I'd have to disagree with some of the other reviews here. The food was excellent, the service friendly, and the price was right ($58.30 for four people, two seniors and two adults). The selection was classic American/American Southern style food. Everything I had was flavorful and cooked to perfection, all the fruits and vegetables used were of peak ripeness. Two things that really stood out for me though were the chocolate fountain and the banana pudding. The chocolate fountain was a really fun finish to an excellent meal, something I'd imagine a lot of kids liking. The banana pudding...it was perfect. I wanted to take a bucket of it home with me. It was just so perfect in every way. I'm actually getting upset right now knowing I won't be having it anymore because there aren't any Golden Corrals around me. I'm impressed GC, I wish I could put a little gold star on your CEO's head.

I normally would have never eaten here. But it was out numbered! For what it was worth I was able to still get two children's priced meals. Whoop whoop. We made before all the fat families and church folk arrived. My niece left her IPhone. Yes, I know she is very irresponsible. But moving forward, it was returned. PTL I told her she better be thankful it was on a Sunday and people had just got of church and was feeling guilty. If was on any other day it would not have been returned.

We drove from Miami for a Universal Studios weekend getaway and after a long day at the park we checked the reviews for all the other GC's in the area, and this restaurant rated better them the others however the food is just a bad as all the other GC's... employees with attitude avoid this place !!!

Dump. Food poor to fair. Like walking around a zoo. Worst dessert section of all GC's. Slow , slow table service.

Good place for some cheap buffet food in Orlando. However, try to get there around the usual dinner time. Later in the day it seems they start to wrap up early and the quality starts to slip significantly. While eating there the fried chicken was partially raw and unappetizing while the vegetable side dishes were overcooked to the point that they would dissolve into mush at the slightest touch. For the last hour and a half the grill was manned but nothing was cooking and they didn't refresh the line for entrees that were missing. Desert wise this place offers cotton candy, fresh made ice cream, and a chocolate fountain in addition to the usual buffet deserts. However the cotton candy machine seemed to be the only one manned as the fountain clogged up with dropped food items and the ice cream was behind the counter with no one manning it. The cotton candy was probably manned full time because employees leaving would take 3-4 cones as they were leaving. Probably a great place to eat when the line is hot and things are cooking. Not so great when things wind down and the peak period is over.

I simply was not impressed. Even for a buffet. My husband insisted we come for breakfast... a meal I'm super picky about. So, I guess I'll just point out that this review is skewed because I am not a quality over quantity kinda gal when it comes to breakfast. I wish we had gone to ANY other restaurant, but nooooo, the man wanted to come here. I'll start by saying the place was outdated. Just the feel and style of it seemed like it was long overdue for a make over. I thought these chain places did that every few years or so. This place looked like it had set up shop in the 80s and not gone through any kind of refresh since then. But maybe I'm just cranky because I'm hungry.... I find the plates and am confused because I see salad and nachos.... what is going on here? I see some breakfast items in the corner and so I put a sampling of eggs, bacon, sausage (I kept picking through the sausage looking for one that didn't look totally dried out... no luck). I tried to spruce up my eggs with some grilled onions and peppers, but I had to scrap the bottom of the pan. *sigh* So, I bring my plate back and take about one bite of each item, and I have no desire to put a second bite of anything in my mouth. My daughter was actually adding salt to the bacon... and I thought WTH, so I took a bite of my bacon and realized it was missing that salty bacon goodness. My husband returns with a plate of pancakes and other baked items and I wonder how I missed all of that, so I literally tossed my plate aside and returned to the bar for a total redo. This time I selected corned beef hash, hash browns, deep fried bacon, a yeast roll and a cinnamon roll. Awww yea.... NOT SO FAST. The hash browns and corn beef hash were fine (you can't possibly mess up corned beef hash, so let's not dwell there). The deep fried bacon was TOO salty (I know, I know), the yeast rolls were actually hard on the bottom, my daughter got a piece of corn bread that looked like a hockey puck (she said it was hard and horrible), the grits were tasteless, the cinnamon roll was ok, the coffee was bitter. I couldn't take it anymore, and actually left hungry and wishing we had gone to Cracker Barrel or Waffle House. Here is what I think.... I would be willing to bet my last dollar that the bread items (the yeast rolls and corn bread) were left over and reheated from at LEAST one day, but quite possibly more like 2 or 3. I will NEVER return here for breakfast again, I might be willing to try lunch or dinner.... but NEVER EVER......... EVER again for breakfast. NEVER.

Whenever I'm in town, me and my friends come here to eat when there's a large group of us. My mother likes it because she can get a senior discount. We pretty much took over the back party room and we only had one server for all of us. We tipped her good because I know she was feeling overwhelmed and we helped her out as much as we could. The place was clean, the service was great, the food was good.

This restaurant is just around the corner from us.. Have been here for many years.. They recently renovated the place so it is more brighter.. For what you paid for.. It is not a bad place to take the families too.. The good is pretty good on most day.. They have very nice and friendly servers.. We go here so much that they pretty much recognized us and are great with the kids.

Nice building - friendly staff - so if you want to socialize - this could be your place. I don't mind the chitchat - but I wanted to eat! There was the problem - all my comfort food dishes that I get at Golden C - were empty!! Salad. Bar had 6 prepared salads - good -- they were all empty Bad! I went around to where the salad queen was talking to an obvious friend so I could ask her to refill the salads- but couldn't get a word in. Went to mng. And he got her moving. Cornbread was empty - baker said it was in line - I said no - he went to check - found it empty and went to back and brought out new batch. - mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, cabbage, broccoli - yep all empty. Took a bite of cornbread - it was cold!! I take away the GOLDEN and just call it a Corral - empty at that! Now maybe I hit them on a bad day - we all have them - but I have never seen such a bad case of bad day at GC. Hope they get it fixed. Until then - sorry guys - bad score!

WOW, absolutely despicable! The prime rib was RAW. Could not and would not eat it (well I am a certified safe food MANAGER), and I am not talking rare, I am talking RAW (only 1/4 of brown, if that, at exterior roast) bloody, raw and God only knows of its origin or handling. Other foods were bad to mediocre. Staff was lacking in pushing out product, like no chicken breast, not fried, not grilled, notta....only thighs and wings. I passed on the "cold" salad bar (prime place for pathogens). Place was FILTHY. I took a look inside their kitchen area and I would have fired (and immediately) everyone in the back. Food debris littered the floor. A hard look at their grills and stoves shows that they are less than clean, burnt on grease. Shame for these are expensive appliances (kids). The carpets were covered in food particles, appears no one had time to sweep in between rushes (although I would have insisted on "during"...with a "sweeper", not a vacuum). This is a newer G.C., I was in there right after their opening last year and this truly was a big clean beautiful buffet, quite impressive, now it is just a STY. I decided not to go to their bathrooms, however my companion did (male) and said it was a nightmare, completely trashed. DONE DONE DONE with Corporate America and their pig troughs. They truly get the customers they deserve (and the employees). OH I did request my money back from corporate....we'll see how that goes (ha).

Usually not a fan of buffets but the food here was pretty good. Lots of selection and quick service. Great for big groups. If I'm in the area and really hungry I would definitely come back. My favorites meatloaf, Mac n cheese, and bread pudding.
