They had me at the Ice Cream cone shaped building. Seriously, as an artist, I love businesses like this. Randy's Donuts out in LA, the old Brown Derby that looked like a Derby style hat... it's one of my kitschy loves. Now, in the spirit of full disclosure, I don't love ice cream. Some people do ( hello, Dad ), but I don't. It's not that I don't LIKE it, I just never have a taste for it. HOWEVER, Twistee Treat is hard for even me to resist. It's the only ice cream place I EVER find myself wanting to turn in and eat at. I'm simple in my ice cream tastes- soft serve chocolate does it for me. But my wife and daughters LOVE the Oreo and Cookie Dough Twirls. If you're near any of their Central Florida locations, give them a try! Darn, got myself thinking about them now. I might just have to go get one.

I get that people love Twistee Treat locations because it's so very kitschy. It one of those spots where sometimes you don't know you want it until you see it in the distance and then ALL OF YOUR BEING MAKES IT A GOAL! It's soft serve and you can get it however you would like. I do love the idea behind the flavor burst cones; cool mint, yum! They also have their version of blizzards: Twirls. I have never had any of their slush, because, well I can't turn down ice cream but it's another option. I usually go for the hot fudge or carmel sundae, simple classic and you can never go wrong. They have many other sundae flavors too: peanut butter, blueberry, peach, pineapple, cherry, marshmallow, etc. Avoid the mid day long lines or summer evening lines or just be prepared for them!

Ice cream is great but the place is run by teenagers so you're going to get lackluster service. They took forever to take our order, walking up to the window and looking at us with confused deer in the headlights looks. But it's not like they weren't busy, this place is always slammed.

This is one of the best family spots in ocoee. Great for any family who wants to enjoy ante night snack. The ice cream tastes semi artificial but twistee makes up for it in charm. This place is loved by many in the ocoee/windermere area

Anyone that doesn't give this place 5 stars is CRAZY! When I first moved to Winter Garden, my husband raved about how amazing it was and I never really believed it would live up to the hype that he gave it. I had been to other Twistee Treats and never thought that they were any that special but I was soon to be proved wrong. Twistee Treat is by far my favorite ice cream place. This place is always packed but the lines move quick and the service is friendly. Their long lines never compromise their service and their are few ice cream places that can beat their prices. Their portions are huge so if you go, I highly recommend getting a Junior size. My 6'5 husband can rarely finish a small. Secret tip: Order your Twirls "Lightly twirled" and they don't mix it as much leaving huge chunks of whatever mixins you picked! I promise it will change your life when you have huge chunks of reese's or oreos in your ice cream!

It's soooooo good. We've even sat outside on a cold day to eat our ice cream, because that's just what you do. I mean, there is a drive through, but that goes against the whole experience of it all. There are so many choices, that if you get behind the wrong kid, you could have a long wait. However, that's understandable, because it's all good. The flavored ice cream is my fave. Coffee and Peach being the top too. The service? I guess it's good. I never noticed anything to the contrary.

Incredible. It gets very busy mid day and in the evening, but it is well worth the wait! The smoothest, creamiest ice cream I've ever had in my life. The prices are so good, it makes trying to pick something out almost impossible! No matter what you get, you won't regret it.
