My husband and I went to Gator's in Ocala last night, and it was THE BEST dining experience we have EVER had! Seriously - the food was absolutely delicious and very well-priced, our server Wade was very prompt and attentive, and I even got a free shot for my belated birthday! The manager, Nick, even came over to check up on us and we had a great talk. You know you had a great meal when there are no leftovers to bring home! Gator's is our #1 stop from now on!

First time here at Gators Dockside and I'm impressed. Nice atmosphere and welcoming. Danielle our waitress was very nice and helpful to is first timers. Ordered the Shrimp Dinner with wing sauce instead of cocktail sauce. Came with plenty of fries and an amazing cranberry slaw. Carol got the summer salad and finished the whole thing. Need to come back for the wings and some beer. Over all very good, on the way to 5 stars, we'll see the next visit.

Great wing special today. 20 for $6. Had to get enough to take back to the hotel for later. Great service. Grilled wings took long so they gave me sample of gator bites. Good stuff. Gator's hot could be hotter. The Gator special was okay. I put hot sauce on both. Brittany was incredible. As usual I asked if she's a student and she is. So we talked about that and her plans. Looking at UCF which I pushed, of course #ChargeOn I gave her names of people to talk to at CF that I know will help her. She made the simple meal more pleasurable.

Wow what a major disappointment... The wings which should be the best thing on the menu are way overpriced and they look like they were raised in Sub Sahara Africa and very dry. Typical Ocala Sports Bar.

An ordinary sports bar/wing joint experience from a local chain. Spacious digs and even bigger TVs to watch your favorite team. That's all you need from a place like this, right? Food is decent enough, and the beer options at this location were somewhat better than I expected (Cigar City on tap, etc). Service tends to be slow, but that isn't a huge drag when you're watching a game for 3 hours.

Came for the trivia, we will be back for the wings. This Gators Dockside has a Thursday night trivia from 7-8:30 we had heard about and it was our first time. We're were seated promptly and the place was well packed. Out of all the trivia we have been to in the last night this was the largest with about 20 teams. We decided to try the wings based on other yelpers recommendations but were overwhelmed with the selection of sauces. Our server Bree offered up her recommendations upon our request, jerk wings, chipotle bbq, and the scooter wings. She nailed it. All 3 were great but the scooter wings were crazy great. Also ordered the in house made chips which were crispy and delicious. Had the 2-4-1 beers too and came in 3rd place in trivia and took home a $20 gift card. We will be back next week! Great job Gators Dockside and thanks Bree!

I've been to Gators a couple of times before I left a review. They usually get you right away at the door and seat you where you prefer to sit. Waitress are great and friendly. Food has always came out fast and hot. We usually get the Fish Dip appitizer and it is really good. I find the wings are the best in Ocala. You can order them cooked "22 minutes" and they come crispy. The menu is pretty large, but most selections are fried. My complaints are that they only have fish fingers or Mahi Mahi, which is very small. Also, they have 2 for 1 on draft beers but you have to take them at the same time. That makes no sense being that I don't guzzle my beer and the second one is usually warm by the time I get to it. We last went on Labor Day. I got a buffalo chicken sandwich with Gator Chips, my other guests got fish and chips, chicken wings and fries and Mahi with yellow rice and fries. Everything that was fired was dark brown. Obviously the grease had not been changed in some time. The Fish sticks were the size of your fingers and the Mahi was the size of a playing card. All three of us who had fried food had stomach issues the rest of the night. I'll go back, but I hope someone from the business reads this and try to do better.

2nd time here...got the gyro...horrible...no beef, all lamb which was overcooked, dry and about to spoil. Tatziki was barely there..... on the other hand, the chili is awesome.

It's a typical chain restaurant. It is clean and basic American food choices. As for kids, use your better judgment. It's a sports bar, people swear at TV, not bad swearing but I wouldn't talk like that if little ears were around. I don't think they would as a matter of course but hey, their team just screwed up, who is thinking about their surroundings in the heat of battle!

Over priced and not a lot on the menu. Way too loud. Couldn't hear the person in front of me.

Great little non-chain place, looks to be a good spot to watch some local sports if you want, not far from my hotel (Hilton Ocala). Great 2 for 1 specials on drinks. Loved the fish dip, so glad that I read thru the reviews and found that!!!. For dinner I had the blackened tuna w/ yellow rice, The fish was cooked perfect and enjoyed every bite! I was in and out in under 45 mins, so this is a great place if you are looking for a quick meal, or if you are going to belly up for the game.

My brother and I came from Massachusetts to Ocala to visit my parents. We went to the bar for some drinks. The bartender was very pleasant. We were delighted to find that it was 2 for 1. Both drinks and beers. Being from Mass, we also asked to change the tv channel to the Bruins game, the bartender said no problem. We had great service and good drinks. Overall good experience.

Came here tonight with friends from out of town. This is actually the first review I've ever written, but the wings were so awful and the service was even worse. The server was lovely and I know it wasn't her fault (I don't think) but we waited for our food for OVER 45 minutes and the place was dead! The table behind us who were seated 20 minutes after our arrival (who had MORE people in the party) somehow got served way before us. If the food was delicious Id have let it slide, but the mashed potatoes were literally instant mashed potatoes, and the wings had little to no sauce. When we said something we literally had to ask them to cut us a break on the check because they didn't seem to care at all. Plus the place was dirty to boot. Thumbs down.

Staying across the street decided to pick up some dinner. Buffalo shrimp good. Ahi tuna was fabulous. Thank you! I needed that.

I'll forgive a lot of mistakes and problems if the food is good at a restaurant. I care more about food flavor and quality then service. But when both are absolutely terrible, that's when I feel extremely frustrated. Our food took 45 minutes to arrive. Had someone actually acknowledged how long we waited with an apology, I probably would have been more understanding. But no one said anything. We had to ask for a manager to get our first order of wings to come out(unlimited wings on Mondays). And they were awful. They were so bland and tasted like frozen wings that were microwaved. We tried a bunch of different flavors, all with the same lame result. And then when we got the bill, they didn't even offer to take anything off for the 45 minute wait. I was completely disappointed. Stay far far away. 80 bucks for 3 people, worst money I ever spent.

Pretty decent all around. Tons of screens to watch the games. Food is average, drink specials are above average ;) Staff is always great at the bar, I'm not really a booth guy so I can't comment on the floor service

OK, granted, the place was packed because it was trivia night AND Florida is playing in the NCAA tournament tonight. However, overall it really only earned 2 stars no matter how much of a break I try to give them. The food was pretty bad. I took 2 bites of my dinner and opted to not waste the calories on it. My coworker didn't enjoy hers either. Our server was very busy but she did make several mistakes. The prices are low but none of that really makes up for a very "meh" experience.

Came in here on a Tuesday night for dinner after a long day at work. I enjoy trying new places like this when I'm traveling. I have to say the atmosphere was hardly what I expected, it's a sports bar but had a very laid back feel. I had the gator tail and some Caribbean jerk wings. Both of which were phenomenal. The waitress was nice and kept checking on us. Manager even came by to see how things were going. Defiantly a place to stop in.

I only go on Mondays. All you can eat wings and they have hot and fresh wings with diverse flavor choices. YES.

Went to Gator's Dockside on a Friday early evening, they were busy but not packed. We asked to be seated on the covered patio which they abliged and were greeted quiclky by the server. Had the smoked fish dip for an appetizer and we were pleasantly surprised, it waas very good. My wife's salad and my Corned Beef Reuben were very good. Server was very helpful and polite and we would recommend Gator's Dockside to friends.

I Like the plethera of screens and tvs. They even got a tv in the restroom! Got the ribs n wings combo for $17 bucks, pretty decent pricing and includes sides which there are also plenty to choose from. The food was very greasy though but what do you expect for that kind of food. Service was decent. Environment was lively with music and drunk folks in the patio area. Cleanliness was maybe a 6 out of 10 and decor was an 8 out of 10. Overall experience, a decent place to watch a game or fight on tv. but don't look to be a cheap skate.

It's a pretty typical sports bar type atmosphere.. The waitress had a lot to be desired. Even my Dad thought she had an attitude and he's the eternal optimist who thinks everything is always great. The food? I had a fried buffalo chicken sandwhich with gator chips and ranch dressing. It was delicious!!! Amazing!!! I'll be living close by and eating there often. I'll chalk the waitress up as having a bad day.

My group of seven was well served. The grilled wings were excellent and the two for one beers had me sold from the start.

Went with a group of friends after golf can'tspeak for the food or drink as they would not sit us until the entire party was there. We had 5 people but one golfer had to run home to change. We asked for table for 6 waittress counted only 5 so she said rudely no table until all here. We said forget it and went to the winghouse
