Simply awesome. Kids food? Check. Good for older folks? Mom, aunt and uncle loved it. Check. Something great for me? Absolutely. Family loved the Cuban sandwiches, kids went nuts for the hot dogs and even peanut butter and jelly, Mom's Reuben was fantastic, and what about my turkey rueben? Incredible. We decided to split a pair of cheesecakes... That was not going to work so had to get another. Overall service was great and props to that poor Yankee girl from New York City, she runs the store like a pure original. I think Arnold said it best, "I'll be back!"

NOT real NY Corned beef or pastrami , more like Boars Head, very dried out and tough

I've eaten here three times and found it to be average, at best. Years ago, I was at a very popular (justifiably so) deli in South Tampa and heard someone ask the owner if he used Boar's Head meat. The deli owner laughed....From what I gather, Boar's Head meat is on the below average side of the scale. Dave's uses Boar's Head meat, so that's probably why it's average.

Delicious sandwiches. We always get the roast beef sandwiches and grinders. The cheesecake is delicious. It is pretty much the reason we go, but the sandwiches are so good we get those too. Dave is a cool guy and the service has always been good. I try to go when I'm in this area

Not bad had the Reuben sandwich. Nothing else. Was average at best. Would give them a second chance on their other food. Very polite staff. Kind of hidden though In the complex where they are located.

We stopped in on a Sat for lunch. A decent crowd was there, but we had no problem getting a table. The menu has a large selection of sandwiches. They also sell beer and wine. We both agreed that the sandwiches are just ok, nothing spectacular. I guess after reading all of the rave reviews we were expecting more.

Dave's is on par with the best delis in New York. Dave, the owner, a former ad guy, is friendly and conscientious and the staff is fantastic. The food is fresh and always tasty.

This is one of my favorite lunch places. The New York New York is super good (pastrami and corned beef on rye bread with deli mustard) ...and make sure you tell them to "New York it". This doubles the meat... YUM! I also recommend the cheesesteaks.

Authentic New York and northeast food. If you like it, you'll love Daves. If you don't like it, you may think it is overpriced. But, you are getting what you pay for. Philly is straight from Philly, Pastrami is from Manhattan, etc. Dave is a good guy that supports a lot o local events and charities. Very involved with all the Tioga events. And Carnegie Deli Cheesecake is the best thing ever.

Granted, I didn't actually go to the restaurant, but I got to sample them at the recent Hogtown beer festival. To start, the owner/manager who "greeted" us was the rudest person I have ever met. I am sure its stressful to participate in an event like that, but there was no reason to be so nasty to a patron. I had really looked forward to trying them because I love pastrami, I love corned beef, and I love New York style deli sandwiches. But that attitude just turned me off. They were serving samples of their pastrami sandwiches at the event. The rub was nice, but the meat was just all fat and impossible to chew. The coleslaw had too much mayo, but the pickle was good. Disappointing.

If you miss deli sandwiches you HAVE to check out Dave's New York Deli. They have REAL cold cuts - not different colored meats that all taste the same. They fly their pastrami in from Carnegie Deli in NYC! I had a roast beef on rye - which was real roast beef on real rye bread! Check it out!

I had their NY Style Reuben and got it NY Sized. It was a ton of corned beef! Rye bread was nice. Lightly crunchy and soft and chewy. All the good things you expect in from a NY deli. They get a "that's a nice!" from this Italian!!!

Outstanding deli - definitely served NY style with fresh items shipped in from the Carnegie Deli in NYC. Chefs Salad is awesome, so are their slaw or chili dogs with Nathan's franks. Dave spares no expense or effort to bring the most flavorful and tasty items to his customers. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
