I had the seared shrimp, Wedge salad with house dressing, and a glass of white Zinfandel. The wedge salad was basically just a wedge of iceberg lettuce, however, the house creamy garlic dressing made it delicious. The creamy dressing paired nicely with the Crispy lettuce. I ordered the seared shrimp and it came with a baked sweet potato. The shrimp were crispy but not like typical fried shrimp. The shrimp were light and the batter contained some fresh herbs and garlic. The wine was just your average house wine, and was probably Sutter Home or Kendall Jackson. Other family members enjoyed their dinners as well. Someone ordered the coconut shrimp, but I thought that they were a bit over- breaded. I was told that the pineapple dipping sauce was very good. The staff was pleasant and friendly. The atmosphere is not much to discuss. The tables were basic with plastic chairs. Overall, the food was good.

The BEST seafood chowder ever. I also ordered the fish sandwich. Totally fresh and really good. I am sad that it is so far away from Tennessee!

Yum yum YUM! Excellent food. excellent service! I had the pleasure of eating here for dinner while on a family vacation on Marco Island. My dad's girlfriend had the place recommended to her by a client and we decided to check it out. I'll start with the food: We decided to share the seafood chowder and a dinner-for-two sampler as appetizers. The seafood chowder was the BEST I have ever had (you can see the picture of the huge chunks of fish in the picture I posted to yelp) creamy, perfectly seasoned, and very meaty. The seafood platter was excellent, although it's hard to mess up fried anything. We got the oysters, clams, shrimp, and scallops. All was excellent, except I would've liked larger pieces of clam... made it seem like it wasn't fresh caught, but bought frozen from Costco.. not sure if this is true, but I've had clams at many places on the Gulf, and the clams were always huge chunks of meat. For dinner we went with what was recommended to us by the waiter.. the Catch of the Day. Lightly breaded and pan-fried to perfection, it was fabulous. It came with sides so we ordered the veggie and sweet potato (both excellent, but I usually prefer my zucchini al dente, this was a little on the soggy side.) Also came with a salad or cole slaw, so we tried both and the house dressing was excellent! For dessert we split the key lime pie.. OH MY GOD so fresh and tasty! We got a peanut butter pie to go as well, and I've got it waiting in my refrigerator to enjoy tonight. The reasons why this did not get 5 stars: 1) We couldn't eat dinner outside.. only for drinks and lunch. 2) They don't serve liquor.. at least not inside. Beer and wine only. I was hoping for a cocktail... 3) The clams could've been "fresher" or at least bigger and meatier to look fresher. Also, the veggies could've been cooked al dente, however they were still perfectly seasoned! I HIGHLY recommend the Pelican Bend to anyone traveling to the Naples/Marco Island area. Absolutely fabulous!

You can't really say much more == it is what it is and that is kinda a hole in the wall spot that none of us would have ever ended up at if it wasnt for a member hearing about it. Finding a table was no problem, it was out of the way a little bit and this is a local only spot from what I can tell. Don't expect much when you walk in and the bar area outside isn't really anything to write home about. You want to come in, grab some food and the people working there are all really nice. That is all we wanted that evening. I'm glad we were dressed down after a long day of work because I'm not sure they would have let us in if we were dressed any nicer. But it was good all around and we enjoyed the meal.

It's all about the grouper my friends. This is the BEST seafood dinner I have ever had!!! The creamy garlic dressing on the lettuce wedge is homemade and should not be missed. The place is very casual, with ubiquitous nautical decorations and "greatest catch " fishing photos. There were enough wines on the list for seafood parings and cocktails were also served. Great service, great experience, great place. Don't miss this gem.

Food is mediocre at best. Service is really poor. I'll spare anyone reading this the trivial details of our meal. Suffice it to say you could find fresher seafood dumpster diving behind a red lobster and better service at your neighborhood DMV. Do yourself a favor and eat your own nail clippings at home.

Good food. Laid back, friendly staff. 6 in the party and everyone was happy with the selection. It was 25 minute ride from naples, but worth it.

My family and I have been coming here for dinner for years. (but hadn't been in many years) This time, we came for lunch. The "catch of the day" is no longer grouper since they said it is too expensive. They replaced it with a very mediocre, thin white fish that was tasteless (orange roughy). Orange roughy is also very high in mercury and should not be eaten. The quality of their food went WAY downhill over the past few years. There are a million great places in Marco, don't waste your time here.

Friendly service. Great ambiance and reasonable prices. We were greeted at the dock from the water and felt welcome right away. This was our second visit and this time, we brought friends to enjoy the fun atmosphere. This is a super casual and laid back place. You can eat outside, in the Chickee Bar or inside the main restaurant. There's plenty to look at hanging on all the walls and the ceiling as well as friendly local characters. Kids, groups or singles would all be comfortable here.
