I have been going to this restaurant for takeout for the last 5 years. It is your typical Chinese food joint with all your necessary staples. They never disappoint! Delicious and affordable!

So I decided after a night at Valencia East I needed a quick dinner and I thought yum wings! The wait was loonngggggggg I was second guessing but I had already paid for my food! So first things first be sure to ask for any extra ducks sauce and hot sauce because. They only give you like one of each! The wings were good and that pork fried rice was ok you get enough for 2 meals for $8.89 I got 5 wings the pork fried rice and an egg roll the egg roll was small.

THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT A PAST CUSTOMER!? ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES, STARK RAVING MAD EMPLOYEE (Owner?) I have eaten here in the past and vowed never to return because of the poor quality of service, food and atmosphere. I am not the only one I know who has been there once and never gone back. Firstly... We live in a no soliciting neighborhood (big signs on the entrances). It is also a crime to tamper with mailboxes. So yesterday my wife and I were leaving the house when we noticed a silver car with those silly, white and gigantic calligraphy decals on the windshield. They were putting something in people's mailboxes. I stayed parked in front of our mailbox so they couldn't get to it. When I started going around them after they passed us I noticed they were backing up... back to our mailbox; knowing full well that we did not want their advertisement. Here is what we discovered upon returning from our outing: They tied one menu to our mailbox (illegal), they placed another inside of our mailbox (illegal) they trespassed on our front lawn and tied one to our light post (illegal) and they put a 4th one in our bushes (also trespassing). I don't know about you but this seemed very insulting and vindictive to me. It is an excellent way to not get business I suppose. Feeling peeved, I decided to pay them a visit. When I walked in there was an Asian woman behind the counter. I was attempting to explain to her what her drivers had done. She was not allowing me to speak without interrupting me with gibberish. So.. plan B. I explained to her where I found each one before ripping each one up and tossing it on the floor. This had an affect. I have never heard "You a cwazee fuk" so many times. That's not even my last name! It was rapid fire. I never did have the opportunity to explain the error of her ways. She also had a little girl (like maybe 4-5 years old) standing next to her who seemed totally unfazed by this woman's behavior. I'm guessing this was the owner and her daughter. So... there ya go! Anyone that intentionally breaks the law while soliciting must have excellent food!

This place used to be so good. I don't know if they are under new management or what, but the quality has gone way down. My family and I moved to winter park and I've been getting food near me. The other night my usual place was closed so I thought Mayflower was a good idea, it wasn't. The shrimp lo main was bland, the boneless ribs overcomes, and the Cajun shrimp was too salty. It was just a disaster, I got horrible heartburn what ever it was. I've had the same thing near me at He Sheng and never had a problem.

Ordered sesame chicken, steamed dumplings and wonton soup today and it was awful the chicken smelled like garbage but thats probably because they used actual garbage instead of chicken there is no meat underneath the breading it wasn't chicken at all just garbage drenched in garbage sauce the soup where do I began I think wontons are supposed to be filled with meat as well but the amount of meat found in this soup adds up to the same amount of meat found on a starving rat and the rat was probably starving because it couldn't keep down the garbage they serve there and the steamed dumplings reminded me of skittles a cat I dissected in lab the way the connective tissue, sinewy texture and stench resembles that of a dead animal that defecated and died in the same spot. I will not be back.

We hate ordering from Mayflower. The only reason we break down and order is from exhaustion from our busy work hours. The woman is always rude, short, and rushes you so they always get SOMETHiNG wrong. Tonight though is the last time we will ever deal with these fools again. My husband called after and hour passed and was given the "he's on his in way" b.s. Then he calls again 15 minutes later and the woman again says the same thing, without even asking which order we're talking about. A few minutes after he hung up with her, she calls us back SCREAMING at my husband that the driver was here waiting of " a long time" and that he called but no one answers. Our phone never rang except when she called to yell, and come to find out the guy was new and hadn't realized he's lost so maybe he should have called. Never dealing with these people again, we found another place through yelp with a much better rating anyway. Food is always ehhh at best, and disgusting at worst. Pease don't waste your money or your time.

Terrible take out. 1st off - they send a menu to nearby houses with a 20% off coupon. Went to pick up the food as the flyer says and the rude lady says NO WE NO TAKE THAT. What?!? This is your flyer and you don't take it?? She was extremely rude. Also was charged a different price then quoted. The food was nothing special. Will NEVER Come back here. Under new management they say?? GOOD LUCK!

Right across the street from Florida Hospital East and a great place to head for a quick lunch. The General Tso's chicken is actually spicy and the rice is not that weird yellow rice they serve at places occasionally. The lunch special is under $6 and comes with a drink. You can sub soup for the drink, which is nice. The servings are HUGE so two people could easily share the lunch.

When I'm not up to cooking or driving a long ways for food, this is my go to place. The food is okay, and it comes in large sums so I always have left overs for lunch the next day. The best thing: the price. I can't think of any other place were I can get so much food, for so little money. Beware though, this is not a 5 star Chinese restaurant, it is simply fast Chinese food. The worst thing: service. I always call in my order & the girl who answers the phone either doesn't speak English very well or she just doesn't care. Regardless, she always rushes me off the phone and when I go in to pay she hardly acknowledges the fact that I'm a paying customer. But like I said, I go here for the sole fact that it's the closest place to get my Chinese food fix on a night when I just don't care.

Never go here. Rude on the phone when I ordered. A guy laying on the floor behind the register. Girl at the register made me wait while she finished Texting or reading something on her phone. Food Is subpar some of the worst I have had. I also ordered a wonton soup from Asian star next door and it was a 360. Best customer svc and Food

OK where does one start? First of all I am pregnant and was craving some Chinese take out.....With that being said, I had never been to this place and figured since it was close to the grocery store that I would stop by and place an order for lunch. Upon walking in it had the normal tacky Chinese decor that you have grown accustomed to seeing at almost every take out place across the country. I would not recommend eating in the dining area due to it appearing to be dirty and the tops of all the tables were severely cracked. Even the plants looked like they were on their last legs and had not been watered or put in new soil in ages. The service was borderline rude....When I walked in the lady sitting behind the counter didn't greet me nor help me with a selection after being asked a question. She was clearly too busy playing with her phone to be bothered with me. She appeared disheveled, unkept and almost hungover. Her clothes were filthy, her hair greasy and piled on top of her head, no make up and a puss on her face as if I had called her mother a slut. Now on to the main point....THE FOOD: I ordered the lunch special which was close to $9.00 and consisted of shrimp and chinese veggies, pork fried rice, an egg roll and won ton soup. I also ordered a pint of pork lo-mein. The shrimp dish had a funky over powering sauce soaked over everything, so in my opinion the entire dish was ruined because it had one flavor. The fried rice tasted and looked more like instant yellow rice. It was overcooked and hard, definitely not fresh. The egg roll was mediocre and the lo-mein was ok but not fabulous. The won ton soup was TERRIBLE. It needed salt and tasted of motor oil and toilet water. The wontons were NOT fresh. They were hard and barely had anything inside of them, they were dyed yellow which leads me to believe that it had been sitting in that muck for a long time. I have been to alot of chinese take out places both in the area of East Orlando and outside this area.....This is hands down, the WORST one I've been to yet. I will NEVER go back there again. I should have just driven the distance down the road and gone to "Tasty China" down Curry Ford Rd. The ladies that work there are so happy and friendly and the food is great. I have learned my lesson!

I was very disappointed with this place. As with all the other reviews I can say that the food lacked a lot. The rice was dry and had no flavor. I added a few packets of extra soy sauce than I normally would. The Wonton soup was very oily and flavorless so I do not recommend it. It did not seem to me like the employees provide good customer service and were not friendly. So to conclude I will go to another place the next time I am in the mood for Chinese food.

Rude. I mean, VERY rude. Really upset my mom how the lady there snapped at her multiple times when my mom asked simple questions in a very calm, appropriate manor. The Wonton soup is ALL oil and has no flavor. The house fried rice was dry and had maybe two pieces of shrimp in the entire thing. The beef we got was chewy and rubbery and tasteless. AND they don't deliver. Who doesn't deliver? Maybe it's because their food and services is TERRIBLE. Don't waste your time. Go across the way to First Choice Chinese Food. Ugh.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
