I just had my car detailed and since the rain clouds disappeared I chose to grab a burger before getting back to work. I have been wanting to check out Junior's for quite some time but had always ended up changing my mind last minute. Well today I did not change my mind... I walked in and it was about 2:30 so I missed the lunch rush but I have to say that they already had the store looking immaculate. I walked up to the counter and the young lady waiting on me did a great job of selling the menu to this Junior's virgin. I took her advice and ordered the number 2 combo. It is a single cheeseburger and I had her put everything on it. She rattled off all of the toppings and they sounded good. I was given a pager to notify me when my food was ready but she assured me she would bring it to my table when it was ready. I looked over my drink options and they had raspberry iced tea. I would have preferred unsweetened tea but I have found that in not a common drink option at South American places. I also found a cool sauce dispenser with the options of Zulu, Pink, Chipotle, BBQ and Garlic. I got a small container of each to try with my meal. I no sooner sat down when my food was brought to the table. The first thing I noticed was my fries were freshly made, crispy and nicely seasoned. I tried them with all of the sauces and the pink sauce hit the mark for their fries for me. I unwrapped my burger and it was just a typical burger at first glance. I open it up and see the sauce was not evenly distributed on the burger. Everything else was put on evenly but most important is TASTE... The burger has a nice combination of flavors but the meat itself could have used a wee bit more seasoning. You quickly forget all about that once you add the sauce. I took a bite with each of the sauces and my three favorites on the burger was the Zulu, Chipotle and Garlic. Each one adds a unique twist to the burger in a nice way. I have to say I would have to approve. Service - 5 Cleanliness - 5 Fries - 5 Burger - 5 Sauces - 5 Atmosphere - 5 Junior's is a family owned burger joint with several locations. As many of you already know I am not a fan of fast food but they have a good combination of fast service, good food and a great tasting burger. When comparing it to the other comparable burger joints, Junior's seems to be on par with the best of them. Are there better burgers out there? Yes Better ones at this price point? I will just have to keep looking because they won me over...

1st visit. Should have gone to Wendy's. Place is dark, hotter inside then it is outside. Fries were ok, burger was messy and wanting to fall off the buns with every bite. Too much sauce and too sweet. Probably good food for people leaving bar and night club

Had the sliders and empanadas. It was so good. I went here while getting my tires changed. Very fresh food and such a surprise! Will come again!

If you're in the mood for a good burger, then Junior's is a solid option. The secret to Columbian burgers are that they are topped with crushed potato chips and a trio of sauces. This is what gives them their unique and delicious flavor. They even offer dispensers of all their sauces if you want to go nuts (like I do). It's not a gourmet burger, and it's a little pricey at over $5 for just a sandwich, but it's worth an occasional visit for something a little different.

I love burgers and I especially love good burgers. That being said the burgers my fiancé and I had here were terrible. I've had better and higher quality burgers at BK and MacDonald's. This place had pretty good reviews so I decided to try out a new burger place in hopes of finding a hidden gem. This place was far from a hidden gem. I had a single cheeseburger combo ($8.95) and my fiancé had a triple cheeseburger ($10.69). -Single Cheeseburger: I ordered a combo expecting a good amount of fries, instead I got what I thought was a measly amount of fries. The fries themselves were kind of undercooked and I could taste the raw potato. The seasoning on the fries was pretty tasty though. The burger itself was hands down the worst burger I have ever had. The meat on it tasted so horrible, it tasted like a freezer, like it had been frozen and freezer burnt. It wasn't seasoned at all and it was dry and just so bland- it had the flavor profile of a cardboard box. The burger also had a ridiculous amount of this white cheese that was watery and tasted like rancid plastic. It was so bad I was basically force feeding myself because I was so hungry. While eating I was using my coke to wash the taste of the burger out of my mouth. -Triple Cheeseburger: My fiancé looked directly at me after taking the first bite and asked me what "that weird taste" in the burger was. Turns out it was the watery, plastic tasting cheese. He said that the slimy but yet watery texture of the cheese interfered with the flavor and overall quality of the burger. His burger had so much of the terrible cheese on it that he had to take apart the burger and wipe it off. He also said that the meat on his burger was flavorless but had a weird aftertaste that he couldn't put his finger on. While sitting and eating an employee walked by and handed us some free samples. I forgot to ask what they were but they looked like croquettes and were filled with what I think was potato and corn. They didn't taste very good and we didn't finish them. Overall, I have no idea how so many people say the burgers here are good. The service was great and the employees were super sweet but the food was terrible. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy, because it would be cruel to have someone pay so much for such unpalatable food.

Been here twice now and would definitely recommend. Get a burger with the works as the queso isn't really as good on its own like an North American burger. So good all together though, who new ham could be amazing on a burger? Who knew I could even like sliced ham? Cups are fine, there's a fountain right there so it's not like you can't refill them if you're into soda like that. The lady at the counter was really nice too :) Fries should always be eaten with mayo.

Great burger. My husband I always order dog burger. Burger plus hot dog. Yum yum. And they have many kind of sauce. My favorite are jalapeño and pineapple mix with it. I save sauce put over easy eggs OMG great hit!

I think Junior Colombian Burger is a pretty solid burger joint although I do admit that during my first visit I was blown away by the flavors, repeat visits lowered my attraction to it. Easily defeats your Five Guys or any typical American fast food burger spot. The crushed potato chips are really what make the burger so great and I think they are superior so some of the potato sticks I see in other Colombian eateries. Prices are a little high for a frozen burger but since it's not something I get everyday I don't mind. I love the sauce selection and truly believe it is one of the better things about Junior. French fries taste pretty good, but could be a little better. Overall a solid stop and certainly appealing to a college crowd. I have found a couple of spots in Tampa that have better Colombian Fast Food for much cheaper (think $5-7) so I think I'll stick to the hole-in-the-walls.

Love this place. Great late night eats. Burgers are a bit messy but delicious. Only thing I would complain about is that they downsized their soft drink cups. Stinks when your doing takeout and aren't refilling.

Best. Veggie. Burger. I just had to get that out! Woo! If you are a veggie burger lover, you know it can be very difficult to find a good one. I'm like Goldilocks: some burgers are too small, some too dry, some too bland, you get the idea. I FINALLY found one that is just right! The veggie burger patty... I have no clue what all goes into it, but it is thick and juicy with a bit of crispness to the outside and a fantastic, grilled, almost smoky flavor I have never experienced! It was a huge patty, to boot! I got the veggie burger combo (just under $10 with fries and a drink) and got it with everything. "Everything" comes with crushed potato chips, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and loads of interesting sauces. It is a sweet and savory combination I absolutely loved. It was dripping with ooey-gooey goodness - I felt like a pig eating it messily but I just couldn't care enough to stop and grab a napkin! I was absolutely stuffed and could not begin to finish the fries. I can't say if they have the best beef burger in town, but I can tell you that I have never had a better veggie burger in any restaurant anywhere. You will not be sorry if you give the veggie burger a go. I will be back ASAP! P.S. I had no problem with the service, even though I did get my order to-go.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Junior's! Very casual and clean atmosphere. You order at the front counter and take a seat with a buzzer to alert you to go pick up your food at the counter when it is ready. I ordered a cigar city maduro bottled beer and it was only $3! For my meal I ordered a single cheeseburger and an order of fries. The food did not take very long and was pretty tasty. I was really full after eating my burger and I split the fries with my husband. I sat at the bar facing the tvs and watched the basketball game that was on. The burger was cooked perfectly and was topped with lots of sauces and chips! The fries were nicely seasoned and crispy. They use sysco burger patties I believe so the burger is not gourmet by any means but it is very satisfying and the toppings are delicious. The hours listed on yelp are incorrect! They are open very late! Check this place out if you are on a budget and have the munchies! I can't wait to go back and try the hot dog and the empanadas!

Holy shit, this place is gross. The good is insanely over priced for the crap they serve you. I'm pretty sure the staff is posting this crap about the food being good. For 8 dollars you get a basic burger with cheese and bun with fries and a drink. I could of gone to McDonalds or even fucking Burger King for better shit. I loved Pioneers when it was there. This place is shitting on their memory. Granted they do have beer, but it does outweigh how shit the place is now.

Dear Junior, I hate you. Why? Because your burger is so freaking good. I am trying to be good and lose weight, and then you came into my life. I thought to myself, Get the turkey burger, that is probably healthy..um, I doubt it! Not when you add whatever special yummy sauce, and french fries to the mix. But seriously, this place is really really good. I am still full an hour after eating here. Seriously... The portions are good and the price is right. There are a bunch of different sauces that you can get and add to your burgers or fries. All low cal.. Ha, Sucker!!! It was sad to see Pioneers go, but Junior is a welcome addition when you feel like being fat. Definitely choose them over five guys. Who needs f-in peanuts anyway? #Yelp100

You know in the Peanuts cartoons when one of them was angry or frustrated, they'd have those squiggly black lines hanging over their head as the walked down the street? I had those squiggly lines as I walked in to Junior Colombian Burger, because the Pioneers Western Kitchen that they bought out and replaced was one of my favorite lunch spots in the area. So I came in to JCB already annoyed with them, my inner monologue mumbling about how I'm not going to enjoy this place, I just knew it. "There's no menus to hold while you're waiting in line?" I thought to myself, "And why would you have glossy TV screens showing the overhead menu when they're facing a bright window? I can't see a thing on those menus because of the glare! This place is stupid." My squiggles were squiggling furiously. So I made up my mind to try a combo meal after much moving my head around like an idiot trying to read around the glare spots on the screen, and I was given one of those vibrating flashy things that you normally get when you're waiting for a table. "That's stupid," said my brain, sulking. I went to a table. Then the flashy thing went off. And did it ever go off. Loud, obnoxious beeping followed every few seconds with an equally loud verbal warning that my food was ready, repeated in both English and Spanish. Everyone in the restaurant knew when my food was ready, it was crazy. My squiggles had reached a fever pitch as I got up to get my food. After getting a bunch of sauces to try from the collection of half a dozen or so available, I opened up the burger and tried it out. Dammit. This is really pretty good. The patties (I had ordered a double) were surprisingly tender and juicy, and the bun was one of those silky soft types that's strong and holds up nicely but doesn't have any of those dry, crumby properties that the hamburger buns at most fast food joints have. The sauces work together nicely (and can, of course, be enhanced with any of the sauces available by the counter) and the crumbled potato chips at a little texture and saltiness to the mix. For around $10, I got this double cheeseburger and a good sized thing of fries. The fries may not have been life-altering, but they were good and they operated nicely as vessels for some of those sauces. I was stuffed and couldn't even finish the fries. This was my first experience at a Junior Colombian Burger, and I was definitely happy with the food. I may save one thin wisp of an "angry squiggle" for my beloved Pioneers, but I'll be back here again for sure. *** Update *** On my second visit to JCB, I noticed that they had placed menus in front of the counter that you can take to look at while you wait to order. Also, when I was there they were in the middle of installing something on the window to reduce the glare on the menu screens.

This was the first time I had been back since JCB took over the spot that Pioneers occupied before. Pioneers was nice but it went through it's own issues at that location. As others have said they use a pre-made patty and it detracts from the overall flavor of the burger. The meat is lacking any pizzazz in itself and being a packed patty has no crumble and is cooked with no pink inside so it's lacking a juicy flavor. That being said if you're the type of person who enjoys toppings then you should really give the food a try. I've been putting french fries and potato chips on burgers since I was a kid so the concept was very familiar to me. They use a crushed layer of potato chips along with a combination of sauces and other toppings. I tried the Burger Dog which also had sliced ham and sliced hotdog on it. I got it without the sweet pineapple sauce though. Everything topping wise worked well and was delicious and the potato chips give that nice crisp snap while eating. While being delicious the patty did detract from the overall flavor to me though.

This may not be the best burger in Orlando as a whole, but I think it's the best you can get in East Orlando. The only other competition is perhaps Five Guys (Waterford). I think Five Guys has better meat and preparation, but Junior has far more interesting toppings and sauces. I'd rank Junior over both Burger 21 and Graffiti Junktion, which are OK but a little bland. I first went to the Junior Colombian Burger on Kirkman. I had no idea this location existed because it's tucked away behind the SunTrust in a somewhat run down plaza. Nonetheless, the quality of this location is far better than the Kirkman location. This East Orlando location is clean and has a college bar type atmosphere, which fits perfectly for the UCF area., I could easily see going out here with a group of friends for burgers and beer. The quality of the burger was what I remembered from my visit to the Kirkman location. They rattled off a long list of toppings which sounded way more than a bun could hold, but I trusted them. I'm glad I did, because the composition of ingredients is perfect. I was a little unsure of the potato chips at first, but it's a welcome addition of texture on the burger. The fries were also delicious, and the wide selection of sauces makes them all the more great. In truth, I think Junior is more of a 4.5 than a 5, but Yelp doesn't offer that in its point system, so I rounded up. If you're craving a burger with a bit more flair than the usual bland offerings, this is the place. Fantastic burger with a great, fast casual dine-in experience.

Burger was great!!! I just think when ordering the combo, burger and fries its priced for the amount of fries.

I walked in with super high expectations as other reviewers rated this as 5 stars and claiming better than Five Guys & In & Out Burgers. If you walk in with this expectation you will be disappointed as It is like comparing apples to oranges. The Junior burger is packed with flavors & textures that mask the meat & cheese. The Junior burger is sweet, very sweet as they put pineapple chutney on it which my mouth found confusing. They also put ground potato chips between the patty & bun which adds some interesting texture. Bottom line is if you like a sweet burger it is 5 stars, if you want a more traditional burger it is just 3 stars.

Great burger choice in the UCF area. Skip the chains and support local! The burgers are very flavorful and the sauces are unique. My personal favorite is the Zulu sauce but the pink sauce was a close second. The cheese they use is a nice sharp and balances the toppings well. As others have said the crunch of the potato chips is a nice texture. There is a lot going on in each bite!

This place used to be amazing. Not anymore. I have visited the kirkman, lee vista, and alafaya location the last 3 months and feel their product quality went down. Heard similar comments from my friends.

My order came out completely wrong they added mayo and the bread was completely soggy and then the burger wasn't all the way cooked through I went back a second time and asked them to remake my order the second time they forgot the bacon and the bread was still soggy I would never go back

I've been to the Kirkman and Lee Vista Junior Colombian Burger locations and haven't had any problems. This location on 50 is horrible. The cashier girl up front is mad rude and gives you this nasty look when you ask her to clarify something on the menu. My sister only wanted one beef empanada, which on their wall menu near the stool chairs says comes in a quantity of one or six. She only wanted to order one, since we were getting burgers and didn't know how they would've tasted. The girl up front tells us with an attitude "you can't order only one with beef, it only comes in six." We're lost because on their other menu it clearly says you can order one beef empanada. Whatever, why are we arguing with this lady about empanadas anyways?? We'll order the six then. We also grab a a burger meal and the cups are now in your generic clear plastic cups. What happened to those tall white cups they used to give out?? Downgrade much? The burgers were good, but the fries were overly dry with barely any seasoning on them. The pricing is also ridiculous as a meal can cost you almost $10! Anyways, we were disappointed by the service here and don't want any of their business.

I started having these burgers after they first left the food truck and opened on Kirkman. From my first burger I was hooked! The burgers have such a unique taste and I love the pineapple sauce and potato chip combo. Don't be scared off by trying something new, because you will be missing out. The Kirkman location is a little far for me which is good because I would have eaten there all the time, but now that the store is right down the street from me on Alafaya trail I will be making more trips. The atmosphere is really fun, this location is immaculately clean, and their burgers are always consistent. You would be insane not to try these burgers!

OMG... went to see if all the reviews were right. THEY ARE!!! I have driven by a million times, but may never have dropped in. Hubby had the Chicken burger burger and I had the Single Everything. We did combination with fries and drinks. Plenty of fries and good, too. (Seasoned.) We will be back!

Not the best burger in Orlando. The meat is not bad but all the stuff they put on it masks it. Maybe patties are not as big. They put crushed potato ships on the burger which is their thing but its greasy enough on its own. The fries are pretty decent. way better than some popular burger chains. The food came out fast and was fresh. there are a bunch of sauces to choose from as well. Its a very nice experience if you want to try something different but I don't see this place being a regular stop for me.

The burgers are so good here, especially the one with a hot dog. Very interesting seasonings.

  • Jeff B.

People's love for this place confuses me. I'm not saying its bad I just don't understand how people can call this anything close to a great burger. Come here knowing that you're coming for the sauces. The burger is a machine made frozen patty with very little flavor and that store bought frozen texture. There is an array of sauces though that give the burger flavor and actually make it alright. The potato chips (seemingly a classic Colombian topping) also give it an interesting texture. The fries are alright, decent battered ones but when I got them they were a bit under done. I also found the prices to be a bit high considering the quality. Because this location used to be a Pioneers they have a small little bar area in the back with a few taps and a couple of bottle beer selections. Overall, not too shabby.

Junior Colombian Burger is popular among Orlando locals not just because of their great tasting burgers and relaxed atmosphere all of their locations offer but also from its startup: Junior was a food truck. Starting as a food truck servicing the late night cravings of those wishing to get a burger better than Steak and Shake could offer at 3 a.m Juniors was born. Now with three (correct me if I'm wrong) locations they take the top spot for burgers in Orlando. I can agree with many that the beef is not the highest quality out there, then again you're not paying top bucks for it- so shut it. Their pineapple sause and pink (mayo and ketchup) give the burger a sweet taste that counters the potatoe chips crunch. Its a place to not only try, but also frequent. Don't miss out.

  • Trevor S.

This is not one of the best burgers in Orlando. I'm really surprised at all of the positive reviews here. I love trying new food, but this just didn't do it for me. The ground beef is disappointingly flavorless and low grade. The sweetness of the pineapple sauce and the saltiness of the crushed potato chips can't mask that. I noticed that the cooks in the kitchen were precooking dozens of burgers at a time (even though there were only 10 customers around) and storing them in a plastic bin on top of their cutting board. Not fresh and certainly unsanitary. Stay away from the kabobs. The beef was tasteless and extremely tough. The arepas were bland and so were the fries. They have a lot of sauces, which is a cool concept, but no amount of sauce can hide mediocrity. They need to step up their game. Toast the buns. Buy better beef. Hire people who know how to properly grill. You can find a much better burger for about the same price at Oblivion, Graffiti Junktion, Johnny's Fillin' Station, or Five Guys.

Bland bland burger. Variety of sauces to add some flavor, but none thrilled me. My "favorite" was the green garlic sauce. Still did little to help out the burger itself, which had no flavor. Fries were okay.

A good fast food burger. I got the #3 double burger. Not as good as in and out or five guys. It was a little too sweet for me because they add a pineapple paste.

  • Juliet P.

Went here for lunch today and got the cheeseburger combo, just the single. It's huge! They have all different types of sauces, like pineapple, BBQ, garlic, and pink sauce. And potato chips come on top of the burger, which I love! However, the burger is very messy and ends up being a little soggy with all of the sauces. I don't think much flavor comes from the burger, just from the chips and sauces. The fries were crispy and hot, and seasoned well. I would come back but might want to get my sauces on the side. Service was fast and very friendly!

AWESOME BURGER! I have been to several locations before and I am so happy that Junior has moved closer to my house! I got a double burger with everything and I believe this is a better burger than IN N OUT on the West coast! I love the garlic and pineapple sauces! I can't say enough good things about this place. Open til 4am for all of the late night cravings!

This is the kind of burgers, empanadas, quesadillas, pinchos, maizitos(sweet corn dish with mozzarella cheese chicken or beef or mixed with potato sticks) that you will not be able to find anywhere else. If you doubt this just ask the manager to let you see the kitchen at any of their locations, it is the most detailed and cleanest kitchens in the state or any where you go... Not just the amazing flavorful food, but coming out of the cleanest commercial kitchen you will ever see.... And that makes me very happy. The staff is very friendly and they show the pride they have to work for this company. This will be the next big American/Latin American restaurant in the USA... I have no doubt about that. Try it your self!!!

Is this the cleanest most gourmet burger in the area? No. But is the flavor and taste good? Yes! I see people posting about frozen patties... When probably half of the places use frozen meats in the area. I had the turkey burger with no sauce and it was great. I love the idea of chips on the burgers. Also, I enjoyed dipping my fries in the variety of sauces. No complaints and will be back soon!

So the place kinda stands alone in a very big plaza behind the Midas car shop. I was surprised at how chic it was in here. The girl who took or order was really cool and explained to us what came on the burgers, it sounded really good!!! Me and my dining buddy ordered the single burger combo. We tried all the sauces at the sauce bar: pineapple, jalapeno, chipotle, salsa roja, garlic, and Zulu. I personally liked the roja abd Zulu. My buddy liked the pineapple and chipotle. YUM! They give you a pager for when your food is ready, pretty cool for a low key place. The food was ready and these burgers are huge and stuffed with goodies!! Different sauces, potato chip crumbles. The fries was a good amount seasoned with paprika! After polishing off that bad boy we ordered the churros with condensed milk dip...wow...much good....such taste!! Yes....I went doge....that's how good it was!! I'm definitely saying peace to five guys...oblivion be aware!!
