So many well-intentioned brewpubs end up producing bland, thin beer that is really not worth drinking. OB is better than those brewpubs, but not by much. I stopped in for a Maibock and a English Pale Ale. The former was a bit disappointing without much going on. The latter was better with a nice hop aroma and initial bite that faded fast but ended up being a bit one-dimensional. Friendly service. I'd give it another try.

Good beer, and real, steel-tipped darts. We haven't found another place in the Oh-Doh that has real darts - just wish it was closer to downtown....

Good beer. Good people. Good atmosphere. The only down fall is that it's always hot inside when I go there. Their air conditioning doesn't work very well or they just don't use it...I don't know? Love going on Beer 30. $2 beers all day/night on the 30th of every month. Gives me a chance to try different beers I wouldn't normally have.

This stop was a definite highlight of our Orlando trip. I'm a big-time beer lover and based on reviews here, my wife and I decided to stop in. They have ~ 15 of their beers on tap and three guest taps. I ordered the 8-beer flight and my wife ordered a cider from the guest tap. We sat a the bar and our waitress was super. She was very knowledgeable about the beers, friendly, and open to questions. We missed the 6pm brewery tour but enjoyed a round at the bar. It was great!

Ok brews - a little pricey for the quality. Somewhat sketchy location. No food! Be prepared too order delivery if you want to eat...

Great spot to enjoy some locally made beers. I've only been on the 30th for their Beer:30 event (all Orlando Brewing drafts are $2, $3 cider), and had a pretty fun time for each visit. I only have 2 complaints: 1) they always seem understaffed at the bar. This causes a pretty long wait, usually 5-15 mins. 2) they keep having bands come and play. I don't think they really need to. Most people are there to chill and socialize. And a majority of the seating is outside, so it's tough to find a place to sit talk with friends. Having said that, the beers are phenomenal. I'm a huge fan of the Orlando Red and Orlando Brown. Definitely worth checking out, and it's great to support your local brewers!

I was expecting a bit more judging from their website but wasn't too disappointed that I felt like it was a bait and switch. The brewery is located on a desolate industrial side street. Keep an eye out as the sign isn't lit up and they're easy to pass by. Once inside, saddle up to the bar or grab a table, either way place your order with the all volunteer bar keeps. Seems like they are always pouring at least 15 handles of their own plus 3 guest brews. Tours at 6pm seem to get busy even on a Monday night. Good stuff Orlando Brewing.

I realize this place is getting mostly amazing reviews, which is probably due to the fact that it's the only local brewery and they have organic brews. Oh and I'm sure the welcoming environment is a plus as well. I just don't care much for their beer. Maybe it's the FL water they use or something, but it seems like there's not much "bite" or depth to them, if that makes sense. I'm sort of a beer snob and I'm just not impressed with what I've tasted so far. Perhaps a repeat visit is in order.

WOW! If you don't know where this place is you will never find it. Thanks to Rick who knew where to go!! Got my growler filled and had a good beer

This is not snobby stuff. It is an organic brew/pub with something for everyone. It is also completely local and the beer brewed on site. How awesome is that? The atmosphere is decidedly pedestrian. Don't come here expecting anything fancy. This is a place to chill out with friends - not necessarily a place to have a night cap on a date - unless your date is into this kind of thing. The bartenders are nice people, working entirely for gratuity so don't forget about em. As far as beer goes, their house-made brews are quite good but can be slightly on the hoppy side. Those looking for a lighter beer have a smaller set of options. They do feature some visiting craft beers that also tend to be outstanding. Prices will range between 4 to 6 bucks for a pint on top of tip. For first timers, I definitely suggest the beer flight (that comes in at 6 bucks). This way you can try 4 ozs of 4 different beers - a decent deal. If I had any concern about the place, it would be parking. This is in the industrial warehouse district south of downtown and the surrounding neighborhood is not particularly well lit on a typical night. The parking within the lot is limited and forces many patrons to find spots on the surrounding streets. Be mindful. Finally, I also suggest the brew tour offered at 6 pm each night. It is usually conducted by the owner or one of the brewmasters. It lasts about an hour long and is informative and slightly humorous (especially if they have been drinking prior/during).

This is one of the hidden gems of Orlando. If you look around the city, there are more and more great restaurants and eateries and in many of the best they serve Orlando Brewing Company products. Located in an industrial area, don't be afraid, Orlando Brewing will wow you with their brewed on the site choices. When we were there, they had about 12 different beers on tap. If you are so inclined, take the brewery tour (be sure to bring a beer with you, as it is a 'requirement'). There you will learn about how organic beer is brewed and how you need to stay away from bad american lager. The tasting room is dark, but sizeable, and has a little area on the side for events. If you are a visitor or resident, make this part of your Orlando visit.

I've been to Orlando Brewing twice now. Both times because Hadley's Hope was playing. I know one of the band members and wanted to support him. I grew up in the neighborhood and never knew it was back there. Nice and casual with all locals. Like an Orlando secret. I'm not a beer drinker. I prefer cider, but try one of their beers each time. Pretty inexpensive and locally made. How can you not support that. Make sure to stop by and check it out. Local bands play there quite often. Discover some new talent in the process.

Pretty friendly staff; very cool that servers are volunteer only yet they are rarely seen without a smile on their face. The beers themselves are good, not great. They do have a wide array of drafts, but nothing that memorable or noteworthy. Wouldn't mind going again, but wouldn't go out of my way to go.

Excellent brew and greet relaxing atmosphere. No food just beer but they have take out menus from nearby restaurants.

No beer aficianado could ever give this place more than 3 stars because the beer is okay only okay. The pale ale, okay. the porter, okay, the stout, okay. There isn't a good or great that is thrown in anywhere. Never seen them do anything creative or high gravity. They are the only people that brew beer in Orlando (which is ridiculous since there are 2 million people here) so if you have to drink somehting local this is it. Also, in an ugly run down industiral area south of town. Drive down I-4 90 minutes to go to Cigar City in Tampa if your looking for a place worth mentioning that brews beer, if not go to Red Light Red Light. A medicore beer is such a waste of time and calories. Atmosphere is pleasant enough and you can order in food from various chains (This is Orlando).

Really cool atmosphere, and a ton of great beers to try. Check out a sampler, and decide which one to drive a few more of into ya.

After hearing many great things from many awesome people, I finally made it out to Orlando Brewing. And suffice it to say that my visit to this local brewery did not disappoint. Granted my first time out to OB was on St. Patrick's day, one of the beeriest of all holidays, but still--getting to experience how certified organic beer is brewed FOR FREE and being able to take a beer on the tour (the tour is approximately 1 beer long) is truly an evening out that can't be beat. Not to mention that the brewery has an outdoor patio space in addition to the full bar, where local bands can be enjoyed simultaneously with the local brew. And during special events, a food truck or two can usually even be spotted outside. On top of all of this awesomeness, Orlando Brewing has monthly specials (beer 30) AND even offers the chance for interested patrons to volunteer (payment is in the form of free beer, of course!). As far as beer selection goes, I would have to recommend the Miami Weiss--it's a lighter beer with a crisp, clean taste that I found quite enjoyable. Probably the only awkward thing I would have to note about Orlando Brewing is that parking is very scarce, so if you are attending an event here plan on arriving super early so that you can get a legitimate parking spot. Other than that, just arrive ready to get your drink on!

The only real brewery I've been to in Orlando and I would give it 5 stars except I think there is room for growth. Yes, it's a tough love attitude, but I want them to really expand and grow. I want to see the local beermeister become just as famous as John from Rogue Brewery. I want people from the brewery towns of Denver, Seattle, Portland, and Boston to be pleasantly surprised by this gem tucked away in the warehouse district. It's almost there... It's just a few more beers away. They have great musicians playing through out the week. I'm talking some serious undiscovered talent comes in here, the staff is very pleasant, attentive and chill. Can I use the word chill to describe them? I guess what I mean is that they just go with the flow, they don't slam your drink down, or are to hurried to spend the time pouring your beer right. It's a must if you are in love with beer.

This place is a great hidden gem. The beer is delicious. There are so many options and types to choose from. They have live music, tours of the brewery, and not to mention they have two awesome events...Beer Thirty and the Cornhole tournaments. **cough**COUGH**almost got into the semin finals last month #justsayin :-) great time, great crowd, great beer. I approve

In my opinion one of the best kept secrets in orlando! This hidden place is the super chill and only the cool people know about it...they are the only ORGANIC Brewery in the state of FL. Brewery tours sometime around 6 cant quite remember. Cornhole tournaments, drumcircle, local bands, and on the 30th of every month several of the beers are just 2$! oh BTW the bartenders are considered volunteer and are on payroll, they work for just TIPS so dont forget to take care of them because they take care of you!!!

So here we are in Orlando on vacation and what do we want? Really good craft beer. We are the type that is always in search of a great local craft brewery and really great local mom and pop run restaurants. After much Yelping around, we had come across some reviews here. We went to this location on both of our trips to Orlando. They have a good selection of their own crafted beer as well as a great little environment. It's also all located in an industrial business area but it works. They only thing they are really lacking is parking, it is very limited. If they expand then I hope they find a place with better parking. You cannot go wrong with this craft beer location. Also go on the tour, it is a lot of fun.

This is a great place, full of great people who own, run, work and visit. We are truly lucky to have a great local brewery here in Orlando. The people truly love Beer and the craft, but I must say they are not snobby about this fact. They are 100% accepting of all who come in the door (if you are into beer or just want something cold). Their tap room is roomy and not cramped like some other places, the music is not incredibly loud, and they also have outside areas. If you are in Orlando and like good beer you owe it to yourself to stop on in.

We dropped in for Oktoberfest. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a rainy night, so it was crowded and hot inside ... but they had food trucks and extra capacity outside, had it been a drier Orlando evening. Friends ordered an Oktoberfest stein, which earned discounted refills throughout the celebration. They also offer a number of Sterling Vintner's Collection wines for the non-beer-drinkers (like myself). It was worth the off-the-beaten-path visit, and I'm sure our group will be back in the future.

Who woulda thunk hidden among warehouses and scrapyards would be Orlando's own organic brewing establishment. Just outside of downtown Orlando is Orlando Brewing. Home of over a dozen beers brewed right on the premises - they have a beer to fulfill everyone's taste. I myself fancy the Blackwater. I love to go during Beer:30. Held on the 30th of every month, beer is only $2 all day. You really can't beat that. The word is getting out - it seems every month there are more and more people showing up. Enjoying your beer and got the munchies? While Orlando Brewing doesn't serve beer, they offer up a menus of local restaurants that will deliver right to you, sitting on your barstool. Just call up and order and let them know where you're at. You can either hang out inside at the bar, or grab a table and chairs for your peeps. They have plenty of standing room and a corner where a live band is usually always playing. In the back they even have darts. You can sit outside on a handful of picnic tables when the weather is nice. The parking lot tends to fill up fast, so be prepared to park in the street. Just make sure you mind any 'No Parking' signs and don't park in other business' driveways. Oh, make sure you're not in front of any hydrants, either. Orlando Brewing really is a great establishment. Good beer, volunteers for bartenders, nice and simple place to hang out. Not to mention, you support Florida's only certified brewery.

A good brewery isn't judged by the size of their tanks or by the number of reviews by an "In Crowd." It's judged by the quality of their product and the discussion it invokes. Will you like every beer here? Probably not. Will you find something you do like? Absolutely. Another solid Gem here in Orlando. Hidden, and way away from the snobby uptight types of Orlando. Thank God they can't find this place. This is how I want my micro brewery to be, and this is what I'm used to, having lived in Colorado. I know a lot of people want this place to go Big and compete nationally, but I don't. I think as it stands, is best; small, and local, with a very steady following. Bristol Brewing (Colorado Springs, CO) is a good example of a small brewery that limits itself to the state of Colorado in order to protect the quality of their beer. I think no bigger than the state of Florida for Orlando Brewing is just fine by me. I hear a lot of noise from people that have violent outbursts about how much they hate this place. They point to mainstream or trendy "micros" of examples of good beers, and say that the Orlando Brewery puts out swill. Frankly, I think the medals on the wall speak for themselves; better and more sophisticated palates than mine have judged this place worthy, and told me what I already knew about this place. Do I like everything on the Menu? Just about. My palate is pretty accepting of malted hoppy heaven. Yet I meet people that come here for only 2 of the beers, and swear by them, and will have a good natured discussion of the finer points of why they only like those, and not the others. Those are the people you will find here. People who honestly like beer, and not those that are self proclaimed "beer professionals." The bar volunteers are awesome. The owners? They can be grumpy, cantankerous old farts at times, but endearingly so. If you're nice to them, they'll be nice to you. Just don't be an ass. That's reserved for the brewmeister (who has his very own beer named after him: "Pompous Ass IPA.") The guys here are proud of their product, and they are truly involved in the process from start to finish. They put their heart, soul, and occasionally their piss n' vinegar in the product. And it shows. You will be hard pressed to find a group of men who take as much pride in their product or willing to make sure you have a good beer. Lastly, I close by saying the bands they get are fun, and are foot stompingly entertaining. Everything is clean, and well taken care of. You won't find a better place to relax, talk, and have a beer; much less do all three of those things with the very men who crafted that glass of heaven in your hand. P.S. Lastly (again) - My personal favorite is the Blackwater Porter. A gold medal all around, and honestly, one of the two best porters I have ever had. Period. It's reminiscent of a well poured Guinness, which actually is not heavy in the primary sip at all. (if you haven't had a proper Guinness in Ireland, head to Claddagh Cottage on Curry Ford, and see what you're missing) Full of flavor, not heavy or chewy, and surprisingly light.

Fun place. Who doesn't like home brewed beers. I've been here a number of times for Yelp events but haven't been able to try many of the beers because I'm usually working. I should see if their is a sampler next time. They don't have food, but often there is a food truck or hot dog cart outside. Smart.

Orlando Brewing's tasting room is a very laid-back atmosphere. The age range of the customers ranges significantly but everyone is in good spirits and relaxed. This is the kind of bar you can definitely lose a couple hours in without help from the alcohol. Speaking of the booze, the beer is quite good. The beers are all tasty and reasonably priced. Their Beer:30 event is an absolute bargain, so if you want to check this place out that would be a great time. Most of Orlando Brewing's offerings are easily drinkable with a clean finish. You won't find many "big" beers offered. But honestly, a local brewery should make beers that reflect their area. These beers are excellent for our hot & muggy climate. I know they've got a few 'big' beers up their sleeves, but in the summer I think I'll stick to the Blondes, Weiss, and other such refreshing beers. The service is always friendly and helpful. They know their product and show pride in it, which goes a long way.

I visited a few years ago with a group of friends and had a really good time. The atmosphere and the company were a lot of fun. The beer... not so much. I revisited again recently to try their Oktoberfest. It was very reminiscent of a yeasty sock. It might be the rocket fuel in the water supply, it might be the lack of care and quality control, but Orlando Brewery really needs to step up their game. Many businesses in town have stopped carrying their beer for this very reason. Organic or not, if it tastes like a jock strap, it isn't worth selling. Dump it and try again guys.

Love this place! You are encouraged to sample the beers before you make your ultimate decision, which is nice especially for the seasonal beers. The last time I was there i had the 6 sample beer flight, it about 3 beers, for $12 dollars. The bartenders are really knowledgeable about what they are serving and are helpful if you are having trouble deciding what you might like. Its low key and casual and I always have a good time. If you have not been out to Orlando Brewing yet you need to!

Organic beer, corn hole, and darts.. need I say more? I've been to Orlando Brewing a few times. The atmosphere and beer are consistently chilled. The bar and its staff are low key and seems to maintain a fairly small, but regular crowd. Although I don't have one now, I am a dog lover so I think its great that they are dog friendly! They are a bit off of the beaten path, but well worth the journey.

I've been a few times and I am now a solid fan. Good beer, good space, good people. The beer, as everyone has mentioned, is fantastic. Last time I was there, their Santa holiday beer was on tap and was a wonderful surprise. Their stout is also great. They do a lot of IPAs, but there is still plenty to enjoy if you like things a little less hoppy. They give daily tours, which is a great way to learn more about what you're drinking. Every time I've been, they has also been a band playing outside. The brewery doesn't serve food, but the food stand outside hits the spot. Best fish tacos around! Don't forget Beer:Thirty. 30th of the month. Bar gets crowded, but it's worth it for $2 beers.

Was in Orlando and stopped here this week. Was in an out of the way kind of spot which made it more fun to find. The beers are really good and Kat our bartender knew her stuff and also informed us about a few other Orlando places to try while we were in town. They had a great band playing outside and although we sat inside the sound was still great. Note: they do not serve food. They have some chips, etc so if you're hungry eat first because you will want to try all you can.

One of my favorite Orlando businesses. Certified organic. Plenty of tasty beers on tap in the taproom. No food served, but they've got a book of menus for nearby restaurants that deliver right to the taproom. Definitely take the free brewery tour when it's offered -- and don't forget to take a pint with you on the tour! They do growlers for takeout as well.

  • Calvin T.

Definitely a hidden gem. Hidden amongst a row of warehouses is one of my new favorite places to grab a beer. Orlando Brewing has some of the best organic brews you can find here in the city. I'm a fan of their Blond Ale, Red Ale, BVC IPA, and Oktoberfest. Since they don't actually serve food you can have meals delivered by nearby restaurants. Next time I go I plan on going taking the free tour of the place.

This is a neat place to hang out and have some local brew beer. The only thing that sucks is the parking! The parking is slim to none and its ridiculous on a busy night! Careful where you park, because cars have been towed before!!

I've been meaning to go here for months now, and finally I made it last night. What a surprise! I had heard/read the critique that the place lacked atmosphere...but I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised. Despite being located in a giant metal building with fluorescent lights, it doesn't FEEL like you are. They've done an excellent job creating mood lighting and warmth in a space that could be really bare (the photos here on Yelp are a good "before" shot...the place is much better now). The outside seating area is simple but comfortable--a great option if the live music is loud and you want to chat. As for the beers--my god, $2 pints?!? Holy holy. Like Annette, I also had the Miami Weiss which I was a big fan of, and ordered a second. Some of the Pilsners I tried were good too, but I was not a huge fan of the Brown Ale. I agree with other reviewers in that this place is a fab, off-the-beaten path place in Orlando that is worthy of your patronage, but there is still room for improvement. Keep up the awesome trajectory!

Great local beer producer and bar. I went for a night out and several local bands playing. They had a nice outdoor tent set up with a hot dog vendor serving classy hot dogs. Overall great atmosphere, good beer and lots of laughs. If your a beer aficionado I would highly recommend checking out this Orlando local gem.

WOW!!!! What a fantastic place!!! It's off the beaten path and so worth taking the road less traveled! It's literally a brewing company that is sharing their yumminess with you! There's an awesome little bar and they also have an outside seating area that you can chill and drink and laugh and enjoy life, isn't that what we all want?!?!!? they also have corn hole!!! yay!!! They don't serve food but they do have menus to surrounding restaurants that will deliver there. I think that's pretty awesome! I'm not a beer drinker but I did actually enjoy their beers. They are patient too...they will keep trying til you find the one or two or seven that fit you :) Also, all the people that work there are amazing! super friendly, totally nice and very genuine group. I can't wait to take my friends that haven't been cause I know they will totally enjoy it! So yeah, GO THERE NOW!!! :)

Just can't beat $2.00 beers! I've been to Orlando Brewing several times with friends, usually to enjoy their Beer:30 monthly events when all their beers are just $2.00 Sometimes I feel like their beers are hit or miss but I enjoy the Red Ale and usually stick with that. There's often live music and the place is usually packed with people grabbing a pint right after work. There's usually a pretty good variety of people at Orlando brewing.

Orlando Brewing! I was first introduced to this place by a friend and I must say that this is definitely a hidden gem within the City Beautiful! I can't believe that we actually have a brewery here locally that produces some very solid tasty brewskis! I've visited this place quite a bit and have been very satisfied every time. Aside from the limited activites to do here I would suggest you bring a deck of cards or even a board game with your buddies for some awesome time. They do provide corn hole and darts for those who are interested in that. On certain nights there will be live music and some food vendors for those with the munchies! This is definitely a place locals must visit!

Among the warehouse district south of downtown lies the Orlando Brewing Company. This (somewhat) hidden gem is my favorite place to grab a beer and catch up with friends, hands down. The atmosphere is mellow and laid back. There is always an eclectic group of people without anyone who is overly drunk or looking to start a bar fight. The decor is unassuming... just the bar, a few tables and a back room with a dart board. There's also an outdoor area with picnic tables to enjoy our beautiful Florida evening weather. Best of all? It's squeaky clean (even the bathrooms)! Ah, the beer. My favorite is the porter, followed closely by the Blonde Ale depending on my mood. I'd try the sampler on your first visit so you can enjoy the full range of the beers. Go here. Do it. You won't regret it.

Dople IPA and Deadhead in the funky warehouse tasting room on a Tuesday night. They are dog friendly here and have live music that's actually good, and not some dude with a guitar singing the top hits of the whiny 90's. And they are organic, so you can feel a little better about getting toasted on a Tuesday;) They are also currently brewing an aged beer, which counts as barley wine because it's 20% alcohol. They only sell this by the bottle though. I will be back!

This place is so cool! First of all, let me say that if you are not a beer drinker, you probably won't enjoy this place. Plain and simple, this is a brewery and they serve really awesome BEER. We went on Friday, September 30th for "Beer 30," which is an event that they have on the 30th of every month. All of their beers (which are organic and brewed in the same place you're drinking it) are two dollars. What! That is awesome. I took full advantage of this, trying the Miami Weiss, the Olde Pelican, the Blackwater Porter, the Mountain Warrior Amber Ale, but my favorite was definitely the European Pilz. So good. The space has several different areas for congregating- the indoor bar area has some tables and a long bar- the bathrooms were clean and everything was looking good. But it was pretty crowded and very loud in there for the majority of the night, so we stayed outside a lot of the time. Outside the far back area was used for the stage, and there was a good live band playing. Then there's another area towards the front gate that has picnic tables, and there was a food truck set up. The place was full and everyone was having a really good time. Parking was a bit of a hassle, and we ended up settling for a spot that was quite a ways away. Inconvenient, maybe, but definitely worth it. You don't have to dress up to come to this place, and you don't have to worry about fighting off creeps all night. Laid back, friendly, inexpensive, super fun. Come here!

Very cool place... Been here a few times now. This past time was for a special event. The owner is super cool and super chill. He took the time to explain his motivation for creating the brewery and the different beers. His shared his passion for having the only certified organic brewery in the southeast. All in all, the brewery typically has like 18 to 20 beers on tap per night. As of last night, Orlando Brewing Company just released a new IPA. I was able to sample it, was very good. I do like this place.

Like many have already said, Orlando brewing company delivers some tasty brewskies. There is alot more artwork on the wall since I last came in, which helps warm the place up a bit. It's a warehouse with a bar.... but the beer is as fresh as you're going to get it. My bf tasted more barley than say.. hopps or malt, in most of the beers. I didn't notice, but his observation was worth noting! I like the Miami Weiss (it's more of a light wheat beer than traditional heavy heifeweissen), the blond ale, double bock and the unfiltered maibock was a real treat! Definitely worth the trip, like most things that are 'off the beaten path'.

Certified organic, tasting room atmosphere was laid back and the tour was nothing like any other brewery tour. This is a certified organic brewery, but not in a hippy/tastes-like-dirt kind of way. The brewers at Orlando Brewing are very focused on sustainability; not only for the process of brewing itself but how it impacts the community around them. For example, they don't throw out any spent grain, it is picked up by a local chicken farmer to be used in feed. I love that the high level of care has spilled over from the brewing process into other aspects of their business. Samples (tasters) flow freely and you can decide on what you like before you jump in for a whole pint. Or you can order a flight of 4oz tastes to really appreciate a variety of their offerings. I really appreciated the knowledge of the bar staff and the willingness to please my tastes. Nice people, good beer, and a unique operation. It's worth a visit.

Ya know, I really like this place!!! We were directed to Orlando brewing after drinking their beer at the bar at the plaza cinema cafe a year ago or so. After we found it we try to stop by as much as we can. I like the atmosphere, I like finding gems in in what seems to be out of the way places. It is clean inside, and the live bands are really good outside. I really liked the blonde and the Miami Wiess, but again those are the beers I gravitate towards anyways. I agree,... try the sampler the first time. Definately a place to go and search out!!

This is one of my favorite places to grab a drink in Orlando. "Why?" you ask. How many bars do you frequent that brew organic beer in a warehouse directly behind the bar? None? That's what I thought. The beers here are good; ridiculously good. There is everything from their Miami Weiss which may be the lightest they have, all the way to a traditional barleywine that willl make you forget that you are in a warehouse district of Orlando. On some nights you will find a selection of live local and regional music that seldom disappoint. There are very few gestures made toward atmosphere, frills, or anything else. And that's just fine with me. In fact, I prefer it because this place is about beer - some of the best I've ever had.

After our recent visit to Asheville, NC and an introduction to "craft beers" (the term used to describe beers created in microbreweries, we learned), my husband and I have been trying out lots of different beers in this tasty category, from our liquor stores here in Orlando. (There are many, to be sure!) But buying local is what I'm all about, so imagine how excited I was to find that we have our own local brewery right in our backyard! During my first visit to Dandelion Communitea Cafe (awesome!) last week, I noticed the Orlando Brewing bottles behind the counter. Turns out, Orlando Brewing is not only local, but they are certified "Organic," an important feature for many of us! Fastforward to Sat evening, when hubby and I headed over to take Orlando Brewing's nightly tour (6 pm, every day, but Sunday). Located in an industrial area behind ORMC and the Amtrak train station, the brewery is neither pretty nor lavish. Why would it need to be? It's a working brewery, producing a fantastic product! Kinda reminded me of a VFW hall, actually. It 's a bar in the "front of the house," (which we were surprised to find), decorated simply and nonsmoking in the main area (a HUGE plus for this reviewer!!!), with the working brewery "through the doors" (back of the house, as they say). With many beers to try, we chose the sampler, which turned out to be a big hit the night we were there: 12 beers to try for $12.00. You're asked to fill out a survey along w/ those beers, and the brewers appreciate your feedback. We found the Red Ale to be our favorite. Parking is very limited, with a few spots inside the chainlink fence, but most on the street. Oh, and beware: the parking lot floods (really floods!..hence the 4 stars), as we found out on our way out - hubby's shoes are still drying out! Water was above our ankles after a horrendous thunderstorm! (I wore the requisite flip-flops, so no big deal to me...very casual place!) Good to know: the barstaff are volunteers, so tip them well! They are also friendly and efficient... very down to earth. :o) If you stop in, please tell Gene that Robin sent you. He's not only the Director of Quality & Training, but was our "official tour guide" on this visit. Thanks, Gene! (And be sure to ask about those handprints if the tour goes into the giant cooler!! LOL) Definitely worth a visit -- for the tour, the casual/friendly atmosphere, the awesome beer, lots of entertainment many nights, and to support our local businesses! Oh, and if you like their beer (which I'm sure you will), ask your local fave restaurants to carry it... doesn't get any fresher!

Nice place. Pompous Ass IPA was the bomb! Miami Weiss and Doble IPA come next. Didn't care for the stouts or porters. Too sweet. Had a flight sampler.

Love the beer at Orlando Brewing- the atmosphere is a bit odd- but the place draws a nice happy hour crowd. I am a big fan of their red and brown ales, although I've yet to try something there I didn't like. Definitely take the free tour- interesting to hear about the organic brewing process. I would definitely recommend as a cheap activity!

I'm happy to give this place 5 stars for the quality of the beer alone. Last night I popped a bottle of the Anisocoria Barleywine and it was sex in a bottle. Perfectly balanced for it's style, heavenly tasty and fresh. Though pricey, I would recommend this for any barleywine aficionado. Yeah okay, the setting isn't all that comforting. There aren't any ferns or hardwood or couches or much in terms of luxury in the little brewpub they have at OBC but that's not why you are there. You are there to appreciate the craft of microbrewing. I tasted a few of the brews and they seem to be true to their styles. In fact, I was happy to engage a "certified beer judge" sitting next to me. I asked him if the brews here at OBC were typical and characteristic of the advertised styles. He informed me that, in his experience, the brewmasters were traditional. To me, that's important. If I order a pale ale, I expect a traditional pale ale, not the brewmasters' interpretation of what a pale ale should be. In addition to the Anisocoria, I must also give a heads up on the porter I had that was wonderfully creamy and full-bodied. Just what I would expect from a porter. The beer-judge guy favored the seasonal maibock. My palate prefers a more complex brew and I have always thought lagers to be thin and uninspiring. Though the maibock may be good, I didn't find it to be particularly worthwhile but that is just my personal preference. Sort of like asking a vegetarian how they like their steak!

The certified organic brewery title intrigued me enough to seek out the location, but the people will be the reason for my return. Oh yeah, the delicious hand craft organic brew is amazing as well! This place is not at all what I expected. Driving in the industrial park looking for the spot was a little intimidating, and the inside of this joint matched its surroundings. Spartan, simple and well... old. It reminded me of an "Elk's Lodge" type of setting, but with really friendly, knowledgeable and amazing people both employees and patrons. Due to the chilly evening, everyone was inside jamming to the live band that brought great energy to the full room. It felt more like a wedding reception with the dancing and idle chit chat with strangers than a bar. The bartender was sweet, very well informed of the brews on tap, and quick to refill your glass. Grab a flight of their beer to explore their wide range of beverages, and discover which brew you enjoy. I cant wait for the sun again so we can hand outside by the old school-bus and play a little game of corn hole.

This is some quality beer brewed right on the property. The tap room is low key with a dart room in the back and an outdoor patio to enjoy music or conversation on. They also have board games to play while enjoying a brew. The bathrooms are always as clean as can be and the beer maids are all easy on the eyes! The beer selection has grown over the years into quite a catalog of quality beer. They also have wine for those who like that stuff. I am a fan of hoppy beer, so I prefer the IPA, especially the non filtered IPA when it's available. They have a style of beer that fits everyone's enjoyment.

  • Joseph M.

The biggest plus here is the number of beers they have available, many more than other local breweries. The downside is that none of them are really outstanding. Having said that, you can find something decent for every taste. The atmosphere is pretty good but often crowded and loud which can certainly have an effect on the quality of service you will get under those circumstances.

The people here are among the nicest I've met in Orlando and the beer is some of the best I've had! Come in for "Try This Tuesday" or "Beer:30" on the 30th of the month! And for the love of everything holy, if they have Papa Midnite on tap, get it!!!! Sublime! And as an added bonus, they're one of only 11 100% Organic Breweries in the U.S.!

After sampling their IPA at an event, I knew I had to try more of their beers after reading a few reviews. Upon arriving we noticed that this place is definitely a bro/hipster kinda place and Bry and I were dressed very formal so Bry untucked his shirt and I took my brooch from my hair- tada; instahipster! Coolness ensued. Orlando Brewing is one of the only organic beer breweries in the state of Florida and I loved that the same lady at the event was a bartender here. It was very cool to see. Upon entry we noticed a gigantic American flag and a band, the menu is very vast and includes a wide variety of organic beers as well as wine and some ciders. I originally wanted to try the Girl Stout which I read was delicious- as it is a seasonal ale, they didn't have it yet, so I choose the Pumpkin Ale and Bry had the Red. We both loved the Pumpkin, one of the most pronounced pumpkin tasting beers I've ever had and truly made me feel like fall in Florida. We also tried Lindemans Framboise which was my absolute favorite. Now this Framboise is served in a pretty glass- but don't be fooled, it's elegant raspberry flavor has a clean and sparkling finish. Which Bry agreed was his favorite as well. Orlando Brewing also has lots of art from local artist on display which can be purchased for a pretty penny but very well worth it. There was also a little pooch in our midst, so they are pet friendly and the outdoor seating was great as well. I love Orlando Brewing, it was one of the most relaxed beer experiences I've had at a beer establishment and we'll definitely be back for the Grapefruit, Girl Stout and a beer tour which we heard was great. A definite Orlando Gem and a must try. So, get out there and have a taste!

I read a few different reviews of Orlando Brewing so decided to stop by while on vacation in Orlando. It took a while to find -- it's in an industrial area and you feel like you probably made a wrong turn somewhere. The parking lot was full, so I ran inside to find out where the overflow parking is, and we ended up parking in the grass on the side of the street. Once inside, we split a flight, which included the summer lager, Miami Weiss hefe, pumpkin, and one other I can't remember. They were all pretty hoppy, except for the pumpkin which had almost no carbonation at all. While I was not impressed with any of the beers we tried, I know a bunch of people who love hoppy beer and would have been very happy with the selections. Our bartender was friendly and chatted with us for a while, but the owner (?) didn't talk to us until we were literally walking out the door. I like their merch (growlers, shirts, DIY 6-packs, "Liquid Bread" bags) and the prices were decent. I wish they had a beer that more up my alley!

Today the had "Yappy Hour" which is where you bring your dog's and receive a dollar off your beer. What is awesome about it is that you can bring them inside the tap room! No sitting outside in the heat..they do need to kick the air on a little colder. I have never been to a place where they allow pets inside--so total cool points for them! All of their brews are organic and really good price for organic beer. Exactly the same prices you would pay anywhere else for craft beers. They also had some live music filled with different string instruments..nice background music and it wasn't too loud. Very awesome addition Definitely coming back for the tour and for a cool new hang out!

I first visited OB about five years ago and was not impressed with the beers I had. Five years later I found that I enjoyed the majority of the beers I tried in a recent visit. Maybe they have improved or maybe I understand beer more now. Either way, this is a nice brewery in Orlando. Don't be nervous about the side street you head down to find it. Once inside you'll be surprised at how comfortable it is. They had a large selection of IPAs, all of which were solid, and their seasonal pumpkin was on and was also very good. A lot of tap choices, including a few guest taps. Food trucks and live music on certain nights too. This brewery definitely earns repeat trips with the friendly staff and tasty beer.

One of the best microbrew tours I have done. Gene did the tour and he's smart funny and passionate about beers. Mariah is a great bartender. Orlando is one of eleven organic breweries and they make some excellent beers. They tend to fall towards the hoppy but there's variety for everyone. They will be celebrating their ten year anniversary next April. Well worth the drive and plan to spend some time enjoying beers and their tour (6p most days). Tastes are free; then get a pint of your favorite. There are snacks and they even have a local pizza place deliver. Highly recommended.

This is one of my favorite places in the city. Before breweries started popping up everywhere, Orlando Brewing was already doing their thing. They offer a wide variety of beer choices and blends. Those smiling faces serving your beer are volunteers, but most have other jobs within the brewery as well. Beer 30 is my favorite day there. On the 30th of every month, they offer $2 off all OB beers. A delicious organic beer for $3-4.50? It really can't be beat!

Orlando Brewing is a small brewery (15 employees) located in an industrial part of Orlando. They offer a wide variety of organic brews as well as a free tour of their brewery. They are one of only 11 organic breweries in the country, and the only one located in the southeast. Before the tour I tried their Chocolate Mint Girl Stout and it was delicious. You can definitely taste the hint of mint chocolate in the beer. My tour was led by Gene who was extremely informative about the brewing process, what makes their beers organic, and how a lot of the unused ingredients are not thrown out, but given to local farmers for various uses. After the tour my group tried one of their four beer flights. All of the beers were great and I loved that they put a tag under each taste with the name of the beer so you always know which one you are drinking (instead of having to remember the order they are in). There isn't a ton of parking but I was informed you can park on the street on the brewery side or across the street in the grass. There were also several people with their dogs so I assume they are dog friendly. They sell Chex mix and kettle chips but I don't believe they have any other snacks. If you are looking for some great beer and have an interest in learning about how organic beers are made I would definitely recommend stopping in to Orlando Brewing!

Large selection of organic, craft beer. The area is sketch and yes a crackhead approached us as we got out of the car but don't let that deter you. Once you walk in you are home or on the set of shameless. Come to think of it the outside looks like Shameless too. Here is our run down... Blonde - both liked. Drinkable all day. Red - yes!!! My fave. Pale - good. Not overly hoppy. O-town brown - just ok. Olde pelican- both disliked. Black water - ok but get the girl stout. Eminent domain - winner! I-4 - nope. Steamee Summer - I liked he hated. Miami Weiss - could drink all day. Hard Calibler - I disliked he liked. Grand o'hoppert - skip it Magic pils - not my style but not bad Girl stout - yes. Omg yes. Yes.

We went on a Friday night and a large drum circle was taking place. Lots of hula hooping and devil sticks flying through the air. Great vibe! The tasting room has a homey feeling to it. Almost as if you sitting in someone's finished basement. The beers themselves are vertified usda organic. I had the hopgasmic and the special 1000 batch of grand o'hoppry. Both were nicley done. Service was great and they offer flights and samples. Its off the beaten path so it felt like more of a local spot. So if you're on vacation and want a little get away from I-drive definitely hit this place up!

I first discovered this place shortly after they were established. I'll be honest, if you have any knowledge of how beer is made, or have been to another brew tour, you won't learn much from the tour here. However, that being said, don't let it deter you from checking this place out. The beer here is amazing, and the people that work here are extremely nice. All the beers are great, but my favorite is definitely the Blackwater Dry Porter

I have visited this brewery a few times over the years but have been hesitant to put my stamp of approval on it since they aren't my favorite local beer place. Upon my last few visits I have been warming up to Orlando Brewing. Their beers have matured over the years. You can now find choices for every palate. I like the seasonal selection. Many of their beers are easy to drink for even the not so advanced beer palate Their I-4 IPA is my go to beer now at Disney's Wild World of Sports. The tasting room is always warm and welcoming upon every visit. And did I mention they are organic?? I like you Orlando Brewing and proud to have you in the community.

I was really excited to finally be able to stop by our very own Orlando brewery. As everybody else's pointed out, it is really hidden and even with our GPS on, we had to drive really slow to make sure we didn't pass it. I don't know if I'm a bit spoiled with the kind of breweries I've been to, but the Orlando brewing tap room had more of a dive bar feel and less about the awesomeness of beer making. Nothing inside of the place screamed that I was inside a brewery. I didn't pay much attention to it and tried to keep an open mind. I sat down at the end of the bar top and looked at the variety. They do have a big list of different types of beer. The were out of the ones I wanted to try so I opted for the seasonal IPA. My wife got the Hefeweizen. The beer was... good; I think I wouldn't necessarily order the same next time because I had better IPAs but the Hefeweizen was good. We tried to wait for the tour that starts at 6pm but nobody was there and the mood was a little gloomy so we just had that one beer and promised to come back for the tour and on a busier day.

Went here to participate in an event they had as a vendor with my son (they are kid & pet friendly). Everyone we met was really friendly and we stayed to take the tour they have. It was really interesting and it was great to know that they believe so highly in their beer which is Organic (they are 1 of only 11 here in the US). It was also very educational not only for myself, but also for my son. I cant wait to go back with my boyfriend and actually try some of the different beers they have!

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. Orlando Brewing just feels like home. I went there in college, and watching it grow has been really fun. This place is so chill and they do everything well - from their service to their beer to the free (yes free!) tours they offer. This is honestly one of my favorite breweries, and one of my favorite places in this city. Orlando Brewing brews organic beer usually sourced by local ingredients. They work with local shops for cool events like a Valentine's Day beer and chocolate pairing, they support local ventures like Orlando City Soccer and drum circles, and above all, they offer good, solid beer. A personal favorite of mine is Rosie the Riveter, a red ale with rose hips and lavender. YUM. They also have a new stout brewed with coconut and almonds, and if you're a stout fan, it's a MUST TRY. I also always enjoy trying the Babe's Brew beers, which are beers created and brewed by OB's own ladies. The variety of beers OB offers is excellent, and so is the atmosphere. Whether you stop by just to sip on something or to cheer on Orlando City (and, ahem, get 2$ off OB brews), OB is just the perfect little brewery with an incredible staff. Pro Tip: The servers volunteer their hours and work for tips. So treat them well. They certainly do all they can to make us happy! :)

Visited this place on my first trip to Orlando last week. After walking my legs off at Disney and Universal I wanted to have a relaxing day to do less touristy things and being the beer lover I am choose this place based off Yelp reviews. Yet again Yelp led me to a real gem. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgable, have no problem allowing you taste the beer before you buy. Went on the brewery tour and learned A LOT. It is very knowledge intensive but if you are a beer lover it will totally be worth it. Tried a number of beers and their seasonal grapefruit pale ale was my favorite. The other patrons were friendly as well and we were even given some homemade birthday cake by some folks there celebrating a birthday. A really chill and fun place to spend an afternoon.

Yes, the location is a bit sketch. But, this brewery is a little hidden gem. The beer is good and everyone who works here is so nice! There isn't any food (so we brought over Five Guys). Definitely come check this place out!

Quick Summary: 3.5 truly, the place has a good dive bar vibe and the service is really friendly. The main line beers are on the light side for my tastes, but they have limited and seasonals that are more full bodied and much to my palate. This 'organic' brewery is not far from the heart of downtown Orlando, and is a nice break from the tourist feel of the rest of the area. Any beer fans will feel comfortable and welcome in the joint. As I mentioned it has a divey feel to it, but there's plenty of space for everybody and some seats outside as well. The service is very friendly. I came in alone on some beer scouting, and the bartender kept up a good conversation. She was also very knowledgeable about the craft community and gave some nice recommendations. As for the beers, they were lighter in flavor; I'm used to more full bodied beers. Most of their regular beers started with light taste then followed with the flavors I was used to. My favorite of the bunch though was The Senator, their new Imperial Stout, a limited release so make sure you get in there and grab some! Excellent full bodied flavor, the toasted malts came out very nicely... All in all a good stop in Orlando. I like the organic concept. Oh and I noticed on Sundays dog are allowed! Great outing for the whole family :) I do hope to find more beers like their Senator next time! If you're looking for a review of the individual beers look me up on Untappd (SpecialQ).

Awesome low key brewery. Local beer, cute bar tenders and good music (from time to time). Get a tour of the facility from the friendly staff. Seriously get your beer on!

Great place! the beer is delicious and they have so many more options then you'd expect. I know they have samplers, but I tend to ask the bartenders they are friendly and very knowledgeable. the beer is obviously craft so it's craft prices, but the Olde Pelican is probably the best beer I've had in years.

We've been here a number of times, but lately we've been coming back more often than usual. It's a great place on so many levels. A good selection of beers to try, friendly employees, live music, indoor and outdoor (shaded) seating, a light-hearted atmosphere that's conducive to meeting new people, and best of all it's dog friendly!

Awesome brewery tours! LOVE that their so pet friendly! And the fact that their beers are organic! Their Halloween bashes are always fun. The flights are an awesome way to sample multiples of their selection! I think they have a food truck outside of their establishments from time to time, not sure if it's permanently there or just for events.

The place has character. Live music on Fridays. It has a big bar and lounge area. No food but the beer on tap is really great. I would rate it a 5 but I've been to better breweries in the west (particularly Denver). For those who like a hoppy beer. I suggest the Grand O Hopry Double. It has a balanced taste you don't find in most imperial IPA's. They also sell kegs which is unlike most places I've been to.

615pm brewery tour with hoppy hr mon-fri till 6pm $1 off. Usda organic brewed here. Event and deal daily. Awesome service. Can sample beer. Small parking- can park on the side of the street. Had their hard caliber imperial stout and grand hoppery double for $5-6. This was when I discovered that I prefer the stout beer. The tour was very extensive and a bit lengthy. Not much to see but you will definitely learn about beer-making if you attend and listen up. There is only 11-12 organic brewery in the states!

I went here for Bite30 which was a blast, but it's probably the only time I would go out here. They brew their beers in house and they are not up to par with the local craft beers I'm used to. Different styles tasted pretty similar and the red was very light and watery. I did enjoy the Eminent Domain Scottish Ale and the Olde Pelican EPA. Since these all end up about $2 on beer thirty it's still a great deal! The bar is in a large warehouse that you can hang out in or sit under cover at one of the many picnic tables. Our group opted for the latter as they also had a local folksy band playing and we were closer to the food truck!! The line at the bar got pretty long during this event but they had a lot of staff working and seemed to handle the rush well.

I am a sucker for anything made on-site. Took the brewery tour. Had some food delivered. Beers are stacked (like everywhere else in 'Mericuh2014) toward hoppy IPA kinda' brews ... so it goes. Highly recommended.

One of Orlando's MANY treasures. True, I can count on one hand how many times I've visited this brewery, but after trying their Blackwater Dry porter mixed w/ Framboise- WOW!! Their beer selection is nothing short of impressive. They had MANY different styles to choose from when I was there- wish I had taken a pic of the menu board. Oh well next time. I will be back as I'm now a member of The Ruckus- a local supporter group for Orlando City Soccer

Organic beer brewed in an industrial part of Orlando and free brewery tours... whats not to love? The building is casual and industrial looking, even inside. There is an outdoor covered area with a great view of cement. The bartender was friendly and poured us a flight of their house brewed beers. I liked all of them except one (I forget the name but it has an old man on the label) which both my sister and I thought tasted like an ash tray. Not an endorsement for that brew but we like the rest! The red was one of my favorites. We got there a little late so had to chug our flight to finish it then got another beer to go for the tour. (Make sure you bring a beer with you on the tour.) The tour itself was informative but pretty ho hum. That's why you should have a beer for it. You walk outside and into a room next door where the brewing equipment is located. You stand in on place for a while and listen then move around the corner and listen again. We didn't see anything actually doing anything (wouldn't it be steaming, smelling, or something??) and there was really nothing interactive. I've been on brewery and distillery tours where you see more of the actual process. Still, these guys obviously have a passion for what they do and are leading the charge to change some of the laws limited micro-brews like themselves. Tours are free but space is limited so make sure you are there in enough time to grab a ticket.

Orlando Brewing really doesn't get enough local support considering how great their beer is and the variety of beers they make. Sure you can find a few go to brews here and there but the last time we visited i honestly had a really hard time narrowing down which beers to order. They do offer flights so if it's your first visit i recommend doing a flight so you can try a range without being completely wasted. No food here so if theres not a food truck or some other sort of food event going on then don't show up on an empty stomach especially since theres not a food joint in walking distance. During our visit they had a Girl Scout Thin Mint Stout- if you are a stout fan then you MUST try it (assuming its still available). I really do not like mint flavored drinks/foods with the exception of maybe a peppermint mocha during Christmastime but this stout has just a ever so slight hint of mint that makes you notice its there but i didn't feel like I was drinking a beer/mouthwash cocktail. The bartender said this was the first of a lineup of brews coming that are created by the ladies that work at the brewery so i imagine they will have many changing selections but seriously I feel like I'm getting sad just typing about this beer when i don't have one in my hand at the same time. Great local spot, a must-try if you are in the area even if just on vacation too!

Craft beer lovers unite! Orlando Brewing is Florida's only certified organic brewery and it's a must-visit for anyone who wants to experience a smaller brewery. I've been to the Sam Adam's Brewery in Boston and Orlando Brewing a completely unique experience. Came here last weekend and had a fun date night. Since it was the weekend before Christmas, things were a little slow, especially since we arrived around 5:30 pm; but they definitely picked up as the night went on. Brewery Tours start around 6 pm, so while waiting, we checked out one of their flights, which included eight samples of their beer from lightest to darkest. I really loved their blonde ale and their Oktoberfest. They're served in un-chilled glasses so you can definitely get the full flavor of the beer -- rather than having the cold numb the undertones. They had a different freshness about them and it was great! The tour was really informative -- it lasted roughly 45 to 50 minutes long, but you definitely got a feel for this small brewery. We learned all about the process of their beer-making and our tour guide was friendly the entire night. Fun tip: They're always looking for volunteers to help around the place, and -- best of all -- they'll pay you in beer! ;) They also only hire from within, so if working in a brewery is your dream-gig, definitely volunteer here and work your way up. We had to leave a little after the tour ended for our dinner reservations, but I wish I could've stayed to check out their live music. Oh well, another time! P.S. Parking is a nightmare if you don't get their early enough. I side with the other reviewers when I say be careful where you park.

Orlando Brewing is hidden away in an industrial section of Orlando, just south of downtown. Like its neighboring businesses, it's in a warehouse type structure. They have a parking lot, but when they have big events, you have to park on the grass in front of the other businesses. Just make sure it's not in front of a no parking sign. I've also been told not to park on the street or you can get towed for blocking emergency vehicles. I've been to Orlando Brewery on group cycling rides and for events, such as Oktoberfest and a Green fest. They use organic ingredients and they also started milling their own flour from left over parts of their grains to reduce waste. You can find many different styles of beer and seasonal offerings. They even have selections from other brewers, which I think is cool to be friendly and showing respect with your competition. Check their website for free tours and events they have about every week. They don't serve food inside, but outside they will sometimes grill food for events, or have a food truck available. People even bring their dogs and you can watch them playing in front of the bar. Lastly, their staff is generally friendly and knowledgeable, and really seem to enjoy working there.

Love this place! Been going here for years- beer is tasty, full and made there on site with all organic ingredients! The bar is family friendly, kid friendly, has fantastic outdoor picnic tables, dog friendly some days and often has local art shows and fun events going on. The bar tenders are friendly and care about the brewery. Recommend as a great hidden place to try and then visit again!

Great beer, informative tour! My husband and I partook in the FREE tour of the Organic Brewing company. The owner gave the tour himself. It was very interesting, and informative. . I'm not huge on beer (shocker), but we tried the Flight. There was a lot of variety and my husband liked most of them. Now, whenever we see beer from the OBC in local restaurants and bars (and even at Disney's Food and Wine Festival), he gets that! I would definitely recommend the tour to other adults. It is not really a plave to bring your children/babies as it is in a warehouse and you wait in a bar area for the tour to begin .

As a craft beer lover, I am very surprised how long it took me to visit this place! My husband and I stopped in during their Oktoberfest and had a great time. The brewery itself is a little difficult to find. The brewery is in a very industrial area and feels like you are walking up to a factory. Since we came during an event, the place was very very busy. They had several picnic tables set up outside, a band playing, and a corn-hole game or two going on. They also had a food truck set up outside to grab some food if you were hungry. I don't think this is offered all the time, but I did hear they occasionally have one there. It was way too out to sit outside, so we got lucky and grabbed the last two seats at the bar. While at the bar, I was able to try their brown ale, their Oktoberfest, and a pumpkin beer. The beers were all good, but I don't think any of them stood out as amazing. It was nice that they also had some guest taps. My husband isn't a big beer drinker and manged to find his favorite cider. They have a small area in the back set up to play darts. The real darts where you have to keep score on a chalkboard. We played two games while enjoying our drinks. My only complaints were that it was very hot inside. I don't know if it was because it was full of people, or if they are having air conditioner problems, but whatever the problem was made a lot of people uncomfortable. Also, the specific beers prices aren't listed on the board. It is just gives a range of prices. The first bartender we ordered from gave us the beers at one price and the second bartender a different higher price. We ordered the same beers and it wasn't during happy hour, so I am not sure if they just sell it at whatever price they want or what. I am looking forward to go back to do a brewery tour and sample more beers in the future!

I was willing to overlook the sketchy neighborhood, unfinished basement atmosphere, the lack of any food, or even ice water in lieu of a stack of plastic cups on top of the drinking fountain to try some really good micro brewed beer. Unfortunately the beer was not only bad, it was improperly refrigerated, no longer carbonated, and the beers on the lower end of the ABV scale had turned. With the possible exception of the double IPA offering (perhaps because of it's higher alcohol content helping it to survive the improper pressure and refrigeration) this could be the worst craft beer I have tried.

Orlando Brewing is located off of Atlanta Ave, a few blocks up from Kaley Ave, just south of downtown Orlando. This area is very industrial and if you arrive early enough you can hit my favorite feed store a few steps down for some great dog food, treats and toys. I will next time! :) The large Orlando Brewing building houses the brewing operation and has an indoor taproom and an adjacent outside covered area with picnic tables. I arrived at 5:45 to a full parking lot and all of the seats at the bar full. Plenty of tables were available, I was greeted by Crystal, the friendly bartender. Tuesdays means, $2 Orlando brew beers off the taps for ladies. I picked the Red Ale and settled in for a nice evening. Their large brew menu had a nice selection of craft beers on tap, in bottles along with some ciders. As our group arrived, beers were ordered and we decided to take advantage of the available menu binder, which has the local food places that will deliver to Orlando Brewing since food isn't served. Our group ended up ordering Brick and Fire pizza, which delivered quickly. (Tasty pizza, nice apps and salads.) Our group stayed for the Beer and Chocolate tasting- 4oz pours of 4 different Orlando Brewing beers, paired with a chocolate from Ferris and Fosters for $10. The beers were described, as was the chocolate and we were off to enjoy our goodies. This was a fun, interactive event for a group like ours. We sampled through the beers making suggestions for other pairings and talked about our favorite points of the various beers. Our table of lady beer enthusiasts would have enjoyed some more info/education on the beers, but it was a great event for beer drinkers of all levels. This event offered a nice introduction to beers offered at Orlando Brewing; at our tasting the Red Ale, Brown Ale, Blackwater Dry Porter and Eagle Stout were served. Though the event time was listed as 7PM, there were people who came in well after 7PM that were able to enjoy the Beer and Chocolate parings. Great place, great people and nice laid back atmosphere. There are special events regularly, so grab a printed calendar by the door or check their website or Facebook page, which is updated regularly. Brewery tours are available.

I came here a few weeks back for one of the free tours Orlando Brewing has Mon-Sat at 6pm. I didn't drink anything myself, but my friend tried the Blonde Ale and the Eminent Domain, and really liked both of them. The prices for their beers can't be beat - especially during happy hour ($3 or $4, I think?). The tour lasted about 45 minutes, and was different than a winery tour where they offer you different samples. Our tour guide recommended that we bring a drink along to enjoy while he talked to us about the whole brewing and packaging process. He was great and we learned a lot, and this is one of a very small number of USDA organic breweries in the country, which I thought was really neat! For anyone interested in learning about brewing beer or just looking for a unique way to spend an evening, I'd definitely recommend coming to Orlando Brewing. The location is a little off the beaten path, but is actually not too far from Church St. The tours are free, so you really can't go wrong, and the beers are cheap to boot!

Friendly staff. Gave us samples. Had a pretty large self brewed selection. And you can order food as have it delivered since there is no kitchen. I didn't find any beer that I was CRAZY about. But all if the beer was good enough to drink again. The 8 beer flight is worth the 14 dollars. Really cool chill atmosphere.

Weiss Weiss baby! Had to come back for opening night of the Miami Weiss kegs. My favourite spot for a beer in Orlando , low key, great selection of in house brewed organic beers and friendly bartenders. Cat is a legend behind the bar but they all will blow you away with their knowledge of beer. Be sure to come for the free tour at 6pm every day except Sunday. Don't miss the imperial stout - a true classic!

I enjoy a good craft beer and to get one that is organic is awesome in my book. I first heard about Orlando Brewing shortly after we moved to town. We went to grab some beers at a local spot and the waiter had suggested their Red Ale; I was hooked. That came to be my draft of choice if it were available. I had read that the brewery offers free tours Monday-Saturday at 6:00pm. I thought this would be a fun way to check out the Orlando Brewing. I enjoy learning about how stuff works and thought it would be pretty cool to see how this tasty beer is brewed. We showed up for Happy Hour grabbed a $3 pint and a tour ticket. We waited a bit for the tour start; it probably got going about 10 minutes after 6:00. I would say there were about 15 people that were in our tour group; which was a good size. The cool thing is the 45 minute tour is very informational, but informal. You can bring your glass of beer in to sip along the way. I enjoyed leaning a lot about the process of how they make their beer, what the difference is in their beer and some good tips along the way; your beer should not be ice cold and stay away from the frosty mugs. While there was a lot of action going on at the Brewery that night due to a clothing swap and food trucks we didn't stay long. I came back another night with CFL Lady Crafters to celebrate American Craft Beer Week. Orlando Brewery partnered up with Farris and Foster's for a chocolate and beer tasting; yum! The tasting was scheduled for seven, but our group came early and ordered some local pizza that was delivered to the Brewery. While Orlando Brewing does not serve food they do keep a binder with area restaurants that will deliver. If you happen to be there during other events you may luck out and find a local food truck out back. Our Lady Crafters enjoyed the chocolate and beer pairings. I never thought to combine the two! We had fun tasting and comparing favorites. The Brewery thought the pairings were such a hit that they are going to start offering them regularly. There's a lot going on at the Orlando Brewery; check out their website for daily specials and upcoming events. They even have a newsletter giving a heads up on their monthly events and specials. If you're a beer enthusiast you've probably paid the Orlando Brewery a visit. If you're new to town, craft beer or just visiting the city check them out. Belly up to the bar and enjoy an unfiltered beer and conversations. Cheers!

Orlando Brewing was ok but still probably my least favorite brewery of all the ones we visited on our Florida vacation. I can't really say anything too terrible so I gave them 3 stars which is average and appropriate for them. I guess the main thing was obviously the beer, it just wasn't anything spectacular. The brewery itself was also just a little blah, kinda dark and divey. Apparently all the beer is organic so I guess that is pretty cool.

A great place to grab a local brew. They always have lots of their beers on tap, and a few guest brews too, including a cider or two. Good prices, their standard blonde, red, and pale ales are $4 pints, or grab a menu for other beers. In addition to "hoppy hour" prices M-F until 6, they also do Beer:30 every month on the 30th (or 15th in Feb) with $2 off their beer pints all day.

This is a fun place to go to try some local brews. My wife and I each got the sampler which had 8 of their beers. Because of their decision to go purist you won't find the really exotic flavors you can get with additives but they do an excellent job with just barley, hops, yeast and water. My two favorites was the I4 ipa and the really dark one whose name I can't remember. We will surely stop by again the next time we are on that side of town.

Decent beer, very educational brewery tour (6pm). Order food from 3 ring binder of local places that deliver. Beer is all organic and it is pretty good. Maybe, just maybe, it would be better if they worroried more about it being better than it being organic.

I love beer. From lagers to ales, stouts to pilsners, I enjoy almost every type of beer out there. After spending some time in Boulder and North Carolina, I was starting to feel like I would never be able to find that local joint producing quality brews with the beer connoisseur in mind. Well, I just went to the Orlando Brewing Company, and I have to say I have died and gone to growler heaven. To start, we visited the brewery on a whim, not knowing it was their Octoberfest celebration. Despite the event, everyone was so friendly! And the beer selection was broad and surprising. As someone who loves India Pale Ales, there was no disappointing my palate. From imperial IPA's, to a nice English Ale style IPA, every beer I tried was on point. I plan on spending a lot of time in this tap room in the near future.

Good beer and great people. Industrial part of town does not add to the experience nor does the decor. I like the beer but it is not served cold. Cool is more like it. The bar area smells like dish water so take a table or go outside.

LOVED this brewery! It was down the street from a scrap yard in an industrial neighborhood North of the Orlando parks. There's a private lot to park in, outdoor and indoor seating, restrooms (important for beer drinking experiences), a great bartender, and of course excellent brews! Their selection was quite large and they are organic certified - so no preservatives. There are a few non-Orlando Brewing options as well but we got the large flight (8 beers) so we could try a variety of their beers. We were not disappointed and both of us agreed that the Red Ale was our favorite. We will return to Orlando Brewing on our next trip and will keep our eyes open in case any Orlando beers make it to our Ohio bars/stores.

These guys are fun fun fun! I went to their inaugural brewing class and it was not only highly informative...it was delicious. They guys are fantastic. They know their stuff. Although they don't sell food, they have a bunch of menus of places that deliver so you can have food brought in with you and they know how to pair their beer. I think I might bring food in with me and let them pick my beer. Check out their site for special events and specials they host...I know they have choir practice on Sundays...and special tastings every so often. I love these guys, they're a hoot!

Orlando Brewing is home to numerous types of organic craft beers, my favorites being the Miami Weiss, Red Ale, and Blonde Ale. They also have seasonal brews! If you're not a beer fan, they have a small assortment of wines and ciders to choose from. Playing DD for the night? Never fear, sodas are also available. Near the end of every month I do a small happy dance knowing that Beer:30 is in my near future. What is Beer:30, you ask? Well, it's like a holiday that comes once a month at Orlando Brewing! Some people may just see it as a day of $2 off organic drafts, but it's much more than that. It's a day to bring all your friends out to shoot some darts, grub on a local food truck, enjoy nice tunes, AND savor a great beer. What a day. Oh and every Sunday they have their Dog Day! People are welcome to bring their best canine friends in to share their Brewing experience. Great place!

Nice taproom, nice brewery, nice people, high quality product. I just find the flavor profile of their beers to be pretty bland. None of them are bad but at the same time nothing makes them stand out. I really really wanted to love their organic beers but they are just good, not great. The tour was interesting and I would recommend taking it.

First visit on Fathers Day with our two grown kids. I think I had higher expectations for this place, but I can understand my misconceptions based on some of the other commercial brewing/restaurant places around. The service is great. I was surprised how much nicer the inside was compared to the commercial area of Orlando this place is located at. If you like beer, then this is a good experience. No food, but you can bring your own. Sundays you can bring you dogs and sit outside and enjoy a beer and music. I believe they give you happy hour pricing when you bring a dog, hint hint. We did a sampler of 8 beers and it was fun. For the little while we spent there we enjoyed ourselves. Ii see us going back to buy some beer to have at home and next time taking the tour. Tours are Mon- Sat at 6pm, but call for details. In a nutshell, nothing fancy, but if you love beer, then its worth the visit.

What a great place to have located right in your backyard! Orlando's very own 'Orlando Brewery' is set to appease any craft beer lovers. It's wide variety of original brews (as well as a few other favorites) give the beer seeker's over 20 taps to choose from. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about there beers and are very welcoming to customers. One of the coolest parts about Orlando Brewing is the fact that all of the beers they create are USDA-certified Organic beer... and the beer itself is delicious. My two favorites would be the I-4 IPA which is a nice, strong flavored Indian pale ale, and the other would be the Olde Pelican which is a delicious English style Pale Ale. They have great specials all throughout the week as well as live music on Fridays and Saturdays (if I remember correctly). If you're not sure what to try, get one of the "flights" and they will serve you a wooden tray with 8 of there signature beers. Under each glass is a label of which beer you are sampling so that you can read more information about the beer on there menu. This is a great place to try some great tasting beers and support a local brewery at the same time. What more can I say? The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the location. I just wish it was in a more accessible area... But the location definitely adds to it's charm.

Looking for an escape from the normal bar or hangout spot? This is your spot. It is Florida's only certified organic brewery. The beer is brewed right on the premises, so it is as fresh as can be and there is a brewery tour so you can see the facilities (Monday - Saturday at 6PM). I must admit to, they are so clean! They always have more than a dozen of their beers on tap, have live entertainment throughout the month and offer free Wi-Fi, score! They have inside and outside seating and it is an extremely chill atmosphere. The owners are just so nice and caring for their community. Make sure to stop in and say hi to George if you have a min, such a great guy and so passionate about his brewery. Also, they have events like "Beer Thirty" at the Brewery when they sell their beers for $2.00 - draws a huge crowd!

Nice, clean, laid back brewery. Awesome Paradise Kolsh. Good Eminent Domain Scotch ale. Very few dark beers - as in 1 brown, 1 stout, 1 porter vs 9 pale ales. Also they were out of 5 beers.

Well priced beers for genuine craft, but not a fan of most their brews. The great thing about craft beers though is that the one I pour out, you may take to go! Events are cheeky fun...nothing amazing but fun change of pace. No frills bar. Staff friendly and they know their stuff. What else matters?

I've heard a lot about this place but never made it inside until recently. I've never been a huge fan of the Orlando Brewing beers I have had at other places before but their pumpkin beer is out right now and that is worth the trip in itself! Go, get pumpkined, be happy!

Here is a gem sitting in the middle of the industrial area of Orlando! I would have never had known it was there if it was not for anevent I was invited but it was great to find it. The staff and owners of OB are very friendly and I found the place to be clean and safe. They offer about 16 home brewed, organic beers on tap most nights. I am still a beer drinker in training so my pallet is still learning about the differences in beer. I do not like certain hoppy taste while others love it so I recommend trying different types until you find the ones you enjoy. I so far liked the Black Water brew... it had hints of coffee and chocolate and reminded me most of Guinness (which I love!). I look forward to coming here again and bringing some beer friends who will help me try many of the different brews!

I've stopped by Orlando Brewing two times now. The first time, I shared a sampler with my wife and was very impressed with the range of styles overall quality of their beers. Some were more my style than others, but none of them were bad. I had a pint of pale the second time, and it was just as good as the first impression. Their more popular beers are available at the brewery in six-packs to take home, so you are not limited to trying their beers at the brewery. My favorites so far are their pale ale variants and their red ale, which I have also seen on tap at Fiddler's Green in Winter Park. I have a feeling that this brewery will continue to improve over the coming years, and I am glad that we have them in the community!

When this first opened, I really enjoyed going in on a weekend afternoon after running any errands. To be able to belly up to the bar and have a beer that was brewed right there at the brewery was something special to me. And I had taken a liking to the Blonde Ale that Orlando Brewing produced. Nor was I disappointed with their Red Ale. After visiting Orlando Brewing a few times, however, I felt as if my business was not welcome there. There have been a few times where the bartender has been friendly, polite, and informative about the different ales available on tap. And then there have been times when the bartender simply asks what you would like, pours a glass from the tap, sets it down in front of you, and proceeds to go down to the other end of the bar and talks with a regular. The last time I visited Orlando Brewing was on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The staff was having a birthday party for the owner, and everyone was outside as someone cooked on the grill. Except for a bartender who had to work the taproom. She was polite and well informed about the beers on tap, and answered many questions I had about other ales and stouts that I have not tried. Several employees came in from time to time, and no one could take a moment to say "hello" or "Welcome to Orlando Brewing." I can understand if the place was full, but when you are the only customer sitting at the bar, it makes you feel as if your business is not wanted there. One employee who entered hung out at the bar and was only concerned about getting into the bartender's pants. Other employees came in and out as well. And no one could ask for my opinion on how my ale was. Or ask "how am I doing?" I do not know if it has something to do with the neighborhood or what? There are several other places around town that I can go to and feel welcomed. I will admit that I am glad to see a local brewery such as Orlando Brewing set up in Orlando. And as I stated earlier, they do a fine job of brewing. Especially their Blonde Ale. So if you live in the area near Orlando Brewing, or are out with friends for an evening, I would recommend going here.

Great people in a clean place serving fantastic, organic beer. We tried this place for the first time on Valentines day, as they were hosting a chocolate and beer pairing event. We took a very interesting tour of the brewing facility and enjoyed choosing from a large selection of craft beer. Building is in an industrial area but the inside is comfortable and very clean. Everyone was friendly. So glad we took the trip down. Try it!

Very laid-back venue! Dog friendly. Servers are volunteers who know and love the product. There was a Doble (not sure if it's technically an I2PA or an American Strong) that was particularly good, and there is even another IPA that was partigyle-brewed (second runnings from the Doble). Quite interesting and excellent brews, both of them, if you are a beer nerd! I also took home a mixed sixer. The Porter, English Pale ale, and Czech Pilsner were all excellent, true-to-style, and noteworthy. This brewer is fantastic; I will definitely stop in the next time I am in Orlando!

Absolutely LOVE OBC! Such a hidden Orlando Gem! We took the beer tour and it was such an eye opening experience! After the tour we got the flights which was a great way to experience all the beers we had just learned about. All in all, a great experience. We will definitely be back with a group!

Love this place! For some reason Florida has a shortage of delicious micro brews, so I was ecstatic to find this place. I could go on and on about the beers, but it's been said before. I'll just say that I have to have a keg for any party I'm preparing. Basically any reason will do. They always have something going on at the brewery. The staff is super nice. You should go and see for yourself.

What a great find! I was staying at one of Orlando's touristy resorts and couldn't stomach any more commercialism. Found this place and knew I had picked the right one when even the cab driver didn't know where it was. The setting is about as far away from everything Orlando you'd expect as a tourist - the middle of an industrial park right by the Amtrack station. Don't let that fool you though. The beer is absolutely amazing. I tried 4 different kinds and all were absolutely amazing. But they weren't even the highlight of the night. The highlight was definitely the AnisoCoria barley wine. At $20 for a regular size bottle of beer, it would seem pricey, but the flavor tells you that it's a bargain. I split it with 3 others I'd met there and the serving size for the intensity of flavor was perfect. Although these guys don't have food, they had an innovative approach to that too. They have a binder filled with mostly local menus, and you can order delivery from any of them right to your table. I had a pizza from Brick & Fire Pizza and Wine Company that was incredible. So if you're in Orlando and are feeling like it's a bit too small a world, go give this place a try! You won't regret it!

Orlando Brewing is in a building resembling a warehouse in a warehouse district located just outside of downtown Orlando. It is a far cry, and a welcome change, from the tourist traps abounding everywhere else. It's simple. A bar, several tables, a nice outdoor patio with a stage for live music, and probably the biggest cloth American flag I've ever seen indoors hanging on the wall. It's your local joint. It's awesome. They don't have a kitchen, but they provide a long list of menus from local places that will deliver. The pizza I ordered turned out pretty good. They have an awesome selection of beers, I believe it was somewhere around 16 of their own plus a great selection of never-before-seen-on-tap-big beers. Many of their brews are organic, but less than a quarter would I rate as very good to amazing. Of those few that obtained the amazing status was a dark IPA (my favorite, too bad it's not a regular), their Red and Porter. The IPA was very well balanced both in the various depths of hoppy goodness and malty characteristics. The Red was similar to a Scottish Ale without being overly sweet, and the porter was a bit thin, but still had a depth of character many are lacking. Overall, this place is well worth the trip for the beers alone. I also enjoyed the "rating" chart they passed out with the sampler, asking for opinions on each of their brews. Feedback is always important!

I was talking with a friend from Orlando and I remembered this place from a recent trip down. It's great, probably the best thing in its area (somewhat sketchy on Atlanta near the Amtrak station, and surrounded by businesses like metal recyclers). The Orlando Brewing Company has great beer, brewed on the premises. They have standard offerings, as well as some seasonal selections. If you come during the day they give tours. At night they have live music and all kinds of other acts going on (when I was there, the feature was this guy who called himself "Stormcrow;" I don't know how else to describe it except that it was very ...Florida). The staff are a friendly group of people who are happy to tell you about the different beers they have on tap. Great for groups.

I really like this place. This is a brewing company started by a couple local home brew hobbiests. There is nothing fancy about it. It is in a big industrial warehouse building. The brewery is in the back, and you can take tours daily. The front has been finished out with a bar, a small band area, tables, and a side darts room. There are a bunch of tables outside the front door, and smokers hang out there. It's the kind of place where friends can go to hang out and just talk. They have decks of cards, table games, checkers, and chess. And people do sit and drink and play. The beer is excellent. They have 24 beers on tap. About half are their own brands, and half are upscale beers from around the world. I'm a big fan of the pale ale, but all of them are superior. The alcohol content of most is higher than your average mass produced beer - 5% to 6% in most cases. The double IPA is more like 12%, and they serve it in 10 oz cups. Lots of people, especially on their first visit, get the sampler trays to try a variety. I highly recommend it.

Part brewery, part bar/museum, and all fun; the Orlando Brewery is located in the peculiar industrial section of town over on Atlanta. Difficult to find at night, if it were for the loud live music and cars parked along the block on a typical friday or saturday. During the day, the brewery hosts tours, and at night, you'll often find art shows, live music events, and more. On tap, the brewery hosts their fine selections that often vary depending on the time of year. Always a good time to sit out on their picnic tables and enjoy a good-ole hoe-down.

This place is awesome, hidden away in the middle of nowhere with a great selection of home brewed beers, a mom and pop feel, and great musical events, Orlando Brewing Company is top notch.

If you want excellent beer, well maintained taps, and a decent atmosphere to enjoy said beer. Then this is the place. Oh yeah, great live music is the icing on this hoppy liquid cake. Go there now, you won't regret it.

I had no idea that Orlando had a respectable, working brewery/brewpub. Orlando Brewing turns out over a dozen fantastic beers, made on premise, just south of downtown. Their doble IPA is fantastic, as is the brown ale and Winter Park Ale. They also have a few organic beers. A few of their beers are available in bottles, but all are available on tap at the brewpub or in gallon growlers. The brewery is in a RIDICULOUS area. Not bad, mind you. They're just dead in the middle of the metal-recycling, warehouse district, so expect an abandoned, Mad Max-esque scene when cruising up Atlanta Ave. Have no fear, though: once you drive through the chain link fence into their parking lot (look for the red bus!), you'll find the nicest, cleanest, friendliest little pub imaginable. Prices are fantastic. With more than two dozen beers on tap, you can try a flight of 4oz samples of any or all brewery beers for a buck each. Pints run around 4 dollars. There are friendly regulars, friendly regular dogs, a dartboard and some of the best beer in Orlando. Music on weekends. Give it a shot--drink local!

I think I finally got a little picture of some kind of a beer scene in the Central Florida area. Finding this place was easy considering I had directions, but when I was looking around in a warehouse district I was a little thrown off; then I remembered, it's a brewery first! Walking in, there was an event going on that was organized by a bartender volunteer that was raising money for a dog shelter. The event had live music, a good amount of people, and a raffle of some sorts that I walked in late on. I tried the Olde Pelican EPA, the house IPA and the European Pilz. None of the beers disappointed and most on the menu were $4 a pint. My favorite of the ones I tried was the house IPA but with at least 2 other IPAs to choose from, I must go back! This place reminded me why you need to support your local brewery or brewpub in this case. You could see that the people who came here genuinely love beer and the volunteers, who work solely for tip, genuinely love this brewery and even go as far to organize events for it. There is lots of beer love going on in this place but eat before you come because they don't serve food but they have menus to all the local places where you can order out and have delivered. On a final note they are a Florida agricultural sharing business supporting local farmers and most, if not all of their beers are organic. Enjoy!

I know everyone that works here and I'd consider a couple of the bartenders friends so I might be partial. But the beer is good and they have some good local bands sometimes. Megan and Jenn make this place worth the price. Speaking of price, Monday is 2$ pint night. Yeeeaaaa!

First off, this place can be hard to find. Its in a dark part of town where seeing street signs is difficult. Plus, it doesn't look like a typical bar and I had trouble finding the actual door inside once I parked. Don't count on parking in the lot though, it fills up. Street parking is readily available however. Once inside you see the bare bones of this little bar. its nothing fancy by any means but its a great place to try something new and catch up with friends. They have many different choices of freshly brewed beer, I went with the current monthly special at the time, Octoberfest, which I found rather good. It's not crowded in here at all, a change from what I am used to. I was told the bartenders actually are volunteers so be sure to tip. And if you get hungry feel free to order in, they have a wide array of menus from nearby eateries. I had fun but must admit it's not really my type of place, I really only like light beer.... plus I felt over dressed and there wasn't enough visual stimuli for me. But its a cool brewery with lots of different ales to sample and would work perfectly for a group.
