My friends and I are not from Naples and had a hankering for sushi. This place was recommended by everyone we asked, so we decided to give it a shot despite the fact that it only had a 3.5 star rating (I'm a bit of a 4-5 star snob, especially when traveling). This place was great. Not the best sushi I have ever had, but it exceeded my expectations. Pretty decent $30 bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. ORDER the tuna yu-ki. Everyone at the table said it was one of the best sushi dishes they have had in a long time. The shumai left something to be desired. Bland and not hot, barely warm. Miso soup is miso soup. The spicy tuna roll is not a spicy mayo, the drizzle a mild kimchi sauce on top. Different, but not bad, just not what I was expecting. We ordered some sort of shrimp tempura, avocado roll, that has a side of delicious rock shrimp tempura like thing similar to Nobu, but obviously not Nobu quality. I can't remember the name, but I definitely recommend it. It was the third item on the special sushi roll menu. The service was meh, but that is par for the course at 90% of the sushi joints I have been to, so it's not a game killer. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a casual sushi night.

Pretty place, great escolar. I have never found better escolar, buttery and smooth. They have beautiful fish tanks and a quaint little bar that is nice. Nice decor. Definitely a great date location.

Lunch was reasonably priced, fast, and delicious. The menu is extremely versatile with plenty of both Thai and Japanese dishes.

I've been to the other Sushi Thai's around town, but this was the first time I've been to this location for dinner. We were a party of 6 and had reservations at 7. The service was rude right from the beginning. When we checked in with the hostess/server, we were told to immediately move to the side because we were in the worker's way and they'll get back to us in a few minutes. Ugh. After being seated, it took about 35 minutes to get a server. I understand it's season and it's busy, but the fact that no one even acknowledged us was ridiculous. The food was ok. We had a plethora of things including some rolls, sashimi, curry, and pad thai. I found the pad thai noodles to be over cooked and a bit mushy. During and after our dinner, the service never improved. Every time we needed something it was a mission to track down a server to then tell our server. I'd avoid this location and go to either the one on Airport or Naples Park.

Boy, is the red curry delicious! May want to order extra rice to make sure you don't waste any sauce-it's soooo good. Super place for lunch which includes soup and a little appetizer. Great value.

Sushi Thai Too was really great, but I had to deduct a star because of the shady waitress. My husband paid for our meal with cash, and the waitress either thought he was tipping her 40% or she was trying to see if we would just get tired of waiting for our change and leave. We asked for the change twice and waited over half an hour for our money. If I had been the one paying, I would have left little to no tip after that stunt. Now with that said... The food was really good. I had the massaman curry and it was fantastic. The portions are pretty generous and the service was pretty good- until the end.

This incredible location in a high-traffic tourist zone, downtown Naples, was a huge disappointment. The restaurant was spotless and clean and the staff was very pleasant - however - the sushi was terrible. The Eel was dry and chewy and I've never been served murky gray "tuna" before. My counterpart had a mediocre thai dish that tasted like it had been frozen. The Mojito tasted like it was missing the alcohol... and I'm a lightweight! I should have known better than to walk into a tourist trap.

Went with a large party. The interior of the place is actually really nicely designed. We ordered a sushi boat for 2 and it was pretty impressive! Their Tom Kah soup was a little too rich and lacked enough lime flavor. We ordered red and green curries; both were delicious, huge portions but they gave us far too little rice. We went towards closing time for the restaurant and their service was a little iffy. Overall, decent restaurant with a great selection of various asian dishes. I would return just for their curry but really wish they had bubble tea!

Fish simply wasn't fresh. Bad news when I don't want to finish my Tekka Maki. I'll give a place a pass on Sunday if the fush is a bit old, but not on a Wednesday. Portions are definitely large and the Japanese ceviche was pretty good thanks to the heavy dose of lemon juice, but I won't be back.

We love this place. We are sushi lovers and having lived in Seattle feel we know a little about what makes it good. The chefs here are artists and certainly know how to select good quality fish.

Very good food. They do not have a full bar as advertised on yelp. They do have sake, wine and beer.

Best sushi in Naples! The Snow White roll is my favorite and a must when in Naples. Big enough to share, but Ill ear it all by myself. This is a little cozy place. The staff is very friendly.

Went with a friend and had their summer special.. appetizer, entree, dessert and a bottle of wine for $don't remember but it was a great deal. The wine was surprisingly tasty for an all-included deal. What was really amazing was the sashimi entree. Absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. An ample portion. I'm not used to taking left-overs home and I had sashimi for a great lunch the next day AND it was still fresh and delicious the next day. My friend had a chicken curry that was also delicious and a good portion that we ended up taking some home. Service was good, and I will DEFINITELY go back. Loved the concept and loved the sashimi and dessert.

This restaurant was just as I had expected it to be from reviews I had read. The service was slow but the food was really good. We each had some if the House specialties and they were delish! Go prepared for slow service and enjoy the food.

This is a tourist trap in every sense of the word. The food and drink is marked up beyond what any reasonable individual would pay. The food was actually this high point for this place but where it falls apart is the crowd that forms inside of it as the night goes on. The service is awful and you should not expect to see your server more than twice as they have no time for you. The employees will rush you out as soon as they can once you've put down your fork. Would not come back. Ever.

Soooo good! Service was excellent....had sashami mori and it was enough for 2 people!!! I could not eat it all!!! Wife had vegetarian dish and she said it had great flavor. Would definitely go back. P.s., they initially sat us inside and I had noticed outdoor seating. I asked for outdoor and it was a completely different ambience!!! Weather permitting, sit outside!!!

When I return to Naples, this will be one of the first places on my dining list. I totally enjoyed my experience and my food. I've posted some pictures of my delicious food. I thought the food was TASTY and FLAVORFUL, thoughtfully prepared, and presented well. The staff worked as a team to make sure that our service was excellent!

Truly Awful experience. Do not eat here. Go some where else. The food was just barely average. Drinks were Watered down. Service......meh. place is cluttered and disjointed feeling. Its a resturaunt that used to be great, but is on the steady slow decline. My wife was washing her hands in the bathroom and the soap dispenser shot soap directly into her eye. Life threatening.. no. Painful.....yes. Mediocre dinner ruining....yes. Our evening came to a screeching halt. No compensation by the manager. Not none cent taken off the Bill ....the only thing she got was a half hearted gee sorry. The wet napkin she had against her red swollen eye... yea they asked for it back....wow way to stay classy. This place stinks. We wish we would have checked yelp before we went.

I used to live off tom yum soup and thai basil sauce in grad school from one of their other locations up in north naples....but man this place/service during a low key saturday was seriously slacking. thai basil lunch special was small and served with damn yellow rice, are you serious? the service was seriously inconsistent, either nonstop in your face and then disappear for 20+ minutes. perhaps my first sign to run was the skank ass smell walking in the door. won't be back here next time I'm on the west coast of Florida.

We had a party of 7, so we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. We all parked in the parking garage which took a bit to find parking. We went to the bar to wait for our table. The bartender seemed annoyed even before she waited on us. I am not sure how long it took for our table. Our waiter seemed to be all over the place. He took some of our drink orders, then left, and came back to take the rest. We order appetizers and entrees all at the same time. It took about 30 minutes for the appetizers to come out. After we were finished, it took a while for them to clear the plates. It seems like another 30 minutes or so after we were finished our appetizers before our meals came. The waiter didn't stop back between to see how we were doing, or if we needed more drinks. When our food came, I had one roll that wasn't right. The waiter said he would fix it, and about 20 minutes later, he came with the roll. When it came to the bill, he offered to split it up, so we said ok. He gave one couple a separate bill, and gave the other 5 people one bill. It was a bit weird. Overall the food was good, but the subpar service would make me try another place.

The original and for Naples, some of the best. Although the lobster roll duo is probably my favorite splurge I've eaten in and my family has ordered delivery from here so many times over the years I think I've had everything on the menu. I think the fresh sushi definitely outshines a lot of the Thai (which is not bad, just sometimes a little boring), but the only thing I actually remember regretting was a delivery of the aged tofu appetizer... does not travel well. Top sushi orders would be the beauty and the beast, sakesu, katsu, and jb tempura, and the combination fried rice and the pad see ew would be Thai favorites, and I've had luck with their curries as well. Tempura is always crispy and light, and the teriyaki chicken is 5stars in many of my family members' eyes. They'll also deliver awesome sushi boats for parties, I don't know how expansive their catering is, but the huge boat always goes over really well. But the service staff is always great and the fish is always fresh. (and though it's been a while they used to carry sparking sake)

Don't be fooled by the strip mall location the sushi is fresh and there are many creative rolls on the menu. The hamachi with jalapeño was excellent although some might find it a little over sauced. Bottom line if you are in the mood for a crisp green salad with ginger dressing, a few rolls and some sushi you can't go wrong. We did not venture to the Thai side of the menu but looked promising.

Rave reviews from our group. The service was speedy, polite and accommodating. The menu is vast, however, it is separated by cuisine. The sushi was amazing (shrimp tempura was fantastic). The curry dishes (panang and green) were perfect. The drunken noodles were average. All in all: well worth a visit!

A little disappointing given the rave reviews on here, given the crowd it seems likely I just caught them on an off night. Service and decor were very good which is impressive given how overflowing they were with customers. For our appetizer we had a great Japanese ceviche special with tuna. The cilantro, onions, conch, tuna, and octopus came together really well and it was just a great course. The miso soup that came with our meal was perfectly flavored but was luke warm at best. It definitely deserved to be hotter. For our entree we had a sashimi platter and a shrimp tempura roll topped with eel. The sashimi platter was served on shaved ice, which I don't like since I think it keeps the fish far too cold. For the price, it was a huge portion, like twenty pieces of sashimi, when ordering a la carte you could only get ten pieces for the same price. Unfortunately, it seemed like the fish ranged from not fresh, a little slimy and softer than it should be, to pretty gross for the white tuna, and I couldn't even stomach it. The roll seemed a little cold and soggy even when it first arrived, but was still pretty tasty considering the ingredients. For dessert we had the ice cream tempura, which was out in a flash, but a little soggy for my taste. Still delicious, but it can be done better. I'll give this restaurant another chance eventually, i hope it lives up to the hype next time.

I would give this place 5 stars only because they rotate the staff so the quality isn't always consistent. But this is by far my favorite out of the 3 locations.

Fresh and Delicious. This place has an interesting atmosphere they've packed a lot of personalty into such a small place and somehow it works. Doesn't really matter where you sit, because you always have a good seat. Plenty of things to catch your attention and a sushi bar if you don't want a booth or table. We ordered the Combination B platter and a bowl of coconut soup. Enough to nicely fill 2 people up. We also chose the salad vs. soup as a side. The salad is really good as it has some kind of slightly sweet cold curry dressing. I don't like curry, but this was so good I wanted to lick the plate. Before we left I just had to order one piece of Uni (sea urchin) I've never had it and besides eel it's the only thing I had left to try. This was really an interesting experience. For one thing it is freaking huge! (see the pic) and I think more than worth the $5.50 price. The first taste had a very light taste of the ocean, but it wasn't salty in the least. It kind of reminds me of a really buttery exotic pate'. You definately can't eat it in one bite it takes awhile to ride the taste, texture, and "what does this remind me of?" roller coaster. If you are even the slightest bit the queezy type I highly recommend you don't try it, but if you want to try something new and down right good, go for it! It's well worth it. We weren't in the mood for drinking tonight, but they do have happy hour drinks. We only ordered water with our meal, so it came to about $30 plus tip. Good deal for such a delicately tasty fresh seafood meal.

It's definitely a sushi bar. This little restaurant draws a crowd, and feels comfortable at the same time. The menu is Thai restaurant style. You pick your choice of meat --- chicken, beef, fish, tofu, etc. --- Then select a flavor --- Basil, garlic, ginger, etc. These menus look intimidating at first. It's repetitive with minor variations. Who eats this much.... The portion size is big enough to split with a friend or bring home for lunch the next day. The highlight that night was a birthday table behind us. If you really want to surprise someone, bring them here for their birthday :) Bottom line. The Food's good and you'll see me there again.

    I. Love. This. Place. I would come here every day if I could. The sushi is amazing. The Thai dishes are amazing. Basically, I want to live here.

    (5)
  • Tanuki H.

Sushi Thai is consistent in its food quality and service. I find that a good litmus test for Thai restaurants is to order the Pad Thai. I was not impressed; the noodles were clumpy and it was bland. I returned to give it a second chance and have been there many times since. My faves: Tom Kha soup and Massaman curry. The sushi here is average. It isn't the most authentic Thai/Japanese food but it passes and the menu is extensive enough for more selective patrons.

I went to Sushi Thai atleast once a week when I lived on Naples a few years ago. After countless meals, I can honesty say I've never had a bad experience, & my taste buds and me have always left happy & satisfied! There are 3 Sushi Thai's in Naples & Vanderbilt - my favorite is the one in Vanderbilt becase it's small and simple. The Sushi Thai on Fifth Avenue has sentimental meaning, as my husband and I would go there during our "courting" and sit in the back on the couches and eat our favorite rolls :) The other Sushi Thai (I believe it's on Airport) is great for parties, as it's large and has Long tables for big parties. Favorite rolls ~ JB Tempura and the Caliente Roll. Service ~ Have never had a complaint! In the voice of a Gremlin - YUM, YUM!!!

  • Emily M.

I visited Sushi Thai while on vacation. If I lived in Naples, I'd go every week! I ordered the edamame, ginger-dressing salad, and sashimi lunch plate. It was all very good. The sashimi was presented beautifully and I could tell it was fresh. The variety was what I wanted and there was plenty. I perceived it to be a good value. The staff was friendly and alert, and could answer my questions about the food. It's so good here.

    (5)
  • Kristen S.

The sushi was good, the panang veggie curry was really good. There were a few appetizers on the happy hour menu that were tasty but they were on the greasy side. Overall I would probably check out other places before heading back here.

  • E R.

Nice atmosphere. Nice staff. Nice martinis. Sushi not so nice. We have never left $40.00 of sushi after eating without taking it home. If you come for sushi, order the Sashimi Appetizer. It was great. The sushi and raw rolls were not.

Found this establishment on Yelp! SO glad we came. Pad Thai and Ginger Chicken as well as their Soft Spring Roll were all extremely fresh and tasty. Add this one to the places you need to visit when in Naples.

i have been here tons of times but only just had a bowl of udon recently!!!! it was so good. big fat chewy noodles with loads of veggies and your choice of chicken, sea food, or a side of shrimp tempura, i got shrimp. its served in a broth is called "tempura broth" and tastes just like the dippy stuff that comes on the side of a tempura app. i end up drinking that stuff anyways so finding a bowl of this life-giving (i have been sick and this is my new go to) broth on the menu gives me a whole new dinning experience at the sushi bar.

The Lab Gai (Kai on this menu) was excellent although it was missing the traditional lettuce leaves for wrapping and eating the Lab Gai. As a compromise, we ordered it medium ( normally, I would go for Thai hot, but my wife is not that big fan of heat) heat and that was surprisingly hot. Quite pleasant for me and almost too much for my wife. We had the whole crispy fish with basil sauce (ordered Hot). It came with a generous bed of sautéed vegetables ( red and green peppers, onions, green beans). The fish was excellent but the sauce was very under spiced ( I would call it Mild rather than Hot). The heat level here varies a lot ( from previous experiences as well) regardless of what level you order. Pad Thai and curries are the best bets on the Thai menu. This time we were seated across the court yard in what I would call the lounge. Tables and seats were more like a bar than a restaurant. The reef tank was a delight to observe. If you take children, ask to be seated near the tank. Service was attentive. If you want Thai in Naples, this is your only choice. The identity is mixed. You know right away the it is not truly Thai when you open your napkin and find a knife and fork instead of a knife and spoon.

I have been to many sushi places in my time and this one is quite good. The Thai food is great if your looking for something you have not tried before the staff is friendly to give you suggestions on what to eat. There is one american guy there who is very cool and told me I should try the Nam Tok Thai Appetizer. I was impressed with the fusion of flavors the dish delievered and also the heat!!! If your a fan of hot food I suggest you start with the medium because it's pretty hot. I was sweating and felt like a baby compared to the Thai people who worked there. I guess I will have to work my way up. The sushi is good as well. They got a happy hour for certain sushi rolls that are worth trying from 4-7pm. The only thing I wish they had was more squid and octopus on the menu. Other then that this is a well rounded nice place to go and relax. The prices aren't killing your wallet either.

This plce is just ok (plese excuse the broken "ey" button) I hve hd better sushi, definetly expected more out of costl city. Rolls re big though, nd good selection, so for tht I give it 3, otherwise, I would choose somewhere else

Always satisfied when we order from or eat in at Sushi Thai. This location is small, and often packed, but they're good at serving quickly and keeping up with extra requests. They also have been VERY accommodating when we called with a large party (10 people) late at night and wanted to have a full meal. Love the panang curry with fried tofu and for sushi, the spider roll, JB roll, kiss roll.

Food was great. Service was AWFUL. We ordered 1 appetiser and 3 of the speciality sushi rolls. They came out and told us they were out of the appetiser we ordered, so we ordered soup instead. And they ended up bringing out the soup and the appetiser and charging us for both. Then they told us they were out of cream cheese and we needed to order another roll, so we ordered another roll, but they ended up bringing us out an extra roll and charging us for it. So we got tons of extra food we didn't want and a very high bill, we tried to explain that we didn't want these items and tried to get them to take it off the bill for us, but our waitress hardly spoke any English. I'm not cheap by any means, and it wasn't about the money, but we ended up paying for A TON of food that we didn't even eat. The wait staff did NOTHING to try and fix the situation. Also, the appetiser came out in the middle of our meal and it took her over 20 minutes after we were done eating to bring us our bill. like I said, the food itself was delicious, but our experience, because of the service, was awful! I was also FREEZING the entire time, and I was wearing long sleeves. I will not be returning.

Great Thai - had red curry and pad thai. Also had some monster sushi rolls. Mexican roll and Caliente roll were delicious. Spicy tuna rolls had a weird sauce on them so I was disappointed as they are normally my favorite roll. I did not eat them. Ordered shumai and gyoza and tom yum soup for starters. All good. Sat at patio outside by waterfall and was very nice. Staff were nice and attentive. My advice is order small portion of sushi to make sure you like it, you can always order more. I would return for thai food, but probably try another place for sushi.

Delicious! Great vegan/vegetarian and gluten-free options, everything really fresh. I like the somewhat kitschy decor in the main location since it reminds me of little restaurants in Asia.

Don't go here for sushi. Had three rolls and all were forgettable, bland and not very fresh. Yuck. This is probably because of the Naples Identity Crisis - this place should just stick to Thai. With that said, their tom yum soup is ah-mazing. So spicy, so delicious. During our trip to Naples, we considered going back here just for the soup. Very nice decor, good location.

This is the number 3 restaurant on TripAdvisor. Not sure it's that level of quality, but it's OK. First of all, what's with the ridiculously huge menu. It's impossible to look through and figure out what you want. Does it really need to be that vast? We ended up getting the early bird special (don't judge me - it was 6 PM). It was actually a good deal. Bottle of wine, appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert for $35. The wine was what you would expect to be included in a deal like that. Not great, but drinkable. For our appetizer, we had steamed gyonza (pork-filled dumplings). Not too bad. My girlfriend had the shashimi entree. It was huge and I dug the presentation. The fish itself was OK. Most of them were a little chewy which kind of made me nervous since most of the shashimi I have had just kind of melt in your mouth. I had the pad thai. I had never had it before so I thought I'd give it a try. Pretty good. But I don't have anything to compare it to, so take it for what it's worth. Dessert was thai donuts. We purposely picked the smallest dessert because we actually had Randy's Fish Market key lime pie waiting for us (it's right around the corner). It was a decent meal and didn't blow our budget like many other restaurants in Naples do. Worth a shot.

I definitely don't agree with the other posted review, granted we didn't order much sushi and concentrated mostly on the thai food. I went here for lunch with my family after shopping on 5th Ave, and we had a really pleasant meal. The service was very attentive, my water glass was never more than half empty. We sat indoors due to high winds, and the decor was very nice. It definitely doesn't sport the same light and airy colors as some of Naples other beach side establishments, but it's the decor is appropriate for the type of restaurant it is. I ordered the chicken fried rice lunch which was under 8 dollars and come with an appetizer of thai chicken noodle soup and a single rangoon (surprise!). Unexpected fried, gooey cheese morsels? Sushi Thai Too, you know the way to my heart. The friend rice was also delicious and came in a very generous portion. The other meals purchased by my family include spicy pad thai, yellowtail sushi roll, and teriyaki chicken. All of the dishes were delicious, although the pad thai was definitely different than any I have ever tasted. Overall, I would definitely return to Sushi Thai Too. Great food, great service, and great prices.

New early bird special is one of the best deals in town. A bottle of wine, appatizers, 2 entrees and desert for 29.99. Sushi is still spot on, thai is decent to good if you never had amazing thai.

I will never return here. Me and my girlfriend stopped in here for lunch. Our sushi was not the freshest - it was discolored and lacked flavor. The portions exceeded expectations, but the food is more important - we didn't eat half of what we ordered since we just couldn't stomach any more. I ordered the sushi combo (miso soup + california roll + 7 pieces of sushi) at $11.95. My girlfriend ordered a combo of three rolls at a similar price. The portions were large enough that we could have shared one. The miso soup was not enjoyable. We were fortunate to get an outdoor table on the sidewalk - the inside of the restaurant was stuffy, dark, and even a bit smelly. The service was totally absent - we didn't get refills on our drinks. The check took forever to receive and process. It was one of those dining experiences where you look around at the others and all silently admit you've made a big mistake. Thai dishes averaged $8 at lunch and may have been a better choice (in general, I avoid places that server "sushi and thai"/"sushi and chinese", etc). Sushi snobs beware. You really have to dig deep to find a good restaurant in Naples - I have yet to find one in this area. The only reason I would come back here is if I was totally desperate, and then I would try the thai. Look elsewhere.

I enjoyed both sushi and thai food here quite a lot. The pad thai was not as spicy as I had hoped it would be (I got the spiciest they offer - "thai spicy"). Their spicy tuna roll was on par with sushi at this price range and their more expensive chef special sushi (can't remember the name of the roll I got) was particularly enjoyable. Contrary to some of the other reviews here we had excellent service, though English is obviously a second language for many of the employees.

Great rolls--we had a rainbow, a volcano, and a crunchy salmon roll. They were all delicious, and the service at the sushi bar was great too. All the fish was very fresh. Next time I'd like to try their Thai food.

we went here pretty late after our sunset cruise. i love how we could get both thai and japanese food, coz that's my top 2 fave cuisines (third is italian). but i actually stuck with the thai food coz i can't imagine eating sushi and tomyum soup... or sashimi and curry... :-P we loved the thai food, everything we ordered was great (curry, tomyum, spring rolls). my husband had japanese which he was satisfied with, so that solved the dining debate for the night. wish we had another night so i could try the japanese option.

Worst spicy tuna roll ever. For some reason they thought it is a good idea to put sweet chili sauce on it. They are not the only restaurant in Naples to make it this way. I'm not sure why. It was gross.

This place is somewhere that I would return to. I had the massaman curry chicken. It was fantastic although I wish it would've come out a little spicier. My boyfriend tried some sushi. The sushi presentation was beautiful! One of his sushi rolls had chicken as the main protein, which is something I've never seen before. the restaurant is rather large and as a huge bar and a few outside patio tables right on the street corner. Prices are decent are servings are generous. I disagree with some other reviews that stated service was lousy. I believe the staff was cordial; the bus boy gave us directions to some other shopping in the city and he was super polite. They have a happy hour and drinks looked tasty, although I didn't try anything.

Came here only because we drove to eat at Saigon Noodle only to discover that they are closed on Tuesday. The restaurant was packed. It appears as if everyone else that was seated had finished eating (checks on the table) but they just didn't want to get up. I don't know why. The restaurant is small and dark inside. The waiting area is very small. We waited 20 minutes as more and more people came in to wait. The door/hallway was blocked. They decided to open the other dining room and the everyone was seated. I was surprise at how fast the service considering they had to seat 6 tables at the same time with two of them being big paries. Anyway, I ordered the half cripy duck with spicy basil sauce. I ordered it hot but it came out medium which is okay because my friend was able to eat some too. The lab gai was only mediocre. I asked for spicy and it came out mild. My dining partner didn't enjoy his meal. Shrimp curry and spring roll.

Far from being a typical rice and noodle thai restaurant. Just remember, if you're a visitor and want a nice late evening dinner, make sure you reserve in advance. Not very ideal if you are pinching your pennies, but if you want to finish your evening on a nice romantic note or simply want to pamper your hungry belly, then this is the PLACE. We orderded the red curry chicken over white steamed rice and chicken pad thai and they were really spicy and mouth watery. Quantity is enough for even 2 persons. Red peppers, garlic, soy sauce and green onions abound, as does silky chicken and other tantalizing and varied accompaniments making for an out of the ordinary eating experience. And if you are in a raw mood, of course there are plenty of creative sushi combos specials that make for a quick and easy selection. Be sure not to miss the authentic house thai beer or wine!

This is one of my husband's and I's favorite restaurants to eat at. We both love Thai food and Sushi, so it is heaven to have them together. I LOVE their spicy tuna roll and the Tom Kha soup! The atmosphere is nice and the staff are friendly. Every time we visit Naples, we eat here.

OK, seriously, what is up with Naples and its need to offer various ethnic cuisines in the same location? I'll give you that Thai & Japanese food is a more harmonious pairing than Italian & sushi (huh? and also: yuck!), but still, it's ok for you to pick just one country and do the food from that region really well. Obviously I didn't have super high expectations going into this place, but the couple dining with us promised it was really good. Right off the bat I was impressed with how classy the decor was (I guess I was expecting some hole in the wall) that definitely had an Asian vibe to it. Sue me, but I like having a sense for what kind of food I'm going to get based on the ambiance and furnishing of a restaurant. I was pretty overwhelmed by the huge selection of items on the menu, and was also a bit disappointed to find that the Thai dishes are pretty much what you'd expect at any other Thai place, and the Japanese dishes didn't go much beyond tempura, teriyaki, various soups, or sushi. By far the sushi looked the most extensive and creative, so I probably should have gone with that but I didn't. Instead I got a Thai appetizer (Jumping Shrimp) and a Shrimp Tempura & Beef Teriyaki bento box. My husband got the Thai duck with sweet and sour sauce. I was really looking forward to the zesty Thai flavors in the shrimp dish, especially because it boasted lemongrass, but I really couldn't taste any of those fresh herbs at all. The majority of the dish was a really lame salad (iceberg lettuce, some zucchini, and celery) in a chili dressing; we ordered spicy, but it really wasn't hot at all. My bento box was pretty good, with the tempura being the real standout, though I admit that several of the accompanying veggies were undercooked (and also way too large to comfortably eat with chopsticks). My husband's duck dish was actually very tasty and may have been the winner of the night. I did think that the food was relatively pricey (should a bento box really be $20 when you get two pieces of shrimp and maybe 3 oz of beef?), but save for my bento box the portions otherwise were pretty generous. The food itself was pretty decent, certainly better than our last Thai outing in Naples, and the atmosphere definitely added to the experience. The waitstaff was also really friendly and on the ball, so I can't fault them there as others have done. I can't help but feel like most of the food is Asian food for people that don't really know better, but it was good if not spectacular.

You will definitely want a reservation if you come in the evening - particularly in the busy season (through Easter). We stuck with the sushi, basic salad, and soup - all were WONDERFUL. The miso soup was pretty straightforward, and (my only complaint) was that the Tom Yum was pretty spicy even though I asked for it to be on the mild/medium side. Still tasty, though! Our sashimi was some of the best I've had - all fantastically fresh and spot on. Even the salmon (and I usually don't like salmon). I tried one roll - the half and half (eel/tuna) and was equally impressed with the quality and taste.

Interesting combo of Thai and Sushi. Vegetable tempura...pretty good. Edamame...average. Red curry...tasty. I can only imagine it gets very busy at night, like everyone says, but for lunch it was very slow.

READ THIS FIRST: "There is no good sushi in Naples?" Well that is probably true, but the Sushi Thai in Naples Park is about the best there is in town. They have a good sized sushi bar with chefs that care and know a little more about the food than just what is on the menu. The place has neat atmosphere although a little beat up and they have a very nice saltwater fish tank that the kiddos love. They typically have hamachi-kama which is the collar or around the neck and fin area of the yellowtail. It is super rich and tasty, you are basically cleaning very large rich chunks of perfectly cooked meat from around the large collarbone. If you haven't tried it, you are wrong. The kitchen items are par for the course or better and service is cheerful but sometime it can be hard to determine who your actual server is so just flag down anyone. There is only one place that is clearly better but that is reflected in the price and service and it is in one of the nicest hotels in town. I have eaten at almost every sushi joint in Naples. Many of them, more than twice and this is one of the better ones all around. You should like this place for a relaxed dinner. FYI I haven't had any of the Thai items off the menu so this really just applies to the sushi and some japanese style items from the kitchen.

I went with my mom here and had the early bird special. It was such an amazing deal!! Granted, if we did not have the special it is on the pricey side. The early bird special ends at 6:30. We came just in time before the dinner rush, as there seemed to be a line forming around 6:30 (so if you go, go before 6:30). We chose the shrimp shumai (fresh), the Pinot Grigio (tasty), the Sushi A, the green curry with Chicken, and the tempura ice cream. There was not one thing that was bad in the whole lot. I normally don't like peppers in curry because they are difficult to eat, but they were soft and were easy to eat. The presentation of the food was lovely but they still had decent portions and between two people the two person early bird special was the perfect size (not too filling). The servers were incredibly attentive and the service was quick. I would definitely go back and would recommend other people try out their food.

Sushi was super fresh and decorated nicely on the plate! I was surprised that it was that good. .. . I need one of these restaurant near by my house.. Also tried my friend's seafood tom yum and it was really delicious. Good amount of seafood and just right spice. I did surprised that down there use spicy sauce instead of spicy mayo for spicy tuna (or anything) roll. Definitely recommend if you ever go around that area!

The host was very very rude to us...short guy with funny glasses. He was so rude he should have been fired the way he talked to my aunt. For an appetizer, the sushi was very good. I had the spicy tuna and my cousin had the dynamite Sushi. For the main meal, my wife had the chicken terriyaki and it was awful. Cold on the inside and tasteless on the outside. For my main meal, I had the pad thai with chicken and shrimp and it was just ok. Also, we had gotten the seafood soup and it was just average. The place was packed, but it was tight everywhere you sat. I was with a party of tweleve, and the service was ok. I talked to the manager about the chicken teriakyki and the rude host. He brought us a free desert and said he was sorry. I liked the manager a lot, very nice, but the host was awful!!

I honestly don't understand why this place got such high ratings. Is it because there is no good sushi places in this part of Florida? I did not eat the Thai and only ordered the sushi takeout while we were on vacation. It was not great. The rice was mushy and tasteless, and the fish, while it tasted fresh enough, there was absolutely nothing remarkable or noteworthy at all. I found it to be very expensive for what you get. If you are craving good sushi, wait until you get home (if vacationing here). Maybe try their thai food, that actually looked decent.

Good, not great, Thai food. Service good, but a little slow. Good and not at all fishy tasting, but not perfectly fresh sushi... Thai noodles were tasty, the fried bananas very good. Perhaps the best part of Sushi Thai is the atmosphere--dark, a little mysterious, and an energetic Thai staff. Great place to hang out with Mom and reminisce over dinner, wine, and sake.

I was just on vacation in Naples, and the hotel concierge recommended this place. The atmosphere is very nice, they have a beautiful saltwater aquarium and plenty of booth seating. We really only had sushi (as opposed to the thai items), but were very pleased with the quantity and quality of food. Specifically, the c-5 lady-finger menu item is really big, and gets you plenty of sushi. Enjoy!

When you're tired of the beach/tropical decor and want something different I would recommend Sushi Thai too in Naples. Still tropical with a huge salt-water fish tank and nautical touches, but the dark wood throughout and high-back booths make for a pleasant dining experience. Didn't try the Thai menu items but the sushi was very good, presented beautifully and the service was impeccable. Would definitely return. Probably our least expensive dinner out in Naples, so great for families or those on a budget.

OHHHH MYYYY SUSHI! This is the best sushi I have ever had in my life. I haven't had sushi outside of N. America, so maybe I'm just unsushi'ed. Anyway, the rolls are so well done here. I can taste the vinegar in the rice, and the ratio between the two is just so spot on. We also got the salmon sashimi and it was so soft and buttery. But the real winners were the hand rolls. They were just perfection. I was only in Naples for 5 days and we had to come here twice because I loved it so much. Also, they have happy hour specials in the evenings, so a $3 mojito isn't too bad! There was one strange thing.. the staff seemed super unhappy. I didn't see one of them crack a smile. Since I'm mentioning this in my post, it sort of bothered me. The service wasn't the best, but they sure know how to make sushi.

Sushi + Thai. Interesting combination. Their menu is extensive, perhaps too extensive. How can they focus at being good at so many things... Anyways, standard "American" sushi fare- I got a variety of rolls and a few nigiri pieces with the former being better. Also, I got a Thai dish out of curiosity (chicken satay). It was good though again, the concept of sushi + Thai is bizarre. A bit on the pricey side for the type of food you get but perhaps it's for the atmosphere, which is a level (or two) up from the atmosphere traditionally associated with suburb strip malls.

Not good. Sorry to break the 5 star streak here, but I question if people here know what good sushi tastes like. I don't have anything positive to say about this place, so I will keep it short. There are a lot of other sushi places around, so go there. Komoon Sushi is much better. Sushi One on Goodlette and Pine Ridge is one of the best sushi places in this area. I would recommend going there any day over Thai Sushi.

According to Adam Carola's theory the more variety of items a restaurant has on its menu the less likely it is to be good. The aptly named Sushi-Thai seems to defy that theory by not only having a huge menu of both sushi and Thai items but having done both styles extremely well. Let's start with my favorite the sushi. We had the Kiss and Beauty and The Beast rolls. The kiss was my favorite as the fish was melt in your mouth amazing and the blend of favors was just outstanding. The Beauty and the Beast roll description was a little deceiving as I expected a roll that was tuna, unagi (eel) in a and avocado throughout but it was 5 pieces with tuna and 5 with unagi. The tuna was fresh but the unagi was the star as it was perfectly cooked and the best I have had in quite some time. The Thai food was also really good. The panang hit all the right notes for that and the Pad See Woo was fantastic as well. My favorite was the Tom Kah soup with seafood my grandpa ordered. He ordered it hot and unlike other places it was a flavorful heat and wasn't searing. I might have been able to do Thai hot on that dish. The soup was just fantastic just be willing to take a chance on some random fish in there. Based on the quality of the sushi and the soup I have no concern about poor quality fish in this dish. So if you are craving some sort of Asian cuisine and can't made a choice this is a great spot.

Today just came in for a quick glass of wine to see few friends that were dining. Edemame came quickly to the table. And their dinner followed. Everything looked delicious and fresh. Service is nice but can be a hot or miss. Their server system is a little confusing too. You will not know who is your server since one person takes your drink order, another will deliver it and then somebody else will take your dinner order. Overall 4 stars. Definitely will be back.

Ordered from this location multiple times - arrive is usually standard. Today, however, it was promised in 15 minutes and still hadn't arrived 1 hour later. When the food finally showed it was cold. I'll think twice about ordering from here again.

Check your bill. And even if you do and they made a mistake management takes no responsibility. They put my sashimi as sushi on my husbands plate. Who knew. Then said we needed to pay for it since my husband got it instead? Really? Came out of the tip and there are too many other good sushi places in town for this nonsense.

Their happy hour has a good selection and great prices! I've sat in all 3 areas, main part, middle outside, and in the back with the empty bar. I enjoyed the outside and back areas best! What a great find! The freshest best tasting sushi! We started with the spicy tuna roll, it was amazing. They use a kimchi sauce instead of the typical spicy mayo which just makes this roll. The Japanese ceviche was also amazing, great fresh flavor. This is a must try for anyone that loves sushi

This review is for sushi only. I got a spicy tuna roll, rainbow roll and shrimp tempura roll. Pretty standard fare at an American sushi place. All three rolls were gross and the rice was totally overcooked and sweet. Just disgusting. And they put sesame seeds all over EVERYTHING so you get a nutty/peanut taste with every bite. The tuna roll was just chopped bits of tuna, no nice whole pieces and the spicy sauce wasn't the normal spicy mayo. It was this disgusting sticky spicy sweet sauce that was like spicy red duck sauce and super gross. The rainbow roll would have been fine if it had been just a California roll. None of the fish on top tasted fresh, all was rubbery and slimy. The tempura roll was pretty much mush inside. So all $32 of sushi minus a bite of each went straight into the garbage disposal. I would have had more fun burning the $32. This place is disgusting for sushi. Publix does way better sushi.

Food and ambiance of this restaurant were amazing. However, there was a creep in the ladies bathroom trying to take a pictures over the bathroom stall. We informed the staff who immediately went in the bathroom. The staff "couldn't find who it was ". There is only one exit, therefore we are concerned it was a staff member. Needless to say, even though the food and atmosphere were great, we will not be returning.

The last two times I ordered delivery from them, I got something wrong. I decided to order sushi AGAIN a third time from them (I don't know why!), and they were saying that I live 25 minutes away from them and that they couldn't deliver. I tried to tell them that we live on (our street address) CIRCLE, not DRIVE, but they could not understand that. They wanted to give us their Naples Park location, which is actually 30 minutes away from us! We live 5 minutes away from them and just wanted sushi. They are ridiculous and I will not be doing business with them ever again. I have been disappointed with them too many times! Oh, and I've eaten at their location too, and the waiter rushed us and was extremely rude. There are a ton of better sushi places in Naples, and I'm about to go to Siam Thai, my favorite. Too bad I can't get delivery, but at least I'll get amazing service and food!

Love this place! I try to get seating in the new area - it is very pretty on that side. Food and service is the best. I am not a fan of really hot food nor am I a fan of sushi. My husband who loves hot stuff, orders the Tom Yum soup (Thai hot) and Massaman Curry and I get the JB Tempura Roll or Fried Rice. I will steal his Massaman Curry sauce and put in on top of my fried rice - it's really yummy.

Sushi Thai is reliable sushi. My first time ever eating sushi was at Sushi Thai. Its quality has stayed consistent, even as it expanded to more locations. As the years passed, the menu remains very much the same. I've eaten there countless times and once you dine there once, you know exactly what to expect, nothing more or less. It's that reliable. And that reliability is comforting as it sets the standard for good-- not bad, not great -- sushi and Thai food. Take the Pad Thai: if you never had Pad Thai before, have it here first. It rises above the asian fast food variety that I've since eaten and later regretted, but find a better pad thai and you'll know THAT pad thai is amazingly great because you've eaten it at Sushi Thai first and you know what is pretty good. I can speak the same for every one of their dishes. The mildly-spicy Tom Kha Gai soup with coconut milk is a soothing starter. Any sushi or roll you order won't disappoint. Unagi or Beauty and the Beast roll has a smoky cooked eel that I especially like. The sushi is presented with artful care, suggesting why the restaurant has managed to stay so reliable and so good. It's become a welcome staple of Naples.

Sushi Thai on 5th is my partner's and my favorite haunt in Naples, we go about once a week, sometimes more often. We go often for the lunch specials (11am - 2pm), which are a great deal at around $8. I usually get massaman curry, my partner gets pad thai or red curry, so delicious. And they come with soup (sometimes Miso, sometimes a beef or chicken soup in thin broth), and either a pork wonton or fried spring roll. Otherwise we go for dinner-time happy hour (3pm - 6pm) and get $5 sushi rolls. My current favorite is the JB Tempura roll - salmon, cream cheese and scallions, tempura style. Otherwise we love the regular (raw) JB roll. They have 4 or 5 other rolls for $5, also $2 miso soup, $2 or $3 edamame, $2 Chang beers. If there is not a little stand-up Happy Hour menu on your table, ask for one! The quality is the best i've had in naples, and it's downtown and cute inside.

We had a hunkering for good sushi; we were not disappointed! The California roll was delicious and the sashimi was fresh. They could have been a little more generous with the sashimi but I did walk out full and satisfied. Service was friendly and efficient even though the place was busy. The decor was nice and the seating comfortable. I'll have to go back and try all the Thai dishes I love.

Only the appetizers (Tom yum soup with shrimp and fresh roll) saved our Valentine's Day meal. As reported by others, servers were badly disorganized and our order was misplaced, and delivered late. Pad Thai was a gluey mess with overcooked rice noodles, a scarcity of shrimp, and no flavour at all. Would not recommend to friends.

I heard really good things about this restaurant, and decided to give them a try for takeout. Most of us had Pad Thai - either chicken or tofu. The food was definitely good, but $81 for 5 takeout entrees was steeper than expected. We enjoyed our meals, but were surprised at the big city price tag.

Started off with a Thai tea. Was disappointed as it was all sugar no smoky tea flavor. Ordered the lunch special which came with soup and appetizer. The soup was very sweet as well. The included appetizer was one single dumpling. I got the panang curry, a personal favorite of mine, and it was served boiling hot! Everyone in my party burned their tongues. Overall the flavor was quite average and I will probably not come here again. As an aside, the atmosphere was nice.

Drove past the newer Sushi Thai Too to come here instead. For years this place has had better food, service. Smaller eatery, not as pretty, but the original restaurant, well worth driving farther for. They don't blink when we ask to substitute, not so touchy about the cost of extras that you ask for, much more hospitable. Still the BEST Ginger salad dressing AND peanut dressing anywhere in the USA. Freshly made every day, you will taste the difference. Lunch is the best deal.

I've eaten this food twice, and both times it was awesome. My family's really into sushi, so we wanted to find a place in Naples that was as good as the sushi places back home. Didn't take long! We walked into here one night on a whim, sat down, and by the time we left we were like YES! Next time we were back, we wanted to watch some Boardwalk, so we decided to order take out. I'm always a little worried ordering takeout from a nice place, because I wonder if they're maybe not too used to doing it, and how well they'll prepare everything. I didn't need to worry - the food was even better than last time! (That could just be because I ate it in the comfort of home, though. =) ) The pad thai here is awesome, pretty much everything on the sushi menu is delicious, and try one or two special rolls. I mean, depending - we're a family of four and we put away a lot of food, so we get like 5 special rolls for all four of us, plus other stuff. But if you're trying it by yourself, maybe just get one or two. It's a good amount of food in just one special roll, honestly. And yeah, that's about it! Really fresh sushi, really nice place. I'm looking forward to the next time we visit. =)
