This is the host bar for a kickball league. I came here with kicbalallers.... so your experience may vary. There is a food buffet, and beer pong, and flip cup. Mid week? yes they do.

This is a regular review, not for happy hour. Everything seemed fine at first...nice atmosphere, dj, & smiling faces. Then we had dinner. This may be one of the worst Mexican joints ever. 1.) my bill was $20, I had tacos and a margarita ( I get it...its dt, read on). 2.) my guava margarita (server-recommended) was incredibly weak and came in the same glass as water & beer (reminded me of a guava margarita without tequila). 3.) My beef tacos were lukewarm and had way too much cheddar cheese (i would have said something but the server never asked how my meal was). 4.) The dj's song selection and volume level. You would think you'd maybe hear some cool Mexican themed songs but all we got were circa 1999 remixes (cool if we were at the lodge). Also the music was crazy loud, had to yell to keep a convo. 5.) Apps came with dinner (tried my friends flavored guac, should of got the regular. roccos tacos is way better). 6.) We finally got refills when were ready to pay, come on man! And finally, we sat down at 8 and left at 9:30. Enough said. I'd much rather go to gringos, chipotle, roccos tacos, and even tijuanas. Save your hard earned $. We all have bad server experiences from time to time but the drinks, food, and price really left a sour taste in my mouth (probably just the guava puree talking). Would not recommend at all.

I went on Friday night expecting that I was going to have fun... but It wasn't . Our waitress was so slow for everything and if we ask for something he always said that he has to ask his manager. Guacamole was terrible, the flautas were ok. Tacos were good. The "Margaritas" didn't taste like margaritas. The Dj's was terrible; Pandora has a better playlist that him. Plus, the restaurant was so cold. I do not recommend this place at all.

I ordered the Burracho Burrito (beef). My wife ordered the shrimp tacos. 2 coronas, two margaritas under forty bucks! The good news? We loved it! We know good Mexican food. The portions are generous, guacamole fresh and the overall atmosphere is relaxing and festive. If your hungry and don't want bar food, this place is worth it.

We had a LS coupon and I was very happy to go and finally try some Mexican food here in Orlando.. I read various reviews on Yelp, good and bad but I wanted to see for myself. I wasn't disappointed. We were seated right away and the waitress was very friendly and took out our drink order right away. My husband ordered a Blood Orange Margarita which was great. The food came out very quickly and was very good. My only complaint was that it was very cold in the restaurant and my food got cold very quickly. During this time of year they need to close the door. I'll definitely got back again.

I went there last night because I saw they had some drink specials. I ordered a bloody Mary and I did not really enjoy it, it had an odd taste. I then ordered guacamole and that was awful as was the free salsa. The waiter was friendly but I do not see myself going back or recommending this place to anyone.

Agreeing with the other review regarding the level of service - terrible! No one greets you as you walk in, waitresses are unfriendly, and service is very slow! Food is average. Taco Tuesday specials are decent.

Wife and I had shrimp tacos and two burritos-- a buracho and a California burrito. Shrimp taco was excellent, California burrito tasted good (with fries on side), but buracho burrito was only so so. The service was really good, but it wasn't busy. With only one cook and one bartender a crowd would be a challenge

I stopped by here before a Magic game to get some grub and some drinks. We have been here several times out of convenience but it's never an amazing experience. There was only one bartender behind the bar helping everyone out, so sometimes it's frustrating having to wait your turn. The shot of tequila that he made was really watered so too. Glad it was just a shot, because it was pretty gross with so much water. The food is so so. We asked for some hot sauce and the bartender gave us a bottle with crusty hot sauce stuff around the edge (which it's whatever, I know it happens) but it did not have a top or a cap on it either. That's when I am getting kinda grossed out because I do not know what has touched the top. Wished that I loved this place, but this Tequila Parlour is sub-par.

I really wanted to like this place. There are so few easy, casual restaurants in this area, so I was so happy to see this welcome addition to the culinary landscape. We went in on a Monday night around 6:30 PM, and the place was deserted. Deserted as in, "we actually couldn't find anyone who worked there." There were two people sitting at the bar, we asked of the place was open and they said yes, but it took another 5 to 7 minutes to find an actual employee of this place in order to be seated and order food. We ambled around the entire restaurant, and it was only as we were actually walking out the door that someone came up to us. Once seated, the service itself was just fine. Not overwhelming, but friendly and moderately efficient. Unfortunately, the food only lives up to the first, lackadaisical impression. It was just...boring. The chicken and cheese quesadilla with pico de gallo had almost no flavor, the chips were unsalted and a little greasy, and the salsa, while of mild to medium heat, was mystically still fairly flavorless. With great choices such as The Rusty Spoon just a few yards away, I can't see that I'll be giving this one another try.

As the taco connoisseur of Orlando, I was excited to try this newer restaurant in the carousel of businesses called Church Street. First, the service was terrible. Our glasses sat empty. The waitress came around about once every 15 minutes, and even then did not notice my empty water glass until I asked for a refill. Second, the food was eh. My first taco was a brisket taco--the meat was overcooked and the seasoning was terrible. The second taco was shredded chicken. Well, the menu said shredded chicken, but the actual dish lacked the shredding. Just straight from a can lump of chicken that I had to shred myself to eat. The menu also indicates that each taco would come with cilantro and lime. Besides the paltry, sickly looking piece of lime on my plate, there were about 3 leaves of cilantro to spread out over two tacos. Hoping the next restaurant that follows this likely failure will offer more edible food.

My take on this place was "average tex-mex food with an above average atmosphere". I may be spoiled by Roccos Tacos in Dr. P... I have only been on weekend nights where the drinks are probably more priority than the food for everyone involved. Usually one of the stops on a night out downtown that consists of a little grub before moving on to the next place. You get what you expect food wise, atmosphere wise you get more than expected and sadly, the service usually leaves something to be desired. All in all, truthfully, I will go back and have some food and drinks on occassion...but, will never go out of my way if not already downtown though.

Very poor service. We did not have silverware during our entire meal because our server said they were "out of silverware". We could not eat our nachos entirely with our hands. The sad server lacked the customer service skills and slight human decency to bus a table next to ours in order to get 4 sets of silverware washed. I don't know what is going on in this place but if I were the manager and I was having this issue at 6pm on a Friday I would drive my ass to Target or somewhere near by to purchase some silverware to run the restaurant. It wasn't even busy. They also ran out of chips, took a very long time to get maybe a small handful of fresh chips. I had to get up to ask for water from the bar because my server did not refill my cup.

It's the old Antigua and looks like it as soon as you walk in but it feels a little different. Went in Monday night for dinner with the girls. Our server was very perky and very informative and on point, kudos to her. When we were seated at 6 there wasn't a huge crowd, only a few at the bar so sports were on and not much but background music. However, closer to 7pm a DJ setup and the music just kept getting louder and louder. There was not many more people, the bar did fill up a bit more but no one was there dancing so we requested to get it turned down a little (yeah, call me an old lady but we were trying to enjoy dinner and a conversation) so they did, they basically cut the speaker that was directed at our table. However, 20 min later it was back on. So that was a little frustrating. I get the bar feel at night, but it was Monday and not even 8pm. Oh well. We started with the guac and while it was not foodporn photo ready, it looked real dark and wet, it tasted great! Very salty and I love that. So the tacos all sounds delicious, however, you can't order a mix... you have to get 3 of the same... sooooooo to work around that two of us split Machaca beef: brisket, sharp cheddar, pico de gallo, cilantro ($10) and the Spicy Shrimp: white cheddar, avocado, corn, spicy mayo, cilantro ($12). They were both good but the shrimp was very messy to eat, not a problem, just giving you a heads up. I enjoyed the brisket the most, cooked great and had a lot of flavor. Now, drinks... Their happy hour is buy 1 get 1 but you have receive both at the same time and they have to be the same flavor. At least they warn you ahead of time. So, I looked at the menu and BAM - My eyes were like magnets to: sampler (pick 3) | ($15) - BRILLIANT! Margarita samplers - LOVE it, I will take that! (waitress butts in: they currently are not offering that because they have not received the sample size glasses.... then she says, I don't know why they don't do it anyway) I agree... fail! So hopefully they will get that fixed soon cause that is a good idea. I went with the waitress suggestion of Blood orange - Cazadores Reposado, blood orange juice, lime and it was refreshing. Overall, somewhat okay but def a downtown club feel over a place to grad a good dinner.

So I signed up online to receive their newsletter which offers a free appetizer. Email comes and it can't be displayed. Went to the restaurant for lunch and they wouldn't honour either my print out or accept the fact that their email wouldn't open in IE, Firefox, or Chrome. Server seemed like he didn't want to be there so it made the meal less than enjoyable..

You can't fix stupid and this place is broken. Several in our party ordered vodka and soda drinks which were served with "flat" soda. After two vain attempts to re-make our drinks with the same flat soda our mentally challenged server and the manager failed to correct this simple problem. then, in a bizarre attempt to explain our flat drinks as a phenomena caused by the recipe itself, we resigned ourselves to our fate. 30 minutes later, another in our party orders a soda water which comes out full of sparkling bubbles, as it should. Obviously they changed the CO2; a simple fix neither our server, manager or the bartender either cared to do or was beyond their pay-grade.

We stopped by here for a quick meal before an event at the Amway Center. I have been dying to try this place out and couldn't wait! I ordered 3 hard shelled tacos that were simply amazing! The carne asada, was melt in your mouth delicious, the steak was marinated perfectly and not overcooked (still pink in the center). The chicken taco was great and the beef was good just nothing special. If you like beef tacos then you would like this. I wish I knew how big they were going to be because I couldn't finish them. The price was right, beer was cold and the tacos were great. I def want to come back and try more items off their menu - the only thing I wish they did was serve sides with the tacos. Oh and they don't hand out chips and salsa for you to munch on either, so that was disappointing. I mean what's a Mexican place with no chips and salsa on your table?

Awesome spacious bar on Church street next to Urban Flats that took the old Antigua Nightclub spot. During the day they have a mariachi band and on the weekends at night they have the hottest go go dancers perform with hip hop and top 20 songs playing. The turnout was good on a Saturday, the place was full of a mixed crowd of late 20 year olds to 40 year olds.

I just ate here on cinco de mayo. It was pretty terrible all around. My fiance and I both had margaritas which had no tequila. We told the waitress and she brought us two more that then had a splash of tequila. My fiance got the fajitas which she said were ok. I got the chimichanga which they only put chicken in with cheese on top even though the menu said it had peppers and avocado. And after I felt sick. I never get sick as I have a pretty strong stomach. The server was fine but the food and drinks were so bad I will not come back and would suggest going somewhere else.

The wings were good however the drinks were over priced and the customer service at the bar was pretty bad. Only the women got attention. As far as being a bar to include in your list of bars to attend for a night, this would be one I would skip.

You know, from reading these reviews it looks as though the service here is extremely spotty, and may depend greatly on the time of day which you go to eat. All I can say is that of the 4-5 times I've eaten here, I have only had pretty positive experiences. The food has always been surprisingly good, and the service has been for the most part pretty solid. I have had some concerns with some of the waitresses not really knowing much about the menu, but other than that, no complaints. I would stick with Carnitas based food choices or perhaps steak, as I don't like to recommend ground beef at too many Mexican restaurants, and several yelp reviews have complained of its poor quality. The one time I tried the ground beef I didn't find it of particularly poor quality, but I would say there are much better choices you can make on the menu. The drinks are pretty good, and there are several different margarita flavors, all of which seem tasty. The general ambiance of the place is pretty nice as well. They have clearly spent some money to decorate the place, and I think there are nothing short of 3 bars inside. Overall, if you are downtown, you wont regret giving this place a try, especially at lunch. Later at night, noise can become an issue, and it sounds like service can tend to slip a little. But in my experience, you will be pleased with the food and drink, If they can shore up the service, it would be excellent.

How many times do you have to ask your server for a drink here? At least 3. And then good luck getting the right one. Do they know how to make the authentic Mexican drinks THAT ARE ON THE MENU? Nope! Do I have to go to the bar and ask for an empty glass and the ingredients to make it myself? Yep. Can I get some silverware and napkins? Sorry we just had a large party here and we don't have any silverware washed. So let's just eat with our hands! Which is what our table of seven did. And when we asked for napkins (you know, cause we were eating with our HANDS!) our tiny brained waitress brought us five. Five napkins for a table of seven that you couldn't even give silverware to so we are eating with our hands! It was like dinner and a show watching our waitress screw up over and over. You need to split the checks? Let me fuck that up royally for you. It's not like we don't see that one coming. So instead of getting her tiny little brain to try to fix it, we will all just pay for whatever it was you think each of us should pay for. I will never eat here again. The food was forgettable, but the service was not. And not in a good way.

I went on a saturday night. This place is happening. The DJ that night was great playing some 80's 90's. I tried some Guac and it was yummy although the Chicharone was too salty. Can't wait to go back

I dig it. I liked the atmosphere, although the music was a bit loud for an hour of dining. Turn the music down just a little...it's not Antigua anymore. I had the special of the day, which to my surprise was a well prepared (but overly spicey) Mahi-Mahi. I'm not sure the servers know how to handle large parties because our server struggled trying to meet 15 plus guest expectations. I would recommend staying away from the margarita and sangria, they were super sugary and tasted like fruit punch. The guacamole was amazing, really enjoyed it. I think within a couple of months they will work out all the kinks.

It was my first time their for happy hour with friends. They were very happy about the 2 for 1 specials and the drinks were not watered down. We got there around 630 PM and heard a great Mariachi band playing. They played until 7 and then a DJ set up and played. I wish I had heard the band play some more. The DJ didn't spin dance music just a mix of songs for a good sound throughout the place. They were a varying range of decades as well. The crowd was late 20s to 40s. People were dressed very nice and not work attire. The waitstaff was really great. The guacamole was awesome! I got the cilantro and corn version. It was a huge portion good for 3 people. The chips were good as well. There are three bar areas with a big one in the center. There are screen TVs mixed in as well. There is a mixture of seating. Boxed upholstered bench like areas on a raised platform, and large booth tables; tables on the floor that can easily accommodate large parties. There are also areas where the railing with narrow counters to stand out on a raised level area as well. It is set up kinda like a night club but, with no area to dance. The bathrooms were nicely designed, as well as the whole place. It has a great vibe to it. I parked down at the lot past Eternal Tap along the RR. Its only $5 and quick walk. IF you valet its $12!!

Over priced + Bad Food= Don Jefe's, and extremely loud music! Here is my experience........ went there on Friday around 6:30 for happy hour. Their happy hour drinks were 2 for 1 on certain margaritas and a few dollars off of their beers, not too bad but I like wine, which they had NO drink specials for that. Their wine is VERY over priced. I can't bring myself to spend $9.00 on a glass of wine that I can get at 7-11 for $10.00 a bottle. We ordered an appetizer, the regular Guacamole. It came out served with a small side of chips and in a pretty small bowl. It was by far the WORSE guacamole I have ever had. It was watery, and you can definitely tell it was some pre-made guacamole spread with added tomatoes. And they charge $7.00 for this disgusting soupy mess. Needless to say we told our server we did not like it. So then we tried their Queso dip, this was merely okay. I mean how bad can one mess up melted cheese. It tasted like velveeta cheese with some taco seasoning. Not impressed but definitely better than the Guac. For dinner I had their beef brisket tacos, 3 taco's served with watery shredded beef and a ton of cheddar cheese. I think I could have gone to Taco Bell and had a better taco! My friend ordered the shrimp tacos, they were grilled shrimp mixed with some aoli sauce and a little bit of cheese. Again... NOT IMPRESSED!!! The tacos were overpriced for the quality of food they serve. So basically a recap to my experience.. Their menu is very limited, the food is BLAH, and they have a DJ playing real loud music during dinner hours. I get that it's a "bar" but if you are going to serve food and have people dining in then you should turn the music down enough so people sitting next to each other don't have to SHOUT!!!!! My advice would be if you want to check this place out, go there for a drink or two, but run from the food!

I was a little hesitant about this place, considering how bad Antigua had gotten before they finally shut it down (how ever did they get the smell of urine out of there?). Anyway, we stopped in on a Saturday night. DJ Chino was doing his thing, a mix of hip hop and Latin music. There is a curiously placed bar that kind of cuts off the main dance floor, but we stopped there to get a drink, since ladies were drinking free. None of the bartenders were very friendly, but they were efficient. I can only review the nighttime Don Jefe's. I have not tried the food or anything other than basic well drinks that were part of the ladies' night special. Overall, it is typical Orlando nightclub fare. My only complaint was that my girlfriend and I went to the restroom, and she left a friend holding her drink - said friend was a guy. A bouncer told him that only women could drink free, took the drink away from our friend, and threw it in the trash. I think that is way too hardcore of a way to enforce the policy, particularly for a new place.

As you've seen from other reviewers, the service is terrible. In particular, Candace (currently has a half-shaved head) gave some of the worst service I've had in a long time. We came in before a 5 top (we were 3), but they received more attention, smiles, enthusiasm, politeness, chips (twice before we got our 1st batch). We were treated like a nuisance. I'm guessing she assumed since we did the 2 for 1 margaritas that we were going to be cheap. It's a nice self-fulfilling prophecy, because I tipped her 25 cents. I ate at Bento later in the evening and gave the server there an 80% tip since I didn't fully tip Candace. The brisket taco was pretty good, at least. One of my margaritas tasted like dirty city water. I don't understand why a tequila parlour can't make a margarita that's better than what a Gators Dockside could even muster. Overall, I've had better service at a McDonald's drive-thru.

I recently spent my Saturday night bar/restaurant hopping around downtown. I was visiting and looking to check out some cool new spots. This was our last stop of the night, we showed up around 10 and it was fairly busy so we sat up at the bar. There was a live DJ playing some decent dance music. The bartender came over to get our orders, although it was quite a wait for that to happen. My friend and I both got mixed drinks (no specials except a modelo/ tequila shot combo, no thanks! On the bright side, the drinks we got were strong and tasty!). We also split the skirt steak with chimichurri sauce and rice as well as a side of yucca fries. The steak was tasty and the accompanying sauce was quite zesty and delicious. The white rice on the other hand was as bland and boring as it gets. In this case, serving yellow or Mexican style rice would make it much better. Sadly, the yucca fries were not a winner in my book either. When I tried them plain, they were blah. When I dipped them in the oily sauce, it was so overpowered with garlic I couldn't even touch it again. Probably should have asked for ketchup. Oh well. Normally I love Mexican food. While I do give this place a thumbs up on the environment and drinks, the food was not quite on par.

My husband and I noticed this new place while walking around downtown and decided to stop in for a drink. We did not order any food, so this review is just on the drinks, decor, and service. The bartender gave us a drink menu right when we sat down, and my husband and I decided to order the margarita flight. It was $15 to try three different margaritas. They had several different flavors, so we were both really excited to try this out. Unfortunately the bartender told us they aren't doing the flights yet. He then told us that they were also out of 3 of the 6 margarita flavors.I know they just opened, but I still don't think this is acceptable. The drinks were good, but in my opinion, they were way too expensive. $8 per margarita and it was mostly ice. While sipping on the drinks, I began to notice that there were way too many bartenders behind that little bar. There were at least 5 workers crammed into a space made for 2. You can tell they are still trying to figure out how to schedule.I really like the look of this place. It is very large, has great decorations, and there is plenty of seating with two different bars. Looking forward to coming back once they have been opened for a bit longer.

they didn't have our reservation. we sat in utter bewilderment, awaiting anyone to approach & take our order. servers didn't know the menu. at all. the chips were so stale, so oily. ceviche met its maker long before it was presented to me as edible. WTF is going on in this place?

I've only been here for happy hour, so my review is solely based on that. I'm usually a beer or wine drinker, but since I was at a Mexican place and they had multiple flavors of margaritas, I decided to go with those. During happy hour they are 2-4-1 which is a total of $8.00 for two margaritas, not too bad. The margaritas are a nice size glass, and they don't overflow them with ice. They have an original margarita as well as pineapple, spicy mango, blood orange, guava and pomegranate. I had the guava which was nice, but it was a very light flavor and sweet. The blood orange was my favorite, it was delicious! The other happy hour special they have is all of their Mexican beers are $3.00. It's a huge place with three bars with plenty of seating as well as lots of tables. They had fans on high speed throughout the restaurant and we were freezing cold since it had been raining and they gladly turned the fans off for us, which was nice they were willing to accommodate us since some places would not. I would go back.

We were in Orlando for a show at the Amway Center and had a couple hours to kill, so we stopped in for a drink. It was early in the afternoon and not very busy so the bartender was tending to matters other than the bar so we did have to wait about 15 minutes before he was even visible but the bar was clean and the TVs were tuned to the game-of-interest for the day. Not a bad way to kill some time and they had a decent, though limited selection. For example, they did not have Absolut. Keeping in mind that this is a TEQUILA parlour, though...let's not discount them for their limited vodka selection.

EH. It was okayyy. My friends and I went bar hopping and ran into here first. We ordered a few drinks, mine being a sangria. I watched the bartender make my drink by grabbing an orange, ripping it up, and putting it on top of my ice and a slice on the rim for decoration. She waited a couple minutes and all of a sudden a bar back came in and brought two bottles of already made sangria... -__- ATTN TO NON SANGRIA LOVERS: Sangria is NEVER at its best when not prepared by recipe! Fresh fruits should be sliced and previously placed into the cocktail at time of preparation... Anyway, so I had two because the purpose was to be tipsy and move on to the next bar. I decided to order some queso and chips (Do not say nachos because they will say "no, we don't serve nachos.") and that was pretty good. Enough to sober up a little before moving forward. Definitely looks just like Antigua for those who have been there before it was shut down. Music and all still the same for the most part. Overall, it was an OK place for drinks and a small bite, wouldn't care too much for a full course meal here though.

Absolutely the worst experience I've had! Waited an hour and a half to end up getting all of our orders wrong and cold! I asked to see the manager and he passed by me six times before finally stopping at my table. Our poor waitress had to argue with the kitchen staff, the busboys and her manager to get anything taken care of! We only came here because Ceviche was a long wait and we found it strange that it wasn't busy on a concert night. Now we know why! I will never come here again, I told the manager there was no way I was paying for the rubbish they dropped at our table, I tipped our poor server and I left!

I've given this place so many chances, but the food service is just awful here. They're really not even trying. With a restaurant nowhere near capacity, you'll be lucky to get through a weekday lunch in less than 90 minutes. Today it took 2 hours. No more chances. I'm done with this place.

My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday night looking for a no fuss, laid back environment and a good margarita. When we showed up around 8 the place was dead, with maybe 4 or 5 tables seated. There was a sign at the front that said 'Seat Yourself', so we sat down in a booth, but we were not greeted by a waitress for 10-15 min even though more than one saw us sitting without menus or drinks. The waitress that eventually served us admitted that she 'wasn't paying attention' when I was placing my order, and she continued to 'barely pay attention' to us the entire time we were there by forgetting to bring silverware and then disappearing, not giving us a pen for the cc receipt, etc. We ordered guacamole, a chimichanga and the enchilada sampler. The guacamole was plain, with no flavor whatsoever. This is the worst guacamole I've ever had at a restaurant. The enchilada sampler my boyfriend ordered came out lukewarm and had obviously sat in the window way too long, and my chimichanga had a strange layer of hardened queso blanco in the middle that was less than appetizing. Additionally, the sides are all ala carte which is a little exuberant for the price of the poorly made entrees. The only redeeming quality was the margaritas (blood orange and jalapeño) which came out tasting good with plenty of alcohol. At the end of the meal our waitress practically pushed us out of the restaurant by bringing the bill far before we were ready, which was extremely distasteful. It's likely we would have purchase 2 or 3 more drinks if she hadn't dropped off the check. I could see this place being fun as a bar, but the restaurant has absolutely inexcusably terrible service and utterly lackluster food that both need to be drastically improved. Better yet--get rid of the food menu all together and stick to being a bar.

I loved the music they were playing in here. I felt like I was at home, aka, the Raiders game in Oakland (love you Raiders!). They had some football on for my coworker. If you order tortilla soup and you are from California, beware what they actually mean is chicken chilli. This thing was not soup. The enchiladas looked sad, but my coworker at them anyway. The dish was served with WHITE RICE, yes, like you get when you have say sushi, or chinese food.... Never seen such a thing at a Mexican spot, but hey. There's a first time for everything. He didn't even touch his bean soup (aka "refried beans"). In addition to my chicken chilli, I had two chicken tacos which were actually really good after I picked off the thick, crispy bad part of the onion that had "caramelized." 3 stars mainly because the people were really nice, the bathroom was really clean, and my tacos were good.

Our first visit to this place was on a Tuesday. This happened to be Taco Tuesday. 2-4-1 Margaritas $3 Cervesas $3 Tacos Live DJ We learned about this place by just walking by, so we had to stop in. The music at this place was awesome! 80's 90's and early 2000's. It was a blast from the past! The decor is great! Alot of Dia de los Muertos decor. They turned the old Antigua night club into this restaurant. We ordered 2 margaritas as they were 2-4-1. The Pomegranate ones were not so great, but we then ordered the Blood Orange Marg and it was great! They don't provide chips to your table but for $7 you get a huge helping of home made salsa and unlimited chips. We each ordered the 3 taco dishes. I got 3 of the Carne Asada Steak tacos and my boyfriend got the chicken. We barely waited and the food came out on huge plates. The tacos were delicious! I highly recommend the Steak Tacos! On tuesdays they are only $9 as compared to $14 usually. Our server was named Aileen. She was a star! Always had a smile on her face and was very knowledgeable about all the tequila on the menu. I recommend you ask for her if you go! The menu was a little small BUT we were told by management that they would be expanding their menu in 2 weeks. It was fairly pricey but if you go on Taco Tuesday they have plenty of deals to take advantage off! Great Atmosphere, Service, and Food!!!

Do yourself a favor, and just don't eat here... Maybe you can drink there, everyone in my group enjoyed the margaritas, but the food left alot to be desired. If you must eat here, don't... I repeat DON'T order anything with the ground beef/ taco meat. It is the worst tasting thing I have ever had, like lower quality than Del Taco! It literally tastes like it was seasoned with Chef Boyardee... eww! I got my burrito replaced from taco meat to steak (which is what I thought it was supposed to be) and the steak was very good. Also, the guacamole is very tasty, and it's a generous portion. We went on a Wednesday, which is their new Wine Down special. The music was deafeningly loud, with this loud screaming rock band screaming into the mic. We couldn't get out fast enough! The waiter would go missing for long periods of time, while we needed chips, water, the check, whatever-- I don't know what was keeping him, because there were very few people sitting and eating... bad service, mediocre food, good drinks!

Terrible service, lousy drinks. Waited over 45 minutes after our order was placed, no food. Got our check & left. It does not matter that 25% was taken off our drink bill. Our evening was ruined.

Nice replacement for the frat boy atmosphere of the previous occupant. Only tried an app or two but they were very good (guac for instance). Still, much more of a drinking place than anything else, at least so far.

Service good. Drinks good. Appetizers ok. Food cold. Server brought out some of the food and said the rice will be out in 15 more minutes. We requested they hold the few dishes that were out until they could complete them with the rice and the rest of the order. They came back in about 2 minutes with cold food and some cold rice. Enjoy the drinks, skip the food.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
