Ordered delivery while on vacation and didn't want hotel food. Delivery was a bit of a wait, but understandable given the final four. Pizza was outstanding. I am from NY and was impressed. The Ceasar salad was solid, fresh and plenty of dressing. The wings, while delicious, were a bit small. Again, sauce was delicious and they were well cooked, but for the money, would have expected larger. If you are in Orlando, and are craving a good pizza, look no further.

Pretty delicious pizza, right across the street from Rosen School of Hospitality. I always go for their dollar slice, but their prices are not bad incase you don't care for the flavor they chose for the day. I give it 4 stars because it is nothing amazing but worth a visit if your in the area.

After a long day at Sea World (the kids quite oblivious to the BlackFish controversy), we decided on a slice of Pie before heading back to the hotel. They have daily specials and today the margherita slice and the Sicilian slice were $1.50 each. (Normally slices start at $2.00). Two of us wanted deep dish, so the Sicilian fit the bill. The other two went for the margherita, which worked because we were honestly were going to order a medium margherita anyways. (Kid, youngest 10 yrs old) "Every bite was like a little bit of heaven in your mouth. The food looked amazing just like the taste! One of the best tasting appetizers was the garlic knots, very fluffy. It's now my favorite restaurant!!!!!!!!!!! (5 stars) also it was not crowded and had great and nice people and fast service!!" I RECOMMEND THIS HIGHLLY‼ Back to me. The garlic knots were yummy, but lacking in the garlic department.

If you're looking for a New York style pizza in the greater Orlando area and this is the place. Order a basic pizza and just fold and take a bite. It is definitely not the typical run-of-the-mill pizza that you could get at places that offer commercial style pizzas. And is a hidden gem if you're looking for something other than a Chicago style deep dish. As it's hard to find a good New York style pizza in the Orlando area. This place begs to answer the needs of those who believe that New York style pizza superior.

I'm from Chicago so I think I know my pizza....this place is delicious. Foldable slices baked fast and tasty. The only pizza I didn't love was the margarita. It needed more of just about everything, but the hawaiian was delicious. We went here 3 times the week we stayed in Orlando. Definitely a must.

Delicious pizza, and mozzarella sticks! I can't wait to go back to Orlando to get this pizza again, delivery was super quick.... I was told 45 minutes and they were gonna try to be quicker and they were. Excellent service and quality, also good pricing.

I had a mixed experience with this restaurant. We ordered delivery to our hotel. The order took an hour and 40 minutes (the hotel is 5 min away) and when it came, the order was wrong! They sent eggplant parmesan instead of chicken parmesan, forgot the side salad, plates, cheese and crushed red pepper, and the cheesecake looked like it had been flipped upside down and shaken around. I called and spoke to a manager who apologized & offered to send the missing items, the correct entree, and another piece of cheesecake. With no other option, I agreed. It took another 25 minutes but the delivery guy who came was very nice and everything was correct. The food was actually really good so once we finally got to eat it, we were happy with it.

Service: outstanding, fast and seamless Staff: friendly, personable, helpful, sweet Food: AMAZING!

The norm: 10 wings (medium) and the Manhattan Meat Lovers pizza. The wings are absolutely delicious but they are very small. $9 for 10 small but delicious wings. The pizza here is better than many of the pizza places in Orlando. The service is consistently fast and friendly. If you can, try to dine in (only) on a Tuesday because they have a promotion of buy 1 specialty pizza get 1 cheese pizza for free. FREE! We usually just eat the specialty pizza there and take the cheese pizza home for lunch the next day.

This is a very reasonably priced option for guests staying at the Rosen Shingle Creek across the street, but not wanting to pay the exorbitant food/drink prices at the numerous hotel restaurants. It's a short 10-minute walk from the hotel lobby. The pizza itself isn't bad, but not great. NY-style pizza always seems greasy and dry to me and this place doesn't do anything to change that perception. They may even ramp it up a bit. If you wonder about the NYPD moniker, you'll probably see a bunch of local cops in their unis here on their lunch break or after their shift. In fact, a couple of the tables are labeled "For Police Commissioner..." or "For Captain...."

Pizza was so good. Fried RAVIOLIS are the best and must

  • Richard T.

This was delivered to so I think some of the quality may have been lost in the time it took to deliver. Ordered a tri-state salad, not much meat and not enough deessing, daughter had the side salad and we all split 20 wings. The house salad was a good size with enough dressing. One of the biggest problems was the fact they did not bring plastic ware, hello we are ordering to the hotel. To end on a good note the wings were quite tasty, would have been real good if not cold and a little soggy. Maybe if we were at the restaurant things would have been better.

  • Ariela T.

I love this place! The pizza is sooooooo delicious and the service is fast and friendly! I ordered the garlic knots (which weren't as garlic-flavored as I would have hoped) and a personal size Alfredo pizza customized with artichoke hearts and broccoli! I am so happy I made that combination because it was unbelievably full of flavor! The restaurant itself is nice and small which I like. It's not too loud and crazy whenever I go. I just wish they delivered a bit farther out than what they do, but that's understandable. I basically have no complaints and recommend this place to anyone that asks me for delicious pizza in orlando!!

  • Bill Y.

We've eaten here several times, and love their food! The real litmus test was when we took our friends from New York here for dinner. Both of them commented that they hadn't had a pizza this good dince they left the Big Apple. Makes this truly authentic NY Pizza in my book!

  • Alejandra G.

This is one of my favorite pizza places to go to in Orlando. I found this little gem when I started at the Rosen College. The restaurant is walking distance from the college in a shopping plaza. The place always looks super clean and their pizzas are so good. I also tried their chicken wings and they are amazing as well! I highly recommend this place!

We ate here while in town for a convention. The restaurant was clean and the prices about what you'd expect for a convention area restaurant. In order of preference.... Decor - The decor was cool. It was a police department decor and was very creative and complete. Food -The food was average. It wasn't bad in any way but neither were we saying that we had to return for another visit. We had a large pizza. It was a satisfying meal. Service - Our server was friendly whenever she visited our table but too busy. They only had three servers working a Friday dinner crowd. Cleanliness - Difficult to judge but was fine for a busy meal time.

  • Hannah T.

I've learned to avoid the food in conference hotels and just order delivery. Lower odds of food poisoning. This place, however, is actually pretty good. I really liked the chocolate cake and the pizza was good for delivery. They are pretty quick to deliver to the close hotels as well. Compared to DC prices - cheap eats. I wish we had one at home

    (5)
  • Kalvin K.

This is probably the closest thing to NY pizza in Central Florida there is. I definitely like the pizza here, I wish it were a little bit crispier, but that's my own preference. Very reasonable for the quality.

    (5)
  • Michele L.

Good pizza great flavors and toppings. Wings were tasty (butter and garlic flavor). Delivered to the Hilton when the weather was bad and raining. We were appreciative of the delivery service and food was still pretty warm. Would give 3.5 stars...but one pizza and the 10 wings were $25 (not including the tip we gave the driver) which I think is a bit pricey but the food did taste good.

SAUCY SAUCY SMELL Not only did a blast of cool air conditioning escape the door once I opened it (darn, humid Florida) but so did the luscious smell of Pizza Sauce, Herbs, and oven. Our Baked Ziti Pizza was mostly chosen for its quirkiness and carb overhaul. Although the crust is thin, when it reached my table it was more soft than crispy. The Ziti Noodles were soft and didn't add anything to the Pizza (texture, depth, or flavor) except more carbs. However the Sauce and Seasonings used as the base were very tasty. Glancing at other Pizzas flying around me, each cluster of more traditional toppings appeared fresh, crisp, and presented beautifully. The Little Italy Antipasta Salad was a well-balanced collection of Lettuce (which I typically don't enjoy in huge amounts) rolled deli Meat and Cheese, Olives, tiny Tomatoes, Onions, and Peppers (?). It was a great blend of textures and flavors (a bit of subtle, salty, meaty, sour). Devoured and done. LOOKING AROUND Naturally, the décor gives lots of nods to photos and images of New York with scatterings of Police-related items. The menu itself is more than just Pizza (with variety that plays it safe for the most part) with Pastas and Subs too. LOCATION / COST I ran into this place because it's SO DIFFICULT to find reasonably priced food in this tourist-infested area with a Yelp rating higher than 3 Stars. (This place had 4.5 stars as of Sept 2014!!!) Although it's on Universal Blvd, it's still slightly off the road's bigger and more congested areas. This is a great place for groups.

    (4)
  • DeAnna P.

I don't understand all the four and five star reviews. The service was great, but the food was average. Not bad, not good, just truly average. The Caesar salad was serviceable, but not especially flavorful. The cheese pizza was undersauced and undercheesed and the crust was cooked just past the point of being done, so there was a bitterness to some of the bites.

  • Mel G.

Had to try this spot visiting Fl from NY. Was expecting real pizza and Italian food but was sorely disappointed strictly on the food. Service was very good. Pizza by the slice was old and tasteless. Individual pizza was doughy and blah. The sauce on the pasta dishes - bolognese and penne/meatball seriously tasted like out of a jar (ragu). Anyone who knows Italian food will not enjoy the food. With all this said, the salads were delicious and fresh. I would recommend eating salads there if you go.

    (2)
  • Joe C.

Total intestinal destruction! The frozen Tyson fatty chicken wings are disgusting. The reason I give a one-star is because my son and wife sort of enjoyed their pizza rolls. Come on guys, fry your wings. Don't microwave them!

Already spending mega-bucks for Orlando vacation. Last thing want to do is going out for dinner. Returning from Universal to Renaissance Resort, saw a discarded pizza box outside of someone's room. Decided to check them out online and ordered simple dinner for me, wife, and 7 year old. Ample order of spaghetti N meatballs (2 meatballs, but hell, already had a turkey leg at the parks so no need for more protein for the day) which came with a salad plus another salads since park food does not offer adequate roughage. Bill was $16.3 with $2 delivery charge. Gladly rounded up to $20. 45 minutes delivered to the lobby (hotel regulations) which was very reasonable. Hot food kept very hot, salads cool and crisp. Definitely will order again.

In Orlando for a conference and needed 18 pizzas delivered and they were recommended by a friend who had eaten their. The people taking the order were polite and got the order correct. Pizza came on time and was delicious. Price was reasonable. Thanks NYPD Pizza!

If you're looking for tasty pizza with great friendly service look no further than NYPD. We enjoyed pizza and salad, at a good price...with excellent service from Krista. Would highly recommend this local pizza restaurant and will be back.

Freaken awesome NY style pizza! Greasy and cheesy just like it should be. Huge pizza slices. Fold and eat.

    (5)
  • Jen R.

We ordered from here after seeing an empty box in the hall of our hotel. :) The pizza was delivered quickly and was so delicious! We ordered a family pack and did half cheese , half pepperoni. This deal came with garlic knots and a two liter of soda. Great deal and the garlic knots were amazing ! Next time we are in Orlando, we will definitely order from here again.Even the kids loved it!!

    (5)
  • Waheed B.

If the pizza had been ready after I called it in and came when told, it would have earned more stars. The giant cheese pizza I ordered was tasty and was grown-up with herbs and seasonings in the sauce/crust. Slices are cut very large so I would have asked for them to cut additional to make the slices easier to fit into the kids' and smaller adults' mouths. The garlic rolls/knots are really good fresh out of the oven dunke din the marinanra sauce. I enjoyed those. They offer great meal deals which could make for a reasonably priced group or family meal and I like that.

    (4)
  • Linda P.

Awesome food and service. Had delivery to the hotel. Pizza, hot wings garlic knots and cannoli - yummy! Everything was great. They took our order pretty late in the night, but still hooked us up. Thanks.

  • Paul S.

Gross. Ordered a Grecian pizza... Flavors did not meld well and the pizza was under done you couldn't even hold a slice up with one hand.

    (1)
  • Julie D.

So good!! The service was incredible and the knots and pizza were delicious!!! We will definitely make this a regular when we're in town.

    (5)
  • Greg G.

Just like pizza in NYC! The crust light, yet done. The sause tastes authentic and the cheese and toppings are awesome! Also, it is way warmer in Florida today than New York! Need I say more!

  • Jonathan D.

If you travel to Orlando on business or for pleasure don't settle for a chain!! This is THE SPOT for great pizza and salads. Eat in or take out but don't miss out on the best pie on I Drive!!

    (5)
  • Kevin F.

I wanted good pizza, but on International Drive in Orlando one is surrounded by chain restaurants, none of which guarantee fresh or good, in spite of giant billboards. NYPD is great, NY style pizza. As a born and raised NYer, I ate NYC pizza everyday, somewhere in the city or even on the Ferry. If you want great sauces, fast service, (esp if you sit at the bar) and great dough, which is the foundation on which an excellent pizza rests, hop in your car and make your way to Lake Cay!

    (5)
  • Carmen Y.

I have only tried their calzone and I enjoyed it very much. The prices were fair, ranging from 8-9 dollars per calzone. I would definitely come back to try their pizza in the future!

    (5)
  • Trish T.

We are locals and this is our "go to" place after a day or evening at the parks (usually Disney). Food like this at Disney would be more than double the price and probably not as good. We call in our pick up order from the theme park parking lot and by the time we arrive its piping hot and ready to go. The pizza is yummy and we also love the spaghetti and meatballs, which comes with a salad. House dressing is excellent. They have a dining room that looks very clean even though it seems to stay pretty busy. Service is always considerate and with a smile. Only draw back is parking can be very crowded. Also it must be a "meet up" place for people as there seems to be alot of folks standing around cars especially at night.

  • Rick S.

Pretty good pizza, the take out sices are 18 inch, A bit smaller then my Bizzaros which is like 24 inch. I give them credit for not pawning off 16 inch slices, the pizza tasted pretty good.

  • Ian B.

Ordered from a nearby hotel after seeing their flyer slipped under the door. We thought: "great!" Well 2.5 hours later, and 2 phone calls later, nothing. I don't think they are real. :-(

    (1)
  • Lakesha W.

We had the pizza and calzone. It was great even my 3 year old daughter was excited and wanted more.

    (4)
  • Mark H.

Really good New York style pizza! My wife had the Margarita pizza and I had the Meat Lovers. Both of us were impressed. We actually drove 30 minutes from our house based on the reviews and we weren't disappointed. I can't really recommend anything outside of the pizza but if that's what you're craving then this is a great choice!

    (5)
  • William D.

we arrived late to the Hilton and wanted to order in, great place, in fact excellent customer service taking the order, food arrived on time, driver called ahead (hotel requires them to meet you in the lobby, but was explained clearly in advance). food was excellent, pizza great, prices fair, took the extra time to make sure since was hotel dining had all the napkins, plates, etc needed very good and well run establishment, did not eat in, but am sure its even better to order on site, but if have family and in the hotel want to order a reasonable meal, high recommend NYPD their motto should be to satisfy and serve... :)

Great prices. Great quality of fast pizza and subs. Cool service. My go to place for quick Italian lunch food.

I represent the NY/NJ Chapter of a organization and many of the members of our chapter, and the organization as a whole, are affiliated with Law Enforcement. Every year at our International Conference, our Chapter hosts a party for the Conference attendees. This year we had our Conference at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando near NYPD Pizza. The proximity to the hotel, (a 10 minute walk), and the theme of the restaurant, seemed to make it a perfect fit for our party. I called Jeff the owner and we set up the event as a private party. TALK ABOUT A HOME RUN!!! Our members loved the décor. The consistent comment from those in attendance was how incredible the food was and how friendly and accommodating the staff were. To put it in another way, THE FOOD AND SERVICE WERE ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING!!! Next time I am in Orlando I will be going out of my way to stop by NYPD Pizza. Thank you Jeff and the entire staff of NYPD Pizza for making our event such a wonderful and memorable experience!

Yum. Yum. Yum. Yum. And yum. The casual atmosphere, staff, and food is on par. Pizza is a great size and totally delish! Oh and the crinkle fries, sheww!

  • E L.

Great pizza!! Hostess was rude. We were staying about 10 miles away and found this place on yelp. When we walked in we had to find our way to the take out window and had to track down a menu. Hostess gave us attitude from taking a menu from the check in station. Once we ordered the guys in the kitchen were very friendly and gave a great show making the pies. THE PIZZA WAS SOOOOOOO GOOD! We even ordered the biggest one they had so we could have yummy leftovers. Just as good the next day! We would definitely return when we come back to orlando. Great food!

  • Jackie C.

This place is fantastic! Very authentic pizza! Friendly wait staff and a full bar! There's not a lot of Italian dinners to chose from but the ones they do have are awesome. Their dessert are amazing too!

    (5)
  • Tiffany G.

I've eaten here a few times now... Their meatball subs are pretty good, and so was Alfredo pizza I got with broccoli and artichoke hearts... But their garlic knots are very bland, their fried ravioli is so-so, and their cheese steak sub was disgusting. It's a hit or miss at this place for sure.

    (3)
  • Todd M.

Stopped in here twice while in Orlando, and previous reviews were spot on! Great pizza, cheap beer, and friendly staff...I'll be back!!

    (4)
  • Jackie S.

Love this place. First time visiting after driving by many times. The food is great. Had meatball appetizer - tasty and just the right amount for two. We got the white pizza - ricotta, added fresh basil - it was amazing. The 14" is perfect for two if you like to have leftovers. One side note - the servers could be a little more on it....

    (5)
  • Daniel B.

This place is garbage and so is the pizza and service. It took 2 hours to get my order delivered and it was garbage. It was delivered by a hairy guy in a wife beater shirt who's hygiene was non existent. When I called to complain they argued me.

    (1)
  • Marc C.

Although I am biased cause I live next door and have an epic crush on one of the waitresses I will say in honestly this is my favorite pizza place in the US. New York style that's never overly greasy and is made just right. It's always fast, friendly, fresh and decently priced. It's a family owner/operated restaurant and the owners are so nice to me and my family. The owners always make an effort to chat with my aunt is in a wheelchair and has problems. It's really appreciated. All that and amazing pizza gets two thumbs up for me

    (5)
  • Kassie K.

I got lunch here today and then it took longer than I thought I won't so I don't get to eat it all. If they there fast than it would have been better

    (2)
  • Andrew B.

Honestly, the family-operators are as dog-friendly as a restaurant in Florida can get. Lively staff, excellent food, and if you come here often; a family experience. I cherish the banter between the staff and me and my wife and dog.

    (5)
  • Nick R.

Just had an outstanding pie here. Nice and clean with good prices. Fun to watch the guys toss pies behind the counter, reminds me of the old pizza parlors in Brooklyn. They crank the pies out here, from the time we sat until the time we left, the 2 guys behind the counter didn't stop making pies. Nothing will ever beat NYC pizza, but this place is the closest. Go here for a good pie and a cold beer.

    (5)
  • Minh D.

We have tried a number of pizza places over the years, IMO this place has the best NY style/thin crust pizza in Orlando. Looks like they have doubled their square footage since we last visited them. Great pizza, friendly service and very reasonable pricing. Will definitely come back again!

    (4)
  • Michelle P.

Love this place! Pizza and rolls are great, desserts are great. They carry Juniors cheesecake also. The prices are reasonable.

  • maha a.

We had NYPD pizza first day we arrived Orlando, and have had it 3 more times, if you're looking for authentic Italian pizza with an American twist this is your place. Think crust freshly baked dough. Kids loved it too. To bad we don't have them in Chicago! They also gave or kids Lollipops every visit! =)

    (5)
  • Natalia V.

Really good! Been there 5-6 times and I'm never disappointed. The calzones are amazing and the slices of pizza are HUGE. The staff is really lovely and nice. The garlic knots are the perfect appetizer. And the ice cream (They have a name for it, I always thought it was gelato but my boyfriend insists is not) is really good! Specially the blue raspberry one.

I have had pizza before from Ray's in NYC and NYPD pizza is as good as it gets. I know the main difference between Ny pizza and pizza anywhere else is the water. NY water is a lot different from all these other places around the country. I've heard rumors that NYPD pizza ships water from NY down to their locations to give it that authentic NYC taste. I absolutely love this place! You can beat their slice of the day deal; which is only $0.99 per slice! They also have a punch card here that has the calendar for the slice of the day, and if you get all 7 punches they give you a free 14" pizza! They have another deal called 2 for Tuesday where you buy one specialty pizza and you get a cheese pizza free. They are conveniently located across the street from UCF's Rosen College, so they have a ton of loyal customers that eat lunch between classes. The staff is incredibly friendly and the theme of the restaurant is pretty bad arse. I highly recommend the Alfredo Pizza, and as far as beer goes, my favorite is the Goose Island IPA.

    (5)
  • Travis L.

Great pizza potion especially if you are staying at Rosen and looking to get something off property. They have a couple of beers if you dine in or want something while you wait for carry out. Certainly work ordering from if you are looking for pizza in the area.

    (4)
  • Peter F.

Warm beer, bad service, cold pizza. I dont see what the fuzz is about

    (1)
  • Jonathan P.

There should be a "pizza police". For this guy to have a New York themed name and made up pies supposedly from across the five Boros and Madison square garden is a joke. The pizza is "ok". I have had worse in fl. But it is in no way a "New York" style pie. I presume the tourists believe the made up pies are really served in New York. Surprise. There Not. Service is great and it's a cool looking place that looks like it belongs in Orlando. Except for the fake plastic subway signs on the walls. any one can buy authentic ones on ebay. Overall it is a bad fake.

    (3)
  • Corey K.

Orlando has surpassed NYC for 5 star pizza joints. This is one that is on the forefront.

    (5)
  • Kira F.

Great pizza! On business travel in Orlando and felt like pizza. Yelp led me here. Ordered takeout. The lady that answered and took my order knows customer service! You could hear her smile through the phone. Why only four stars? I didn't dine in so I can't add that into the equation. Are you still reading this? Go get your pizza!

    (4)
  • Erin N.

Been here many times despite it being far from where we live. It's the best pizza I've had since I've lived in Central FL (13 yrs). Service is always friendly and fast, and most of all the pizza and garlic knots are great. I ordered their Greek salad yesterday for the first time and didn't like it at all...the lettuce was not fresh, and there were not enough olives. I wish they would improve upon their salads, yet despite this...still 5 stars!

    (5)
  • David F.

Family and I went there and got salads and a large Margherita Pizza. Entire experience was great. Friendly staff, attentive service and great pizza. All reasonably priced too. I was beginning to get disappointed in Orlando Yelp reviews. Down here fast food restaurants get 4 stars and some of the non-fast food places we visited missed the mark. However this place actually earned its stars....

  • Karen C.

OK so I am a pizza snob, being from the Northeast. Nothing is better than old fashioned (Lombardi's, Pepe's, etc) NYC or New Haven pizza. I was suspect of NYPD once I found out they were a chain. Pizza sauce was not my style (too many herbs & spices...I like the bare minimum San Marzano tomatoes) but the crust was actually pretty tasty, albeit a bit too dough-y to be NY style. Astoria Greek salad was nothing special either - again, I am spoiled by easy access to the best Greek salad in the real Queens NY (Nick's Bistro if anyone is wondering) That being said, the employees were super friendly and we had 5 star service on our visit. Love that they have local beers (Orlando Brewing Co) beers on the menu. Unfortunately the meal itself was just A-OK.

  • Alex S.

First time I've been here and I'm really mad at myself now because I realize what I've been missing. $1 slices from open to 4pm on weekdays. Small draft selection but there's something for everyone (shock top, angry orchard, goose island, etc). Great design and ambiance, very clean. Hot UCF student waitresses. And of course the pizza is delicious, thin crust and if you order by the slice they're quite large! Haven't tried anything except the baked ziti pizza yet, but can't wait to go back.

    (5)
  • Megan C.

Great local spot with deliciously unique pizzas. Love the pepperoni roll...you can't get it anywhere else! Awesome specials and $1 slice of the day slices on weekdays. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. They recently expanded and are much larger. Love it.

  • Caroline B.

Excellent -- ham and pineapple pizza single serving for $7 or slice of cheese for $2.

    (5)
  • Sylva D.

Went here today got a couple slices with some fries. The fries was good but the pizza was ummmm....okay I have had better. Slices where big but saucel could be better.

  • Arnold S.

Decent pizza. Better than the usual suspects around a chain driven area. Not great NY Style pizza though. Prices are ok. Delivery was prompt.

We are in out of town from Colorado. Had their 18 inch pizza and garlic knots. Pizza was great and knots are so good!!! Would highly recommend this place!!!

    (5)
  • Felix L.

Pizza did not satisfied me but wings did. Funny but their wings are better than the wing places. This place offer varieties in terms of sauce for wings. I do know a wing place offer better puzza. They should changed their store signs.

  • Ryan B.

Great pizza, great deals and great people! Hit up twofer Tuesdays and buy a pie get a pie free!

    (5)
  • Kaydee O.

Thank you fellow yelp* users ... Because of great reviews, my family and I decided to try this out and we were definitely not disappointed!! The pizza crust was just thin enough with the right amount of crunch and tasty toppings. The garlic knots are soft, warm, buttery bits of heaven!! Staff was super friendly and attentive. Will be going back again before the end of our vacation for sure.

  • John H.

Been here more times then I care to count. I have never been disappointed. During week days they offer the slice of the day for lunch. It's 1.50 per slice and changes each day. I'm greedy and get 2 but 1 is plenty. The pizza itself is great. A good menu. Plenty of variety. The dough is actually my favourite part. Cooked to perfection consistently. It's a family run location and everyone there is extremely polite and pleasant. Don't miss out!

Pizza is good, but doesn't make up for the terrible service. This is our second time. Wanted to give it a second try as anyone can have a bad day. But they sit you down and then forget about you. 50 minutes to wait for a cheese pizza is hardly reasonable and the pizza is still not here. Tried getting the waitresses attention, she keeps ignoring us. Becomes especially irritating when you are here with a hungry family with kids.

This place is pretty great. I went with my family one night (which includes two under two years) and felt super comfortable. My oldest was given coloring supplies (my youngest was offered, however he'd just have eaten the crayons) which kept her nice and quiet. I had a reasonably priced Shock Top. We ordered the largest pesto pizza, which was almost perfect. It was super fresh, but just a bit thinner than I prefer. I love the fact that you can SEE them making the pizza from your table (okay, to be honest my paranoid husband likes this more than I do), and everyone I saw wore gloves and seemed extremely sanitary. The service was decent as well. They even have lollipops near the take out area which I thought was a great touch.

Amazing pizza and amazing garlic rolls! I had perfect service and they delivered to my hotel! They were really nice throughout and the driver was very helpful. I will order again before I leave!

Found this place while on vacation. Did take out one night and its was delicious. So good we went back the next night with a party of six. Great service and once agin the food was so good. Some ordered pizza some ordered pasta, also some appetizers. No complaints and the price was responsible

In Orlando for the weekend and was looking for something that was not in a heavy touristy area. Looked up yelp and this looked like the place to go. So the wife and I stopped in and I felt like I was at home when I lived in NYC. It is a small place but in NY what would you expect. Well I was in a mood for pizza even though there was a lot of other options to choose from. We ordered the meat pizza but added onions. The pizza was just ok. Being originally from NY this wasn't close. Mind you it was still good just expected more. I will say it is still better than the chain pizza places.

Definitely a great place to go for pizza. Always enjoy coming here, sometimes we will even drive out of our way to come here. They just expanded their dining room and it is great. I highly suggest trying this place if you're in the area and like some good pizza

  • Morgan M.

This pizza place is right across from my school so I'll always stop in for some beers and pizza after class. Every time I go, the service is wonderful and the pizza is fantastic. So far I've only had their cheese pizzas and their garlic knots but top that off with a pitcher of Shocktop and it's the best meal of my day. Everything is so yummy without being too over the top with grease and garlic. Every time I'm in there the owner stops by the table to see how everything is going. Great customer service!

  • John O.

I don't know about NY pizza but it's pretty good. Still more chicago then NY but ok all around. Had the garlic rolls and fried rav both which are good, sauce cults be thinner and garlic knots need more garlic but overall good experience

Ate here while on vacation. Our waitress recommended the buffalo wing pizza and it was awsome! Loved it. The kids had the cheese pizza and it was great as well. Service was wonderful restaurant was clean. Definitely recommend it.

NYPD was much needed after our 10 hour drive to Orlando. Fast delivery to our hotel. They will bring paper plates and napkins upon request. Don't forget the garlic knots.

My family are here yesterday. We shared a pepperoni pizza which was very good. I had the leftovers for lunch and they also warmed up well. It wasn't too chewy like some pizzas get. Service was so so. We did not see the waitress after receiving or food. The table next to us was checked on multiple times as we sat waiting on a check and the waitress seemed annoyed when we called her. I assume they were friends of hers?

The pizza was cold and chewe. Very little cheese. I expected more based on the reviews, but I guess I should not !!

I've only experienced their food through delivery, but I have to give them a shoutout because of a great experience I had yesterday. Seven of us from my work made a big lunch order. We do this often and some places are better about getting the order correct and delivering it on time than others. This is the first time we've ordered from them on our team, and after hearing rave reviews from coworkers, we decided to give it a shot. Not only was the food delicious, the delivery arrived when they said it would and not one item was left behind! The person I spoke to on the phone was very patient and polite and the delivery person was also really nice and helpful. We ordered a ton of food, from pizza to garlic knots to calzones, and all of it was delicious and received rave reviews. Based on what we had, I'd definitely recommend the following: *Garlic knots- These were AMAZING. Soft, delicious, and huge. We loved them. *Chicken wings- Not at all greasy, perfectly done, and with a little kick! *Meatballs- We had meatball pizza, and it was great. *Calzones- These were enormous and feed at least two people, if not more. We will definitely order from them again!

This is the best NYPD ever!! What a great family run business. I love everyone there. This family pulls together and they all have a wonderful personality- and the food is great too. I will miss this NYPD when I move to the other side of town.

Amazing pizza! Amazing service! I recommend this place if you're in the pizza mood. Their pizza definitely reminded me of how my family's restaurant makes them.

Was in Orlando for a canvention/trade show and used Yelp (but of course) to find a local thin crust pizza place. Based on reviews I decided to give this place a try and man what a great pie! Was able to watch it made while I hung out at the small (3 stools) bar - hand tossed and baked (not wood fire) and take back to my hotel. Great dough, just the right amount of spice in the sauce. On another night where I had some drinks and appitizers that were suppose to be dinner, and went back again, and just about ate a whole small (not personal) pizza - thats great pizza!

  • Nick G.

Being from NY, I am always on the search for good pizza. I tried a pie here, all in all pretty good. Still a little doughy and fast foodish, but it had a good taste. Next time I would ask for the pie well done to make it crispier. The staff was extremely friendly, they even showed me my pie before I paid for it. I would eat here again.

  • Noah N.

This place is the joint! Start with the very engaging , genuinely warm lady upfront at the helm ( Cheryl ) who happens to be one of the owners ( I found out ) . So charming! You couldn't ask to feel any more welcome. It's no wonder they are so popular. Now the Pizza! I'm originally from NYC. Their pizza rivals the pizza from NYC and earns the name NYPD hands down. That stuffed pizza was amazingly delicious. Their secret aside from a great tasting pizza, is the crust. Inexplicably delicious to the last bite. Be warned , you will be back, again and again and again.

  • Ilovesoup S.

I tried pizza by the slice here. The crust is nice and thin, and the sauce is pretty good, the Italian sausage was delicious as well. I'm not a pizza connoisseur, but I thought that the side of marinara I got was a bit too sweet, and also didn't like that the onions were raw on the pizza, and not baked with the pizza. And also since I did "take out", my pizza was kinda cold... but I guess that's expected from take out sometimes? I think they would've kept it warm till I came or something. I wouldn't let a customer leave with cold pizza. But I did think that the staff was courteous, and fast. I liked their pizza, but there are others that I have liked better. However, its still a pretty good slice if you're in the area and craving pizza. My favorite pizza place in town is still brick and fire on orange avenue.

Excellent food and service. Now they are expanding their seating area. I like coming here because it's off the beaten path of international drive so there's not a ton of traffic when we do go. The staff is very friendly. The pasta is awesome and the menu is pretty big.

  • Chris K.

First time here. Pizza is as close to real NY/NJ pizza you'll find in Florida, well Mezza Luna in Palm Coast is better. Any who. Hunter our server was great, very attentive even tho they seemed busy.... If ever in the area again we ll be back....

  • Benny C.

The only reason that this place is getting a five-star review is the fact that the staff there is pretty amazing. It has a very "mom and pop" feel to it, you can definitely see it by how the restaurant has its regulars and have a deeper relationship level than the average customer-vendor relationship. It's a really good place to go for lunch, especially if you're in the hospitality college across the street. The food is good too, unfortunately I am not a fan of the specialty pizza's, but my roommate is, and he says it's great, so I'll take his word. It's also fun to watch them make the pizza, I am always amazed by how the dough never rips.

Definitely thankful for Yelp reviews. This place was GREAT for pizza delivery to a hotel! Got in after Universal closed and called to order. The gentleman on the phone was incredibly nice and helpful. He took time to answer my questions and help me order the right amount of food, and sent plates and napkins. The food arrived in 30 minutes, still steaming hot. The NY style pizza was great. My only mistake was ordering extra cheese. Not needed! The 18" was definitely enough for four adults, just as I was told. We also had the garlic rolls. They were bready and not overly garlicky. Best part was the pizza sauce served with the rolls. Yum!! Kids also loved everything. Definitely will order here again if back in the area. Highly recommend (and I don't give five stars lightly)!

This place was great. The cheese calzone had an immense amount of mozzarella and ricotta. I should have shared it not gorged myself on its massive gooey goodness. To top it off they cover it with a garlic butter.

Owners/employees are very friendly here. Pizza is awesome, and probably the best delivery pizza you can get anywhere around here. Not only that, but their desserts are great, their apps are very tasty, and I have seriously never had anything bad here. Can't help but leave 5 stars on this one.

The staff was friendly and the food was great. Limited seating but we came at a good time. Wings were crispy and full of flavor add the pizza had fresh dough and toppings. The price is right so don't miss this one.

  • Keith K.

It lived up to the recommendation. The server (Samantha) was excellent, the pizza was good and I also tried a side salad (just basic stuff) and an order of hot wings which were also good. As a NY style (thin) pizza lover, this was nice. I would come back to this place when I am in the area and feeling the need for pizza!!

The closest thing I've found to pizza from the northeast...excellent ingredients cooked properly, and great service. I've been there many times, and have never been disappointed. It is a family run business where they get to know their customers on a name basis.

Fantastic.Cheap price but not cheap pizza. I usually come in for lunch and get the special. You can't beat $5 for two slices and a drink. Another dollar for pepperoni. I drop it at least once a week. The gentlemen who usually works the counter is very nice, fast, remembers customers, and kinda woofy.

A little on the pricier side but I'd rather pay the extra for a decent pizza

  • Joe N.

I have eaten here before in the restaurant. The pizza and service were awesome. Today I placed my first order for delivery. It was an absolute disaster. Not only that but it showed me something about the management team and owner. I ordered a pizza with some pepperoncini's some crushed red pepper some Parmesan and some garlic butter on the side, all the things you would want to eat with your pizza. Since I was staying in a hotel I also ordered some plates. When the pizza was delivered, none of the additional items which I was assured would arrive by the girl who took the delivery order were delivered. I called the store and talked to the manager and was informed that the driver forgot to bring the extras. And that it would be another five minutes before he brought them back. When he arrived he arrived with no pepperoncinis or garlic butter, again things you like to eat with your hot fresh pizza. I called the location again and spoke with Katie the manager. I explained that these little side items were very necessary to enjoy the pizza as they are the same things that I would have if I were in the restaurant. I explained my pizza was now cold. I asked for another pizza and the original items that I ordered. She went to check with the owner. I was told that they would bring the pepperoncini's and the garlic butter on the third attempt to get it right but no fresh pizza to make it right. Bottom line, don't put any faith in their delivery service. Or for that matter the owners desire to make anything right for a customer. Their pizza is very good but not something that my life would be diminished by living without. I will never buy pizza there again.

I am from NY. I love pizza. I miss "real" pizza. My boyfriend has told me about this place for ages, and I was skeptical, but we finally went for lunch the other day, and I couldn't have been more impressed! First off, how can you beat a 99 cent slice of pizza, especially when the slices are as big as they are? The slice of the day when we went was stuffed mushroom and pepperoni, and it was so yummy. Their garlic knots are awesome, the best I've had since moving to Florida. Yay! Most importantly, though, I noticed on the menu something called an "Oneonta" slice. Having gone to college in Oneonta, I couldn't help but hope that is was what we called "cold cheese pizza" during my time in school, and I was right! They top the slice with more shredded mozzarella after it comes out of the oven, and it's soooo good. Makes me miss college a little bit more. It's a good thing there isn't an NYPD closer to my house or my diet would be totally ruined. As it stands, this will definitely be one of our go-to cheat meals when we're craving something bad for us.

Nice clean atmosphere with two TVs and NFL channel which was cool, but I had the pizza and it was just decent. The crust was forgetful and they skimped on the cheese. Very nice and competent server. Really looked forward to this place due to all the great reviews. Pizza was 2 stars, service and atmosphere 4 stars.

Really good food! Service wasn't fantastic, but the place was busy. Food is a good size and prices aren't bad. $6.99-$8.99 for a sub or pizza roll. Marinara is good, and I'm picky about my red sauce. Nice pizza place. Would recommend.

Vacation with family, NYPD Pizza was right in front of our condo. My kids loved the atmosphere, watching cook spinning pizza dough. Food was New York style, good taste. Being New York pizza spice is not over the top, but there was plenty of hot peppers, garlic and parmesan available on tables. The garlic knots were very good and the marinara sauce was fantastic. Nice place, good service, pricing was reasonable.

Great pizza when you're in the area. It's located in the same parking lot as Publix. The take out pizza was a thin crust New York style.

  • D B.

Excellent food/service. Waitress was very polite and clearly enjoys her job. Place is clean and decor is very inviting for families or young couples. So glad we didn't go to pizzeria UNO or local tourist traps. Disney/universal studios visitors you will not be disappointed. Staff also washes hands with soap and use gloves. If on a budget, try family deal for $20. It's includes 8 knots which are NOT greasy and perfectly seasoned. 4.5 stars as in my opinion, only Lou Malnatis from Chicago is better for deep dish pizza.

This is a friendly, small pizza-chain, that is growing in the Orlando area, located across the street from the Rosen College. Unfortunately, that is all they have going for them. The environment is pleasing, well-kept, and clean; leaning towards more of a modern-bistro/sports bar concept. The place is small nonetheless. As for their pizza, it is wayyy OVERPRICED, for the quality of food. A normal pepperoni slice runs for nearly $4, and a small personal pie tops $8.50 easily, ohh yeah, no drink included. For this amount you'd expect a decent-sized portion, but all you get is flat, ordinary pizza. Not very tasty at all. Not to mention, that the crust and pie were stale and rubbery, a sign of cheap dough, and even worst electronic ovens. It wasn't overly greasy, but the overall quality of toppings and sauce, left much to be desired. Tuesday is the day to go, with their buy 1 get 1 free deal, only time its actually worthwhile to order here. This was a real letdown, considering that they use New York in their logo, it really doesn't even come close to authentic NY pizza. It's sad to see such a small chain, already mass-producing sub-mediocre product, all for the benefit of growth and expansion. But they'll probably do well, since they're surrounded by several hotels and thousands of students. I guess it's rather hard to come across a decent pizza-shop these days, especially in Orlando. But hey, at least they were friendly and very attentive, which is another rarity in America today.

  • Ron W.

Really great pizza in a nice environment. Atmosphere is fun - almost makes you feel like your at an NYPD station! Their pizza is IMHO a little over priced, unless you go on Tuesdays when its buy 1 pizza get 1 free. Their calzones are HUGE and don't disappoint. The location is kinda small and feels like the tables are all very close together, but the service is fantastic.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
