We have tried to eat at this location twice, should have learned the first time. Horrible service! Food was horrible! Bread sticks were old. The sauce was supposed to be creamy it was chunky like they used old cream. Made me sick to my stomach. The waitress was rude, dirty looks and all. Must be hard to enjoy having a job and making money these days! Smile more people it doesn't hurt!

Current health inspection: 1 @ Risk violation for food protection, cross-contamination. I was impressed w/ the cleanliness. The food.....that's another story. I ordered the Penne di Mer. Shrimp & scallops w/penne pasta. When I inquired to my server what type of scallops they were, he said they were the"small circular kind" and make a circle w/his fingers. What???? This is the 2nd time this year a server in a restaurant didn't know what type of scallops they serve. Why aren't they familiar w/their own menu? My meal came and looked nothing like the description on the menu. They made an error and had to return it, while I waited, for the correct meal. After consuming about 1/2 I realized there were no "small circular things" in it. I called it to the attention of my server, he looked through the rest of my entree and informed me they forgot to put the scallops in. Okay then.......... UPDATE: I returned a week later for lunch and ordered one of the paninis on the menu, only to be informed by the server they no longer carry paninis. What??? What is going on in this restaurant? Seems like I can never get the food that I'd like. I ordered instead the Apricot Chix w/vegs only after the server described it in detail. What I received again was not what the menu nor the waitress described. The chix was only a small thin slice. So thin in fact that I could not chew 1/2 of it since it was wayyyyy over cooked. It was swimming in the apricot/citus sauce as well as the vegs. My food was barely peaking out from this sauce. Not good at all. The only redeeming quality on both occasions was the gnocchi soup. I will NOT be going back.

Loud and abrasive music that made conversation difficult. Our two requests to lower volume were ignored. Wine choice was primarily screw top! Service was quick and friendly, but we will definitely NOT be back. Logan's nearby is a much better choice.

Our meal at Ocala's Olive Garden was very good. We ordered the Tour of Italy entree, a salad and Pasta Fagioli soup which was served quickly and presented well. Our waiter was okay... not overly friendly or helpful, but got the job done. The welcoming staff at the entrance was very friendly and professional. Have always loved Olive Garden's bread but was surprised that no dipping sauce was available without paying $3.75 for it. We eat at a great Italian restaurant in the Summerfield / Belleview area and dipping sauce is on the table with the other condiments (no extra charge). Tiramisu was delicious!

What can you say about a chain place like Olive Garden? It's the same food no matter what state you're in. I guess the only difference between any Olive Garden anywhere would be the staff. We ate our first meal at this Olive Garden (after living about a mile from it) last night. The staff is all very friendly - we didn't see or meet a bad apple in the bunch. Our waitress (forgive me, I can't remember her name) was not only very friendly, but VERY impressive! She has 8 children (a couple sets of multiples), is getting her Masters Degree, and driving to Tampa for school, and still smiled, was pre-thoughtful in serving us, and was a great waitress. THAT is what I call an amazing woman!!!! The food was good - what I expect any Olive Garden anywhere. I think they've become a little overpriced for what they offer and their quality, but maybe I'm a bit stuck up and pretentious.

Olive Garden is pretty much the same at any location. Service was prompt, food is standard!

Hmmm, what can I say. I think the food was ok and the service was fine. A little on the pricey side for what they offer, but I didn't go away hungary. If you want fine dining this isn't really the place, but good for a family meal, what can I say it's a chain.

I have to say I was really impressed with their food. I ordered the gorgonzola steak alfredo. omg, this was absolutely divine!! Worth every penny too. I had leftover and brought it home to reheat and it tasted just as good the night before. Nice waiter and very helpful :)

Olive Garden is generally okay for an adequate meal. This one was the worst that I've been to. The waiter still got my entree wrong after repeating three times what I would like. My husband had one of the new chicken specials. He said the chicken was very tough and had little taste. The waiter also seemed to think his job revolved around chatting up the college girls at the next table. I would not recommend this one unless you are really desperate. The parking lot is also completely inadequate for the size of the restaurant.

Great meal - great service - great price! Tons of entrees to chose from with huge portions. Everyone was leaving with a doggie bag! Food was served hot, fast and delicious! Heather was our server and she was awesome. Got us what we needed, friendly, refilled our drinks and offered superior service. She is a great waitress! No complaints! Give the Tour of Italy a try for only $12.99 and you will leave satisfied and full!

I was actually pleasantly surprised at the service and the food I had here recently. I've never been a huge fan of Olive Garden because I feel that the food is only so-so for the high price tag. This week, though, I came here with my family because we wanted to use up a gift card. Service: 4 out of 5 stars Our server, Heather, was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Food: 3 out of 5 stars For appetizers, we had the spicy calabrian wings and glazed pork flatbread. The wings were awesome! The skin had just the right amount of crisp and most of the meat was very moist. Also, the seasoning was great (garlic and chili peppers). A little on the spicy side for me, but they were delicious! The pork flatbread, however, was disappointing. It didn't even seem like the flatbread and the toppings were cooked together. It just didn't come together as a whole. For the soups, I tasted all four of them. I really enjoyed the chicken and gnocchi, which most of my family agreed with. For the entree, I had the pappardelle pescatore, which is noodles and shrimp, scallops, clams, and bits of asparagus. By this time, I was so full I could only eat a bit of my dish, but it wasn't too bad. I was sad it didn't have more asparagus, but the seafood and the sauce were tasty. Price: 2.5 out of 5 stars Even with the gift card, it was still on the pricey side. However, we did have lots of leftovers. I don't know if it's because my expectations were pretty low for this chain restaurant, but my experience was enjoyable. I won't be back for a while, though, since their menu barely ever changes and they should be the same in all locations. If you haven't been to Olive Garden in the last year or two (like me previous to this meal), it might be worth checking out again.

Having been to an Olive Garden in Tampa my expectations for any Olive Garden were very low. But this one completely blew me away! It was more than beautiful inside, very spacious, it almost looked like a 5-star hotel when I walked in. The soup was delicious and I drank every last bit of it. The chicken dish I ordered was very good too, and I took home a good portion of it. The service was fast and professional. I can't wait to come back again!

We go to O.G. because the quality is the same at all of them. This one, not so good. Food came out cold. Staff can't seem to keep up with the volume of business- but they should e used to it. Don't go with expectations. Manager replaced our meal, gave it to us free and gave us dessert on top to make up. That's ok but I'd really prefer to have the meal correct and out in a timely manner.

Had to make time to write this. Food was just okay...not even. Servers and waitstaff not so friendly. I finally got someone to speak when I was leaving. Just not welcoming at all but its located right down from the Hilton hotel where I was staying so I drove down there. Probably shouldn't have.

I have been to this location several times and it seems to get worse every time. The last time I went the breadsticks were so hard I could have chipped a tooth! The salad was drenched with dressing and they filled my sons cup so full it would spill after every drink. And it had a lid on it!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
