I have to admit, it's hard for me to leave 5 starts on a place, but Nino's pizza definetly hit the spot. Not only is freshly made, but you are actually able to taste real home made pizza. The garlic knots where amazing, so much garlic on top, I would totally recommend you to get some. I order the special #2 , its a large pizza + 12 garlic knots, I think it's the way to go. To finish this review I want to clarify that this was my first time at the restaurant, and ! They have this cool loyalty card thing, your 12th pizza is free ! So don't hesitate ! Don't trust any other review like I did, jump on the train and enjoy a taste of real Italy !

Best pizza in town. Friendly service and 10th pizza free. Crust is the right amount of crispy with a nice warm soft center.

The pizza here is always good. I recommend the Nino's special. The pizza here have an almost NY style taste to it. I've had the Stromboli and it tasty too! The service is always nice and Nino the owner and the one making the pizzas is always friendly.

Working late, grabbed a pizza here since it's right next to my workplace. I've driven past it every day for a year without thinking to stop in but now that I have, I'll be going back. Nice people, amazing pizza. Very very reasonable prices. Awesome!

Marone!! Amazingness. Thanks yelp. I never would of known this place was 3 miles from my house. I'm picky about my pizza. I refuse to deal with the schifosa employee at papa joes anymore. So it was off to Carmela's. But wanting to see what else was out there, we decided to yelp pizza, and found Nino's. Kind of like the little pizza places up north, small and cozy, decorated with some Italian art work, red and green benches, and several tables in the middle. We ordered a 16 inch pizza and garlic knots with a side of marinara sauce. We saw they had zeppole there too and got excited. But i guess there was a issue with the deep fry and we werent able to order any. I think Carmela's sells zeppole but they arent very good and dont taste anything like the ones up north. The pizza and garlic knots were great. The pizza wasnt to greasy, it was slightly crisp like it should be. Next time Im ordering 2 sides of marinara with the garlic knots. Because that sauce is to good and the container is to small. We are definitely coming back. And if the Zeppole are as good as I hope then we found a new favorite place. Sadly since we eat mostly healthy we wont be having pizza to often. But when we do its Nino's Oh ya. And chances are when you place your order you will be giving it to Nino himself. So thats good, your dealing with the owner. Who is friendly and will strike up good conversation. Mangia Mangia! Ps: I read in another review around winter time they had closed at 7pm temporarily so they were never able to eat here. Yelp shows they are open till 9pm. But this is incorrect. They do still close at 7pm.

Anyone who rates this place more than two stars 1. Has Never Been to new york 2. Has Never been to Chicago. 3. Thinks pizza hut is edible. 4. Is a family member of the owners. I hate to do this, but I can't stand being misled on yelp and this place was a big fail. I'm a foodie and love good food. I'm not only upset that I wasted my money here, but I wasted my appetite. The garlic knots were hard as rocks. The pizza sauce was bland and scarce. The pizza was reminiscent of cardboard. I'm from Chicago and we take pizza very seriously. The staff was friendly, but they got our order wrong and made one pizza with no toppings on it at all?? After tasting their other pizzas, I wouldn't guess that this was a fluke. If you like average, mediocre pizza, then you'll love this place. Make sure to check your box before you leave. When we called back to have our order fixed, they were closed 30 minutes later and we were left to petition an answering machine. The family members are rating this place 5 stars. Beware. Shame on the reviewer from italy. What a send off.

Because they close at 7 pm they decided not to answer phone at 6:30. I called 8 times...

My friend and I went today and loved it! The staff was so friendly and nice. Our food was delicious. I got a Stromboli and the man rolled out the dough right when I ordered it! My friend got spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs tasted so good and had just the right amount of texture and spice, and you could tell that the marinara sauce was homemade. We will definitely be returning to this place!

After having read 5 star reviews for Nino's, we had to try it. The pizza is definitely 5 stars and it did remind me of being back up north. We had a large pie and it was cooked to perfection. It was slightly burnt on the bottom, the way its supposed to be. The reason I cannot give it 5 stars is the service when you dine in. We arrived and we sat ourselves after wondering why no one had greeted us. We sat at the booth for a good 10 minutes and began wondering if they had waiters or waitresses. We saw the staff walk back and forth but no one came over to us. A man finally came over and asked us what we wanted and we placed the order. He told us to serve ourselves when it came to the fountain drinks and we did. The pizza maker, who I will assume is Nino, brought us delicious Garlic knots and we devoured those. The pizza was brought over soon there after and Nino checked in on us to make sure we were satisfied. I paid at the counter after assuming that's what people do here and we were off. All pizzerias I've been to here and up north generally have some kind of waitstaff. I do recommend the Pizza, especially if you're looking for real NY Style.

Well I have read all the reviews. Mostly everyone loved it. A few had negative remarks. I understand everyone's taste is different and expectations may be very high after the reviews, but no way can I agree with some of the Harsh remarks. I have worked in the area for 22 years and struggled to find a good, let alone very good restaurant. Nino's to me reaches that platform. The Crust is hand made. Fresh and Cooked to perfection. I seriously could go there just for the crust alone, it is so good. The multitude of styles pizza they make are incredible. The Taco Pizza, The Cheese Steak, so many to choose from including awesome white pizzas. As for as I can tell ,all the ingredients are fresh made in house except sausage, and it its top quality. Maybe I am a dumb southerner, but This southerner loves NINO;s.

This is by far some of the best NY pizza I've ever had. Before I visited I checked the yelp reviews. I saw the reviews about the hours changing so I called ahead and verified they were open for lunch. I had two slices of pepperoni pizza and a Mountain Dew. Every bite of the thin crust pizza was crunchy and greasy... it was amazing. Crushed ice in my drink just finished it off perfectly. Definitely come here if you are in the mood for some amazing NY style pizza!

  • Will R.

Definitely know what they are doing when it comes to pizza. 7 years in Central Fl and began to wonder why it was so difficult for someone to make good NY style pizza that wasn't wet and soggy. We had the veggie pizza and ranch chicken. Both very good. Can't get a beer with your pizza here. Would have given it 5 stars if I didn't have to wrap my hand around the bathroom door knob to open, lift the trash lid myself and struggle with a small cheap faucet handle just to use it. Enough said. Four star due to the strikeout in the washroom facilities and no beer. If you want take-out then you can't go wrong. Location is kept pleasantly cool.

Life is too short to be tricked into eating bad pizza. Do not believe the votes here. We were so excited to try this placed and we certainly got a surprise. Cheese like plastic. Crust like wet cardboard. Garlic knots like rocks. It made two of our friends physically sick and I'm still having nightmares. It was just tragic. Tragedy. Do not do it. The most confusing thing was all the high-star positive reviews until I realized several were given by friends and family of the owner. This misleading, misuse of the heart of what yelp is supposed to be was perhaps the most devastating. I really trusted yelp and will have to be much more careful because we wasted almost 60 dollars on this dog food. :( .

One of the best pizza crusts I have ever tasted. When I read that this place offered authentic NY style pizza in Orlando, I was skeptical to say the least. Normally any claims that a restaurant offers something that tastes authentic to any region is a kiss of death. Fortunately, Nino's more than delivers. The other reviews are pretty much spot on with this one. Nino's is easily the best pizza I have eaten in Orlando. The crust is fantastic and the toppings are all high quality. Just an all around great pizza. As for the service, I can honestly say it has been great every time I have been there. The staff has always been friendly and attentive each time I have visited. Overall, if you are looking for great pizza do not hesitate to give Nino's a try.

Ninos at first glance seemed to be a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, on the corner of a dark street. However, entering the restaurant, you are met with kind and courteous staff and owners, and great food, especially the garlic bread! You must try it! My only gripe was that the sausage didn't appear to be the freshest when I got it, but to be fair, I went there towards closing time and it wouldn't really be considered "fresh" in about 2 hours. All in all, Nino's is worth the visit and worth the money for the food, just be there earlier in the day. Great work to the staff at Nino's! I look forward to returning next time I'm in the area.

Gotta say.... "This place has AMAZING food!!!!". The owner is my cousin, so I was excited for them to move to Orlando from NY. So, as an Operations Manager for my husband's business of Home Inspections, I was giving a presentation to Realtors at a Real Estate office and brought in some Catering from Nino's. All Realtors LOVED the food I brought in, the pasta was cooked to perfection and full of flavor, not to mention those delicious garlic knots... AWESOME!!!! Everyone in the office was asking me about the location and wanting to go to Nino's. You will be very happy to go have a taste! Nothing better than genuine NY Style Pizza and quality prepared food!!!! Enjoy!!!

First of all may I remind you that I am Italian and my parents are from Italy. I grew up in an Italian restaurant. My experience here was awesome. The crust was truly ny style. Perfect crisp and texture. The pizza chef is from Sicily so he knows his stuff. He greeted us and talked with us and was very freindly. The toppings were fresh, high quality and authentic. We had a meat pizza and a cheese pizza. The cheese is high quality. The prices are very reasonable. This is definitely the best pizza I've had in florida. Definitely give it a try!

Every once in a while you luckily stumble across one of those little jewels of a restaurant where they use top quality ingredients, the food is crafted by hand with pride and the prices are unbelievably reasonable... especially for generous portions. Well, in my case one just fell in my lap. How's that for luck? Going on 15 years ago I relocated my business to a strip center near Lockhart. Since that time, the restaurant on the corner of the building has changed several times. It has been everything from a sub shop to Greek deli to a hot dog counter. All have come and gone with little interest. Now that Nino's Pizza has arrived it's got everybody in the center is talking about the food and it's easy to see why. The dough for his Pizzas, Strombolies, and Calzones is made by hand. It is as good as it gets... all made fresh daily. It has a wonderful flavor with a crisp crust and a delightful tender, yet chewy interior. There is no skimping on quality of the other ingredients. The pizza cheese is top quality whole milk Mozzarella, all the toppings are fresh and hand prepared. The same quality extends to the ingredients in the salads, subs, pastas, and dinners. The quality of the food is as good as a high priced Italian restaurant. The type you need reservations for. I had the shrimp Fra Diavolo the other night. The shrimp were large succulent and precisely cooked, tender and juicy... no rubber to it. (It's delightful to eat properly cooked shrimp.) The linguini was wonderfully andante. The sauce was hot... that's because I wanted it that way. Yep, they will ask you how you like your food. But don't expect that haughty atmosphere here. The place feels like they have been waiting for you to come home all day. The moment you walk in you are greeted by a genuine smile and a casual comfortable atmosphere. They want you to feel part of the family. They already know I have a taste for Basil. I add it a lot to my toppings... so they ask me if I want extra Basil on my stuff every time I order. This is my kind of place.

This place is right around the corner from us and the pizza is absolutely delicious - when they are open. It is really strange but they are never open during their advertised hours. We have gone to get pizza here 9 different times, and they have only been open twice. This includes 6pm on a Saturday, 2pm on a Sunday, 7pm on a Friday, 7pm on a Wednesday, Noon on a Saturday and other times in between. More often than not, whenever we drive by their lights are out. How do you stay in business when you are never open? If you are going to advertise hours, you need to make an attempt to be open during those hours. We would eat here frequently, but have given up.

Pizza is amazing, guys are great, definitely a true NY pizza joint! Went here following paintball for my son's birthday. We had a group of 10 including my wife and I. Looked for a good pizza joint on yelp near the paintball course and Nino's came up. It is in a small shopping plaza, but very easy to find. They were very accommodating to us and let us put some tables together. The guys were great, very friendly, and welcoming. If you dine-in just know this is not a fancy joint, not a huge staff, and the easiest way to think of it is that you are in their kitchen eating. They serve you as they can get to you and treat you like family. Great for sit down, family style, have a great time, good conversation, and atmosphere place. NOTE: If you are in a hurry, get take out The food is amazing, authentic NY style. We ordered 3 large pizzas and a couple of dozen garlic knots. The pizza was the best I've had in a long time with fresh, quality ingredients done right at a very fair price. The pizzas were huge, we had teenagers with us and still took half of what we ordered home. I wish we lived closer. I cannot say enough about how much this place surprised me and worth your time. You won't be disappointed!

This little restaurant was amazing. The food was spot on and the owner and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Reading the previous reviews is what made our family try the restaurant. We don't usually eat dessert but we had to leave with the cannolis.

I have had good pizza and this place serves some of the best I've had. I took my family there and we had a great time. The owners were good and I think they are going places. However there are a few things that might become a challenge. The location isn't quite good since its located right on an intersection and almost tucked away. This makes it hard for cars to stop or turn because they can easily miss the turn off. But be that as it may the food is still great and makes up for it. The first time I've had a vegan pizza and it was amazing. Look I'm a big guy and I never thought it would be good. Its so good it'll make you want to order more. Oh, the prices are good considering. And they have so many specials you'd be back to get more.

Baked Ziti Pizza - Amazing. As good as you can get in Orlando. Don't let the neighborhood dissuade you. It's worth a ride.

Loved the pizza and loved the atmosphere! We just moved here from NY and Nino definitely has NY pizza down. The staff is welcoming and friendly too. If you're looking for the real deal, look no further than Nino's. The toppings and cheese were perfectly balanced and the sauce was tangy and flavorful. I saw a little fresh oregano sprinkled on the pie right before it went in the oven, yum! The crust is soft and foldable with good flavor. We'll be returning early and often!

Best pizza in the area & I love supporting a small local business. They appreciate their customers & everything is made with quality ingredients. My test is always mushrooms & the mushrooms they put on their pizza are fresh (not canned). The dough is delicious!

  • Shade C.

Bad pizza. Very friendly staff. .. but really bad pizza. I'm sorry. The ratings here are very misleading. I don't understand how this rating is high. It's a shame we spent so much money here. The Chile wings were good. But that's really about all. I would never go back and do not recommend if you like quality food. This may be ok for people who are just hungry and don't really care about taste flavor or texture. But it's pretty mediocre.

Nino's has kept me going back once a week, I mostly have the pizza because its so darn good but I decided to try the lasagna the other day and it was so worth every bite. Very tasty indeed and I had to take a loaf of their famous bread home with me. If you haven't gone here yet, What the heck are you waiting for? Try it I promise you will love it here.

Super-friendly and family-owned restaurant. Buffalo chicken pizza was made to order and delicious. Mine had just the right creamy cheese and spicy chicken combo. A mild version is also available. Lots of other non-pizza items on the menu. This is also one of the few places around that makes its own tiramisu.

Wow! Outstanding! We just had the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. The chicken is excellent, high quality meat, the sauce was tremendous, but the deal-maker is the crust. Hands-down the best pizza I have had in Orlando.

Having moved recently to Central Florida from the NE, I have been really disappointed in the pizza selections. I've tried many restaurants and none were worth going to again. Last night my family and I decided to check out Nino's after reading the reviews. We ordered lasagne, garlic knots, and pepperoni pizza - everything was absolutely fantastic and we will definitely be going back soon. When you go (and you should), be sure to get the garlic knots. So good!!

    (5)
  • Tim C.

Definitely worth the drive! Garlic knots are amazing! We came here from Philadelphia via a resort on Intl Drive while visiting Disney with the kids. Pizza was terrific, salad was great, fresh lettuce and veggies. Absolutely five stars. For anyone who is a pizza snob including anyone from New York, make sure to make the trip. Mange!

  • Charles R.

The food here is amazing no matter what you get. There is a huge selection and priced right. Lunch or dinner you can't go wrong here. They make you part of their family while you are here. If not call ahead and order it and in a few minutes you too can experience New York pizza at its best.

    (5)
  • Judy S.

New York pizza as good as I have ever had in the Big Apple! You will love the atmosphere and the owners as much as the pizza! I can't wait to try their scallop, chicken, shrimp, and veal creations for dinner and their multiple assorted pasta dishes and salads. They have delicious-looking appetizers and kid-sized portions, too. The cannoli, cheesecake, and tiramisu look heavenly! Delicious Pizza!!!

  • Cat H.

Amazing food, I was really quite impressed. I thought it was just a pizza place but they have a full dinner menu as well. I had the Eggplant Parmesan and it was so delicious I am going to have to waddle out of here!

We decided to try the pizza here after reading all the good reviews. Let me tell you we were not disappointed at all. Pizza was awesome, as well as the Stromboli. I broke down and had to try a cannoli, all I can say is they are soooooo good. Definitely will be a favorite for us.

Didn't get a chance to eat there, as they have a sign posted for new winter hours as of 1/1/2014- they close at 7pm FYI. I'll try back again, just wanted to update on the new seemingly temporary hours.

Being a New Yorker, the pizza at Ninos takes me home again. I love there pizza and the people there are just the nicest in the world. Go for dinner with the family and have the best pizza south of New York!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
