Was the dope spot in Naples. Cool. Good happy hour. "Ok" staff. Owner dies. Wife of owner is not a nice person. Asked her to put the volume down on the sound system at 330 PM on a Wednesday , not a soul in the joint. Just wanted to have a snack an talk to a friend at a table. She told me "no, I won't turn the music down". Wow!! You own the joint and won't just do a natural manager/ owner should. Price on Tuesday night cheese pizza take out goes from $7-$10. (Loss leader --- look it up) They should have kept it at $7. Hey owner--- when it's summer and you are begging for cash flow, your locals won't support you anymore.

So I came in with all 5 senses functioning as they should. That quickly changed. To begin, the band that was playing destroyed my belief in the ability to enjoy live music. When I seated myself, I was surprised to find the waitress spraying me with a bottle of cleanser. Upon questioning her, she informed me that she was indeed aiming for the table. After glancing at the sub par drink menu, I found a drink that seemed reasonably pleasing to my palette but it turned out to be a brown drink with a half crushed cherry on the bottom next to what appeared to be an orange slice. It tasted like rubbing alcohol (not even the good kind with aloe Vera in it!) The dimly lit bar and surrounding area made it difficult for my sober body to make it to the disgusting bathroom. Only my sense of smell remained intact. To be brief, save your money and go somewhere with a larger alcohol selection and better lighting, like say the publix grocery store down the road.

Just average late night bar food. Not bad not great. It is great they showcase local bands/musicians but it can get too loud where you can't hear your dining mates, so we opted for the patio so we could enjoy the live music but still hold a conversation. Joanna was a great waitress.

After a long day of travel to start our annual FL fishing trip, this place hit the spot! Fabulous beer selection, much above average food and great service. Our favorite foods are the strombolis and philly rolls. We enjoyed it enough that we had to stop for a beer on our way to catch a flight headed out of town. Yup, its in a boring location in a strip mall, but maybe keeps some of the lame tourists away??? Beer geeks like us will hit again, see ya in a couple weeks!

Great Bar & ice cold beer. Pizza is excellent. Live music too. Whats not to like? Every time we go I say we should come here more often. If the servers/bartenders were a little more friendly & attentive it would get 5 stars.

I'm a new Naples resident (but well traveled) and learning where to go if you want to avoid the seasonal guests and inflated prices. South Street is tucked discretely into a strip mall which thankfully does not arouse the interest of our snow birds. They have great live music that doesn't annoy and the food and draft craft beers are some of the best in SWFL. The staff was friendly and attentive, I will be a weekly patron.

We sat for 10 min, with no acknowledgement whatsoever. We precisely left at the 10 min mark. Hosts stood nonchalantly at the "wait to be seated" sign and talked and gazed as we left. Will not go back!

This place is alright.. good selection of beer on tap... goos music and decent food.. typical sports bar. . Ordered the 1/2 off cheese pie Wednesday night... it was mediocre. . The cheese wedges are very good.. a bit pricey if you veer away from the specials

South street.. In North Naples. Been here only 4 times. at various times during day night and week. The service is very attentive. They are well known for the pizza and wings. The beer selection is pretty good 30 choices mostly craft and a few domestics macro brews. The bartenders will pull a taste if you would like to try or get a sampler of 4. The music is pretty good and they also have plenty of live musicians and singers coming in almost every day of the week. While watching the games sitting at the bar is a little awkward from where i sat looking up was difficult but sitting at a booth or a table is good on the neck. I do like the larger screens. Some times quality beats quantity, especially at this location. Depending on time and day the crowd changes old to young. Especially with the late night happy hour. Food 4 Pizza n wings great menu. Ambiance 4 bricks walls graffiti art great looking granite bar. Very clean. Service 5 staff seemed happy and helpful. Location 3 also close to Pelican Larry's Value 4

Thanks to the Naples Yelpers for letting me know about this place. As a native from South Jersey, I needed to find a great place to watch the Eagles game while down here. What better than a bar that is most definitely a Philly bar? It had an Eagles banner when first walking in and even some art work depicting the Philly skyline. I was sold immediately. The menu is fairly typical, but offered enough variety for my family and myself. We got two appetizers to start. The philly soft pretzels and beer cheese sauce was absolutely fantastic. The cheese sauce had that nice beer after taste. We also wanted to try the spinach and artichoke wontons as it was a bit different from the normal dip variety. They were good if only slightly over cooked. They came with a very good homemade ranch dipping sauce. For my entree I went with their Monday night Football burger special. It was a burger with bacon, cheese, jalapenos and beer cheese sauce. The fries were crisp and weren't sitting around very long. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals as well. The gf got a buffalo chicken sandwich that had a great buffalo sauce. My parents got a meatball parm and a chicken parm. Both were completely massive sandwiches. For dessert we got churros, which weren't your normal run of the mill churros. They were obviously handmade, but more in the form of a donut. They came with awesome chocolate and raspberry sauces to dip. This really was a great meal. There are plenty of TV's and the service was absolutely fantastic. On another note, the beer selection here is excellent for a Florida institution. Especially in the Naples area, which lacks great beer bars. I did a flight and mixed in some local Florida craft beers. The flights are cheap and only around $7.

Had a late dinner during the holidays here with the woman. Ordered Pork Sliders with Gouda cheese on Pretzel Rolls and a Cheeseburger with bacon. Both were perfect. I ordered a Breakfast Stout and she had a Funky Buddha Floridian. Great beer selection, great service and awesome menu. Really enjoyed our visit and look forward to our next!

First time here & we loved it. Huge number of beers on tap. They had live music. Sweet Tease, a band featuring 2 female guitarists, performed 90s alternative music acoustically. They were excellent.

4.4 STARS! Such a cool vibe and Tuesday was karaoke night so the funny and entertaining music was an added treat. This is a spot for all aged adults to mingle, kick back and have fun! FOOD: We started with the wonton spinach and artichokes. Very cool way to make this finger food and bite size! If you like this famous dip then try these. I found the fried calamari slightly undercooked and rushed to order. Too cold and chewy and lacked flavor even with the parmasean sprinkeled on topped. PIZZA! The chicken bruchetta was phenomenal! The crust wasnt too thick and it was crunchy at the crust but soft underneath. The chicken was slightly dry but very flavorful and the bacon was a bonus! The tomatoes were sweet and light, cheesy goodness on top with red crunchy onions and balsamic vinegerette topped this masterpiece. Well presented. SERVICE: It was busy but not busy enough for our server to treat us like family. She was helpful and friendly. Well served! ENJOY!

Zero stars if I could. I've been here many times for happy hours, dinners, games, and group gatherings over the years and now I will refuse to attend functions here, no matter who is celebrating or why. I will always suggest another venue. Servers are simply not trained. I can't stress this enough. There is little sign of any experience, pride in what they do, or professionalism. Bartenders are not on their game either. Beers are overpriced. I actually cannot believe I gave this place so many chances; I wanted it to work out. I thought with the changes in ownership recently, it'd be different. It's not. It's just a terrible customer experience. Please support managers and owners who care about providing a professional and positive experience for customers. Visit instead: Taps at Mercato, Pub at Mercato, Boston Beer Garden on Immokalee Rd, gosh...anywhere else but South Street...

Nice joint to hang in Naples that doesn't cater to the lower denominator of the area or old botoxed rich folks. Live music is nice, the atmosphere is modern and the location is convenient. One extra star for not playing country music. Our waitress had a great personality and was very personable but tended to disappear often. We sat outside which may have contributed to this. There is a nice variety of food and booze (they actually carry Blanton's and 1792 bourbon) Beware of the mixed drinks: The first margarita tasted perfect, the second one came out with no salt and was very clearly NOT the same top shelf alcohol as the first. It was undrinkable. This was sent back and was shrugged off as 'different bartenders'. For $9 a piece your drinks should be top notch, not at the mercy of the person making it. This affair literally and figuratively left a bad taste in my mouth with this place.

My boyfriend and I absolutely love this place. Crazy awesome craft beer selection, lots of taps to choose from (I think around 30?) and a beer on cask. Their food is really good too! Pizza is great and lots of healthy options to choose from like hummus, sides of veggies and great salads and sandwiches. They have good lunch specials. Most if all Service here is outstanding. Everyone is so nice and so knowledgeable. We live in Fort Lauderdale now but this place is a must visit anytime we're on the west coast.

Good service. But the cheese-steak bread is not even close to Philly The steak was ok and enjoyed the fries. I like this place for atmosphere. Maybe meet for a drink or watch a game. I've heard the salads are good The feral cats in the backyard will eat the bread

South Street, in essence, is your neighborhood hangout. The culture here consists of those who want a great brew from a long craft beer list and some decent food to match. It's quite the social hot spot, which lends itself to hopping around, being stationary while listening to some great lineups of live music, or be close to any one of the gazillion TVs that bejewel the bar. I'm surprised I haven't written a review of this place, because I've visited this place regularly for years. I've had the pleasure of hanging out in large groups for happy hour, catching a quick lunch, partaking in a few networking events, and even attend a memorial service for one who used to frequent this place and considered family to the South Street gang. At times, I've felt like this place had not given me enough to write about, but I must compose my special letter to the peoples now that I have basked in the glory of their mac and cheese. You are served this deep bowl with mostaccioli (or ziti pasta) with a beautiful cheese sauce. You can order it plain, or you can add chicken, bacon or broccoli. I, of course, add bacon and broccoli because they cancel each other out. What I thought would be something small, baked in a ramekin, came out as a lovely dinner portion where the mac and cheese was the main star of the table. I could see jealous eyes surround my personal bubble. My mac and cheese was steamy hot, and the bacon pieces were plentiful and the broccoli were fashioned in very substantial pieces that sat atop. Now, if I could have just had a nice drinky drink with it, I would have been in heaven. For other items on the menu, they do a mean stromboli and meatloaf. I'm also a fan of the mozzarella triangle thingies that stick to your gut and line your stomach to handle some heavy drinkage. They're also known for their pizza. I'm particularly not a huge fan, but people do come here for the pizza. Customer service is very decent. Someone's always around to refill your cup with just about anything. I'm not sure if they still do it, but I've had the most lovely lychee martini. Just know that this place can get loud, mainly because it's so conducive to large groups and loud people and live music. There's lots of space to move around without being in people's way, and it's also in a great location and visible from the street for passerbyers. I think I might have to put this on the list of my after-work meetings! 20-2015

I would pass over this place. They may have a long bar and plenty of beer choices, yet not once have I ever liked being in that environment mainly because I've never experienced proper service. The service has been bleak, at best. For instance, we had a fairly large group of 15 or so people gathering after the loss of a loved one.. We wanted a lively place to be. I asked the host about accommodating is with a few more chairs, a table - anything so we weren't so scattered. It was a reasonable and do able request. He leaned on his podium, hardly looked at me and said, "no, I can't." He told me that it wasn't possible. Clearly, it was possible because I pulled over the chairs needed on my own.. Our server was 95% non existent, we had to order apps and drinks from bar mostly.. I single handedly bussed the tables we occupied. The "lady in charge" / mgr knew, as well and did not come to help bus.. It was a shit show. The location is great.. The beer selection is fabulous. Everything else including the lighting, service, most food is thumbs down.. Our group was not able to settle in and enjoy bc we were up and down getting our food/ drinks from the bar... Cleaning up, etc. I hope this is rectified..

We went here based on a awesome beer menu, and that's where the awesomeness ended. To say the hostess couldn't be bothered is an under statement. The constant flipping of her hair made me wish she was wearing a hair net. She has a very hard time figuring out where or when we could be seated.... After we found our own seats and carried over our own chairs because the hostesses either couldn't be bothered or couldn't figure it out in still not sure. We were seated and our waiter was nice. The menu seemed very enticing with spinach and artichoke wontons, a variety of salads, and build your own pizzas, etc... We received our food and YUCK. The green goddess salad had a chicken breast that tasted so much like fish I had to double check and make sure I didn't mistakenly order tuna. The toasted garlic bread on the side was soggy. The dressing was supposed to be green goddess and it was a runny ranch. The buffalo chicken pizza is greasy, salty, and dis-custing. The only saving grace was the margherita pizza, it was edible. Stay far far away from this place. It truly IS terrible.

We decided to give South Street a try and it didn't disappoint! Great service (and local beer recommendations) and the food was great. My wife had the fish tacos that were flavorful with the mango salsa, my son had the cheese pizza that was cooked perfectly and I had a great chicken sandwich. The beer selection is awesome and not just focused in IPA's...overall a great experience!

I'm giving 3 stars because I'm not sure what to think here. They are the first people in town to have my favorite beer, Pumking. I've checked everywhere and nobody else has it. I tried total wine and abc liquor and they can't get it. Than, I get a newsletter from the brewery stating that they will be releasing Pumking August 7. After drinking the beer at south street, my stomach was messed up the next day and I noticed that the beer doesn't taste how it should. I have a feeling they are using last years kegs. Be aware of what you're consuming. If it's out of season, too early or too late, it's best not to take a chance on if.

We got there about a quarter to five. Most of the bar was full and people were having fun. We were seated and shortly after the whole restaurant was full. The server was attentive and menu knowledgable. Our drinks and food all arrived in great time. I ordered the meatloaf sliders. I am glad I did. They were delicious and filled me up. Sure am glad I didn't order the meal. Only criticism is that the bread the BLT was on was a little hard to chew. The onion rings were great but wonder what the seasoning was on them. I tasted Rosemary. Just curious. Great place. Will return soon!!!

Tipping point resulting in 4 versus 3 stars was the value of happy hour menu, and overall good local atmosphere/vibe. Could be categorized as a sports bar, but falls short in sheer volume of TVs versus others. That's not a bad thing, as very large horseshoe shaped bar & surrounding tables are good mix of stopping in for an adult beverage, and or a bite to eat. Yes good menus of craft and bottled beers (note this is not a brew house),and excellent value of happy hour special appetizer choices that easily can make a meal for under 15$....if one goes down that road. As noted by others this small strip mall location (on very busy Pine Ridge road) is forgotten once inside the good sized pub & is refreshing in its patrons which are a nice mix & not all "seniors", nor not all in early 20s, nor not tourists in town for a week in the sun. Also noted was noise level was acceptable when compared to many "ear blasting" bars. Service, once I obtained attention of behind bar folks, was very good, knowledgeable & friendly. Overall, I will look forward to returning and would give solid recommendations to anyone to give a try. No worries about walking in single, or whatever, I enjoyed my exploratory visit & shall return.

Really cool laid back atmosphere. Great beer list. Great food. My husband and I often come here on Fridays after work for dinner and a few beers. Weekend nights they have live bands which are never bad. Different than your usual Naples bar, in a good way.

Great place to eat in Naples! We have been here many times. The food is delicious and the staff is very helpful and super nice! I love the atmosphere and they have a great craft beer selection! The food is really good! Best Cheesecake around town. Only downside is the service at the bar is horrible, bartenders think they are something really special & have a tendency to ignore customers. I would suggest getting a Philly Cheesesteak!!

  • Chris M.

My two stars here are strictly for the beer list and that they have the sports packages and TV's to watch all the game on. The happy hour prices are really the only worth while bargains here. And with every special there seems to be stipulations. such as $4 pints, UNDER 7% alc/v. Sorry for liking stronger beer and not getting a deal on it. Food is extremely bland....there wasn't anything we all ate here that was memorable. Started with the spinach and artichoke wontons....watery inside, not flavorful. ALso had a soft pretzel that could have passed for a frozen super pretzel, with beer cheese that was runny. Apparently these Philly owners have not been to Wisconsin or seen Merkts cheese before. I had the Stromboli and my buddy had the philly cheese-steak roll, just like a big calzone. We each went halves so we could try both and I gotta say the only thing that tasted decent was the cheesesteak. The stromboli was bland and it contained 2 diff meats and 3 diff veggies. My sisters had chicken wraps and they were mediocre at best. Your best bet is to come in for happy hour times to watch your favorite sporting events...Excellent beer menu with 10 rotating beers on taps and about 25 permanent beers on tap. Great job on that, South Street. Loved the Magic Hat # 9 and Dale's Pale Ale in particular.

  • Jessica L.

The food was mediocre at best. When we received out bill, nothing was the price it had been on the menu. We inquired about the price discrepancies, were told everything had an up charge. One example, a grilled chicken sandwich was listed for $10.50 on the menu and showed up on the bill for $12. Apparently, there was an up charge for broccoli. Also, the side of honey mustard showed up as $0.50 extra. The cheesesteak was a different price, so was the calzone, and so on and so forth. Extremely unprofessional not to mention up charges when we ordered our food. I will not go back to this establishment.

It's bar food.....don't overthink it. Had the empanadas which were not too good. The Caesar salad was pretty good and the service was great. I suspect on a weekend night with a live band and some drinks this place goes up to 4 stars.

Fun to go for Happy Hour- decent HH prices on the food, although $5 for a Margarita made with well liquor isn't that exciting. Love the simple Brushetta very fresh and lots of it, the sliders are pretty good...husband likes the cheesesteak although it has little to do with any Philly version we've tasted. Now the Pepperoni Rolls and Stromboli - we've tried twice each (in house & take-out)- the Stromboli had so much potential, but I think they may have just stuffed my COLD toppings into a heated Boli as the cheese and dough were heated thoroughly, yet my ham, green peppers and mushrooms were ice cold, and lumped in one location, so not worth the 10 bucks. And the Pepperoni Rolls both times have had a significant amount of RAW dough. Very raw, like I thought I was munching on a great big, delicious looking cheese pocket, but No- it was awful, & soon in the trash at home. Gets crowded on Fri nights, live music, fun atmosphere, servers are great. Food is inconsistent, but sometimes tasty.

Without fail every single time my friends and I go out we end up at South Street by the end of the night. Why? I suppose the reason is it's busy but not too crowded, the pizza is good and they have an expansive beer selection. Thursday nights they do an open mic which is fun if you have any amount of musical talent or are in denial about your lack of it.

Ordered takeout tonight. Had pizza and a cheeseburger- the food was average but the service is very poor. Orders are taken by the bartenders rather than the wait staff. They are poorly trained and seem more interested in hanging up the phone rather than providing customer service. Will not be ordering takeout ever again. The restaurant is very busy inside-they place no importance on their carryout service and probably should stop offering it.

One of the only establishments open after 9 on Sunday's. Great menu. Apps are yummy. Pizza was fantastic. Live music on weekends makes for fun & young environment. Our waitress was great!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
