Place is clean, food was surprisingly fantastic. A little over priced.

I finally tried the food! First of all, I must mention the staff. They are so darn friendly and helpful, restaurant owners should take notes because they have it right. I had the House Blend Salad (Granny Smith apples, sundried cranberries, pecans, walnuts, fresh basil, goat cheese and gourmet mixed greens all tossed in balsamic vinaigrette.). Every bite had my tastebuds screaming for more. I love the coffee shop-esque atmosphere as well. Stop reading this and go. Right now!

So I revisited to see if maybe my visit before was just a down time. This visit: Service was great, very welcoming. Several coffee options. I ordered an iced espresso drink and the southwest breakfast burrito ($6.10). The drink was great, the food was not. The eggs were somewhat firm and rubbery with air pockets and a green tint. Perhaps contributed by them microwaving it. I really wanted it to be great, but it is not a spot I would go back to get food. I would stop in for coffee and to break up a routine of Starbucks and Panera. The staff and manager are great, feel good concept of giving back, good coffee and a clean convenient spot.

I've been here twice and had fantastic experiences both times! The employees rock amd the food is delicious. I also had them cater an event where everryone was wowed by the food. Overall, this place is a great find that I highly recommend. Plus, your money goes to a great cause!

I had the pleasure of going to House Blend for the first time yesterday and will definitely be back! The staff was incredibly friendly, quick to serve and engaging. I stopped by to pick up some lunch to go and was in and out faster than I would have been at a fast food joint. I love that they offer a full menu all day and am looking forward to trying their Breakfast Pizza next time.

Good food prepared and served by good people ! This is a quirky little coffeehouse where customers are quickly acknowledged. Not large plates of food , it's more like the portion size we should eat ! LOL. I love that they help the community. My husband often went there for coffee on his way to work and when he had surgery they prepared meals and brought them to our house. Great people !

I absolutely love this place. Everything is fresh and healthy. It's like a combo of Starbucks and Panera with higher quality at a cheaper price.

Great little spot with an awesome mission! The staff is excellent and the food is fantastic. I love stopping in for a latte and a white chocolate raspberry scone. The prices are also lower than places like Starbucks.

A great little coffee house that also serves some awesome food. Warm and cozy atmosphere.

Why does Yelp say its closed today? Closed only Sunday. Stopped in for coffee and something to nosh on. OMG! Great Southwest burrito! The atmosphere is superior to crummy Starbucks or Barnies. Awesome selection of local food and all proceeds are donated back to the community. We will make the drive back to have great coffee and breakfast!

Cute little place with food that has big flavor! I saw HBC on Yelp before but thought they were closed because their PDF menu says they are only open till 3pm. Come to find out they were open till 8! My boyfriend and I decided to call in our order and they said it would only take 5 mins! The cafe is super cute with a chill vibe and the staff seemed friendly. I ordered the chicken pesto panini and OMG...soooo gooood! The pesto flavor wasn't overbearing and tasted fresh. I got the pumpkin apple bacon soup as my side and let me tell you....I wanted to live in this soup. It was smooth, creamy, and perfect for fall. I want to get the recipe to try to make it! My boyfrienf got the southwestern turkey panini which was pretty ok and the baja chicken enchilada soup which had a little kick to it but very good. Overall, I would a great first experience so we'll definitely be coming again! Oh and btw, they had some very delicious looking cookies that I'm curious to try, but decided to save it for next time. ;)

I love the ambiance of this place. Super chill and clean inside. The breakfast servings are good too. Delish and affordable! Plus free WIFI. I just wish this is close to home or my work place then I'll definitely come here everyday. I'll visit next time to try the wraps. :)

Ducked in for a cup of java to GO as I was jumping on the Turnpike and headed Southbound. The coffee was hot, served quickly, and appropriately priced.

Great service very friendly! The place is very clean and food is always well prepared. Coffee is good but not as good as Axum (Winter Garden) or Barnies (Winter Park). The food is nothing extravagant or unusual, basically eggs, panninis, waffles and oatmeal but its fresh and reliable. This is a non-profit place where the fund local outreach programs and work with local churches to do some good in the community. They also do lunches, dinner, and cookies which are really good. The prices are very good so its worth a stop.

I have been going here since they opened! Always excellent service and the food is wonderful! There is something for everyone here from waffles to wraps!

Had their chicken pesto and it was amazing! The place has a very cute and cozy atmosphere! Great place to come and hang out with family and friends.

This was a quaint little cafe with various sandwiches, salads, wraps, and breakfast items. It has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The food is made with fresh and healthy ingredients, including various vegetarian and vegan options. They also have a nice collection of games to play while there.

Didn't try the food, but my smoothie and vanilla latte were both delicious. Free wifi and a comfortable atmosphere. Glad I chose to stop in.

House Blend is a great little place to eat. The food is a cut above and they also do a great job serving the community. I've eaten there several times and every time the food has been really good. They currently have a lunch special menu for $4.69 with 7-8 items, so this makes for a great deal. I can personally recommend the Beans and Rice, the Pulled Pork Sandwich and the Chicken Supreme - all delicious. I highly recommend House Blend Cafe. For what you would spend at some nasty fast food joint, you can get high quality, great food. And you're helping the community!

So thrilled to have finally had the chance to visit House Blend. This is really a great coffee shop with food, real food, like banana nut oatmeal, and sandwiches and salads. . . I'm intrigued by the mission of House blend which is to give net profits to charity. I love the educational components throughout the shop--the dirty water bottle, and the chart of modern slavery posted for example. Not sure how this arrangement is done, but happy it exists. If anything, just giving people awareness of what is happening in the world is enough reason to visit. I enjoyed my oatmeal, and thought the music an interesting blend of 70's music mixed with black gospel and a very vintage DC Talk tune. . .had not heard THAT in some time! I'm encouraged by this space. It seems as if there is so much greed and selfishness in the world,; it's really refreshing to be in a place where we can think about other people and their struggles, as well as contribute to something greater. . . oh, and we get to do this simply by frequenting House Blend Coffee.

I was here again to pick up an order for my office and they forgot an order of chips and salsa. When I returned to notify them of the error they promptly apologized and gave me a coupon for a free chips and salsa next time. FUN FACT: if you check in while your here, you get a free drink with any meal purchase!!

This is a great little coffee house type of restaurant. We ate lunch there with the two kids and my mom. Everybody was satisfied. It is very hip and cool and off the grid. I think you could go there with a book and just hang out there for a long time. There is outside seating, but it is in the sun. The bathroom is really nice and handicapped accessible and comfortable.

This is one of my favorite go-to cafés! It makes me sad that so many people don't know about this place or have never tried it. IT IS SO ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS & they basically have everything you could be craving for! If you buy anything over $5 and check in on fb, you get a free drink;) Including smoothies and coffees! House Blend is a non-profit business too! Could it get any better? YES, it's super cozy, clean, and quiet inside!

  • Hayleigh S.

I love that they serve breakfast all day long! It's quiet, relaxing and it's inexpensive. Money is raised for charity from profits. Its clean and the staff is nice. Great for breakfast or lunch.

A deceptively great place! You wouldn't know just driving by but some of Orlando's best coffee and food are served here. Not your typical coffee house with 100% net profits going to the community. Give their waffles a try you will not be disappointed! Friendly staff and laid back atmosphere are the spoils that come with this great place, (eat good , do good , and feel good).

Great coffee and easily some of the best food I've had a coffee shop makes this one a winner. The bar for coffee shop food is pretty low, so I guess saying the food beats out other places may or may not mean much to most people. That said, the food here is pretty good. This may be the first time I have ever felt like I would just swing by a coffee shop to get something to eat and potentially not have coffee. No, the food won't be putting other restaurants out of business, but its definitely a cut above the average coffee shop fair. Then there's the coffee which has been consistently good every time i have been by. Strong and flavorful, but never bitter. The workers are all very laid back, friendly and helpful. Add to all that the fact that the place is non-profit and you get an extra talking point to float into conversations with other coffee snobs. You can't lose here. Bottom line - House Blend Cafe is definitely one of the best coffee houses here in Orlando.

how can anyone complain about this place? good food, decent prices. nice atmosphere. And they are a non profit.

  • Doug T.

Yet another non profit coffee shop. And like the others in the area, this one puts Starbucks to shame. They have excellent coffee, and a great atmosphere. Their menu is full of delicious breakfast and lunch options as well as a wide variety of drinks. Oh, and the scones are the best I have ever had. Try the blueberry, and no other scone in the world will ever satisfy you're mouth again. The nearby Axum coffee has a better coffee selection, however the breakfast and lunch menu at House Blend is vastly superior. Either way, you're taste buds are in for a great time.

People are friendly here and the food is good. Originally they only had sandwiches and now they are trying to introduce some main dishes. Try the chicken Cesar salad. They have a Chicken Supreme dish that I adore and Oder all the time. It comes with a side salad for only $4.99!

I just love this little café with all the fresh ingredients and very comfortable atmosphere. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat.

Went there for a casual dinner to catch up with a friend. The atmosphere was casual but a bit darker than I would have preferred. It would have been nice if the place had a few warm accent lights so it did not feel so dark in places. Service was friendly and personable, very nice people who made you feel welcome. I ordered the Mexican Salad, hoping this was one of the healthier options on the menu but was very disappointed. The salad was drenched in the dressing and covered in cheese. I could hardly find the other ingredients like beans and corn. There were no other vegetables other than iceberg lettuce, not even fresh tomatoes or cucumber. To be fair, the portion size was very good, a big enough platter to share among two people. I also appreciate the charitable contributions that this location is making to the community and by the looks of it they have a strong breakfast menu with lots of options. The suggestion I would make for them to improve is to find some really great healthy options to add to the menu and to be careful about making health sounding items like "salads" calorie bombs.

When it comes to fresh coffee, good food and great atmosphere this place hits it on the head every time! I'm a HUGE believer in "shop local, spend local" and this place confirms why. The staff is as friendly as can be and they greet you with smiles and warm welcomes every time. The food is outstanding as well. My favorite is the Mediterranean Turkey panini. And of course there's the coffee, brewed fresh all day day long and just perfect. My favorite thing about this place is that they give 100% net proceeds back to the community. Thats just awesome!

This place will not dissappoint. Everything is good, Portions are great! Southwest Turkey Sandwich is awesome! And this coming from a guy who lives in the South West. This thing is so good I've tried to reverse engineer it so I can enjoy it back in So Cal!!! The Mexican Salad is awesome as well. It's HUGE! I can fit my head inside the bowl its served in. I added chicken and had the dressing on the side (my standard operating procedure for all salads). Definitely a meal in itself. If your ever in Cental Florida, check this place out! TIP1: Call and check hours of operation. I believe they close early 3pm-ish and reopen later. TIP2: It's a small joint next to a fan store so careful, you may drive past it. Google map it.

I'll admit it. I'm a huge sucker for coffee houses and House Blend Cafe will totally suck you in. House Blend is definitely not a one trick pony. Not only do they brew up amazing coffee, tea (their Chai Lattes are a personal favorite) and smoothies but they also have an extensive breakfast and lunch menu. I'd suggest the Yellow Curry Chicken Salad Panini with a Mango iced tea for a little slice of heaven during your day. The House Blend offers free wifi and the staff is very friendly. They were kind enough to help me with directions when I first moved to the west side of town. The best thing about House Blend Cafe is that they give back 100% of their profits back to the community through various projects. The only reason I'm giving House blend 4 stars instead of 5 is that during it's busy hours seating and parking can be a bit of a hassle due to it's small size and shared parking area. Other than that, plop down in a seat, bring your laptop and help out your community by indulging a latte.

Even if House Blend didn't donate 100% of the profits to charity, you would still feel warm and fuzzy being there, and yet they actually do! This is your home away from home, and er, those other coffee bucks places. The curried chicken salad is in a close tie for favorite with the Southwestern salad and they have smoothies, great coffees and teas, and desserts. The staff is authentically kind and friendly. Josh Taylor holds "Community Dinners" at House Blend on certain nights for those in need for less than five dollars--full meals. Call for details. On the corner of West Colonial Drive and Bluford Ave., beside Dan's fan city, you've likely driven past and not noticed House Blend before.

The interesting thing about the House Blend Cafe is that they donate 100% of the profits to charity. So feel good about yourself when you indulge in the your latte and cruising through on the free WiFi. The cafe menus here are also much better than your other *cough* Seattle-bsed coffee chains *cough*. Inside, the cafe has plenty of games and magazines to sit back and enjoy and the staff goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. You can also purchase some of their coffee blends online through their web shop.

if there were 10 stars, i would give them all to house blend. not only are they great people, but they donate their profits to charity. and not only do they donate their profits to charity, but they make great coffee. and not only do they make great coffee, but their mexican salad is DEELISHISH!!! and not only is their mexican salad DEELSHISH, but they are great people. i love this place!!!
