Some issues here - they seem to care more about the decor and outward appearance than the food or service. Our server/bartender (she was the only one running around) was initially dressed in a hoodie (Bill Bellichek anyone?) and eventually shed that layer as service went on. For such a chic decor, perhaps the staff should dress appropriately? The food was hit or miss - the shrimp dish had the head and tail on, and was kind of mushy and easily forgotten. The lamb chops were quite delicious though. The scallop dish that Scott Joseph raved about was quite tasty, although mine were overcooked. Truffle mac & cheese was outstanding. The tuna was just meh. Some of the dishes were clearly not thought all the way through, more form over function. No management was apparent at all, and for a place that displays their wine quite prominently they need to work on their selection - it was less than exciting. Overall the ambiance is nice to look at, but left me with an overall "cold" feeling.

Fellow Yelpers, I read enough reviews on Le Rouge to want to check it out and see if it lived up to the hype. This is a fairly new establishment on Sand Lake Rd. in the stretch known as Restaurant Row in Orlando. The location is good for the type of business they are trying to attract. At first glance the exterior did not seem very inviting but when I looked through the windows I was instantly turned on by what seemed to be a dimly lit trendy LED haven of a bar that is right up my alley. My date and I made reservations for 9:45pm and arrived there on time. The place seemed to be fairly busy, but with enough space available for us to choose where we wanted to sit. The hostess was rather curt with me and seemed to be annoyed about something (maybe PMS). We were then seated by a gentleman who seemed like a manager or owner. My date and I chose to sit on the couches instead of the bar and tables. The white couches are comfy and the interior is laid out fairly well. We enjoyed a good view of each other and the entire establishment from where we were. I ordered a bottle of wine from the menu but was disappointed when told by our server that they did not have it available at the time. I mean, it is a lounge that specializes in wines, but hey, I'm not judging. The server was very accommodating though as he offered to find me an equivalent wine and charge me the same price. The wine as it turns out was quite good. I was very pleased with this service. We then ordered our food which came out rather promptly. We decided on having the Mac'n Cheese dish, the Lamb Chops and the Figs and Manchengo Cheese Crostini. I thought for a moment we were vampires and the chef a vampire slayer because the Mac'n Cheese was extremely garlicky. However, once I saw my reflection in the mirror I enjoyed the dish. The Lamb Chops were on point except that it seems as if 80% of the three pieces were composed of pure fat. The presentation was great but the quantity of actual lean meat was lacking. The Crostini was the best dish. The live music was at first a bit loud but then as I lounged my way into an entire bottle of wine with my date it became tolerable. Although my date did point out that the guitar player was guitar-synching. Indeed it seemed like he was pulling a Milli Vanilli (reference credited to my date). Overall, this place is a decent lounge. Go for the wines (a good sized selection), the Crostinis and forget the rest of the Tapas style dishes. Save your money and go have a real meal somewhere across or down the street (there are plenty of other options). Au revoir!

Le Rouge is a refreshing place from the norm in Orlando. It's right among the great restaurants in restaurant row in Orlando, but it is much different and a refreshing feel from the many many chain restaurants that Orlando has. The wine selection is phenomenal and the array of tapas is unmatched. You can get lamb chops that are as succulent as anywhere I have had them, but there are many other choices that are equally as appealing. If you haven't been here, you must try it out. Whether it's after work or making a night out of it... I highly recommend it.

The atmosphere was very trendy and fun. I thought the tapas were so-so. I would suggest stopping in and enjoying a glass of wine and having a cheese plate. We got a cheese and meat plate and it was very yummy; served with glazed almonds and a delicious honey apricot spread.

I ate here several weeks ago while in town for work. I should have written the review while the experience was still fresh, but I'll do my best. The Saturday night we went it was almost empty. We ate early (6PM) so that was probably the reason. We had the lamb sausage, mac & cheese, pork belly, spicy tuna sliders, and lamb chops. The only miss was the pork belly because it was very small, could be more tender and was not fully crisp. The spicy tuna sliders were really fantastic. Overall, we enjoyed it. $100 for five "tapas" and two glasses of wine and a beer is a little steep for two, but I would return.

Service was not great (slow, rude, and mistake-prone), and they seemed to be out of every type of beer (including ALL of their draught beers, plus some bottled beers). Another annoyance: the terrible music in the background (basically karaoke renditions of familiar pop songs, WTF?) And the table was not exactly comfortable... nor was the ambience particularly nice. Despite all this, the food was really good. Everyone loved it, especially the truffle mac and cheese, fish tacos, and goat cheese.

Thank you very much to Le Rouge (specifically Mounir from Le Rouge) for the fantastic: environment, food and service provided to us for my friend's surprise birthday celebration. From start to finish, it was flawless. The table setup was perfect, the service was fantastic and the food was delicious. They were so accommodating in letting us come early to decorate; I loved the way it all came out. I have been a fan of Le Rouge since the first time my husband and I had dinner there and now I love it even more. My guest were very impressed with the restaurant and extremely complimentary of the yummy food and A+ service. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Enjoyed New Year's Eve dinner here. Very friendly and cooperative staff...didn't make our kids stick to the fixed menu. Suggested a great bottle of wine and the food was fantastic, especially the truffle mac and cheese.

This place is amazing! Great ambiance and perfect food served by the awesome Nicole : )) The lamb served on mashed parsnips is one of the best things I've ever tasted in my life! The filet is equally outstanding and the asparagus salad and chicken flatbread is delicious..Sangria is flavorful and plentiful....great loungey place to kick it in Orlando : ))

Took advantage of the yelp offer 20 for $10. Atmosphere was nice. Food is a little pricey. No liquor, only wine and beer. Dj after 8. I would go back, especially for happy hour.

I was in Orlando for a bachelorette party and this lounge was chosen as the place for dinner and drinks before the real festivities began. The ambiance is intimate, laid back, dark and chic. There's a variety of seating options from high top tables, bar, couches private dining area and outside. Overall I was impressed by what I saw and the cleanliness of the establishment. Let me begin by saying the drink options were very impressive. There were more than enough options to keep us going all night. The food menu I found to be limited but it's a tapas bar so it's understandable. We sat there for a while before they took our order but we started the night with a few appetizers, and then ordered a variety of Tapas for the table. Some of my favorites for the evening were the chicken flatbread, and the asparagus and avocado salad both amazing. The evening was going well until myself and the mother of the bride each ordered a spicy sausage dish. It was taking a while for our order to come to the table so I asked our waitress and she then informed us they were out of that item. I was upset that it took so long for someone to inform us however I was still hungry so I ordered the braised pork belly with an apple sauce and the mother of the bride ordered chicken skewers. Both items came fairly quickly and I was very impressed. The flavor of salt and the sweetness of the apple went together very well. As the night progressed a DJ began to spin some interesting and funky beats which we all enjoyed, and there was also a belly dancer who definity got the crowd going. Overall we all enjoyed ourselves and I would return. The only downfall of the evening was the extremely slow service and lack of communication regarding available food items on the menu.

Fabulous time and service from the owner, Munir, and staff. I had to plan an impromptu party a couple weeks ago. They were efficient and helpful, the guests loved the food, wine and atmosphere. The party was a huge success thanks to Le Rouge!

I went on a Tuesday with my girlfriend, we arrived around 6pm and it was pretty quiet. However as the evening went on more and more people showed up. It has super cute decor and a great happy hour until 8pm every night. We ordered a cheese and cracker spread, which was delicious! I also had the Salmon with Risotto and absolutely loved it. A great wine selection and nice staff. Will definitely return here for date night in the future!

Loved the vibe. Loved the service. So friendly and nice! And to top it all off, prices were decent. Unfortunately, I was just not a big fan of the wine selection :( Definitely give it a chance though, the owner is very accommodating!

Beer and Wine only, usually stuffy/warm inside, service is EXTREMELY slow consistently and staff isn't very friendly. The ambiance is cool but unfortunately it's tarnished by slow bar staff and stuffy temperatures. Been a few times and it's always the same, i wouldnt recommend.

I have mixed feelings about this one. I went in the evening, and the place seemed very hip and nice. However, their white sofas were so disgusting! They seemed as if they were taken out from a garbage truck. I could not sit there, and I had to move to the bar area. I was begining to regret we came here, and I was considering leaving. The waitress came over and was so energetic and easy-going that we decided to give it a try. We ordered a wine bottle from their menu, and it turns out they didn''t have it. No problem, the waitress suggested a similar one which was quite good. We ordered a chicken flatbread, and it was very tasty and fulfilling. We also ordered lamb chops, and they were just delectable. I would say the highlight of the entire night were precisely those lamb chops. The place was nearly empty with just one other couple and three other girls. The entire staff seems to be French, and our waitress was kind enough to teach us a word or two in the language. The place has a good potential, but they have to put more effort into actually keeping their establishment clean. It is not hygienic to have such dirty sofas, who knows what people have been doing there.

The tuna tartare was amazing. Also, every Friday night is ladies night. Great atmosphere. It's a tapas restaurant and lounge. I can't wait to take my Spanish mother-in-law here. Flamenco on Wednesday nights. Apparently the gazpacho is also amazing but we didn't try that. Also VERY charming staff.

Below average service, interesting decor, great food. Most dishes were delicious. Love the mushrooms, mac 'n cheese, and scallop ceviche! Service was ho-hum. 40 minutes for our first dish to come out - 15 minutes for wine! The wine by the glass pours were shallow. Two of our dishes never came. Oh, and the lighting was def questionable.

  • Rachel M.

Very nice and loungy like. I think it would be good for a date place when it is not too packed. We ordered and tried some tapas including the lamb chops, short rib, scallops, and escargot. All had a nice flavor. My faves were the lamb chops, escargot, scallops, and short rib. The short rib had a layer of fat I didn't like on it, but now comparing it to another place it has a nice flavor. I love the art on the wall. I am not much of a dark atmosphere kinda girl, but that is ok. There's a few tables outside as well if you want to sit outside. Service got better, and was so so at first. There was no other customers at the time, but us. All around good place.

This review is for my first visit to Le Rouge. It's a very trendy and cozy wine bar in the Dr Phillips area of Orlando. I didn't partake of the food, although the menu offers some interesting tapas! My evening consisted of a Champagne flight, which was GREAT and a couple extra glasses of Moscato. I can say that the venue is comfortable, offering seating at the bar, as well as tables and lounge type seating. The DJ that evening (Saturday) was spinning some great 80s music. Place wasn't crowded at all, but it was the evening of a big MMA fight so everyone went to the sports bars... Service was very efficient and friendly, the manager stopped by to greet us and see how everything was. Yes! I'll definitely have to come back and enjoy more wine--and order food for sure!!!

Le Rouge did not specify the style of cooking. But I am convincing they are the French restaurant. I have check rouge is actually Northeast of France. When I see this restaurant have 3.5 in the review, I am curious to try them to see it is true. Before I arrive the restaurant, I have called them if they honor the deal in the Yelp $20 for $10. They will honor the yelp coupon purchase deal. When I was dinning there, I am the only customer there. During that night it also rains. I ask the waiter why it so quite. She explains to me most of her regular on vacation. I realized this is beginning of the summer school break. Many of the local take vacation. Most of the out of towners have not make it to Florida yet in the first week of June. Tonight I have order three tapas and a glass of wine. The wine I have chosen Block Nine Pinot noir-a medium body California Red. It is prefect to pair with the tapas I have order. I have order the Escargot, Lam Chop and the Pork Belly. The escargot came in six big pieces in individual bowl spot. They cook in garlic herb butter. After you have pick up the escargot, I usually use the toasted bread to dip into the remaining butter sauce. The lamb chop come in two big pieces and each piece have two ribs. They are grilled to the order. They are top with currant red wine sauce. It is a bit sweet but perfect for the lamb chop. These chops are set on top of the parsnip puree. Many people mistake the parsnip puree as mash potato. However they are not and they are better than mash potato. When you taste the chop, you know the chef has grilled on the open fire and not burn it but has the meat grill smell. Love that smell. The third tapas is the 3"x6"x3" pork belly. This is a big piece. The fat and skin is well cook and soft. The meat section is purposely slightly burn to get the enhance taste. The pork belly is top with sweet Apple jalapeño chutney sauce. Yum. Overall my food is well prepared and the wine by glass fit my budget. They provide great chef tapas with reasonable cost. I am awarded them 5 star due to cost, excellent chef skill, and good service.

We eat here at least twice a month and have never had a bad meal. All the ingredients are fresh and the portions are pretty big considering that they are tapas. Last night we had escargot, spinach salad, a cheese plate, and a pizza or flatbread. We love their paella and sliders. I had a really good Cabernet last night and the service is top notch. I would highly recommend Le Rouge to everyone. It's between Seasons 52, Cedars and Saffron Indian restaurant with the red umbrellas out front. It is very similar to a South Beach restaurant, you can dine inside or outside. We like to go early. It gets busier late. You can always get a table or a seat somewhere. They have a large bar. Look for them on Facebook.

I came here once in 2012 and tried a Row Eleven Pinot Noir for the first time. It has become my favorite wine ever since. Fast forward three years later to today, I had their red wine flight, their escargot, and their lamb chops...absolutely delicious! I don't know why it has taken me so long to make it back. I asked the server who made these dishes and Moe, the chef, was standing right there as she pointed to him! It was hands down...THE BEST escargot I've ever had. Most are drenched in butter, but this had just enough moisture and packed a punch! I ended up ordering another dish because I enjoyed the tapas so much...that I went for their seared sea scallops. By the time it came out, the food I had earlier already settled and I couldn't eat anymore. But after one bite, I couldn't stop. It was that good! I like to support local restaurants and this will be one I continue to support.

We love the ambiance of the place; very relaxed, small and intimate. There are different types of seating that you can choose; from high tops, bar seats, lounge chairs, and regular tables. Also, a small private dining area towards the back. They have a pretty good wine and beer selection, and great prices on wine flights. As for the food, you must try their truffle mac and cheese and their tuna tar tar. The mac and cheese was creamy and very cheesy, you could smell the truffle aroma before it even hit the table. The tar tar was refreshing and flavorful. We also tried the spicy lamb sausage, but we didn't like it as much as the other two dishes. Service was mediocre, but their wait staff was very friendly. Will probably dine with them again.

Le Rouge is hands down my favorite spot to relax after work. Jelena and Nicol are the best. My favorite part is that I don't even have to think, they always make it a great night with great wine. Love the atmosphere, but they are the icing to make you keep coming back!

  • Mary Ann H.

I always like to try different places whenever I can, even though we do have our favorites. So glad we tried Le Rouge. I just love tapas with the opportunity to try several dishes. The mussels were delicious as were the lamb chops. Everything was great. And the service was excellent. Just don't understand the need for the big screen t.v. The ambience would be better without that distraction.

The happy hour is only at the bar although the restaurant was empty. Although the happy hour deals are good why artificially limit seating only At the bar?

Both server's were very nice!!!! The truffle Mac & cheese was delish!!! The tomato, avocado, asparagus salad was good too. The place had a pretty dark & romantic ambience...but...if u want to have a date night, or a conversation u better find out if it's dj night!!! When we called earlier in the evening they didn't say anything about it :( We were on vacation & had a long day!!! So we got a late start for dinner... By the time we got there we were so hungry we just went ahead and stayed, in spite of the loud club music :( Instead of trying to find a sub par fast food joint that would still b open :/ Overall it was good...but I'm sure it would b much nicer when u can hear each other ;)

Really great service. Nicole was a perfect hostess. We had a lovely bottle of wine with a cheese platter. It was a nice afternoon resting spot. I'm sure if we had stayed for dinner it would have been a memorable experience.

By far one of my favorite tapas restaurant in all of Orlando,FL. The ambiance is perfect for a girls night out or a simple wine me down date night for a couple. You have a variety of seating depending on your mood. They have comfortable white lounge chairs to kick back and relax as well as high top tables if you're looking for a quick dish. The food menu makes me fall in love each time I visit. The truffle mac and cheese is rich in flavor and something you won't find else where. I also recommending getting the sautéed calamari. It's a little on the tender side but definitely something worth trying. The wine selection is pretty general and can cater to any palette. As for the customer service, I have never had a problem with waiting for a refill or anything of that nature. The servers stay on top of everything and go above and beyond.

Wasn't overly impressed at all. Service was mediocre and there was a mistake on my check. Had a glass of merlot for $7 and it came from a twist off bottle, sangria came out of a box. Had the filet and goat cheese flatbread. It was fine. Giving 2 stars because the music was really good. Went on a Saturday evening. I will not go again. Also tried to use the yelp 10% off coupon if you check In and waitress wouldnt honor it, said we would have to have 1 check for the whole table.

I was visiting Orlando on vacation this week. I do not eat in chain restaurants, because I like to support local small business owners and prefer non-chain dining overall. Came into this place for dinner on Monday night. It was very quiet inside, which I attribute to the Monday. Judging from the size of this place, they have room for a crowd. It's located in a strip mall. The wine selection was terrific. The food was fresh, well prepared and delish! Service was efficient and friendly. The ambiance of this place is terrific. They've got little tables with super comfy armchairs so you can relax and kick back with a glass of wine. The lighting is subdued, and it sets a nice intimate mood. You can dine outside as well. I'd definitely come back here if I end up in the Orlando area again.

I give them two stars out of pity. The service was horrible. The food was barely average and it was completely empty during dinner time. One of the waiters was rude and pushy while another had no clue what was going on. I ordered seafood paella for 2 for $24 and it was NOT worth a single penny. I've had my share of amazing paella and this was not one of them. Some parts were completely bland and some parts were extremely salty. You could tell the seafood was not fresh, and it was too watery almost as if it was soup. All in all, I would not go back to this place.

If i would've given a review on Le Rouge the first time I came, it would have been a good one. But now...I'm almost glad I didn't after the experience I had. The first time I came, I came with a group of girls for a bachelorette dinner party. The food was great and our server was sweet. I got the chicken flatbread and it was very good and all of the girls enjoyed their meal. We had a large party and didn't have any problems. The only thing we were disappointed about was being to use a Groupon on separate checks, they could only use it on one. Now the second time, we came back for a Jack and Jill (bachelor/bachelorette party) and had a large group again. Food was once again delicious and we thought the server was nice..until we got our bill. We ordered 2 bottles of wine and the waiter took it upon himself to bring us another bottle and charging us without asking if we wanted another bottle. He just came by with the bottle and asked if we would like more so we said yes, assuming it was from the two bottles we ordered. We also had waters ordered around the whole table to find a $6 charge for I guess some fancy bottled water when we were not asked if we wanted this "specialty water". We were a group of 6 couples so that was $36 for water.....really? My cousin in law asked to speak to the manager to explain the situation so they removed the water and extra bottle of wine that was not even finished. I saw the manager lecturing the waiter at the register in clear site of all the restaurant which I found to be very unprofessional. They then swiped my boyfriend's card for our charges, came back and said it was declined, we asked to try again knowing we had a sufficient balance on the card and it went through the second time. Something told us to check the account and we saw they charged the card twice. They said they voided the charge but the charge ended up posting and had to be disputed with the bank. With all of that being said, I WILL NEVER GO TO LE ROUGE, NOR WILL I EVER RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT TO ANYONE. One bad experience could truly leave a bad taste in someone's mouth and this experience really did.

Kind of bummed they don't honor the free glass of wine with check in Thursday-Saturday which is not mentioned anywhere. Only wine and beer and the shrimp tasted frozen. Brussel sprouts were good and our server was super nice

Great atmosphere if you're looking for ambience. Live acoustic music the night we were there. Great wine selection. Food was awesome though I was kinda bummed they were out of their chocolate crime brûlée. Had the scallops, Mahi tacos, Mac n cheese and tuna tartare. Service was excellent. Definitely would go back.

No complaint on food or service. This has to do with bad management. Purchased a gift card with no restrictions for this location and was denied the ability to use it simply because it was Valentines Day. The coupon CLEARLY stated there were no restrictions in ANY of the details. Management still refused to honor the terms. Will not return because of this. Extremely poor customer service.

Went here for happy hour and it seemed like a nice environment. First, I had a voucher from restaurant.com that I purchased and they didn't accept it because I purchased items during happy hour. It was my first time there and I don't know if I will ever go there again, especially not during happy hour. So if anyone wants a $15 certificate here, let me know. Second, the sangria (red) was incredibly watered down. Third, we were the only people around and at times we were sitting there with empty glasses while the place was staffed. Imagine that, you are the only customers at a place and you are not being helped...how does that happen? However, the tapas were not that bad. I had the sliders and the chicken kabobs and both items were good.

I looked up this restaurant when I was on a business trip in Orlando. The reviews about the food, service and overall experience were spot on and really enjoyed my night and it was by far the best food I had in Orlando. HOWEVER after my visit I reached out to the restaurant to get a copy of my itemized receipt for reimbursement from my company. Not only have I never been treated so poorly by a restaurant employee ( being hung up on several times with the person refusing to assist me and fax me my original receipt ) but also very poor customer service. The owner who had been so gracious during my visit was on vacation for 2 wks so I waited for his return. I informed him of my experience, he was very apologetic and I was satisfied that my issue would be resolved. I was very mistaken. I have called at least 5 times to get a copy of my receipt faxed to me. The owner has said numerous times that he has sent to and will send it again but to date I have received nothing. I am incredibly frustrated because I have been very patient and am now accruing fees for this dinner on my work credit card because they will not send me the information I have requested. Purely based on how I have been treated since my visit I will never return and advise others to steer clear.

First, let me start by saying that the place is beautiful! It looks modern, the music is great, and the food is even better. I came with a group of girls for a bachelorette party and it just had the right kind of vibe. There was so much to choose from on the menu and I wanted to try everything! I was fortunate enough to be able to try a couple of flat breads in addition to my filet mignon meal. Everything was absolutely delicious. I read so many of the previous reviews and everyone raved about the truffle mac and cheese, so of course, I had to try it! It was just as amazing as everyone described! I was completely impressed with this place and plan on coming back with my husband.

Restaurant Row is a pretty happening place on a Saturday night, so it was a little disturbing to walk in at 7 p.m.and be the only table seated. Even though it was eerily quiet, the decor was welcoming and trendy. Our hostess was also our server, and appeared to be the only Front of House employee. With us being the only table, one would think that our service would have been impeccable, but our glasses were not refilled in a tiemly manner. The tapas menu was fairly priced, which did not make us feel guilty for odering multiple items to sample. The cheese plate allowed you to pick three meats and/or cheeses, and was served with a spread of crackers, berries, spicy almonds, and olives. We also shared the Crab and Cheese dip, which was flavorful, but not stellar - I've definitely had better elsewhere. Peter raved about the escargot; however, I did not try any! A.) Peter gobbled them up almost as quickly as our server placed them on the table, and B.) They were mixed with mushrooms. I don't do mushrooms. For our entrees, Peter ordered the filet, which he said was "just okay," and I ordered the salmon. The salmon had a pretty presentation, but it was beyond dry! The best thing about the entire meal; however, was the risotto it was served with. Peter kept trying to sneak bites of it when I wasn't looking! Lastly, we had the fresh mozzerella and tomato flatbread. Just a few days prior, I had sampled the new flatbreads at Pinocchio's Village Haus at the Magic Kingdom, a quick service restaurant, and I'm sad to report that the fast food flatbread at the Magic Kingdom was tremendously better than this one. The crust reminded me of a Boboli crust, one that had been precooked, and then topped with toppings and rebaked. It was not flavorful at all. So will we be back? They had a really nice private room in the back, those seem few and far between, so perhaps if we had a group outing, but for a good tapas experience, I'd recommend Cafe Tu Tu Tango's or the Tasting Room at the Chef's Table in downtown Winter Garden!

If you're a wine snob this is the place for you. The wine is sold by the glass with a lot of options. Every wine I've had at this place has been amazing. I did the tasting menu recently which can change daily as it is up to the chef what he will serve. Our bartender poured us some generous glasses with each course. It was all delicious. We had the ahi tuna, the salmon and finally the garlic shrimp. If you like cheese and wine, the cheese tray is a great option. I've tried the flourless chocolate cake and the chocolate creme brulee which are both exquisite. The ambiance is amazing as it is very chic and makes me feel like I'm at a bar in NYC. I've never seen it on a busy night but that won't keep me from returning. I kind of like the quiet romantic vibe. I used the $20 for $10 Yelp deal and it worked well. This is really quite a hidden gem in the Dr. Phillips area.

Never really knew this place had food but once I found out I have been back multiple times for lunch ( small apps) ahi tuna sliders are always consistent and amazing everything else I've had has been delicious great atmosphere/service and so many wine choices!

A bit mixed on this one. . . The space, music, food, ambiance. . .AH mazing!! Great place to lounge and unwind with friends. The ingredients and quality of the food, I have to say are excellent. I enjoyed the truffle mac n cheese (the smell alone is intoxicating), as well as a couple of other appetizers that I'm not remembering. I will say to please make sure you clarify about what it is you are ordering. It seems the manager kept inviting us to "taste" the food, giving us the impression he would provide samples. . . However, when we got the final bill it included a full charge for all of the dishes we tasted. After explaining to the server, the bill was reduced. She said this happened to another party recently as well. Otherwise, enjoy the vibe, the food, and the company.

Spent 5 minutes in here and left! I was looking for a place to go for some hookah and a drink. I'm not from Orlando so I only had online reviews to go by. The reviews on this place seemed pretty good so I gave it a try. I actually really liked the atmosphere when I went inside. The place wasn't too busy so I found a table in the back. After sitting there for 5 minutes, the waitress finally came over and informed me that I would have to move because all of the tables were reserved (even though there were not signs indicating this). The only other place to sit was at the bar, or outside. I tried to sit outside for a few minutes but it was too cold and the server never even came out to take my order. I ended up going to the place next door and had a great time.

Awesome DJ, poor customer service. I loved the atmosphere and vibe but I've received better customer service at McDonald's. I had to ask for a menu and when I was ready to order I had to ask for assistance. The bartender was inattentive and pretentious. Most wine bars take the time to ask if you have any questions about the selection but these bartenders were apparently too busy inventing the cure for Eobla to bother. Moe's does a better job of greeting customers. The DJ was great, playing a mix of contemporary and old school, which is why I gave this place 2 stars. Get a grip and treat your customers with respect.

Unfortunately my experience was not a pleasant one. Many of my family members had an exeptional meals but my calamari tasted horrible and the customer service unfortunately was below par. The waiter charged each individual at out large table for sparkling water when no one speicifically asked for it. We ordered two bottles of wine and the waiter towards the end of the meal opened an additional one with out anyone asking for it. At the end of the dinner i was double charged for the meal and they stated that it was voided. Found out later the funds were taken and i was forced to dispute the transaction in order to be reimbursed horrible overall experience.

Great atmosphere, incredible wine selection. We had the tuna tartare (excellent!), the paella (also excellent) and the olive tapenade. If you want a quiet, romantic, or casual yet upscale feel, this is the place.

I had such high expectations for this place and when I got there it wasn't as I thought it would be. The venue was nice. It was small and intimate. The wine and food... absolutely delicious! But I don't know what it is about Orlando and the service people give, but my goodness a lot of people need training. Our server wasn't the best. The place wasn't even busy and she took forever and a day to get to our table. When we would be finished with our plates, she would leave them on our table or just take one back... mind you, the tables are small. Maybe she was having a bad, I don't know. The only reason I would return is because of the food, and I would ask for a different server of course.

This is probably one of my favorite places to lounge in the Dr. Phillips area. It's never crowded or crazy (at least during the times I have gone)). The music is always really good, and I like that their food portions are small and manageable. Try the truffle mac & cheese! So good. Another good menu standout is the salmon with risotto. Perfect portion and perfectly cooked each time. But at this place, the wine is really the star. With a large selection, you are bound to find something you like. Once you have decided, the super friendly waitstaff will bring you a stemmed ice bucket to perch next to your table (if you order anything white). It's always nice to not have your sauvignon blanc go warm from sitting on a table for over an hour. If you want to do something super chill and not deal with one of those "see-and-be-seen" places, Le Rouge is for you. Plus, the owner is so friendly and nice, you will come back again and again and again. Thank you, Le Rouge, for opening a cool lounge that you can actually "lounge" in!

A wonderful surprise in an Orlando strip mall. We walked into an upbeat energetic atmosphere that not only delivered high energy but great Tapas. Beef Sliders, Lamb Chops, Garlic Shrimp and Mahi Tacos were all spot on. Great service and an excellent wine selection. Can't wait to come back with some friends. As a restaurant owner, I have high standards. La Rouge met and exceeded them.

Came Into Le Rouge late on Valentine's Day..wanted a little bit of wine and something to munch on. Found the Shine and Mazzaron-Tempranillo to be both excellent. Ordered the lamb sausage, truffle mac and cheese and the tomato caprese. Never have I had a sausage rival my love of venison sausage but this did. The mac and cheese had such flavor. Will be back an d can't wait to see what else is great. If you are lucky and sit at the bar..hopefully Tanya will be the one to take care of you. Great lady who makes you feel totally at home.

I went to Le Rouge last week. It is a very small venue with a dim lit atmosphere. It definitely has a lounge feeling, almost kind of like a very tiny South Beach club - except that it's located on the side of a strip mall. The food was really good. I had the tuna tartar, the paella, the shrimp tacos and the chocolate creme brule. The tuna tartar was awesome! The shrimp tacos were really good. The paella was also good. And the creme brule was fantastic. The food was priced appropriately to a little high. And the portions were small, just like most tapas restaurants. I also felt like I paid through the nose for wine - 3 glasses were half the bill. So, be careful of that if you decide to go. The service was a little slow and kind of impersonal. I guess they wanted to give the illusion of a swanky Miami bar. The problem is that it wasn't a swanky Miami bar. It was in a strip mall across from a Publix. It took me almost 2hours to get out of there and it wasn't very busy at all. That was my major criticism of this place. If you happen to be in the Orlando/Disney area and you are looking for a cool tapas bar then Le Rouge should be on your short list. If you have a couple of hours and you don't mind service that's a little on the slower side (OK, it's pretty darn slow) then check it out. The food is really good and in my opinion, it is worth the wait.

The menu is exciting, the ambiance is wonderful, service and staff are amazing and very friendly. I don't usually give a 5 star review to a new place that just opened up a few months ago but I'm willing to do it for this one, and I know I'll be back and adjust if necessary. Unfortunately the place was quite dead for lunch, they are working on tweaking their menu a bit for a lunch crowd, offering paninis, and more or different lunch deal. The deal right now is any panini with a glass of wine for ten dollars. It's basically getting a glass of wine for free. And the house wine is very good. The panini comes with a small arugula salad with blistered cherry tomatoes tossed in a light dressing. It's just enough food, and if you love Press 101 paninis you'll love theirs. They have some amazing cheeses. Quality cheeses can make a panini, and it certainly does here. Service - The girl at the bar was amazing. So easy to talk to, so personable, so sweet, so wonderful. She's amazing, has a good head on her shoulders and makes great conversation. If you come in for lunch she can give you a guided tour through the menu. Now that I've had the panini I want to try the tapas items. lerougewinebar.com/Le%20… The menu is very foodie, things we don't always have in Orlando. I asked what P.E.I. Mussels meant, Prince Edward Islands. Sure I haven't had a ton of stuff from here but look at the menu, There is so much promise. From what I've had so far this place is a gem. Try it out,

Mixed Review. Food-Escargot(Excellant) possibly not cleaned enough, Lamb(Excellant),Aspargus Augratin(below avg.)(overyly salty & undercooked), Beef(avg.-tender but fatty, did not like sauce) Service-Good Manners & Prof., lack of communication amongst servers/wait staff, serving wrong food to tables. Price-slightly overpriced. Wine Prices-Overpriced. We requested two types of wine to take with us and were informed both were not available, they subrstituted a different kind. the bottle of wine could have been purchased elsewhere for about $15.00 less. Atmosphere-Excellant, sofa chairs nice, no padding on innersides, not comfortable, padding on backs only. I signed up for a special which included a bottle of wine and four tapas. If not for the promotion they were running I probably would not visit this location again. I had to wait a long time before receiving check.

I love the atmosphere here and their twist of traditional tapas. I will definitely come back for the pork belly, the crabmeat asparagus salad and the truffle mac and cheese. It's a bit pricey and even overpriced, but it's still a nice place to lounge around and give a try.

A simply "ab-fab" addition to Restaurant Row, Le Rouge is worth dropping into simply for a glass of wine at the beautiful bar, but there's much more to it. This rather long rather narrow restaurant features a cluster of tables in the front and in the back. In between are sofas and chairs in white with coffee tables. On the dining side, there are beautiful fieldstone walls, and on the bar side, mauve, maroon or cranberry walls (take your pick, I'm slightly color-blind). Other parts of the interior include impressive wine racks with the wine bottles tilted at the perfect angle. The high ceiling features exposed white a/c ducts. Whether you choose to sit at a table or at the sofas and chairs, or at the spacious bar, you'll be tempted to linger at Le Rouge. On my visit, trance music was playing at a comfortable volume. Paninis and tapas dishes are featured here. Sitting at the bar, I chose the Truffle Mac and Cheese, and a Lamb Sausage with white bean puree and a tomato chutney -- both items were outstanding. My third choice, Steak Tartare with a quail egg and red onion, was good, but the onion overpowered the dish. The accompanying bread with a white dipping sauce was very nice and nicely presented. Wines by the glass are a little bit sparse for a wine bar, but nicely varied.

Beyond awful experience! Worst wine lounge in Orlando! Went to Le Rouge last night as VIP for a private event (30+ media, bloggers, etc). Expected great things from the staff, as we know quite a few organizations have been using them for parties, etc. Wow, were we in for a disappointment. Service was terrible, and management (apparently) was worse. Long story short, they lied to us about the comp'd specials, and then turned around and billed the entire room all full price! The last straw was when they stuck the event management company with a bill for unpaid tips (maybe ticked off guests who were supposed to get a free glass of wine??) We feel so bad for the event management company-I've never seen anyone treated so poorly. This is the last time we'll be dining at Le Rouge, and frankly, they could learn a thing or two from Timpano's, Season's 52, and many of the substantially higher quality restaurants surrounding them.

"Meh. I've experienced better"-Yelp itself said it best when it comes to this place. My friend and I went out to Le Rouge in high hopes of discovering another area Tapas Restaurant/Wine Bar...a combination designed to please. First things first, the night that we went parking was quite the hassle. Upon finding one of the last remaining parking spots for the shopping center, we started to cross the parking lot only to be stopped by a small boy trying to sell us candy bars for his Boy Scout Troop (I'm still not sure a late night parking lot in Dr. Phillips is the right market for this kid). Opening the door, we weren't sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves or wait to be seated...after awkwardly waiting a few minutes for a hostess we courageously decided to seat ourselves-which turned out to be the right choice FYI. Service was the main flaw here, and in my book that's a pretty big flaw. It took forever to have someone come over and wait on us. By the time we finally were greeted we were both starving, the waiter quickly gave us both menus and hurried away. It took a while for him to come back over to us once we had made our decisions. He placed our food and wine orders and proceed to take both menus-we kept one just in case. He didn't write our order down and just said "got it" at the end...5 minutes later he came back to say he didn't "get it" and we had to give him our order again. We had ordered 2 glasses of wine, one Savignon Blanc and one Rioja blend-he slowy returned with 2 glasses of dark, robust, red wine (?). My friend with her puzzled look reminded him of what she ordered "oh, he must have poured the red version"...of Savignon Blanc (???). The rest of the service was just as slow, and almost as laughable. The food: The food was ok, not great, but ok. Some were better than other, but aside from the lamb chops I honestly don't even remember what we ordered-it was a very forgettable culinary meal. There were some upsides, the establishment itself is quite nice, and the live music was a big plus-I felt like we were in a jazz club. If you are looking to just have a glass of wine or two at the bar with some nice music, this might be the place...provided you get the right wine. In all, the food was very expensive for just 2 people having "tapas" sized portions, and being right in the middle of Dr. Phillips, there are so many better alternatives to this place within a 5 minute radius, it just isn't worth going here with all the other choices. This place was far too overpriced for the food and experience we got. Try it out if you want, but I won't be going back anytime soon.

Quite cozy and warm place! Went there for after wine drink after dinner.. Let them choose the wine for you. They have one of the best Spanish wines selection I have found here. We took seats outdoors to enjoy the Florida night air when we arrived at Le Rouge. Our table ordered espresso, cappachino, and hot tea. The coffee was fine but not outstanding. Hot tea is well hot tea. The outdoor seating provides a nice, comfortable atmosphere conducive to chatting and relaxing together even though it overlooks the parking lot. We were entertained by the occasional sounds of singing coming from indoors. I'm guessing karoake. Service was efficient and our server made it known she was available if we needed anything but didn't interfere with our conversation.
