I noticed while walking in the door that they have computers set up that will eventually be used for ordering. Hopefully this will be a welcome change because the service here is horrible! They never have enough servers and it takes a very long time to get food. My mom ordered untoasted raisin bread and it took 15 minutes to get. I've been here more than once and it's always the same.

It seems that everything in this shopping center is below par compared to the other locations of those chains (Panera, Chili's). Dirty tables, servers that look bored and don't make eye contact. And what's with plastic utensils? I feel like I am sitting in a school cafeteria, except that I paid $14 for my meal. When the server brought my food, the table where I sat still had a receipt and food crumbs and water from the previous customer, but she did not clean it off and I forgot to say anything, so I ate off a dirty table. Food was ok though. Sad! I would never come back here.

What can I say but this is a mixed bag. Food at Panera is consistent and has a good selection. But this location has awful service!!! I've eaten regularly at other locations across the country as I'm a card-carrying customer. But hands down this service is slow and frustrating. If you think this is a bad review after one visit, think again... The first time was 2 Fridays ago. I arrived middle/late of the afternoon around 4 when there was no lunch or dinner rush. About 3 in the prep area, about 2 in kitchen and one or two going by....hello, how about taking an order. Lots of milling around but no one seems to be takin care of customers. By then the line is starting to grow. People walk by, go by the cash area, and well still no order takers. Did we just hit the change of guards at the penitentiary? Time zone difference. Hmmm!?! Finally the gal came by to take the order and another one stops what they were (or weren't) doing to join the fray. Must be trainee time, since the order too took forever. Okay, I give it an off day. Trial number 2. Last Thursday around 11 am before any lunch rush. Service at the counter was...you guessed it...slow as molasses! Two were at the cash and there was no rush. By the time my order was taken and my drink ordered, she had forgotten the drink order and came back with ice tea! Yep. And she didn't close the ticket until the drink order was filled, so food took even longer. (lemonade, which was good BTW) It felt like lots if high school kids or young grads are working there. The folks working they tables seemed more energetic and service friendly. If only we can get past the front line.

For fast food standards, Panera is one of the best. I've seen a lot of bad reviews on here for Panera, and I guess my question or comment is...."What did you expect"? People complain about prices and not as good as they thought it would be. Panera is in the same category of food restaurants basically as a McDonalds and Subway. If people have that bad of attitudes and appetites, go eat that garbage. I will pick Panera any day over other fast food places. I know it's not the best food around, but I know what I am going there for and what to expect.

Panera is Panera but can I say I snuck in at 2 mins until close... And got the best service ever! I had to have my salad. Friendly staff. Thanks guys lol

Just okay. Similar to the others but not as crowded. They also don't leave cups for water out, guess they don't trust us. Healthy choices, good place to meet and hang out and no need to pay tip make this a decent eatery.

Meh. I'll go out of my way to go to Calistoga instead of Panera. Unfortunately this one is right near work, so sometimes this is where we end up. The bread isn't all that great (unfortunate for a place that has "bread" in their name), I've never had a soup I've liked there...in fact I've never really had anything I liked there very much. Way overrated. Calistoga wins on quality, taste, and atmosphere, hands down.

SLOW service. Count on it. I have tried using their "fast lane" kiosks as well as online/app ordering. I've had 3 experiences ordering with app for "rapid pick-up", only to arrive and have no order ready (and no one preparing it). Really frustrating. Won't be back. Very disappointing, because the quality of food is always good. But with many other options nearby for soup/sandwiches/salads, I can't recommend Panera.

Rude and slow service. They have all the tools and technology to have a fantastic shop - touch screen ordering, rapid pickup section, order queue screen. However it seems like they are purposely misusing this technology to their detriment. The queue screen is misleading (order status is inaccurate). And when I went to ask about the order, they were very rude.

So, we are greeted a cashier (friendly!) and to the view of an employee cleaning A/C vents over the food preparation area....but we are tired, after a late afternoon drive from Key West. We order at the counter, and the order taker is pleasant. So the food is up, and the Manager is now cleaning the air vent even closer to the food prep area. Other managers are seated in the dining room, while there are tables that obviously need to be wiped...we manage to find a clean table. I receive the turkey and bacon sandwich that I ordered....the bacon is cold, and not crisp....I pick it off. The bowl of french onion soup had about 6 flakes of cheese on the top, it is luke-warm, but the flavor isn't bad. One good thing, my son had tortellini, and he liked it. Usually I like Panera Bread.....but not this day, and not this location.

Am I the only one that thinks Panera is a rip off? $10.00 for a tiny sandwich and no drink. Don't get me wrong the food taste good. I just feel I'm being screwed every time I make the mistake of eating here. Plus Panera is a chain not some Artisan secret. They must just assume we are all wealthy people with nothing better to spend our money on. Sorry I had to vent, just disappointed in myself for stopping at a Panera.
