When this place originally opened it had amazing service but now it's pretty poor. From the hostess right down to the waitress. The service is slow which doesn't make sense because you see staff standing around talking and joking around with one another. I've been holding off writing this review in hopes that my times here will get better because I was a huge fan of gators up in Gainesville. Unfortunately, it's only getting worse. I'm hoping things will pick up and get better for football season. It just a shame because the location is so close. The wings are a bit small and I wouldn't recommend the boneless because 9 times out of 10 they're about 70% bread. The food is always ok and the drink specials are great. The last time I even tried calling in an order they originally stated the "thunderstorms knocked out a bunch of orders" I ended up waiting 30 minutes for my pick up order and Common dockside please get it together, I'm pulling for ya!

This gets a 4 based on location and service. Right on the lake in a fantastic neighborhood. I wish it wasn't so cold, otherwise we would have enjoyed the patio. The food was expected, nothing phenomenal and the beer selection could definitely be better. Felt like a BWW type atmosphere, lots of families with children. Overall it was a good experience and I would go back.

This Gator's Dockside seems to be more spacious than other ones I've been to and seems to be newer as well. There are still tons of TVs and lots of sports fans. I'm addicted to the Peanut Butter & Jelly wings and got my friends hooked as well!

I used to love this chain! I used to drive to the Waterford Lakes location and I've always been satisfied with both the food and the service. When the location at Baldwin Park opened, I was overjoyed because this location is more conveniently located for me. The first time I went I was super surprised with how fast the service was. The last few times I've gone have been so bad that I honestly could never eat here again. The service was extremely slow, it took 90 minutes just to get seated, I partially want to attribute that to the fact that the hostess may or may not be slightly racist. There were African American patrons in my group and we were seated, only after having complained 3 times. Groups that were larger then mine were seated immediately and the only difference was that those patrons were Caucasian. I could look past the horrible hostess service, but then the waitress was slow, and rude, the food took forever to come out and it was cold. I also was served uncooked chicken. Needless to say, I will definitely not be coming back.

Great place to stop while on a nice bike ride and get some wings and beer. Good service love sitting on the patio and watching the games.

Came here a couple weeks for drinks and to watch a fight... the place was packed which I had expected, went to the outdoor bar and me and my friends were able to watch the fight and enjoy some drinks in a very comfortable environment. They have lots of TVs, loved the bar it was big and had outdoor and indoor seating. Will definitely go back to this place... maybe next time I can try their food

I love this place! Try the new yucatan sauce! It's soooo good! The 4 alarm suicide sauce will light you up, but it's tasty! The wingers lunch is the deal! Also the ahi tuna is yummy!

Average wings, food and service. The best part about this place is the scenic views, the large HD TV's all over the place.

The service at the bar is always very slow regardless of which bartender is working. It seems like there are always plenty of staff but most appear to be standing around doing nothing.

Nice layout. Great number of TV's. Good atmosphere. Service is friendly but usually very slow and un-attentive. Food is below average. Decent price on domestic drafts, but not always cold.

I have been to this establishment more than enough times and my review is based on multiple observations. I hoping that management will seriously consider executing my suggestions into their staff training! The first thing is the bar almost always had dirty areas where it was not cleared off and cleaned property. The last time I was there the bar was half empty and the majority of the bar was not cleared off! I had to push away the dishes and food debris off to the side and wipe it with napkins just to rest my hands on the bar! It took at least 5-10 min before they cleaned the bar. Please train your staff to clear/clean/wiped down after someone leaves so that the bar top doesn't look like the bottom of a dumpster. One time I brought a group of friends with me to the bar and we were completely ignored! We waited at least 5 min and the bar was more than half empty! We decided to leave after that experience. Another big pet peeve of mine is a poor attitude. Some of bartenders seem very unfriendly, annoyed, inattentive and overall lack social graces. I know they have to deal with idiotic customers from time to time, but would it hurt to crack a smile? Even some of the customers seemed very negative and slightly confrontational lol! A bad vibe all around! Personality and finesse goes a long way!!!! The place attracts a young, college audience which is fine if that's what you're looking for. Don't know if I'll be returning anytime soon, but when I do I would like too see improvements!! Come on management, please promise me that you will step up your game and crack down!

Go-to for lunch, dinner, beers! Great service. Sit at the bar and the friendly bartenders always take great care of you! We love the burgers, the wingers, the sandwiches, the salads, the appetizers, EVERYTHING! Great beers on draft and they're always cold! :)

The worst service I have ever experienced! They held a table for 40 people that never showed up as our party of 9 waited over and hour. We saw them seat a party of 7 at a high top near the bar that was set for 4 of the party of 40 yet they refused to let us sit to get food. We waited patiently for over an hour spending money at the bar but wouldn't let us sit at one of their 8 open tables. I spoke to 3 managers who gave me the worst response ever that was totally disrespectful. I will never eat at this place! Complete garbage.

  • Sumaya A.

I had their Philly cheesesteak and it literally hit the spot. They were kind enough to let me switch the fries that come with it with a different side, which was the potato salad. The waiter was patient as we had to keep getting constant refills for our drinks. I'd definitely recommend this place to a friend! Their wings are also yummy.

Better than most sports bar food. The fish dip is a must! Usually those are a miss more me, but this one is definitely a MUST. Visited recently again and the service was excellent despite a very busy, hiding from the rain crowd. Will go again.

We mostly came for the primo view. There are so many lakes in the Orlando area but not enough lakeside bars! Struggling to think of somewhere to go, Gator's finally popped into my mind. It has a large covered patio facing the lake and the busy goings on of the passersby. Now I can't speak for the food today because we strictly stayed on the drink menu and draft list. There were a few things that caught my eye food-wise but the majority here is fried and typical bar food type offerings of wings, burgers, etc. Our main complaint was that service was slow. We were here on a weekend afternoon between lunch and dinner so there was no rush that should have been keeping anyone away. Maybe just because we were outside we were not a high priority based on our order value. Drink specials were decent but nothing exceptional. Monday night is a big night here for All You Can Eat Wings.

Horrible service. It took them over twenty minutes to take our drink order after being seated. Then, it was another fifteen minutes before our waitress took our food orders. The food was just average. The facility is very clean and the outdoor patio is really nice. If you do go, I would recommend the spinach and artichoke dip. That was the best thing that we tried. Not a bad place for appetizers and a beer, but I would not recommend it for a full meal.

My wife was not feeling her best this morning but since she was feeling better in the afternoon, I asked her to join me at Gators Dockside. I figured she could work on her studies while I met with a client. Unfortunately, my client was unable to make it so we chose to get something to eat there. As my wife was working on her studies I chose to get some food. I had not realized that they had changed bartenders while I was working on my computer. I noticed that the WIFI was unusually slow but since I was just checking email and working offline, it was not a big deal. When I spoke to my wife, I found out it made it hard for her to access her online material. I asked about the soup of the day and clam chowder is not one of my favorites so I asked about what he thought about the fried pickles and gator tail. To my surprise I was told that the portion of gator was not worth the money and to get the fried pickles. I have had the gator and the portion was appropriate in my opinion but I opted to go with his recommendation. That was the first time I had a server at ANY Gator's DOWN SELL their menu. I had already made up my mind that I wanted the Sauteed Shrimp Mac n Cheese. My fried pickles came up in about 15 minutes and I have to say... They were amazing. Usually you get wimpy pickles with a thick breading but the pickles I was served were nice and thick. The breading was a bit thicker than expected but given the thickness of the pickle slices, it was perfect. The breading was lightly seasoned allowing the flavor of the pickle to be the star. The ranch dressing to dip it in could have been a bit thicker but with or without the ranch dressing, they were good. Next up was the Sauteed Shrimp Mac n cheese and I was not expecting anything special but I like a pleasant surprise. The shrimp were a bit past the "Pop" but had a nice flavor. The pasta was just a wee bit past al dente and for a dish like this, that is expected. The cheese sauce had a nice flavor and was not overly salty. I was pleased with it but not blown away. While I was almost done with my meal, one of the managers, Mike P. came over to check on me. He was very interested in my feedback and not at all defensive. Mike and his other manager were candid about the reason for the slowness and it was understandable. Sometimes things happen that are beyond control and to be fair, this was the first time it has ever been slow. After my wife returned, I asked him to come over and let her inform him about the lack of service on one section of the patio. It affected 3 tables tables and he seemed genuinely concerned about that. He had a fire going on and needed to go handle business but it is easy to see that he is a very good manager. My wife ordered some wings but since she did not let me taste them or take a pic of them, they are not getting Yelped... lol But I will say... She picked every piece of meat off the bones... *wink* Overall, Gator's runs a tight ship. I have tried most of the food at 2 of their locations and have never had to send anything back. In all of my trips to this location, the service is CONSISTENT from where I sit and that is important. Their grilled wings, burgers and gator tail are MY personal favorites....

All I did was drink here, but the service and the view were phenomenal. We didn't feel rushed to leave, and we really felt relaxed. The drinks are cheap, the view is right.. Great place to unwind. The daily specials looked good too. I'd like to come back on a Wednesday where they feature all you can eat boneless wings and fries for $10.99.

I always feel like I've gone back to college and a frat party when I come to Gators Dockside. We brought a friend from Houston to the Stepford-Wives-ish Baldwin Park because he was craving boneless chicken wings. I think a boneless chicken would be a sacrilege, but it's what he wanted.... We sat on the patio which is a little quieter than inside the main restaurant. We had fried gator tail as an appetizer. It tastes like chicken with the consistency of calimari. The breading was light and flavorful. I had a side salad with ranch dressing, French fries, and 10 wings (buffalo, grilled, all flats). Houston Boy got 6 boneless wings with the hottest sauce available. A third person had the California chicken sandwich. We all complained that the fries were a little heavy with the salt. But everything else was good. My wings were a touch greasy to have been grilled, and the buffalo sauce was a little too light. That doesn't mean I didn't eat every one of them with my blue cheese dressing though. The highlight of dinner was Houston Boy's expressions as he ate the boneless wings with the hottest of the hot sauces. It took him 40 minutes to get through 6 wings. The struggle is real. He cried. He sweated. He said they were great, but the rest of us were too scared to try them. A good neighborhood bar with hot wings and lots of televisions showing sports. What's not to like? The only reason they lose a star is because the server seemed more into socializing with co-workers than bringing more water for our burning Houston Boy.

The only thing that you need to know is all you can eat wings on monday starting at 6pm! This is a go to monday dinner for me and my friends but I recommend getting there as close to 6 as you can because some weeks can end up getting pretty busy. I believe its about ~$12 for the all you can eat wings (ranch/blue cheese dressing are extra). My favorite sauces are medium bbq, traditional, parmesan garlic, and scooter every once in a while. Try the wings grilled... its my favorite :)

Pretty good wings!! You can't beat their wing night deals...AYCE bone in or boneless wings on Monday, and on Wednesday only boneless but includes fries. Really enjoy their barbecue and traditional flavors. They have pretty good drink specials as well.

I've been to numerous Gator's locations around town and love that I have this option sorta close to home if we are craving wings. It was my first time here and , for the most part, a good one. I ended up here sorta late with a few girlfriends. I was the odd man out as I don't watch football but my gal pals did. So they were stoked that it was Thursday night football. The place was packed. And apparently this is where all the UCF folks watch their team play. Super fun environment. We were seated in the main dining room area and I really loved how open it was - no crammed together tables and booths. There are televisions hung everywhere and a variety of sporting events were being shown so there's something for every sports fanatic out there. Food was pretty decent for a sports bar. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich with seasoned fries. Really hearty as I had half to take home . A friend ordered the peanut butter & jelly wings. Soooo good. I'm gonna have to order those for when I take my husband here next time. Another friend had the philly cheesesteak and seemed pretty pleased with her meal. Our server did the usual checking in on us but there were a few gaps of wait time that were longer than expected. Granted, it was a busy football night so I should take that into consideration. Single ladies- head here too. Lots of big groups of guys....and I'm sure some single ones ready to mingle...just saying! I've read all about the amazing views and outdoor deck but since it was late we didn't get to enjoy any of it. There's always next time!

There's a lot working for Gator's Dockside, but there are a few things that left a bit to be desired. The location is top notch- right at the best part of New Broad, just in front of Lake Baldwin. I didn't have any trouble finding parking, but had I needed to park a block or two away, I would have been more than happy with the walk! They have a hug spot and it is filled with TVs, bars, and windows (a big plus!). Outdoor seating abounds and even if you're inside you get to enjoy tons of natural light. We were there on a Wednesday, which meant that there was trivia going on, but only 12 teams and it wasn't too loud for us not playing along. I ordered the fish dip which was pretty good. It had a great, smoked flavor and they served us quite a big scoop. It came with cracker packets, which I thought was a bit odd at first, but when taking some to-go I realized that they'd stay crisp, so there's that! My big disappointment was with one of their signature dishes (designated on the menu)- their fried gator bites (an appetizer). As a signature item I had admittedly high hopes. The dish that came out had limp, soggy morsels and a honey mustard dip. Now, I only order fried food when I want to be sinful and have a great salty crunch, but this was entirely lacking from the dish. Is it only a signature dish because the place is called Gator's? I hope they work on this to make sure their highlighted dishes are really something to be proud of. My last qualm might not be shared by everyone, but I was really turned off by the screens facing us that were tuned in to MMA fighting. It was very bloody- so much so that I actually changed seats so as to get it out of my line of sight. I am all about sports on at a sportsbar, but it was a bit too gory for dinner!

Gator's is one of my go-to places for wings. I love that you have the option of grilled wings, and there are so many different sauce flavor options. I was recently introduced to the peanut butter and jelly flavor, which is pretty awesome. I would normally order the medium buffalo sauce or parmesan garlic with a side of celery and ranch. If you are not in the mood for wings (not sure how that is possible, but to each his own...), the philly cheese is another favorite here. They use white American cheese on their philly cheeses, which may not appeal to those from Philly, but I think it's quite tasty. Their salad selection always looks good, but I have yet to order one, as I am usually here to eat junk food and watch football. This is also a great place to catch a game, as there are tvs everywhere. This location does not seem to be as busy as others, but it is also a pretty large space. I have never had to wait for a table so far. My one complaint about this particular location is how loud it is. It's hard to carry on a conversation without yelling. I think there is something about how the place is laid out, because I remember having this same problem at the bar that occupied this space before Gators. So don't expect to carry on much of a conversation, just stuff your mouth with some wings and watch some football!

I waited to write this review after 3 visits here. The first time I ordered take out at about 12 Midnight, after leaving a party. I live in Baldwin Park, so it's great to have a place within walking distance that serves food so late. I've always been a fan of Gator's wings at other locations, especially their grilled wings. So I ordered them again from past experiences. When I got home, I noticed the quality of the wings were so so, as in smaller than usual compared to the great Gator's wings I've had in the past. My only guess is it was the end of the day and they gave me the runt wings from the bottom of the barrel. The second time was during lunch on a weekend. The place was pretty crowded and we were lucky to get a seat outside. I again ordered the grilled wings, with the hot garlic sauce. I'm not sure what happened, but I must have received the wrong order, because they weren't grilled and weren't hot garlic. I was so hungry at the time, that I just accepted what I received. The 3rd time I went, they finally got my order correct. I ordered grilled, hot garlic wings again, and I received grilled, hot garlic wings! Yay me! They were also the high quality wings I've had in other locations. Other than the wings, the service and location are great. I'll just agree with others, that it can get loud inside. So, with that, I'm going to give this place 4 stars, with hopes that my first couple visits were a fluke. I look forward to having wings here again and I hope the quality is the same (fingers crossed).

I've been to this Gator's a couple of times when I was living in Baldwin Park. It was so easy and convenient being in the neighborhood. Each time that I went, we have gotten great service-especially at the bar. The bartenders are awesome and very personable. The food is decent- not complaints on that at all. Cheap beer, good service, yeah!

Love this location. It's become a regular spot for me on Sundays for a place to grab some beer and maybe a bite to eat after riding on the Cady Way Trail. They have a really great outdoor patio that also has seating at the bar if you want to be outside. Every time I have come here, the bartenders have been wonderful. Very attentive and we always get ice cold mugs for our pitcher of beer :). They have great specials on Bud Light if you like it. It's not my first choice, but you can't beat the $1.75 pints or I believe the $6 pitchers. Their wings here are really good. I had them grilled with traditional and teryaki mixed. Yum! Reminds me of a place in Ormond where I grew up that grills their wings and have always been my favorite kind. You get a nice char on the outside of them that adds awesome flavor. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for good drink specials, some bar food and great scenery on a nice day.

My friend and I stopped in for lunch on a weekday. They were slow and we were promptly seated. Our waitress came over and took our order without writing it down, which always makes me nervous. 2 people, so we got 1 appetizer, 2 meals, 2 drinks and a request for no tomatoes on the salad. Our waitress walked away to put our order in and within 30 seconds came back over and asked "do you guys want an appetizer?". Um yea, we politely reminded her we ordered an appetizer. Rather than admit she forgot, she immediately said (with snark) "oh I meant besides that one". Really? You meant to ask if a table of 2 wanted a second appetizer? I highly doubt it. The rest of our visit she chatted at the hostess stand in clear view of our table while busboys dropped our food. Never once checked to see if food was okay or if we needed refills. Literally took our order, let a busboy drop our food then showed up at the end with the check. Never checking if we needed anything (even dessert). Food was okay, service was pathetic.

Gators is a welcome addition to Baldwin Park. The prices are reasonable and the wings are fantastic. I prefer the grilled Gators Own Hot with a couple 4 Alarm Suicide to put me over the top. There are tons of Tv's so catching the game is never a problem. Beer prices are the lowest in Baldwin Park so it's a good place for those marathon game days.

Hands down the best wings in Florida. I've been coming to this place for years now, and I will not stop. Monday's all you came at for $11 is well worth it! I always order the grilled wings with Yucatan, Lemon Pepper, Hot Teriyaki, or Cajun Creole. The salads aren't bad and the burgers are good, but the wings are where it's at!

Came in here for lunch one day. This gators dockside is very clean to compare to other locations and much nicer. It has indoor and outdoor seating with a great view of Lake Baldwin. They are known for the wings, but I ended up getting the swiss and mushroom burger. It was cooked to my liking, very juicy and delicious! It did not disappoint. Definitely would come back again if I was in the area. Seems a great place for a night hangout or to watch any sports game.

I love the Baldwin Park area, and I was excited to finally stop in at Gator's Dockside. Stopped in for a dinner on a busy Friday night. We were told we had a slight wait, so we decided to take a seat at the bar and order a drink while waiting. Gator's has some great drink specials. Specials that go on all day everyday. I noticed they had Bacardi specials 2 for $5, and they also had many great shot specials for $3. I am not much of a liquor drinker, so I went with a craft beer. There is a decent selection of craft beer here. Make sure you look at both ends of the bar. I only looked at the taps that were directly in front of me, and it wasn't until later that I noticed several other beers way at the end. We only had to wait about ten minutes to be seated. The menu is pretty good. It was a standard menu burgers, appetizers, sandwiches, and some dinner entrees. I went with a fish taco wrap and my dinner companion had a cheeseburger and a bowl of chili. The fish in the wrap was dried out. The burger was your standard burger. Our server was very nice but also very busy. My dinner companion ordered another drink while eating, but he ended up finishing his entire meal without a drink. When the server came back to check on us we could tell she just forget to put it in. She tried blaming it on the bartender by commenting on why he never brought it over. This restaurant was packed and very very loud. It was so loud and I had to almost yell to be heard. It is a great space, but since the layout is so open, I think noise will always be an issue. Don't come here if you plan on having a conversation with your date. Overall, everything was just average. Nothing really stood out as being great. I would come back Gator's again. I think the drink specials alone might bring me back.

My girlfriend and I stopped in for an early dinner on a Monday evening. I had never been to this location but the outdoor area was pretty nice although we had to change tables twice due to wobbly tables. Our waitress was prompt but definitely not friendly. Beer came out in chilled glasses even though we both orered premium beer. I could see the chilled glasses for a bud light but not for what we ordered. The beer selection was actually better than i remembered for a gators. I had the all you can eat wings which were pretty good. All said and done, I'd probably visit again.

I'm glad Gator's Dockside is located in Baldwin Park. It's been needing some new restaurants to inject some business. The wings are great, the prices affordable, and a nice beer selection. This is run so much better than Paddy Murphy's who occupied the space before. There is a a great openness in this restaurant and if you sit outside, you have a great view of the lake. Pros: Staff is great, and knowledgeable about the menu. Pros: If you have any issue with your order, management is responsive. Pros: If you like wings, they are able to be served 3 ways, I love that! Pros: Great outside seating Cons: They need more parking or at least to-go parking. As a Baldwin park resident I'd like to get a to-go order. It's pretty impossible. I've had a wing craving but passed simply because I knew It would be super annoying to have to find a space. Cons: I mentioned the openness of the restaurant was great. It's also a con It's very very noisy. They need to add something to absorb the noise. I know it's a sports bar with monitors all over the place but geesh. You are better off sitting outside imo. Great place to watch a game with friends!

I'm a Baldwin Park resident and used to be a regular at Gators. My husband and I would come several times a month for a sandwich or some wings with some tasty drinks. The staff was always friendly before. We really enjoyed Gator's and it kind of pains me to write this review, however I am doing so in the hope that a manager will see it and step up his/her game. The past three times my husband and I have visited Gators this year, we walked out before being seated (the last time being this past weekend, we were hoping maybe just maybe things had gotten better!). All three times, the restaurant was not packed and there was plenty of seating. The hostesses/waitresses have made us feel like we are a burden by being impolite and uncouth to us as soon as we walk in. They don't smile at you when you come in, they don't greet you in a friendly way, and they will walk off to "look" for a table and never come back leaving another staff member to come over and do the same exact thing. It sets a very bad precedent when your customers feel offended just for coming in to dine at your establishment. Maybe we have just been unlucky, but please work on training your staff to treat your customers with a little more respect. We started to notice the service slipping mid-last year (it was much better before that, and Stirling was our favorite server!). That being said, every time I have eaten here before, I've enjoyed the food and if I ever had an issue it was promptly taken care of. This review is simply to inform that the customer service here leaves A LOT to be desired! I miss coming here!

As a local resident in Baldwin Park, Gator's is a regular favorite - OK food, good service (we sit at the bar when seats available) and close to home. There are often children near the bar playing on video games and they can become loud and unruly - noone seems to watch them, parents or restaurant staff...and we have seen potential situations where a child could be hurt. A polite words to the parents would be most appreciated - or move the video games away from the bar and adult patrons. Also - keep an eye on what is showing on the TV's - noone wants to eat while watching bloody boxing matches. There are always managers around, so please look up occasionally and keep your guests comfortable. Great bar staff - always welcoming and keeping an eye on an empty glass.

LOVE this place. Go-to sports bar for NFL ticket or any sports games. Delicious menu. I love the fried egg burger or the Mac and cheese burger. Their beer towers on game days are like $12-steal! Only downfall is how packed t gets but that's expected. If you're planning to go to the early games, get there at least by 12! Super friendly service. Nearby scenery is beautiful (of course, Baldwin Park!) Highly recommend!

I went to Gator's in Baldwin Park within the first week of its opening, and the service was shotty. We could tell the waiter was not extremely familiar with the layout, menu, etc. However, the wings are fantastic (as they are at every Gator's location we've ever been to). This location also has a much better selection of craft beer than the Winter Springs location we went to a few months ago. I had Bell's Two Hearted, and my husband had New Belgium Fat Tire. They also had Stone, Angry Orchard, and Sweetwater offerings. The best thing about this location (versus the previous restaurant) is its layout! The bar guests face the lake at Harbor Park, and the windows facing the lake are visible to almost every table. It's a gorgeous setting. They also revamped the outdoor seating to accommodate more of the sunset-viewers. Lastly, there are large TV's everywhere. You practically cannot miss a game if you go to Gator's! We'll definitely be back. This is by far the best hangout within Baldwin Park.

Not unlike the rest of the chain you'll find a spattering of good, comforty bar food here as well as lots of drink options. This newer location, right across the street from Lake Baldwin, has a great outdoor patio area that offers both dining and bar patrons the option to enjoy their food and or booze out in the sun.

A very comfortable environment with an excellent staff. I was so impressed with the staff I passed my impression on to Lindsey, the new manager. If you're at the bar, notice how active Austin is and how she makes a few seconds (and occasionally more) to make her customers feel welcome and important. To quote Arnold, "I'll be back!"

Love this place! Enough tv's to support your addiction outside of the home. The staff cracks jokes with us, and the gator tators are the tits! Enjoy

Stopped in tonight to meet a group of friends and see my friend run the new weekly trivia game. I had already eaten so I ordered a beer and played the game with my friends who had all ordered some sort of all-you-can eat boneless wing special. At some point a friend asked me to take a bite of her wing (is it a wing if it has no bones? it was basically a McNugget.) to taste the sauce when our server, "Josefina Stalin" swooped in and made sure we understood there was to be NO SHARING. NO SHARING EVER!!!!! YOU SHARE, YOU DIE. Gators is apparently super scared that they'll run out of weird boneless chicken nugget things soaked in ketchupy sweet chili sauce, I guess. "Josefina" was so dedicated to the No Sharing cause that she continued to creep by our table in three minute increments to silently COUNT THE WINGS LEFT ON OUR PLATES. I almost ate another one just so I could get kicked out and never have to come back. I'm glad I didn't though, as another one of my friends spent the next 30 minutes in the (filthy) bathroom forcibly ejecting them out of his system. They were so worried about losing money on the wings that they forgot to cook them completely, I guess. Rude AND deadly! FUN TIMES.

Id hate to give Gator's a 1 star, but they deserve it. If you look at my past reviews, I've only given 1's for 2 places. One place killed my dog, and the other cost me a vehicle. The inexperience in the service industry is blatantly obvious at Gators. It was a very nice Sunday, the weather was great. I told my wife, lets find a great place to eat outdoors. We decided on Gators. We have been to the previous establishment that was located there, which was OK. We were hoping with the new tenants, the experience would be better. Unfortunately the experience was worse. We were greeted by the hostess, and asked if we could sit outside. She stated there were no seats available outside. As she said that, I saw a waitress outside was cleaning off a table. I pointed that out and I said, "I see a table opened up, can we sit there?" She told us NO, because she had been instructed not to sit anyone else outside as they were busy. I said fine, we can sit inside. Not even 2 minutes after we sat, I saw another hostess sit 2 guys outside. Another couple came in right after and got sat outside. I had also noticed there was a bar outside with empty seats. By this time I was fairly frustrated and decided I was going to pay for my first beer and leave. As I drank my beer I saw a manager pass by. I waved my hand to flag him down, but I was ignored. I did eventually see the hostess that sat us down walk by and flagged her over. I asked her what was the criteria to sit outside because Ive seen several people get sat out there but we were told we couldn't. She stated she was following instructions to not sit anyone else outside therefore did not seat us outside. From my point of view, that was unacceptable and should be transparent to the customer. I would have been willing to wait but wasn't given an option to. She attempted to "right" the situation by saying in snarkey way, "DO YOU WANT ME TO SIT YOU OUTSIDE?" By that time I was done with her unwarranted attitude and told her I was done here. She stated abruptly "HAVE A NICE DAY" and walked away. My server by the way was nice and I did not screw her on tip. I only didnt order any food or any further beers as I refused to spend anymore money at that place due the horrible attitude of the hostess. I planned to have lunch but ended up deciding to find another place. As I cashed out, we got up and left. On out way out I got this extremely dirty look by the same hostess. I asked my wife if she saw that, and she confirmed. It was a very nasty look. That definitely confirmed I would never visit Gators again. Its amazing for an area such as Baldwin Park where there is very high turn over for restaurants closing that I would get that sort of treatment. You have to step it up and keep your customers Baldwin Park! This sort of attitude is not going to fly. I give Gators another 6 months before they end up closing like the previous owners. Maybe I will come back when the next restaurant opens up in that location.Otherwise that hostess needs to be let go. She doesn't need to be in the service industry.

Went back this week on a Tuesday. Wings and beer selection was great. Wait staff very quick. However, Tuesday is kids night. The place was full of families with kids, some of whom were running around screaming. If you like eating your food in an elementary school cafeteria, this is the place for you on Tuesdays. We'll be back on another night.

The sauces for the wings were watered down or just too light. We had to wait an hour to be seated, and then 35 mins to be served. The second and third rounds of wings took a long time as well. The waitress was not attentive at all, forgot an order, and she didn't exhibit any concern when we complained that some of the wings were kind of raw. Overall not a good experience. I would not return. I'm from NYC on vacation in Orlando and I thought I knew poor restaurant hospitality and quality; today is when I learned.

Without going into detail, the manager here went above and beyond to accomodate an obnoxious customer (me). In doing so he has earned a customer for life. This location has a wide open floor plan with outdoor seating overlooking a lake. The staff is usually on top of everything and the food comes out quick (even the AYCE wings). Beer is good, chicken wings are good, and the service is (typically) outstanding.

I downloaded Yelp and created an account just to let the world know how shitty these wings are. I'd rather buy them frozen and microwave them at home. Thank god they had Hopsecutioner beer which made my visit tolerable.

The "fanciest" location I've seen from Gator's but it fits in well for Baldwin Park. I'm a chicken wing fanatic and I haven't found any better than Gator's Dockside. Definitely order them grilled! I recommend the Scooter sauce(my favorite and most popular), Teriyaki, and Gator's own Hot (traditional buffalo wing sauce). On Monday nights from 6-10PM they have All you can eat Wings for 11.99... If you are like me and can eat 50-60 wings on a good night (your saving money even if you eat 20) then this is the jackpot! Also for desert, I recommend the "Chocolate Heaven" :)

This place has gone down hill. I enjoy the food but the service is getting worse and worse. We had no service for 20 mins. We had to ask server for help. After 20 more mins we again had no service. We talked to the manager and he explained why we didn't get service because we were to talk to the hostesses that did not exist. If the manager was well trained he would say "I am sorry! Let me get someone to help you! Thank you for you for coming here EVERY WEEK!"

This place just opened during the weekend of 10/18/2013, and it is awesome. Huge screen tvs all over the place, the bar is indoor outdoor with lake view. Great food, always a fun crowd, specially on football Sundays. Great wings, service top notch. I went three nights in a row during opening weekend because we just had a great experience. Totally different from Paddy Murphy's which is what this used to be and no one ever went in there.

This place is in a cool location, lots of seating, baked wings if you want them, great salads, cold beer, what else can you ask for. Servers are really friendly too. Will definitely be back.

If you have been to any of the Gator's Dockside at all, then you probably know what to expect. I will say that the new Gator's Dockside in Baldwin Park differs a bit due to a better craft beer selection. I am just saying "better" not "awesome". I did see Fat Tire and a Terrapin selection. But I chose the 1.75 Budweiser drafts. My wife and I went to watch the Michigan/Michigan State game. We had no idea Florida/Georgia was playing as well. It was packed!!! We still did find two seats at the bar. Game on! We were watching the entire game at the bar, until with 3:00 minutes left, a manager changed the channel to a new football game. WHAT! WHAT!. Never change the game until it is over. Yes, we could turn around and watch the game on another TV, but we had been sitting there all day. The bartendar basically shrugged his shoulders at us and ignored us. I know it was not his fault, but he needs to communicate with the manager for us. Will I go back? Probably not. If you are running a sports bar, and you change the channel before a game ends, you simply have no business running a sports bar. If you don't know that simple rule, you probably don't know many other rules of the business.

Honestly, I haven't been, now I never will. How dare you try to use personal political pandering by adding an ACA surcharge. Where is the surcharge for the tax welfare to corporations? how about that?

Decent food, great location, great for a social gathering or a relaxing night out. Parking may be a hassle. Definitely expect bar food. There is an all you can eat wing special but the server can be very stingy- they watch you like hawks and immediately will tell you NO SHARING even when I offered a friend a bite. Enough TVs for everyone, large space for seatings, beautiful Lake Baldwin in your view with outdoor seating.

Your Gators have more Gator on your menu! The Gator bits were good, wish they had a gator meal of some kind. The food is good as well as the service. They have a all you can eat night on wings. I think it was Wednesday night.

THE MOST horrible customer service EVER. I live in Baldwin Park and support this restaurant for no other reason other than the fact that this is the only sports bar in our community. The reputation for customer service is a joke- our neighbors and friends all say the exact same thing!! This community is built on business owners and hard working people who must provide and expect excellent customer service. This place and it's managers are a joke. They need to invest in proper training for their management and staff. There is no excuse for the customer service from this restaurant. It's just ridiculous- save your money and take it somewhere else where it's valued.

One star rating only because I was not able to do half star. Even though the wings are incredible unfortunately, service leaves a lot to be desired. Must do a better job of training hosts and wait staff.

I love the location by the lake. The inside outside bar is fun. Always a great place to go to watch a game. The wings are the best thing on the menu! Get the wings for sure. Enjoy the energy of everyone cheering for their favorite team. Fun place! Good service too.

Gators has a beautiful outdoor deck and an open patio that faces Lake Baldwin. It is primarily a sports bar but it also has food and welcomes families. A lot of people like the wings and I thought the wings were good with the scooter sauce. My server Megan was very nice and attentive. We were also visited at our table by the manager which was very nice. They have a new menu since last time I went and you can really tell the difference.

Love their food but the service today was horrible! Waited over 15 minutes and didn't even get asked what we wanted to drink. We ended up leaving. So sad because I was looking forward to trying the new location.

We live in Baldwin Park and this is my go to place to eat. Since I work from home it is great just to pick up and walk down for lunch and quiet work. During the work week if course. Kids night is wild.

Great neighborhood. This location is on the lake in Baldwin Park so it's a great spot to grab a relaxing lunch or grab a change of scenery for a beer at night. Went for lunch so it wasn't busy and the wait staff was very polite. Had the Italian flatbread sandwich and it was just as a imagined it... A pressed panini with pepperoni, ham, cheeses, and marina sauce. Beer selection is better than most sports bars if you are into craft beers. Support local brewery!
