Firstwatch is the best place to have a healthy breakfast. Many locations in Florida ALL are consistently good. Good for biz travelers or families. Great staff everywhere. Great place ....a lot of variety.

My favorite new brunch spot. My boyfriend and I went this morning to try the new location out and were extremely please with everything about the place. I had the "Chickichanga," which was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend tried the "Crepeggs" which was also delicious. The benefit of the majority of their selection of food is that most of it is on the healthier side. Oh, and their orange juice was freshly squeezed. Hallelujah! Overall pleased with the service, the food, and the ambience! We will definitely back. especially before going shopping at Fresh Market.

This is their newest location in Orlando. I was in the mood for Chocolate Chip Pancakes and knew they had them. Since I knew this new location had just opened, I thought we would try it out. When we arrived, we noticed outdoor seating to the right of the main entrance. This and the Aloma location are the only ones I've noticed outdoor seating at. Aloma's is along the parking lot. This one has it nestled between it and another building, and the parking lot and Virginia, but closer to the parking lot. A man in plain street clothes greeted us at the door, and asked us for our invitation. We didn't realize this was opening day and it was by invite only. He let us come in anyway and introduced himself and asked our names. I felt like I was being welcomed into someone's home. He also told us the meal was free, since it was opening day and the workers were in training. We sat down right away behind the cashier. The place has a backward L shape, with the kitchen and bathrooms filling in the gap. They had large replicas of their menus on their windows. I ordered the Tri-Fecta, with the Chocolate Chip Pancake I was craving, scrambled eggs and a turkey patty. The pancake is supposed to be multigrain, but I felt it wasn't. I'll have to compare it with another flavor when I order another one again one day. I could be confusing it with The Briar Patch's Fiber pancakes. I don't remember the turkey patty available in the past, just the turkey sausage. It was much larger than I expected. The taste was ok, and what you expect from turkey. I also ordered my usual small freshly squeezed OJ and a cup of coffee (ok, but somewhat on the watery side). Since the server was in training, someone was there overlooking and giving him tips. It was all done professionally and the trainee was very good at his job, asking us the correct questions and being upbeat and friendly. As we ate, other employees stopped by asking how we were. Overall, this was a nice free treat for a Sunday morning! First Watch did an excellent job making us feel welcomed at their new location. I look forward to coming here again.

This is the new location at Mills near The Fresh Market. My wife and I stopped by for a weekday brunch and while the temperatures were still cooler we chose to sit outside. I like the umbrellas, as the sun can still be tough to deal with even when the temps are cooler. We were seated quickly and put in the drink order while we scanned the menu. Hmmm, I wanted just about everything on the menu and so did my wife. There were some delicious sounding specials as well, but I went with a chicken and egg enchilada. The waitress said it was her favorite, so that made me happy. My wife got an egg dish, but I can't quite remember which one. She did say her coffee tasted a bit off (why, oh why don't any breakfast places in Orlando serve outstanding coffee?!!) . The food was good, not something that blew my mind, but it hit the spot and that was fine by me. I'd go here again to try some of the other dishes that caught my eye. I shall probably return.

This is my second review for another first watch. Thought I'd give it another shot. Again I did not enjoy my food. The eggs were very eggy tasting, not fresh. The pancakes were gritty. Just wasn't a pleasant experience food wise.

The food was very fresh and delicious the service was excellent. I do have a comment however. I ordered the eggs benedict BLT. It came on a very small plate. It also came on one large piece of very thick bread. When I attempted to cut it up, because you have to cut it up to eat eggs benedict, it just fell all over the plate and fell off of the plate. It was a beautiful presentation but impractical to eat. It ended up all over the place.

I've been going to first watch cafes for a while now and have usually gone to the location next to UCF. I just moved to the mills area and was excited that there was one close by. However, this is our third attempt at this location and overall the experience has been subpar at first but the recent visit was inexcusable. The server really did the bare minimum with serving us, and this is from someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for years. But even that could have gone unnoticed if the food was up to standards. The meal was an absolute joke and with all the menu item changes it seems like the food overall has gone downhill. The dish I ordered was not what it was advertised to be and the entire experience was just not worth the wait for the table. If you're a breakfast and brunch place then you definitely need to be able to make a decent breakfast meal, which evidently they cannot. If you're looking for a good breakfast place around town do yourself a favor and try se7en bites down the road and definitely avoid another mediocre dining experience here at all costs.

What a complete turnaround of service on our most recent experience. Like night and day. My husband and I decided to come back even after our disappointing visit. I will chalk up our last experience to an off day because this visit is what we are used to and expect. Carly was pretty amazing-- friendly and sincere and never overbearing. She was also quick to take my order since I was on a time crunch. Food came out super quick and was delicious as always. I had the cranberry nut oatmeal and also decided on the Belgian waffle which comes with an amaaaazing mixed berry compote! I highly recommend! I'm glad we didn't give up on this location as it's a fairly convenient location in between work and home. Hope we continue to receive this kind of service on our future visits whether it be early morning or early afternoon!

If you're looking for a great place for breakfast, then First Watch is a great choice. Here's why: I always order the Trifecta. It comes with two eggs, your choice of Pancake or Belgian waffle, and choice of bacon, Turkey sausage, or link sausage. I get the eggs white with cheddar on top, waffle, and the plentiful sausage. I add an extra sausage with a side of their thick sliced bacon. 4 slices. Egg whites are fluffy, tasty, and don't taste bland which is a feat for this type of food. Well done. Good sized portion too. The Belgian waffle has a great hint of vanilla with a sprinkling of powdered sugar. Just enough sugar to flavor and not overwhelm. Their syrup complements it well. Waffle is just crispy enough to hold up under lots of syrup and not get soggy or hold extreme crunchy. Excellent. The sausage has a great mild seasoning and is plump. Not dry but juicy. Thus is one of the main reasons I choose First Watch. The thick bacon has the right balance of meat and fat. I'm from Texas and the combination make it top rated. Coffee is a good balance between light and dark roasted. Plentiful International Delight brand creamer is provided on the table with choices of flavors. Nice touch. The service is friendly and attentive and knows the menu and options well. Any requests were handed quickly for me. Final Note: great menu selection.. Food cooked as I requested, great waffle experience, and coffee opens and closes the meal perfectly. Great service. Will be back

One of First Watch's newer locations located at the booming Mills 50 District. This is one of my favorite locations due to the bounty of natural light and friendly wait staff. Enjoy the variety that is First Watch's menu. In the mood for waffles? Trifecta. Looking for more healthy options? You are covered too. Often trade out the sides for broccoli. Their portions are often on the lighter side in contrast to their direct competition, which can be a nice contrast for a lighter meal. Their service is attentive from the moment you sit. However, once the food arrives, the check is close to follow. I would not mind this if it meant the service continued. Just hate being mid meal with an empty glass and forced to flag down a random server. Having frequented this location since it opened, it is great to see their wait staff turnover is relatively low. Seeing the same faces at a local brunch spot is refreshing. Bottomline, recommend this location for a casual brunch and will certainly be returning.

Very busy brunch joint in Mills Park! Bustling, colorful, brightly lit and family friendly with no diner/greasy-spoon grittiness, it's a great safe choice for breakfast/brunch. The menu covers all the expected omelet and pancake bases plus some healthy offerings (like egg white omelet, granolas and fruits) and some seasonal specials. I had coffee and one of the seasonal dishes - avocado, egg, bacon and cheese on brioche. Good portion of avocado and everything was fresh.

My husband and I love this place! Filling and healthy, we have had everything the soups, salads and breakfast. The fact that they put that awesome hot sauce on the the table... The only criticism I have is that the manger cashed out an employee holding up the line making it 15 minutes! Had a nice time before that.

  • Kimberly B.

Good variety on this menu. Lots of fun things to try so it was hard to choose. I can't wait to go back and try more. Staff is very welcoming and help with any questions we had on the menu. Went there with my mom. She loved it.

  • Brittany C.

I'm not usually one for chain restaurants or brunches that don't include bloody marys but this place is bomb! Lots of healthy choices and ways to customize your sides. I recommend the Trifecta for breakfast or the Beefeater sandwich for lunch. Next time I want to try the power bowls with quinoa or the fruit crepes. Spot on place. There was a wait here on Sunday but that's basically unavoidable so no complaints about that. Friendly service and food in a reasonable amount of time.

This is our go-to brunch place. It's generally quick (although we do occasionally experience long waits for food although rare) and there are great healthy and non-healthy choices. When we do healthy, we split a Healthy Turkey (egg white omelet stuffed with smoked turkey, caramelized onions, tomatoes, spinach, and feta) subbing the side of sliced tomatoes for fruit and a Tri-Athlete (egg white omelet with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, and green chilies topped with salsa). The Power Wrap is kinda bland but the Fruit Crepes are amazing and I've recreated these at home. For non-healthy, I order the Turkey Chive Crepegg which isn't on the menu any longer but is eggs cooked thin like a crepe and stuffed with smoked turkey, onions, spinach, and topped with hollandaise and chives. The fact that they continue to make this for me makes me happy and is part of why we come back. The BF orders the Chickichanga which he loves (and I'm not sure what's in it except chorizo lol). Today he got the Parma Hash and loved it. So anyway there's nothing wrong with this place and the prices are good. You can be healthy and food usually comes out quick. I've had better brunches at more expensive places but it's still good enough for us!

went here for lunch today and was appalled to see how they seat their customers. in the back corner of the room, they sat me and my Asian buddies in the farthest table from the front. As we ate, they sat an African American couple next to us, then an Indian lady, then a couple more minorities with us in the back. As we made our way to the front to pay, we saw nothing but white faces in the front and main section of the restaurant. I've experienced a lot segregation before, but this was the finest job in a long time. on a lighter note, their roast beef sandwich was decent.

  • Amanda H.

It was ok except for the instant diarrhea. Typical breakfast foods except for the lack of biscuits and gravy (let's be real if you're in the south you have to have it on the menu). The staff was really sweet though.

I'm a sucker for first watch. It's one of my all time favorite breakfast spots. This location is no different. Great service, perfect food. I like that there is an outdoor area where you can eat with you dog. The wifi is also VERY fast!

  • José C.

This place was kinda of a knock off version of IHOP. It seemed to be on the healthier side though. The server disappears after they bring out your food and only returns to bring the bill. I had some chicken tacos that were pretty good I couldn't complain. I'm not sure if there's anything else to say about this place other than I felt rushed and that they didn't seem to care for customer service. I don't think I would recommend this place nor would I return.

This is a new location and built fresh and new in Mills Park. Now, disclaimer, I am not much of a breakfast person so maybe I am not the expert when reviewing spots dedicated to this meal. But, if I had to hit up a breakfast spot, this is a very good one. Their way of life here is - everything is made to order, and freshness is never compromised. We don't use heat lamps or deep fryers -- we use only the finest ingredients possible for the freshest taste around. - Super respectable! I checked out this location for a morning meeting on a weekday so we were immediately sat and our service was lovely. My dining partner had some strict dietary needs and they happily did abide. Much appreciated. I went with the Fresh Fruit Crepes - Two thin, sweet crepes wrapped around fresh fruit, topped with low-fat organic strawberry yogurt and powdered cinnamon sugar. Served with a fresh baked muffin of the day and a side of our house made granola. They were HUGE! Chock full of fresh fruit yet so light. It was a nice balance. I thought the muffin was somewhat overkill and I didn't even touch it. I should have asked to not even have that if I knew how large the crepes were. I threw the granola on top of the crepes, very good! Now, like I said, not a huge breakfast fan so everything was good but nothing blew me away. Also, we didn't have to fight the weekend crowds that a lot of people are mentioning either. Overall, we had great service though and I always appreciate that!

I came back because I was offered complimentary breakfast for two (which was only $20), and I had the via vente omelette (sp) and my boyfriend had the turkey club. I'm not exactly sure if those are the correct names, but the food was delicious. I really enjoyed it this time around. Unfortunately the service was trash. My water wasn't refilled, we weren't checked on, and instead of serving me my orange juice during my meal like I requested, they gave me both my beverages at once. They even said "I probably won't have time to come around again so here you go." Umm, okay. I'm not a tight ass... I swear! I just hate bad service

Absolutely one of my favorite breakfast places. Their pancakes are huge (and so many varieties!), their waffles are light an airy and their eggs are delicious. If you want something light - they have options (turkey sausage, egg whites, quinoa, wheat pancakes, etc). If you want something indulgent (chocolate pancakes) they have that, too. I wish their coffee was a bit better, but I don't come here for coffee - I come here for pancakes. Their service is generally fast and friendly. A great location with lots of space for large parties and plenty of parking. It's right off the dinky line bike trail and then have LOTS of bike parking. Eat here often.

Customer service is good and so is the food. I recommend the trifecta Breakfast. A clean decor with comfortable seating. Parking is a breeze. There is never a long wait for a seat and the breakfast comes quickly after ordering. Tip your waiters nicely!

I drove by first watch and found this week was their grand opening. So I Came in after 1pm for breakfast. It was decently packed but not wait time. Got sat down right away. I Ordered the parm hash w avocado and light on the cheese. Got some good coffee. Food: 4/5 The parsm hash with avocado and poached eggs was pretty good. However, They served me a pretty burned toast and I was surprised the pass allowed it through. Everything was cooked very well. I do wish the portion was a bit bigger for $9 dish. The pot of coffee was very fresh and not watered down. Atmosphere: 5/5 Pretty big atmosphere and very modern. They have a giant board with their specials and drawings. Service: 4/5 She was very quick and polite. I received my food within 6 minutes of ordering.

Love this place! I tried it in Fairfax, VA and in Orlando, FL and it was consistent in staff friendliness & service and the food is delicious!

  • Carla L.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I always order the same thing, the Market Hash which is delicious. I do love the flavors of the cheese in the hash with some eggs on top. Now the thing is that my daughter doesn't eat much so she orders one pancake and a side of fruit. Here is where I am not all that happy. For ONE pancake and a side of fruit, we pay over $8. No juice, just water. I just find some of the items kind of pricey. The coffee is also $2.50, and I don't drink more than 3/4 of a cup so for me the add ons are just not worth coming back.

Normally such a huge fan of First Watch and their giant pancakes, but I found a piece of plastic in my food! Gross! Looked like a piece from a mix bag or something. The manager was more than willing to remove item from my ticket and bring a new pancake, but nothing more.

I came to Florida to visit a friend and she took me to First Watch for breakfast, and it was pretty good! I shared a stack of pancakes with my friend, and it was delicious. The service was pretty quick and good. If I lived here regularly, I could see myself coming here often for breakfast.

There's a ton of good Asian food in this area. But when you're in the mood for healthy American fare, check this place out! Just don't try coming here for dinner, check the hours!

There's nothing better than getting out of church on a sunday and feel hungry for some good ol home made breakfast or brunch. This is the place to visit! Their pancakes are amazing as well as their delicious omelets everything is organic fresh and yummy. The place get's packed so plan accordingly you will experience some wait time.

Five star breakfast, great way to start the day. Swishroom omelet with greens, quinoa power bowl with basted eggs and an avocado substitute, and the works. All fan-fucking-tastic! The coffee is delicious, the service prompt and friendly. We love you Ashley, mills 50!

Like many of their other locations you may should be prepared to wait, especially if there are a number of people in your party. I managed to get in with little wait with my daughter. They offer a nice selection of items for breakfast and lunch. The food tastes fresh and is nicely prepared. I got the kids pancake for my daughter and it was enormous. I may opt for that the next time and I should be fine. The service was good even though they were very busy and the food did not take long before it came out. I went with the Bacado Omelet and it was light and fluffy covered in sour cream and salsa. Overall, good food and the price is ok. It is best to plan around your trip or expect to wait some during the peak hours.

  • Trung N.

Good chain to to grab some breakfast/brunch. It does get busy so there may be a wait. The food comes out pretty fast and the service is great. I had the parm hash and enjoyed it. I felt like I was eating pizza with potatoes for some reason...in a good way. I also had some coffee which was pretty standard for a breakfast place. I have to say that they are pretty consistent with their food and this location does not fail.

    (3)
  • Michael B.

Really excellent service for our table of 9. Our server was all over it for the whole visit. The food here is very good. Always fresh and the bacado omelet is my favorite. My kids all liked their pancakes too. Very clean place with friendly staff and great food!

First Watch is one of those places where I think it is pretty hard to be disappointed and yet they'll probably never really blow you away, either. It's a middle of the road sort of restaurant, where you'd feel comfortable taking a few guests and you know they'll get good food and good service and you will have a perfectly decent dining experience. I don't know that this would ever be first on my list of places to go, but if everyone is sort of undecided and you say "Hey, how about First Watch", usually you can get everyone to agree to it. I feel like their menu is a notch or two above average - familiar enough so that you're not intimidated, but with a few twists so that you are not bored. Omelets and crepes and pancakes and waffles and eggs - reasonably standard fair, yet as you can tell from their menu I think they make a point to keep it fresh and interesting. We visited this new location on Virginia and Mills around 9:30 on a Saturday morning. There's a nice parking lot in the back, so if you are a nervous driver like me, it's good that you don't have to worry about parking on the street. There was no wait at all and we were seated right away. Our waitress was quite nice and very attentive, always keeping our waters and our coffees full. Our party ordered a Key West Crepe, and an Acapulco Express Omelet ("Are you sure you want that? asked my friend's husband. "It sounds a lot like 'Montezuma's Revenge' ". It must be reported that later I did not experience any such issues.) I believe on the menu it noted that the omelets and crepes come with dressed greens or breakfast potatoes, but we were not given any sort of verbal option by the waitress and everything came with potatoes. Maybe you have to ask, I am not certain. Food was served hot and fresh in a reasonable amount of time and everything was perfectly acceptable. I can't really speak to the cost of the meal as my dining companion grabbed the check and I never got to see it. I imagine it was probably somewhere between Perkin's and KeKe's prices, but for god's sake, if you have the option, go to First Watch instead of KeKe's. All said, it was a nice meal. No complaints, but nothing that you'll find yourself drooling over later, though. Comfortable, consistent, convenient.

I have eaten here at least a half dozen times including breakfast and lunch and have yet to be disappointed. The food quality is good and consistent. Staff is always friendly, and service is prompt. The healthy menu items are imaginative and quite good. Watch out for the calorie totals, though. I had the Power Wrap today which added up to 410 calories, but there are options in the same section up to at least 700 calories...a lot for a "healthy" item no matter the contents. Finally, I feel that FirstWatch should get extra kudos for having the nutrition information so easily accessed and nicely presented on the website. It would be even nicer if the info were available in the restaurant itself and were also applied to specials on the chalkboard, but that is quibbling.

  • Dan S.

We were hungry, so we got a taste of a few things: blueberry pancakes, the Bacado omelette, Killer Cajun omelette, and a new Spring arrival, the AB&J waffle--which was more than delicious (pictured). Lack of other photos means that we chowed down as the food hit the table. There is definitely something here for everybody. I would say IHOP has some competition with those blueberry pancakes, but good luck trying to top that waffle. See for yourself!

I am furious at the treatment I just received at this location. The food has been awesome up to this point and it is located right around the corner from my office. But today I was seated outside and 15 mins later hadn't even received a glass of water, let alone a waiter/waitress take my order. Obviously I was completely forgotten about. When I complained to the manager he offer me something small for my troubles as I now didn't have the time to eat. Really? I'm really disappointed!!! You might want to have a better idea of who you seat and where. Several people saw me seated outside and not one person checked to see if I had been taken care off. Don't think I will be coming back...unless I have all day to wait.

This is a "new build" First Watch on the corner of a Mills Ave and Virginia Drive. It's in the new shopping center with The Fresh Market. This location is clean, bright and well set up. I've only been for lunch, but I'm sure it can get very busy for breakfast. Trying to be healthy, I had the Quinua Chicken. It was delicious and I'd have it again. They serve breakfast all day (the are closed for dinner), so if you're in the mood for breakfast, it's a great place to go. You won't find the cheap specials like at Denny's, IHOP, etc - but you get what you pay for. You get a higher quality experience. It's worth paying a little more.

I dunno. ..today I ordered the eggs benedict with ham only because that's how I like my eggs benedict. Traditional. I was really disappointed because there was way too much ham, and although the eggs were perfectly poached, the hollandaise was broken and had an unappetizing color to it. The eggs and hollandaise were completely overshadowed by the taste of ham because there was just a retarded amount of ham there. And sorry but I really can't forgive a shitty hollandaise sauce. The fruit was good and the potatoes were okay... my boyfriend enjoyed his omelet but I mean whatever. Eggs benedict is my fucking favorite and I was really sad about this one. It was just a sad sad eggs benedict. I also thought this place was overpriced. Maybe I thought that because my meal sucked... but I paid $20 for an omelet and pathetic eggs benedict. Honestly I could live without ever going here again... This place is like. ..whatever.

I make better at home. Not a fan. Pricey and not worth getting out of my pajamas for. Very average.

This place is an absolute must for breakfast. Built their business on serving healthy breakfasts that actually taste great. Their lunches are great too. They get it here, service, food, just awesome. Try the Pesto Quinoa, out of this world, and again healthy.

I was really excited to try this place since I had heard so many great things about it.... unfortunately my first visit was not that great. The atmosphere and service was fantastic however I could've gotten a better meal at the gas station up the road. I had a breakfast buritto of sorts smothered in a weird powered chese flavored sauce. My boyfriend had an omlet and said that his food was "just ok" but having eaten at another location was not on par. I'm sure that if had I said something to our server I could have gotten something else but I did not have time for that and I was hungry. Since this place has a great reputation I will probably give it another go before I make my final decision about this restaurant.

First time to this First Watch. Clean space. Service was good. I tried the traditional eggs Benedict. Ok so it wasn't traditional eggs Benedict. Someone tell them there isn't tomato on a traditional eggs Benedict. Overall disappointing and the hollandaise bland. I'll try something else next time!

I'm still wondering why they opened this new location in my neighborhood. Food is so average and there is absolutely no atmosphere. There is simply no reason to return.

  • Krystal M.

This is the second time we have come during the week since they opened. When we walked I the door at 7:30 am no one greeted us and then we were we went and sat down. It then took over 5 minutes to be waited on. The food is always good and consistent however I feel that they do not properly staff and during the week when people are on there way to drop kids at school and off to work thy should stay clear of this restaurant! We walked in the doors 25 minutes ago and we are still sitting without food! I personally think there are much better diner options in the area that understand how to properly staff and understand the time restrains on individuals and are locally owned and not a part of a big chain. This will be the last time we come here:(

    (2)
  • Yun D.

Food was great. Service was in point, our server greeted is in a timely manner, gave us some suggestions and offered us something other than water to drink. I love the atmosphere every time I go. The one and only thing I could complain about is never having enough hazelnut creamers.. Other than that I loved it!!!!!!

  • Sue S.

This is the 1st time I went to this new location and the 3rd time I've been to a First Watch. I think their service is good and the food is good as well. I like the healthy options as well as the traditional favorites. I had the blueberry pancake with added pecans and turkey sausages. The sausages were cold but when I told the server she offered new sausages but I didn't want to wait. She refunded me the sausages. My only suggestion is they offer the maple syrup for free and not charge. Cracker Barrell has spoiled me. And they should NOT call the pancake syrup (corn syrup) maple syrup. It's misleading.

Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious fresh food. A delightful change from all the chain restaurants. Worth a stop. In and outdoor seating.
