I've only just started coming here and I have to admit I was very impressed. I love Thai food and sushi. I was invited to lunch and we stopped here because it was so close to the office. Hands down the best Pad Thai in North Miami. I love their lunch specials and their homemade ginger dressing for their green salad is great. Also their sushi us super fresh. I saw them make it when I ordered it. They have a combo during lunch that includes sushi and hot meals for those who can't make up their mind which I thought was a nice touch. Service is nice. The waitresses are on it. And it's not super expensive which is good. It's a little place and easy to miss it's right off the golden glades. But if you work in the area it's probably the best Thai around. Stop by, definately no regrets

In a place that combines both Thai and Japanese food, I had VERY low expectations. But it was on my way to I-95 and I wanted food fast. When I first sat down, I was literally the only person in there and questioned my decision to try this place. But it actually filled up in a matter of mere minutes, somewhat of a relief. Service was friendly and efficient. I was amazed at the speed they were cranking out food, and everything they brought out looked fresh and good. I started with the age dashi tofu appetizer, which normally is served in hot dashi (as the name implies), but here they serve it with a cold ginger dipping sauce (meh). The batter on the tofu was crispy and light, tofu nice and firm. It did need the saltiness the broth usually provides. Feeling adventurous, I ordered a sushi roll. My guess is Thai food is the way to go here, but the sushi was surprisingly decent. My spicy eel roll was not at all spicy, in fact it was very sweet from the eel sauce. The roll was a monstrosity. Had I known it was going to be this big, I would have skipped the appetizer. I am a stickler for well prepared sushi rice, and again, to my surprise, this was great rice. That being said, the roll was very heavy on the rice with little filling. I prefer a smaller roll where the fish is the star, not the rice. Overall, fresh food, big portions, reasonable prices, friendly service and free parking. While it won't blow your socks off, I most definitely recommend it.

I'm not the biggest connoisseur of Thai food but I have had it once or twice (enough to make a good comparison). This place is unique in the fact that they have Thai AND sushi. Therefore, they have 2 huge menus. We sat down and were given 2 menus and 2 specials menus (went for lunch) and realized one menu was for Thai and the other was the Japanese menu. TONS of choices. Not for the indecisive. Once we sat down, our waiter immediately asked us if we knew what we wanted-I didn't; see above. Once I did, he was nowhere to be found. Then he kind of gave me a judgmental look when I did order "that's a lot of food". Whatever, I'll take it home. I also asked for a lunch size portion of pad Thai instead of the $11.95 dinner size since I also got a sushi roll, and he condescendingly flipped over the specials menu rather than just telling me they had a lunch size for $7.95. I'm a waitress part time and know that's not the way to your customer's heart. The food was awesome. I had plenty of leftovers and my dragon roll was amazing. I also got a teeny (think soup cup size) salad with the lunch pad Thai combo. You could get miso soup instead but I'm not a huge fan. The reason I knocked off a star is because the service was lax. I still tip more than most people do because of my waitress nature but I had to ask for a drink refill and to have plates cleared that were in my way, and he automatically assumed we wanted one check when we actually wanted it split. ALWAYS ASK. I live nowhere close to here but I would be more likely to grab takeout from here if I did live close. Food gets 5 stars, service gets 3 so I give it 4.

If your looking for sushi in this neighborhood ... Good luck! Siam square is as good as it gets. Don't get me wrong they are not bad, but if you are a true sushi connoisseur; don't bother. What I dislike the most is the size of their rolls. The dragon roll which is what I regularly order is insanely big. Most the time it falls apart!!! Which frustrates me. There is nothing worse than sushi rolls that fall apart. This sushi Siam location needs to step it up a notch here. Regardless of how "unappealing" this neighborhood is.

Came in here for an early dinner, the chirashi was pretty bad...very rough cuts of fish, not good texture at all. We also got the "three musketeers" dish, which turned out to be just fried meat in a light brown, buttery sauce. Disappointing in general.

Great FRESH sushi! Price is a little stiff though... Greeted by all the staff as you walk in, and leave. Do not be fooled by the street restaurant appearance! Quality sushi! Been there five times sporadically, dine in, and take out ... Delivery is great if you order ahead of time....With Take out you still have to wait about 5-8 minutes when you reach there. -Dine in Staff- You"ll spot the manager right away ... most of the time if you look up you"ll lock eyes with her ... The young hispanic girl and young boy didn't know too much about the menu, so they usually send the Asian guy over... be careful he spits as he talks. Not much etiquette, they usually reach over you as you're eating and clear the plates, and never bring enough napkins... To get their attention mostly, have to wave until they're not looking off into space ( kind of funny). Appearance- Like I mentioned previously, don't be fooled by the outside street restaurant appearance! Siam Square is quality sushi! Menus are oily, but long, and very detailed. Siam has flat screen televisions, and adequate lightning, parking and seating. You can always tell a lot about the restaurant by the bathroom. For some reason every time I've been there they had no paper towels or just about finished toilet paper. When my father went to let the staff member know, they didn't look to pleased, and angrily walked away... ? Food/Beverages- Hand roll is a little stiff to chew, and swallow. The sushi was great, and fresh! I've had the Super Dragon Roll (so fresh), California Roll, Shrimp Hand Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll (nice big sized shrimps) Fish Eggs, Soup, Beef (do not get to dry, and gross). Never get the soda out of the pitcher, it's flat, and tasty very very weird. Price- My total last time I was there which was at the ending of January was 54.60. I went with my father and we ordered soup, fish eggs, super dragon roll, 3 sodas, 2 hand rolls, and the dry beef... Needless to say the portions are good, but we still had a little room... Overall my rating is 3 out 5 ... not in a rush to go back there

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM HERE!!! Driver got lost so my food took an hour and 15 minutes to be delivered therefore the roll with shrimp tempura tasted like rubber and the spinach shiitake app was cold! The OMG roll was supposed to come with spicy sauce and instead came with an overly sweet and thick sauce (does not help that their sushi rice is sweet too.) They also did not deliver the other sauces I specifically asked for. Will never order from here again. When I called to complain the restaurant was already closed and they did not pick up the phone on purpose as they recognized my phone number. Terrible customer service!

I had the dinner special with three rolls. It was too much food to eat! The seafood in the rolls is generous. It was all fresh. The miso soup was excellent too.

Checked out this place recently on friend's recommendation and was happily pleased. Dee-lish Tom Kha chicken, loved the Miami roll & Mexican roll. Very fresh, large portions, good service & not a long wait on a Friday night. Will be back!

So... I lived on SoBe for 5 years but never had a reason to come up this way. I had a work meeting and ended up getting sushi to go. So glad I stopped here!!! Yum everything! Sushi chef was bomb. I got the see through roll and it was so good. I wish I could have the stomach to eat more!! I also got the house salad with ginger. You could tell lettuce was washed and chilled. Yummy. Also for my mother - she got the Wonton soup she said good, but wish the noodles were a little thinner, but veggie spring roll was delicious and I forgot to get her soy sauce for the edamame, but she still ate just about all of them. All in all, I would go here again. Hands down.

Great service by Pie who explained what each dish was as soon as they cane out. Great price for dishes that are normally three times the amount in other restaurants! We loved each course & will be back here for sure!

I have been coming to this place for as long as I can remember. Honestly the best place for Japanese and Thai food! Most of the staff are Thai so it's pretty authentic. The staff is very kind and has been to me and my family for all these years. They always take that extra step to make sure that we have a pleasant experience each and every time. The place is a little small but very cozy. The ambience is very romantic as well so its a great place to take a date. The food is beyond amazing. It has remained consistently delicious through all this time. The sushi is fresh, and the dishes are exotic. I definitely would recommend Tom Sap (not on the menu) if you are adventurous and can deal with spicy foods. Otherwise, anything on the menu is great, you can't really go wrong.

I've been to a lot of Thai places, and this place is certainly fantastic. Great food times, and great priced lunch. Lunch lasts until 5 pm and gives u a soup or salad and ur entree. And the soups and salads are already great. I'm also tough to please.

First time here and the service and food was great. Food was speedy and in the right order. The lunch portions are pretty big I can only imagine the normal portions! I had the coconut shrimp and sweet and sour chicken. The Thai donuts were amazing!!!!!!!!! Will come again for sushi next time.

It smelled like throw-up and old wet dirty over-used rag... I was excited to come eat here after reading all the good reviews but the second me and my friends walked in we were extremely disappointed in the filth that every single table clearly had we literally sat down and b4 we could open the menu we got right back up and left.

Being born and raised in South Florida and having spent most of my time here in the North Miami and North Miami Beach areas, it surprises me how many times I skipped this place. It is right off of the interstate and not in a particularly nice area of town. I always drove by and half considered myself above eating there based on how it looked to me. Once I gave this place a chance is when I realized how much I really like this place. The prices are very reasonable. The portions are big and hearty. Great presentation. Fast and friendly service. Nice calm music. Intimate setting. Clean. Recommended.

If you feel like they are stingy with their lime, just ask for more, genius. This place is always good. Sometimes a little better than others, but nontheless, always good. The prices are on point for what you get during regular hours and their lunch specials are insanely good. You get a ton of food for like half the price. Everything from the tuna tataki to the salads to the jb rolls etc etc have always been tasty and pleasant to look at. Service is fast, nice dining area, and clean. pickups are always ready on time. Do yourself a favor and check this place out if you are hungry and in the area. You wont be disappointed.

Siam Square was recommended by some friends in Miami as good Thai and sushi without a wait. We were seated immediately and the service was very friendly. My table ordered a mix of Thai dishes (shrimp pad thai, pineapple fried rice) and sushi, (orange blossom roll, tempura roll, and others). Our food was brought out as it was ready, which was a little awkward for our group of six. All of the cooked Thai dishes were ready first, followed in varying increments by the sushi. By the time by sushi vegetable dinner came out, nearly everyone else -- even those who had also ordered sushi -- were finished with their meals. I was a bit irritated by the time by food came, but it did not disappoint and was a beautiful combination of vegetable nigiri, a delicious cucumber roll filled with carrot, avocado, peanut and more, a large hand roll, and something I didn't recognize, which was about 1/8 cup of rice stuffed into a slightly sweet soy wrapper and topped with sesame seeds. It was a wonderfully presented, filling and delicious meal. The accompanying green salad with ginger dressing was also very tasty. Everyone else in my group also very much enjoyed their meals. Prices were on the high side (think $12 and up), but portions in most cases were large enough for one or two additional meals. If they can get the timing down, this place would be five stars, but definitely don't let that keep you away. It's worth the wait.

I like this place alot - it's cozy and quaint and has an updated Thai/Asian atmosphere. The service is also pretty friendly. Every time we've been there, the waitresses are always smiling and very accomodating. I've tried the Tiger Tear, Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, Green Curry, Massaman Curry and some of their sushi rolls. I've never had a bad bite here. I also enjoyed their desserts. This is a great place to bring a date, bring your family or even grab a quick lunch on your own.

This place has Thai and Japanese dinner specials for $8.95. The food was great I had the pad ke mao (drunken noodles) with beef & my bf had the cashew chicken. Both dishes came with a choice of miso soup or salad and white, brown, or fried rice. The service was terrible, we had a male waiter who obviously wasn't interested in his job. He didn't know the special, he didn't know the menue, he stood at the counter and drank a juice box instead of bringing me my glass of pinot that I asked for, and he didn't know what the word utensil meant. He either needs to be trained, odr not to work there at all. Also the choices of rolls, while extensive, none of them we different and out of ordinary they were pretty boring which is why I opted to eat the thai food. Overall, not a bad place to go. Would return, but then again there are sooo many other sushi places to try along that road.

Great food, great prices, super friendly service! My favorite place for thai. The red curry is my favorite here

Went here for lunch and what a huge disappointment. :( Tiger Tear: Reeked of fish sauce. Tasted like flank steak that was just quickly and carelessly tossed together with fish sauce, garlic, and chili. Meat was chewy and dry. Definitely not a good representation of a Tigers Tear.. Pad See Ewe: Mushed broken noodles. They didn't use broccolini--they used small broken pieces of broccoli. Tom Yum Noodle Pork: Broth literally tasted like bland tomato water. Noodles were underdone. Topped with several slices of bland boiled pork. Save your belly for another place.

This little place is easily overlooked but it has great food and good prices. As far as my favorite hole in the wall places go this is right up there. The Pad Thai is great and the portions are huge!

The food is great, the owner is friendly and very personable. My only complaint is the receptionist/host, he is not very friendly and should not be working in customer service. He acts as if you are bothering him, and as if he is doing you a favor. When you put money in his hands, he puts your change on the counter as if he does not want to touch you. I would complain directly, but I go there often and I do not want my food tampered with.

I absolutely love this place! It's nothing fancy, but the Thai food is amazing, the service is friendly, the Sushi is fresh and you can't beat the prices. I've been a regular customer since 2006 and don't mind driving to North Miami because I know I'll have a good meal.

maybe 2.5 stars since the sushi offering didn't look that great maybe the common items were ok, but the low volume items like octopus appeared a little dry and old. so I played it safe and tried the chicken pad thai. it was ok. not inexpensive.
