Stopped in on Saturday afternoon with a party of 10. Roxy was quick to seat us and did an awesome job at explaining the sushi options and taking our orders. Now comes heaven. Philly, our hibachi chef was soooooo cute. He could have burned my rice and told be it was a new recipe and I wouldn't have cared. But the rice was OMG delicious. He used different seasonings, and butter. YUM. My grandson which is only 8 was very impressed with Philly. He talked to the boys about football and wresting. ALL of the food was really tasty and the presentation was superb. If we are ever in the area again, we will be going back looking for Roxy and Philly. ***HUGE kudos to the kitchen/cook staff. They were very careful as to prepare the food separately due to a shellfish allergy with one of the boys. .

1.) cold sterile atmosphere. 2.) our server was not interested in our experience. 3.) seriously... They charge EXTRA for fried rice???!!?? What hibachi place charges extra for fried rice? 4.) food was bland. 5.) I ordered shrimp dinner. Mistake. So overlooked it was beyond chewy and again no flavor. 6.) our "chef" did not interact with anyone at the table. 7.) finally, when our server asked if we enjoyed the show we looked at one another and said "what show". DISAPPOINTING We do NOT recommend.

Im writing this review as a person who has eaten on the Sushi side of this restaurant three times, and not tried the Hibachi. So if you're looking for that, move on down the page! The Skinny on the Sushi: The rolls are inventive, and many of them are delicious. The same with the appetizers, many of which I have tried. The Sashimi is really where the value is at; the pieces are huge, and often well cut, and delicious. No skinny little chunks, you basically get mini fish steaks! My only qualm with the sushi is the lack of rolls that do not contain some type of tempura. 4/5 (not an exact number) rolls have something deep fried in them, and are covered in an assortment of mayos. While some people may love this type of sushi, i'm a purist, and like to keep the fish actually raw! The other thing i've had some trouble with is service. Simply put, it can be slow. What i do like is their consistency on food. Each time i've gone, the food has been at or above average, and i'm a fan of consistency. Its worth a try if you're around the airport a lot, I wouldn't feel nervous bringing a friend or client here (for dinner).

I've come here twice this month during work trips. The salmon bento box is a must have!!! I love it everytime!!! It comes with a side salad, salmon, california sushi rolls, dumplings, and white rice. I always order eel sauce on the side. Its fair priced and you can't beat the perfect portions. The service is very attentive during lunchtime. Trust me you will leave full and satisfied. Its my new go-to by the airport in Orlando.

Mallory did a very nice job of being attentive and helpful with our order. We came in fifty minutes before closing and the food and service were good.

Just had a fantastic Easter meal with the family. Steak and Lobster were high quality and delicious. They have the best white (shrimp) sauce in town. Benihana doesnt even have the sauce at all! Finished the meal with green tea ice cream and it was the perfect ending. Smooth and not too sweet. Angie was our server and she was great. I would ask for her next time.

Of course loving yelp the way I do I read numerous reviews before I came here. I heard about the bad service but I thought that might have to do with how busy this place could be. So when I walked in I had high hopes because there were plenty of open tables. I should have stopped right there. Friday night and there's several open tables?!?! But I ignored the warning signs and listened to my stomach and we sat down. Decor: When you first walk in even the door screams luxury. There's LED lights everywhere and the foyer gives the impression that this place means business. Then you look into the details. Sure the tables are some type of granite but the metal holding them up is beyond builder's grade. I think they got a good deal on some tables from McDonald's and switch out the table tops. Then there are the cheap bar like menu cards on the table which instantly took the look from 4 to 2 stars. Let's not even begin to look at how nasty the floor was, we'll save that for another day. The main positive for me is that the hibachi is in a totally separate room. This appealed to me because I hate the smoke smell that encompasses you when you're trying to eat. unfortunately the two spaces lacked cohesion. It sort of made the sushi eaters feel like 2nd rate and lower class because the kitchen and front door are all on that dining space. Why can't people learn that separate but equal never truly exist? Service: I honestly shouldn't rate them on service because we never really got any. The hostess took a good 5-10 minutes just to even greet us, which isn't surprising b/c she was hardly ever was there throughout our stay. Our server was clearly overwhelmed with too much going on and having difficulty putting the orders in the POS. Where is the manager you ask? Oh he's walking around leering at each table but not actually stopping to talk to any of them. Too bad, because his staff really could use a lot of help. We had to even flag down the hostess, who wasn't by the door but talking to the servers, for our check. Food: The only bright spot and reason they will get 2/5 stars is the food. Yes it was fresh and tasty. Which for me was a necessity since I had to wait 35+ minutes for it to be made. The roll I had, Mango Tango, was bright and refreshing. However my bf got the Godzilla roll and man that thing really was a monster. It was huge and very difficult to eat. Not chopstick friendly at all. Unfortunately we didn't receive dishes to put our soy sauce until we were both down to our last two pieces... kind of pointless at that point. Because sushi has really taken off in the recent years, there are too many places where I can get decent sushi. I'll be surprised if this place stays open for any longer than a year, if that. Would I come back? Only for take out.

Had a bonsai roll and a "what is this roll". They both were terrible. I've eaten sushi all over the us, and in places where you would expect it to suck... Jasper IN, Sioux Falls, Buffalo NY, traverse city MI, airports, the food court in a mall...The list goes on. This is crap buy any standards. I'm going to try to upload some pict of the $49 joke (with 2 beers to wash down tough sushi and an okay house salad) that was served to me.

Despite the previous reviews about service I thought it was very good, prompt refills on soft drinks for the kids, and they were very quick to remove dishes from the table. Quality of the food was very good pretty much on par with places like Benihana or Kobe but quite a bit overpriced and potion sizes lacked quite a bit. My gold standard for places like this is Makoto's in Mlebourne FL, but this place has damn good sushi, I ordered a rainbow roll ( $11.00 ) as an app for me and the kids along with Lobster Rangoon app ($7 mostly cream cheese), both very good but the Rangoon was pretty pricey for 4 small bites. The rainbow roll was priced ok and very fresh an very good. Tempanyaki/Hibachi: about the same as every other type of place, although the shrimp app the give you is a little bigger than the others the rest is a little lacking. $3.00 extra for fried rice is a little steep when it is included elsewhere as standard, otherwise they give you regular steamed white rice. Pretty small ginger dressing salad, basic onion soup, very small portion of noodles Chicken $18 is pretty steep for one chicken breast along with the regular stuff that comes with it. Steak and Shrimp $28 quite a bit higher than others. Kids Shrimp for my daughter @ $9.00 was about $3.00 worth of shrimp so I gave her quite a bit of my food, but includes dessert (scoop of iced cream) Sake @ $8.00 is a little overpriced as is soda @ $2.25 Overall I did like the food, but the value was not there, The location is such that it that caters to business travelers so they do not have to count on locals like me but have a lot to compete with in the plaza they are in all which have happy hour specials, early bird, etc.... this place offers nothing of the sort....... yet.

Wow! 1st off, I do not know where any bad reviews came from. I am a restaurateur and I love dining out. THIS place was awesome, upon 1st entry, from the name, to the menu, the playful decor, the ambiance, the gorgeous lighting, EVERYTHING was to my liking. The prices were great and the waitress was sweet and friendly. The drinks were stiff and the food was delicious. I am a big foodie and the only reason for returning to Orlandoso soon was to visit all the restaurants that I got to dine at on my first visit and I will definitely be back to Ari lol.

I have been to the location in Celebration, but this was my first time to this one. I must say, when it comes to sushi, I am biased. I already have my favorite sushi spot, and nothing so far has come close to it. Having said that, though, Ari's sushi is good. Nothing special, but fresh fish in good combinations. My only criticism is that they should have more rolls with salmon on the menu. If you are in the area and craving sushi, check this place out!

Hands down best Hibachi in Central Florida. I've tried them all, but this one you can tell the food is fresh and not as 'heavy' as their competitors. They take time to prepare be food, it's not all for show. Green tea ice cream is a great after dinner treat! I visit quite frequently.

Craving some sushi we made a stop at this new place in the Orlando Airport Area. After an oddly slow welcome at the front door, we were seated. Friendly waitress quickly took our order and the salads were out fast. My Sweet Sesame salad was tasty and the Ginger Salad was nice as well. We also ordered the Crab and Spinach Salad (with real crab) and it was tasty. Each of the rolls were good as well: Winter Park Roll, Volcano and the Samurai. Good yes, the best no but still fresh and well done. They have a separate room for Hibachi, which was nice. Worth a stop if you are in the area and want to try a non-chain location.

Good.. But not spectacular.. Didn't try the hibachi.. Perhaps that is spectacular.. The service provided by Angie was awesome.. Kobachi tuna was good but the amount was too tiny for 13 bucks. Had the fried rice.. Pls don't use roundy sticky rice for fried rice.. Use long grain.. And what is up with corn bits in fried rice???. The fried rice was tasty better than at pf Chang.. They also have switched to roundy sticky rice for making fried rice. NO.. Use long grain

Very clean and friendly Japanese restaurant. Food was very good and close to hotels around the area. Hibachi was good and so much food.

Overpriced mediocre sushi. Zero ambiance in what should be a beautiful patio on a gorgeous night. They have empty tables with no decor and have the chairs stacked up to the side. People arrive they set the table and grab chairs from the stack. Arrived at 6:45 and were sat immediately... we didn't get out until 9 freaking o'clock. We had an order of ademame and 3 rolls total. Waste of money and a ton of time. The waitress was very nice the few seconds she actually showed herself. Will not be going back EVER.

Visiting this facility has been the worst experience that I have had in years. I do not recommend that anyone attempt to eat at this Sushi Restaurant. My experience: Thursday night, 7:30 PM, I took my daughter and her friend to try this new restaurant. We walked in and the place was almost empty. We sat down, ordered waters as we looked over the menu. I ordered the Sushi / Sashimi ( 9 pieces of Sushi a California Roll and a Tuna Roll - $28.00 ). The girls ordered several rolls for themselves. I ordered one drink and one of the girls ordered one glass of wine. 30 minutes later, we ordered a full bottle of wine, which we never received. 45 minutes after ordering, our food came and the entire order was wrong. For my Sushi order, I asked for two types of Tuna and one type of white fish. I also told the waitress that I did not like Salmon or Eel and she assured me that it was OK. Guess what, all that I got was Salmon and Eel. Actually, there were five Salmon and Eel, four other pieces of Sushi, but NO Tuna or White Fish. One of the girls rolls was also wrong. I sent everything back to be fixed and was assured that there would be NO problem. 15 minutes later, our waitress came back to the table and informed us that they were out of Tuna. At this time I asked to talk to the manager. 5 more minutes went by and the waitress came back to tell us that the manager was to busy to talk. I told the waitress that if he was to busy to talk that we were leaving.and she said; "OK Leave". We got up and left. As we walked to one of the nearby restaurants, a man pursued us and wanted me to pay the full $100.00 plus bill. When I explained to him that we had not received any food, he told me that he did not care and that we needed to pay. When I refused to pay, he told me that he was going to "Kick my Ass". Events went down from there and we left. This is NOT the type of place that you want to visit. Stay away.......

Went here with a Pilot friend of mine. We arrived at 9:26 and were told "we close early tonight" We replied "Your hours say you are open till 10pm" hostess replies "but tonight we close early, we changed our hours" - well update your website and door hours so your customers know. Thinking that it was staff laziness and lack of management on duty I called to speak with a manager. He hasn't been there for days, I called everyday since. finally spoke with him today and he was the worse! Rude, unapologetic, cold, and would not introduce himself by name "Why do you want my name?" Hey a-hole maybe it would be wise to be nice to your potential customers. This is the age of social media. Stay away from this establishment. They don't deserve your money.

Great meal at the grill! I recommend the Samurai Roll. I had the Shrimp Hibachi, and it was very fresh and cooked to perfection.

We almost didn't go with reviews because we wanted sushi and no one seemed crazy about it. BUT- it was great!! Tuna Poke- strongly recommend! Don't listen to the reviews- try it yourself!! Yummy! Will go back.

The sweet potato tempura roll here is AMAZING! Definitely worth a try. Also, the hibachi is pretty expensive though you get an insane portion. I think you could probably make 3-4 meals out of the one dish. Overall good bang for your buck :)

I was really glad to see a new Sushi place opening up near the airport and close to home. I had High hopes for a new regular place to eat, but this just wasn't it. It really had potential with location and the boom of restaurants in this plaza. The decor was nice and looks like they are set up for patio dining as well in the future. The staff was pleasant but not the most attentive to detail. Prices are not terrible but more along the lines or Restaurant Row/I-Drive instead of the Lee-Vista Gateway. I have not been to the Celebration location, but it may support the prices better in that location. Menu appears to be Korean or Chinese owner based. We usually like to sit at the sushi bar so we can watch the chefs at work. Unfortunately, the layout of this bar is far from receptive to this activity. The seats and counter are so low you stare at a granite wall, barely see inside the coolers never mind the chef's craftsmanship. We started with a cold premium sake (Tenzan Jizake) which was good and probably the best deal in the place. We would also normally order wine with dinner, but again for the quality of wines on hand they are quite pricey. Since this was our first visit, we decided to get a few small dishes to sample a variety of items. I will probably try one more time to try Sashimi and focus on fish and see if these were just "opening Blues" Details below.. $4 menu - Gyoza was deep fried and a bit greasy. ShuMai was steamed and bland. Small Plates - Spicy Tuna Kobachi ( Poki Style) I guess Poki means really hot Sriracha sauce. unlike "Poke" which is a Hawaiian style with Sriracha used to enhance the flavor. There was so much sauce you could not taste the tuna. I asked for a few limes to rinse the tuna off. Sea Bass had a nice taste and texture but quite a small piece for the $14 but the best tasting item we tried. Other - No Salmon Skin - This is just me, but a favorite of mine anywhere I go. I was a bit surprised not to find this on a "fusion" menu Unagi roll was fine but a bit shy on the eel in the roll. I was going to order the Tuna Carpaccio until I saw one arrive next to me with the Parmesan cheese topping. I guess I could have ordered without the cheese but was pretty much finished with food for the evening. Final note: At least a few times the waitress came by to check and asked how is everything, which was a great gesture. My response each time was " it was OK" to which she replied "Oh, so it is all great?"

Excellent sushi! Beautiful restaurant and very nice staff. I highly recommend the lava roll and Alaska Crunch Roll. The miso soup was great too. They have a small bites menu with multiple appetizers for $4. Can't wait to come back.

I have called in sushi takeout on a few occasions. DO NOT order if you are in a hurry. Tonight i was told 15 min when I called in my order. 35 min later, I am still waiting. This is not the first time I have had to wait 20+ min after arriving.

Just had lunch here - tried the sushi/sashimi combo ($13) with a seaweed salad ($4) and miso soup($1). The sushi was very nice, fresh and beautiful. The soup and salad were all good too. My server was super friendly and attentive (refilled my green tea 3 times!) I'll definitely be back.

I've eaten here twice - once hibachi and once regular table, and both times the food was outstanding! I highly recommend the scallops on the hibachi - I dream about them now.

The ingredients are very fresh. I was looking to go to Carabbas but it was busy, so I stepped over to the sushi bar. The only complaint I have is that the sushi bar is super low, uncomfortably low. The cooler blocks the TV and you can't see the sushi chefs do their magic. With that said, all the ingredients were fresh, they had lots of options and the miso soup was delectable. They added something extra, not sure what it was, but it was some of the best I have had. The staff is attentive but not annoying, and are willing to go out of the way. The cucumber salad is fantastic. They have plum wine, which wasn't on the menu. The atmosphere is very interesting, modern chic with LEDs. I felt a little underdressed with jeans and a tee shirt. Also, the hibachi is in a separate room, so no burning food fumes to cloud the sushi area (a problem at many hibachi bars) I left my iPad in the bar area and the hostess ran me down and gave it back. Great experience. Quick too. Overall great experience :)

  • Pierre S.

Just got the hibachi. The standard soup was caned and uneventful. The salad was good and spicy. The chicken and steak was nothing unusual. For the price I expected something more. The fried rice had some fresh vegetables. The hibachi was standard and uninspiring. The Sushi was fantastic again.

I was there on Thursday night w a friend service was horrible. I ask to speak w a manager and I was told that manager wasn't there but owner was. They had owner come out I advice him that service was not great at all we had to wait for our waitress which she couldn't be found all night so we had to end up ordering from other waitresses and all he ask me was did your food come out in time at that time I told him are you not listening your customer service sucks he said I'll be back he never did. I would never go again to eat there. Does he don't know that customer service besides food coming out on time is important we didn't even get an apology at all so we ended up writing on the receipt customer service sucks and no tip.

Ive gotten togo from here several times. The sushi is definitely fresh but not the best i have had in orlandl. and i have never had any issues with wait time. I have ate in once for lunch the server was nice and attentive. I believe the price point on the rolls is a bit high for the type of dining experience. There are table cards from an old school mom and pop style sushi restaurant that should not be there.

We had a long wait even with a reservation. We had the hibachi and the food was pretty good but just extremely slow. We had o e person in our group order white rice and they forgot about her. Our cook was also very confused as to who ordered what and I ended up getting extra scallops since he thought someone else also ordered it. Overall it was okay, not sure if it's worth going back.

    (3)
  • Liz D.

Service was fine, never needed to ask for refills and the chef got our orders perfect. $3 extra per person for fried rice is crazy. Sushi roll we got was very good and came out quickly. Other than the, the hibachi food was kind of bland. I prefer Tokyo Japan down the street by far.

    (3)
  • Cherie E.

Our family did the hibachi. While it was OK, I think it was a little over priced. Everything was slightly over cooked, the 'show' was average, and the salad was cut in such small pieces, it was hard to eat with chopsticks.

    (3)
  • Pam M.

Disappointing. Atmosphere: not really, and too brightly lit, and the place was empty. Should have been a warning sign to turn around and go. Food was hard to finish as it was the worst sushi I've ever had. Would not go back.

First time to Ari at the airport and we were thoroughly impressed! We've visited their Celebration location and enjoyed it but we love Hibachi so we tried it out. Decor is very cool and contemporary (and CLEAN unlike some of the local Hibachi spots) and we were pleasantly surprised to find they have a full bar ;) Food quality was excellent, best Hibachi filet we've had and the lobster to die for! Even our picky eater cleaned his plate, the portions were huge though so the rest of us get to enjoy again tomorrow! We will be back for sure.

First time trying this new place. Been waiting patiently for it to open. Nice looking place, and clearly my friend and I had a better experience than two of the other reviewers. Our server was very attentive, refilling our hot tea and water without our having to ask her. Had the beef tartare appetizer which was plated nicely and served with a little horseradish and a nice sauce on the plate. We had house salad next. A bit small for the price ($4) , but the ginger dressing was good. We shared 3 rolls: rainbow, seito, and California dreaming. All were delicious. Price range $9 - $12 if I remember correctly. Not too many people in the place, and we arrived at 7:15pm. I'd definitely go back. No one was in the Hibachi room while we dined, but the smell of hibachi cooking was in the air, and it smelled good. Didn't check the prices for that since we were there solely for the sushi. It has only been open a few weeks, but so far, so good.

Good tasting it Skimpy on the good. I would give them 4 stars if they wouldn't be so skimpy on the veggies and noodles . I mean how expensive are veggies and noodles.

My husband and I were actually very excited about Ari Sushi opening up near our home because it is hard to find a good sushi/hibachi place. Tonight we placed a take out order, nothing complicated, we both ordered the Traditional Teriyaki Chicken one with white rice and the other with fried rice, and a sushi roll, not complicated right? Well after my hubby got home, we noticed that we have a very large side of fried rice, which I do not eat, and no white rice. The sushi roll was soggy, imagine that and they also did not provide us with any soy sauce, white sauce or teriyaki sauce as requested. So my husband decided to call and see if there was anything that could be done. Not only was the hostess, which I am not sure if that was what she was or not, but the girl who answered the phone rude about it, she basically said you can come back and get the white rice or deal with it. My husband wanted to know if there was something else that could be done because he did not want to drive another 15 minutes and she put him on hold, came back on the phone started to say something, then bursted out into laughter and basically again said that he can go back or deal with no white rice. When my husband said that this was our first time ever ordering from Ari and it would be the last time and they lost a customer, her exact words were "thats ok, have a good night." Are you serious? Normally I wouldn't let something like this bother me, but being a new business in the area, you might want to think about brushing up on your customer service skills. We will never go there again simply due to the lack of customer service skills that were displayed tonight. Our bill was not exactly cheap either, almost $50.00 and to be perfectly honest, for food that was not all that great, for that price, I will continue to go to Kobe's Steakhouse where the food is delicious and I know that I will have exceptional customer service. Too bad because we were really looking forward to this place and now you will have one less customer, but as the hostess said on the phone, "thats ok."

Good wasn't bad. Got the wrong order the first time so it took a long time for the right food to come out and the restaurant wasn't overly busy. Service very slow at the bar and only one of two customers. They put those suggested tips on the bottom of the receipt (18%, 20%, 25%) which I don't mind but they calculate it off the total bill including tax and not off your actual food/beverage. It isn't that much more money but I think a little shady to get you to tip more (why tip on sales tax?). Makes you wonder what else is a little sneaky here.

Very friendly, good service. Strangely fairly empty. Hibachi was great- very entertaining!! Always fills up my family with leftovers. We are not a fan of chain restaurants and this was perfect.
