I visited this place for lunch with my parents and was pleasantly surprised. We had a $20 Restaurant.com certificate, which made things even better! There is apparently an error or typo on some resturant.com certificates so make sure to ask the cashier to validate the certificate before ordering. We ordered the lunch special of Egg Plant Parmesan over your choice of pasta. This also came with a side salad and garlic knots. The portions for this place are huge. There were two large egg plant pieces over a bed of angel hair pasta. For the $6.95 price we certainly had enough food to for two people. I ordered the Little Italy Calzone, which has ricotta, tomatoes, mozzarella and mushrooms. The calzone was amazing, albeit on the heavy side. The dipping sauce looks to be homemade and goes very will with the calzone. We also ordered a personal veggie pizza, which was not my favorite, but also not bad. I much preferred the egg plant parm and the calzone over the pizza. We visited a little after 1 pm on a Saturday so there was ample seating, however the Christmas music that was playing overhead was a little loud. If you are looking for a good large meal at a low price, then I would certainly go here!

As you walk in you see several different pizzas, calzones and strombolis gleaming from behind the window. A pizzeria that sells slices! You'd think you just walked into a pizzeria in NYC. Not! Though they have tables, this is not a place that has table service. It's more of a help-yourself type of place. I ordered a calzone w/1 topping and only had to wait a few minutes before it was ready. Taking it to my table I noticed how darkly cooked the top of it was. Calzones are usually light fluffy pillows that burst open w/ricotta when you slice it in half. This wasn't that. Upon further inspection I notice it is sliced open. After breaking several plastic knives trying to cut it up, it dawned on me that this was one of the pre-made calzones that had been sitting in the window. All he did was slice it open, insert my topping and reheat it to get it warm. Can you say ick! Current health inspection:0-high priority, 2-intermidiate and 1-basic violation. Fined $800

I moved out of town for several years and don't know if my taste buds changed or if Prontos changed the recipe for the gravy also known as marinara but it was soo sweet Bad news for a diabetic lol...

Horrible service. Ordered online for the second time. I had to call both times to review my order, they didn't even know it had been placed. Had to give all the order twice after being left on hold and the employee just complained about THEIR online order system. Pizza box smashed the pizza and it took about 2 hours to be delivered. The last order was wrong and I had to call for a credit, which A WEEK LATER has not been done. I called for flw up on my credit and AGAIN I have been left on hold after the employe who answered my call told me that the managers were busy doing catering. Just terrible service.

Not impressed. We ordered three pizzas (not large) for lunch. Not anything special - one pepperoni and two 3 toppings. The cost was $50. I thought it was a bit high for the pizza. The crust is okay- nothing wonderful. The sauce is overly sweet - which we did not like. They kinda skimp on something as simple as basil. Still looking for a good pizza place in Ocala.

I have been here lots of times and never had a bad experience. Just now I seen a man come in complaining saying that he ordered a large pie and they messed up and gave him a size smaller . Well it turns out that he wanted the biggest pie (extra large) but did not realize that the extra large is the biggest . With out even a hesitation they gave him the pie he wanted and did not even charge him . The mix up was not even there fault but they fixed it an even told him sorry .!!!!!!! Great place nothing but good people here!!!!!!!!!!

I have always been a huge fan of this place........up until my last visit. Their food was amazing but there was a lot to be desired on the customer service side. My Grandma and I decided to eat here last Friday 1/25/2013 and saw a sign outside that stated "Any two slices and a drink $7.49" So we walk in and point out two slices of their stuffed meat pizza and state to the employee we want to do the special and add garlic knots. He replies, " The cashier will ring you up over there." So far so good. We get to the cashier and state what we have and the price rings up $15.50........."Wait a minute, we got the special" I replied. The cashier then replies " Those aren't considered pizza slices"............"okay........" I reply back. We pay and then the cashier responds "Your PIZZA SLICES will be brought to you in just a moment" I joke back (hint of annoyance in my voice) "Wait you just said they aren't pizza slices" After my comment the cashier proceeds to start screaming at me "If you don't like the prices you can go somewhere else." The packed restaurant is staring at us by now as I am assuring the cashier I was joking. Regardless of my comment this was completely unprofessional. I have a degree in advertising and their board was clearly deceptive. We didn't try ordering Calzones or Salads expecting a discount, we ordered 2 slices of pizza. If they didn't want it to be included in the deal they could say "Excluding stuffed slices." I wish I could say that this was a speed bump in my love of their pizza, but I am completely done. It is people like me, my friends, and my family who keep these small businesses alive. For now on I will be getting all my pizza from another mom and pop located in Pearl Britain Plaza. For the employee who thought it was a good idea to yell at my grandmother and I in a packed restaurant, I hope you get fired. If not I hope at the very least you can be a little more careful with your words. A "Sorry they are not included in our special" would have worked just fine. If I was looking for a deal I would have went to Little Caesars where I could get a whole pizza for $5. I merely wanted you to honor what you advertised!!!!!

Great pizza and super friendly staff. The meat lovers and combo were great. You won't find little slices here.

When I say I love pizza I really mean LOVE in the purest form. I have searched high and low for the best pizza I can find. That being said I can honestly say Pronto Pizza is one of my favorite privately owned pizza joints in the entire nation. It is a diamond in the rough in central Florida. Pronto has a wide selection of toppings and offers many options of unique specialty pizzas not to mention my personal favorite, the baked ziti pizza. They offer a traditional NY style thin crust as well as a sicilian pie. Next time I visit pronto, I plan to try out one of their various pasta dishes. I am glad to be a patron to such a great restaurant and encourage Pronto to thrive.

Just ordered 3 pies including one with anchovies over the phone. Aririved and no anchovies. Strange as publix supermarket a 2 min walk. Just too much trouble I quess they setup 3 pies and I asked "are these for me?"no,waited another 10 min then asked again and finally the light went on.now home with all three pies in the oven as all undercooked. Poor customer service, poor product. This was a quality place at one time, they opened a few others in ocala, most have closed, and they have gone down hill. Sad stay away

It was ok. I thought it was kind of overpriced, but tasted good. Food took way too long and they brought the wrong pizza order to our table. Unfortunately, we didn't realize until after we had taken some bites to find that there were anchovies on our pizza. YUCK! They did bring us a new pizza but, holy hell, we waited forever. The salads were huge and the garlic knots were fantastic. However, I don't think I'll go back ever again.

This is my favorite pizza place in Central Florida! Eggplant Parm on a pizza = my heart (and wallet) eternally. Reasonable prices, great ingredients and loud, friendly New Yorkers behind the counter make this place THE place to get pizza in a 50 mile radius.

This place is a great deal. My favorite pizza delivery in town, and has some of the best thin crust pizza you can get in Ocala!

Had xl cheese & garlic knots. Pizza's crust is pretty good, but the cheese is at best average, and the sauce tastes very similar to that of Chef Boyardee's - not good. Garlic knots are dead cold. Gets 2 stars for food, but the service (or lack thereof) brings it down to 1 star. Briefly put, forgot to put in my pick-up order, had me wait an extra 15 minutes to a total of 30 minutes for what was promised to take approximately 10 minutes, forgot about garlic knots that I had asked over the phone, again forgot to give me the garlic knots, and absolutely no apologies or thank-yous at all. Will not be returning.

The pizza is great. Nice and hot. Your typical American pizza. But they not only sell pizza they also have Calzones, Salads, garlic nots and Pasta. The pasta is great. They make it right there in front of you and they serve it nice and hot. And the garlic nots are my favorite, especially when there nice and hot out of the oven.

Sorry, i don't agree with other reviewers. Granted, there is not much good Italian food around here, but if u are looking for spectacular pizza, go 10 miles south to Belleview House of. The garlic Knots here at Pronto are Ok most of the time, altho they are never hot (neither is the dipping sauce u get) and they have been very doughy (uncooked) more times than not. I actually prefer to buy their pizza dough to make my own. Dough is very good, both for homemade pizza and fried dough (another New England thing!). I've tried pasta dishes 2x, both times, i ate a few bites and pitched it. Only good in a pinch....their prepared pizzas are decent for a slice, if u are very hungry. NOW.... keep in mind, I grew up in New England, making trips into the North End of Boston, aka "Little Italy", and I KNOW good Pizza. I could eat Pizza 24/7, so I have lots of experience with pizza......pizza all up and down the East coast, Midwest, and in Europe .....so, for someone who may be from the south, and doesn't have experience with anything more than the major pizza chains (YUCK), then this is definitely a step up. AND....in Ocala, it probably IS the best 'delivery' place. Good Luck! Again, if u want to pick it up yourself, try the pizza and pasta (homemade) at Belleview House! (they do not deliver).
