! Ni hao means hello in Chinese. This is a fairly typical Chinese restaurant. Pretty ok food at a pretty ok price. Not what you'd be eating in China, but hey- waddaya want for nothin? That's all I've got!

After moving here from living in in NY for 30 years & trying a bunch of places that claim to be New York style I just about gave up. It's not true to what I was used to but the best I've had here. I'm still looking though but this is it as of now.

Excellent Chinese take out food. Just as good at any nyc/NJ place. Had several dishes and all were tasty and portions were large. The hot and sour soup was spicier than I've ever had It, so be careful uses you like very hot.

Not bad. Decent chinese fast food. Pretty much what you would expect from your typical run of the mill chinese joint. If you have a hankering for chinese and you are out in east orange this place will do. YMMV.

Ni Hao declares itself a New York style Chinese food restaurant, but really what Chinese place doesn't make this declaration? While I cannot comment on the authenticity of it's New York-Chinese claims, I can say that Ni Hao offers some tasty Chinese fare at a low price. I really feel like a lot of these cheap, fast Chinese places begin to taste pretty much begin to taste like each other after a while. Ni Hao does not necessarily do anything to make itself stand out from the rest. That is not to say that I don't enjoy what they have to offer. Their menu contains just about everything you come to expect from an Americanized Chinese restaurant, and does not disappoint. Both of the times I have been there my food has been consistently satisfying. It is definitely the type of place you take your food to go and enjoy in front a nice movie on the couch.

Food is excellent and the staff is very nice. I don't know what the first poster is expecting in a chinese restaurant about the staff.

These guys deserve a good review because they're good at what they are. For Chinese take out food, these guys are some of the best. They don't skimp on quantity, their quality is good, and so are their prices. They're also lightning fast. I don't think they take longer than 15 minutes for anything. What more can you ask from a Chinese take out place?

Food was great, last time we went they forgot 2 egg rolls, when we went back they gave us 4 for free and were very sorry about it. Good place with good service.

This restaurant shows up twice in yelp. There is no better Chinese in this area. They are fast and consistent which is great. They are also opened a little late so it makes for a great quick dinner after a long work/school day. My favorite dishes are the sesame chicken, orange chicken and bourbon chicken. The egg rolls are great. The fried rice is not that great.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
