This is a great option for guests staying at the Rosen Shingle Creek across the street who don't want to pay high prices at the hotel restaurants. It's also a great option for locals who want Chinese takeout. The food is pretty authentic and comes out very fast (most of their business comes from takeout). You can see the cooks in the kitchen and they are working like crazy on their giant flaming woks. There are the usual Americanized suspects (egg foo young, General Tso's chicken, etc.), but there are also plenty of unique dishes as well. The inside is pleasant enough and suitable for a sit-down meal with the family (which is what we did), but you never forget that this is a takeout joint because of the constant stream of people coming in and leaving with their orders. There's also a giant light-up wall above and behind the counter with pictures of several menu items. I thought that was a little weird, because if you open up the actual menu, there are many more items than those shown on the wall.

Just a nice small place. Great service. Even offered to Steam any dish and sauce on the side. So they make it as you order. Great for people watching calories. The hot and sour soup came out in minutes after ordering, even when they got a few walk in take our orders, the waitress was hustling. Only 6 tables, but you don't feel like it's a place that only does take out. The tables are wood and not a cheap diner style. Pictures of some menu items on the wall, but the website was very helpful to see what they offered. Super good deal for the money. They offer great lunch menu prices as well. If I lived here, I would be a regular.

The food was good and HOT/FRESH. a family member got the bourbon chicken and the sauce tasted like it was made fresh with real bourbon. I wish I had asked for my General Tsos to be extra spicy because I didn't think my order was spicy. Another family member got spicy chicken and broccoli and really enjoyed it. The chicken lo mein was really good. The restaurant/ food was worth the money.

This is hands down the best chinese food I've ever had. They pack in so much real flavor into their work. It's righ across the street from UCF Rosen, it's the only place I'll eat after class.

Great service and delicious food. China Tea gives a good portion for both the small and large sizes. The pork fried rice and the pork lo mein are super tasty. Just the right amount of veggies in the fried rice and noodles. The egg rolls are nice and crisp and are filled met and fillings. We ordered ahead and our food was waiting for us. Love the containers the large lo mein came in!

Best Chinese food I have ever had! I've been here for three weeks and have tried all the Chinese around. Because this one was newer I was a but nervous to try it. The sesame chicken was sooo good! They included tons of sauce with it which can sometimes be hard to find, and the sauce was absolutely wonderful. My husband hardly eats sesame chicken, but I couldn't keep him away from this! He said the crab and the egg rolls were also wonderful!

We ordered China Tea for delivery while staying in Orlando on vacation. Was pleasantly surprised! The food was great, and the delivery was quick (only a 1/2 hour when they told us 45 mins). We especially liked the Mongolian Beef and Chicken Egg Foo Yong. I told my husband that I wished this place was closer to home!

Very friendly service! The food came out very fast! The vegetable Moo Shu was very good. It usually comes with pancakes at other restaurants, but I'm glad this one came with tortillas. It gave it a lighter/ fresher taste. I will be back! Great go-to place when your pressed for time.

Legit, homestyle Chinese food. No MSG. It's in an upmarket strip mall with a Publix supermarket. Decor has stylish details like art-glass pendant lamps, definitely a cut above the usual takeout-type place, and perfect for a casual, low-key dinner out. You can even get wine in a fancy glass. Hubby and I were staying at the Hilton Orlando, and this place is a stone's throw away. I ordered chicken with green beans and hubby had pork lo mein. The dishes were served on classy square plates. Delicious and flavorful. If you're looking for a quiet joint far from the madding crowd, this is a great option.

We got delivery service to our Westgate Resort room. The food was great. Very large portions. And they are not joking around with the large soup. It was very fresh and hot when it arrived and very tasty. Would recommend to anyone looking for great delivery food!

It was pretty good. Some of the dishes could have been better but the Pad Thai was decent. Had mango bubble tea with boba and it was a bit bland. Pretty good for the price and close to the Vista Cay resort.

I have to say, I've been living in Florida now for the past three years and this is the best Chinese food I've had since I left New York City. I ordered the Bourbon Chicken, Chicken Lo-mein, Pork Fried Rice, and steamed dumplings. It was all super delicious! Unfortunately, we're just visiting Orlando and this place isn't next to my house in South Florida!!!! Kudos to the chef!!!!

I just moved to a different area in Orlando, and this was the highest rated Chinese restaurant around me. Unfortunately, I thought the food quality that everyone has raved about was of extremely low quality. I'm a local and always searching for good food, and most of the reviews below are from tourists. Not trying to knock anyone, but maybe trying to find a steady take-out place as opposed to just a one time order that's half-way decent while on vacation in your hotel room offers varying opinions. But, I digress. As for the food, I ordered: egg rolls, spare ribs, a chicken dish, shrimp dish, and house fried rice. First of all, the egg-rolls I can assure you were frozen. Whenever the pork inside the egg-rolls is that beige, almost gray color, and not the natural red/pink color, it's frozen. The spare ribs were also nontraditional and below average. They're usually glazed and roasted with that red, sweet and savory sauce. These were literally drenched in American-style BBQ sauce. Wow. The sesame chicken and the house fried rice were the only items that were not bad. Probably above average. As for the shrimp with lobster sauce, the shrimp were definitely frozen. It was also odd how the woman over the phone, upon taking my order, kept asking me about the level of spiciness for each entree. Since when is there a level of spiciness for sesame chicken and shrimp with lobster sauce? Weird. Lastly, I don't know if this has any impact on the reviews/ratings below, but on the front page of the menu, it literally says "grand opening". I don't know if it's always been like this or if it's new ownership, but the items are definitely not as fresh as everyone has stated below. All in all, this place is overpriced and too overrated. I will not return.

After a long days during around Florida, we wanted something Chinese and close to our hotel. My daughter found China Tea on yelp and we decided to give it a try. At night, was a bit difficult to find the location as the signs weren't too visible. In any event, went in & ordered a chicken fried rice & beef w/ string beans to go. Got home and was pleasantly surprised. Tasty, well prepared, and not too much sugar added (one of the problems with Chinese food in today's sugar laced food industry). Entire family loved it, the cat will be back!

Great tasting food! Good portions. Gotta get the bubble tea with your meal. I did it along side a dinner combination and it was more than enough food for myself.

Surprising good and the price was great. Will definitely order from here again. The restaurant was nice and clean too, if you want to eat in, but it's more of a take out place. They are open til 11pm. Not 10 like it's posted.

We are locals and have eaten at China Tea (eaten in the restaurant and have picked up food to take home) many times. China Tea is great. They do cook with fresh ingredients. Their egg rolls are not frozen. The "lady on the phone" is the owner and is one of the hardest working people I have ever met. Her husband is in the kitchen most of the time. There is love in all of their food. I was in the restaurant today and she told us how she could not sleep last night because of the bad Yelp! review (2 stars) she received. Wouldn't it be great if every restaurant owner was that concerned about what all of us think about the food they serve. This is a great place run by great, hard working, people.

Traveling and in the mood for Chinese. Decided to try this place. At first my husband and I were going to dine in. Then before we ordered daughter called and so we went the takeout route. Wonton soup was good. Egg rolls more like spring rolls and not to our liking, but we did eat them. General tso's chicken was good. Would go back, but would also not be opposed to trying somewhere else depending on location. I'd say, with family's input, 3 stars because they were very nice and made sure we had all condiments and utensils. Plus she gave us 3 to-go cups even though we didn't get drinks there.

First, The day we ate here, every table but two was filled with people of Asian descent. The food was very good, the restaurant was spotless and service was quick. You only reason they didn't get a five star review was that the soda was canned and not from a fountain. We had the crab rangoon, egg rolls, chicken lo mein, Hawaiian fried rice and Mongolian beef (we requested non-spicy). We will be back. Let me also say that I enjoyed the real silverware and plates. No plastic here. It's perfect for large groups because you also have a Pizza, Mexican and Subway restaurants in the same strip mall. Our bill totaled 34.89. Not bad for what our group ordered!!! (Two appetizers and three main courses and a couple cans of soda.).

Love it.... Best Chinese delivery in Orlando. The lady who takes your order over the phone speaks very fast and rushes you to order but it's because she is in fast mode and you better keep the order moving. Great food, reasonable cost, and fast delivery.

I just got here, ordering my food to go, the cashier was nice, they are conveniently located across from the convention center, and they are able to create whatever vegan dish I would like. I plan to be back before I leave! (Longer review with food later)

China Tea was very good! There were 5 in our party and everyone enjoyed their meal! I have ordered cashew chicken many times at other restaurants and they barely give you cashews, but it was different here! There were plenty!!! Loved it!

Clean, friendly service. Hot and sour soup is really good. I had the Indonesian sambal, vegetarian. It had good flavor not as spicey as I like but they brought me some chili paste to take it up a notch. Large portions, great prices.

This place is absolutely delicious! By far one of the best Chinese food places I have had...ever. The food is cooked fresh and everything is homemade. No pre-frozen dumplings or crab rangoons here. I saw the owner making them herself. The food is very well seasoned and did I mentioned delicious. Yelp certainly didn't let me down on this one. Were vacationing at the JW Marriott and it was nice to feed a family of four for under $40. We ordered the bourbon chicken, Kung pao chicken, chicken fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, wonton soup, pan fried dumplings. It was so good we're having it again for dinner. Enjoy!

Fantastic food, and very reasonable! Smaller dining room, 7 tables, but we were able to sit right away. There were probably 10 take out orders while we sat and ate!

I definitely have to say among a sea of Chinese restaurants this one stands out. The food is very well prepared and flavorful. The restaurant itself is clean with nice decor. The staff is very pleasant. Great experience.

We decided to try this place since it had great reviews. We were NOT disappointed! I had the pad thai and my husband had wings and sweet and sour chicken. Both were great! Customer service was great and we waited maybe around 10 mins for our food. Highly recommend this place!!!

After reading such glowing reviews about China Tea I had to give it a shot while I was in town. Unfortunately, it was only, "meh". I arrived to order dinner for take-out @ 6:45 PM, as their hours are posted open from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM. As I approached the entrance to the establishment I was greeted with a sign stating, "Will reopen @ 7:00 PM." Waiting 15 minutes wasn't a big deal, so I waited until a couple minutes after 7, then went back to the restaurant. Upon placing my order I was told it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. No worries, I can use this time to catch up on social media. Any way, my order was going to consist of a serving of summer rolls & chicken w/mixed veggies. Of note: summer rolls are no longer available, even though they are listed on current menus. Once I made it back to my hotel room, I eagerly dove into my meal. The chicken w/veggies was served with steamed white rice, on the side. I'm not a big rice eater, but I tried it, nonetheless. This rice had an odd, sweet flavor. Really sweet. So, I set that to the side to focus on the entree. All I can say is if you like bland, flavorless food, this dish is for you. I don't think they used any seasoning at all on this dish. Therefore, I must stand by my original assessment of "meh". Can't say I was impressed at all.

This is a great restaurant and good food. The food was flavorful and prepared with care. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Every time i visit the Orlando area (from South Florida) I check for a good lunch or dinner. But this is my 1st and only place when I hit town.

The food was fresh and prepared very well. Absolutely delicious and very clean. Will definitely go back again. Tucked away in a little strip mall, I do hope they succeed in the location. Mmmmm Mmmmmm good!! I don't know why it has 4 1/2 stars, in my opinion it should be 5 stars.

  • Laura D.

Veggie chicken had no seasoning or flavor, and didn't seem like it had been cooked very long.... Like it had been rushed. They were nice and fast, but for the price, I was expecting something a bit more.

I had this a week ago and I still can't stop thinking about it. My best meal when I was in Orlando. The dining room is simple but clean. This place is much more geared to carry out and delivery orders. Still, they have limited waitstaff if you plan to dine in. Our food took about 10 - 15 minutes to cook. This was good, it meant they were cooking it up fresh. The hot and sour soup was spot on. The bubble teas were disappointing because they used powder instead of fresh fruit. You can't find fresh fruit in Florida? The star was the General Tso's chicken. It was everything it should be. The chicken chunks were white and dark meat without a hint of gristle. The breading was extremely crunchy. The sauce was very thick and there was a LOT of it. I still wish were would have gone back a second time!

Good taste... Its really fresh... I needed to wait almost 20min to get for to go but really was worth. Its a small place, but really clean, you can see inside the kitchen where its making your food, that give me confidence with the restaurant. Great BBQ ribs and good fry rice.

Diamond in the rough! Food was very tasty and the service attentive. This is a very small place with limited seating. They also appear to do a healthy takeout business and delivery is available to a limited area.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
