If you want good pizza, this is where you go! The dough used here is one of the best that I've had in town. Fresh, crunchy, with a hint of sweetness. Not dry, not too soft but just right. Perfect if you ask me. When trying a new place I always try a slice of cheese first to determine how good the foundation is before smothering it with toppings. Cheese, sauce, and crust can all be evaluated fairly this way. This passed the test. Honestly, you don't really even need any toppings, a slice of cheese is just right. If you choose to add toppings it makes pizza even better. (try the gyro meat it's pretty good!) I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to have good pizza Stop in and have a taste for your self

Lots of food options. Great location and service. The shop is nice, quiet, and very clean. My go to place for a good chicken caesar salad. Love their unique pizza options; my favorites are the Grecian Delight and the Bruchetta!

Having house of pizza being recommended by a coworker I was extremely satisfied with the overall experience! From start to finish the service was amazing not to mention the food. The garlic knots was amazing they were so soft and warm with so much flavor we ordered chicken wings as well with medium sauce that was to die for and the pizza oh my gosh the best there is and I have been to New York and Italy and house of pizza Grecian pizza was better! A great recommendation and will def be back

Stopped by after our visit to Gatorland and was VERY VERY happy with our choice. I'm traveling with two adults, a teen and an eight year old. We ordered a 16" cheese pizza with half pepperoni along with 4 fountain drinks and the total was just under $24.00. Pizza was delish! Fair slices and we even had left overs. Service was ok - nothing fancy about the place so we didn't mind. But for any families looking for a place to go after Gatorland this is a good choice

The owner was out talking to the customers. Nice guy! I have not been here in awhile since we moved away. Was driving past at the right time (lunch), had stop & get a gyro!!! Was tasty as I remember! Very good gyro..... have had their pizzas in the past & they were always good. Nice to eat in the dining room.... clean tables & chairs. Would stop again when back in the area.

Very happy to find another place that delivers to Wetherbee Rd. The Grecian delight pizza is wonderful! They are a lil pricier than other pizza places, but the Grecian is packed with toppings. Delivery has a surcharge around $2.

Best pizza place in hunters creek. Pizza is consistently good. Wings are average at best. We've tried all the pizza places near here and HOP has gotten our business over and over again.

Pizzas are to "greasy" (to much oil) and takes like 40 minutes just to make two slices of pizza. Not a bad place but it could be better.

    (3)
  • Chad E.

Food is good but they advertise delivery. 3 out of 4 times I've had to pick it up. On Sunday night I call at 8:10 and the say they are closing early. Would recommend a slice of pizza instead. Just as close. Food as good or better. And they actually deliver!

The ambience is not super and it is easy to miss if you don' t know where it is. Pizza is not bad at all. If you have never been here before the whole ordering process is a bit confusing. They give you menus and the you order at the counter, sit down and they bring it out to you. The people that bring you your food are not REALLY waitstaff. They do not bring condiments or utensils. They just walk your pizza to the table. We had a thin crust pie . There were plenty of toppings and they are not stingy with the cheese. The ambience is odd I sort of feel like I'm eating in someone's basement rec room. I think this is more of a take out place than a sit down eat here place. I enjoyed the pizza and would not mind ordering from here for pickup or delivery. The prices are reasonable as well

The owner is a great guy with a great business! Me and my boyfriend love coming here and the food is delicious! Best place for a gyro! Taste like up north! The calzones are huge!!! They have a great basic lunch special and it's honestly my favorite place for a slice!

    (5)
  • MaryAnn K.

Being from up north I miss the good NY style pizza. The pizza here is similar to what I grew up with up north, it's great! I wish I lived closer so I could have it more often, it's definitely one of the best pizzerias in town!!!

This is the first time we eat pizza from here. Here are my 2 cents: PROS: Location: across the street from Gatorland on OBT - hard to see from the street unless you know it's there. Cleanliness: all seemed clean and well kept. Staff: friendly and nice. Food: Pizza was great, chicken wings were awesome and calzone was good, big and nicely done. CONS Ambiance: It definitely needs some personality, the eat in section looks like a waiting room or a hospital cafeteria... some color may be nice there. Speed: Prepare to wait... if you're eating in, at least 35 minutes for your order. The food is worth the wait, but if you're starving, or in a rush, forget it... The only con i found with the food was the baked ziti. I expected a nice hearty thock tomato sauce baked in with the pasta and it wasn't. the pasta was ok but the sauce was runny and not mixed well with the pasta all the way through. I don't know if it's always like that or the food was rushed... either way, they see like they could use a larger oven and more people to serve on the weekends. Overall good with some kinks to work out. my tip: call ahead and order your pizza to go...

I had pepperoni pizza here a few days ago and it was really good. I have noticed the same inconsistencies noted by someone else. I chock it up to this being a fairly young business and I will keep them in my rotation because the food is usually good and the service is friendly.

The pizza here is pretty good but they seem to have quality control issues. Sometimes I could tell that they have changed the sauce or the cheese. Other times the dough is a little off. Not sure what's going on here but their pizza is not consistent. When it's good, I really enjoy it, but you never know when you might get one of those off days and for me that's not acceptable. My wife has banned them, but I may try them one more time.

Thanks to Enrique Perez for suggesting this place to me. This is located near Gatorland and has been here for six years now. The phone rings off the hook. We sat here and enjoyed the ambience tonight. It's been a rough week, but we always have time to eat and enjoy the evening with some good food. Love the dining area. I feel like I am in an office. Love it. How have they kept the carpet so clean for so long? All the staff here are very friendly. Hot Garlic Wings. This was suggested by staff. Spicy and flavorful. You could smell the garlic five tables down. White House Pizza. Ricotta, Olive oil and garlic topped with mozzarella cheese and fresh herbs. Sausage and Bacon Calzone. Wow. This was huge. Had to get it with bacon. I could only eat half of it. Delicious! Chicken Alfredo with Garlic Knots. @Xobejm picked this one tonight. She loved it. Zeppolies. I love Orlando and the beautiful people in this world. Todd and his family were here and ordered these and came by and gave me some of his Zeppolies because he was given too many. Thanks man. Perfect stranger being cool. Not often do you find nice people. Highly recommend this place. The place is clean and the service is awesome. Come and check them out for yourself.

This place has awesome pizza, BUT...The time it takes to make them takes extra ordinarily long. Usually 1 hour from time order is placed by phone and now BVL (5.5 miles away) is too far to get pizza delivered. WHAT!? Hope your Hunters Creek crowd can support you, meh!

  • Angie S.

I have to agree with other reviews about the inconsistancies. There are times when the pizza is to die for and others when it is just ok. I would have to say that most of the time it is wonderful. The gyros are tasteful and fresh. I also enjoy the cookies they get from Bakery Boys of New York. The decor inside is really simple perhaps some color on a wall would make it more inviting. The times that I have gone there, it is always clean and I always notice someone cleaning tables. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Best place in the area! Forgot to mention that I also love the fact that they don' t use cornmeal on the crust.

I tried House of Pizza not too long ago and had the buffalo chicken pizza - it was delicious! The restaurant is a nice, comfortable layout with a "homey" feel to it and the staff is very friendly. I can't wait to go back and try one of the gyros I have read about!

We ordered an 18" pie with pepperoni and an order of garlic knots. There were only three of us and we ate the whole thing!! This was the best pizza we had since we left New York fifteen years ago. Friendly people, clean dining room, reasonable prices. We can't wait to try the 29" pie.

Being from NY, I consider myself a pizza expert. I stopped in here for a slice (or 2) before leaving town and enjoyed 2 slices. This is my 2nd time here since they opened almost 2 years ago (I think). It is definitely not the 10th best slice that I have had but if you need a pizza fix, their slices are better than some of the dozens of fake "NY Style" joints that abound in the Orlando area. So if you are hungry and drive by, stop in, enjoy a slice, it beats driving around hungry. Besides the space is open, airy, clean and the staff is friendly.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
