My family and I visited this restaurant on Easter Sunday, 2015. The restaurant was not extremely busy, but they seemed shorthanded on waitstaff. Our waitress wasn't very friendly at all, and the service was very slow. The pancakes advertised on the menu said a stack of three, But what we received was two..also, my son ordered pancakes and only received one just because he's younger, but paid the full price. Ridiculous. The omelette I ordered was really greasy and the potatoes were extremely salty. The toast was burned and so were the 10.00 pancakes! Horrible.

We were uncertain if we would find yummy food on the island, we were wrong! My husband and I shared a burger and shrimp basket, we loved both. We thought our server was very nice and efficient. We look forward to returning.

After reading some reviews, we were skeptical when we ventured into the Sailor's Grill. Fortunately, none of the bad reviews proved true for us on this visit! The atmosphere was wonderful. The food was wonderful as well! Our server, Bryan, was one of the friendliest and most personable people I have ever met. We genuinely enjoyed him and his company over the 2 hours we were there. If you go, be sure to ask for him! And order a banana daiquiri. They are amazing! We will surely return here our next visit to Navarre.

Service can be kind of spotty, but food is decent and great view of the bay. Burgers and seafood place. It's our comfort spot in Navarre.

Limited menu and the service is in no rush. One look at the ocean and a taste of the food made from scratch and you'll be in love! The cinnamon toast (breakfast) and burgers (lunch) are hearty and never disappointing.

Breakfast menu is omelettes only unless you get eggs ala carte or a big muffin. Been here before and the omelette was bland/watery so today I had fried eggs, bacon and a biscuit off ala carte menu, pricy but good, waitress friendly. Signs all over that there would be a dollar surcharge for any egg plate INCLUDING French toast and pancakes due to Avian Flu?! Haven't seen this anywhere else and we eat out a lot.

Worst experience we had all week in Navarre. The food was just ok. Spent $70 for sandwiches for 2 adults and 2 kids, waitress stood against the wall staring at us while we ate and seemed like she couldn't wait for us to finish and leave. Lots of good places to eat in Navarre for similar prices. Would not go here again.

We went to Sailor's Grill for lunch and had very good service and great food. I had the grilled Padoga fish sandwich and my wife the BLFGT. Both we done perfectly. We did go at an off peak time. We'll go back next year for sure.

I would give no stars if I could. The hostess had an attitude. I was ignored for 10 minutes. My tea had almost no ice and was warm. Then I waited 50 minutes for food! I would tell you how it was but I left after this. I was at one point told I'd have to wait because they had a 13 top! What?? Others around me complained about everything from food to way time to dirty utensils. Will never go here again. And do not recommend you do.

No good. All frozen Sysco food. Grody. Wanted it to be good. Alas, it is not. Go have a beer and hang out on the deck for the sunset. The staff was nice and they were honest about the food.

I wish there were no stars to give!!! We called when 2 minutes away on Mothers Day and they said come on in no wait, pulled in and 30 min. Wait. Ok that's fine. Ordered and waited 45 for eggs and omelets to be told it's so busy that the kitchen was just finishing up with Table 15,2 others Table orders were in front of ours and then they would cook our order????!!!! We were shocked! Do they have one cook with one stove and on Mothers Day?? We didn't want to wait another hour so we left $5 for our waitress(not her fault) and left.Never again. This is why no one eats in Navarre.

The first time I went it was very blah. However, I went again when I had family in town (only for the convenience factor). Second time was a charm because my food was good (Raisin French Toast), service was great, and it ended up being a pleasant experience. I was pleasantly surprised.

I live here and want so much to love this place. Menu has not changed a bit since I first ate here over 10 years ago, but I can live with that. The grilled grouper sandwich with onion rings is to die for. However I have tried to enjoy this place several times this summer and always had terrible service or overcooked food...or both. Twice we went and saw open tables but were told we would have over an hour wait. On memorial day they ran out of food. Good management should plan for big crowds on a holiday weekend in an area that is trying to grow its reputation as a vacation destination.

We were highly disappointed with our experience here! After waiting 30 minutes, we were seated and ready to order; however, we were informed that they were out of various menu options. We weren't told this up front; our waitress waited until we began ordering to inform us. It took almost 45 minutes for us to get our food. The sweet potato fries, French fries, and onion rings that accompanied our sandwiches were all cold. My father ordered a burger cooked medium; he was served a VERY well done burger. The manager came out to get the burger and acted as if she had no clue what a medium cooked burger should look like. My mother ordered the BLFGT; the fried green tomato was sliced extra thick and barely had any breading on it. She said it tasted raw and must have only been dropped in the grease for a few seconds. By the time my father got his second burger, the rest of us were finished with our meal. (The server brought his "fresh" order of onion rings out BEFORE she brought his new burger, so they were cold by the time he got his burger.) They were not even that busy, so it was quite ridiculous that we waited almost 45 minutes for food that wasn't even hot. The manager only compensated my father's meal after everything that happened. To add to our unpleasant experience, the servers socialized loudly and obnoxiously with each other, which was quite annoying. We were extremely disappointed with our visit and will not be returning.

Sadly for a place right on the water you will probably get better food if you steer clear of the fried seafood. This place has a nice view but their fried seafood isn't very good and the batter seems rather strange with the seafood obviously frozen and not very fresh. The fried shrimp have that unfortunate rubbery texture that properly cooked fresh Gulf shrimp should NEVER have. They have decent hamburgers here and I hear they do a good breakfast (I'm not a breakfast person so I will never know). Inconsistent would be the best way to describe how most of the menu is executed so it really is a gamble as to what will be good or not on any given visit here. Service is usually tolerable but a bit slow.

My first time here, companion had been before. We sat outside to watch the beautiful sunset and also some people playing volleyball in the sand court below. For dinner I had the pagoda fish sandwich w/ Swiss and grilled mushrooms, onion rings as the side. My friend had the grilled salmon sandwich w/ steamed veggies. Hers seemed a lot better than mine--which was partially undercooked. I sent back the half to be grilled some more and they sent out a new piece of fish which was a little more done--but it was too little, too late. I had already eaten everything else, so took the new piece of fish home to eat tomorrow (after I cook it yet some more).

I was told they could not take my food order because the kitchen had put a hold on good orders. Our friends order took 2 hours until it was ready. The water and sodas taste terrible. Food is way over priced and not worth the money.

It's a hit and miss on the quality of the food and the service. You could get your food out within 20 min....it could be 2 hours. Don't go on mother's day or Easter. My biggest complaint is the slow service.

Goat saw no sailors at this grill so why is it called Sailor's Grill? The Goat is a sailor and son of a son of a son of a sailor and knows all about sailing! Goat does not think this is a real sailor's bar and they sing no sea shanty songs! The Goat hears the hamburgers and breakfast items here are tasty and sometimes the seafood is ok but no good Vegan items to keep the Goat healthy, calm and balanced. The Goat is looking for good times, drama free experiences with free love and this place seems to need more good Vegan healthy delicious food!

We take all our out of town guests here for at least one meal... Sailor's Grill is part of Juana's Pagodas, and right over the causeway to Navarre Beach. You can't beat the view or the prices! One favorite of mine has been the fried grouper fingers... better than any fried fish I've ever had; these are light and flaky with awesome flavor. They have an extensive menu in the restaurant as well as a gift shop, and a more limited menu in the Pagodas. Live entertainment here is always great and on-target. Summertime is 7 nights a week and there's always something going on. Hands down the best spot to view a sunset in the Navarre beach area.

Disappointed again, tried breakfast and what a mess, omelets that are not omelets, ie whipped eggs dumped over the "omelet" ingredients (ham & cheese), greasy potatoes, instant grits, the toast made from their homemade bread though was excellent. How this place cannot up their game is such a epic failure when it should be a local star. Go for the drinks and parties but steer clear of the food.

I never expect fine dining at beach dives but this place was terrible from start to finish! The 30 minute wait for a table was expected as we had a party of 6. The 65 minute wait for our food, however, was unacceptable especially as we watched the tables around us receive their food, eat it and leave. Once the food arrived, the burgers were overlooked and two pizzas were missing - those took another 10 minutes. We asked for more ketchup and was told that he couldn't find any.

Based on the food, high prices and service, I would give Sailor's Grill a 2/5....but the location and beautiful view brings it to a 3. Our server was nice enough, but she seemed quite apathetic and not liking her job. We ordered a couple burgers and some fish and chips. The burgers were tasteless and the fish and chips were mediocre at best. We were surprised the check was so expensive at the end given what we ordered. We will pass on this place next time we are out that way.

Nice little spot for a quick breakfast or lunch. I had a good fish sandwich. My kids loved being able to run down onto the beach while we were sitting on the deck waiting for our food.
