Horrible food, service, ambiance. Stleak was miniscule - and worse than that, tenderized. unacceptable in a steakhouse. salad drenched in dressing. asked for seat cushions; waiter said there weren't any; then I saw another waiter get cushions for his table. even the espresso tasted bitter. roast beef was correct "doneness", but absolutely tasteless. Restaurant 1/2 empty on a Sat. night during season; now I understand why.

This was my first visit and I was very impressed with this restaurant. Unfortunately we were not seated until 45 minutes after our reservation time and there was no place to sit. I had the prime rib special which was a little tough but flavorful. The French onion soup was good but did not have a traditional flavor.

To be fair we went here for happy hour to get the half price drinks. The bartenderess alone was worth the trip... and she pours a nice drink. We did wind up getting a shrimp cocktail (delicious but only three shrimp) and escargot which was the best we had anywhere in the last few years. We weren't very hungry that particular day so I'll write another review when we have a proper sit down meal. Stoney's is not cheap but it was refreshing to see they do not whack you extra for a baked potato and salad like a lot of other upscale steak houses are doing.

Sadly, we left very disappointed. Our waiter was attentive but clueless about the wine selections. We simply wanted to know if vegetables were included in our dinner selection and again he was annoyed and clueless. We decided to go for the early bird special and it was not worth the $19.99 per person. One would think that a restaurant would advertise early bird specials as a way to bring a customer in and hope they enjoy the experience so they could hook them in as regular customer. That was not the case with Stoney's. We were disappointed with the quality of this early bird special and will not return as a long term customer. The meat was tasteless and tough and gristly which was hard to believe as they were described as filet medallions. I have a feeling if you order a very expensive steak from their regular menu you might be ok. There are plenty of other great restaurants in Naples to choose from that hit 10 out of 10 on Allpoints which we will continue to visit. And finally, please don't compare Stoney's to Ruth Chris steakhouse as it is no where near the quality, service, and excellence of that renowned restaurant.

The Prime Rib was excellent as was The Fresh Maine Lobster my friend had. Everyone here is definitely on their game,in this busy, classic steakhouse.. The staff makes you feel right at home and very important also. From the bartender,Lisa, who always makes your drink just right,to William,(Bill),our waiter, who makes the night so enjoyable. We feel, this hands down, the best place to eat steaks, prime rib, pork or chicken in Naples, and the Maine Lobster.Mmmm. Our meal was a class act from when we entered until we left,We love fine dinning at a reasonable price.Nd word describes it,"classy",and a great experience.

Went for the early bird specials (which are served all evening on Sundays). Wonderful looking prime rib. Nice thick cut, large portion. The chicken florentine was excellent. The sweet potato and leek soup was very hearty (purée style) and I would recommend it, if you haven't tried it before. The server was very friendly, but could have been more attentive, as our drinks (sodas) needed refilled more often (he only did it once during the meal and the glassware was goblet style and did not hold much to begin with). There was a nice looking wine cellar on display. Super comfy chairs (go for the extra pillow/cushion they offer for your back, as the chairs are very deep {although the pillows could have been a little cleaner}. We had a reservation, so there was no wait at all. We were there early (about 5:30 p.m.) and had no problem parking, but the on street parking filled up shortly thereafter. There is an option for a valet.

Kudos to Drew, our waiter last Saturday evening who was definitely super-busy (the entire restaurant was very busy). He was very friendly and did a great job especially given that he had a lot of people to serve. The food is always very good and we enjoy getting to Stoneys once every trip to Naples. All the servers we have had there are great. There were two managers on duty who were conspicuously pacing through the restaurant and monitoring ...and giving not-so-discreet feedback to servers, which was a bit awkward. It would probably have helped out the servers and service during such a busy night if they instead just pitched in with wine/drink delivery or with other actual tasks (the bananas foster, maybe?) rather than lots of patrolling.

Our hotel recommended this place for Prime Rib so we went. During the summer season they have a $19.99 pre fixe menu which includes a soup or salad, different entrees and dessert. Started off with the corn chowder. Very delicious, not too creamy and had a great taste. The Prime Rib was cooked to perfection, perfect medium rare. It was a good thick piece with the right amount of salt and flavor. The dessert for the night was apple bread pudding. It was also very delicious. My father and I were definitely very satisfied. Service was also excellent. We definitely recommend

DISAPPOINTED. So we visited Naples as we often do and a meal at Stoney's is always on the list. We not only looked forward to the great prime rib and oysters Rockefeller, but also to the superb service we were accustomed to by Aldo. It appears Stoney's was closed for a period of time and just reopened. Although the food was still superb (hence the 3 stars), the service was abominable and not in line with the prestige of this restaurant. There were two ladies at the reception area (one pregnant and inappropriately dressed), and both were inefficient at best. Our waitress was nice but sloppy and not a bit of finesse. There is a new early bird special which they extend all night on Sundays which includes the prime rib that is well worth the price. In closing, if Stoney's doesn't beef up the service, there are plenty of other good restaurants in Naples that offer much better service. It's not just about the good food, it's the whole experience.

TOTALLY BUMMED! I was really looking forward to having some prime rib!!! Arrived at 9:40pm on a Monday -- yelp has their hours as being open till 11:30pm. Manager said that was wrong they usually close at 10pm on Mondays but since it was a slow night the kitchen was already closed. :-(

Outstanding overall Great service and the best prime rib in town. Glad they have Eric Pate on board, always runs a class restaurant.

Great steakhouse atmosphere. Tried the filet, strip, and prime rib. All were highly above average. The sides were well proportioned to the meal as well. Service was phenomenal. It is a must if you're in Naples and craving a night out for amazing steak.

Stoney's Steakhouse is great. We were there last week and had a wonderful time, good food/service and this restaurant is very clean and classy. Eric the manager was terrific and is right there on the floor directing everything....don't get service that good very often. Our family looks forward to going to Stoney's when they come down to visit me. Phil H - Naples, fl

I can't believe I have been living in Naples almost 10 years and have just tried this place. The French onion soup is the best I have ever had. Prime rib is amazing and the truffle drizzled fries were delicious. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and in the summer they have great specials. Made my 2nd trip back in a month and got the same thing - equally amazing. Highly recommended place for great food and atmosphere.

Made a reservation through Yelp and Open Table and got a great table off by ourselves. (I'm tellin you, Open Table is the KEY to being treated well. They know you might review them.) Great (mostly) quiet atmosphere, very classy and upscale. There is a separate quirky bar area where I think they have piano music sometimes. Our food was great, ordered the prime rib tableside and got a perfect medium rare. If I had to complain I'd say the prime rib was rather "dense," almost like it was tough. But still perfectly done, and the flavor was very good. We were on our vacation but would surely visit again if we come back to Naples.

Fab prime rib , horrible packaged béarnaise sauce. The restaurant is dusty ,bathroom grimy. For a high end restaurant the place needs to have a deep clean & try making its dressings from scratch . The service as good except the bus boy who seem to be more interested in sneaking food from the kitchen & then walking around the restaurant chewing

Another great dining experience. Very good food , service and atmosphere . Enjoy a civil non rushed dinner just outside the jammed crowds in downtown Naples. Must try the prime rib sliced at your table, the steaks and the fire cracker shrimp which beats Bonefish's Bang Bang shrimp. Add to this great cocktails and a very good by the glass wine list plus Happy Hour and you'll have a wonderful evening

One of the best places in the country for great beef. Prime rib carved at the table is as good as it gets. Great service, wonderful atmosphere. A real must.

Best Steak in Naples. On par with Ruth Chris type places. Local owned. Prime Rib is cut right in front of you. So good. If you dont drink you can eat for 25 to 30 dollars per person.

Had a buddy coming in town for the night and figured some red meat sounded like a must, I looked up some steak houses and ended up picking Stoney's, mainly because I read they had great prime rib carved table side. We started with drinks, which were always attended to, and some Blue Point Oysters on the half shell, which were fresh and tasty. I ordered the the 16 oz cut Prime Rib, which was brought out and hand carved table side. The steak was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing, my friend and I haven't stopped talking about our meal. While having dinner we also had a friendly conversation with a table of four next to us, who informed us they frequent Stoney's and have always been pleased. The interior is up scale and classically decorated, the only complaint i would have is that the chairs are a little too up right. I like to be able to lean back a bit after a big meal. Will definitely go back, the Prime Rib is incredible and a must try for fans of the cut. Almost forgot, their bread is wonderful as well. Warm and crusty on the outside and and soft on the inside, and served with soft butter. (Why do some restaurants serve bread with rock hard butter?)

I have been to Stoney's three times this season: 1. With 16 men - 15 loved it and I got the 'wrong' cut of Prime Rib. I really like this once in six months so having the meat cut tableside sounded great. I also eat meat medium rare or if I can get the end cut of a Rib Roast I'll go with that because of the incredible flavor. Well there are TWO end cuts on a PR roast. One is succulent and the other is tough as leather. I got the 'leather'. 2. The next time I went was on one of their special $23.95 Prime Rib with salad and potato. (regular price is about $32). ALDO, the chief cutter, sliced a beautiful medium rare slab of prime beef on my plate with a little horseradish sauce. Nothing was left. (And I saved about $8 per person. Check with restaurant as to discount nights.) 3. Last week I went for their famous 'bar menu'. Half off on a number of items before 6:30 (check time) As many of you know I rate burgers and had to have their famous 1/2 pound angus. I met the chef Jesse 'James' who has spent the past 10 years at top Naples restaurants before becoming exec. chef at Sonny's. He assured me the burger would be first class. They take the trimmings from the rib roasts, sirloins, strip steaks and grind them to an excellent patty. I also said medium rare to rare. The meat looked perfect with cheddar on top. But 1) the bun was a kaiser roll that looked Public bought. (a negative) and 2) the meat, while very tasty and top quality ended up medium well around the outside because of the hot grill they use. The middle was perfect but I'd say 20% or more was given up. I'd give this a good 80 on my 1 to 100 scale. Suggested they use pritzel rolls and chef said he'd try. Also have to do something about searing the meat without overcooking the edges. Finally, I moved from a hightop table in the bar (mainly empty) and sat at the bar itself. Well I would give the bartender, Lisa, a 95! Personality, attentiveness, and professionalism. That was a real plus. So go and ask for Aldo and tell him The Burgermaven sent you. Stop for a drink before dinner in the bar and ask for Lisa -- tell her that the 'Magic Man' sends his best. It's definitely worth it on one of their special nights: Prime Rib on Tuesday and Thursdays at 25% discount to Fridays and Saturdays. Other nightly specials or just go to the bar and enjoy happy hour with a loverly bartender. HPB

So I took the Mrs here last night for a well deserved night out. Not cheap but awesome food and service, and was highly recommended to us. Our waiter Nate was really knowledgable and gave us direction that we both followed and really enjoyed. The firecracker shrimp appetizer was just great as was the freshly baked bread and real butter (not the flavored stuff you normally get). The Mrs chose the Prime rib (which is cut at the table) and I took the fillet mignon and we shared a bottle of Chilean wine. Both steaks were just perfectly cooked. Great job Nate, thanks for taking care of us, great recommendations. Note the do have a happy hour and valet parking.

Funny, I ordered Stoney's chicken & I never order chicken. It was delicious over spinach. The mashed potatoes were a treat. The rolls are to die for. The Stoney Salad was also wonderful. My friend had the steak sliders - she loved it. There were not that many Coconut Shrimp so you might want a side dish. The music was so nice and as we sat away from it we could hear each other talk. Service was very good. My husband had the meatloaf, also an unusual dish for a steak restaurant. He claims it was good, not great but again, it's meatloaf we're talking about!
