The ramen was fresh, the noodles are not frozen or fried. It's simply delicious! The broth is very tasty and you can indicate how spicy you want it. While your meal is being prepared, you can walk around the store for tasty snacks to buy! They have a lot of vegetarian grocery items. I definitely recommend! Even though it's a grocery store, I go there mainly for their ramen and special bun!

Discovered this place looking for my beauty diary sheet masks. This place has yummy lunch and all the Asians snack and candy you can dream of. Their prices are responsible and the staff is very nice. They speak English and are helpful. Their cafe has vegetarian options that are delicious. The special bun is spicy and filled with tofu. Their boba is cooked to perfection and the taro slush is delicious.

I've come here multiple times to buy things like kimchi and instant ramen. However I had always walked by the restaurant portion of the market and dismissed it. The actual market has everything you could want from mochi to a ton of different soy sauces and quail eggs! They also have a very large tea selection and even sell matcha. They have really good dumplings in the frozen section as well! Things like Pocky, Hi-Chew, and Hello Panda are also sold in the market. If you're looking for something really good they have these matcha cookies (in the cookie/cracker section) that are really thin tea cookies and taste amazing! The noodle selection is very large and I tend to find myself coming here pretty often for instant ramen and soba (buckwheat) noodles. Now to the restaurant - wow! Talk about some pretty good ramen, I can't believe how long it took me to actually have a meal here. Everything on the menu is vegetarian and sounds delicious. I had the ramen and while it wasn't the most authentic or best ramen I've had in Orlando it was pretty good. The veggie beef tastes just like meat and has even the same texture of meat. The broth was flavorful and the bok choy it came with was perfectly cooked. I also ordered a black tea milk boba tea which was really good. The only thing was the tapioca boba pearls were a bit over cooked and mushy. The flavor of the tea was great though. Overall, I can't believe I had been coming here for so long and never bothered to try out their food! It's definitely worth trying and I can see myself coming back here again soon.

I love the location of this market. I can get most of my needs here, but it is a bit pricey. If I need something quick, I can come here instead of going all the way downtown. The little cafe is cute, too. They don't have a huge selection, but if I want a quick bite, I can grab one here. The service is always nice and friendly.

Visiting Orlando for a week, went to this store and tried their noodles and few other dishes, nothing really special and it was less than okay. I was expecting better after reading all these good yelp reviews.

When I need Asian groceries , I come here! They always have what I need, and the selection is great. No need to go downtown anymore, I can stay on the east side of town. Extremely happy!

I don't know if you can consider the Ramen they serve here as authentic but what I can tell you is that it's incredibly delicious; you will never miss the meat. They crisp up the veg beef before they place it in the broth and the different textures really make a delicious difference. We ordered ours spicy but I didn't really think it was spicy so if you enjoy spicy ramen, ask for it to be extra spicy. The Veg bun was alright, not as tasty as flavorful as the Ramen, I probably wouldn't order it again. I got a milk tea and the intensity of the tea itself could've been stronger but overall it was good. What I really loved was the fact that apart from being able to eat in, you can shop around while you wait for your food and despite it being a small place, they have a good variety of Asian products including, but not limited to Japanese Bento boxes! I'll definitely be back for more of the Ramen.

Wow! Impressed by what this Asian store has, but wished it was much bigger. Upon entering you will see there is a small cafe to the right. It was actually tiny. I didn't see anyone working so I kept moving on. To the left in the front you will find many varieties of beer and sake, which I took mental note as I have family coming into town next week. (I will be back) I was able to find most everything that I was looking for. I can see how this place may be hard to navigate thru on the weekend where there are more people shopping. For a better shopping experience come during the week. The only thing that could make this place SO much better is if they sold Banh Mi.

Oh my goodness this place is amazing! Came in to get a bubble tea and spent more time perusing the aisles than anything else. Such a great variety of items and the employees were very friendly. My son and I each had a traditional boba tea. The boba wasn't as sweet as most places, but the tea took me back to a trip to Taiwan I took some 15 years ago. My daughter, who's not yet two, loves tea and as we were leaving I let her have a sip of mine. The employees were so sweet telling us to tell my daughter "chew them up!" thinking she would get a tapioca pearl. I assured them she just got the tea. But it was nice they were concerned. NO other bubble tea place has ever shown any concern. Thank you kind women. I have a few Asian dishes is like to make, but I need to make a grocery list before coming back.

Thanks Fellow Yelpers for recommending Eastside Asian Market. I found everything I needed, and had a fun vegetarian lunch while there. This market is not as big as some of the markets in the Mills/Colonial Drive area. Prices for products appeared reasonable. Cost of lunch appeared on the high end of reasonable. Store is clean and loaded with items: frozen, fresh, and other packaged items. They also sell dishware and cookware. Oh! and they sell Makgeolli- Korean Rice Wine. Yum!

This is the second time I have been to Eastside Asian Market, first time was maybe last year, or the year before... If you have been to other Asian grocery stores, first thing you would notice (or not notice) when you walk in to Eastside Asian Market is that it does not smell. To the right of the entrance, you will find a small section selling cooked food. The food are vegetarian. I had the ramen noodle and iced Thai tea, they were both good. I very much liked the vegetarian "beef" in the ramen noodle soup, too bad they do not sell them as a grocery item. The place is small, clean, organized, doesn't smell. Staff are friendly. The selection is not as large as the big Asian grocery store in Pine Hills, price might be slightly higher, but this is a small business, I'd rather support them. Plus the probability of getting shot or mugged on this side of town is much lower than Pine Hills. I called and asked if they have fresh lychee, not canned ones, and if the lychee are bright red. The guy said yes they have fresh ones. He told me to be honest, they aren't bright red. I very much appreciated his honestly. I drove across town to the store and checked for myself, the lychee looked ok, not bright bright red but decent (note, end of July isn't really peak lychee season, so I understand), so I bought some anyways. I just ate some, they were sweet and delicious. (On a side note, I called the big Asian store during lychee peak season and was told they have fresh lychee, drove across town to find out that was a lie). There were some customers who keep wanting price check while the staff was eating lunch. Each time, the staff got up and check the prices, without getting annoyed. I think that's nice. You would not find that in the big store in Pine Hills. Overall, I'd recommend this store. Tip: Eastside Asian Market is located in a small plaza between Marathon gas station and BP gas station. You can cut through Marathon for sure... not sure about BP (but I think so).

Sometimes it's not possible to drive all the way to West Colonial Drive and its plethora of Asian Markets. Eastside totally delivers everything I need for my Asian cooking needs. DON'T EXPECT DOZENS OF BRANDS Sure there's not two dozen brands of Sesame Oil or Coconut Milk... but at least you have the basics. So far it looks like everything you need for basic Asian cooking is present including a few quirky items I've never really noticed at other Oriental Markets--certain Japanese energy drinks, Quail Eggs in cans, Philippine Coconut desserts for instance. A tiny produce section even contains crisp-looking popular Veggies. Coming from Tampa Bay and seeing its Oriental Markets there, this one follows the Orlando Oriental Market trend by having things slightly more expensive (by 25 cents to a dollar) more than its Western neighbor. LIKING THE LAYOUT I haven't tried the little Café at the entrance (tiny open kitchen--you can easily peek inside--and enough tables to seat only a dozen) but the food I saw there looked homemade but rushed. This Market is bigger than I thought but definitely not as big as the Colonial Drive ones. Aisles were clean and "relatively" organized--it's hard to keep everything in very sensible areas when there's not much space.

I'm sorry to ruin the party of positive reviews, but we were not at all impressed. We were all left trying to find something to take the taste out of our mouths. Having had good ramen in Tokyo, NYC, and SoCal, this was extremely disappointing. The lo mein was even less impressive. The staff were friendly, but the food was just not good. I may shop the market, but I won't be going back to eat the food. Sorry. Just not good.

Great little Asian market in east Orlando. They have a decent selection of goods, and prices are competitive to the markets downtown. The little cafe is a great place for a snack, as long as you are OK with vegetarian. Fresh ingredients are put together quickly for a great tasting meal.

First time here and I love it! Everything on their menu is vegetarian!!!! Plus, they sell everything Asian from plates, pots, snacks, meat & more!!! Wish they had one in west palm beach!

First time here and I absolutely loved it! I am not vegetarian but sometimes it's ok not to eat meat. The Ramen was super delicious and filling and the vegetarian fried dumplings were oh so yummy! I couldn't resist! It's tough finding good Ramen in Florida. Thank you Yelp!

I love to cook eastern foods...especially Thai recipes. And this place has just about everything I need to do that... and it's close to us! No more driving all over town to find unusual ingredients. SELECTION Great! All kinds of stuff. A variety of soy sauces, fish sauces, curries, fresh veggies, frozen meats, frozen h'ors doeuvres types of things, Pocky and all kinds of snacks, including freshly made stuff from a local bakery...like sesame balls. I also was able to find coconut vinegar and Silver Swan soy sauce here, for extra authentic chicken adobo, Philipino-style. TAKE-OUT I have ordered food from the deli/kitchen inside a couple of times, and have always been pleased. Cheap, fast, not too unhealthy, and freshly prepared to order. There are a handful of small tables if you want to eat there, or they can box it up. SERVICE Usually friendly, always fast!

Been here 3 times for the food, just down right simple and delicious! Tip: They don't have a tip option when you pay, may want to bring case or let them know just in case you don't want to feel weird!

Yes, this is the cleanest Asian supermarket. However, here are the reason why I gave them a 2 stars: 1) Tiny Asian market with very limited option 2) Over price!!! Being a newbie to Orlando I went here first due to the fantastic review. After leaving the place, I thought to myself "Wow Orlando Asian food is expensive". 3) Customer service was so so. I asked the lady where the oyster sauce was. She points me to the sauce area. It was a tiny grocery store; I have already walked through that area and did not see it that is why I asked. Been here for a month and have gone to other Asian markets, which made me realize this place is quite subpar.

The best Asian market to visit. The food is really good and they will give you tips on how to make it yourself. The boba is to die for. It is a great place to explore in the orlando area. The store part of it is very clean and organized.

Great Asian grocery store. I went looking for a couple items that were recently featured in GQ magazine, and Eastside had them. They were Shark brand sriracha sauce from Thailand and Kewpie mayonnaise from Japan. The tea selection was impressive. In fact, Eastside had a better selection of Prince of Peace teas than First Oriental. Two varieties that aren't carried at First Oriental but at Eastside are the Puer-Eh and White teas. I got the famous hot buns to go; delicious. I am definitely coming back here. I like the fact that the store doesn't stink of fish like at the other place.

Most of the Asian markets in Orlando are usually in Viet Town, so it's a hassle for a student who lives near UCF Campus. I was happy that I got to stumble upon this store while driving one day from class. It is very convenient and saves lots of gas for me. I really love the organization and the variety of grocery the store has. Every time I visit, the family were always eager and delighted to help me out with what I need. They are very friendly, and I love their cafe menu! Their red bean slush is one of my favourites.

Special buns are delicious (and vegetarian), they serve boba tea, and their produce is fresher than Publix. Owner will answer any questions and try to get things in for you if you ask. I always feel like I want to support this store more than I already do. Yes, it is hard to get into the parking lot, but it's worth it. Very clean. Color me a fan!

Great grocery store and a huge plus for the east side of town. They have everything the downtown markets do besides a pastry counter! Found all the noodles, sausage and even frozen meats we usually buy downtown. They are super friendly and next time will try out the cafe. Will be shopping more go try it out.

I was super impressed by the cleanliness of the store. The owners were very friendly, and I overheard them helping other customers. There is a pretty good selection of everything. Knocked off 1 star because I couldn't find a mortar and pestle, which I went there for. Oh well. Otherwise, it's a great place. Check it out!

All the great Asian markets in Orlando are located either near downtown in the Mills Avenue / SR 50 area or on the west side at Pine Hills at the 1st Oriental Market. Although small Asian Markets have existed through out the east side of Orlando for a while now, the newly opened Eastside Asian Market is the largest one to open to date and is a welcomed addition for those living on the east side who need to buy their Asian goods without traveling far. Eastside Asian Market sits just east of the 408 exit on Colonial Drive in a newly built plaza next to the BP gas station. The market is sparkling clean and new, stocked with the essentials of Asian cooking from soy sauces, noodles, rice, dried mushrooms, and more. The even have a large selection of ramen for those of you who are on a tight budget or going to UCF. Though they are not as large as the ones downtown or on the west, their selection should be sufficient for most shopper's everyday needs. Eastside Asian Market is owned by a local family here in Orlando who are devout Buddhists and vegetarians. You will notice that they have a large variety of vegetarian items at this Asian market including the veggies and fruits, they have tofu products and "faux" meat items that spice up the typical vegetarian diet. They also quartered off a section of the market into a cafe with a developing menu specializing in Taiwanese dishes and, all of course, vegetarian. At their cafe, they currently serve boba milk tea, taro slush, flavored black tea (passionfruit, mango, strawberry, lychee), shaved ice, fruit slush, fruit smoothies, special buns, egg rolls, dumplings, egg pancakes, and are still adding items as time goes on. On a recent Friday afternoon, I had the chance to try the famous vegetarian "special buns" (2 for $4.99). The recipe is a secret and has been made by the owner Ronald's father for over 20 years at home as a treat. The special buns were delicious, spicy flavored slices of tofu and mushroom in sweet "mantou" wheat buns. I also had the deep fried dumplings (6 for $3.95) and they were also vegetarian and pretty delicious, not unlike the korean mandoo dumplings that I have had served in New York. I washed everything down with a nice cool cup of flavored passionfruit black tea. Overall, I think Eastside Asian Market is an awesome addition to the life on the east side of Orlando and hope they continue to bring fresh produce and food to Orlando.

Here is not easy to find:) this is next to bp gas station. They offer Taiwanese snacks. Actually the food here not really tasty, There still are a lot of space for improvement .

I always shop here once a week to get my nappa cabbage, green onion, enoki&shiitake mushroom, etc. The only thing I couldn't find here at the time (which I desperately needed) were dried big anchovies and korean radish. The shop is family owned, and it's quite funny because Ronald is someone I used to go to the temple with. This place is always super clean, and the staff are super helpful. Korean cooking items can be a little bit on the pricey side, so I would save those special ingredients for a Korean market.

Please note that this business is the same as Farm Fresh Produce ( yelp.com/biz/farm-fresh-… ). They use both names to broaden their clientele. Even if this store was across town, we would make the trip for it. But we don't have to - they've opened on the East side of town where we've been sorely lacking a market like this. Located right off the 408 so it's perfect for stopping on the way home from work, I expect this place to get a lot of business. In fact, while we were there, the staff/owners (it's a family owned place) were walking around helping people and asking for suggestions regarding other products we'd like them to carry. They said that while they had only been open for 4 days so far, they've seen great traffic. This is not like the other Asian markets in the Mills-50 Asian district. For one, my wife and I don't feel like we stand out just because we only speak English. Second, the products are better labeled and there's much better produce. Third, pretty much no meat. What meat they have comes in pre-packaged frozen items like gyoza or pork buns. This is a produce market. The entire family is vegetarian. But what they lack in meat, they make up for in a wide range of tofu and gluten options. Blocks of tofu? Got them. Gluten-chicken drumsticks? Got them. Gluten steaks? Got them. Gluten ginger chicken? Gluten duck? Got those too. This place is like a vegetarian's dream. Of course, they also sell all the usual items at Asian markets - all the spices, teas, treats, ingredients, rice - they even sell big bags of MSG. Prices range from good (ie: comparable to Publix) to "Holy crap - what's wrong with it - that's way too cheap!". Even the stuff that was priced similarly to Publix, the produce here looked better and fresher. The bananas were still green (no, I'm not confusing them with plantains - those were next to the bananas). We walked out with a cart full of produce, gluten items, rice and frozens snacks for only $35. In addition to all of the produce and packaged goods, they also have a little cafe with bubble tea, iced tea and various specials. Today's special was two spicy vegetarian-ham buns for $5 and free samples of the bubble tea. The buns were perfectly sized for snacking and tasted incredible. This is seriously pretty much everything I've ever wanted in an Asian market, and it's right next to home.

So happy this market is in town. What sets it apart from every other Asian market I've been to in Orlando is that it is CLEAN and ORGANIZED! Good selection too, the people who work there asked if there were other items that I would be interested in, so I guess they are working on perfecting their inventory. I was happy to find my favorite dumplings, Japanese snacks, and edamame though! The produce selection is huge and I couldn't believe some of the prices (ie pocket change for an overpacked container of fresh chili peppers). There's also a lot of produce that I haven't been able to find in other stores, including Asian eggplants, yuca, taro, daikon. Had a yummy boba tea at the cafe inside, will stop by just for a refreshment when I'm driving by. I hope this place is here to stay!

Wow, what a great find! Thanks to Joe C's great review, and me realizing this is really close to my house, I had to check it out. It's smaller than a lot of the big Asian markets I've been to, but it's big enough to carry just about everything you're looking for. As a vegetarian, many of the Asian markets in town are must-visits if you're looking for something a little different. They've got fake just about everything, from shrimp to chicken, burgers to whole duck. Eastside has a similar (albeit smaller) selection of these. Most of these markets all kinda carry the same stuff. So what sets Eastside apart? For one, the store is clean. This may be partially because it's new, but doesn't seem to have that funk of age on it that many of them do. More importantly, the service. It would seem like many of these markets that this place is family run. Both the mother and son (I'm guessing here) introduced themselves to me, noticed what I was purchasing and asked whether I'm a vegetarian. They both are, it turns out, and mom is really enthusiastic when another vegetarian comes in the shop. She immediately began running around grabbing things she thought I should try. The son explained how excited she gets. No apology needed, for me as a customer that's wonderful. Mom brought me over a jar of something with no English on it. The son explained it was a kind of preserved olive leaves in oil, and it's good tossed with tofu. She ran into the kitchen (they have a small deli on site where they'll make you many options, all vegetarian), and came back out with an opened jar, and gave me a forkful. She was right.... DELICIOUS. I walked out of there with more than I originally planned on purchasing, all with good tips on how to prepare it. What a seriously wonderful shopping experience. Owners who obviously care about their products, their customers, and have a passion for what they're selling. PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a vegetarian store, if you're just looking for a "regular" Asian market, they have everything you're used to. They're just vegetarian owners, and everything served in the deli is vegetarian. Highly recommended. Great people.

The market is tiny; however, they carry almost everything you'd need to whip up some Asian dishes. The price is a little higher than some other asian stores in the 50/mills area; however, I live so close to Eastside and willing to pay for convenience. Service is so-so; however, it is a step up compared to other Asian markets. The one thing I hate about this place is they don't open on time, the sign might say 10am but there are couple times....I sat in the parking lot until 10:10 - 10:15.

Clean and does not smell... I know sounds like should be common sense for grocery store but when it comes to shops on Colonial or Mills just not the case! I almost died of stench coming out of one in Chinatown.... DO NOT go THERE!! ... Come here instead. I find almost all my japanese stuff and prices are good and people r really nice. Wish the little café was open more they have tasty lo mein, and it's vegetarian!

We've been coming here instead of the bigger Asian shops further down Colonial because it's really clean, the staff is friendly, great selection, and there is a restaurant inside that serves awesome Japanese Ramen! And the fact that it is right down the street from UCF is great! They have an awesome frozen food area with dumplings, desserts, and all sorts of yummy stuff from all the different Asian ethnicities.

Today is their 1 year anniversary! I wanted ingredients for Tom Kha Gai, the delicious chicken coconut milk soup found in Thai restaurants. Friendliest folks in town. I am disabled, and they volunteered to do the shopping for me! Not only that, but I didn't have a recipe on me. No worries, the son found one he liked online, and off he went to fill my my cart. Meanwhile, I tried the "Special Bun" Yelpers were yelping about. Pretty good, I'd say! The store is clean and neat, and the produce looks fresh. My soup was delicious, and it was the first Asian dish I have ever prepared. Super easy, and so I will keep going back!

What a little gem of a place in east o-town! It's got all the essentials of an Asian grocery store, but with the warm mom & pop feel. The cafe has delicious selections and is perfect for either a large meal or a small snack on the go. The ramen is better than any specialty noodle restaurant - mark my words! You wouldn't even know its vegetarian bc it tastes so flavorful and is satisfying. The special buns are a unique and delicious and the egg pancakes are a real treat. And don't forget the mango slush or boba tea.... My mouth waters thinking about it. This is not a vegetarian store, and there are many meat selections, frozen or packaged. However, the fresh vegetables and hard-to-find mock-meat products are plentiful and yummy. The owners are helpful and if there is something you are looking for that they don't carry, they will make an effort to try to find it for you. Chinese stores and restaurants in general aren't known for their friendliness, but the customer service is what makes this place stand out from others. Granted, the older Chinese ladies can come off a bit "excited" when they are trying to sell their cafe selections or products, but it is obvious that it is because they are really trying to help you. Ronald is easy going, informative, English speaking, and educated (go gators!). So great that small businesses like this one are thriving. And love to support them. Take a visit, try a special bun!

Went here for the first time today. I decided to give it a try because I am in love with Asian cuisine and it's received positive reviews. After my first experience I have to say I'm impressed. They don't carry everything, but they carry a pretty good collection and the store is very well maintained. They also carry teapots and serve ware if you're looking for Asian-specific dishes. The two women running the store were very attentive and made me feel welcomed so I give the service an A. Also, try the special buns, they're very good (a bit spicy though!).

The food here is great especially since I'm vegetarian. Its really nice to have options. The only thing I don't like about this place is the customer service. I've been hung up on twice while trying to place an order and they're cheap on sauce. I asked for an additional egg roll sauce since I had 2 orders and they tried to give me duck sauce saying its the same thing. Its not. Also it would be nice if things were properly labeled with prices so the cashier doesn't have to think about it. If they would stop being cheap on sauce and being rude to customers I would buy more yummy food!

I live not five minutes from this place and WOW am I excited it's there! First of all, EAM has a huge selection and their prices are unbeatable, especially for produce. I can get a giant red bell pepper for $1! Ronald, whom I assume is the owner, is very helpful. I tell him what I'm making and he shows me what I need. I tend to cook a lot of Asian food, including Thai, and they have everything for it. He also talked me into making dim sum at home. I'm definitely a fan of EAM!

Its a new business so it has room for improvement. But it's clean, it has the basics for asian cooking and a decent fruit and vegetable section. I brought my friend over and she's excited there's an asian grocery store closer to home. If they open a cafe, it might become a hangout for me.

From the start I need to say this: if you "review" a place and simply give an opinion without giving reasons for that opinion, it's like having sex with a blow-up doll - it doesn't know any better, so you think you're great. So, I always give reviews in detail. It may be long, but I think it's more helpful than a tweet-sized snippet. For years we'd been moaning about the lack of a decent Asian food market on the east side. Making the trip to little Vietnam for knock-offs and moldy galangal wasn't my idea of fun. And few of them combine produce with product with food service. So, where is one to get duck eggs, kimchi, bok choy (baby and large), mango, dried squid, Pocky, cases of noodles (many, many kinds), "suicide" soda's and sit down for veggie buns (spicy), tea and mango smoothie in one place? This place! It just opened and, boy, are we happy to have them so near us. They're selection is wide, varied and larger than anything I've seen locally. And by that, I mean a 700 mile radius. They have fresh produce, tofu (spiced and un, hard and soft) a wide selection of soy sauces (yes, there are many different kinds of soy sauce although you wouldn't know it from the typical markets), a varied selection of authentic noodles (not that crap you ate - or are eating - in college) so many ingredients, spices, sauces and vegetarian options it made my head spin -after I stopped my swooning. What makes it even better is it's a family run shop and much of their produce is local. If you're lucky you can meet the whole family. I guess its two brothers who run the place and both will answer any questions and talk directly to you as a valued guest. It's obvious they respect their offerings and treat them with care and pride. As mentioned, they did just open so if you don't see something, they will make an effort to get it ordered for you. Their father makes a wicked vegetarian bun that he's been perfecting for over 17 years. And on the topic of vegetarianism, the whole family is vegetarian. So, they know. Which means, of course, if you're looking for meat this isn't really the place. Of course there are plenty of places to find that fare. This is an oasis in a desert of instant noodles and Americanized Chung-king egg rolls. And will certainly open the eyes of anyone who thinks MSG (otherwise known as "flavor") is a bad thing. But wait! There's more! The bonus to all this is? Their prices are AWESOME. For everything we bought I was shocked to have only spent $22. They could raise their prices and no one would bat an eye (but don't tell them that). By the way, if you're seeking the elusive high-grade Shaoxing cooking wine, it's here. This place is a dream come true! Our new favorite place to shop!

It's wonderful to have a proper market on this side of town. Ronald is one of the nicest people you will ever meet.

A great place to buy Asian food. They also have a few tables there and you can order food. They home cook everything you can watch them as they are cooking your food, and the food there is soooo good!! They cook vegetarian food which I love. The service there is great and they are very friendly people. We love to shop and eat there!

We took a trip to Orlando during spring break. We knew we wanted to check out some Oriental stores in the area before our drive back home. I was so excited to find this place online. My husband and I were debating if we should go here or the 1st Oriental since they were on the opposite direction. We decided to check this place out since I've read good review about the store online. First of the store was nice and clean so I give them that. The place was well organized and does not smell like some Oriental store. But that's were my good review ends. When we visited the place, there were two older ladies working there at the time. They were not friendly at all. I was looking for a vegetable that is not sold here in GA. I found one bag of it. I asked if they had anymore and the lady said she will go to the back and get more. So I wait, and wait for what seemed like eternity.. ok so like 10 mins and the lady comes out with ONE bag. I ask her if she had anymore and she said she will put one together again. I said ok so I waited again but told myself that if she took forever again to pack another one, I will just leave. Well it took her about the same time to come back out. I'm assuming they were bad and perhaps she was picking the bad parts off of them otherwise I dont think it took 10 mins to bag some vegetables. Anyways, I ended up buying 4 bags of it, which by the time we got home were all mushed and threw them away. While I was waiting for the vegetables the older lady (cashier) found some vegetables and some other grocery items that was left at the end of the aisles by another customer and she comes up to me with a slight attitude asking if there were mine (assuming they were mine). I told her no and she just walked away. No, "ok, thank you." I would not go back to this store ever!! We should have headed the other way. Im a business owner myself and I always treat customers with kindness especially NEW customers as I want them to return to my store. It was a waste of time and gas to drive here. My husband and I couldn't believe how rude there were. Sorry but this place horrible.

I drive by the market every day from work and have wanted to stop on various occasions, finally I did. This is great place. It's close to home and has a great selection. The produce was fresh, all the shelves were neat and organized. Overall, I had a great experience shopping and the staff was super polite and helpful. I will definitely be back.

After spending a few too many hours watching the Japanese channel on TV I decided to head to Eastside Asian Market and try cooking some of the cool stuff I had seen. Based on my very vague descriptions of what I saw on TV the employee helping me was able to direct me to the appropriate area for Japanese products I was looking for. I mean, I was pretty clueless, so this was pretty impressive. Prices are fantastic. I picked up a canister of sesame seeds for what I would pay for a tiny spice bottle of them at Publix (now I have sesame seeds for months!). In addition to general groceries we threw in a couple fun impulse buys, an adorable little lunch container for the kiddo and some fun rice molds (star-shaped rice balls, coming right up!). I loved the assortment of products and it was really fun just to look around and take everything in. I'm sure I'll be back the next time I decide to get adventurours with my cooking.
