This place is incredible! Like every other review says, you MUST get the Shuban sandwich, but you need to ask for it because I didn't notice it on the menu. First bite into the sandwich was immediately followed by "We're going back..." The sandwich was beyond words. Guys behind the counter were also very friendly and patient considering it was our first time there. Anyone coming to this side of FL has to stop here for some great food!
This was awful. A friend recommended the place on our way to a concert. Maybe I got the wrong food, but the hot dog I half consumed seemed undercooked and pricey. Needless to say I would not recommend.
Did some Yelp research and found this place near where we were staying. I recommended the BF order a Shuban because I read that was the best sandwich. As I don't eat pork or beef, I knew the turkey was my only option. BF LOVED, LOVED, LOOOOVVVVVEEEEDDD the Shuban. We discussed it as being a 'debris' Cuban. Like the debris Po Boys in New Orleans where the crispy, leftover chunks of roast beef are made into a sandwich, the pork on this sandwich was chunks, some crispy, some really juicy - and then all the rest of the Cuban stuff. He also got papas rellenas (seasoned beef filled fried potato balls) which he said were the best he had in years. I ordered Turkey, Honey Mustard, Gouda, lettuce, and tomato. The bread was fresh, turkey thinly sliced, veggies crisp. I was satisfied although it wasn't anything particularly special. The guy working is apparently there all the time, I am not sure if he's the owner but I don't think so. He was social and nice. He made the food quickly but was there alone so it might be a problem if it had been busy. We will definitely go back!

My husband and I spied this place out on our morning walk yesterday. I'm so glad we found this place! This restaurant will satisfy you all! Have a large group with picky people; bring them all here? The service was fast and friendly and super informative. Ask them not just about the menu but the area. The food was solid and some things were stellar! solid def. - great taste and as good or a little better than I could do. Stellar def. - above my skill level and delicious. We had biscuits and gravy. The biscuits are what I call drop dough style. They were good but I desire rolled out and crispy all around but..... my husband loved them. The gravy is very thick (I suggest you get it on the side), the sausage has a strong herb taste and I like lots of pepper so I added it. (Nom nom) we also ordered the meat lovers omelet, we substituted smoked swiss in place of cheddar. What made this stand out was the incredible Italian sausage, so tasty! Sides of toast and grits (they were perfect). The lunch menu was full of everyone's favorites, especially for those appetites coming off the beach.
This place is always crowded and there are MANY good reviews...but I can't figure out why. I've been here twice. Each time every table was full but we never wait very long to be seated. The menu is extensive but the food is just blah. This past visit I wanted the corned beef hash but when I asked the waiter if it was homemade, he informed me "it's from the can but it's still pretty good." Canned corned beef hash doesn't impress me. Instead I settled on biscuits and gravy. The gravy was just okay and the biscuits were big lumps of flavorless dough. My boyfriend said the biscuits at KFC are better...and he's right. My side of cheese grits were pasty and the eggs were mediocre. The prices are midrange, averaging around $10 per breakfast. I've been to many other places with better food and lower prices. Sorry Frog Pond, I thought the first time was just a fluke because of all the other great reviews but I'm just not impressed enough to return. Oh and the median age range is probably around 65, so if you're younger than 50 you might feel out of place...
Went here for breakfast this morning. We had been here before but it has been a few years. When we were here before, I remember enjoying it. The only reason we hadn't returned is it was always a wait and a crowd. We were seated promptly and the service was pretty good. My wife had the Italian sausage and eggs, I had the biscuits and gravy and eggs. First off my biscuits and gravy was just not very good. The biscuits were huge flavorless lumps. The gravy was not bad but there definitely not enough for the biscuits. The eggs were okay. Home fries don't do anything for me. Wife says her's was okay but nothing special. She shared a piece of her Italian sausage and it didn't taste like Italian sausage to me. I am half Italian so I know of which I speak. Drinks were kept full but I don't see us returning any time soon.

Jude is our favorite bartender - she's great! She recommended her favorite, seafood chowder, and it was fantastic!
Vacationing on the water and faced with a day of clouds and rain? Here's an idea; go to Mangos, order a cobb salad with grilled chicken (I passed on the ham), find some fun people and play cards. The staff is wonderful, my salad was fresh (amazing avocado) and the atmosphere really fun (despite the downpour). Whether you are staying at the hotel, or walking along the beach, you can stop at Mangos for a drink (inside or out) and a quick bite. Others in my party had the turkey melt and club sandwich...good, solid food. BTW...sun returned the next morning and I had steel-cut oatmeal with fruit for breakfast....really yummy.
Attentive service. Small bar and restaurant. Limited menu. Food is average. Price is ok, such as $5 a beer (except for big occasions - Easter Brunch $90 per person? Really?) Nice, small deck and Tiki Bar. Weird music...some guy on keyboards playing hits from the 70's? Odd. Very odd.
