Visited on a Sunday evening after going to the beach. Seemed like a good place to grab dinner -- and it was! Very affordable, very tasty and very friendly staff. Went with a group of people and all enjoyed what they ordered. I also ordered the white wine flight -- so worth it!! I'd recommend going for that alone! Often times I'll choose not to purchase alcohol due to the astronomical markup (yes, I know businesses need to make a profit) but this flight was well worth the price. Only downfall for this visit, the restaurant was understaffed and we had a very, very long wait for food and drinks.

Went here for the first time. Been in town off and on for three years and because it's a little hidden we just never tried it. Restaurant is upstairs and not real big but was very good. Found it on Yelp and decided based on menu we should try it and glad we did! We certainly will make it one of our regulars. You can sit inside or outside on their upstairs deck. Nothing really fancy just nice cozy bar and tables to eat. The food was everything we expected. There were four of us and everyone had something different and they were all good. Prices are very fair. Darryl

This place is a hidden gem. Service was great, food was even better. Highly recommended for groups.

This place was recommended by a local resident we met on the beach. Our servers were friendly and funny! I had the grilled Mahi Mahi with remoulade sauce, loaded mashed potatoes, and grilled veggies. It was excellent. Key Lime pie for dessert- YUMMY! Service was great. Highly recommend this little NSB secret. It's right above the Boston Fish House.

This was totally unexpected deliciousness . Honestly, when I walked into this place thru the bottom back entrance I was like " what have I done." But, we found our way upstairs and was so surprised by the service at the bar and the food was top shelf. They even took care about the presentation ! Matteo's attention to detail was amazing . A shot of water after my martini and I was like WOW ! You have to find this place and put pre dispositions aside. It's worth a visit and you will say " that was worth it"!

Came here with the family last year and enjoyed the meal. Tried it again this year and was very satisfied with the quality and quantity of the food. Mitchell was our waiter and seemed a little aloof.

I haven't been to many places in New Smyrna but from this experience I'd have to bet this is one of the bests. The bottom floor just looks like a little hole in the wall bar but upstairs is a nice, open restaurant with another bar and outdoor seating on the balcony (which is gorgeous in the evening with the ocean breeze) The bartender who greeted us was pretty much running the place because he seated us, served us and still manned the upstairs bar. He seemed to be the only server on so the service was a little slow but he was very apologetic and super nice. He was also very knowledgable about the menu and made some really good suggestions. The appetizers we ordered were simple and a little small but very tasty. The lobster mac and cheese was out of this world! The homemade Sangria was so refreshing and the champagne seafood, although a rather small portion was extremely flavorful! It's unfortunate that the people below didn't have as great of an experience but I would certainly go back. This is definitely a hidden gem and I would highly recommend it!

My husband and I were visiting family who were in town for the Daytona 500 and staying at the hotel directly across the street so we decided to give the place a try. There are two restaurants and we stopped in the one on the lower level first. It was crowded and the atmosphere was too much like a cafeteria so we ventured upstairs. It has the bar atmosphere, but it was much quieter. The service was EXCELLENT and so was the food. Everyone I was with ordered seafood and raved about it. Since I don't eat seafood, I ordered a chicken wrap. Usually a chicken wrap is a chicken wrap, but this this one was actually REALLY good. Definitely worth a try if you're ever in town.

They have an interesting take on Shrimp & Chicken Lettuce Wraps, which used the concave side of a small wedge of iceburg lettuce to nestle the topping. It was pretty good not sure I'd prefer that over time to a robust leaf or three of Romaine? I ordered a Mahi Mahi blackened fish sandwich and that was real tasty and the summer squash-based side dish was served julienne rather than the usual soggy succotash and I liked that very well. Service from the one server and the bartender was upbeat and both those guys engaged our party over sports, the music that was playing (or wasn't playing--after a minor power surge on 1/4/14 caused the lights to go off momentarily).

Worse than bad. When I moved down South 5 years ago this was the safe place. Sometimes great, never bad, but always worth the price of admission. Haven't been back in about a year ... It got that bad ... But, hey, you know, things change. I went to the basics. Married to an Italian woman (and having spent time in New Orleans) I know there is no "best" spaghetti sauce ..... It's what you grew up with. Likewise with gumbo .... I spent two weeks in New Orleans looking for the best gumbo. And what is more "low country" than "shrimp n grits"??? Forget the dish, worst grits I've ever had. The poor bartender asked if I wanted to take the remainder with me, I said "if it was worth eating, I would have eaten it". This place needs, (and I know the guy.... Sorry) a new chef. The food has just never been worse. Avoid this place like the plague. Not too many good places in this town, but it would be hard to do worse.

While we visited on Thursday before Memorial Day weekend, the restaurant was dead at 6:00pm! But we didn't care, since we had our 3 munchkins with us. We sat out on the deck facing the ocean and, despite the view of the Best Western, we enjoyed a great meal at the hands of a wonderful server named Matteo. I ordered the shrimp tacos, which were perfectly accompanied by a Stella. My kids got the popcorn shrimp and gobbled them up without any complaints! My wife's mahi sandwich was awesome as well. I'd recommend this spot to anyone in the NSB area!

This place was gutted and redone in the past year, and seems to be under new management, so the older reviews probably are not relevant to what is going on there today. It is a delightful space, stylish and rich-looking, with a bit of an ocean view and a commodious open air deck. I have been there twice in the past few months, and both times the service was friendly, quick, and efficient, the food excellent. The entrees seem a bit over-priced, so I always order from the sandwich list, where you can get something good for under $10. It's a pleasant atmosphere and i just like being up there.

Sit outside, order the scallops, the flight of white wines and the cioppino. Good food, relaxing atmosphere.

We walked in and thought they were closed, since it was just us and two servers. I silently questioned our decision to stay when in fact they confirmed they were open - where were all the patrons I wondered? It may be that we got there in between the crowd- because I can't believe they don't do well. The food was delicious - I had the shrimp and chicken lettuce wraps appetizer as a meal and it was fantastic! Service was great- they were completely dead and our waiter was still attentive without being too invasive - perfect mix of tending to us and giving us our space. I'll definitely be back!

My husband and I went for our date night and we had a lovely evening. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had the crab cakes which were great in flavor but I would've loved a crispy crust, the ailoli was really good. I had a Seafood pasta. It had mussels, shrimp, scallops & clams on angel hair pasta with a garlic-butter sauce that was absolutely divine. My husband had a house salad with a delicious fresh key lime vinaigrette. Then the NY steak, which was cooked to perfection and so were the vegetables. The waiter suggested that we try the Banana's foster and although we were very full, we tried it. It was outstanding!! Definitely will be back!

Excellent food, except for the hair. My family and I visited Upper Deck on 7/20/10 and really enjoyed the food. We were vacationing at NSB for the week, and this was, by far, the best food we ate on the trip (which included JB'sFish Camp, Norwood's and Blackbeard's). My wife ordered the shrimp and grits and I had the scallops. The scallops were cooked perfectly (which is rare - Blackbeard's overcooked mine the night before), and a side of mashed potatoes complimented them perfectly. My wife enjoyed her shrimp and grits (cajun-style seasoning), however did find a hair in her food. While some people might immediately rate them 1-star for this, having worked in the restaurant industry for a number of years, I realize things happen, and personally, I'm not going to let that incident lower my rating beyond 4 stars for what was the best cooked meal we ate all week. The view from the restaurant was decent, and the overall ambiance/cleanliness/etc. was excellent. HTH

Walking into this place was like stepping back in time to a 70's swinger apartment. The decor is just funny to me, but it is a neat little restaurant/bar. We arrived in New Smyrna late one night on our first night of vacation and thought the menu looked good here. We had the mussels (very tasty), the crab cakes (delicious) and split an order of the lobster mac & cheese. Two of us couldn't even finish half of the lobster mac & cheese b/c it was so huge. It was tasty, but there wasn't much lobster and it was very rich - we both got a little sick to our stomachs but most likely b/c we just normally don't eat food like that. The service was good and the ambiance is very entertaining.

Yummmm...go try the baked macaroni and lobster! My husband and I shared this along with a salad it is so rich that it was plenty for the two of us. Also they've added a hearts of palm salad that we really loved.

I haven't actually eaten here yet, because the first time I tried the service was so terrible I left. Myself and three girlfriends went in expecting a fabulous time...No one acknowledged us for about 10 minutes. We finally had to ask the bartender for some menus. About 5 minutes after that, no one had even come to the table to take drink orders!! The prices and the rude service from the one guy that seemed to be working there was it. We went to JB's Fish Camp instead and had a blast!
