I know some folks may not be big fans of franchise style buffets but i just think certain people jump on the bash buffet band wagon. I am not one of those folks. Although the quality of some of the food may not be the best cuisine in the city, it is not bad and for all the food you can eat you cannot beat the price! I actually like Golden Corral. Their salad bar and dessert variety is pretty darn good. You have to try the bread pudding and carrot cake on the dessert bar, you wont be disappointed. Oh yeah, for those breakfast lovers, they have breakfast all day for the entire summer, (pancakes, french toast, eggs, bacon, etc..) I usually come here once a week for lunch and i will have a big salad or two...(= Golden Corral never disappoints. Dont be persuaded to dislike GC until you try it for yourself.

Golden coral is basically the typical buffet. So there is not much to say about the food. I will say that the staff is very friendly. Our hostess Melissa always made sure that we had great tea waiting a & there was always people cutting each other for the yeast rolls that were actually quite yummy. Melissa is a hard working woman. Promote her. Great customer service. Put her on your management team

Golden Corral does a family good I love going there with my wife and son. Good friendly atmosphere I especially like their fried okra. The desserts are always inviting.

Good is what you would expect from a buffet, nothing special. My daughter was disappointed that the chocolate fountain was broken and the served the chocolate in a giant metal bowl (not appealing) and they ran out of cotton candy mix so she wasn't able to have that either. Big disappointment!

Cannot complain- lotsa good food and good service This location seems to be well managed. This was my second visit. Was as good as the first. My son loves this place like no place else, currently. Happened to read golden corrals mission statement on the wall- said it was to provide good food at an affordable price. Mission accomplished! At $12 per head, one can never complain.

For the low value, it is a great place for you and your family to go to if you want to eat all the varieties of food. The barbecue chicken was particularly good. There are only four different ice-cream which I found weird. The tables are too close to each other. Come early because it gets super busy!

All I can say is... it's like going to Wal-Mart.

Save yourself the trouble, the quality of the food at this location is not good. I ate at noon sharp on a Tuesday. The following food items were either tough or cold or inedible: fish, Chinese style pork, Chinese-style chicken and eggrolls. My friend tasted her food and stopped eating. She tried a second helping of different food items and came up with the same results. She tried the green beans, pinto beans, Chinese rice, collard greens, and baked beans. The only things I tried that were delicious were the BBQ pulled pork and the fresh watermelon. The location in West Colonial is much better.

The best one. It has more of a selection to pick from. It's seems like I always come here and leave like it wasn't worth the time. But it looks worthy of of dinning there. Hard to explain. Anyways it's great for a big family that like to eat. If you are a picky eater or a light eater don't waste your money here. Great for kids. their sweets are good and plenty.

I cannot say that the five star rating I am giving is for the food, the ambience or even the bent utensils. I was planning on eating at my favorite Florida restaurant which of course would be Black Angus Steak House next to Cross Roads in Lake Buena Vista. Unfortunately because of severe weather conditions my choices were limited to the three restaurants near the Holiday Inn on Alafaya Trail and I did not want to eat at the Waffle House nor did I want to have dinner at Wendy's so I found myself at the Golden Coral. I was unimpressed with the food, and less impressed with the dessert, it took some time to select forks that were not bent out of shape and a steak knife (or let's call it a serrated butter knife). No sooner did I sit down before my waitress (Valerie) ran to my table, introduced herself and asked if there was anything I needed. The entire section was full with at least a dozen families with a dozen children, each with as many piles of dirty plates that would fit on their tables. Within minutes all those plates on all those tables were removed, tables cleaned and at no time did even one family feel for a moment they were being neglected by their server Valerie. As one family would finish their five or six desserts and call it a night, no sooner did they get ten feet from the table before Valerie was there again clearing the dirty plates, wiping down the table (and sometimes even the chairs), sweeping up the carpet, lining up the table and chairs, and greeting the next family seated in her section, never once taking a pause before running back to the other tables with coffee, drink refills and a pleasant smile. As a native New Yorker we are known to want things done quickly and it is something seldom seen in the laid back Sunshine State (Okay to be honest, something I have never seen in the 35 years that I have been visiting Florida... I mean if there is one person in front of you with three items at Publix it's considered a long line and at least 20 minutes before getting checked out). So my five star rating is not for the food or the decor at Golden Coral located at 11731 E Colonial Drive, but for the one Server named Valerie that did more work in the forty-five minutes I observed her working while I was having dinner than most people in Florida perform in an entire day.

I went on a Sunday, around noon time and I have no complaints. The food was typical Golden Corral food and the service was great. The place was clean and not crowded.

I'm still not a fan of Golden Corral, in general. I came here with because someone else wanted to. Although the amount of food may give a good bang for the buck, the taste/quality still doesn't do it for me. The majority of the food was bland except the baked chicken, which was too salty for me. The salad bar is ok. Neither the food bar or salad bar called to me for seconds. Oddly enough the chocolate cake and banana pudding were good. The young lady assigned to our table was nice. Overall, the experience was mediocre. I don't plan to return, if I can get out of coming.

Absolutely disgusting. I almost asked for my money back and I should have. My stomach felt awful for the rest of the day. The place is dirty and the food is gross. At least it's cheap.

I always leave this place hating myself. I over-eat and regret it immediately in the parking lot EVERY time! Their sliders are delicious served during lunch hours. They soak the buns in butter sauce and grill them so they're nice a crispy. It's my favorite item for lunch. They have a great selection of food, lacking protein during lunch though. It's around $8 for lunch, $11 for dinner if I recall correctly.

Came here for lunch with my husband! Only place I could think of that serves decent American comfort food around ucf. The food here isn't the best quality but there's a little be of everything to try out. The atmosphere here is much friendlier than any other golden corral I have ever been too. My server, Jasmine, went out of her way to help me exchange soda flavors. Even the costumers were nice! Normally I tend to avoid other customers while collecting my food but here we even threw a few jokes back and forth with them. The store is clean and shiny so I would recommend it for those unsure of what they'd like to eat.

I am not a buffet type of girl. I usually think buffet's are pretty disgusting actually. However, this has to be the clenaest buffet I have ever been too. The fact this place just opened this year helps. All the food was fresh and hot. The staff was friendly. The thing I want to stress the most here is CLEAN buffett with GOOD CHEAP FOOD.

I used to enjoy these places for comfort food, however quality and service has dropped significantly.

Breakfast is awful. Not sure what the sausage was. Coffee was bitter. Eggs where dry. Bacon was salty.

pros: New, clean cons: All the fried food were extra salty!!!!!! Every bite tasted like pure salt...The desserts were too sweet! (and I love desserts!!!!) I would not recommend or come back to this restaurant. If you want a quick heart attack due to the mass amount of sodium...by all means...come here. If your taste buds are still working....go somewhere else!!!

I can't believe I'm giving Golden Corral a three-star review. Maybe it's because this is the least painful low-end buffet experience I've had, aside from my memories of Shoney's as a 10-year-old kid ("Canned strawberries in a pie-crust?!" exclaimed my 10-year-old self. "Amazing!"). So here is my guide (created through a typically glutenous process of trial-and-error) to getting three-stars worth of food from this place. Ok, 2.5--they don't have 1/2 stars on Yelp. But the super-friendly staff pushed my rating over the 2 star line. Also, it's a fairly new location and it's very clean (well, cleaner than the clientele). And I'm a pretty nice guy, so I round up. FIRST: avoid fried food. Everything fried at the G.C. is disgusting and greasy. And--like most places of this caliber--they seem to use the same grease for everything, because everything kinda tastes like everything else. Spring rolls are pretty gross. In fact, all of the Chinese food is pretty nasty, so just avoid that area altogether. As for the "Tempura" onion rings--stay VERY far away. I think they were going for a Guinness world record for most salt and oil used in a single food dish (note: if a small stack of napkins can't soak up the grease from your onion ring, it's a lost cause). Hushpuppies were surprisingly good...but all else that is deep fried: AVOID. I didn't eat the fried chicken, so this may be an exception. INSTEAD: get grilled and roasted meats and baked goods. Most are fresh, and fairly tasty. We went during one of their prime rib specials, and the prime rib was actually pretty damn good. Rotisserie chicken was overly salty and tasted like it had been sitting out too long. Roast beef was pretty yummy. The real stars of the show are their yeast rolls, which are DELICIOUS. Just get some of these, some roasted meat, and some gravy and au jus, and make some sandwiches. Do not eat the cheese biscuits, however. It amazed me that a freshly-baked item could taste that stale and chewy after being out of the oven for only 15 minutes. SECOND: If it looks like it could come from a can or a box, it probably did. Their mac and cheese tastes exactly like Stouffer's. I suspect it actually is. So if you like Stouffer's, have at it. But don't expect anything truly homestyle. Their cornbread stuffing tasted like Stove Top, and their mashed potatoes tasted like a combo of fresh (hence the occasional lump) and dried/boxed. But if you smother them with enough tasty gravy, you're good to go. THIRD: Stockpile sweets. Aside from the rolls, the desserts are your next best bet here. Chocolate chip cookies are tasty, the fudge is yummy (of course, how badly can you really screw up fudge?), and the banana pudding is really REALLY good. It actually tastes like good ol' Southern church picnic pudding. So get a plateful of this while pondering the sanitary status of the chocolate fountain (sorry, "Chocolate Wonderfall": but, really it's more like a Hershey syrup mountain)--just make sure the banana pudding is fresh, it's worth the wait. And the picked over stuff is NOT appetizing. So, yeah. Eat a bunch of meat, and carbs, and sweets. (It's not like anybody came to an all-you-can-eat dive to eat healthy, right?:))

Kids love this place, not for the meals but for deserts. The food to me is subpar, I would recommend that if you go there don't try too many different foods. You leave feeling pretty sick. Not that you ate a lot but the foods don't mix well. The place is pretty new and attracts an odd crowd of customers. Crying kids and very loud college students. They cram so many people in there you can't help but fell closed in. The waitress is constantly coming to the table, to clear it. But to me it's more like trying to get the table cleared as fast as they can for the next crowd. Not a fan of any of the chicken entrees every thing they had reminded me of bad hospital food. The pizza looked like dough with sauce, didn't see much cheese on it. Deserts to me had no taste, just bland. People appeared to like it but what do I know. They seem to go for the unlimited buffet they offer, without regards to taste. It's a very hectic place to eat. Workers are constantly moving carts all over the place. Making it very difficult to get around not their fault but not at all professional. Just disorganized. One thing they seem to do right is make rolls, they were good. But I gotta say I almost threw up twice, once because I choked on some fat. The second time because I was overwhelmed by the different mixtures of salty food. I had to leave after that as I didn't want to get sick in there. I changed my star rating from a three, two then one. I didn't want to give such a low rating. But everything was so bad I had no choice. It's not the location it's a beautiful location, I've been tricked 3 times over the years to give this franchise a chance only to get sick to my stomach. We used to go to Barnhills on 17-92 that place ran much better, they didn't have the crowd corral does but the workers weren't constantly pushing carts. The food was also much better. This location is brand new, so everything is bright and shiny not sure how long they can keep that appearance with so much turnover. Not really interested in returning as I am trying to diet, and as bad as the food is here, it must have insane calories and fat. I remember well why I always leave golden corral and say to myself never again. Well that lasted over ten years till now. There are coupons on the website, but you can't use them there.

It was what you'd expect for an all you can eat. Lots of food- none healthy but all good. We'll go again next time were in town. Good wait staff.

The cleanest GC that I have ever been in. I saw the staff constantly cleaning the different stations and bars. I was very impressed at the diligence that they showed in maintaining the restaurant. As for the food, it was all cooked, fresh, and plentiful. Look the bottom line is that you don't good to a GC expecting a 5 star meal and you won't get one here, but you will get cooked food that offers a variety for the whole family. Compared to other GC's in the Orlando area, this one impressed me. I hope they keep the high standards.

Hey, I came for the salad bar and wound up enjoying a lot fo the other foods. This is one of the best GC's I've been to. Everything turns over quickly so always fresh on the colds and tasty and good on the hots. It's buffet, but it's done right. And at this price, it's still the best salad bar in town - with plenty of other things to go with it.
