Came across this place last week. The food and atmosphere is awesome! Naples needed a place like this! I stopped in for lunch and brought my wife and kids back that night for dinner. The queso is really good, and you have to try the signature taco, its incredible.

Food is amazing, everything is so fresh. The atmosphere is awesome, and the service is outstanding. Good place to hangout for awhile or just grab a quick bite to eat. Chill during the day, but lively at night. Live music only adds to the experience.

Worthy... Ryan and Nick at the bar have been receptive and helpful. We all have bad days and they have an attitude that erased that. Right away we started with the house margaritas. Not crazy about the blue salt, but when in Rome.... Do what the Mexicans do. They were strong and served in Bell mason jars. It was a premix mostly but it is worth the two-fer Tuesday or Sunday. Otherwise just get a hand mix. Pricy but good. The chips and salsa arrived... We LOVED them! They were light with that occasional freaky "Over oiled" one in the batch. Salted to perfection and the salsa... EXCELLENT!!! It adhered to the chip. Yes some folks want chunky... But for free chips, I don't expect that... I will pay for a chunky salsa... This had a good balance and the cilantro popped out well. We started with the Rellenos that are Shiner Bock beer battered jalapenos stuffed with jack and cotija cheeses with a chipotle sauce and here is the best part... a ranch and lime sauce with chopped cilantro. This was AWESOME!!! My wife licked out the cup. I wandered around and discovered the place to be casual and down to earth, comfy. the restaurant filled quickly as dinner approached and the reservation phones began to ring. I was glad we were at the bar as our usual as the rush began and the entrees arrived. The doors are wide open and a breeze prevails as we all delight in Naples. I always ask... "What do you like most that will make me come back?" Ryan strongly suggested the chorizo spicy sausage taco and he said the flavors are huge... Sold! I am not a huge fan of big spice... But this was all that... Wow. We both had the signature taco with crispy fried chicken and we had thumbs up. On the Yogi taco section, my wife opted for the "OM" taco with scrambled eggs and the classic cheese and spices... Now my wife wants me to make this on Sunday mornings....Sigh... It was so damn good! The al pastor with spit roast pork and pineapple was moist and juicy the way I like and the camorones were grilled just right on the taco that was so memorable... Great live music like The Wholetones will be here on some weekends along with entertaining size TVs for your sports... Publix will open soon and this place will be reservation only soon. It's a keeper. Oh yeah... If you like a food challenge. 6 LB burrito for $25 and if completed in 45 mins, you get a t shirt and hall of fame notoriety. The only negative... Price adjust the premium tequila and you will move much more. And I will love to see a signature drink night that will keep the locals happy to drink the drinks that they love and enjoy the food that it deserves to be complimented to.

We stopped for a bite to eat on our way home and were thrilled to find this place! Alex, at the door, and our waiter, Jimmy couldn't have been friendlier! We were seated very quickly and were able to enjoy the Dolphin's game while we enjoyed the warm tortilla chips and fresh salsa! We also had the queso and guacamole.....also delicious! Within our party, we had the Mom's Taco, Pollo Hard Shell taco, Carnitas Taco, Philly Taco, and California Taco; all of us loved our food! We will be back soon! Next on the list, Sangria and Margaritas!

Salsa was to die for, very fresh, could have been a little spicier but this way I didn't suck down my margarita. Service was wonderful. Now I know Billy and Nick that work there have to make the experience even better. Food was wonderful, came in starving, left stuffed and satisfied. We were there around 3pm so no lunch or dinner crowd. Waitress took a pic of us near the snowman propped out front, that was special.

Horrible!!!!!!! Worst tacos ever!!!!! I make better drinks in my kitchen as well!!!!!authentic?look around people .....theres no mexicans!!!!u gotta pound about 50 dollars in booze for the food to taste right!!!!! I guess thats why they have such a huge tequila selection. ....they should kill the cook , get some pool tables make it a bar.

My family tried this place for the first time recently and had a great meal. We tried a few different tacos and highly recommend the pastor. Enchiladas with the red sauce was great too. Tacos were a little on the expensive side but not a deal breaker. We will be back

If you want tacos, this is your place!!! It is by far the best taco restaurant in Naples. Very reasonably priced and good portion sizes - for the diet conscious, you can even convert any of their tacos into a salad which is equally as satisfying and filling as a traditional taco in a wrap. LOVE THIS PLACE!

  • Jennifer S.

best margaritas and queso dip. they are a must have when coming here. free chips and salsa. tacos are very good, not like regular taco places.

  • Richard P.

Veg-out tacos had a delicious and interesting flavor, though the amount of filling was a tad skimpy and there were no raw veggies served with them whatsoever. Tried the camarone taco because I was still hungry, and it too was flavorful but the amount of filling was also skimpy and the shrimp a tad overcooked. I ate at the bar and the service was fantastic and friendly, though nobody really seemed interested in feedback on the food even though they asked. In fact, I detected resentment for any sort of criticism. They may have been trained to ask, but they weren't trained to respond. The gratis nachos and salsa were plentiful but the flavor was on the blandy side. Four stars because it's a really nice place and had a great vibe. I want the food to be better though. This seems to be a common issue with few exceptions in Naples. I'll give it another try and update later.

My partner & I are seasonal here in Naples. Friends took us here our first day back. Now we dine here once a week! The staff is friendly, the chef is very accommodating (my girl is picky), so far everything I've tried has been yummy and the blood orange margaritas are to die for! I love this place and tell everyone about it!

Great new place for tacos and tequila! Tacos are seriously awesome. Great atmosphere. Cool place. And great margaritas!! Def coming back!!

  • Paige M.

Sooo happy with our two visits so far. All fresh ingredients put together in such creative ways. This is not for people seeking traditional tacos, but there are lots of other places to go in Naples for that!! I loved the fried chicken, mahi, and shrimp tacos I've tried.

  • Melba C.

This place is amazing! The chips and salsa are super fresh and tasty. My husband had the chicken fajitas and I tried the California taco. The staff was super friendly and prompt. Loved the decor and ambiance. Can't wait to go back!

Awesome Mexican food. Went there with the family for dinner. It is in the Publix shopping center and the whole complex is under construction. This place is a gem. The salsa is excellent and it has about 10 different tacos. My favorite is the Buffalo Chicken Taco.

  • Kirsten G.

Great new tex mex place in Naples with atmosphere. Too bad its already been discovered and can be quite busy. Great margaritas with 2 for 1 on Tues and Sunday. Love the California taco and the fried shrimp taco. The white queso is an endless bowl for only $5, and excellent chips.

  • Steve S.

great tacos! and my wife loved her serving of enchiladas only problem is they picked the time they are tearing down the Publix in the plaza..

    (4)
  • Brad E.

The margaritas were so strong that my wife couldn't finish them... So I did and couldn't drive home. The tacos were overpriced pieces of trash from chilis. Chips and salsa were great.

Great Place for Mexican food!! Ambiance is nice. Tables are nicely spaced. House Margaritas are great. Severed in a Ball's jar adds a southern touch!!. If you like salt on your rim I preferred my salt white not colored. The food was tasty, Service was great! Wait staff uses cellular device to take orders. Estella was our waitress and she was on top of everything!!! Definitely will go back!!!! If you have been looking for a Mexican place that has a fun ambiance, cleanliness, good food , professional wait staff and great margaritas this is the place to go!!!!

  • JD J.

I was truly impressed with this place. We made reservations for a group of 8 on Saturday. We arrived on time and they apologized because our table was not ready. I thought no big deal but the manager came over and bought all of us a round of drinks to enjoy while we waited. The gave us endless fresh chips with house made salsa. I had the pulled pork taco and the California taco - they were incredible. Everything is made fresh and the appearance of the food is month watering. The service was a little slow but the food made up for it. I can't wait to go back!

  • Mehreen H.

This is one of the best places I've found in Naples! The service was quick and the food was good. I didn't give five stars because the food is good, but not great. I'm from New York and like my Mexican food spicy and found it to be a bit bland. My friend tried the marshmallow margarita and loved it, but agreed the food was a bit bland. With lime and the table hot sauce though, it was better. I love that everyone got their own salsa and the portion size was good. The flan was DELICIOUS! Perfectly creamy, not gelatinous at all! It's one of the few places open relatively late with good food, cheap prices and quick service and I'd recommend it to anyone! Also, it may appear the waitress is on the phone, but apparently that's how they take your order!

    (3)
  • Sue W.

Food was great, prices cheap, and salsa was the best I've ever tasted!

  • Lee E.

Amazing selection of tacos. We had an excellent server named Louis who had a fun personality and took care of our table's every request. He also recommended the skinny organic margarita which was phenomenal!

  • Heather D.

Super fresh food with loads of variety so there is something for everyone. Buy one get one margaritas on Tuesdays. Cute atmosphere. Friendly service. Overall home run. Tacos about $3-4 each so very reasonable. Love that it's locally owned. Will definitely be back.

  • Nicole E.

Loved this place! I loved the outside seating. Our waiter was very laid back and cool. He fixed our table for us. I got the shrimp tacos and they were fabulous. The salsa here was amazing also! My friend and I got the Organic Skinny Margarita and we both enjoyed it thoroughly. The salt on the rim was different in a good way. The decor was very cool too! I would definitely go back! The only drawback is that the location was in a strip mall...I could see this restaurant being a huge hit in a more downtown area.

    (4)
  • Tara B.

Muy bien!! This place was so good! The atmosphere and food were great!! We ordered the chicken fajitas. Big portion size I shared them with my mom and were stuffed! We ordered a side of black beans as well and they were so yummy! We will definitely be back!

    (5)
  • Geri M.

While we so excited for Tacos and Tequila to open, only to visit and find the menu was very limited and way to pricey compared to the other more authentic Mexican places here in Naples. While we are huge fans of Aldo's we were so looking forward to the opening. Not any longer we will go elsewhere!!! $3.00 tacos are way out of bounds compared to other local more authentic places.

This place served a great meal to us tonight. The service was good too! We'll definitely return again.

Unbelievable tacos!!! Amazing food, mixed drinks and staff. Eclectic atmosphere with a chill vibe. A must visit in Naples for tex mex cuisine

  • Robin T.

The place is located in small strip mall. The place was hopping due to the World Cup. They offered a few specials. Two for one margaritas. Tasted like watered down lemonade. Not sure how they normally taste. I had poor boy shrimp taco which was very good. My daughter had two desserts which she raved about. The special tacos looked ok nothing special. I would try it again

    (3)
  • Pamela A.

Excellent tacos and salsa! We just ate jerk chicken tacos, Baja grilled fish tacos and chicken tacos. High quality and great fresh flavors. We will be back!

    (5)
  • Rick W.

The food is good the place is decorated nicely. BUT the service is horrible. You better have a long time to wait at your table to see your server. The table of 8 next to us had to go get their own condiments and drinks. They have some crazy order system off an iPhone that is meant to be more productive but really hinders the server either by typing it in or waiting for the slow server to catch up. We went twice during our stay but probably would try something else next time... to the owner can the order system!

    (2)
  • Heather T.

We have been here many times since it has opened even though we live on the other side of town. Every meal we have had was fantastic! The margaritas are great and tequila selection is even better! I was surprised I even loved the marshmallow margarita my friend ordered, even though I was hesitant to try it! Definitely a fun, locally owned place that we will be frequenting a lot!

    (5)
  • Tracey G.

Awesome service tonight. The pork and chicken burritos were very good. Salsa was delish and chips were warm and fresh. Organic Skinny margarita was suggested by our waiter and it was worth the $12 price. Will definitely come back!

I've been here plenty of times, but i gotta say today was ehhhhh service was bad. My waitress brought my food and 5m later my wife's food arrived... very dissapointing since i've had outstanding service here. If you decide to try Tacos and Tequila make sure you request Oscar his service is fantastic. I've basically tried everything from the menu and the food is "OK." What I do recommend from this place it's their Carne asada taco, carnitas taco and the Elote (roasted corn).

I'm so 50/50 on this place. I've only been once, and although I do feel it deserves a second chance, I might not make it there since I live in Ohio. The food is worthy of about 3 stars but the service is what made it drop to 2. Now here is where I'm going to talk about the service, because I can't possibly continue without touching base on this. We were seated at the bar for the evening (we generally prefer it.) The bartender whose name escapes me, a nice guy, on the younger side, short brown hair. He was doing his job and doing it pretty well. However, the other bartender was clearly not communicating with our bartender because he would consistently come up and ask us the same exact question that our bartender had just asked. Towards the end I was wondering if I was on a game show. About 40 minutes after we finished the appetizer, our tacos were finally dropped. And this is were it got interesting. There was one server in particular that made our evening go downhill. She is a shorter woman and the heavier side, dark brown hair. When she delivered our tacos and kept walking passed looking for the seat number I guess? We kept trying to wave her over... We finally caught her eye and she literally ROLLED HER EYES AT US. It was so strange. Maybe she was having a bad day? She sets down the first two tacos and names the two off, then she kind of throws the other three down and says "and a bunch of other stuff" and walked away. I'm sorry...but what just happened? Did we offend her in some way? I was a bit confused. Then later that night I overheard say she wanted to punch one of the other guy servers in the face. She sucked. The food, as I had said earlier really wasn't that bad. My boyfriend and I shared the corn on the cob to start. It was probably the best part of the whole meal! 2 whole ears of corn with a spicy chili crema and some cheese, it was amazing. If the corn was that good, the upcoming tacos we had ordered must be sensational! 40 minutes later when our tacos "rudely" arrived, they were just kind of thrown together and barely warm. One taco didn't even have a shell. Literally it was just taco filling on the plate. We ordered the camornes which was way over cooked and tough, the breakfast type taco with the omelet which was great, the baha taco which I ordered grilled and came fried, and 2 others that I can't necessarily recall. Overall there was a complete lack of attention to detail, communication and integrity. You guys should really think about who you're having represent your company. We went to El Rincon the night after and had a MUCH better time.

Had a visit where the jalapeño poppers were way over priced for five pieces and the filling for the tacos al pastore was spoiled. This place needs attention to details and to adjust pricing!

Found out today that this place was as awful as some of the other yelpers stated. A gentleman came in and sat down at the table next to us about ten minutes after we came in. His drink order was taken and delivered, along with chips and salsa, and we still had not given our drink order. When we were finally able to get the attention of our server {Matt} he complained that he had five tables to take care of. Everyone at those tables was almost done eating or had already placed their order. He got my husbands drink order wrong {iced tea} while I was almost moaning for something to drink. When we complained, he said he would someone else to wait on us. We were given another server and finally my beverage came along with some chips. We imagined things would get better, but they did not. The tacos came with dried up limes, translucent radishes on top and burnt dried up meat. This place has much work to do. We also heard servers not knowing table numbers and there were only six tables occupied. Management needs to hire some new servers and learn how to comp in such a sorry situation.

Go there 1-2 times a week since it's opened, always has great atmosphere. World Cup games always going this month. Tacos are alittle pricey but decent alcohol prices

After reading the Yelp reviews, my boyfriend and I were excited to enjoy "amazing" tacos while in vacation in Naples. To start, our service was excellent! We were seating at 5:15 PM without reservation or any wait. At the table we were delivered complimentary salsa that was very tasty. For an appetizer we started with the queso blanco. It was a great appetizer and a very large portion. There were only two of us and we weren't even able to get halfway through the bowl. Next I ordered the California and the baja taco. The tacos were in soft shells and filled so excessively that it was extremely hard to eat (think worse than very saucy chicken wings). The flavor on the California taco was great once you could get past how full it was. The baja taco was ok. There was a mayo based slaw that I would have expected to not be mayo based. It was very hard to get through the mayo portion bc of how much was on the taco that I found it very unpleasant. Overall the tacos have a lot of potential but I've definitely have had better al a cart tacos.

I have been here a few times and meant to write a review earlier. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and everything I have tried has been delicious, especially the nachos and the fries. You will not regret checking it out for yourself.

We have been there twice and both times have not met out satisfaction. Beans have a distinct taste of canned beans. Sauce on fish taco tasted like old mayonnaise. Their chips and Salsa are tasty. Beer is great.

Read the reviews and went here last night. Sunday night and it was busy. Service was great, margaritas were really good. We had 2 each and had a nice buzz because they were big. I don't normally like Mexican but the wife loves it and she loved this. I got short rib rice bowl special ....really good!!! Wifey got yummy shredded chicken burrito and loved it. Top Place, great service, decor and food.

Stopped by here in the way to Sarasota. Based on reviews we decided to go out of our way to try it. Overall a really neat and cool atmosphere with very good service. My wife had the Tacos which she found to be simply prepared and I had the Chicken Enchiladas which were pretty good. Unfortunately not the best I've ever had but still good. Brought our kids and they ate some of their food, but as kids go they are not strong eaters so can't gauge them. If they like the food usually leave little behind so on the observation they left about half then they sort of liked it. The house margaritas were all mix and barely any alcohol. I mean a sweet mix with nothing outside of that. I even had to ask if they were virgin drinks. So veer away from them if they make such a weak drink.

Baja Taco A la carte $5 each 1. Shiner Bock beer battered crispy fried mahi-mahi with jalapeño cilantro slaw and avocado crema in corn tortilla 2. Grilled (I requested blackened) mahi-mahi with jalapeño cilantro slaw and avocado crema on corn tortilla Review: Good portions. Full of taste. Nice crunchy slaw. Delicious both ways!

The South American Taco is seasoned perfectly. I have had it also as a rice bowl and can highly recommend both. Tonight I also had the Jerk Chicken taco which was delicious! The jerk sauce is spicy but the mint helps balance the flavors. The staff at Tacos & Tequila is always great! Tonight we had David E. - he was awesome, he knew the menu perfectly and described the specials excellently.

$5 individual tacos. Many margarita choices. Friendly bar area & family friendly dining area On this rainy summer day, the row of high top sidewalk tables were available. Two couples were there, under the covered walkway, with their leashed yet forbidding chihuahua. Perfect, atmospheric quick lunch.

I would give them 5 stars for their food, 2 stars for the strength of their drinks (or lack thereof), and 1 star for their customer service.

Drinks (when consistent) were good, not great. Food was pretty good. Only issue is that "tacos and tequilla", albeit a great combo, is a stale concept and there are people out there doing this equally as good for the same price or less in a restaurant or at home. The only real issue with the evening was our service. 6:00 sat down at table, ordered our first bite of food at 7:20 after 3 check ins with management (which handled it fairly well). Server was an amateur at best, and, incredibly rude! She had no business taking care of clients. 3 of the same margarita were ordered and all three came out different shades of pink ~ she then had the nerve to give a serious attitude when they were sent back, after the she said " I'm not sure what's wrong with them but here you go!" Bottom line ~ food good, drinks good, service no bueno ~ not a great value. I can serve myself at taco Ardiente or a food truck with an extra $30 in my pocket and be equally happy...overall a let down as I had the highest hopes.

Just finished a yummy dinner with my family at this spot! Very good service and creative Mexican meals. My husband and I loved the buffalo chicken taco! The special of the night -South American taco was also delicious. Girls enjoyed their quesadilla. A very unassuming spot with surprisingly great food!!

Nearly a year late on a review but we can't stop talking about how much we love this place when we come down to Naples! Amazingly tasty tacos from the simplest of ingredients to crazy combinations you wouldn't think to put together. Great drinks, friendly staff, and a perfect spot for after a day on the water. An absolute must go and definitely our first spot to hit up upon our arrival back to Naples in October! We can't wait!

Just went there for the third time. Enjoy that the first couple of times. This time was really disappointing. It was my birthday lunch courtesy of my nephew. Place was not that busy probably medium full waiter dropped waters off for them a beer for me food took quite a bit to get food. Waiter did not come around after dropping food into my nephew had the flag him down to get a beer. Upon delivery, dropped check on the table said will pick up whenever your ready never bothered to ask us ifwe wanted desserts. food was good but there are better Mexican places in town.- Will be a long time before I go back there if I do!

On a quest to confirm the truths of Tacos and Tequila Cantina, this sojourner found herself in quite a complex world. The wonderful surprise of this thing that's sweeping the nation - BOGO margarita drinks - set the stage for some serious chowing down. With a menu of tacos a la carte, led me to stumble across the huevos rancheros because we all know that fried eggs make every meal sexy. Just say it: "Huevos Rancherrros". Right? Order it with chorizo, and it'll be a wonderful Mexican smorgasbord of everything you expect to be in a Mexican dish. With a colorful casual atmosphere, they have great daylight peeking in to highlight all of the lovely textures and colors on the wall and furniture. The patio is where it's at. Although it looks out onto a parking lot, people walk by and wish they, too, could have what we have as they pick up their Chinese takeout. Some of my company did not have a great experience with their food because the tacos were a little on the dry side, but the Shiner Bock almost made up for it. The concept of a la carte tacos were not favored because adding a small portion of beans and rice tacked on another six bucks. My husband had the chile rellenos and I had some leftovers. Those were definitely spot on and super cheesy. I do have to say that the superstar of my meal were the elotes. Two ears of corn coated in a deep pop of flavor and cheese stole my heart. I would have just been happy with my two mango margaritas and two ears of corn and Tacos and Tequila Cantina would have come out a huge winner. All in all, I do have to say that this is a great addition to the King's Lake Plaza. Hopefully it gains a new kind of traffic and attraction to the east side of Naples. The jury's still not out on the chicken and fish tacos. But go for the margaritas!! I mean NOW! 23-2015

My mouth is watering just thinking about this place. Chips and salsa are perfection - light and crispy chips just the way I like them! I love that you can turn any of the tacos into a rice bowl. SO. GOOD. Great atmosphere. I'm from Nashville, TN where there is a cheap mexican restaurant on every corner. There's not that many in Naples, so I am thrilled to have found this place!

We have enjoyed going to taco and tequila's for couple of years and always had good service . yesterday we went for lunch waited 55 minutes , order wasn't either put in nor to : we left spoke to the manager on phone to share with him our frustrations. He seemed open to our concerns; however, we will see one if we go back be cautious about the service fair to good prices ; however, have increased noticeably since the season began this trip : one star out of five!!!!

The first thing they offer is the over priced guacamole.Tacos don't taste even close to the real thing. They use some very cheap meat. My wife could not finish. For 3.75 the meat quality is HORRIBLE!

My husband and I loved this place. It is very close to his work and was our favorite place to meet for lunch. It seems like recently (over the last 8 months) the service has gotten slower and slower to the point now that we can't even go to lunch here because we don't know how long it will take. I understand it taking a little longer sometimes but an hour and a half for a two course lunch (one course being guacamole) is crazy. The staff also seems to care less and less. We never get refills in drinks and it always takes a surprising amount of time to get noticed at all. Last time our guacamole even came before we got chips and salsa (which didn't come till a good 5 minutes after the guacamole). It's a shame because we love the food. Maybe we will try again in a few months. Please people get this fixed!

Really nice place and location! Everything was going great until we had our first bite of food. My wife had elote (corn) which was good but not great. Tortilla soup was very bland, needed more seasonings. We ordered taco as our entrée. The concept of the taco was great but the overall quality and flavor were horrible! The meats were really dry didn't have any taste. The salas were too puree and again didn't have any flavor. Overall this is a nice place to hangout and have drinks not for food!

Tacos & Tequila is ok but not the best Mexican food in town. I like the atmosphere...they have cool lanterns and painted skulls everywhere. There is outdoor seating but it's been too hot lately to sit outside. The food is usually pretty good. You get warm chips and salsa to start. I've ordered the guac or queso for the chips (extra) and they're really good. They have entrees and combos, or you can order individual tacos to mix and match at very reasonable prices. Yesterday I had two California tacos and they were great. The house margaritas are a little weak for my taste, but the specialty drinks are pretty good (but almost double the price). You get what you pay for. Love the cucumberita or the blood orange marg. Two for one house margs on Tuesdays & Sundays all day. I need to remember to come for a taco tuesday. It can get pretty busy and service has always been a little slow in my experience.

We just had our first meal here. The food was good, but was over priced for what we ordered. The tacos start at $3.75 each ($3.75 is just a basic small taco) and do not come with any sides. My 12 year old ordered one "mom's taco" and one pancake taco. My husband and I each ordered the burrito entree. The burrito entrees were $12 each and were standard size portions. My husband was not full after he finished his meal. My daughter's "mom" taco came out with our food but they forgot her pancake taco. We told the food runner it was missing and then our server. We were completely finished eating by the time her second taco came out. I think they were having kitchen problems because the food service was slow. Our server was friendly and nice and the atmosphere was good but we won't drive 8 miles to go there again when we have other Mexican restaurants close by.

I was very pleased with my first visit to this establishment! I had the carnitas and backyard taco with rice! Both tacos had a very delicious taste! Very happy with my choices. The rice was also very good. Will definitely be back!

We ordered guacamole to start off. It was missing something. Garlic, I think. It was ok, but that's about it. The salsa gratis was good, but it was the watery variety. Tasty, but made in a blender. When we sat down, a couple of us ordered waters. 30 minutes later, and reminding the waiter FOUR TIMES, we still had no water. It took a FIFTH reminder and a snarl to get friggin' water. My burrito was much smaller than I expected. It was good, and turned out to be just the right size. Either that or I had already filled up on guacamole and salsa. Actually, I KNOW I had already filled up on guacamole and salsa because it took the food sooooo long to reach the table. The restaurant wasn't even busy. My margarita was weak, to say the least. It was from a mix, and I couldn't detect any alcohol at all. Slow, poor, service, so-so food, and weak drinks mean I won't be back.

I believe I was spoiled by the incredible Tex-Mex food in Dallas & Austin, and the Fresh-Mex revolution in Southern California. I admire the creativity of the taco choices they offer but in the end the sauces & spices drenched inside tortillas overpowered everything. Might be the worst margarita I've ever had. Imagine Applebee's and On The Border Mexican Grill birthed a restaurant child...Tacos and Tequila Canita would be the result. If that sounds appetizing to you then great! But to me it's like that airport food you don't really want to eat but don't have many other choices.

Went there for the first time the other night out of season. They were busy. Hostess didn't know what to do when I said a party of 10 people. When she found the manager or owner she initially made a weird face at me and so "oh" when I said I was the adult. I'm not young by any means. That was the first strike. So then they talked amongst themselves. Then they said they could seat us in an hour to an hour and a half but at different tables throughout the restaurant. And they couldn't guarantee that we would be seated by that time. They said because they had numerous reservations. So we left. Strike 2. Business caters to reservations. Maybe we'll try again but I guess we'll be making a reservation if we do.

Ordered their special margarita (watermelon) with no salt. Waited 10 min for big blonde bartender to make it. Was delivered with salt. Politely told my waiter that I asked for it with no salt. He apologized and took it away. I then watched the blonde bartender take it and pour it into another margarita glass. And it was then delivered back to me. The waiter knew I just witnessed this...I told him I was sending it back if I tasted too much salt in it. It wasn't bad, but it had salt in it! I was afraid of sending it back again or bringing it up to the bar myself and asking her why she felt it was unnecessary to make me a new one without salt on it or in it, for fear she'd spit in it this time! If I'm spending $13 for a margarita, it should've been remade, not dumped into another glass!! The tacos on the other hand were fantastic!! The bartender was awful and dumpy looking! Need to refresh your bar staff! Or re-train them!!

For one, this is not authentic Mexican food or tacos. The location is not my favorite but the place has a nice atmosphere, I loved the outside seating. The server came right away once my boyfriend and I were seated, but after I ordered the food for the both of us the waiter decided it was appropriate to unjokingly state that I shouldn't be ordering all that food for myself. Wow. Salsa and chips were great, but again, the food is not authentic Mexican, and is bland by comparison. They also brought my boyfriend his water before they brought out our food but my margarita after we finished our meal. I will not be returning, but It's a nice place, don't get me wrong. The staff just needs to focus on the importance of details.

¡Es muy Bueno! Can't get enough of this place! Atmosphere is great...service is amazing(had our entre on our table 8 minutes after we ordered...!!!! Had the baja taco along with chorizo taco...unreal. And you have to try the blood orange margarita!! 10/10! We'll be back for sure!

My friends and I ventured out this week for Mexican food and were not disappointed. The restaurant is a small "hole in the wall" that doesn't look like much and the menu is somewhat limited however what it lacks in atmosphere is more than made up for in the taste of the food. The ingredients are extremely fresh and the food quality is similar to what you would find in a high end restaurant and the prices are amazing. I had shrimp tacos and shrimp quesadilla and both were cooked to perfection, my friends had the pork tacos and loved them as well. Add in Coronas and Mexican beer and we were all happy campers! We will definitely be back again and again!

I wish I could give this restaurant 6 stars. Nicole, our server, was amazing. She made the whole experience an awesome one. Nicole was friendly and attentive while maintaining her section perfectly. She had humor and professionalism. Our guacamole was very tasty and the full size was more than the 2 of us could eat! We shared a few tacos which were delicious as well. All in all, we couldn't recommend this place more. Not many restaurant deserve a raving review, but this one does. Ask for Nicole, she'll knock your socks off with awesome service and a great smile!

If I could give zero stars I would. If I could give negative 5 I would. We are sitting here on a Sunday night with a party of six and have waited over two-hours to get our food. Ooh, just got the food, order is hosed, food is shyte. Big mistake...

2 for 1 margaritas on tuesdays... yes please!! My girlfriend and i have a place like this in New York that we love so this was a home away from home! They had an interesting variety of tacos that were a bit on the small side, but for $3.75 I'd say they're not half bad!

Great tacos! What I did not rate on was the lack of a changing table in the men's restroom and the very nice one in the women's. Am I to assume management thinks it's only a women's job to take care of the baby or that they'd like the men to change dirty diapers at the table?

    (4)
  • Kate F.

Definitely as good as it gets, when it comes to Tacos! Vegetarian taco and the Smashed Potato (yes, you heard it right) were delicious. The Mexican corn was nice and spicy, lots of flavor. My husband really enjoyed the shrimp tacos. Also, I love how they serve a mason jar full of salsa, with individual ramekins each person can use individually--double dip away!! Try it, you'll like it

Love the food and drinks at Tacos and Tequila! Great atmosphere and the owners are super friendly! We have been there at least a dozen times and have always had a great experience. This is definitely the place to visit when you are in the mood for some tacos ... or a burrito ... or a lot of tequila!!

This place is simply great. It's not trying to be anything but a fun great restaurant and it hits the mark. I've read and heard around town it's american mexican food and it's very very good. For example they have a grandma taco which is on a hard shell. It's nice to eat that once in a while. There are plenty of AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurants here in Naples. The best ones you'd be best served if you spoke a fair about of spanish. T&T is a nice break to just go eat easy mex food with great drinks in a non pretentious atmosphere. I've been there about 6 times and all great experiences. I highly reccomend this place!

Nice atmosphere. Half of the staff is inept, which must be very frustrating for the competent and excellent staff. Sometimes there's a long wait to sit, eat, and cash out-- depending on the staff scheduled. Air conditioning is great, as well is the various seating options. Food is choice. Excellent work in the kitchen. Still, the arrogance hurts the environment.

Based on a few recommendations from family and friends, and being just a 10 minute bike ride from my house, I decided to trek on over here for lunch today. Wow, was it totally worth it, and I fear it'll become one of my new local faves for many reasons. Firstly, the location is great. T & T's are tucked into King's Lake plaza, sandwiched between many thriving businesses such as Starbuck's and the newly renovated Publix. There are people constantly coming in and out of this plaza, so it has a steady stream of customers it seems. At least while I hung out for lunch, they had quite a few turnovers at tables and definitely at the bar. Secondly, Ashley behind the bar was fantastic. She was friendly, attentive to the customers and very knowledgeable of the menu. Also, she offered up suggestions from the menu including a few of her favorite items which helped make the amount of time I took looking over the menu much shorter. She kept my iced tea full the entire visit, brought out a basket of homemade chips and salsa which were incredibly delicious! Additionally, the menu wasn't overly large, however the selections were enough to please just about anybody. You can combine certain items with others, as one gentleman did with throwing the carnitas onto a salad. Plus, I avoid flour tortillas for dietary purposes, and it was great they had a selection of soft and hard corn tortillas for any taco on the menu! Ashley suggested the California, Backyard and T & T tacos, and I was thankful she did. I settled in on the California for it's grilled and highly flavorful chicken, topped with lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, bacon and a super yummy sauce. The thing was so huge, I had to blueprint my attack! I could've and should've ordered 2 of those, it was so good. I also tried the Philly Cheese Steak taco. It was good, but definitely not as good as the California. Finally, they have a nice selection of bottled and draft beers as well as a nice drink menu and live music from time to time. Lots of seating inside, and 4 or 5 four top tables outside, which are dog friendly. This place is a slam dunk and will be back very soon. Great job.

I'm a very tough judge & this place gets 5 stars. The food was great, the service was perfect & the price was fair. Complementary salsa and chips, is always a favorite of mine. I ordered guacamole as an additional appetizer, a little on the small size from what I'm used to, but just enough. My brother and father order the fajitas (I will attach a picture) it was huge and cooked just right! Worth every penny. My mother and I ordered quesadillas. Cooked perfect & once again huge. The coconut martini was delish, a little weak for what I'm used to, but no complaints. The service was just as good as the food, I think her name was MaryLouise. She was friendly, helpful and on point with the drinks. I will most def will try and come back again before I leave Florida!

Visited this place on Cinco De Mayo because I am a New Yorker who loves a good fake holiday. I've never experienced such apathy when trying to make a reservation at a restaurant. The hostess literally quoted "45 minutes to 2 hours" for the wait and bartenders were basically extras from A Weekend at Bernie's that paid no attention to those trying to order a drink at the bar. That said, I was pleased with my order - the tacos, corn, and guacamole were pretty good, but it didn't make up for the dismal treatment. Being busy is never a good excuse for a poor service!

YUM! Tacos & Tequila was a great find while we were visiting Naples. Their margs were delish and the tacos were awesome too - my fave was the cheeseburger taco. It tasted exactly like a McDonald's cheeseburger, haha. We would definitely go back when we're in Naples again!

Great atmosphere and super friendly service. Fresh salsa arrived right away with warm chips Had a great drink selection. Our server was very nice but it was really really annoying that she was either sending our order from her phone on an app or was taking notes on her phone vs writing it on a note pad. It bothered our entire table. Even the kids who we thought might not think it was a big deal thought it was odd. The food all arrived hot and fresh in cool containers. We were all extremely happy with our meals and will definitely be back.

While vacationing in Naples, my friend found tacos and Tequila Cantina on Yelp and wanted to give it a try. After going to the beach and walking around downtown Naples we drove out to Tacos and Tequila. We were slightly disappointed with the location, since it is in a strip mall but the food and friendly staff sure made up for it. We were greeted by two friendly servers, one that I believe may have been a manager helping out the waitstaff that afternoon. They were more than accommodating and checked on us plenty of times. The salsa was fresh, and homemade and had a great kick to it. They had a list of specials on a blackboard, which is where we found the organic skinny margaritas. They were delicious and strong! Since they were only made with organic tequila, lime juice and agave (and obviously ice) there was a lot more room to taste the booze as apposed to the typical margaritas you get a restaurants with a ton of nasty sour mix in them. I had the enchiladas with the spicier red sauce. It was just a little bit spicy, cooked and served in the cast iron skillet kept my meal hot the entire time I was eating it. I will definitly be back on my next trip to Naples.

  • Eric J.

Don't waste your time - poorly managed and a terrible wait time. It's in a strip mall and with a minimal wait list it was going to be 45 minutes for a party of 5. Not sure how you don't move your tables more efficiently than this.

Yum! Great quality meat, hefty toppings, and good sauces on the tacos. Creative, fun menu. The chips and salsa were satisfying as well - thick, crunchy chips and salsa that made us say, "Mmmm." The atmosphere was fun - lots of flat screen TVs and Mexican flare. Service was fast and friendly. The best part was the value. 6 good quality tacos for $30. Can't beat that.

Stopped late Sunday evening glad they are open till 11, not common in Naples! Food was great as usual but service not so much! No silverware, one bar napkin too use with my dripping corn. Few callbacks, felt like I was an inconvenience

After reading the reviews on yelp, we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The chips and salsa were so fresh and tasty, plus, they give everyone at the table their own bowl of salsa! The menu has a variety of unique tacos as well as items you would find at other Mexican restaurants. The sauces are made fresh, which did not go unnoticed. I loved the option to turn any taco into a bowl or salad. The cilantro lime dressing is amazing as is the avocado crema. My husband had the carne asada and baja tacos. He said both were great. We will definitely return!!

My dad and I ate there and I have to say the inside decor is pretty cool. I had a buffalo chicken taco which was good and spicy and I had a Philly taco that wasn't bad either my dad had two soft shell tacos that were good and the margaritas and the mason jars were a nice touch and tasted pretty good. we also got the churros for dessert which were tasty. my son got a kids meal that even came in a frisbee so it was like a toy to take home. Major plus he loved that.

Our first time at this establishment was a very nice surprise. Our server's name was Matt and he was very attentive and had a great sense of humor and had a very good recommendation for first timers. We told him we didn't do carbs and he recommended we make the tacos into salads and they were wonderful. Lots of great flavors and the salsa was the best we've ever tasted. The place was crowded, but that gives me a sign that it is a well liked establishment. I don't like to wait long either, just like you, but it was worth it. We only waited about 10 minutes. I say give the place a try and form your own opinion. We will definitely go back again, very soon.

I just got into town and I am starving, I jumped onto yelp to find a close place to eat at 10:20pm on Sunday 11/30/14 . I found this place and decided to call and make sure their kitchen was still open. I asked the young lady who answered "what time their kitchen closed". She answered 11pm, somewhat rudely and annoyed but I blew it off. I then asked "how late they were open" she again ruddy snapped 11pm. I politely clarified because I wanted to know when they stopped serving food and then how late they closed. I wanted to have dinner and a few beers without being shoed out the door as several places around here area are open until 2am on Sundays. She was like a broken record huffing 11pm again as if it was the only phrase in her vocabulary and she was late for prom. I could barely finish the phrase ok thanks before she hung up the phone. This place may be great but I will never know as I took a pass based solely on the rudeness of the young lady answering the phone. I wasn't going to waste my time or money finding out if this was a systemic issue with their staff and service.

The specialty tacos were pretty good, but somehow they managed to mess up the basics. Not sure if the cheap well tequila numbed the taste buds of all the other reviewers, but for my money I'll head to taqueria San Julian dos! Or super taco truck. Pass on this place.

  • Jason O.

Food is great, tacos are a la carte, big portions, 2 or 3 tacos is plenty of food. Service slow at times, but overall great atmosphere and one of the best places for Mexican inspired cuisine in Naples. No happy hour which is odd for a restaurant in this tier. Good margaritas tho, the T and T is good, their house tequila is Juarez which should only be allowed in college towns, not behind a bar in Naples.

I had a signature taco and a po boy taco; both were amazing. My friend ordered the camorones and it arrived with missing ingredients. She said it was "kind of boring." The margaritas were 2 for 1 (although I was charged for them all). They were subpar but not too bad either. The service was horrible. Our sever was Nicola. We waited about 10 minutes for her to come to our table. Then she asked for our orders without giving us menus first. We waited about another 5 minutes for our bill and it wasn't even right. I didn't complain about it because I didn't want to wait even longer. Overall, I'll be back as the food was great but I'll be sure I don't have the same server.

We've been here twice in the last week. Too excited to try all the different tacos. And all have been unique with their own flavors. Nice twist on Mexican foods and a fun atmosphere. If your up for a challenge they have a 6lb burrito to eat in 45 minutes. CRAZY!!! :)

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.
