Lately has been getting Much better with the workers. They have been much friendlier and efficient. Food is always good, like that can eat inside up till 4am as I go out for food late often. Please keep this open as closest del taco near me!

Del Taco is heaven on earth. I sometimes wake up screaming in the middle of the night because I have nightmares about a world where there is no Del Taco. How sad a world would that be???? The tacos are phenomenal fast food tacos. They taste like real dead cow unlike that other taco fast food chain. My standard operating procedure is to put one scorcho and one inferno on each taco. The crinkle cut friez are the bomb. This location by UCF is spotless, the service is friendly and its open 24 horas!

Been a regular for years. Pros: +Taco bell level prices +Doesn't fuckin taste like Taco Bell +Ron Swanson approved breakfast steak tacos Cons: -The Epic Burritos are ass. -Drive thru wait time can bottleneck harder than Rush hour Alafaya Traffic. Giving this five stars because of the staff and management. The other day i ran over a beer bottle when using the drive thru. The bottle shattered and the shards tore through my right front tire like Blake Griffin dunking on Paul Gasol. After speaking to staff and management, the Franchise owner paid for a brand new tire. Honesty and integrity is hard to come by. Great place.

The service here is... weird. Half the time, they're cheerful and friendly, and half the time, well, they're flat and unhappy. Extreme ends of the friendliness spectrum aside, the food is alright. It's best if you're on your way home from a drunken night or have been up way too late studying, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

I advise to stay away on any weekend night. Incredibly slow.. even though there may not be a line. 20 minutes and counting currently.

We just went here the other night...We had actually gone to a Steak N Shake and when we got to the drive thru we just weren't feeling it...So we went to Del Taco. I have been here a couple of other times, I am pretty sure each time I was drunk :) I barely remembered what they had on their menu.. They have a great variety, and I love that they're open for 24 hours. I got 2 beef tacos for a dollar a piece and they were filled with cheese and tomatoes *and beef*. It is like night and day from what I would get at taco bell for the same price. I really loved the freshness of the food, which I am guessing is why the drive thru can be a bit time consuming. So worth it. I pass 2 taco bells to get to Del Taco, but it will be worth it every time! Next time, breakfast!

Service is very slow but the food is good. Shrimp and fish tacos are great. Drive thru takes forever. You can feast for like $3. Ole!

This place is disgusting with horrible food. Oh yeah, and the lady at the counter and her buddies in the kitchen started laughing and making fun of our party while we were ordering our food. Super rude and unprofessional. I will NEVER be back.

The food tastes fresh and is dirt cheap. The chicken tacos are $1 dollar and are very delicious. Recommended for those on a time crunch for lunch, in and out under 5 minutes. Their menu is very budget friendly for the tightly costed college student.

When I first heard they were building a Del Taco in the UCF area, I basically thought "wait, so it's just another version of Taco Bell?" And in a lot of respects, people could argue that the 2 fast-food joints are very similar. However, there are a few more options at Del Taco, something which I think makes the chain superior to its competitor. #1. Chicken Tacos At Del Taco, chicken tacos are a menu item, and not something that has to be requested for an additional fee. Definitely a healthier alternative, and also a good way to ensure you're not eating dog-food grade beef. #2. Nachooos/Tortilla Chips/French fries? At Del Taco, you have a few alternatives to round out your value meal--you can choose tortilla chips, nachos with or without cheese sauce, or even french fries. I know that sounds odd for a Mexican food place, but hey, it is still a drive-thru. #3. Fish Tacos! At Del Taco, fish tacos are also a menu item. And they are delicious. The only thing to note here is that they are typically fried fish nugget tacos. Perhaps not the healthiest. Overall, as other people have mentioned this Del Taco works for the UCF community because it is open 24 hours and has free wi-fi. That kinda makes it one of those seemingly great late night decision places....

I've been to Del Taco too many times- you can tell by the assortment of their MACHO cups in my room. For the purpose that it serves, Del Taco is actually pretty good. They're cheap and open 24 hours across the street from a huge college campus- aka. drunk person heaven. Since I don't drink, this is where I tend to go when it's 12 or 1 AM and I'm hungry. I usually order the Spicy Chicken Burrito or two Chicken Soft Tacos and they almost always come out great! If not for my latest experience there, I would probably give them 4 stars. Walking into the restaurant at 12AM, I'm faced with a french fry food fight. Not between customers. Two staff members and a drunk guy were going at it with the french fries. They were flying from one side of the ordering table to the other, with them all picking up fries off the floor and chucking them across- right next to the fryers and the food prep table. And the best part? The manager walks by and not a word comes out of his mouth. For pure sanitary reasons, I'm not sure if I'm going back.

Do you want to have a 20 hour stomach ache? Are you annihilated-ly impaired due to alcohol? You have found your 24 hour taco place. This widely known California chain brings more validity to the UCF area, and is 2 steps up from taco bell, but unfortunately will have you stepping around your toilet soon after you wake up from your night out in a foggy, drunken taco haze. Always upsets my stomach, but I can barely resist when I'm near there.

Before I review my personal experiences with this restaurant, I will give you some info on the restaurant: 1. It is open 24 hours a day, with breakfast served from 11pm - 11 am. 2. The menu includes Mexican and American food (think tacos and burgers) with a variety of items you won't find anywhere else (like fried jalapeno rings). 3. The food tastes fresh and is inexpensive. 4. It is located off University near Alafaya, right next to the Burger King. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for my last visit. I actually visited this particular store 4 times today!! The fourth visit may be the reason I will not return to this particular restaurant again. I would like to give credit where it is due, so here is a review of each of my four visits today: The first visit was for breakfast at 7:00am. The service was really slow but the food was delicious and definitely worth the wait. This visit gets a 5 star rating. I decided to go back for lunch. The service was slow again and my burrito was left out of my order but everything else was good. This visit gets a 4 star rating. I returned a third time around 7pm and this time the service was very fast and the food was also good. They resolved my missing burrito dilemma from earlier in the day and the staff was extremely nice. This visit gets a 5 star rating. The fourth visit was for an order of breakfast burritos at 11:30pm. The service was on the slow side but the food was absolutely disgusting! The burritos had a burnt and unusual flavor, complete with black specks of charred who-knows-what. I opened my burrito and saw a small piece of burnt chicken along with the black burnt pieces, all mixed in with the eggs. As someone who is an ovo-lacto vegetarian (I have not eaten meat or chicken in 12 years) this experience was mortifying. I went from being an obsessed customer to a disgusted customer in less than 24 hours. I give this visit a 1 star rating. The average of all my ratings is just shy of 4 stars.

Not really impressed with this Del Taco. This is only the second Del Taco I have been to, and the first was much better. I spent $10 on my meal..yes, at Del Taco. I ordered a Chicken Burrito combo, and a fish Taco. I would much rather drive a little farther and pay the same at Tijuana Flats for far superior food. Won't be back....

For what it is, fast food mexican, it's a 4 star place. I had heard about Del Taco for years and always seen it when I traveled to the west coast. I never tried it because there are enough amazing real Mexican places to tide you over out there. In Orlando we have a SEVERE lack of good cheap Mexican. Del Taco fills that gap perfectly. I tried the Taco Del Carbon which is their version of a real mexican street taco. Yummy fresh cilantro and onions with big marinated pieces of real chicken. Prices are just a tiny bit more than Taco Bell - its amazing the quality difference. This is a 24 hour location and there is plenty of parking. It is within walking distance of the UCF campus.

Not as good as the ones in California, but great place for a quick meal. Good chicken tacos, burgers and fries. The staff was friendly, but I was the only one in the drive thru and I waited about 5 minutes from the time I paid to get my food. They did apologize for the wait.

What can I say, Del Taco is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. Having moved to an area with no Del, I had to stop and get something. I know the food isn't the highest quality. I know the food isn't great. For some reason, Del Taco just seems to hit the spot. Some other people have complained about how long it took for the food to be up, and I agree this location is slow. My food was piping hot, so the reason for the slow service may be that items are made to order. I am willing to give them a couple extra min. for food made to order. I had the nacho fries. Now, if you order this they will say "macho nacho?" Make sure to say "no, nachos with fries rater than chips." They are soooo good. I also cover them in medium hot sauce. I don't know why I love them, but I do. I was a little bummed that they put the nacho fries in the chili fry box. In California they put them in the nacho container = double the food. This was a happy, nostalgic, stop for me.

Very slow service. I waited 21 minutes for my food in the drive-through. I'm not upset because I had nowhere in particular to be, but I'm just giving a warning for anyone else who may have a craving for a burrito and also may be on a time schedule. The food was ok, nothing to write home about.

Good for hanging out -- they've got free wifi and plenty of outlets for plugging in laptops during finals week :) Other places around UCF could learn a little from them... Taco Tuesdays are a regular occurrence for my friends and I. 3 tacos for 99 cents... can't beat that.

I wasn't terribly impressed but I wasn't put off either...this was my first time here and I grabbed the 2for5 bacon ranch grilled chicken burritos and I was very satisfied with the meal size. I also got a side of fries since I am a complete fry junkie and they were ..meh.. at best but once again not entirely bad. Overall the price was a little high for taco bell esque food but the taste wasn't as bad as people make it seem. I mean its fast food can't expect a five star meal from here...

Good place to chill and eat food that at least is better than Taco Bell. The variety of choices, including Burgers for some reason....is great to make you want to try some of their selections. I hope that sentence made sense.

I just came back from eating at Del Taco. Ordered the fish taco, chicken soft taco, jalapeno rings, and red bean burrito. It's definitely better than Taco Bell, but I had better. If you want fast and inexpensive food, this is your place and surprisingly they also have churros and burgers.

This place is getting some pretty bad reviews, but compared to Taco Bell it is awesome. The quality of the chicken is much better than Taco Bell. They make a pretty decent fast food cheese quesadilla or soft taco. I also like the strawberry lemonade and friend jalapeno rings. I have not been brave enough yet to try a fish taco or shrimp taco that I see advertised. I would also warn that the hot sauce is VERY hot compared to Taco Bell. I have gotten stomach aches after 2 or 3 separate visits because I consumed too much of this very spicy sauce.

Taco Tuesday = 3 Tacos for $0.99!! It's my new quick dinner before my 6-9pm class on Tuesdays... Does the freshman 15 still happen if it's your second degree?! Lord.
