This Outback is never crowded despite being right by the florida mall. it's a chain so the food is consistent and really reasonably priced. GET THE STEAK. I've been so upset lately going to really nice expensive restaurants that can't cook my steak right (Medium RARE people!). It's always perfect here, which is why I keep going back. They are friendly and the food comes out FAST. The draft beers are also cheap and large. A great week night winner.

This Outback gets a rating of three stars from me because of the lack of quality service I've received each time I've visited. It's an overall consensus and my last visit was the worse. There is nothing more frustrating and disappointing than having breakfast, lunch, or dinner (some of the most important meals to people) and not being treated like welcomed guests. I'm usually out with my husband during lunch hours and what we want is to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing moment away from the office. Even if the food is good (which in this case it always is) it's not worth sacrificing good service just because the food is good. During our last visit the waitress seemed like she didn't want to be there. She was very un-attentive, and did the bare minimum. Even her greeting was less than enthusiastic. I wasn't looking for leaps and cartwheels but a greeting with a smile wouldn't have been much to deliver, ya think? You ever had that feeling like your waitress or waiter has disappeared on you, yes? Well, that's exactly what we experienced. During another visit we encountered a problem with the hostess. In this particular location they have fruit infused water up at the front entrance. It looked enticing, especially because it's the way I love to drink my water. But, the glasses that are provided for you to serve yourself were dirty. I mean DIRTY! I picked up four and each one had some kind of smudge on it. So when he sat us at our table I told him and he seemed to get offended. What? Really? I had to tell him go look for himself. He tried to convince me I was picking up the already used glasses which I wasn't. The ones that were used were faced up, the ones that were not were faced down. It's a clear distinction. Needless to say, vibes are important especially where I'm eating and because of my lifestyle I eat out a lot. Dining is important and that includes well rounded, up to par service which is something this location lacks especially during lunch hours.

Jonathan and the rest of the staff were above and beyond fabulous! They took great care of us and honestly cooked the best burger I've had to date. Recommend visiting Jonathan & friends if you're in the area. We're locals and will be back!

The staff does a really nice job at taking care of the little things which makes the experience enjoyable. They were quick to set up an 8 top during a busy lunch hour and all dishes came out quickly and tasty. I can't give them a 4 because I've had better times at Outbacks in the area but a job well done overall

We visit here pretty regularly but lately they have been running out of the more popular cuts of meat(ie prime rib and rib eye). Other than that service is so so.

Absolutely fabulous service KATIE! The food was the best on our trip from Grants Pass Oregon too!

I am a steak lover and always a thrilling experience coming here on dinner dates or after shopping across from the Florida Mall (off of Sand Lake Road). Big fan of their blooming Onion appetizer mmmm YUM !

The server was just so slow and the shrimp was too salty. I love outback and haven't had any issues with services but this time everything was wrong. I asked the server paper napkins and he brought me brown paper from the bathroom. I really thought he was joking. Lmao! I don't think I'm gonna ever go back to FL mall outback

They start you off with their bread. A nice small warm loaf that taste good with the butter they supply. Take your big wide steak knife and slap some on a sliced off piece of bread and munch why you wait on your salad. A garden salad or Caesar salad are the options. I go with the Caesar salad that I don't think Cesar knew tasted so good. Today is to the Outback special and baked potato. I ordered the steak medium and it shows up barely warm and rare. Don't you hate if you have to send food back? Sending food back when you're dining with other people throws a dinner out of sync. The people I'm with are polite enough to want to wait until my plate comes back but I tell them no, eat your food before it gets cold. The returned steak is cooked just right and the baked potato is tasty with the chunky sea salt they use. The atmosphere inside is nice. We have a corner table and the restaurant lighting is at a nice dim level good for dining. Our server is polite friendly helpful and apologizes for the steak.

Katie is so personable and professional! The food came quickly, and it was done to perfection. The renovations are great, but there are a few leaks in the roof near the entrance that need to be corrected. I just can't get enough of their iced tea!!!

Bad experience here! Last time I invite another 3 friends for dinner in outback! I ask for medium rib eye, but they give me well well done. My friend's chicken is rare. My friend ask the server to call the manager. Did you see any manager have the Kitchen apron? Won't go!

Came here for dinner service. Had an amazing server who made sure we were taken care of. When service was slow for our appetizer he made sure to let us know he was working on it. The bloomin onion was awesome as usual. We got the steak and unlimited shrimp. The steak was cooked perfectly and the shrimp came out hot and delicious on each order. The manager came around multiple times and really interacted with the customers. He was even assisting the staff with everything. Overall it was the best experience I had at Outback.

Had issues getting served here once, but the manager took care of us ASAP and did a good job making it up to us. All other visits have been great! Very busy from time to time.

I am not to sure why everyone that reviewed this place gave it bad ratings and only one star, I though the place was not to bad and the service was not bad either. I was greeted at the door buy TWO of there employees as they opened the door for me, then was greeted by there hostess. The place is very small and it is located right across from the Florida Mall a very popular mall around the tourist area. I ordered the Outback special with a baked potato and everything on it, the steak was just like i ordered( medium well) and the potato was really good, also my steak was not dry or hard but tender, other people that got the same thing said that there steak was dry and over cooked witch that is one reason why i gave it three stars. The other reason i gave it three stars was the waiter took his sweet time to bring us bread and forgot couple of times when we had asked him to bring us bread. For appetizer we order the blooming onion and cheese fries and as greasy as those items are they were pretty good and tasted delicious. Service was OK and the food was not to bad ( as far as mine) others did not complain that much except for the steak part. The food is price very decent and not to expensive and also they had happy hour $2.00 drafts and $3.50 margaritas , I had a Michelob Ultra witch came in a huge mug. Also getting in to this place can be a bit confusing if you don't know were it is.

I really dont know why this location doesnt have all 5 stars! I guess everyone has a different experience and a different waiter/waitress. But me personally... i have no complaints at all... the food was great, came out fast, exactly how it was ordered, and the waitress was the best.

I was craving a nice piece of prime rib. Outback was close by so I stopped in. Service was prompt and courteous. Ordered a drink called the Wallaby..it was a frozen peachy drink made with champagne. My prime rib came soon after that.. and it was sooooooo good! Barely any fat, a perfect medium cut of meat. The baked sweet potato was cooked just right, and the amount of honey butter and brown sugar added to the taste. Green beans were a little crunchy, but ok. It was a fantastic meal, and I left full and very satisfied. I will be going back!!

My experience tonight was a prime example of excellent service recovery. I placed a to go order and upon pickup learned that the artichoke chicken flatbread had been discontinued...bummer. Then learned that my blooming onion was given away in error. The dining room manager came out to explain, apologize and provided 2 free blooming onion coupons for a future visit. Of course the one we did get was at no charge. Then the salads came without chicken...order taker error. I believe it was the general manager who came out to my car this time to apologize, offer us drinks or anything else while we waited. She then stood and chatted for a while which was a nice gesture. I offered to pay for the chicken. She said no. Albeit this was not the best curbside takeaway experience it was the best in service recovery. I've been eating here for years. If one not so good out of a bigillion good and this is how they respond..,they're doing pretty good and I'm a keeper!!!

My girlfriend and I are both fans of outback, we enjoy the food and experience a lot. Unfortunately, this Outback was a big disappointment. It wasn't busy during the time we went, so we figured service would be good and quick. Well, we figured wrong! Service was slow, especially during a non-peak time. We ordered two appetizers, which both came out luke-warm/cold. Almost half an hour later, our main courses came out which were good, but we weren't sure as to why it took so long. Even though the server was friendly, he tried to awkwardly associate himself contentiously with our conversations, which was weird.

I normally really like Outback but, at this location they usually don't prepare my food correctly and they have some of the rudest staff I have ever encountered. I will NEVER go back to this location.

I hesitated on this lunch decision but I let the passage of time sell me on the possibility of a positive visit. Well I can't say 100% dissatisfied, but a significant margin. I ordered the sandwich combo. That is 1/2 a sandwich and in my case, a wedge salad. Again I found myself cursing the fact that I need a smart phone so I can photograph my dining "experiences". The wedge was a picture perfect thing of beauty. Somebody really had their act together assembling this awesome salad. The lettuce was good and crisp, the blue cheese not over, or under done, the split cherry tomatoes were almost arranged to spatial perfection. The brown semisweet drizzle at just the correct amount to play off the blue cheese tartness! Best I've had in some time. Now the let down following the additional 30 minute wait, was to find the Prime Rib dip to be barely passable. I would have rejected the plate if I was intending on eating the impossibly hard bread. I guess the rationale is if we are serving it with dipping soup, you want the bread on the petrified side of the hardness scale? One other big problem though, the "onion soup" was more cold than it was warm. Man I hate it when you have invested too much time in a restaurant only to have the result be substandard. Its like a waste of life. I digress slightly... The prime rib meat had a fair sampling of gristle (okay three separate undesirable bites) and the cheese was so sparse it was as if having cheese on the sandwich was only by an accident. What a waste of my time, money and patience. The Prim rib did have a good taste though. Oh, even though it was lunchtime, when my order was placed the dining room was not really burdened yet. $9.58 (+ tip) for this semi let down experience. Guess I'll need to put this establishment on my (lunchtime) roll your dice list.

This is a great place to grab a healthy steak or fish dinner. Stick with the "lighter" options and you can't go wrong. Stay away from the dreaded bloomin' onion!

I wish I could give this place less than one star. I guess the service is deserving of more, but the food is so bad, that I will never be back. I was there with some friends, and when I got my meal, the mahi-mahi tasted fishy... Alarmingly fishy. I know what white fish is supposed to taste like, despite what the manager implied. I NEVER send back food, but I was fairly disgusted and didn't want to get sick. They let me pick a different fish, and I decided on the Salmon. By the time my meal arrived, everyone else was mostly done eating, so I dug in. The first couple of bites were ok but by the third bite, I realized that something was not right. I looked at the Salmon and it was RAW. Yes, RAW!! The management and "owner" came out and by then I was done trying to eat anything they had to offer. They wrote off my meal and gave us vouchers to come back, but only for 2 of the 4 of us at the table. Not really enough when the problem was that big... Then they go on to tell me that the first piece of fish didn't "smell" fishy... I grew up in Seattle.... I know what fish is supposed to taste like guy!!! Not to mention, it was a WHITE FISH which is NOT supposed to have a fishy flavor. Fishy means OLD. Between the abysmal food and the owner and manager implying that the food was fine and I didn't know what I was talking about, (they even asked me if I ever HAD fish before!), they didn't try hard enough to make it right and managed to piss me off on the process.

I've had some bad experiences at this restaurant, AND some really good ones. Last night was one of the good ones. It is an Outback, usually very consistent and good (for a chain) They are getting better, keep up the good work!

This was my worst experience at Outback. Dinner for two. Porterhouse Steak, medium rare, baked potato, house salad and sweet tea X2. Not a difficult order. One steak was rare the other was just short of well done and the baked potatoes were 3/4 raw. The service was decent and staff was friendly so I didn't want to complain about the entire order so we choked it down paid and left but never again. $66 for this meal was just short of robbery.

Wow! What an experience. Poor service and on game day you turn the TV from the lounge when we specifically ask for the game to be on and you tell us sure no problem. Skip it. Watch the game someplace else!

  • Glenn A.

Not too happy, actually leaving because we were sitting in the "lounge" and planning on eating and watching a college football game. Random server walks over and turns the TV towards the rest of the restaurant and recommended we could still watch if we moved seats. Service was mediocre to top it all off.
