Big Belly Brewery, or "Belly" as its known to the locals, is your typical bar but with a twist. It is situated on the second level of the Church St. Complex between Chillers, a dance club boasting an wall full of frozen drinks, and Latitudes, the tropical rooftop establishment with a view of the city. That being said what would attract one to the run of the mill dark wood enclaved bar in the middle? A lot. Let me start by saying this bar has a very welcoming vibe. The bartenders and cocktail waitresses are friendly, in fact more so than I've encountered anywhere in downtown Orlando, and the clientele is of the laid back guy/girl next door variety. Upon entering you'll find a long bar straight ahead. But there's more, a lot more. To the right you can find another bar and everyones favorite end of the night guilty pleasure, a photo booth. Who doesn't love to play "how many new friends can we squeeze behind the little curtain for pictures we won't remember taking"?!? Not only that, this bar has its own beer pong table equipped with a gum ball machine turned beer pong ball machine. This is an old standby among the college and recently graduated 20 somethings that frequent the place. At the other end of Big Belly after climbing 4 steps you will find another guilty pleasure of the more deviant sort, in the corner of the large dance floor to the left of the DJ booth is a tiny stage with a stripper pole in the middle. It is not uncommon to find female patrons attempting their hand at this aerobic activity after a few libations or on a dare. And if its sports you want, you're sure to find any game on one of the many flat screens throughout, a few of the tables even boast there own personal mini flat screen on the wall above, a sporting mans dream. Big Belly also subscribes to Direct TV Sunday Ticket, meaning you can catch that Packers/Vikings rilvary that won't be shown in Florida. They have standard bar food- mini corn dogs, thick cut french fries, and the like. But its good and hits the spot after a few beers. What Big Belly may be most known for are its theme nights including 2 for one drinks on Friday nights and the wildly popular nickel beer Wednesdays. Each Wednesday until 7:30 you will find the place packed with mingling 25 year olds, just off work, trying to re-live their college days with mugs of Miller Light for a nickel. How it works- pay $2 for a Big Belly cup at the door and then enjoy the smiling cocktail servers meandering around the bar pitcher in both hands ready to top off your mug whenever you get low, or sometimes when you've only had a few swigs. And no they don't really request a nickel from you. But be sure to tip! Big Belly is not to be missed. Its one spot that takes you away from the sometimes played out Florida scene and puts you smack dab in any town USA where young people unwind, friends laugh, and beer (lots of it) gets drank with pleasure.

Stopped in to Big Belly on a recent Saturday night. After not having so much fun at Latitude's upstairs, we decided to make our way down here. SO glad we decided on that, as this is much more my style of place. Didn't have any food, so can't comment on that- we just drank and danced. Lots of seats at the bar, a few tables toward the back, and a good sized dance floor. DJ was playing nothing but country, and had the place rocking. Most folks were line-dancing (or slow dancing when the slower songs came on). DJ was nice, took requests, and was grateful for the bottle of beer I bought him. Servers and bartenders were friendly and nice. Beers were cheap, and drinks were strong. Atmosphere is cool- kind of a hip country style. Definitely a great place to go to watch a game or hang out on a Saturday afternoon, but this was my place to go on Saturday nights. Don't really like clubs, techno, or being surrounded by college kids trying to get their freak on. I like cold beer, good music, and a relaxed atmosphere, and this place delivers. Lots of fun.

I came here because of a Speed Dating event. It is small and could stand to turn up the A.C, but the bartenders deliver good drinks for a reasonable price. So if you are walking downtown Orlando and want to briefly stop by for a drink, you won't be disappointed.

Great place to chill with friends...especially on Wednesday's for "nickel beers"..play some beer pong and flip cup. Be sure to save a few $$ theres a colored photo booth that's a must every time we end up there. *sidenote...One cover allows you to go upstairs to Latitides and also downstairs to chillers.

Last night, New Years Eve, was the first time I came. It was pretty packed but they had the best music in that cluster of bars. Much appreciated, not down with the techo. Nice laid back spot, I will return.

A-OK describes this bar pretty well. This is my favorite out of all the bars connected to this building. The stripper pole is probably why I even hang out at all. Big groups of drunk girls, mostly bachelorette parties will get shots at the little bar near the stripper pole and then take turns peer pressuring each other to get on the pole one by one and sometimes as a group. I have never had the food or sat at the main bar but I can see it as a decent place to watch a game if I was stuck downtown during the week on business, but I would not come down here just to watch sports. The beer pong table and loud music remind me of college house parties, but Big Belly Brewery is just okay in my book.

Nickel beer night can be something special. Also if you're into average looking hookers getting on their one stripper pole next to the small dance floor, then this is the place for you. Usually a great music selection and probably the best place out of Chillers and Latitudes to actually dance in. They have some beer pong room as well.

Big Belly Brewery is a bar/club that is sandwiched between two others and is located in the Church St. area. For the most part, I dig this place. The atmosphere is very chill and relaxed. There isn't typically too much dancing going on here. Instead, you'll find people sitting or standing while sipping their drinks and talking over the loud music as best they can. The good thing is that there is only one cover for all 3 clubs so you can pick and choose where you'd like to hang out. Big Belly is a good place to start or end your night out on the town. Their prices aren't too bad and they have good drink specials during week...espeically Friday nights. My only caution is that sometimes creepy people hangout here...but that's something you'll find just about anywhere downtown I suppose.

The middle level of a building that holds 3 connected bars and my favorite, Big Belly Brewery is highly enjoyable. They serve bar food, but most go just to enjoy their libations and fun music. It's more rustic, relaxed and casual compared to its neighbors above and below. It gets packed toward the end of the night, but is definitely worth checking out. They also charge just one cover at the door and you're able to inhabit all 3 levels if you'd like.
