Marco Anthony is a quaint little Italian eatery. It was very crowded when we got there which is always a good sign. The food was good overall and the staff was friendly. It seems to be the kind of place where all the locals go and there were alot of regulars. It has a very fun and upbeat atmosphere. We ordered the calamari which was a little overcooked but had some good crispiness and flavor. The veal picatta was solid and the vodka sauce was excellent as was the bread and roasted garlic served with the meal. The prices are fairly reasonable but the portions are large. The service was good considering how busy they were. We did feel a little left out, not being regulars and not receiving as much personal attention as some others, but if the food is consistently good, we may become regulars.

Nice little italian place. It's quite warm inside (I went on a cold day so this was okay with me). They do not have a liquor license yet so don't serve beer or wine, but there's a Publix next door and they let you bring your own beverage in. We started off with garlic knots. They were dry, which was a surprise as usually they are really greasy and oily and covered in garlic. I like them a little dryer so it was a nice change. They brought a small bowl of marinara out, and while it was a good consistency, there wasn't loads of flavor in it. Their sauce was just a bit muted, like they didn't put enough spices in it or something. Hard to describe, but I give them a 3 out of 5 on their sauce. I got baked ziti, which was good but had the same sauce on it and wasn't popping with flavor. My wife got vegetable primavera with alfredo and said it was fine. The service was fast and friendly. I would like to try their pizza as it looked and smelled amazing, but I think I'll wait to do their pizza until I can have a nice cold beer with it.

Serviceable pizza, nothing spectacular, but better than the chains. The salads are pretty good, and the service is friendly. The place is small and has no ambiance, so it might be a better choice for to go food.

The a/c is broken and it's a sauna in there. Seems to be a reoccurring problem. Sad, because the good is great!

Best Italian in Ocoee. Server (I think his name was Bal) was both knowledgeable and very accommodating. Pizza was good and entrees were great. Because the wine list is limited, we brought our own bottle and charged only a small corkage fee. We'll definitely be back soon. My only complaint is the color of the walls and the tacky artwork. If they don't do something about the decor, I may have to wear blinders next time I go. But either way, I will be back.

If you can't judge a book by its cover, don't judge Marco Anthony by the ambiance. Located in a strip mall and with paint that changes literally every time I visit the restaurant, this place doesn't look like a quality Italian restaurant--but don't let that fool you. From pizza to pasta, Marco Anthony has great food. The bread they bring out before the meal is always fresh and hot, and the garlic dipping oil is the perfect accoutrement. But the entrees! First, know that portion sizes are huge. Second, they have perhaps the best Alfredo I have had in central Florida. It's simple and always tastes fresh. I also recommend the eggplant rollatini, which is superb. With that dish you get the rollatini and spaghetti, which is always more than I can finish. If you're more in the mood for pizza, you won't be disappointed with that either. As with the pasta, just go hungry.

Basic Italian fair here, Pizzas, subs as well as classic pasta dishes. Amazing probably not but its convenient and the service is friendly. The prices are about right about ten bucks for a chicken parm.

Not much to look at, but great food for the price and very attentive service. The servers really made the dinner nice!

Debated between 3 and 4 stars but friendly service bumped it up to 4. Just moved down here from NJ and have been on the hunt for good pizza and Italian food. Apparently it's a lot harder than I thought it'd be! The first time we went, this place was amazing, and I don't think it was because I was having pizza/Italian withdrawals. I ordered a slice of pizza and it was delicious. Nice sauce, crust, etc. The antipasto was also really good. The eggplant rolatini? Also a winner. We've been a few times since and for some reason just haven't been blown away like the first time. The eggplant rolatini hasn't been the same, but still decent. Chicken parm and saltambocca, same deal. Good but not amazing. Not sure if the owner was there the first day and that's why it was so good? There was an older man overseeing everything and helping clean up that day but I haven't seen him since. Thinking that's the reason for the better meal. We'll still be back though as this is the best Italian we've found in the area so far!

Ate here while between soccer games for tournament. This place is excellent. Pizza is real NY pizza. Alfredo was creamy and not oily. Meatballs are out of this world. The marinara is very good too. I wish we lived closer but it's saved in our GPS

really gone down hill. place used to be good, but the new owners are more concerned with keeping their electric bill down than the comfort of patrons. The place is ridiculously warm and the service is bad. The pizza crust and sauce aren't even close to before. sauce is very bland and almost non existant they used to use the good cheese (grana panada) now its just some cheep blend. cutting corners does not a good pie make. The side salad was actually fresh, though, they need to teach the dressing maker how to emulsify. We had to wait 10 mins in the heat to get our check as we watched our server attend to other guests first. No teamwork here. sorry wont be back

We have been coming here for a cpl of years now. We have enjoyed the food every time we have come here. My daughter always orders the kids spaghetti and she can eat the whole thing. Mind you she is 5 and the bowl is huge. I have ordered many pasta dishes here and have enjoyed every one I have tasted. My favorite is the chicken Parmesan. We replace the side of spaghetti with fettuccini Alfredo and the combination is so good. The pizza is good but I do prefer the pasta over the pizza. Overall though a great place.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Quality has decreased immensely. Service is horrible, with some waiters even being rude to customers.

Let's just be honest. Sometimes you know you can make a better meal than you would going out, but you are just too tired or either lazy to do the work of grocery shopping and cooking. I found myself in this position, and requested delivery. The food filled me up, and the service was super friendly, but the food itself was far from special.

I went on the relatively good rating and $$ I saw here on yelp. It was good. I got the tortellini alla vodka, one person got the stuffed shells and another got some teriyaki chicken wings. The food was tasty and we all had food left on our plates.

Treats customers well, has gone through ownership changes over the past few years which may have slightly hurt the quality or at least the consistency.

Went on a Wednesday evening, around 6:00 pm. It appeared that they were understaffed to handle the dinner crowd. I believe there was only one server in the place. The server didn't come take our order for about 15-20 minutes. After placing our order we finally received bread (almost 25 min after we were seated,). Food finally came, and one of the orders was wrong (waiter wrote it down wrong). Instead of rectifying or apologizing the waiter argued that is what he wrote down. Finally he took back the dish and put the order in for the correct dish. We waited another 20 min for the correct dish to arrive. By then everyone else was almost finished eating. Finally, the food quality wasn't that great. I ordered a medium pizza, and something about it just didn't taste right (not sure if it was the sauce or the toppings or what, but it surely wasn't the best pizza that I've had). I'd say that if you are in the mood for Italian you skip this place, unless you have hours to kill and like bland food. We will not be going back.

If you like food that doesn't have flavor this is the place for you. We had takeout for 4 and there was no seasoning or fresh herbs.

The food was ok, I had meat lovers pizza. I only had one slice because I had found sugar ants in my drink. I had a root beer. It disgusted me that I completely lost my appetite after that. ~7-25-2011

Stop by and pick up a slice of pizza or a pie to go or stay, bring your own wine, and eat and relax in a chillin' comfy spot. They welcome you and make you feel at home there. The food is scrumptous.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
