Bar Louie is a typical "upscale" sports bar. They have a great happy hour with specials on food and drinks. They have outside seating with a bar out there as well as a large bar inside with table seating as well. My favorite appetizer there is the Bruscetta and I would order that again. The pot stickers are also good and the wings are nice. The main reason I pop into Bar Louie every once in awhile is to take advantage of the happy hour. I wouldn't go there otherwise...nothing special to pay regular prices on.

Looking for a cougar, a jaguar, or a good happy hour? Come here to Bar Louie. My friends and I stop in here for a good happy hour, but during any other times of the later part of the night, it is a playing field for all the older adults. They even change the music to cater to those. The music still isnt great on other nights, but its your usual top 40. Drinks are also overpriced when its not happy hour. Their food is ok, and Tuesdays they have burger specials!

Bar Louie just opened up at The Rialto on Sand Lake Road in Southwest Orlando. Essentially offering the affluent areas of Windermere, Dr. Phillips and Bay Hill another lounge to gravitate towards. I was quite surprised when I arrived here with some friends to celebrate New Year's Eve, mainly because I was expecting a dive bar. Bar Louie was clean and had friendly staff working. At the time, they had no cover charge and $3 drink specials on several different liquors and all beers on tap. The only low point of the night was the free champagne toast they offered to the clientele at midnight. It was the WORST champagne I've ever had to drink and I don't usually drink expensive champagne. And yes, I realize that giving free champagne means cheaper, but I thought they'd at least Korbel or something with a cheap name-brand. Other than the champagne debacle, I was satisfied with my overal experience and the general ambiance of Bar Louie.

The first time I've been to Bar Louie is for their $1 burgers on Tuesday nights. The burgers are not great but not bad, enough condiments on them then you won't realize how dry the pattie really is. They get you with the toppings because the $1 burger only come with basic lettuce and tomatoes and basic condiments like ketchup and mustard but any other toppings will cost anywhere from 50 cents to a quarter. I do have to say that the best drink I had there are their kokomojito, their twist on the mojito but with Cruzan pineapple rum. It's not a bad atmosphere if you just want to just chill with your friends, but beware because this place is known to be filled with cougars during the weekends.

Awesome happy hour. 1/2 off all appetizers. 1/2 off martinis, $4 wines, $2-$3 beers on tap (they have a lot). My favorite appetizers are the pretzels, wings, philly cheese steak sliders, bruschetta, and quesadillas. You get a lot of food for your money. Happy hour runs Monday-Friday 4-7. Bar Louie is also a great people watching place. You see a lot of Cougars, tourists, and everything in between. Each month they have a beer special that is $3 all day. I think April is Stella. They also have a food special of the month that runs outside of the happy hour time. At night they have a DJ and it turns into more of a bar/club.

3 stars because service was slow initially. Felt like they pretended we weren't there. Finally we got a friendly server named Josh who helped us order. We didn't order any food since we just came from Amura. Stuck with dirty martinis and mojitos. We sat outside which was nice. Inside was blaring loud and sort of annoying. Music didnt kick in til 830 or so. By then, you couldnt hear what anyone was saying. I would go again. I showed up in tshirt, jeans, and gazelles but i did see some girls dressed as pinup dolls so that was interesting...

Bar Louie is one of my favorite bars in Orlando! They have every kind of beer you could think of on top and are more than happy to create a drink for you if you're particular or like to try new drinks (like me). They're food is AMAZING, especially the veggie burger which you can have made any way you want. Always order the tater tots which are to die for!

This used to be the best place to come for some cheap eats on a Tuesday night for happy hour (all draft beer is $3 and they have $1 burgers with each topping costing $0.50 extra, lettuce is included), but it seems the $1 burgers have become more like McDonald's burgers. They must have switched their buns and meats to lower their expenses because they definitely aren't like they used to be. However, you are still paying $1 for them so I guess it's still a pretty good deal.

Went for brunch party of 4. We were the only people in the place. The service was terrible. I got the egg Benedict had to send it back , the English muffin was barely toasted. The whole dish was cold. They took it back while ny family was eating I ordered lox and bagle once again the bagel was undertoasted and it took forever to get it. I would never go there again!

Apparently on monday nights, you get mnf and hot girl on girl action. Not that there's anything wrong with that. The service was good. They do play the music so loud you can't talk to anyone once the Monday night game was over. I would return to this place again.

I love this place, the menu is unique, Happy Hour includes discounts on ALL tap beers, Hospitality Hour and sometimes Karaoke. However, the last two times I've been there the weather has been nice and we sat on the patio. The service out there is close to non-existent. We got there, checked in with the hostess and she told us to have a seat and someone would be out. We waited 5 minutes and finally my sister got up and found us menus, a couple minutes later a server came out. We ordered drinks and she said she would be back. She delivered our drinks and we told her we would do calamari for appetizer and I ordered a carafe of Sangria. Someone else delivered the calamari and about the time we were 3/4 the way done with the calamari my sister decided she wanted the buffalo sauce and bleu cheese. She got up and went inside, asked the bartender for the sauces and asked about my sangria. About 3 minutes later the bartender came out with our sauces and my sangria. Still hadnt seen the server back to check on our appetizer OR take our meal order. So once we were finished with the calamari my sister went back inside and asked if we could order. Server then came out took our order. We ordered a burger (asked for ketchup and mayo) and a wedge salad to share. She brought the ketchup. When the food came out, run by the other female that ran our calamari, which we now knew was going to be working the outside bar it didn't have the mayo so we had to ask her for it. The server was quick to bring the check when we were about halfway through our meal. SO, being that Bar Louie is one of my favorites I will continue to go there, only sit at the bar and if you want to go somewhere with outside seating, pick somewhere else.

Bar Louie has great potential to be a cooler night spot. I have been twice, once just for drinks with a friend, and this last time for food after an early Thursday night out. The food is average- American fare. Burgers, nachos, quesidillas and sandwiches. With a quick glance around you realize people are not there for the food. There is a DJ (this particular night placed Top 40 dance mix). There is a bar in the center of the restaurant and some high top tables. Then along the perimeter are circular shaped booths. Outside are couches and another bar. Seems like many people are there to just hang out and enjoy the scenery, drinks in hand, listening to the music. Yes, a glance too many in anyone's direction could get you approached. There were "agendas". Just an FYI if you aren't there for that. I do agree with other posters that I can definitely see how this is the place to go if you are of the singles meet & mingle crowd. But it was of mostly 25 and up. If you are there on a date, or with a group of friends its a fun place to talk, lounge outside if the weather is nice and enjoy music with out the total "nightclub" experience.

This is the central Orlando version of Red Star. It's really tasty - probably 10 times better than your average bar food. Looks like they have a place for bands to play. Great burger and drinks specials! The best thing? They let you sub any burger for a white turkey burger or chicken breast.

The drink menu looked AMAZING, however, we were still recovering from the night before and having a late lunch about 230pm so we decided to hydrate with plain old iced tea and H2O. The place was fairly empty, so we were seated immediately. Our server introduced herself pretty quickly, and did get our orders fairly quickly also, but the food took a long time considering there was virtually no one there. By the time we got our app, I thought it would have been time for the actual lunch that we ordered. Speaking of lunch it was hit or miss. I ordered the blazin' BLT, it was huge and good, but ordered the mac n cheese side. I literally took 2 bites and was done. It was beyond bland and not worth the caloric intake AT ALL! Its sad when you are thinking that even the publix deli mac n cheese is better. The philly burger was huge, but according to our friend not that great, however, his sweet potato fries were perfect!!!!! The spicy corn dog app was awesome. So I think I would go again to try the drinks...and with etoh everything tastes better. ;)

What can I say? Friends invited me to $1 hamburger night. All toppings are added cost. Cheese, tomato, mayo added cost. Fries $4.25, really? Sangria $10.50 and these are all during happy hour. I think Carrabbas is like $7.50 for 2 glasses of sangria and they're better. Service was slow and mistakes made. 3 stars might be pushing it. Can I do 2 1/2?

Bar Louie...you had me at $1 Burgers! We had to come check this out to see if it was for real and it really was....but there is a catch. You have to order a drink and the toppings are not free and it's only good on a Tuesday night! With that said, they burgers are delicious and satisfying, not a slider type, but a real full sized burger. Add what you'd like as toppings, from $.50-$.75 each. It adds up fast, so choose wisely! Enjoy the tots and fries too. You can order both and easily share with a group of 6.

happy hour great, servers are very nice. Margaritas, there 1.00 burger was cool , awesome convenient in Restaurant Road in dr Philips , I get my hair cut in iStudios Salon by Nancy and then happy Hour in Bar Louie.

Was told about this place by a coworker. Glad I took their advice! We came here on a Tuesday night which was $1 burger night. Yes $1 burger night! The only catch is that you have to buy a drink but my bill still came out to less than $9 total. You would think the burgers would be the size of sliders for that price, but they were full size burgers! The staff was very attentive and we never went without a full glass. The strawberry lemonade sangria and cran-apple singria were amazing! I'm definitely coming back here the next time I'm in Orlando!!!

I heard about this place from a friend I met while traveling, and I just had to check it out for myself. Of course I had to go on a Tuesday night, when the burgers are $1 and between 4 and 7pm when the drinks and appetizers are 1/2 off! Let me just say, it did not disappoint. It did help that I was starving, so really anything would've tasted great... but honestly, it was a great meal. I got the burger with bacon, swiss cheese, tomato, pickles, and BBQ sauce. The $1 burger come with the bun, burger, and lettuce. Everything extra ranges between $0.50 to $0.75--my burger ended up being $2.75 which is not bad at all. It was a nice sized serving as well, none of that "small sliders" for dainty fingers. You also have the option to choose beef, chicken, portabella, or turkey patties. Here's how they get cha: you have to purchase a drink too. I was feeling just a lemonade; however, that lemonade cost me $3! I wish it could've been something better, not just MinuteMaid from the fountain. Nonetheless, a full meal for about $5 is exactly how I like it. The atmosphere was fun, the bathrooms were dirty, and our waitress was busy so we waited for our ticket for about 10 minutes after we were through with our meal. BUT again, go. Try the burgers and enjoy a night out on the town. TIPS & TRICKS: * Get a side of tater tots to accompany your burger, it's a nice helping too, making it easy to share with friends. * Try the guacamole, it's really good and you save money because it's basically a sauce of it's own--you don't need to spend the extra $0.75 for mayo!

I like to stop by here for drinks and to meet people. I really miss when they used to have the karaoke their weekly. Third little stage inside for small open mics and for the DJ. It is a nice bar beautiful decor. The staff could be a little more attentive as it take some doing to get attention to get served. This is a great place to watch games or other sporting events as a normally have it showing on the televisions. The outdoor bar that they have is gorgeous. But the problem is that there's normally so many smokers that she could barely breathe in this area.

I am slowly becoming a regular at Bar Louie on Tuesdays. First, their happy hour is awesome (half price drinks and apps) and on Tuesdays they have $1 burgers and chicken sandwiches! The restaurant itself is usually very clean and the servers/bartenders are always very friendly. Overall, definitely a fun local place to check out.

Definitely not what it used to be back in the day (2009-2011). $1 burger night on Tuesdays draws a crowd but that's about it. High turn over rate on the bartenders is disappointing. I used to be a known regular but now I'm just a stranger every time I come in. They now have ladies night on Saturdays and it's getting a little better. We will have to see if they can pull through this low point. Better promoting would help as it's actually a really nice place.

This place is okay. Nice ambiance, with some fun indoor and outdoor patio spaces to chill out. Unless you hit their happy hour or daily specials, for me it's too pricey for what you get. My most recent visit was in conjunction with a Paint Nite that was being hosted there. Two drinks cost me $20, which was outside of happy hour. While $10 drinks aren't unheard of in Orlando, for what I got it was not worth it to me at all. The drinks were nothing special. The prior time I visited, we took advantage of their burger special they had that day (burgers were a buck, then you pay for toppings). The special was a good deal, but the service wasn't great that day. It took forever to get our food and I think we were forgotten about. When we got our food, one of the orders was wrong. A lot of people in this area do enjoy Bar Louie, so I might be back, but hopefully during happy hour only. Not worth it to me.

We went here because their patio is dog friendly and I had two of my canine fuzzies in tow. The poor bartender was swamped and told me her server wasn't in yet so if we didn't mind waiting, we were welcome to go hang out on the patio. She would send him out to us when he arrived. Cool! No problem. It was supposed to be 20 minutes but it took him a good bit longer than that. We weren't worried because we were busy chatting and catching up. When he finally showed up he was super nice. The drinks look interesting but without any prices I was reluctant to order. I had a stock yard burger that was cooked beyond the medium well I asked for, but regardless, it was still pretty good. I also asked for crispy tater tots and they arrived as requested (but Oblivion Taproom has waaay better tots). I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, particularly after reading the other reviews about the vibe. Cougar Town? I'll pass. We went on a late afternoon Sunday which was perfect. There was hardly anyone around so the dogs could roam a bit (on leash of course) and the food was pretty good.

Come here on a late Tuesday night with friends after dinner. Other than the priciness of drinks (9-10$ per cocktail or shot), it is a great spot to hang out! The thing I wish I had researched was their dollar burgers after 5p on Tuesdays. Base burger is meat and lettuce with ketchup and mustard at your table. They can nickel and dime you if you want add ons, but if you just want something to tame the hangry monster, they are a great size! The atmosphere is super chill, and their DJ was playing a mix of modern and 90s classics, with a bit of 80s thrown in for good measure. He knew his audience for sure! I definitely am going to visit again, but I need to save up some money bc this place set me back...

I don't understand what the problem is with the service here, but it is just terrible. The place has everything that would make it a place to go: decent decor, friendly crowd, good music, decent food with decent prices. But the service just doesn't make sense. It takes so long to get a drink and food. Almost an hour to get a BudLight draft on a not so crowded night. This has happened multiple times that I've been here. I just don't know who's making the hiring decisions or operating procedures, but something's got to change.

Service is pretty laid back unless you've got a seat at the bar. Portions are pretty good, but the staff seems a bit uneducated on their menu. When asking about how the chef prepared the food they were unable to answer my question confidently. It was my second time going to Bar Louie and I guess I was expecting my service to be better the second time around but sadly I was let down. Don't get me wrong the food is yummy but service is definitely important.

Don't go here if you are hungry or thirsty....service is terrible even when it isn't busy. Food takes forever to be prepared and I once waited 20 minutes without being greeted by a server before leaving to go to ocean prime. It is sad because it is a great atmosphere but the service has just been terrible on several occasions. It is a happy hour spot of many of my colleagues but I won't waste my time going anymore

This place has constantly declined in service since it opened. Been to several Bar Louie's and this is by far the overall worst. Pros: Plenty of TV's for sports. Great ambiance. Safe environment. Great deals. Good music on music nights. Great location. Cons: Food is horrible. Service is slow and horrible. Drink prices are high when purchasing at regular price. For a sports bar, I would rather drive 3 minutes down the street to Miller's Field. If I wanted to go somewhere dancing for the night, I MIGHT stop by here. I will never come here for the food again.

The martinis are awesome! Definitely go for happy hour or it can be pricey. Be prepared for them to run out of popular beers such as bud lite.

Not a fan. Came in for lunch because I work close by and sat at the bar for a good 10 minutes before anyone even noticed I was there. The place was nearly empty and yet the service was terrible. I opted for the mac and cheese with jalapeños hoping for something relatively spicy. What I got was basically Velveeta with pickled jalapeños thrown on top, not even mixed in, and it didn't seem baked at all. Very disappointing. Try Avenue gastropub downtown for some actually tasty spicy mac and cheese. I won't be back.

I love their martinis here! My fav is the Tickled Pink, sweet and well the name says it all--pink! The Diva is sweet and fruity, also very tasty. Order the tater tots and bruschetta to munch on. I always get the tots extra crispy Yummm.

Ridiculous. Ordered a woodford reserve neat, got a half of a shot glass for $10.50. (Neat is two fingers in a drinking glass) Then waited on a dinner salad, $9.50 wedge salad which came as 1/4 of an iceberg head, smallest salad I've ever seen. The most expensive thing on the salad was bacon bits, would half a head kill you? Congratulations making a 95% profit margin on me during happy hour because it will be the last time. It was hard to complain, clueless bartender was only on the side of the bar facing the door twice.

When I lived in Denver, my friends & I would always hit up Bar Louie for happy hour and have a great time. So, I went to happy hour at this one, and it was good. I went at 4:30pm on a Monday, and there was only one other table with people. The waitress was super nice, and I love the fact that they have soooo many beers on tap. The food was pretty good also.

Drinks are a bit overpriced. If I'm gonna drop over $100 in a night I'm gonna need to at least be tipsy! Food was alright though. Kinda small town bar feeling but cool vibe. If I come here again I'll bring a bottle and pre game or feeling good before I head into the bar cause ain't nobody got time for a $100 tab. Only reason I'll go back is if friends want to go, otherwise, ain't worth it...

I was pleasantly surprised about this place. My roommate uses this place as one of her go-to first date places. But on this occasion, she opted to use it as her after birthday drinks spots. It was a Friday evening around 8 or so when we showed up. It the place was quiet. We grabbed a hightop in the far side. I just got drinks. I think next time I'll try for some food. I felt this place was really clean. I think that is what I liked about this place the most. It feels clean. The decorations, the bathrooms. It was clean. I also never realized this was a chain until I saw one in Boston the other day.

Worst service I've ever had. It's seat yourself, but what kind of place leaves a table sitting there for 30 minutes, and still doesn't do anything?
(1)
Chris N.
Only go if you like waiting forever and two minutes to order and cash out. The bartender I had was rude and we barely saw her and it wasnt even like it was busy.... After giving her a 10% tip for her crappy service, I find out the next day she gave herself an extra $10 tip. I'm afraid of wasting my time and getting robbed in the process so I won't be coming back.

VIsiting Fl, came across this place and had to come back! Bartenders are nice, strong martinis. REally good food given its a bar! Sat outside, got smoked out- minus a star. Sat inside on a hi top table, great service again. and..... H A P P Y H O U R !! Oh yea! will be back- such a lush!

Great food! $1 Burgers on Tuesdays but that doesn't include toppings. 1/2 off wines, LOTS of draft beers, the signature martinis and some appetizers. Great service. Very nice atmosphere, a little smokey from the kitchen purposefully. I'll come back now and then.

Service took forever! I sat there at least 10 minutes without even a 'hello'. My friends food came out 20 minutes after mine and we ordered together! My nachos were completely bare. I paid $11 for a plate of chips with barely anything on them. My coke was extremely watered down and the floors were so greasy, I almost fell about 3 times. Not going back. Not worth my time or money.

This place is great. They have been understaffed for years and the service is slow at best. You can wait 29 minutes for a drink. If they step it up it could easily be a 4.5 stop. Good food and decent TV game.

I only come for their epic happy hours! One dollar burgers and half-off on drinks? Yes please! You would think that these one dollar burgers would be sub-par and not at all tasty, oh, but you're wrong. So wrong. They're delicious. And their fries are even better. It's such a great deal, I almost feel like I'm robbing them. Especially when their half-off drinks are ridiculously massive - seriously, I get drunk off of one Blue Moon because their glasses are so large. I've never eaten here on a regular night and had an actual dinner, so I can't give an insight on that side of Bar Louie, but definitely check out their happy hour specials! You won't regret it! xx MJ

Walked in with a friend at around 530 and 2 bartenders working did not even greet us. We sat for 5 min and another lady walked in and was greeted quickly. We got up and left and went to Millersfield. Go there instead!

I was in the area and decided to pop my head in. What a mistake!!! I watched as they put 40 bottles in front of a 80 year old lady and left her with no bar. She complained and no one did anything, so I moved them. There was a table they could have used 10 feet away resting against a wall, but the girl decided to use the bar where customers were sitting, then walked away when she was half way done. I go to use the bathroom and notice the floor is slippery, I tell the same bartender from my last review. She tell's me, "what do you want me to do, retile the floor." I'm not making this up!!! I replied "no, I want you to clean the fing floor and continued to walk toward the bathroom. What is there to say? Good happy hour prices does not make up for this kind of behavior.

I visited bar Louie in sat night it seemed like a nice place. We were not greeted when we walked in and ended up finding our own table after we sat a gentleman came up and helped us! This place had like 10 other people in it I was very surprised for a Saturday night! It was a ok place 1 thing is the prices for the food is a bit expensive when the food was ok it was nothing to really talk about! I ordered the nachos they were ok if lettuce and tomatoes would have came on it and the chicken was dry! My husband ordered the wings which were also ok I have had better! Also u don't see your server very much if u eat here probably every 25 min otherwise there MIA and nobody else helps u !

A couple of months ago some friends suggested this place when we were in the area. The food was OK and so was the ambiance but we had expected it to be way better. The service left a lot to be desired. Our waiter was very nice but we always had a hard time finding him. I can see how it has potential to be a great hangout though. It is very spacious and modern in decor. It has a bar in the middle and they had karaoke the night we went. I think they have live music on other nights. Maybe we just went on the wrong night? The drinks were strong but they took a long time to get to us. We had a mojito, lemon drop and honey dew martini. We then shared the taters, a flatbread (forgot which one) and the meatballs al forno. The meatballs were good but everything else was really heavy despite sharing it amongst 5 people. I could not take too many bites. The pretzel sticks were probably my favorite with the honey mustard sauce. A little later that night, all of us were different degrees of nauseous. I had it the worst. It took me all of the next day to recover from it. I just had to recover quickly because we were there to celebrate my girlfriend's big milestone birthday! No time for being sick. Bed rest, ginger ale, soda crackers and all that jazz. Some of the other girls had skipped the meatballs and the others had skipped the flatbread. Not everyone drank. The only thing we ALL tasted were the taters. It must have been that. Not sure what happened there. Needless to say, I will skip this place the next time I am in Orlando. I wanted to give it a chance but it's a definite no-go for me.

This is an excellent example when a 2.5 star rating. Bar Louie as might be expected, suffers from a bit of multiple personality disorder. This is not, however a bad thing. To their credit, they keep changing their theme and so the crowd can be quite diverse depending on the night of the week. The problem lies when the staff starts believing their own crap and think they are cooler than the crowd. Make no mistake, this crowd is not cool, just a bit misguided and full of themselves. Bad combination, shallow crowd, shallow staff, hard to overcome, perhaps a few well mixed drinks and some finger food? Not quite. Keep moving, nothing to see here.

Ordered turkey burger, over cooked and dry... It appeared to have been cooked earlier and nuked. Service is slow and more interested in talking to other staff members than working..

Came here with several co-workers on a Sunday evening. It was dead inside, with 2 bartenders for the less than 20 guests. Regardless of the complete lack of customers, it still took a long time to get any kind of bar service. We had to wait for someone to appear before we could even order drinks, then they would disappear to make our drinks. With such a large bar, you would think the drinks would be made in front of you. There were 12 of us in the group, but they didn't think to ask for a card to put our tabs on. At the end of the night, it was a process trying to get our tabs paid. One of the girls in our group had to ask for her tab 4 TIMES! That's absurd when there were only 5 people besides us there at this point, with 2 bartenders. I did enjoy my berry mojito, I would recommend trying that, but I don't recommend you come here in the first place.

Passable food. Nothing special or amazing. Service is very consistently lousy. I have been ignored by bartenders, received ridiculous slow service, watched bartenders be rude to customer's faces (I guess they think it makes them likeable). I purposely time visits there to avoid crowds and even when its dead the service is sub-par. (Except in one or two instances). Despite poor FOH staff, their kitchen does at least send out food fast and hot...whether or not the food runners know where to take it is another question. If I go it is usually on $1 burger night. Unless there is a special or promotion such as a text message discount or happy hour, the food is not worth what they charge for it. Atmosphere tends to be VERY loud. For a restaurant, a dj was set up and blowing out the entire place, when it wasn't event that busy. Said something to the waitress who didn't bother to even get a manager. No one was dancing and it's not a night club. I get a little something on a busy night, especially if they closed their kitchen, but this was over the top.

Kristie is simply the WORST bartender ever. I cringe every time she walks up and pretends to give a damn. She is lackadaisical on a good day. Seriously, how many complaints does it take to cut your losses?

Good atmosphere, but the worst gin martini I have ever had. We hit happy hour and the gin tasted like gin-flavored water. Shameful thing to do to Bombay Saphire.

Kinda like a sports bar but fun club vibe on Saturdays. Fun, personable bartenders that make you want to leave a generous tip with strong, reasonably priced drinks. The DJ was cool, playing a good mix of contemporary and old school. The patrons were an interesting mix of old school and young, good place to people watch. Lots of indoor and outdoor space for groups of people celebrating special events.

Love this place!!! Great ladies night on Saturday. If they are not busy it sometimes is hard to get a server to greet you. Especially when they are all in conversation together. Also don't ask the server blends in wine. They won't even find out.

This place was very disappointing. I've only been one time and honestly I'll never choose to go again. I went during happy hour. Met a friend of mine. We were literally the only people in the bar and it was near impossible to get any service!! I don't know if they were too busy prepping for a dinner rush or what. By the time we got our drinks and apps, the apps were eh, so-so. Nothing to phone home about. The server was friendly enough but definitely not in any hurry to please. I've heard this place is great at night, but unfortunately I may never find out.

I've long regarded Bar Louie's Chop Chop salad as the best salad in Evanston, IL, but it never had occurred to me to try the Bar Louie here in Orlando. Well, it's a pretty darn good salad here, too. Since I think of the place as a sports/live music bar, this is somehow surprising. Took the crew from work here, and everyone loved it, especially the pretzel appetizer (which is more like pretzel bread than sticks) with three delicious dips. The place is pretty empty at lunch time, so a far different ambience than when the band comes on at 9:30, I'm sure.

This is a review on their Happy Hour! I went to the Bar Louie Happy Hour a couple of months ago and I liked it. 4 stars. All the apps were half off and the drink specials were good too. I returned for their Happy Hour last week and only 4 app items were on special and they were all the fried garbage I try to avoid. I won't be back for this happy hour. Too many better options around.

I'm liking this place. A lot. They have 2 happy hours, oh yeah. Karaoke and live bands as a bonus. Talk about having a good time in Orlando! Their servers are super nice and they have such a nice selection of beers, and as it so happens the weather is always perfect to sit outside. Last time I went in they were giving away free Goose Island beers, and being from Chicago I was pumped up. I think my friends and I have had all their appetizers already, and a few wines, man I love the Malbeq! Definitely try their brie sandwich and the buffalo boneless wings, oh my!

Food is a bit above you standard bar food. Hospitality special every night gives you 40% off which is awesome. The only negative thing is the service. Some nights when you come in after 10, you might be sitting at the bar for 15-20 minutes before someone services you.

While in town for business, I was intending to have dinner at the sushi spot next door but it was way crowded so I decided to try out Bar Louie since it looked like they had quite a few open tables. I was seated at one of the highboys by the bar and got a good view of the resto. The bar was quite busy but then realized, everyone was partaking in liquid therapy and barely anyone was eating, which raised a red flag for me but, I was starving and needed to have dinner. I wanted try their Tater Tots but figured I can always eat Tots at Sonic. So I opted for the Fried Calamari - Traditional style (they had a Buffalo version) and had their Baked Mac & Cheese and Fried Chicken. First off, I have no clue why it took so long for the food to come out, it took about 10-15 before the Calamari came out then another 10-15 after I was done picking at the Calamari for the M&C. The Fried Calamari was disappointing; definitely not freshly breaded in fact, I'm confident that it was the frozen stuff because while I was picking at it, there was just one huge clump of Calamari I could not for the life of me get to separate. The Baked Mac & Cheese and Fried Chicken was a big joke. First off, the M&C wasn't baked at all. How could I tell? The top of it wasn't crusty or even dry. Pretty much they just boiled the pasta, added the cheese sauce and threw in chunks of Fried Chicken in it and voila, that's what I got. I forced myself so hard to eat it but couldn't. The M&C had zero flavor whatsoever. It was a horrible dish. My server was friendly but was hard to locate for refills or to get the bill. Bottom line, if you're looking to get some liquid therapy, then sure, but in terms of food...seriously skip it.

After giving this Bar Louie several chances, Im still convinced that this place sucks. The food has been consistently horrible and the drinks are way over priced. Im forced to go to this place out of sheer convenience because i happen to work in that same building. You would think with amount of businesses in the area they would have the decency to have a lunch menu. Not impressed... I will deal with the sand lake traffic and go across the street to roccos tacos.

Not a big fan. But I gotta give it to them. They know how to bring people in. I go there with my girl when in Orlando cause she lives near by. We usually go to a place called the Vines and then we usually end up here cause we want to dance. The drinks are stiff, and usually Fk us up. so we called this place "the joint that hits us every time" or "the last drink joint" cause literally will get you. The music is cool. It is a meet market. A bunch of 20-30 somethings girls and a bunch of older guys trying to hook up and they hope the chick saw them pull up on their bentley. It's that kind of joint. We like it, we people watch, and we 9 times out of 10 get fkd up... Will see you soon.

By far some of the worst bartenders I've seen in my 10 years in Orlando. If you want to hire a bunch of know nothing, slow moving, ditsy bartenders to sling drinks, go for it, just don't expect anyone to come in more then once. Not worth the drive or the time.

Ahhhh Bar Louie...I want to like you, I like your big brother Red Star Tavern, your food is good, but I can't get over the service. I've been here twice and the service has been sub-par both times. It's just taken forever to get out of here. It hasn't even been crowded both times I've gone. Just the server tends to disappear. If the server was decent, I would spend twice as much. I'll be there for over an hour and only manage to order two drinks and I definitely don't sip my beer. Oh well... The food is definitely pretty good. The burgers and sandwiches are definitely very creative and quite tasty. The burgers themselves are alright but here, it's the toppings that make the overall sandwich. I like the fact that you can sub a chicken breast or even a turkey patty for the regular beef patty. Only time I may come again would be on a Thursday night. Thursday: 1/2 apps, $3 drafts (all), ALL DAY!

Went for happy hour. The specials were great, and so was the buffalo chicken flat bread we ordered. Nice atmosphere and really liked the outside bar area. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the bartender wasn't very helpful when asking for wine suggestions.

I like their happy hours, nice place to go after work! Half off cocktail and appetizer on mondays! Way to give my monday a boost :) Also don't forget about the $1 Burgers on Tuesdays!! Your regular size burgers for only $1! Would go back again for more happy hours!!

Good meeting spot for a casual get-together with friends and big groups. Not recommended for dates. Friendly bartenders and waiters. Decent meal and drink options. Typical bar that's clean and roomy. Live music on weekends.

I'm not too sure about other reviewers claiming Bar Louie as a Cougar bar because by definition a cougar is a well-off older woman going after a younger, usually much younger, man. This Friday night the bar consisted of about 70% women with the average age being late 20s to early 30s and men of about the same age. There were a handful of younger 20-somethings and a bigger handful of 40-somethings. If I were a single guy I would be here because the women that were here were very well put together either by hard work, natural selection or, more predominantly, surgical enhancement. But I was there with my hubby so we grabbed a high top table by the door. It was fun to people watch! We didn't eat but had some drinks. I had the S'more Cosmo which was delish but somewhat costly at $10. The rim was coated with chocolate syrup and graham crackers! Yumm! The dance floor opened up and they had a good mix of top 40 and dance music. The place reminded me of something between a Dexter's and Blue Martini. There was a great crowd but next time I would come back for what I hear are great happy hour specials!

Stopped in for lunch today. Restaurant was quiet so we could choose a booth of our choice. The menu is standard bar fare. We started with an average spinach dip but it was enjoyable despite it's mediocrity. My companion ordered a burger which he described as good, even though he had asked for a bacon burger and the kitchen neglected to provide bacon. His fries were very good, as I can attest. I had a roasted vegetable flat bread and thought it surprisingly good. Lots of vegetables with a flavorful balsamic glaze and mozzarella. I would order it again. Bar Louie caters to a younger crowd at night but for a quiet Saturdy lunch, it was a relaxing spit.

Gotta love the $1 burger Tuesdays! This place is nice, hip atmosphere, cool staff and quick service. Oh and did I mention the $1 burgers? And don't let the price fool you, these burgerS are actually pretty darn good! Totally recommend this place.

Came back to Bar Louie for a happy hour visit. The atmosphere is laid back and kinda sport barish. The bartender was very helpful and the drinks were great. The bar louie cosmo was delicious--love the white cranberry juice & sugar cane blend. The bloody mary was spicy and tasty. Both only $5! 1/2 off apps were a great deal! The calamari was pretty good, the pot stickers were yummy, and the schezwan wings were delicious! 2 drinks + 3 apps for $25 before tip= Great deal! Over all a good happy hour experience! I will be back for sure!

Had the Louie Burger. It was loaded with cheese and hot peppers, very good. I went on a Sunday so there was a sports crowd in the place. The service was just okay, but the food was pretty good.

I went here around 930PM on a Friday night for drinks and the place was pretty busy- only thing was that it was full of an older (45+) crowd. I was expecting the place to be a bit more upscale but it reminded me of a college bar with old people. There was a live band that day but I did not like the alternative music they were playing.

Side Note (i had this in my bookmarks titled: Cougar Town) I experienced Bar Louie back in July with my then Boyfriend. He SWORE this place was fun and so of course I trusted him and we went on a Thursday night. Since the area (on that section of the street) not much else is in the complex. The parking lot was packed and it looked like a poppin' place! I was excited, PLUS they had cider on tap...HECK YEAH! The decor was nice inside, it seemed spacious but we decided to sit outside since it was nice out. The outside bar was a HUGE overlook from the designers. They posted the main doors out to the patio right in front of the front center of the bar...duh! So basically no one can stand/sit there without getting hit by the door 9238 times in 5 min. Anyway, we sat on the couches and the smoking outside was overwhelming. So, unless you like to sit on top of a chimney...don't sit outside when it is overwhelmingly busy. Also, the crowd....85% women, and that is ok, however, they were ALL on the prowl. We had about 9 of them join us at the couches and none of them even said hello and just continued to rate each guy there. It was terrible, but made for a good laugh. I most likely will try this place one more time but not when I see the cougars out...i did walk away with a new joke... What do you call a cougar's watering hole? BAR LOUIE!!!!!!!!!!!! =)

Good food, HORRIBLE service. On my sixth visit: After being told that food is served until 2AM, I show up about 8 minutes before 1:30. One other person was sitting at the bar, while five employees were socializing behind it. By the time someone meanders over to me, I am told that they stop taking food orders at 1:30. The time? 1:30 on the dot. On my fifth visit the bar was busy, so I chose to sit outside. It took just over two hours to serve 3 consecutive drinks (with plenty of empty time in between) and two orders of food. It took an additional 35 minutes to get a check (server was nowhere to be seen until I approached one of the door girls to see a manager). On my fourth visit I was served a RAW (cannot emphasize this enough, it was RAW) beef burger. Drink orders took forever. My first three visits were mediocre to average. I have never worked in the food industry though I realize that when poor service is so consistent and widespread you usually need to look at management. I will not return to this establishment, nor will I ever recommend it to someone (unless they are trying to quit drinking as it would seem impossible to get drunk here). In the area I would rather visit TGI Fridays, Orlando Ale House, or even McDonald's.

Not as impressed as I thought I would be. Nice decor, it is a new building yet very plain and loud. Food is decent bar food, nothing special. Drinks? Well its a bar and drinks are drinks. Average to a tad bit over priced unless your there for happy hour. Front door girls are kindof pointless, you assume they are there to get you a table, then they tell you sit whereever you want, then they come over to tell you the unmarked in any way table you chooose is reserved. Then when you assume they can clarify you to a table that isnt reserved, they seemed confused. Wait Staff was not attentive, when waitress did come by, she was annoyed to do much of anything. Later it became more of a nightclub atmosphere which was kindof a boring restaurant turned bar, only difference was the music got louder and a few tables were moved. The only thing I did enjoy was the band, Leonard Brothers Band, they were very good but Bar Louie itself, not so much

Gross. That's what comes to mind when I think of Bar Louie on Sand Lake. I went for dollar burger night a few weeks ago with a friend, and we met up with a few other guys who had already sat down. The waitress hung out talking to the guys for about five minutes before even bothering to take my drink order, which sure, was a Diet Coke but still. About twenty minutes later, the waitress had come back to talk to the guys at our table, swap stories about tattoos and piercings-I got a lovely shot of her ass while she showed them off, as well as talk about her crazy ex boyfriend, and each time she seemed to be oblivious to the fact that there was neither a soda in her hand nor in front of me. We ordered dollar burgers and I've been to other bars that have done the same or similar promotions so I was expecting to have to pay for extra toppings so that didn't phase me. My friend and I each ordered burgers and decided to split an order of fries. The food took forever! I literally drank two additional diet cokes by the time they showed up and lets just say that length of time it took for them to show up was not much better than before. When our food showed up, the brought us an extra basket of fries. It wasn't brought by our waitress but by a food runner and when we pointed it out, they said, "oh don't worry, it's our mistake so don't worry about it- its not like I can take it back". So we do what anyone else would do, we eat it. Food was average, I wasn't expecting anything amazing, it tasted like $4 worth of food- which in fact it was. My annoyance grew as our waitress (who apparently is "friends" with the guys we were there with- i.e. she tries to feed them drinks so they'll stick around till her shift ends so she can bum a ride home) pulled up a chair DURING her shift and sat with us eating food. I guess her manager even noticed because she was pulled aside by a staff member and disappeared for awhile. Unfortunately for us, that meant it took about 30 minutes to get our check. Best part? When we get our check, the fries are on it. When she finally comes around, she says "Oh, thats a mistake, but since you ate them I have to charge you for them". WTF? While we were looking for her, the other staff we tried to flag down looked at us like we had just kicked their dog or something. Ridiculous. Apparently Bar Louie doesn't care about the quality of their staff member as long as they think they'll attract young men who'll spend money in the bar. I worked as a server in an independently owned microbrewery and we had to work hard for our tips and keep our customers. I guess Bar Louie has the luxury of not worrying about repeat customers due to the high tourist crowd. There really is no excuse for the piss poor quality of their wait staff, and I'd rather take the money that I bust my ass for somewhere else and tip a server who understands, and perhaps is able to even spell "Customer Service".

I must say, this place really pissed me off...I was considering checking in and using some expletives, but then I realized that's not very yelp-like.I went out last night in a good mood, ready to celebrate Chinese New Year with some friends. There were a decent amount of cars in the parking lot when we pulled in at about 11:15pm. Some guys were outside hanging out, and there seemed to be a group of people on the patio area facing the parking lot. We walked inside and there were lots of open tables and a few spaces at the bar. We figured its only 11:15ish so the crowd for the night hasn't arrived. Since there were three of us, we walked around the bar looking for three consecutive stools. We finally found some and sat down waiting for service. Now there were 3 bartenders it seemed on duty and 1 barback. 1 bartender in particular was standing right near to us next to the register while the other 2 were on the other side of the bar area. She fiddled on the register and then wiped down the counter with her back to us. She saw we were sitting there and I raised my hand to maybe get her attention. She ignored it and kept doing what she was doing. By this time about 5 minutes go by and im thinking do I have to beg you to receive some service? She goes back to the register and I proceed to wave my hands above my ahead at her and say "HELLLOOO???" and she makes eye contact with me and continues doing what she is doing which makes me LIVID. My buddies are shaking their heads and chuckling. I pull out my timer and tell em, lets see how long it takes to flag down a bartender in this NOT BUSY bar. At that moment a guy comes in and grabs a seat across from us at the other side of the bar. That same bartender walks over to him after a moment, takes his order and hands him a drink. Shortly after I say to a different bartender walking by "EXCUSE ME, can we get some service please?" She smiles and asks how she can help us. I ask her WHY on earth have we been sitting here twiddling our thumbs for the past 10 minutes and that guy sits down and gets served by that same twit that wouldn't even acknowledge the 3 of us sitting there with nothing in front of us. She said "Oh, it must have been just an honest mistake". I know what an honest mistake looks like, but I didn't press her. We went ahead and placed our orders for a drink and then took off to world of beer where service is not only 10x better/friendlier, but it had more business as well. If you read most of my other reviews I am not overly critical when it comes to a business. But being ignored in an empty bar by a pretentious little hussy has me not planning on going back there anytime soon. +4 for Ambiance -10 for Service - 15 for managing to piss me off. The lack of hospitality was really telling last night. Shame on you. /end rant

I recently stopped by to check this place out for the first time during their Tuesday $1 Burger Special.. The restaurant is reminicent of a slightly more upscale version of Ale House but still casual and easy-going enough to pass with a basic polo and jeans, I would assume that dress code on the weekends may be slightly less casual.. Location is convenient and place still looks brand new.. And like others have said, the crowd here is a unique mix.. Theres both indoor and outdoor seating areas, if you sit outside beware of heavy smoking.. We decided to sit indoors, after only about a 10 min wait we were seated towards the back in a semi-circular booth next to the servers entrance, it was very tight for our party of five with little leg room, not the best table in the house but we managed.. The music is okay, a tad bit loud (hard to hear others at your table) mix of old rock and new rock with alot of covers instead of originals, not really a fan in this department.. Now for the big Burger Special that everyone raves about, I honestly cant say I was very impressed, while the price itself may be impressive dont be fooled, the burger quality was extremely mediocre and the toppings (cheese, tomato, onions, etc) quickly bring the price up to $5+ not to to mention the fact that the purchase of a drink is required (not mentioned in the advertisment).. Just add a little alcohol here and an appetizer there and before you know it your back to the typical $$ tab.. Overall service and ambiance was good but experience and food mediocre, I may have to come back for a second chance on a weekend to see if things a different..

Came here on a recent Saturday night to hang out with some friends as I was visiting from out of town. It's really a restaurant and bar. I got there around 9PM and there was a DJ playing top 40 dance music-he was pretty good. His mixes brought people to the dance floor. There were a few people still eating at tables but for the most part tables were already moved and people were dancing. As it got later, it became packed-just like the club. People were dancing inside, the outside patio was full and everyone seemed to be having a good time. My drink was perfect but it's hard to get wrong-vodka club soda lime. The crowd was mixed-black, white, old, young, tall, short, etc. If you're a young woman looking for an older man-come here and he will find you! If your're an older woman looking for a young man come here and you can snatch him up! If you just want to dance without the full on club scene then come here and dance! I didn't have food and all the TVs were showing some type of sporting event. Have fun Orlando!

I'm giving Bar Louie 3 stars solely on the merit of the Loaded Tater Tots. I eat these bad boys once per year... Deep fried tater tots w/bacon, onions, jalapenos, cheese sauce and melted shredded cheese, all for around 9 bucks. Utter and total decadent deliciousness. DJ was supposed to start "sometime between 9:30 and 10", but didn't actually take the stage until 10:30. EPIC FAIL... I think this guy failed his DJ test, as the songs were not mixed into each other. It was like a hard roller coaster stop every time a song ended. Oh.. and his song selection BLEW! DJ- If the crowd looks at you and then everyone leaves the dance floor, perhaps you need to step it up!!! 4 drinks (moderate pour) & tater tots set me back just under $50 bucks. Not my favorite place to party, but not bad for once a year either...

We were here over Labor Day weekend with a group of nine. The food is a nice surprise as I was expecting more pub-grub, but it was actually very good. The service (and management) were spectacular. The one large damper on our night out celebrating a friend's birthday was the horrific band that was playing. My friend called twice to see what type of band would be playing for the night and both time the management said that it would be a "top 40 cover band". That was very much NOT the case. First, it was so loud you could hardly hear yourself think, never mind eat. If you're still serving dinner while the band is playing, you shouldn't have to scream to the person across from you in order to carry on a conversation. On top of that, you couldn't even hear the singer very well because the band was so insanely loud. To top it all off, there was nothing "top 40" about this band. There were some more mainstream tunes, but it was mostly harder rock, which I have NO problem with if I am at a rock concert and not out having dinner with friends. We had planned on staying all night, but left immediately after dinner. The reason the rating isn't lower is because of how amazing our server was and the management was receptive to our complaints about the band. We were not the only ones in the restaurant that had those sentiments about the band. As I said before, the food was good. Nothing incredibly special but something for everyone and I would certainly return for food (but not late enough for the band!)

Overall a decent place, but $$$ warning!! Before you order a specialty drink without a listed price, ASK ABOUT THE PRICE! My wife had two drinks (Honeydew: Coconut Rum and pineapple juice-6 OZ) for $10 each and someone else got ripped for $18 on his drink (Amareto Dis saranaro)!! Not cool, man. Not cool.

We go to Bar Louie on Monday nights to play trivia. Trivia starts at 7:30pm and it's usually a decent crowd. The prizes include 1st place $75 bar tab, 2nd place $50 and 3rd place is $25. It usually lasts 2 hours and the questions can be tough, but its definitely fun. The service is usually decent, although sometimes it seems you can't ever find a server when you need one. The food can be a little overpriced and the monthly special is usually a good choice. I've tried the cheeseburger sliders(delicious), chicken gumbo(spicy, but very good), BBQ pork sandwich(decent, but quality varied over the 2 times I've had it) and the tator tots are always cooked to perfection. The drink specials for happy hour are always the best, as it can be a little pricey otherwise. There are plenty of TVs throughout to watch whatever sporting event you like as well. The biggest complaint I have is that its ALWAYS freezing inside. When asked about turning the fans down a notch we were told no can do.

Good food for a bar and fun atmosphere. I Like to go here with my girl when we want to do something but dont want to go down town and "drink". They have some good specials during the week and its usually not too crowded until Thursday. They have a lot of big TVs but last time I asked the manager to put on MMA (Non Pay Per View) he said he couldn't because it was "too violent". Well he is an a$$ clown, not only have I watched MMA there many times but they had boxing on. It was also 10pm. Grrr. p.s. beware of the Cougars, they dont eat much and get hungry after midnight.

Chill on some nights - happening on weekends. I have been here during the week when it is more chill, and I might like that better. During the week take a seat at the bar, kick back with friends, and relax. Bartenders are really nice, drinks are a bit expensive if you are not having beers. Best time to go is on a Sunday for brunch prices or happy hour prices. On weekends, such as a Friday night, I went there last night, it was packed. There was an older crowd there earlier in the night but was more of a mixture after 12. DJ was pretty good, and it was a fun time. I think they should have pulled some of the tables and chairs out by the stage so more people could dance. You had people sitting in the middle by some people dancing and it looked to be a bit crowded. Food is not too bad, been here once for food, so will be heading back to check out more.

After reading a Tweet about dollar burgers on Tuesdays, I took a couple of friends and headed over to check it out. As one reviewer said, it's very busy on Tuesday nights and from my experience, the crowd was pretty mixed and not quite the cougar town I kept hearing about. I'm sure it's different on a weekend night. We were seated within a few minutes. The burgers are indeed a dollar and come with a decent sized patty, the bun and lettuce but you'll need to spare about 50 cents for things like cheese, mayo and bacon. I was under the impression that draft was $3 but by the end of the end of the night, our check read $4 per beer. Either we missed out on the happy hour or our waitress overcharged us - either way, we weren't going to harp about an extra dollar and it was still a pretty good deal. Another reviewer mentioned the layout of the restaurant which, I agree, is bizarre. Immediately behind the hostess there's a square shaped bar that's uncomfortably close to the two entrances to the outside bar - diners and waiters are bustling back and forth so there's a chorus of "Excuse me" and "I'm sorry". They probably could have utilized the space more efficiently. But overall the experience is great and the Tuesday prices are worth it - it's a bar that's a few notches above the typical sports bar but not quite the meat market like Beluga in Winter Park.

I have been in several Bar Louie's and they are all the same - bad service! I hate this place and really don't understand why i keep trying. The bar tonight was empty but 3 patrons are flagging down bartenders for a drink. I waited 20 minutes for a drink when everyone around me was empty too. It's really not that difficult to pour draft beer and serve bottled beer.

When i first sat down, i wasnt served for atleast 20 min. It was kinda unbelievable. If it wasnt for me being new to the area and meeting friends there i would have left. As the night progressed, the waitress seemed very nice and attentive. Maybe next time im in town, my experience will turn out better.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CLOSE THIS PLACE DOWN! I now realize that when poor service is so consistent and widespread you usually need to look at management (FELIX). Have you ever gone somewhere and waited for over 30 min for a glass of wine or beer? WOW! They must actually have a wine vineyard that they actually step on the grapes. I have never been to a place where the service is this horrible. 3 waitresses walked by our table and did not even look at us. When I finally said...can I have some water. The young lady who barely looked - 18 said "oops". Then when we asked for our drink order the waitress says "I have told the bar to hurry up, I tell you they need to pep up there step" Mind you... this is an employee of this establishment talking bad about where they work. after about 45 min, I requested the so called manager..he then says..let me comp your first drink order. 20 min later we still were not served again. You would think after the first mess up they would be at our table asking us if we needed anything...long behold..they never did. As we walked out I asked for the manager once again and talked to him about how bad the service was again but he did not seem to care. The waitresses also found it funny ( laughing at us) that we went through this disgrace. I plan on calling the owner and going a step further. This is not how you treat customers for over priced food and drinks. Word to the wise...boycott this place. SHAME ON THE SO CALLED MANAGER FELIX! Service- 0 Management training- 0 Customer Service- 0 Acting like someone who cares about it's patrons -0

I never feel the need to write a bad review about a business but this place reallllllly ticked me off last night. First, we get there and wait at the bar inside for about 20 minutes and the 6 bartenders working NEVER acknowledged us. So we tried our luck outside at the bar. Didn't take as long to get some type of service but they didn't have the type of drink that we wanted so we had to go back inside to get what we wanted. I saw the same girl walking back and forth with bottles but couldn't go get the bottle that we wanted, which they did in fact, have inside. Back inside now, we wait another 10 minutes and another woman walks up who we casually talk to about the service. She then bets $5 that she'll get served before us and guess what, SHE DID! This was unbelievable. So we FINALLY place our orders and they asked for ID's. Two of the people i was with have foreign ID's and they asked for their passports. (note that last week we went to the same place and they didn't ask for them) When they gave her their passports she states, "it's the law". Then we ask, "was it the law last week?". The little b*t*h then says, "well i don't have to serve you at all", and she walks away. I could not believe that she said this to a paying customer. I was so shocked. She said it so easily that it couldn't have been the first time that she has done that to someone. I would've asked for the manager but i had a feeling that they wouldn't even care. We were there for about 2 1/2 hours and managed to get about 3 drinks the entire night. They don't realize how much more money and tips they can make if they even just pretend to care about the customers a little. This is a nice place but the service and the bartenders suck a**. I don't think i will EVER go back there again.

To be honest I think they have the best bar food I ever had and its inexpensive. I like the chicken nachos and quesadilla. They also serve a big portion. The decor is a nice loungey and sports bar type. They do have tv's around the bar, lounge tables toward the back, bar tops to sit at, dj/band stage to your right with a descent dance floor, and also a nice outdoor patio. It gets loud after 9pm rather a band plays or a dj. And I mean LOUD! It depends on the night too. I just like to go around 7 or 8pm to get a table to eat. I liked the berry mojito but it could be fruitier. Yes the cougars and jags come out lol its fun to watch them act crazy. The roles are reversing for a change jk. Best bar food in town!

im a regulat here and overall friendly good service except for this one time where they were understaffed for a night. they compensated buy giving out complementary drink and food vouchers.

This is a great after work bar. This place has an excellent atmosphere, and a very professional crowd. The food is tasty, and they have weekly specials. The service was a bit slow on our first trip, but I will be sure to give them another try.

This is a fun location, but be prepared to pay a lot for drinks and the food is just "ok". This is a crowd typically in their late 30's to 40's. The live music is good, but you absolutely cannot hold a conversation while they are playing. The outside patio is nice.

Only been here on Tuesday's for $1 burgers but I have to say on that night is is definitely the place to be. You get once of their full-size burgers for $1 plus .50 for any extra toppings not like other places where they have a burger special and it ends up being a mini burger. The burgers themselves taste great and if you go during happy hour the apps are half price and I have to say I would definitely try the tator tots or the calamari. Not much of a beer person but if you do like beer they have a wide variety so I'm sure there is something for everyone. Also the wait staff is very attentive and I have to say most of them are very attractive both girls and guys so there's also a little eye candy for everyone. One thing I actually liked was the managers were also very attentive to the guests which you don't see very often. So if your looking for a place to go then Tuesday's at bar Louie is definitely a place to go.

I haven't eaten here but I was there on Friday night around 10pm and immediately got my beer spilled on me by some d-bag trying to muscle his way up to the bar, which he vigorously denied doing. This did not bode well... Quite a young crowd for the Dr. Phillips area, I didn't realize it was such a hip destination for the under-30 set. The DJ was playing party-music, the people were dressed to impress. Not really my scene, but I was impressed that Dr. Phillips had a real nightlife destination.

I've been to Bar Louie a few times now...It's OK, as long as you know what to expect. What you can expect is very expensive drinks and just OK food. The crowd is mostly 30+, and everyone seems to "dress to impress". Who? I'm not sure... Overall, not my scene...

Horrible atmosphere, bar had a sharp vomit smell. Service was slow & lazy. Weird crowd. Food was below average. And last but not least the worst cover band off the history of cover bands. They sounded like a disaster cover band out of a vacant bar in a low budget movie. Never going back to this pee hole. Bar Louie will sadly close soon.

I really enjoyed this place and it gets a 5 star rating for me. Yeah, its a cougar bar in an upscale area of Orlando so your gonna have some older ladies up in their showing off their bling, and if your lucky you may see a Saber-toothed Tiger (the mom of the cougar) however, if your going there to hook up it may not be worth the 5th star to you, however I will say, where there are cougars and saber-toothed tigers.... there are Cubs. If you get what Im saying. On to the important part. The prices are excellent for a place that has such a nice upscale vibe to it. Im paying the same I would in any bar or restaurant that wouldnt even get 4 stars from me so this is a good thing. Some people just know how to give a good deal, alot of food, with good drinks for a bargain to keep people coming back and this place is it. This is what we had: CK - He ordered the Seared Rare Ahi Tataki style w/ a full Hummus plate. The cuts of Ahi were thick, the portions for both plates large. (and the menus says "small plates" dont be fooled) Q - He ordered the Philly Steak Sliders. 4 good sized Philly's for $7 and he couldn't even finish. Russ & I - We both ordered the Buffalo Sandwhich was absolutely amazing and way too big for me to finish. Think ALOT of very moist choice chicken tender chunks breaded and smothered in a wings sauce over an 8 inch loaf of bread with lettuce, tomatoes, blue cheese and mayo and huge helping of fries. Sooooo good! All in all, this place is awesome. I highly suggest it. For more info: barlouiecranberry.com

Fun place to gather over drinks and good conversation. Professionals gather here to mingle and meet, it's great to be around here because you never know who you will meet. The food is alright, I only eat the tater tots because they're the bomb.

The drinks are cheap and so is the clientele. Bachelorette and frat boy heaven. And as for music, there's a reason why Nickelback and Creed are relegated to strip clubs and biker bars.

LOVED the food! I got the "Fried Louie," a burger with cheddar, bacon, and a FRIED EGG on top- that's right, breakfast on a burger. It was awesome and I will be coming back for more, no doubt! ;] The fries were also remarkably delicious. I usually don't even like French fries, but these were seasoned very nicely and had decent texture. Since my first visit, I've also tried the hummus plate, the pretzel sticks, and a few other items... everything has been top-notch. Knocking off a star because of iffy service at times, and weird/awkward layout. I will say, though, that they have giant HD TVs everywhere you look. It is great for watching "the big game." Give it a try.

Good food! Good atmosphere... Service was fast even on a Friday... Enjoyed the live music and the tv's had all the days sporting events.. a good upscale sports bar with a great mix of patrons..

(4)Andrew N.
(3)Adriane W.
(4)David H.

(1)Charles H.

(3)Elle L.
This is the central Orlando version of Red Star. It's really tasty - probably 10 times better than your average bar food. Looks like they have a place for bands to play. Great burger and drinks specials! The best thing? They let you sub any burger for a white turkey burger or chicken breast.
(5)Kas T.
nice atmosphere with older crowd. best dollar burger in orlando! dollar burger night on tuesdays! patty choices include regular/chicken/portobello/veggie. is it tuesday already?
(4)Brian B.
Great place for after work...good drink specials, decent food and a laid back environment.
(4)Christine H.
So I think I would go again to try the drinks...and with etoh everything tastes better. ;)
(3)Don M.
(3)Lisa N.
(4)Antonio B.
happy hour great, servers are very nice. Margaritas, there 1.00 burger was cool , awesome convenient in Restaurant Road in dr Philips , I get my hair cut in iStudios Salon by Nancy and then happy Hour in Bar Louie.
(5)Blake A.
(5)Haley N.
(4)Zena M.
(4)Thomas G.
(4)Joely O.
Loved the atmosphere, good location. LOVED the smores martini. I would recommend this place.
(4)Anardo C.
Don't ever come here for lunch! One server for the entire fucking place slow as fuck!
(1)Dave C.
(3)Steph H.
(3)Patti M.
(3)Jillian B.
Came on a Saturday got busy fast. Johnny is the best bartender we have had there yet!! Did not eat but have had food on burger Tuesday it was good!
(4)Nicole M.
(4)Catherine l.
(2)Marielle G.
(3)Shera R.
I went there on a Monday night and they were extremely understaffed. We were sat but it was 20 minutes before we were acknowledged. Bad customer service all the way around
(1)Ashley A.
(2)Brandon L.
(2)Becky W.
The martinis are awesome! Definitely go for happy hour or it can be pricey. Be prepared for them to run out of popular beers such as bud lite.
(3)Jennifer W.
(1)Kathy D.
I love their martinis here! My fav is the Tickled Pink, sweet and well the name says it all--pink! The Diva is sweet and fruity, also very tasty. Order the tater tots and bruschetta to munch on. I always get the tots extra crispy Yummm.
(4)Kalvin K.
Great sports bar located in the heart of Dr. Phillips. They have a great happy hour special that goes on here. I would recommend coming here to anyone.

(4)Nick L.
Worst service I've ever had. It's seat yourself, but what kind of place leaves a table sitting there for 30 minutes, and still doesn't do anything?
(1)Chris N.
(1)Dee F.
The food here is pretty good, but everytime I come here the place is empty. I'm not sure why? That's the only downside of this place. It has the potential of being so great!
(3)Sunshine M.
(4)Bob F.
Nice atmosphere, decent menu and great music. We ordered 2 burgers and it took over 30 minutes, I thought it was too long. The drinks for my lady were half price all night was a nice treat.
(3)Amy L.
Great food! $1 Burgers on Tuesdays but that doesn't include toppings. 1/2 off wines, LOTS of draft beers, the signature martinis and some appetizers. Great service. Very nice atmosphere, a little smokey from the kitchen purposefully. I'll come back now and then.
(3)Leah L.
(1)Andrew P.
This place is great. They have been understaffed for years and the service is slow at best. You can wait 29 minutes for a drink. If they step it up it could easily be a 4.5 stop. Good food and decent TV game.
(2)Momo J.
You won't regret it! xx MJ
(4)Jessy V.
Walked in with a friend at around 530 and 2 bartenders working did not even greet us. We sat for 5 min and another lady walked in and was greeted quickly. We got up and left and went to Millersfield. Go there instead!
(1)Jason M.

(2)J M.
Ordered turkey burger, over cooked and dry... It appeared to have been cooked earlier and nuked. Service is slow and more interested in talking to other staff members than working..
(1)Becca M.
(2)Joey D.
(2)Chris S.
Kristie is simply the WORST bartender ever. I cringe every time she walks up and pretends to give a damn. She is lackadaisical on a good day. Seriously, how many complaints does it take to cut your losses?
(2)Scott F.
Good atmosphere, but the worst gin martini I have ever had. We hit happy hour and the gin tasted like gin-flavored water. Shameful thing to do to Bombay Saphire.
(1)Tiffany J.
(4)Amber H.
Love this place!!! Great ladies night on Saturday. If they are not busy it sometimes is hard to get a server to greet you. Especially when they are all in conversation together. Also don't ask the server blends in wine. They won't even find out.
(4)Anonny R.
(2)Steve A.
(4)Rachel L.
(2)Alejandro T.
(5)Sebastiano M.

(1)Alex V.
(4)Sarah L.
By far some of the worst bartenders I've seen in my 10 years in Orlando. If you want to hire a bunch of know nothing, slow moving, ditsy bartenders to sling drinks, go for it, just don't expect anyone to come in more then once. Not worth the drive or the time.
(1)Bryan A.
(3)Emma S.
Went for happy hour. The specials were great, and so was the buffalo chicken flat bread we ordered. Nice atmosphere and really liked the outside bar area. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the bartender wasn't very helpful when asking for wine suggestions.
(4)Melly M.
I like their happy hours, nice place to go after work! Half off cocktail and appetizer on mondays! Way to give my monday a boost :) Also don't forget about the $1 Burgers on Tuesdays!! Your regular size burgers for only $1! Would go back again for more happy hours!!
(4)Annie L.
Good meeting spot for a casual get-together with friends and big groups. Not recommended for dates. Friendly bartenders and waiters. Decent meal and drink options. Typical bar that's clean and roomy. Live music on weekends.
(3)Janene H.
(4)David M.
(3)Jim C.
Horrible service from the bartenders. Over priced drinks.
(1)Aldo F.
Gotta love the $1 burger Tuesdays! This place is nice, hip atmosphere, cool staff and quick service. Oh and did I mention the $1 burgers? And don't let the price fool you, these burgerS are actually pretty darn good! Totally recommend this place.
(4)Deanna D.
(3)Mia P.
Had the Louie Burger. It was loaded with cheese and hot peppers, very good. I went on a Sunday so there was a sports crowd in the place. The service was just okay, but the food was pretty good.
(3)Lanhy N.

REAL GOOD MARTINI!! Brother and I tried different kinds. One I like is cucumber martini.
(4)Steffanie R.
Went here for a business lunch. They have a Gluten Free menu which is a must for me :) Had the bbq ranch with grilled chicken salad...tasted great. all plates are really huge and the prices are great. Seems like it would be a great place to hangout at night.

/end rant

Great place compared to other douche touristy places near international dr. Best $1 burger I've ever had however its the first $1 burger I've had. Great beer selection and the service was very good.

Nice spot overall and would go back. Good DJ and nice fun crowd.

I frequent this bar for happy hour as its next to my office. They have great drinks and appetizers happy hour specials. However, they always have different servers and the service isn't that great.

(5)Melissa G.
im a regulat here and overall friendly good service except for this one time where they were understaffed for a night. they compensated buy giving out complementary drink and food vouchers.
(4)Frank L.
This is a great after work bar. This place has an excellent atmosphere, and a very professional crowd. The food is tasty, and they have weekly specials. The service was a bit slow on our first trip, but I will be sure to give them another try.
(4)Marci M.
This is a fun location, but be prepared to pay a lot for drinks and the food is just "ok". This is a crowd typically in their late 30's to 40's. The live music is good, but you absolutely cannot hold a conversation while they are playing. The outside patio is nice.
(3)Michael C.

(2)Drew M.
I've been to Bar Louie a few times now...It's OK, as long as you know what to expect. What you can expect is very expensive drinks and just OK food. The crowd is mostly 30+, and everyone seems to "dress to impress". Who? I'm not sure... Overall, not my scene...
(3)Albert A.

(3)Michael R.
The drinks are cheap and so is the clientele. Bachelorette and frat boy heaven. And as for music, there's a reason why Nickelback and Creed are relegated to strip clubs and biker bars.
(1)Cherry J.
(4)Angela L.
Good food! Good atmosphere... Service was fast even on a Friday... Enjoyed the live music and the tv's had all the days sporting events.. a good upscale sports bar with a great mix of patrons..
