The best hot dogs in Ocala, FL and surrounding areas! Teresa & the gang are really nice & friendly, the location is great , right next to the train tracks, lots of fun watching the trains roll by while your eating your lunch! My all-time favorite is the Jamaican dog, but I'm sure that everything on the menu is delicious! Love, love, love this place!

Yep, it's a diner. One star because I wouldn't go back but a second star cause it's kinda cute, the ladies are nice enough and the hot dogs were fine. That said, my chili was cold and the gyro was bland. It's just standard diner food and nothing more.

I used to enjoy going to Dee Dee's. I will never again give this business a penny of my money and will start recommending that others do the same. The service is absolutely horrendous. I ordered an item that is stated to have soup as a side option for a moderate additional charge. When I ordered, I even said, "add a side of chili". Fast forward to the end of the meal- I receive the bill and was charged the full price for the chili. When I politely inquired about it, I was informed by the rather ungracious waitress (with poor teeth) that "chili is not soup". Interesting because chili is listed in the soup section of their menu. I asked about it and was told "chili is not soup here" and the waitress then turned and walked away. Given that this is the attitude of the staff, I would be surprised if this restaurant remains in business much longer. It's a shame, as this used to be a good place to patronize. Never never again!

~Very dissapointed~ I haven't been to DeeDees' for a couple of years. Now that they've made a name for themselves, their prices went tru the roof! I ordered a slaw dog with a home made french fry and a coke. It came in a small red basket with a "few" fries of the 'frozen variety' (perhaps 20 pieces, if that many). I kind of presumed that those fries came with the hot dog basket. Total: $7.05. Needless to say, they will not get my business anytime soon. Isn't there any place in or around Ocala that one could get a simple hot-dog with hand-cut french fries for a decent price??

Was a cute place to stop for lunch since my grandson loves trains. I had a NY dog that came with spicy onions. Found it to be very flavorful. My husband had an omelet and said it was excellent. My grandson had a hot dog from the kids menu which has quite a few menu items for them to choice from. Coffee was on the weak side.

Wanted a cheeseburger for lunch. Was in the area and had heard good things about this place, so I went in. Ordered a 1/2 pound bacon cheeseburger cooked medium. When it came it was incinerated and definitely not a 1/2 pound. Never saw waitress again to offer to refill my drink or to see how I was doing. May be a decent option for lunch if you are in the area, but I will not be back.

These hot dogs are HUGE!! You definitely get your bang for your buck and you can put pretty much whatever toppings on it you prefer, and in addition to that, they have a toppings bar!

My co-workers and I went to have lunch at Dee Dee's Diner (formerly Dee Dee's Doghouse) and waited 40 minutes for our food to come out. No one apologized, with even a simple "Sorry for the wait". The staff gets a 3 out of 10 on the customer service scale. When the food did come it tasted pretty good. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich. My colleagues had salads. (I think they grew the lettuce while we were waiting). Dee Dee's might be worth a try, but be careful about getting your expectations too high.

Good local eatery sit down or take out service with a smile. Interesting and fun decor, friendly knowledgable staff and most of all good tasting food. Had the gyro sandwich and manhattan clam chowder both very good. Definite place for a good lunch and to watch the trains go by.

Yes, Mrs. Calabash - you still can have lunch in Ocala for less than $5.00! Dee Dee's is open again - located at the Historic Ocala Train Station. Under new management; Giovanni & Maria - members of the Latinos Y Mas family, have been involved in Ocala food service for 20+ years. They have expanded their menu to include both Breakfast & Lunch - with many homemade dishes like Arroz con Pollo, Cuban sandwiches, Spanish omelets, arepas & plantains cakes. Don't forget to try the Tres leches cake for desert. Delivery & catering are also available. Looking for a quick - inexpensive meal; treat yourself to lunch at Dee Dee's.

My boyfriend and I go to Dee Dee's as often as possible. The staff is very friendly, the food is hot and delicious, and I love being able to see the trains roll by as I devour a philly. This place is a tradition for me and my loved ones, and Ill always keep coming back. Seriously, one of the best philly cheese stakes in town.
