This buffet takes the cake as the worst Chinese buffet I've ever eaten at. The only food that was hot was the soup. I was shocked to see people going back for seconds as everything was cold. Some of the meat had a very strange texture. The dumplings seemed like they had been left out all day. All I kept thinking about was food poisoning. The people that worked there were nice though! So there's that...

Not recommended! The food on the buffet counters were old, greasy, and appeared to have been there all day. Rice was hard and dry. Deserts were old as well. Quality was definitely bad!

This is what happens when you leave your iphone in Chicago and you are without your Yelp Mobile App in Orlando. It's a "Luke S." family tradition to find a Chinese buffet in every city in America and give it a whirl. I am not typically a hard critic, but this place was extremely disappointing. They charge $15.99 for dinner and I was there at 7pm (should be peak time), but all of the food tasted like it had been sitting out for days. Not a single item was changed or restocked while I was there and I didn't even get a refill on my iced tea. I can honestly say that this was the worst Chinese buffet that I have ever had and that is coming from a guy who has had more than anyone ever should! Not a good start to my Orlando trip. Luckily my wife will be here to join me with my Yelp App in a few days.

This place deserves .01 of a star, that's how awful the food tasted and looked. $15 for a dinner plus 15% service charge for a self-service buffet.? I don't think so. They had sliced sausages from grocery store, 3 slices on a stick and called it a dish? Snow crab legs is $3.00 extra per person and God knows how long those sorry looking legs been sitting there! Give me a break!. Nerver again, they can only fool you once.

We should have turned right around.after my 11yr old complained of bad smell as soon we sat down. As soon as you pick up your plate and walk to buffet your mind begins to wonder what you got yourself into. You can only hold on to the slightest hope that it will somehow not taste as bad as it looks. You kinda walk around passing on each nasty looking tray and just cannot even muster the courage to put it on your plate. No one in our party of four ended up being gutsy enough to return to table with more than two carefully chosen items they deemed safe enough to even try. Two servers argued in confusion.as they kept bringing us the wrong drinks (which they never got right anyway). This allowed just enough time for fear of taking that first bite two grow as intensive as one preparing to take first leap out of plain to skydive. One by one we attempted to take some nibbles at what was on our plates. It tasted even worse than expected. Meat did not even chew right. The rest tasted toxic. We got up to take a shot at scrounging through buffet one more time in vain but each returned empty handed and saddened to admit we were scammed. A server came out of nowhere blocking the table with our bill in hand. With no care to hear our admittance of the obvious fact that we could find nothing to eat, she said rudely "that be $77 (for 4 of us!) you want I add tip to credit card?" She nearly demanded it in anger when we said we would tip with cash later. She came back with slip to sign and repeated "you know that not include tip?" I finally yelled "are you actually going to just wait for tip?" As she stood blocking booth with money bag open. Sensing my growing anger and stare, she finally retreated. But not without mentioning tip one last time. As you can imagine we left her the precise tip deserved. Have to say this was worst dining experience in my 47 years. What a despicable place. Where are the health inspectors?

The food here was actually pretty decent and fresh at lunch. However, the service was awful. I know there is only a certain level of service at buffets but this was inexcusible.

We went there on a Friday night around 8-9. Surprisingly the food was fresh. They were stocking food and some of it was freshly made. I thought it was a great deal for a buffet. The deserts were good. Our server was excellent. He continuously checked on us and removed dirty plates as soon as we were done. The seafood was good, rice was hot, and food was tasty. Great buffet!!

I'm not hard to please at all, but this was worth writing about Bad selection, horrible presentation, service not good. I ate here because I had to choose a place to eat lunch quick. For my quick stay for lunch I didn't even know who server was, I saw two families walk out, there was no new food brought out even when food was so old it was burning at the bottom of the tray. Food was . Servers were ghetto, screaming across the restaurant. Travelers, stay away. They won't be open long

Where can I begin - this place is simply vomit inducing. And I mean that literally. I was up all night vomiting out the horrible food I consumed at this place, and on the toilet the better part of the next eliminating the remainder. We went to this place after a steakhouse we wanted in the same strip center had an hour+ wait to be seated, thinking it'd at least be quick. That was mistake #1. Once seated we were informed that the buffet was a horrendously overpriced $19 a person. There are no signs and they don't tell you that until you're already seated. We decided to stay anyway. That was mistake #2. Then we went to the buffet line. The food itself was up to par with the experience thus far, and by that I mean soggy lukewarm chicken, pork, and beef (or at least I hope it was sitting under hot lamps where they had been placed approximately 48 hours prior. We decided to proceed cautiously but eat nonetheless. That was mistake #3. Mistake #4 was not dropping a $20 bill on the table and abandoning our plates in place after biting into the substances on them masquerading as "food" and realizing how awful it was. I slogged through mine as best I could and ate about 4 pieces of what I presume to be chicken - although it may not have been - before concluding that I could proceed no further. Unfortunately it was already too late. Unless you like torturing your stomach and bowels, save yourself from this place. It makes the Golden Corral across the street look like a 5 star by comparison. And at least that won't leave you hugging the toilet all night.

I travel everyday for business and an "thrifty" traveler i look for good food at a bargain So a good Chines Buffet is always a good bet and i hit at least two a week , Now i give this four stars ,, and im usually a very harsh critic so i was surprised to see a lot of negative comments ,Maybe i just caught them on a good night who knows i found a great selection that was fresh and well prepared yes the dinning room is a little older but its way above average for the typical buffet .. the service was very good ,My only complaint ...and i find this at most Buffets is the temperature of the food some of the items were barely above room temp,Im told they do this so they can keep the food out longer without it drying out I would eat at this location again

Question i am asking is how can they make all the food tasteless. Even deserts It is astonishing how much food is wasted in this place. lots of food and nothing to eat actually.

Don't bother. Unless you want about 6 or so types of fish there is no point going. Nasty. Save your money and your stomach.

The food was dreadful. Dried out and horrible. I think the only good reviews must of came from the staff. Do yourself a favour and miss this place.

The food selection was decent like the other Chinese buffets that I went to, but the taste wasn't good at all. The food look like it has been sitting around for a few hours, they were dried looking. They had a few sushi selections and I think that was what I ate most, they weren't super good, but decent for a Chinese buffet. Place look clean and roomy. This is the first buffet that I went to that the waitresses didn't give us the check when we had desserts, I had to ask them for our check. Which is fine, just point it out that's all.

It's just OK. Located in a tourist area. Could get really crowded in lunch hour. Food is OK, just don't expect the authentic Chinese food

All you can eat, $13.99. Okay, now you know everything you need to know. Here's the story. It's become traditional on my business trips for there to be a "cheap night". There's usually a night or two where we show total contempt for corporate guidelines and eat like we're rich. Then we have a cheap night where we hope to bring ourselves at least close to our budget. In Chicago, we have Thai food at Singha. In San Francisco, it's a bowl of Pho in the Tenderloin. If I had to visit Orlando regularly, it might be Mei Asian China Buffet. To find it, look for the "China Buffet" sign on International Drive right by Charley's Steak House. It's not fancy. It's not tremendously flavorful. I couldn't tell the Sesame Chicken from the General Gau's Chicken. But It's $13.99 and it's fast. Oddly, in this "no waiting" environment, the fortune in my fortune cookie taught me how to say "to wait". Deng. Back to the review. Around 6PM they start streaming in. The mix of people was funny. Most of them, er, looked like they knew their way around Chinese buffets. These are people who know how to eat. Then there are a few retired people who arrive early and leave early. There's always a few families on a budget trip to Orlando with their horribly embarrassed 10-14 year old kids. There's at least one couple that might barely be 21 and it looks like it's their first real trip somewhere together. And then there are the 5 year olds. Totally out of control, screaming, and running around all the people at the buffet. Seriously, they're all here and you know why? Anyone? That's right. They're here for a $13.99 all you can eat Chinese buffet. So am I recommending it? If you want to save some money, and you're okay with it being a little less than fancy. Then yes, I'm recommending it. Look at it this way, you could eat here for dinner three nights in a row and it would be cheaper than one night at their neighbor, Charley's Steak House. That's an example, NOT a suggestion that you eat here for three consecutive nights. I'm recommending one night. That ought to do it. I'm giving it three stars because according to Yelp, 3 stars means "A-OK". They are exactly what you think they'll be. Oh, I came here for one other reason. I wanted an FTR while I was in Orlando. And this would do it.

Disgusting. The food ranged from fair to horrible. The place was dirty. Since it is near several hotels they must not count on repeat business or they'd go out if business. We suggested to our hotel staff to not recommend it.

HORRIBLE!!!!!! stay away if you value your stomachs. Horrible food! Shouldn't even be classified as food. I ate there since I was rushing to find a dinner place after I had a long tiring day at the airport. It is not clean and the waiters don't even clear your dishes. Horrible service. I ate about two things and felt like I wanted to vomit. Their ice cream was ok but the food was terrible. If your looking for a good place with good food, stay away from this place.

The sign outside says dinner buffet is $10.99, but after we started eating, we heard another customer arguing with the owner. It turned out that the actual prices was $11.99 or $13.99 depending on whether you eat their sad-looking snow crab legs. A strange arrangement that easily leads to disputes. Maybe the intense competition drove them to do things like this (China Jade is right across the street, the International Drive). The selection of the food is good among Chinese buffets, but by the time we were there (9:30 pm on a Sunday evening), there were only about 4 other tables in this relatively large place. As a result, maybe half of the dishes have been sitting there for so long under the heating lamps they have broken apart or dried up. They still bring new stuff out as dishes got finished, and those new ones are fine. Some telltale signs: They had 8 different flavors of ice cream, but those tubs have been sitting there probably for weeks since I found 4 - 5 chunks of golf ball sized ice in the vanilla tub. The salt shakers does not work, because the salt has absorbed so much moisture from the Orlando air and are visibly moist (and they have not bothered to dry them up or to replace the salt).

Dinner prices are REALLY high, but for lunch you can get the buffet and a soda for $10. The food is really good, and there is a good mix to choose from. I would definitely recommend!

Is it possible to give a place no stars? Well that's what I'm going to try to do. This place is TERRIBLE!! Do not go here, it is VERY EXPENSIVE. $14.99 just for buffet. Total rip off, the quality and quantity of food is rubbish, it was cold and what I can only guess is leftovers from a few days previous as a couple of dishes were definitely off and had gone bad.

  • Steve G.

ABSOLUTELY WORST MEAL I HAVE HAD IN SEVERAL YEARS! I am more pissed that 2 doors down is a 5 Star rated Turkish restaurant, and I was really undecided on what I wanted. This Chinese buffet seemed busy, so I thought what the hell. The one time I didn't check Yelp first! Go figure. Everything on the buffet that was not fried was friggin slimy looking! Seriously!! I mean just gross nasty. Against my better judgement I tried the Sesame Chicken, and I didn't see one damn sesame seed. Should have been my first clue that it was not going to be good. It was a gelatinous mess. They had fried plantains (yes in a Chinese buffet), and even they were nasty. Upset I went. More upset I didn't say anything while I was there. So far I didn't get Ill from the little I did have.

I have yet to find what the hype was about this place judging by how busy it was this Sunday. Desperate locals looking for a cheap meal or perhaps tourists unfamiliar with the area are in for a surprising treat of disgust. The food was absolutely disgusting. Most dishes were greasy and just lacking any flavor. Aside from the food, even the service was terrible. Our server seemed careless about refills and when she finally became aware of our attention, she took a water pitcher and slammed it on our table with a bad attitude. That is a shame. Definitely not coming back. Good luck to that business.

Don't go!!!!!worse awful food! Bad service! I am really not happen when I ate there this afternoon. The waitress gave me the bill when I ate 10minutes. What they want just want my money, don't want me eat? Shit!!! Never go there!!!!!

This place is nowhere what a Chinese buffet should be. There is no air conditioning in here and they have floor fans everywhere, the floor looks clean but it is way too hot in here. Also, the food is a 1 out of 10, fried chicken is swimming in grease in the buffet pan from not being strained enough from the fryer. Chicken broccoli? Think again, more like rubber and broccoli. The lo mien was good and the wonton is way too soft and is really old. The roach pic you see someone else posted is true because disgustingly enough, we had one walk slowly across our table sniffing our plates before he walked on my friends and started eating from it, the waiter came and we said there was a roach, he squashed the damn thing right in front of us on the plate and took the plate and walked away, no sorry, no nothing. The ice cream and desserts really do suck. This place does not belong in this district where they can rip off tourists, the cost to eat here is 20 bucks with the drink added to it, and they are requesting 22% gratuity added to the bill according to their sign. It's a buffet people! Tip 1-2 dollars max, they only refill your drinks and take your plates, you get your own food. If you need to just eat and do not care about quality or if you get sick after like we did, then have fun, but I have found better bar food at hole in the wall bars before.

连lemonade都难吃的餐厅能有几个? terrible food. DO NOT EVEN THINKING OF EATING HERE!!! As a chinese guy, I think this restaurant is poisoning me.

  • Lu X.

The service is OK. The place is not up to standard, but not outrageously bad for a Chinese buffet. The one thing I cannot stand is after the four of us finished our dinner, the waitress gave us a bill that already included a 15% tip. When I asked why they did this, she explained that a lot of Chinese tourists do not pay tips at all, so they added the pre-calculated tip themselves. Still I felt offended. Under no circumstances should we be forced to pay a tip.

    (2)
  • Steve A.

There's really nothing horrible about this Chinese buffet if your expectations aren't too high. The meat items are a bit questionable, but there are other choices that are okay. However our meal got off to a bad start when a roach crawled across the table, and I see from other reviews (and pictures) here that our experience wasn't unique, so perhaps best to go elsewhere.

AWFUL! disgusting , terrible food terrible service! it's crapy dirty, they tried to take TIPS 20% and argue with you if you don't! I didn't give them a dime! how they can still run this business ? is there sanitation requirement ? A SHAME RUN AWAY! when I told them about it they presented to not speak English

  • Mandi R.

This place absolutely sucks! The food was swimming in butter and grease, and they make it seem like they actually have crab legs. No, if you want crab legs it's three dollars extra per person, but nowhere is indicated on the sign outside nor on the menu. people of shady character wondering about, all of the people who know the restaurant owners walking in front of you practically pushing you out of the way, they can go where they need to go. The worst part was this family of eight people. They were rowdy and obnoxious, running around, kids pushing, kicking and fighting. But then, their kids were over by the ice cream and when they decided they had taken too much ice cream, they took their fingers and flicked off and into the ice cream containers! That had to be the most disgusting thing and my stomach immediately shut down. Food is room temperature at best and even the soup was a little bit offputting. I would never go to this place again even if it was the last restaurant on earth! Avoid at all costs!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
