I decided to try Italian village pizza on a whim while shopping at the Walmart neighborhood market next door. I ordered a 14" pie with black olives and walked over to Walmart to do my shopping. When I was done shopping my pizza ready and sitting on top of the pizza oven. Total was only $9, cheaper than most chain pizza joints. I took my pizza and was on my way back home to eat it. I knew the pizza was going to be good when I stopped for gas and, upon re-entering my car, was hit by a deliciously overwhelming pizza smell. My mouth literally started watering. When I got home I didn't even put my groceries away and went right for the pizza. It was as good as it smelled. This is real New York style pizza. As previously stated in another review, a solid 4 stars, I would almost give it 5, but something is not 100% there, I think it's in the dough. Regardless, this is my new go-to pizza place considering my close proximity.

Great neighborhood pizza & Italian restaurant! They have daily specials and affordable prices. The food is good quality also. I haven't tried anything that I didn't like yet!

I placed my order on-line so I could get the free order of garlic knots ($2). After it said it would be about 45min, the waiting game began. After 1 hr I started looking up reviews (something I should have done before ordering) everything was good but this type of thing makes me suspicious because they were all written the same way. anyway, after 1 1/2 hr I called to cancel my order. The manager gave me my money back. Sorry to say this will be the last time I order from this place. ARE YOU LOOKING FOR GOOD NY STYLE PIZZA?GIOVANNI'S IS THE BEST!

The pizza is delicious but my favorite item on the menu is the Gyro Salad... yessir... a lamb gyro - in salad form!! Get this with a side of tzatziki sauce and you'll feel like a winner!

Yay, finally a local delivery place that actually has good pizza AND garlic knots! We love the Philly cheese steak, and Hawaiian pizza.

I primarily went to this place because of the reviews on here. The pizza wasn't the best ever but it was a very good value. Would recommend the lunch special. One drink and two, one topping pizzas for $4.99. Delivery is only within 5 miles of the store though. It can definitely get pretty busy at night due to the limited indoor space so be expecting a packed house if you attend during the evening.

This is one of the best authentic-style pizza joints I have found in FL and definitely the best in the area. Their village roll, which is pretty much a scored stromboli, is packed with cheese and meats cradled in a thick, flaky crust. Another reason I really like this place is they have great cheese steaks. I am from PA and let me tell you it is really hard to find a good one so far south but IVP is one of the best here for sure. I'm not sure if their ingredients are all fresh but it tastes amazing so I wouldn't complain. Good stuff.

I've ordered from here a few times and have never been disappointed. They have a pretty good chicken parmigiana but their cheese pizza is my favorite. It's blended cheeses topped with garlic and is pretty tasty! They have a full menu so be sure to check them out if you live in the area.

Pizza is great, the garlic knots are the bomb, and the people who work and own it are fantastic! They even have a frequent customer card and text offers for deals and discounts. Canolis are also fantastic! Definitely a place to come for a quick slice and friendly folks, with delicious food!

Decent spot to drop in and grab a slice. Stopped by with my son who was being his normal bratty self and couldn't decide if he wanted a regular slice or a pepperoni slice. The young lady working there engaged him in conversation and he made up his mind asking for pepperoni. He gave her the "sad boy puppy dog eyes" and she asked if he wanted a drink to go with his pizza. He sisnt respond, but she gave him a small drink at no charge. I thought that was great customer service and she had a very pleasant and welcoming demeanor. I had 2 Sicilian corners which were above average. Not incredible, but definitely edible. Crispy outside and slightly soft (mushy) on the inside, but all around a decent meal. The place is clean and a decent size to eat in with family, as long as it's not crowded. I would recommend this place and plan on coming back with the rest of the family based on my experience and to try a fresh made pie. Ymmv...

Had been looking for a pizza that came even "this close" to Jersey pizza and found it here. Delivery is always LESS time then quoted and folks at the counter and on the phone are great!!

Not from around here. It's a shame because I would definitely keep coming back. I ordered to cheese slices. They were cooked perfectly. cheese and sauce were perfect and the crust had the right thinness and crisp. Reminded me of my hometown NY

How did this place even get 3 1/2 stars? This was quite possibly the worst pizza I've ever eaten (and I've had some pretty bad pizza). I spent $31 on two pizza's, one was half sausage, half pepperoni, the other was half ricotta and half meatball. I placed the order online, it took about an hour and a half to get delivered. I open the box and it looks like the pizza had been sitting out for a while. It was overdone, and barely sliced. The pizza sauce was tasteless. I don't know if it was pizza sauce or massive amounts of grease. The crust had bits of char on it, that was about the only taste I got, and it was terrible. I still feel sick from eating this. The meatball and sausage pizza tasted terrible, like the meat was precooked and microwaved. the ricotta pizza tasted like someone put chef boyardee cheese ravioli all over the slice. The pepperoni was halfway decent, had it not been for the horrible sauce and overcooked crust. This pizza was so bad, I literally just finished eating and ran to yelp to tell you all how horrible this pizza was. Save your money, if you live close to downtown, do Anthony's Pizza, that place is awesome. La Bella in Baldwin park is good too. If you want good pizza, do not do this to yourself. I feel so ripped off... and sick.

So I tried this place out as there home base is a city known for pizza (no not New York or Chicago) but yet a city with a legendary pizza place or 2.. I challenged Ryan the owner to remind me of that legendary place we talked about and he delivered.. Best pizza I have ever had outside of that place back home that I leave nameless as this review is not about there... Pizza was perfectly cooked just the right amount of toppings and sauce (yes could have been a bit more sauce but perfect for me). Crust was not burnt and nice and crispy... Will be going back there as long as I am living nearby..

Some of the best hot wings I've ever had! Pizza is pretty good too. I've had the calzones and they did not disappoint. Delivery always gets here faster than they say it will. Only thing that I think they mess up is the garlic knots. I won't be ordering those again. But everything else I've tried has been delicious!

for an ok pizza, i would not recommend at all if you need delivery. It took 2 hours to get the order delivered when it was supposed to be an hour and as a good business should , a signficant discount to the order was the appropriate response which they did not do. There are better places in the area with better customer service

The pizza was good. The garlic knots were very good, nice & soft. Ordered Parmesan wings and they weren't too flavorful. Overall, positive experience.

Terrible pizza. This pizza is actually worse than dominos or papa johns. Chewy crust, too much pepper in the sauce, etc. it's also very expensive. To top it all off it almost felt like I was bothering the employees at the store during my food pick up I don't even thing we got a hello. Also, the woman who took my order over the phone seem bothered by my phone call to the store, she then told me to hold and hung up on me. I don't think this place will stay open too much longer.

If I could rate a place with NO stars I would. The customer service alone was enough to drive me away. Heads up, the menu linked to this restaurant here IS NOT CORRECT. When I called to order, 3 of the items I requested received a response of "we don't have that", in an incredibly rude voice of a young girl. So I double checked to make sure I had indeed called the correct phone number listed here, yes I had- the same girl answered. So I told her that the manager should probably update their menu to not disappoint customers on the future and I was abruptly hung up on. I took it upon myself to drive over to this address listed since the girl kept insisting "that is not our restaurant on yelp, it's someone else using our phone number"... Well just as I thought the address brought me right to Italian Village Pizza in the Wal Mart plaza, where a deer in headlights looking girl awaited. I showed her their restaurants yelp page and menu and asked to speak with a manager to sort out the confusion- because it would be benefiting them after all. There was no manager on site, so I told the young girl to never hang up on customers and to have a good night. Save yourself the confusion and go next door to Napolis where you will be greeted by a LOVELY lady with a thick Italian accent. The food is beyond amazing and authentic.

Pizza is good if you pick up yourself because the Delivery guys are awful. Pizza shows up with all toppings screwed up, delivery isn't usually on time. Not really worth 20-25 bucks unless they deliver properly.

A strong 4 star pizza place... Really great customer service. Very tasty slices, although they are a bit smaller than most places that do slices. I was full upon leaving though, so nbd! The garlic knots looked great though I didn't try them this time. One table nearby was enjoying salads that also looked fresh and inviting. Only 6 tables for dining, so during lunch rush you may be playing musical chairs with Paco the Electrician or a Nurse named Rosa. I'll be back soon hopefully. p.s. The company mascot looks like Frank Zappa. Bonus!

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pizza from the restaurant. I have had trouble finding a good restaurant for pizza in Orlando, and this met Tue bill one hundred percent. Great to find a place which is not a chain! My whole family enjoyed outer dinner, even my picky little sister. Try the sausage pizza, it was awesome! When I order delivery, I usually go with a chain that allows me to order online, but next time I will be ordering from here again.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
