This was my third visit here and I will never return. I would not recommend this to anyone. I decided to go for an early dinner, it was pretty busy, but there was a table available by the front door. Me and my party were standing by the "please wait to be seated sign" after being passed by 3 waitresses and a waiter, I asked a waiter "Can we sit here?". The waiter said "sure". We sat down, and we weren't given menus, he just walked away. I went to go get the menus, as we were starving. the Manager stepped in and said, "oh I can get that for you, you see usually people wait to be seated, and we then bring the menus, that way we know who is sitting." I reiterated to him that we were seated by staff, who then walked away. The manager, of all people, had a disrespectful attitude and moved the "please wait to be seated" sign closer up, as if we didn't see the sign. I isn't right for people to be treated the way we were treated. This isn't a place where I would want to spend my money.

Kind of disappointed in my last visit. The service was very slow, and my food just wasn't that spectacular. The empanadas were perfect of course, but it kind of bothered me that our waitress didn't even try to sell us any drinks after we asked about the specials. She just told us "no we don't have any." It doesn't help that they don't have prices for drinks on the menu. I really wanted to drink. I waited for 40 minutes for our entree just drinking water. Come on.. And our food was brought out separately, meaning our main dish was brought out first, and we had to wait another ten minutes for our sides to come out. The rice and beans weren't even that flavorful and my tostones were oil logged. They are supposed to be light and crispy, not dark and dry. I was just really disappointed. I didn't care to complain to the server because I wasn't about to wait another 20 minutes for the issue to be resolved, and I was hungry. I felt bad that my date paid $35 for mediocre food and service, when we could've went to the bodega down the street and spent $10 on food that's consistently delicious, and enjoyed it in the comfort of our home.

I had heard amazing things about Oh! Que Bueno and was excited to finally try it. I started with the beef empanadas, which were pretty delicious. I had the guanabana smoothie, which was also pretty fantastic. For our main entrees I got the rope vieja, while my friend ordered the churrasco. Both were good, not amazing. One thing I would like to point out that sort of dampened the experience was the very loud music inside the restaurant. It was too much for an afternoon lunch. It was a relief to finally step outside where I could hear myself think.

About the best Cuban / Colombian food I've been able to find in Orlando. I was introduced to it by a cop friend. Like many spanish restaurants, you get a ton of food for the money and expect to walk out bloated if you eat all of it (count on leftovers). The atmosphere is nothing to brag home about and the food is what brings me back. Best for those Monday - Thursday night where you don't feel like cooking, want good food, but don't care to get dressed up.

After several people told me about Oh Que Bueno, I had to go try it for myself. When I arrived they were pretty busy with several big tables so I hads a suspicion that service might be a little slow. I was seated promptly and requested a seat by a window. The host said no problem and let me sit where I wanted to sit. I was brought a menu but it was almost 15 minutes before my server came over to take my drink order. I requested unsweetened iced tea and was told they only have sweet tea. He recommended a beer but when I informed him I was allergic to alcohol, he quickly realized my drink options were very limited so I was forced to settle for a glass of water. When he brought me my water I ordered the Soup of the Day (Seafood Soup) along with the Ropa Vieja (Shredded Beef) with fried green plantains and rice with beans. The soup was brought out in only a couple of minutes and smelled wonderful. There was a spicy salsa on the side that was incredible by itself but when I added it to the soup after tasting it, I quickly found out why it was there. You could taste the seafood in the broth but the only meat in the soup was various bits of pork. I was expecting to see some seafood in the bowl but in spite of not finding any, you could taste it in the broth. I had only had my soup for about 5 minutes and out came the rest of my meal. I would have preferred to receive it closer to the end of my bowl of soup but it looked and smelled wonderful. I tasted the Ropa Vieja and it was fantastic regarding flavor BUT it was luke warm. I never said a word because I usually let it cool before eating it anyway but because of how fast it came to me, it was either an order someone rejected or that it is from yesterday and being reheated which did not impress me at all. Had it been served at the proper temperature, I would have been VERY impressed with the dish. The Tostones served with it were obviously freshly made and delicious. They were crispy with only a hint of salt. They complimented the shredded beef perfectly. The rice and beans were perfect. The rice was not undercooked and their choice of beans and the sauce they were in was wonderful. I could have made a meal from the rice and beans alone. After the meal I asked if the Shredded Beef was normally served lukewarm and the look on his face said no. He was very apologetic but I would have been impressed if the manager had come to the table to ask about the situation personally. I was not even offered to be comped for being served food that was obviously not up to their standards. If I was judging this meal on taste alone it would receive 5 stars but because of the long wait to order a drink, I could not get something as simple as unsweetened iced tea, the entree was lukewarm... Combine that with the manager not even looking in on the situation, the meal loses 2 stars. If there is a problem with a customer's meal, you at least come to the table to see what happened so this does not happen to another guest. I will come back with my wife in the future because the food tasted so good but I sure hope I do not experience the same deficiencies or that would be my last visit no matter how tasty the food is. I was not expecting my meal to be comped but I would have expected for a manager to at least come to the table after I informed my server about my entree.

The best Colombian Food in the area. Keep coming back every month. My favorite place ever.

I came here with 2 friends after work, and I have to say that this is some of the best Cuban food I've ever had. FYI, I also lived in Miami the past 4 years. I've had my fair share of ropa vieja, and this is the best I've had. It wasn't too salty like some Cuban restaurants are. The maduros, or sweet plantains, were cooked just right, which is very hard to do. The outside was slightly crispy. The price is also affordable with rope vieja, rice, beans, and plantains all for $10. I'll definitely come back agin and try their other dishes.

Food was AMAZING!!!! 2 things I would change though: 1. it would be great if they served bread or Plantain chips or something of the sort upon arrival like most Spanish style restaurants do and 2 there were some flies flying around... other than those 2 things, the food was GREAT, service was good and the price wasn't bad.

First things first: I'm Colombian, I've been eating this food my entire life so naturally I have high expectations for Colombian restaurants. Food wise I'm happy to say Oh Que Bueno delivers, the food is authentic & delicious. This place is filled with Colombians non-stop, we wouldn't be eating there if the food wasn't on point. If you're looking to try good Colombian food for a decent price check out Oh Que Bueno. The only reason I'm giving this review three stars is because the wait is typically very long & the service can be very slow. Sometimes eating at Oh Que Bueno is a labor of patience, so make sure to go when you have plenty of time for the meal. Other than that this place is legit!

Came here for lunch, the decor was really nice, had a sophisticated modern atmosphere. The service was really good, not to mention very nice to look at, a common theme, I have noticed when eating Columbian. For appetizer we had the Yuca Frita, served with a garlic mojo type dipping sauce, really enjoyed everything about this appetizer. For entree we had the ok que Bueno which is the house specialty. It comes with a little bit of everything, arepas, sweet and salty plantains, carne asada, blood sausage, regular Colombian sausage, fried pork and fried pork belly. Everything on this plate was absolutely mouth watering, not to mention the wonderful salsa that was served with it. For drink my wife ordered a mango/passion fruit smoothie with milk very pleasant taste. Would definitely frequent this place if I lived down here what a gem.

We came in at 2 o'clock perfect timing for a late lunch. The food was cooked quickly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was five star. The chummy churro was alittle oily. Music was perfect the staff was on point. I would definitely come back again!

After church we were looking for a nice place for lunch. We decided on Oh Que Bueno because the reviews seemed decent. Being Sunday, we had to wait about 20 minutes. We sat, our drink order was taken and delivered promptly. My husband ordered pollo a la plancha and i ordered mar y tierra....grilled chicken breast and surf and turf, both amazing! Served white rice and black beans, the beans were sooooo good. The portions were perfect. We cannot wait to bring our mothers to enjoy this place. Do yourself a try this place, you won't regret it.

Oh Que Bueno en verdad es bueno!!!! As I write this; I am still basking in the afterglow of having enjoyed a very delicious meal here. This is the special occasion spot we like to frequent because we're never disappointed with the food. We were a party of 16 and the service was outstanding, our food came out in a timely manner, water and drinks always refilled, and of course, the food tasted amazing. I have had the pleasure of enjoying several dishes including the bandeja campesina (a mixture of various meats and sausages, rice beans, and even a fried egg thrown on top for good measure) The cazuela de marisco is a creamy seafood stew that will have you singing opera, it's just so flavorful and delicious that you simply can't stop eating even though you're about to burst at the seams. I highly recommend it to fellow seafood lovers. Last but not least there is the famous "Punta De Anca" That everyone talks about and I had the pleasure of ordering it tonight. (I shared it with a friend) Cooked exactly as we had requested it (Medium) and overflowing with flavor. It comes with rice, beans, and french fries. Even though I shared this dish, we still had food left overs. This is without a doubt, one of my favorite restaurants in central Florida.

Very tasty food, kind staff and spacious. Good prices and equipped with a bar if you want to just walk in and eat or drink at the bar. Come early because it fills even as spacious as they are. I am here on a Tuesday afternoon and it is packed!

Travelled to FL for a few days, we really liked the food at Oh Que Bueno, it was delicious. We ordered appetizers (yucca frita and arepa con queso) which were tasty, but they were warm, like they were premade and just sitting under a hot lamp... like other folks had mentioned, they brought out our meals before we were finished with our appetizers, didn't like that. Overall, we'll return next time we're in FL, the food is yummy!

I have eaten here before, in the days B4 Yelp! I came here with my wife and son, there was some sort of Jazz fest going on. Pretty hard to do that in a tiny lounge, but they were having it anyway. I had the "Bandeja Paisas." let me tell you it was delicious, enough food to "choke a horse." I can't believe I ate the whole thing. My wife had a steak and mofongo platter that looked awesome, and she quite enjoyed it. This is a local neighborhood restaurant that is wildly successful and it putting their value on your plate. Definitely going back.

Delicious food, ridiculously slow!!! Went here with a group if friends before a bowling event. The portions are huge and well priced, but the wait was ridiculous. We had reservations, so we were seated immediately--ordered within about 15 minutes. Almost 2 hours later, the food came out. Yummy, but not worth the wait.

Awesome authentic Colombian food. You know it's great food when you see locals here. The service is fantastic. The food is amazing as well. We have been here by ourselves and with family as well. My BFF is Colombian and didn't even know about this place and when he comes to visit, he eats here. We had several different dishes and all were amazing. We just ate until we were full. You will love this place. They have been around for a long time.

Oh Que Bueno has great food! The skirt steak is outstanding. The prices here are very reasonable! The garlic shrimp was disappointing. It was a tomato soup base and not very garlicky. Don't forget to wash down your food with some of their sangria. :) On special occasions (such as Valentine's Day) the seating time isn't bad, but the wait on the food, is almost unbearable.

Bandeja Paisa! Traditional Colombian plate! You cannot go wrong with this restaurant! Everything is soooooo good!

    (5)
  • Natalia P.

The bad: 20 minute wait for service. They won't turn up the volume for games that are not Colombia. They parked their car and washed it and blocked my car The good: the waiter was nice. Food is decent

  • Gisela G.

The Bandeja Paisa here is amazing! So much flavor, and the portions are huge. Two can easily share this meal and still have left overs. Taking that into account, prices are great if you share a meal.

Best Colombian restaurant in Florida. The empanadas are fresh. The aji is perfect. The bandeja paisa is authentic. Their juices are simply refreshing and delicious. The food always comes out fresh and the service staff is very friendly. If you are looking for a taste of Colombia this is the place to reminisce not to mention the beautiful people.

The food is delicious but the customer service is not the best. If the food wasn't so good, I probably wouldn't go back. They should train their servers better.

Great Colombian food. The bandeja paisa and the pechuga de pollo apanada were both outstanding. The frijoles (beans) are Colombian style and very tasty. I recommend the arepa con queso which is served at room temperature with melted butter drizzled on top. The empanadas are good, but you can get better at the Colombian bakery up the road just past Aloma Avenue. The aji had too much tomato and no sweetness or bite from vinegar which is not normal. The service was absolutely horrible as the waitress never checked on us. We had to seek her out in the restaurant to get refills on our drinks and our order was incorrect and needed to be sent back. The TLDR: Above average food, but less than stellar service.

Visited Oh! Que Bueno last night on my way back from the airport. I always enjoy Colombian food but my husband is not adventurous (so I don't go often enough). My mom, son (2.5) and I stopped for dinner. My mom had the empanadas . It was a serving of 4 filled with meat and has a corn outer dough. This is different from the Puerto Rican staple. Mom really enjoyed them. I chose the Bendeja Paisa and gave some to my son. This platter comes with rice, maduros, beans, egg, and a variety of meats. My 2.5 year old loved the steak and said "tasty". I loved the entire meal. I also had mango juice- very refreshing. The cost of the meal was very reasonable. The service was a bit slow but I enjoyed the company. I did not see a children's menu but it was child friendly. I would just make sure you child is open to eating something other than mac and cheese, hotdogs or chicken fingers. You will enjoy it! Try it!

Authentic Colombian fare at a great price. Portions are generous and quality is always on point. Friendly service for the most part. There are several Latin/Colombian restaurants in town but this one is the best by far. I highly recommend the bandeja paisa

The food was pretty good however the service is not. I called in an order for pickup. The man told me my order would be ready in 15 minutes. So I arrived about 20-25 minutes after I called. When I was waiting by the pick up area/bar, I was unacknowledged for a good 10 minutes. When a waitress finally asked if I was picking up an order, it took her 30 minutes to give it to me. The 15 minutes turned into an hour. Its ridiculous to wait an hour for a simple pick up order of rice and chicken. Maybe the service is better if you dine in.

La Bandeja paisa is a must try. My boyfriend and I shared the plate for lunch. I also enjoyed a shot of espresso afterward (cafe cortadito). The service and experience overall was phenomenal.

  • Beatrice M.

Consistently tasty. I usually get the Extrana, but I stepped outside my box and got the Carne Asada which was even tastier. I chose the tostones and don't forget to ask for a side of monitoring not on the menu. Full bar and plenty of seating. Plates are large. Gets full during any Spanish event.

  • Tara R.

A must try! There is nothing we ordered that wasn't absolutely delicious. We all gravitated toward steak, but different cuts. From skirt to round steak. The rice was top notch with windfall beans. The house sauces are a MUST. The mojito (Garlic) was my favorite but make no mistake about it the chimichurri and the hot house sauces were of the chain. Don't forget the desert. Loved the tres leches and the "nata" (spelling not sure I got it right but it's pronounced that way) Eat and enjoy! Joaquin was a great server ask for him!

  • Omaira D.

Upgraded interior so don't be turned off by the outside. The portions are man-sized and the flavor is out of this world. I drive over 45 minutes to get here and its worth every mile. I recommend the Punta de Ana, cooked medium, rice, beans and maduros. The beans, by the way, are the best beans I've ever had EVER, and I'm hispanic, we eat A LOT of beans lol For the kids they only serve chicken and french fries, however, the chicken is hand made nuggets that are super flavorful. I bring all the out of towners here, that's how much I love it!

I went here for the first time on Wednesday night. I have heard so much about the food and how great it is. It is really good, but being a member of a Cuban family, I am spoiled by my mother-in-law's and husband's cooking. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars. I ordered grilled steak with onions and Mofongo (mashed plaintains with garlic, oil and pieces of pork fat. ($10). My son ordered Arepas with steak ($9). My husband ordered Bandeja Paisa ($13) which is a huge plate full of steak, sausages, chicharonies (sp) , rice with and egg on it! I will go back and try this again!

  • Juliet R.

Its good but I am not crazy about this kind of food. The variety is good even the portion. I ordered the fried pork chunks and it wasn't fried I guess thats how Colombians make it I am used to thr Cuban style its actually fried and not sweet compared to Colombians style.

After a long day of eating at Epcot Food and Wine it was time to hang out with my dear friend Melvita from Chicago. She was in town for a workshop and we had to see each other and have dinner. Fortunately, we were near a great Colombian restaurant on Semoran near the Orlando Internationl Airport. Oh Que Bueno has been on this side of town for quite a bit now. Most of my Latino friends come here and have told me how good the food is. The atmosphere is nice. When you walk in the music is playing at full blast and the locals are enjoying good conversation and a good meal. It smells great as soon as you enter and we were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. Tonight seemed a bit busy. Every table had someone and the servers were moving and shaking helping the customers. Joaquin was our server for tonight. Very friendly gentleman with a great sense of humor and excellent regarding knowledge of food and dessert. I had to start off with a Colombiana to drink. Bandeja Paisa. Arroz, frijoles, carne asada, chorizo, chicharron, morcilla, maduro, huevo y arepa (rice, beans, steak, fried pork skin, sausage, fried sweet plantain, black sausage, fried egg and corn cake). This was my dish. The portions are enormous. Entrana. Grilled skirt steak. This was @xobejm dish. She ate the whole steak. She loved it! Joaquin suggested to try an assortment of their sauces. Carne Asada. Grilled top round steak. This was @tarajroth dish and Melvita got the same dish but with plantains. We all tried the different sauces and they were all so good. Mojito, Hot Sauce, and Chimichurri. I did not take a photo of the sauces because we immediately attacked them. Postre De Natas Creme dessert Flan De Queso Tres Leches. We had to share all the desserts tonight. These hit the spot and were a great ending to our meal. Luckily, tonight we were hungry. Oh Que Bueno went all out and delivered an amazing huge meal and dessert. Overall, very nice place. Decent size. Music is a bit loud. TV screen to watch sports. Full bar. Clean restrooms. Great customer service. Joaquin, Gracias por todo. La comida y el servicio estuvo excelente. Te lo agradezco mucho.

This place is delicious as affordable. I have come here on several occasions including Father's Day and a date night. The red beans and rice are the best in town and the steaks are very satisfying.

  • Chris T.

So I was REALLY impressed with this place. It deserves more than 3 stars for what it is a small, local, unpretentious family run place catering to locals. Oh! Que Bueno executes that perfectly! The food was FRESH, authentic, well prepared and TASTY! The atmosphere was just okay. It was a little dark and was in kind of a random part of town. You would absolutely drive by if you were not a Yelper. In fact, had it not been for Yelp, I would never have stopped in. I'll be back and if you're ever on Semoran out by the Orlando airport skip Applebee's, Fridays and Tony Romas. You won't be disappointed.

I know almost nothing about Columbian food but I know plenty about GOOD food and this place is far beyond "good" and in a class all it's own. Entering the place is a little odd because you just kind of "enter" there is no hostess stand or anything. Before you will even get a chance to think "umm what now" the friendly staff will be right there ready to seat you. The entire place is clean and well kept. They have two full bars for those that like to party while they dine. The staff is responsive and eager to answer your questions if like me you have no idea what you are ordering. The menu seems a little overwhelming if you aren't familiar with the style of food but it's nothing to be afraid of. The beans are amazing, the rice is perfectly done and the addition of an over-easy egg on top only makes these staples that much better. It's the proteins that make the food extraordinary. The black sausage is well seasoned and absolutely wonderful. The steak was perfectly tender and also full off flavor. Everything on my plate was an amazing experience in it's own right. The real gem though was the fried pork skin. I don't even know how to explain how amazing this sinful and delectable slice of piggy was. It was a decadent addition to the already full and complete platter of perfection. If you are looking for excellent food that is well seasoned and portions that will leave you immobilized then this is the place for you. This is one of those places that you take out of town friends or family to show off Orlando. I will be a regular here, I'm hooked.

Oh Que Bueno is one of my favorite Colombian dining spots in east Orlando. The portions of food they serve are massive, so starve yourself for a few days before you go there. The food is phenomenal. I can't even name a favorite dish here, it's all good. But if anyone is in the mood for a nice juicy steak about the size of your forearm, Punta de Anca is the way to go.

They should change their name from Oh! Que Bueno to... Oh! Que AWESOME! My favorite Colombian restaurant just down the road closed down so I was quite bummed, only to be ecstatic to find an even BETTER Colombian place. The meats! Oh my the MEATS!!! The paisa is classic dish with a sampling of everything you could want in a single entree. The meat mountain, apologies for forgetting the name(and the menu wouldn't pull up), but it is about $17.99 for two people, and you WILL be taking leftovers from this one. Their pork skin is the best i think i've ever had, fatty yet crispy, not an easy feat at all. My yelp friends, trust me, this place is worth the gander.....have I ever steered you wrong? And if I have, my apologies....not for leading you astray, I apologize that you are a damn liar!!!

El churrasco muy duro, la chuleta de cerdo demasiado grasosa, el mofongo estaba medio crudo. La atención muy mala, lo único rico son las bebidas.

Our first time having Colombian food, and you sure have made a lasting impression. Oh yes, you Colombians are quite generous making sure we're stuffed. It's times like these when you have to loosen your belt or pop off a button to make some extra room. Service: Impeccable! by our cheery waitress. I asked her what the "lulo" juice on the menu was since I was looking for something new to try. It's alright, I understand it's impossible to translate something into English and describe the flavor in words. She told me not to worry and that it was good - so I trusted her with my gut instinct. After researching, it's described as a "little orange" - mix between a lime and rhubarb? The juice is green, but it gives off a refreshing citrusy flavor. Okay, I know. I'm having a hard time putting it to words too. My recommendation - It's good. Try it! The guanabana (sour sop) and guayaba (guava) are excellent too. Hard to choose now eh? My description: 1. Lulo - smooth, slight tart, orange/berry-like 2. Guanabana - pineapply, tart, creamy coconutty 3. Guayaba - very fragrant (floral), light pink, pear-like Food for the 3 of us: 1. Bandeja Paisa 2. Bandeja Campesina 3. Seafood soup (Sorry I don't remember the exact name & I couldn't load the menu) If you're a MEAT LOVER and want a sampler, go for choice #1 and 2. If you want a lighter seafood meal, #3 isn't bad. It's a large bowl of soup with a great seafood variety - clams, mussels, fish, shrimp, etc. There's rice + plaintain and salad on the side to go with it. I didn't have a beefy appetite that night, otherwise I would have ordered Ropa Vieja - shredded beef mixed with tomatoes onions and red pepper. By no means did I know how protein heavy our meal was going to be, but it was like a PLATTER, not a plate! So if you're a small eater, I suggest you share 1 platter. It will easily feed 2 people. Possibly even have leftovers. 3 people = 3 entrees, 3 drinks, 1 appetizer = $56 = happy, full us Fellow Yelpers, friends, strangers - I urge you to give it a try. Don't have to take my word or believe me, but you'll be missing out on some good stuff. Just sayin'.

It says they close at midnight, I got here with my family at 10:45 pm as soon as I guess the manager saw us get out of the car he goes to the front door and locks it as soon as I'm about to walk in and just walks away. Really rude.

My family and I come here when we want some delicious Colombian food. Oh! Que Bueno is a pretty busy place regardless of the time that you go which says a lot about the food however, I feel like their customer service could be a little better. If the waiter/waitress would be more friendly and attentive to their customers without looking as if they were in a rush I would have given 5 stars.

Nice place. They give large portions. I had a shrimp dish and I could not stop eating the rice. My sisters and I shared a pitcher of sangria. It was perfect. The server was helpful and friendly. She came to our table just enough times.

Restaurant is very nice inside, very spacious. I loved the Entraña (Grilled skirt steak). Amazing! This meat is so tender and so flavorful. We devoured our meals. I replaced the maduros (sweet plaintains) for patacones (tostones). Note, to eat patacones you need to add salt on top - that's how you're supposed to eat them. Couldn't replace the beans but shockingly found myself eating some of them - I'm not a bean fan. To drink I had one their natural fruit juices, Mora en Leche (Blackberry in milk). I added some extra sugar for my sweet tooth.

Went to this place last night and man, was it good! It was Saturday night and packed, so we belly up to the bar and Solangie, our bartender and server, took great care of us. Seriously, the best Margarita I've ever had. We split a shrimp with garlic, onions and olives with mofungo and was absolutely delicious. Then we ordered another margarita. Then we split an order of the Ropa Vieja and it was cooked to perfection. I love shredded beef. The next time I go, I want to order the fried red snapper topped with seafood. This looked beyond incredible. Then we ordered another margarita. :) Good food here.

Que bueno de hecho! Si, por favor! Today, I made my first visit to this fine twelve-year-old Columbian establishment on South Semoran. They were doing major business during the Friday lunch hour at this lovely dark-lighted spot, located on a stretch of 436 that could use a do-over. Honestly, this part of town is Joan-Rivers-ugly. I'd like to personally implode the abandoned Perkins that still barely stands a few doors away. My starter was an arepa con queso, simply presented as two thick slabs of white cheese on top of a hot corn cake. As I ate it, the queso gradually melted into the arepa for a taster's delight. On to an entree: Filete de Pescado En Crema de Ajo, or fish filet in garlic cream. The waitress told me that the fish was tilapia (isn't everything tilapia these days?). The entree was accompanied with a salad, a big mound of white rice, and fried green plantanos. Since lunch is my dinner, I had two glasses of wine. Be careful: They are extra generous with their wines by the glass. I was comforted and relieved when I arrived home safely. Oh! Que Bueno is a place I wish I had discovered long ago.

Best bandeja paisa I've ever had. The chicharron was cooked to perfection not overcooked like most places. Will go again.

After reading reviews and wanting to try out a new place with my boyfriend and best friend, we drove about 20 minutes to dine at Oh! Que Bueno. Didn't mind the short wait to be seated because I'd heard such good things about this place via Yelp. What we did mind was the 1 hour wait for food and what's worst, no explanation, apology or anything when asked the status of our food. I kid you not, we've noticed several parties come in, sit down, get served, eat and leave in the time we waited for our food. Not cool :( The waitress said it would be another 7 minutes.. waited another 15 minutes before we decided to leave. I hate to write a negative review but service is a big deal in the restaurant business. Can't say I'll try again, first impressions are strong.

Dirty tables! Drinks took about 20 mins to arrive. The service staff were absolutely rude! After waiting for more than an hour on our food we picked up and left. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN. STAY AWAY.

I live in Miami and everytime I come to Orlando I visit this Restaurant. The owner have put an effort in the update of the premises. But this isn't enouh for him. Customer service in its highest level, attention to every detail, even the Menu has updates in a regular basis bringing to the clientele a variety of ingredients to satisfy the most demanding palates. Felicitaciones Juancho, esos si son Frijoles. If you want to try Colombian, you must come here. Try the casuela de frijoles.

After a 12 day vacation that ended with three days in Universal Orlando we were ready to head home. On the way to the airport we found out our flight was heavily delayed so we had a chance to stop somewhere and get some food. So we Yelp! it up. Find the best place to have a great meal. We landed at Oh Que Bueno. Maybe 10 minutes from the Orlando Airport on the same road. This place was AMAZING!!! We started off with a couple of Presidente beers (a dominican staple) and some Fried Chicharron (fried pork fat) ,fried Yucca and empanadas, Yes it was all fried and there is nothing wrong with that. They were all delicious and the Presidente was cold as can be on a hot July day. For the main course everyone but my youngest had a different variation of the same thing Mofongo. Mofongo is fried green plantains make into a puree, or as much as you can fried plantain with pork bits inside and a delicious broth, their chicken broth was awesome. I had it with the churasco, my wife with the bistec encebollado (thin steak and onions), and my son had it with Shrimp in a delicious sauce. The best was the shrimp, cause of course I had a piece of every plate. Of course my youngest just got chicken fingers so I won't even tell you that was very generic and won't bother mentioning here. After a couple more beers and another delay. We had some tres leches pudding, and that was just the icing in the cake. Lastly, the service was excellent. The young man that tended to us, I can't remember his name, could not be nicer or more attentive. He really made this one of the best dining experiences I have ever had at a latin restaurant.

You know that awkward moment when you step inside a restaurant you've never been before and you're not sure whether you're supposed to seat yourself or wait to be seated, luckily at Oh! Que Bueno, you don't have to deal with that. Moments after walking in, despite there being no hostess stand, a young gentlemen showed us to a table and set us up with menus. Quickly, our server got our drink order and asked if we had any questions about the menu. Mike and I each ordered an entree and a mofongo to try. Once they brought our food we realized we had enough to feed an army. There entrees might be a little pricier than we anticipated, but we each ate a ton and still had enough for a second meal of left overs. Mike ordered the bandeja paisa which amounted to a plate full of meat, rice and beans, avocado, and maduros. I ordered bistec a caballo which was steak with a tomatoe and onion sauce, two fried eggs, yucca, potato, rice and beans. Like I said, we had enough to feed an army. We both thought the steaks were cooked well, in the traditional Columbian way. Our server was nice and even humored me as I busted out my college Spanish speaking skills. ¡Que Bueno!

My family and I love this place! We live in St.Augustine and have driven several times to Orlando 122 miles for the delicious food. We always get the Bandeja Paisa which is great and the Skirt steak is phenomenal! The maracuya (passion fruit ) juice is so yummy. The only thing I don't like is the arepas that come with the dish they are fried and not griddled which make them like little hockey pucks! Overall it's a great place to eat !!!!

I don't know how many times that we have passed by here and one night my wife said to me I want Colombian food...no tie required. It was crazy crowded and there was about 1/4 inch of parking in the lot behind the restaurant but we made it happen. I have never had Colombian fare really, so I went in with an empty stomach and an open mind. Good thing too. I sampled the barnyard, not really but our server suggested it. It had a fried pork slice, two types of sausage, steak, plantains, and veggies. My wife sampled some chicken with a cream base sauce with mushrooms. The service was friendly and fairly fast for the slamming there were going through. They had some fruit drinks very similar to smoothies which were absolutely delish! I really enjoyed the food, the service, and the atmosphere. Although I nearly called it quits when I was looking for parking. The empenadas were cooked just right, flaky and moist! We also sampled the fried yuka...mmmm. A little light on the kids menu, but they did have fresh chicken fingers for the kiddies...not pre-made most likely, they looked homemade and hand battered. Overall, I had a great time and the food was very well priced for the amount you get. The menu has a nice array of good food.

Its been a while since we last ate colombian food and I have to say this place is pretty good. Their portions are meant for two and the service is kind of come and go. It's a nice ambiance and I definitely recommend it for anyone who enjoys large portions of food for a decent price. Their empanadas are great if only they were bigger, I feel like they're meant to be for kids.

The food here is plentiful. If you walk in hungry you will not leave there that way. The only bad thing is the wait time. I waited total 20-30 minutes for a waiter to even acknowledge I was there then I waited another 30 minutes for my food. To me that is excessive even on a busy night. So step it up dint have paying customers waiting to long. To end on a good note the food is delicious.

Note to self: not many vegetarian options here. I mean, the place is nice, it's more of a "real" restaurant than what I was expecting. Inside and outdoor seating, very nice actually. English and Spanish both spoken here. Lots of meat options. Arepas are not the kind I wanted, however. Still trying to figure out all the different types. . .white flour, corn flour, sweet arepas, and then the arepas like the one I got here. Grilled flour with two long and white, hard pieces of cheese sitting side by side looking rather dumb--staring at each other as if they have no clue to what to say to each other. I'm confused at this point, but ok. Some arepas come in this form. I was expecting an arepa that consists of a grilled white flour pocket filled with melted cheese, and this is not it. . .Whatever. The rice and beans were actually really tasty. Very sticky white rice, just the way I like it. . . I ate the dumb cheese logs because they were there and honestly I did not want to be the stupid uncultured person who has no concept as what to do with the arepas components sitting before me. It's food--if you're not sure what to do with it, I figured ultimately the idea is just to get it in your mouth, chew, and swallow. . . And if this is the ultimate goal, I succeeded.

On the way from the airport to home, I was looking for a Mexican restaurant and stopped at Oh! Que Bueno. Nothing on the menu looked familiar, so I asked the waitress what type of restaurant this was. She said it was Columbian. I had never eaten Columbian food and decided this chance encounter was my opportunity. She was helpful in navigating through the menu. The food was appetizing, tasty, not too spicy, and a generous portion. Also, the prices were easy on the wallet. I'll definitely return to try some of there other entrees.

I live and work in the area, and always tell myself that I have to try this place. Well finally I convinced the hubs, and our room mate to try it yesterday. WOW. First we all shared an arepa con queso. Growing up in Miami, I think I am used to the Venezuelan arepas which are made on a sweet corn cake and have melted white cheese inside. This one was quite different and resembled a very thick white corn tortilla (think of a very firm pancake), with two slices of a creamy/tangy white cheese on top. It was also drizzled with a bit of olive oil. Although it was not what we expected...it was still awesome. The arepa was fresh, very hot, and delicious. And the cheese was a little cool, and tangy and creamy tasting. Very yum! For our entrees, my husband and the room mate ordered the Bendeja Paisa (see the pictures and read the other reviews for the contents)...and not only was it super cheap (10.95$), but it was like meat overload. They were ridiculously happy, and I think I might have even heard small school girl giggles erupt from their mouths as they stared at the copious amounts of beef and pork on their plates. And I have to agree with the other reviewers that the chicharon (pork rind) was awesome, and I have not seen anything quite like it since I left Miami. As for me, I had the Mar y Tierra (Surf and turf), which was a grilled flank steak (churrasco) topped with garlic shrimp. The shrimp and the accompanying sauce was awesome. It had tomatoes, garlic, bell peppers, and onions. It was not overwhelming and it worked great with both the steak and the shrimp. It was also served with a small salad, and a choice of two sides. I chose the maduros (sweet plantains), and white rice. My only complaint was that my steak, although perfectly cooked, had a bit too much char on it to the point where I had to peel the char off so I could eat it and enjoy the flavor of the rest of the steak. Although, I am attributing this to an off moment, it won't hinder my giving this place 5 stars for the AWESOME service, value, and great food all around. On a side note...this place has a bar area with TVs, and they have a few TVs in the dining area where they hypnotize you with images of the foods they serve and ads for local businesses. It is also a very family friendly type of place, and a friend of mine tells me that on the weekends they have live music.

Enjoy your day/ night out some where else. Don't make the same mistake we did Ignoring the reviews. They are shady and thieves. When we cashed out we signed for the bill of $40 and no tip for we left cash on the table. The next a transaction of $52.41 was changed to our account. I called right away spoke with several employees telling them that the server entered a $12.41 tip for her self that we did not authorized. I was told that Alexandro the manager would call as soon as he came in. Well I guess my $12.41 unauthorized charged was not important enough for him to call me back. The next the I called again and Alejandro conveniently was not there again. This when on for day. I placed my dissatisfaction over and over again and that I wanted the $12.41 back into my account or that I would report them to the BBB. I was told they wound not do any thing that only the manager could do that. The worse thing is that they are doing this with a small percentage of the people that eat there so people don't realize they are being robbed.

It was cheaper for 9 people, and much tastier, than for 3 at any of the Universal Studios restaurant. We paid for 6 out of the 9 and the bill was only $101...including a few coffees and desserts. I thought this place was only a Colombian restaurant but the menu had a variety of Latin foods. I had the Ropa Vieja, which I consider a Cuban dish - it wasn't even $12. They also had a whole section dedicated to moldings, which is delicious, though I've only had it when I was in Puerto Rico and consider it a Puerto Rican dish. I loved the rice and beans, which wasn't black beans...maybe it was kidney, but it was still delicious.

AMAZING food at a great price! However, a bit too noisy for dinner. So if you are planning a quiet date to get to know a special someone, not the ideal place. Otherwise very very good! Try the bandeja 'paisa' .. it is one of there specials, and authentic Colombian choices. Great after subsequent dates or to enjoy wonderful dinner with family.

Found this place while trying to decide what to eat in Orlando. So glad we gave it a shot! The menu is extensive. Prices are great for the amount of food you get and the service was awesome. The waitresses didn't even seem to mind to take photos of us when we asked since we were tourists visiting the Orlando area. We were a party of 4 and we all ordered different dishes to try. Each plate came with rice, beans, and plantains. We got the following: Pechuga de Pollo Apanada - Breaded Chicken breast Bistec encebollado - Grilled Steak topped with grilled onions Bandeja Paisa - Rice, beans, steak, fried pork skin, sausage, fried sweet plantain, black sausage, fried egg and corn cake Churrasco Steak with Mofongo (mashed fried plantains) Beef Empanadas Each dish that came did not disappoint. My friends and I arrived hungry and left the place very satisfied. I wish we had something like this in San Jose. I could eat Columbian almost everyday. Not only was the food que bueno, it was que rrrrrrrico!!!!

Oh Que Bueno! (literally meaning, Oh! How Good!) is located in a predominantly Latin American part of Orlando along Semoran Boulevard just north of Curry Ford Road and south of SR 408. Oh! How Good, definitely lived up to its name on our visit. Inside Oh Que Bueno, posters of the old city of Medellin, still lifes of guitars, and other Columbian scenes play out on the walls. There are two sections: one for regular dining and another closed off section that includes the bar and is meant for late evening diners. We sit in regular dining. On this evening, my guests are especially hungry but we undoubtedly picked the best place to quell the beasts of hunger at Oh Que Bueno. We begin with our appetizer: the beef empanadas ($5.00) which are fried meat patties made with shredded beef and potatoes. The golden crispy empanadas were good, though a bit starchy and plain served with the spicy habenero sauce for dipping. The main event for me however was the zomg legendary bandeja paisa ($12.50), who some regard as the national dish of Columbia. Originating from the Antioquia Department in northwestern Colombia, the dish's name derives from the region's inhabitants, referred to as "paisas". Typically, bandeja paisa includes grilled steak (either ground or whole), chicharrón (fried pork rind), red beans, rice, chorizo, morcilla, a fried egg, and an arepa (flat corn cake). It is usually accompanied by sweet fried plantains and a slice of avocado. The Bandeja Paisa is nutritious, and particularly rich in protein from the beans and meat, but is not particularly heart-healthy due to its large amount of saturated fat (chiefly from chorizo and chicharrón). The bandeja paisa at Oh Que Bueno! is a magnificent, opulent glory of meats, beans, and rice. The pork rind is delectable and tasty, the morcilla (black blood sausage) is luscious and spicy as is the chorizo sausage. The steak is a bit bland but tender and nothing a dose of the habenero sauce won't cure. I also liked the rice in this dish as it had a fragrant aroma and moist, buttery texture to it that made my tastebuds dance. This is a huge meal so make sure you come hungry. All in all Oh ! Que Bueno definitely serves up the meats here in Orlando. I've had better but its still pretty good here. In addition to their meat induced comas, they all serve mofongo (mashed fried plaintain dishes), mariscos (seafood), and desserts. Come here hungry and leave satisfied :D link to post on blog tastychomps.blogspot.com…

Great attentive service, generous portions, and tasty food. I too no nothing about Colombian food, but what ever we got was great!!! The garlic sauce with the green plantain was powerful...burping garlic, but worth it. It looks like they had a full bar and the place was very clean. It looked like the restaurant was about 75% full...but we were the only non Latin folks there.

We stopped in based on other Yelp reviews, and because I'm on a mission this year to avoid fast food and try as many new restaurants as possible. I started with a blackberry juice, which was pretty decent. My hubs had the lemonade, and it tasted more sour like a limeade - not bad, but not what he was expecting, either. Mofongo has become my gauge for good Colombian in the area, and I must say, their mofongo was some of the best i've had. Not dry, with good flsvor from the pork cracklings, though they weren't evenly distributed - got a lot more at the end than at the beginning. It is the first time I've completely finished one. I got it with shrimp in garlic sauce, but didn't really get much garlic flavor. It was overwhelmed by the cilantro. The shrimp were perfectly cooked. My hubs got the Paisa - his standard fare. He wanted to try it with the black sausage, which was only so-so. The steak was very flavorful, as was the chorizo. The hot sauce was very good, not super hot, but it had a lot of flavor. The corn cake was somewhat bland and dry. Overall, we both thought the meal was pretty good. The service was great, and we both walked out stuffed.

Went there around 5:30pm. 15 Min wait. Churrasco steak came undercook but when it was brought back and redone, it was actually delicious. The empanadas was just ok. Little too much potatoes. The one thing that prevented me from giving it a 4 was that we literally waited 1 1/2 hour before the main course was served. Would give it another try. Maybe an off night. Rice a beans delicious and the seafood was tasty.

GREAT food. Why are you on the other side of town!?!! I had mofongo with pork. So delicious. I like mofongo but this was ODM (Oh Dios Mio!) delicious. The pork chunks were perfectly fried bits of pig heaven. The mofongo itself was perfect. Such a satisfying, comfort-food type meal. Hubs had the bandeja paisa and I sampled. I love the Hispanic style of serving white rice with a fried egg. Fried egg makes anything better. The oxtail was tasty, as was the sausage. Tip: two people can easily share the bandeja paisa. You should. If you order two entrees, you will have leftovers. If you DON'T have leftovers from two entrees, you should be especially careful when you walk/roll to your car. The chef will probably think you're the source of his next oxtail.

My mission, I wanted to get some good Bandeja Paisa and my experience was OK at Oh! Que Bueno. The restaurant is easy to find, is big, clean and the service is really good. However the Bandeja Paisa was decent but not extremely good. What things I would change to make the dish way better: - Bigger Portion of beans - Smaller portion of carne asada or even better change it for ground beef - Avocado I think it is all a matter of proportions. This dish is big by nature, but not having the right proportions makes it look like another type of dish. On top of that the Postre de Natas that I had for dessert was horrible. I dont know if it was old or what but it didnt taste like a postre de natas. Natural fruit juices are really good. And the price is also about right.

I just love this place, it makes me happy to eat there. I've tried a variety of things and never has it disappointed. I've always had good service and friendly staff. Large portions too, I always have leftovers for lunch. Last time we were there, the bf tried the lomo saltado and he said it was the best he's had in Orlando. Like I said, it makes me happy to eat here.

I often say that in Orlando, if you don't want "chain" restaurants, the only really good food here is "Country" or "Latin" food. Oh! Que Bueno is one of the best representations of the latter. I had never had Columbian fare before visiting OQB and man was I ever glad I did. The wait staff is extraordinary and very friendly. The food is fast and tasty. I love the Filete Apanado and the Chicken with Mushroom Sauce. My wife is very fond of the Bandejas Campesina which is basically a lot of different meats. For appetizers you can't beat the Arepa Con Queso, Yucca Fritta, or the Empanadas. Have it all with a Columbian beer and man-o-man what a meal!

    (4)
  • John L.

The place is just average, big portions, but nothing is really good or extraordinary in this restaurant, poor decoration. Those who really know Colombian food (I'm originally from Colombia) will agree this is not one of the best Colombian food restaurants in town. Perhaps the best things you can try there is the Chuleta de Cerdo apanada(Breaded fried pork steak) it's huge and tastes really good or the Carne asada con arepa (corn flat bread and steak), All the natural juices are good also (guananbana, mora, maracuya) The Bandeja Paisa(Tipical combination platter, red beans, white rice, fried pork skin, steak, egg, colombian pork sausage) it's just a big dish but lack of flavor in this restaurant,Don't try the Ajiaco at Oh que bueno(suppose to be a creamy potato, chicken , corn soup) here is just a watery soup, nothing to resemble the original colombian Ajiaco.

I've never been to Columbia, so I may not be one to judge the authenticity, BUT I do know if food tastes good, on that I am an expert. The food at Oh! Que Bueno, was pretty tasty! However, I was starving and lost in a random neighborhood with my sister when we had to pull over and eat to save our sanity, so that may also be a factor here. Service was extremely friendly and helpful, our server recommended her favorites, as well as the customer favorites. This was definitely the first place I have visited in Orlando, and been certain there was not a tourist in the joint, which I figure is always a good sign. For the record, the plantains are really tasty and my sister got the same shredded chicken dish Nathan R. mentioned which was definitely delicious. We also got a platter with a sampling of many dishes, since we were not familiar with Columbian food, and we enjoyed most everything, especially the sausages. I also think the name is really cute, I liked saying it as we passed, which is probably why we stopped!

Came down to Orlando for the weekend and wanted to try different food I can't find in Georgia.. I've had Cuban food but never Columbian. I am glad I choose this. Alittle further than I'd like. We stayed close to seaworld. But it was worth the drive.. It's not in a tourist area so everyone in there was either eatting with family or was break from work. I'm not sure about this but it felt like a family owned restaurant. Which makes this 10x better. The menu was easy to read. I didn't know alot of Spanish but luckily my puerto rican girlfriend helped me out. She's not that fluent by the way... Food was great. Large portions. Fast service. Greeted and sat down within a minute as we entered. The restaurant was crowded. But that's a good thing.. We will come here everytime we visit Orlando.. If anyone knows how I can drive here from seaworld area without paying for tolls that would bd helpful. Thanks

I have been to Oh! Que Bueno a few times now and personally think it is delicious. It is a Columbian restaurant, and having no previous experience with Columbian food, I am definitely no expert on it. Both times I have been there the service has been friendly and punctual and the food hot and delicious. I don't remember the name of the dish, but I usually get something that involves shredded chicken, onions and peppers in a red sauce and rice atop a large, smashed plantain. My friend got Carne Asada which was also pretty tasty. If you are looking for something besides your traditional american fair, try Oh! Que Bueno for some delicious Columbian cuisine.

  • Eating O.

Oh! Que Bueno is a fine choice for Columbian cuisine. The food is rather plain, or rather spiceless, but that's typical for a Columbian dish. The portions are large, and the service is friendly. After your meal, stay for a beer and catch a soccer game, er, futbol game.

I'll keep this short and sweet. Want delicious authentic Colombian food? This is the place to go. Relaxed atmosphere with very good servers, plenty of room for groups, and great prices. Nice Cumbia music playing makes you wish you could dance while you eat. Just to give you an idea, drinks are fairly priced at about $1.25 for a soda and a full traditional Bandeja Paisa meal (rice topped with an egg, pinto beans, sweet plantains, small arepa, big slice of avocado, carne asada, chorizo, morcilla, and chincharron) is about $11. For $10 you can omit the morcilla and get the Bandeja Campesina (I still can''t eat them, as hard as I try, but I was told that the ones here are very good!). This puts OQB at juuust into the "moderate" price range, but its honestly cheap. There are a variety of other dishes, including great grilled chicken, seafood, higado, mofongo, and lots more. Their tres leche and flan desserts are great. If you are unfamiliar, go with the cheese flan. it is, by its nature, much creamier than the vanilla version! Big portions, delicious food. GO!!! One last note. For anyone that reads this, as a Colombian, I beg you - especially if you're going to be writing a review - to learn to spell the name of my country. Colombia, with two Os is a country. Columbia, with a U, is something else entirely.

So I have been to this place twice. One thing I can say outright is this the portions do not in any which way disappoint. I guarantee you that if you want to get full for a decent buck this place is meant for you (( I ended up getting the bandeja Paisa: which for those of you to lazy to read in other reviews is, a steak, a sausage, a chicharone, an arepa, rice , beans, maduros and an egg to top it all off. Oh and this costs 10.95)). Now I will tell you I am Cuban , and have very limited experience when it comes to Columbian cuisine, the reason I say this is because the food tasted kind of bland. I personally don't know if Columbian cuisine is supposed to be bland, though the truth is that most Cuban restaurants are in a similar realm. This is not to say the food is bad, its just not the most amazing food you will ever taste. The atmosphere is really kind of drab and plain, and doesn't leave a lasting affect at all. In fact its almost like this place got all its money and invested it in giving food on the cheap. I would say if you are looking for a place to have a decent meal that you will probably knock out from after consuming it, without hurting you wallet to badly, then this is the place for you.

I was taken there by my buddies and the 8 of us had different items. I had to sample them all and I was not disappointed. I had the fired whole red snapper, and it was prepared every much to my liking. I loved the steak with the dipping sauces. Just have some strong breath fresheners because the sauces have lots of garlic. There was one plate for 2, filled with sausages, steak, potatoes, and lots more, it was a feast. All this and very reasonable prices. The waitress was pretty and very attentive.
