Firehouse Subs is another Florida born chain which serves delicious steamed subs. Their claim to fame is that they were founded by firemen and they offer an amazing selection of hot sauces with your subs. Their sub menu is extensive and I have more than a couple of favorites on the menu. Everything is made to order and it takes a little longer to get food here compared to a Subways or Quiznos, but its well worth the wait.

Firehouse Subs is a chain restaurant serving submarine sandwiches. In Orlando, one can find several other sandwich chains serving subs. But for me, Firehouse makes a great sub. Earlier today, I stopped in this location for lunch and had the New York Steamer. It is a hot sub with corned beef, pastrami, and provolone cheese. With chips and a drink, my order came up to $10.85. On my last visit here, I had their Hook-n-Ladder, which consists of turkey breast, ham, and Montery cheese. And it was delicious as well. Both subs were loaded with a good amount of meat, and brought out to you hot. Firehouse subs has a selection of hot sauces to choose from if you want to add a bit more "fire" to your sandwich. Although I do not add hot sauces to my sandwich, be careful if you try the Dave's Insanity hot sauce. This Firehouse Subs shop also has a Coca-Cola Freestyle fountain dispenser. It features over 20 Coca-Cola products that can be mixed with several different flavored syrups, such as cherry, vanilla, and other flavors. There is a wait if you order you sub hot, but you are getting a sandwich freshly made. And it is hot and delicious. There are other sub shops in the area. But I know if I go back to this Firehouse Subs, I will get a good sandwich.

It's been awhile since I've had Firehouse's meatball sub, which used to be phenomenal, but whatever I ordered yesterday was pretty gross. I'm not sure how, but the whole thing just tasted fake. I guess they changed their menu, which is fine, but I'm just not sure how you mess up a meatball sub. It's a pretty simple meal. Back to Publix I go for subs.

Good subs. A bit pricey for what you get, but it is what it is. I guess if you think it's too much, you don't have to go there. :-) My only suggestion would be -- make the process for efficient because there are plenty of workers, but it takes a long time to ORDER. And, I think they should play Pandora or Spotify -- they were playing the radio and there was like 8 minutes of commercials. Radio stinks!!! Old fashioned!!! :-)

i've never really been a huge fan of Firehouse. But since it was my birthday and they offered me a free sub i gave them another try. Had the Italian sub. It actually was pretty decent. Had a lot of meat and melted cheese on a whole wheat roll. It was a little greasy but in all had a good flavor. Wed night is kids night and the kids eat for $1. My daughter is picky but she enjoyed her sub so i'd probably take her up there again. Love it when the kids eat cheap!

Ive tried the meatball sub and the chili. They are known for their chili. If I was to go back -- I will go for the chili and crackers.

Love the engineer sub. Turkey, provelone, mushrooms, man is it good. I know this is a chain but they do make some good sandwiches.
