For my purposes, this restaurant gets a solid 5 stars. I go there several times a week for take-out, which they put on a scale and sell you by the weight. I work at a flea market, which is not the best place to get quality food. I go in on Thursdays with my tupperware and can get 2 full days worth of food for under 7 bucks. It's not fancy, but the food is fresh, great quality, and nukes well if you're getting it for later like I do. The selection of food is excellent and authentic. I grew up here eating at my Puerto Rican neighbors' houses, and I know a thing or two about how it's supposed to taste. I find this place to be a terrific value and the staff is very friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for great food at an excellent price.

Yes. $5.99 buffet or Puerto Rican food?! I just about cried. FYI, eat your fruits and veggies befiorehand-- you won't find em here (excwept the platanos, of course).

This place maybe good at day time because I went at 8 and beside the employee was really hooked up to the phone probably on Facebook he didn't said hi or nothing we wonder around the buffet to see what they have and the meat was dry it looks old. Bad men because the reference brought me here but the gas wasn't worth it. No coming back

Some of the best Puerto Rican food I ever had in my life. I ate the best pernil I ever had here. It was delicious. The rice and gandules, I have had better. But the pernil was on point. It was like a mixture between Spanish food, Chinese food, and American food, like hamburgers and lo mein. Do not ever try the sushi. If you want good sushi you gotta try fresh Japanese sushi somewhere where they make it for you right in front of your face, its delicious but not the sushi from this place. My uncle told me to try it, shouldn't have eaten it because I almost barfed it back up because I could taste that the salmon wasnt fresh. The place looks like it used to be a Chinese buffet because we ate at tables that had Chinese art and lettering in them. The dessert buffet was the best part of my time there. Tried the rice pudding it was amazing, just the right density and not too sweet. The flan was on point. Best flan I ever had. Ate a big bowl of it. Then the ice cream, I pigged out on that. If your skinny and eat here you're gonna walk out fat. The bathrooms were disgusting didn't have toilet paper or paper towels and low on soap. But I loved the fact that when we were making our plates the food was steaming hot that's what I like. Clean food area and eating area but the bathrooms werent up to part. The place could of definitely been decorated better too to make it look more like a Puerto style buffet but the food was definitely authentic. I loved the platanos they were the sweet ones like I like but the pasteles I tried, I took one bite and my mouth was on fire. There's absolutely no reason for a pastele to be spicy like that im sorry but my mother makes the best pasteles. The masa was dry and tasted bitter and had like no flavor, my mouth was burning. I have mixed feeling about the food, most of it was authentic but was disappointed with some of the food. Rated 3 stars for food. Took two stars away for certain food not being good and bathrooms being disgusting. Will probably try it again some day but I doubt it. Satisfied but not satisfied.

R.I.P. el gran palacio on lancaster, you used to be so great. so authentic and delicious. now you're "the rooster" something. i should've listened to my gut when i walked in and saw that your buffet doesn't have a single germ-shield anymore. my family and i got our germs to-go. and though your food tasted ... ok ... you kept us on the toilet for days. you'll be missed, your twin on OBT is a joke.

This used to be a great lunch spot for me and my coworkers. however since they made some changes to their restaurant the food quality has suffered. i went there a week ago and it was lunch time and the food look like it was there from last night. so the little i did put in my to go box i just left it next to the day old buffet food and walked out.

El Gran Palacio is a typical Latin buffet restaurant. The food was decent, the service not so much. The cheapest plastic silverware possible and not enough napkins given. No condiments. The only good thing was the average food. I wouldn't go again.

I hate to admit it but we have become like family here. The price is about what you will pay for a kids entree anywhere else and, local tip, the menu gets tweaked daily. Its closed on Mondays and now its $6.49 per person but it beats cooking and the sazon they use its uncomparable. Say hi to Don Rafa for me and in no time, you'll become a regular too!

This place was great! Dominican and Puerto Rican food buffet style. True to its roots and a very affordable price.

An authentic Spanish buffet to fill your heart's desire. I typically score two and a half plates per visit. Don't let the venue scare you away. It's not the nicest outfitting, but the food is phenomenal and priced just right. The place feels family owned and there are no instructions going in. Get your plate, ladies come for drink order, and you pay at the register before you leave. Max out on rice/beans and stewed chicken! Yum. Those buttered breads are addictive too. Love that they have Jupina. With all the choice, it doesn't hurt to get a little bit of everything.

It is not frequent that you come across a restaurant with a family oriented environment. The highlight of my night other than the exemplary and authentic spanish food was the friendly cashier/waiter. I visited twice; once in the afternoon and once around 8:30pm. The only issue I did come across was during the evening visit; the food was great and had fabulous flavor although the chicken and beef dishes were less than hot. The rice and beans are always up to par; easily my favorite dish. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone with an empty stomach and a longing for a home cooked meal.

This place used to be amazing. It must be under new management with new cooks. The feed was not flavorful. The empanadas as basically fried dough with little to no meat. Such a disappointment. This was one of my favorite places once upon a time.

Can't beat the price and good selection of food. Not the fanciest of places though.

I was really hoping to eat a delicious meal for less than $10. Boy was I wrong! $10 bucks will feed you stale bad food! WON'T EVER GO BACK, YUCK!!!!!!!!!!
