Came here around 11:30am and had no problem finding a table. The service was quick and no lines at all. I ordered the little hamburger with everything on it and regular fries. Food came out hot and fast. The little hamburger was plenty. Don't let the name fool you. Fries are awesome here too!

Enjoy clogging your arteries with grease and fat, then Five Guys is the place for you! Unbuckle your belt and get out your health insurance card, cause after your heart attack from this fat-laden food you'll need it. A bit harsh - yes. True - you betcha. Sure, the burgers dripping with grease may tickle your taste-buds. And the hot, salty fries quench your hunger. I will admit, the food does tickle my taste-buds making them crave more. But there is just something wrong with being able to feel the fat you are packing on and seeing the grease you're about to ingest drip off your food. It just doesn't seem right. I'd rather eat food I'm not going to regret eating later. But if you're looking for a fattening, greasy, artery-clogging but yummy meal then check out Five Guys. Just be warned that you may regret it later.

Five Guys has won all sorts of awards for having the best burgers, so when they opened up we were pretty excited. When we arrived, the line was out the door and people were circling tables waiting for other people to leave. Surely, the hype must be true! Of course, I ordered a bacon cheese burger and some fries. My wife, being a pescatarian opted for the grilled cheese (no, she did not expect to have many options at a burger joint, and was fine with that). My wife is not a super strict pescatarian that refuses to eat anything cooked on the same griddle as meat, but I do know some pesca/vegetarians like that. If you have an issue with that, go ahead and just order fries. The grilled cheese is cooked on the same griddle and with the same spatulas as the burgers and hot dogs. Not an issue for us, but your mileage may vary. So, moment of truth. How's the burger? Honestly? I'm not sure. All I tasted was grease. A big pile of grease. I love big juicy burgers, but this wasn't one of those. The burger was fairly sized, but it was an unseasoned mess of greasy... what I assume was beef. The fries were also supposed to be epic. So, we were hoping for some salvation in those. Again, under-seasoned and bland. On the plus side.. they were cooked and less greasy, and there was plenty of ketchup to give them some sort of taste. Like most guys, I enjoy a big fat unhealthy meal once in a while, but this is beyond and have no desire to ever return here.

I'm not gonna lie. Despite all my efforts to slim down or get in shape I will always LOVE me some burgers. My quest to find the best restaurant in town for a juicy medium rare burger still remains. Five Guys came close but no crown. For those who are definitely on the look for a great tasting burger you have to try Five Guys! Quick, great service, dirty floors littered with peanut shells, and some of the best fries out of the fast food arena one stop at Five Guys and you'll be hook as many Central Floridan's have! Each burger comes with your choice of single or double patties, bacon and then unlimited array of toppings. Being constantly packed and always bustling why not try and take the chance experience what Five Guys has to offer! Fries are cooked fresh as well as the made to order burgers. This place will suite those who are looking for a great tasting quick bite.

This is a newer location for the Chain. I have dined at the Baldwin Park Location and loved IT! On our way to see the Movie Kick Ass, (YELP NEEDS A MOVIE REVIEW SECTION, hint, hint...) We decided to stop at the Waterford location since my Wife has never been to the any of the 5guys. She ordered a a simple Cheeseburger and a side of fries and I went with a bacon mushroom, onion, pepper, all condiment fully dripping wet offering of Artery clogging greatness that is AMBROSIA'esque(?)lol. We live, we EAT, we die. Why not die while chomping away at something that tastes so great you forget that you are in public whilst a disgusting red, yellow and white trail rolls down your chin. OK, I am a fan. BUT the fries, even though they are fresh (cut every day, I believe, from vine ripened potatoes.....ok, not funny) they are a tad tasteless for my taste(buds). You know, that's what was missing, a slightly chilled Hiene. Maybe next time. Total for the drinks and the food was close to $24.00. Cheeseburger and fries with a Ftn Drink and my Double bacon burger with all the toppings and sauces, with a water (I forgot to ask about a Hiene). OH! The following is for those who did a review prior to mine on this location: Hope you laugh, or not. I have the terrible habit of loving to eat. Without guilt or remorse about what it is that I am eating and who had to be killed to feed the fat American gut that I have. This being said, I have to make an attack on those people who would venture into an establishment, ANY ESTABLISHMENT, knowing what they serve and the way it is served and then complain about. Please, if any one can tell me where to find a delicious, non heart clogging, BEEFY grade A American BEEF patty that is being served with real, homegrown cheese, slathered in mayo and other various condiments, and not have it called a GREASY MESS, Please for the love of all that's is Beefy juicy goodness, TELL ME where to find it! Great burgers are GREASY, DRIPPING WET!!!!!!!!!! (Really, though, why go to BURGER joint for a dry burger?)

Five Guys = delicious, greasy goodness! I finally tried this place last night and let me tell you, it lives up to all the hype! The burgers are gloriously huge and juicy. Cooked to perfection and made with excellent beef. I'm not even a burger person (I've honestly eaten about 1 in the past year), and I have become a BELIEVER! Their regular burgers have two patties, so if you're just looking for a regular burger order one of the "little" burgers. The fries are awesome and try not to be disuaded by the fact that they are so greasy they will turn the paper bag they come in CLEAR. I guarantee you that they are totally worth the exhorbitant amount of calories that I'm sure they contain! The only downside (and reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is that they can get insanely busy. This caused them to mess up our order. They put the wrong toppings on my husband's burger and gave us regular fries instead of cajun. I suggest checking your order before you leave the counter to sit down.

Great place for a fast food quick burger! I will definitely eat here over any of the regular fast food joints around. Toppings are all free and are in bounty. The fries are awesome here. Taste like they are cooked in peanut oil but I can't be certain. Anyways, they are amazing. Get the Cajun fries for sure. One batch of fries is definitely good to share. Good for a quick bite...especially lunch time!

There was quite a bit of hype built up prior to my first visit to Five Guys. I was told by a couple of friends that their juicy burgers come with your choice of single or double beef patties, bacon and unlimited toppings. Another plus, is that the burgers are cooked fresh and made to order. I was also told that if I were to purchase an order of fries, it'd feed 2-3 people. Sounds great to me!! A couple of times I've driven by the joint, it 's been packed with people almost waiting outside the door! No exception when I arrived on the scene. Even though the line was long, I would say their efficiency of service was relatively good considering the crowds. The menu here is bona fide ALL AMERICAN BURGERS and HOT DOGS. So if you're looking for a more diverse burger joint menu, it won't happen here. I like to think of myself as being the discerning eater, so I tend to keep my red meat intake few and far between. Only beef burgers at Five Guys. I'm accustomed to having a Turkey Burger or Chicken Breast option so this was a bit of a let down. I still enjoy a red meat burger, but I like having other options as well. Now, I feel forced to eat only cow. You also won't find more unique toppings such as sprouts, fried egg or avocado. Another let down was that every burger has American cheese by default. Pepper Jack, Swiss, Provolone, Cheddar, etc. are no where to be found as an option. Which is a shame because the cheese can completely make or break a burger for me. I would've loved to see sweet potato fries as an option, but on the plus side, you have a choice of regular or cajun fries deep fried in their much marketed peanut oil. I was anticipating a sackfull of fries only to receive a paper cup full. I guess my friend went overboard when hyping up the amount of fries you receive. Despite a few disappointments, I ordered a double burger with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, mushrooms, A-1, and green peppers. I received my order in a greasy brown bag. Nice. As soon as I opened the bag, I knew I was about to suspend my healthy nature and receive a serious gut bomb. The burger was a tad bit smaller than I imagined, but good nonetheless. A greasy, hot, fresh, sloppy, no frills burger (The burger pictured for this location is not how it looks like at all). Like many previous reviews, I have to agree.. the grease overwhelms the flavor of the ingredients. I enjoyed the burger, but nothing WOW'd me about it. Because of it's limited menu and the fact the burger makes me feel like I need to shower after consuming, my visits will be very few. I certainly won't be going out of my way for a 5 Guys burger.

*Allergy alert!- They have self serve limitless shell on peanuts in the dining area* Love this place! A bit on the pricey side for burger and fries, but these are so fresh, so juicy, so tasty, so salty, so yummy... it's worth it! 2 little cheeseburgers, 2 fries: 1 regular & 1 Cajun, and 2 beverages = 2 very full people! To experience the ultimate experience in fast food burgers, go to Five Guys! Please note, that they only serve hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, fries, and a grilled cheese!

Even though i don't come to this location and normally go to the one in Altamonte springs , i absolutely love the burgers here they are the best in Orlando and are very juicy and tasty and there fries are great. The location in Altamonte is always crowded so be ready to wait for a while but it is worth it.

Five Guys is a guilty pleasure. The fat kid in me loves it - the sensible adult cries in horror! Make no mistake - going here is always a bad decision - you get way too much food (food which is loaded with grease in fat). That said, it's really good! So good that every so often I'm willing to ignore my sensible side and indulge. The burgers are good, but sloppy (contrast to Cheeburger Cheeburger, which does a good dry burger). The real star of the show though are the fries, cooked in peanut oil. If you're hungry this place won't leave you hanging.

Hands down the Best Burger chain in Orlando. They always over deliver on the fries and I leave fat and happy every time ;)

Addictive burgers and fries. Glad to see Five Guys down here in Florida. Most definitely not an everyday kind of place - or else you'll probably die of clogged arteries - but perfect for when you're craving a great burger and don't want to settle for the drive-thru garbage.

I am baffled by positive reviews of Five Guys. The burgers are greasy and tasteless. [Now I do enjoy your basic serving of grease-laden food with most meals and I personally have added grease to my own food pyramid.] But grease usually means flavor. Not here. Picture simmering a ground beef patty in boiling water until it turns brown, then layering it onto a bun. The buns are instantly soggy with grease and quickly fall apart. FG's are very generous with servings of fries, which are hot, soggy, and limp from, well, grease. if you have no choice but to eat there, add way too much salt and pepper. To top it off, the prices are high! And Backyard Burgers are SO good, with a freshly toasted bun, flavorful burger, and fresh lettuce and tomatoes. I much prefer Burger King to Five Guys. Or... Cheeburger Cheeburger, at least, has amazing onion rings to make up for the high prices and dry burgers. FLASH update: Hamburger Mary's downtown serves THE BEST hamburger!

What a let down. They advertise it like it's gonna be heaven in your mouth when it is sooo not!!! And it was expensive - 2 combo meals for over $20. Are you kidding me? The BEST Burger is Bud's Burger in the SF Bay Area or second to that is In-and-Out. Five Guys is just a bunch of propaganda. Seriously.

Bring a jacket, its always super cold! Its an OK burger joint. The burgers are a good size and always made well done (incase you like med rare burgers). Usually the little cheeseburger (1 patty) is perfect me for me. I like to add grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup, lettuce and Jalapenos in it. The bun is soft and its not suuuper greasy but ya know, its a burger - can't expect like you're eating a salad. The Cajun fries are really crunchy and I usually ask for extra cajun seasoning on it. If they aren't, they will be happy to make a new batch for you. There are open containers for peanuts in all locations so beware if you have a high allergic reaction to Peanuts. Nice people! Super quick as well - when the lines are longer...its a tad bit of a wait.

Best $5 burger a human can ingest. Much better than In N Out or any fast food burger

This was my first time at a 5 Guys. I had the email burger, which wasn't small at all. I added tomatoes, pickles and fried onions. The burger was great, as were the fries. I will definitely go back and highly recommend.

I've never been to northern Siberia in winter before, but I imagine it's probably a lot like the inside of this Five Guys. The burgers are fantastic so I've never let the risk of hypothermia steer me away, but I still have to wonder, is it really that hard to make it a little warmer? I've come after heavy rains, when the outdoor tables are completely soaked, and seen people who would rather go outside and attempt to dry them off with napkins than sit inside. I've learned to manage it, making sure to equip myself with an Alaskan Inuit parka, two sets of wool socks, and tundra grade thermal underwear before going there for lunch, but it pains me to see time and time again hungry customers, children, me, suffering due to the arctic climate of this establishment. Still, the burgers are incredible, the place is clean, and the staff are friendly.

I really enjoy Five Guys burgers, but there is something about this location that bugs me. Maybe it's the deafeningly loud music that is constantly playing. Or possibly it's that the employees typically make me want to inspect my food for something dropped in it. The location just lacks a certain professionalism, I suppose.

This Five guys makes an okay burger in my opinion. The biggest issue I have with their burgers is that they tend to be too greasy for my liking. It's greasier than your average burger which isn't something I tend to like. Their fries are great and always really yummy. I use malt vinegar on mine and even got my friends hooked on using it too. The burger itself is usually good minus the greasy burger patties. This five guys can get busy but I've never seen it packed. The employees usually work quickly and have your order out within a reasonable timeframe. The star of my meal was their salted caramel shake. I am a huge fan of caramel and love anything that is salted caramel. So I decided to steer away from my usual (cookies and cream) and order the salted caramel. It was delicious, it wasn't too sweet or salty. I would most definitely recommend this to anyone who likes caramel! Overall, this Five Guys is okay as far as the burgers go. It's not an amazing burger but it's not a terrible burger either. The employees here are usually very nice and the restaurant is kept clean.

I'm always sad when I eat here. I know so many people that love this place. I've tried their burgers multiple times in various locations but to no avail. The burgers are unappetizing and the fries are always greasy and limp.

I've been here twice and each time everything was great! I come here when I see movies and this is my place of choice. Love the burgers and abundant bag of fries! Always fresh, hot and well made. Love that you can make the burger up anyway you like with a list of ingredients at no extra charge. There is no Five Guys where I live. Just wish Hollywood made more good movies to give me a reason to drive to Waterford Lakes and get a great burger.

I love Five Guys. I really do. But unfortunately I can't return to this location since the past two times I've been there I found hair in my food. Be cautious and check twice before you take a bite of your burger or fries.

  • Stephen W.

My favorite place to get fries. Their Cajun style fries are so addicting. I have to get a large order every time and I advise you to do the same. No matter what, you WILL finish them. They are that good. Oh yeah, their burgers are pretty good, too. Hahah You can eat peanuts as you wait for your food to be cooked to order. Just remember: Large order of Cajun fries.

In the past I have been quite the fan of Five Guys which brought me to this location in Waterford. On my first visit there after I had sat down and received my order I noticed a long piece of hair in my burger before taking my first bite. I returned it to the counter and they re-made my order as well as giving me a gift card for $20. After about a month I decided to go back and give the location another try with the gift card. After I had ordered and received my food, everything seemed well as I enjoyed a delicious burger but as I was enjoying my fries.....what had I stumbled across? Another hair in my fries. Two visits in one month and hair in my items both times. Very aggravated I decided to not complain to management because clearly they don't know how to control this problem with their workers. I would not return to this location. Not to mention it's colder than an igloo in there.

I truly enjoy Five Guys, but this location continues to disappoint. When I choose to splurge for a 5 guys burger, it's because I'm craving a greasy piece of heaven. This location serves dry, over-cooked burgers on cold buns, with soggy tasteless "Cajun" fries. I'll stick to the Baldwin Park location from now on.

    (2)
  • Tony B.

Five guys is never a disappointment. This one is a little smaller inside than others I have been to, but it does have a patio to dine on. Not bad on cooler days. It can be loud inside, as other reviewers have stated, but in my experience it has more to do with crowd noise than the music. I will say that the fries were a little over-done this trip, but that's not a deal breaker.

I love the self serve peanuts while I'm waiting for my burger. Burger is comparable to a McDonald's burger but pricier.

  • Stephen L.

Pretty much ok diner style burger. We love to eat here while walking around Waterford ... a couple burgers, a hotdog, some fries. We are good to go! Fresh Meat, Fresh potatoes. All the toppings your heart can desire and of course, they have a grilled Hotdog! Good Times!

    (3)
  • Frank L.

How could you not love a fried double patty with cheese and all the toppings you want....you can't, unless you are a vegetarian of course. I really enjoy five guys bacon cheese burger with jalapenos and grilled onions. I try to only get the double burger on days that I will not eat anything else. That and the spicy Cajun fries completes me. I think Jerry McGuire would agree.

The first time I heard about Five Guys was from my best friend's boyfriend. At the time, they had just started sprouting up around Florida and he used to be obsessed with finding one for us to stop at so he could get a burger (ok, let's be honest a FEW burgers) there. Being someone who doesn't usually eat a ton of red meat, I was unsure about this greasy, fast-food-esque place called Five Guys. Essentially, I put off going to Five Guys for a while until finally my boyfriend talked me into it. And when I had my first bite of that Five Guys cheeseburger-y goodness, I suddenly understood what all of the hype was about. Yes, at the end of the day Five Guys really just sells greasy burgers and grimy fries doused in peanut oil. BUT, at the end of the day they are so delicious and addictive that no matter what your mind is telling you (ex: what the hell are you eating? this is obviously bad for you!) you will continue to eat there regardless. This is the first Orlando location I went to, as I used to live right next door in Waterford Lakes. It is where I discovered the cheesburger-y goodness. The location itself in the plaza is pretty good, right across from the Regal theater on the corner of a building (so it is a large Five Guys with plenty of tables both inside and outside). Would definitely make a good prequel to getting some cupcakes around the corner at Sweet. :-D

I haven't been to five guys in awhile. Basically I eat too many fries when I go and feel kind of sick later. I have to say it's my own fault. I had a little burger with bacon and was delicious. I will have to put them back into the rotation again, and just stop pigging out on peanuts and fries as much! It it really tough to do that when you are there. Not sure what they use to season their burgers but it is good.

  • Debbie P.

The food is good for greasy hamburger and fries but this place is FILTHY every time we come here. We opt to eat outside and hope for the best. Plus it is always freezing inside. Last resort today because it's friday night and all the good places are really busy.

    (2)
  • Simon L.

Good burger, but nothing special. You can get better at a steakhouse for the same price. But is better than a drive through. I'd recommend it.

  • Pedro L.

I always joke around when I come in and count how many guys are in the restaurant and if it's less or more than 5 guys, I ask if I'm in the right place. Corny? Yes but this is how comfortable I feel there. The food is Awesome as always and it's the ONLY cheeseburger I totally enjoy. Krystal come in second and Smashburger doesn't even come close to 5 guys. The service is great and the restaurant is clean including the bathroom. It's the only food I didn't eliminate from my Doctors diet recommendation. Got to stop typing, my order is ready.

    (5)
  • Melissa P.

If I'm ever in the mood for burgers this is where I go. They're decently priced and make the burgers while you wait. If I could change one thing it would be that they'd refer to the customers by name and not number because lack the ability to associate myself with a number. I enjoy the outdoor seating on a nice day. The indoor seating is very clean as well. For those of you bringing vegan friends (because I'm sure vegans wouldn't be reading a review about a burger place) the fries are vegan friendly!

  • Michelle C.

As far as quick burgers go compared to wendys, burger king, mcdonalds and all those quicky food places... five guys is amazing! So delicious and the fries are just as wonderful! You go in hungry and come out stuffed and satisfied!! Yumm!

  • Joe F.

I've been to three of them. I am so glad one opened on Alafaya so I don't have to go to Altamonte or Sand Lake anymore. The burgers are very good and the fries are always hot and they always give you a lot of extra fries, so many that sometimes they are hard to finish.
