I was staying in Orlando for a work conference and ended up staying at Doubletree. The restaurant is located inside the hotel. My review is for the breakfast which I had here during my stay at the hotel. The buffet breakfast had all the typical food items. I tried a couple of them during a span of few days, everything was OK right from omellete to sausage to coffee and bakery items. Nothing stood out in terms of food, service was decent.

Stayed here for 4 days. Ate at the breakfast buffet all days. It was darn good. Staff was wonderful. Used gift certificate off restaurant.com for each time. Pleasant atmosphere and clean. They had some darn good food and all was hot and tasty. Omelet station was delicious and they make waffles for you too. Skip the Bloody Mary's. They were served warm..no ice and didn't seem to have any booze in them. Also 10.50 each. Dinner here was good as well. Had the salmon bruschetta appetizer. Darn tasty. And fish tacos were delicious as well.

Bamboo Grille is located inside the DoubleTree on International Drive. You'll need to either get there early enough to get one of a very few parking spaces outside of the pay for parking entrances on either side of the hotel, or get a parking voucher when you leave the restaurant. Nice lobby and a few nice shops lining the hallway out to the restaurant on the left. We opted to sit outside of the main restaurant on the veranda. Our server was friendly and efficient but a tad bit difficult to understand - a little accent but spoke very quietly and with a noisy group and a musician strumming the guitar and signing, well, I couldn't make out a lot of what he said. I had the ceviche starter and it was good, served in a small coconut bowl and topped with crispy fried thin onions. GD had mild wings which she thought were too spicy but they were nice, meaty wings and cooked well. She had the apple cheddar bacon burger sans the apple. While I said that she only wanted the cheese and the burger, it somehow came out with onion and pickles under the cheese. GD completely "grossed" out and would not eat it since, ugh, it had onions and pickle juice taste on it. We returned it but when it was brought back to us, the burger had only cheese, no bacon. I asked about the bacon and a couple slices of crisp bacon were brought out to us. Since she devoured it, I think it's safe to say that it was delicious. You absolutely cannot go wrong with a salad here (9) - I got mine with some grilled chicken (6) and it was more than a meal. I couldn't finish it. I felt like I had gotten a full bag of baby greens with some tomato strips, cucumber strips, candied pecans and delish blue cheese dressing. The chicken had gotten a little dry since they brought our entrees out immediately after we got the starters. Blue cheese dressing helped so I kept it. We were stuffed.

I felt Like I was in the Islands, not Orlando, you must try the fried shrimp appetizer, it was one of the best, light and cooked to perfection, Wedge salad is a must, I just traded the blue cheese for Feta as I am not a blue cheese kind of gal!!

If you're stuck indoors and want to enjoy a dry night while staying at double tree, this is where to go because they have indoor and outdoor (but roofed) seating! It's a typical restaurant in a hotel with a bar. I had two desserts, key lime pie and chocolate chip banana icecream melting on top of a sugar cookie. What a disaster of high sugar food!! They serve all day and have wicker seats outside where you can see the pool area.

This place can't decide if it is a sports bar or a grille. There are plenty of televisions but the decor is dressy for a sports bar. Small menu for lunch but the food was good. The service is quite good. Since this is part of the Doubletree, you have to park in their gate lot or park across the street in the strip mall and walk across.
