned about my wife and my steak). We will return, during each visit to Orlando. Want to impress your spouse or girlfriend----here you go! Go to The Palm!

Myself and 2 other ladies had a girls night out here during magical dining month. A couple of things to keep in mind when dining here: 1- soda is in the little glass bottles, ie no free refills at $4/ea 2- when they say a side of broccoli, they mean a single little "branch", be prepared to pay for an additional side 3- Meat is one temp lower than normal, ie. medium is actually medium rare. Good meal, filet was insanely tender and well seasoned. The only reason the review wasn't better is because we had 2 servers but never saw any of them after our meals arrived and I'm a girl who likes to eat and that meal was smalllllllllll on my scale. I'd go back, but not by my request. Oh and they validate parking and you can take the water taxi over to City Walk.

Wow, this was a pleasant surprise. We stayed at the hard rock hotel and I was really in the mood for a steak. We went here and my wife and I split the double cut strip. The steak was beautifully cooked mid-rare, and sliced right at the table. The creamed spinach was great and our waiter was wonderful. This place is legit. The steak was one of the best I've had in a while, and I'd put it right on par with Peter Lugers and Keens in NYC.

This was truly a disappointment for a chain that I frequent and consistently enjoy. My suspicion is that this location, which is in the Hard Rock Hotel, sacrifices the speed of their service since most clients are on vacation. The quality of the food was excellent as usual, but the meal time was absurdly long and even after bringing it to the attention of the wait-staff, we received a very luke-warm "sorry, we are busy tonight" response. The manager came over, asked how things were as part of making his rounds and when we indicated that we were there for 2 hours without our entrees, he just said sorry and walked off. At that point, we were over a barrel so we just stayed and ate, but I will definitely not look to rush back to this location, which is a shame.

Second time eating at a Palm resturants. My wife and I had eaten at the Palm in Las Vegas years ago with no real memory of how the food was then. we decided based on google search for best steak houses in Orlando to give this one a try. Wish I would have kept driving. 360.00 for my wife myself & my 15 year old son. Money isn't an issue if the food service and ambiance are above par. Ordered a 24 bone in ribeye split for my wife and I and the Palm special Lobster which came with a salad and a family side, my son ordered the Tuna. The steak was ordered medium but came out rare & cold. The lobster came out split with the guts still in it ?? Nasty gray smelly guts all over the lobster tail. the first bite of clam meat I spit In my napkin because it tasted rotten. My sons's tuna was decent and the salad was average.but for such a high end high dollar resturants I expected way way better attention to detail service and food quility. Eat at Capital Grill save money & enjoy a much better steak, better service & better atmosphere. Won't return for any reason.

The Palm Orlando is one of the best restaurants in the city. I have been coming here for about 3 years now and couldn't ask for a better place to eat. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with a smile. Ask for server Timmy as he is very personable and makes you feel as if you have been friends for years! The food is ALWAYS good. Steaks melt in your mouth and the Lobster Bisque soup is the best I have ever had. We return just for the soup! Be sure to ask Christian (The in house Sommelier) for wine parings. He is a PRO and always gives a good recommendation! They have a great desert menu as well, which I highly recommend the Chocolate Cake. 1/2 portion will do...ITS HUGE! Happy Hour is GREAT! They have a very intimate bar. 1/2 apps and drinks from 5-7pm. Jesse and Tracy are always there to greet you and make you feel welcome! They are the best bartenders in Orlando. I hate calling them that though, as they are more like family now! You can't go wrong! Become a member of the 837 Club. You earn points each time you dine which you can use for rewards, and they offer you member only special promotions! The cost is $25 but you get a gift card of the same amount to use on your next visit! This restaurant is a MUST for anyone. Great for Couples, business dinner or just to try to Lobster Soup! (They have a kids menu as well)

Went there again this year. Big improvement in the food. Everything was perfect (though we didn't order any specials this time). Service was incredible. The place was quiet, being a Sunday night in October so our server, Tim was even likely more attentive because he could, but none the less, he was exceptionally nice and right on top of everything. He proactively provided great service, helped us make selections and was just all around great. Food was perfect like I said. Well prepared, great piece of beef. Apps were excellent, no complaints. I don't know if they've raised their prices, but it seemed significantly more expensive this year than last, with one less adult but everything otherwise relatively the same. It's a great high end restaurant and in terms of service you do get what you would expect but food wise it's a bit of a stretch. While excellent, we basically ate the same thing a few nights earlier at Emeril's Tchoup chop for a lot (like 1/3rd less) less but with equal service.
