I usually like this place but tonight was different. Maybe because it was a Monday night? Not sure. There were three of us. My steak had to be sent back because I ordered medium and got med-rare. Our other friend got medium but had ordered med-rare. My husband ordered medium and got med-rare. He just ate his but I sent mine back as did our friend. The return was better but cooked unevenly, part med-rare, part med. I just ate it, too tired and hungry. Our friends' was really bloody, definitely too rare. He ate some of it, but just took the rest home. The salads and sides were good and the steaks were good, just not cooked the way we like them. The lobster/shrimp dip appetizer was just ok. Flavorless. Our waitress was really cute and fun but the service was not very good. We sat with dirty dishes for a long time, even when she brought the to go container, she didn't take them. She forgot water and lemon for iced tea.

Almost gave it 4 stars? (I actaully have changed this a few times) A Chain? It is, after all, Darden and no matter how much I want to disparage them, the company does an incredible job. The place was slammed, the server was quadruple sat and we were thirsty. She still managed to smile and keep everything filled in a timely fashion. The menu lacked on the vegetarian side, but that is expected from A STEAKHOUSE. I ended up with the Spicy Shrimp app some fries and Jalapeno coleslaw. I wanted a small meal but the Spicy Shrimps (yes I do see the s but I like it, so big whoop, sue me) were far from it. It was a canoe full of spicy, unhealthy goodness. Fried were very good Coleslaw was not too Jalapeno'd but had good flavor. It was too much food, but excellent especially for the price. If you want a big shrimp meal, this is the way to go. I had some of the Portabello covered steak to my left , which was tender and flavorful. Definitely get the sauce on the side as it was overpowering. 3 Stars? Why not four? Wine List was poop (I think ANY steak house should have at least one very good cab) It's still Darden so the atmosphere is stapled on. Lack of true healthy and good options. I would say go to Longhorn, you wont be disappointed and it's a great steaks fors the moneys. On a side note, why do first reviews give me so much satisfaction?

We took our 4 kids out to eat after the lunch rush. I've always wondered when the elderly eat dinner...almost felt like visiting time at a retirement village. We had this innate need to be really quiet. Welcome to Ocala... It appeared our server was the ONLY server and she was quite busy. She was never curt but politely rushed and border line - in the weeds. She owned it and took no prisoners, even finding time to pre bus! Most corporate chains are sticklers with the 3 table max rule for servers and/or, after lunch rush, leaving on 2-3 closers. It was obvious this server has been in the business for a long time and is good at it. The food was AWESOME! I had the 1/2 steak salad and loaded potato soup. I asked for the steak to be MR, it was M to MR, which I was cool with. My hubby's burger was delicious. Those buns!!! Makes all the difference. My eldest had a chicken sand, she ate it like she was on death row having her last meal - must have been good. The little homemade potato chips they serve with the lunch plates are the bomb! My trips gobbled up the chicken fingers. No Complaints from anyone! My only complaint, with as busy as this server was, it didn't look good that a member of management and several off the clock front of the house staff members were clustered around a booth just outside the kitchen eating or what appeared to be "taste testing" several dishes. Do that in a closed section out of the public's view, not where your server with six tables is running her fanny off. The only thing we will do different with our next visit...water only. The price for kids apple juice, Holy Same Price as Alcohol Batman! At that cost, I had to check their drinks for vodka. One of the better lunch visits we have had here in Ocala. Would def. recommend.

This place smells like dirty dishwater. The food is really good but the stench is overwhelming. I wouldn't go back just based on the fact that it smells so bad. I think it's the carpet.

Very nice place. Steak was very good. Would of given it four stars, but I never got the sides that were suppose to come with the steak. The waitress never came back around until dinner was done. When I asked what happened to them, I was told that they forgot them. I asked for a price break because I didn't get what I ordered, but was told that that was not possible, and I could take the sides home instead. Too tired to argue, I pass on the take home and paid the bill. I took the cost of the sides out of the tip. Regardless of the poor customer service the food is good. It WILL be quite a while before I return though.

I love the menu choices and it's always prepared as asked. The service could be a touch better with more attention to bringing out the starter bread quicker and drink refills after the food is served. If I want a great Prime Rib in town I always go here.

Had lunch at this chain steakhouse. Being a first time patron of this establishment, I was impressed with the quality of service and food. I had the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer, followed by the spinach feta chicken, with two sides (risotto and mashed potatoes), for my entrée. Every part of the meal was freshly prepared, with lots of homemade items on the menu. Was thoroughly impressed, and will most definitely make return visits in the future.

My son came into town and suggested that we go to Longhorn. Big mistake. First of all, the wine selection is a joke of typical horrible wines that every chain puts on he menu. The really bad thing was that this place had absolutely nothing of value. Many of us quickly decided that water would be better than any of their best wines. BTW, when you charge in excess of $10 for sub par wine... you have a problem. On to the food... Bad value and bad food. I specifically asked the waitress what the salad was made of- knowing that I did not want a bowl of iceberg lettuce. She assured me it was mixed greens. Guess what... we all got out iceberg lettuce salads. A true joke. I would hurt myself more by eating the dressing than eating the absolutely NO NUTRITION iceberg lettuce the salad contains. IN the trash! Salmon- when you pay $18 for fish, you want good fish. The waitress did not even know if it was farm raised (bad) or wild. That means it is farm raised with lots of antibiotics and hormones. No flavor. Rice was awful. I paid $18 for a yucky piece of farm fish. The rest of my party felt the same way. Food was something that is just above fast food. It's all pre-packaged stuff and Longhorn obviously thinks that their name precedes them. It does not. WILL NEVER go to another in my lifetime. Waitress did not even bring out check in a cover. She just put it on the table with a pen. That's cool with mom and pop shops- but this place charges way too much for really crappy food. Not one person in our group commented on anything tasting good or anything like that. I had to fight back the desire to bitch about everything - because I did not want to ruin anyones dinner. Once we got home, we all talked about how horrible the food was. Just don't do it.

I came to your place on 9/7/14 to Eat an the girl in charge of seating Let 30 to 40 people go in front of us. She got nasty and said she called us. We had a buzzer and was standing Just four feet away. So we won't be coming back.

My husband and I went to Longhorn's to celebrate our 31st anniversary. We had skipped lunch that day and arrived at approximately 4:45. Early bird dinner time.! From what we observed it was the perfect time to eat. We were immediately seated surrounded by a relaxed atmosphere. Colleen, our server arrived at our table within two minutes suggesting tea, soda , or libations. My husband had his usual beer and I had the black and blue margarita that Colleen suggested. What a great drink! After I tasted that I asked for a glass of water. If I hadn't had the water I would have downed that yummy drink immediately. I requested the Flo's filet and salmon that used to be on the menu and my husband had the 20 oz Porterhouse with a side of sautéed mushrooms. Our salads and the bread you have to request were promptly delivered. I love their salads, they are crisp, fresh and nice and cool. Our meal was expertly paced. Our dinner was delivered on hot plates (which I personally like). Everything was delicious and prepared perfectly. It was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! It really was one of the best meals out we've had in awhile. We ate maybe half of our meal and took the rest home for dinner the following night (still fabulous) Colleen than brought a scoop of ice cream with hot fudge and whipped cream and wished us a happy anniversary. I used to work as a server at a large seafood chain restaurant. I am super observant in all restaurants and I notice things most customers don't. Colleen was great! She was bright( mentally), cheerful, funny and very good with all of her customers. Really great meal ! I don't mind paying for wonderful service and great food. We've probably eaten here fifteen times and always enjoyed our meals.

I thoroughly enjoy this chain. Very tasty appetizers. Today I had the boneless buffalo chicken to start. I was getting full from just that and I was sharing it! My entree was the chicken and strawberry salad. I ended up taking some home. Sweetest waitress ever named Kiki. True southern charm there.
