This place is super delicious. The ambiance is great and the service is good. I had the pasta with the lamb and it was just amazing. Perfect portion, perfect amount of sauce. I recommend highly that you have the tiramisu for desert. It's the best I have had this far. If you want to eat early before 830, make reservations. Won't be disappointed

A friend and I stumbled upon Tulia while on a recent trip to Naples. Most of the restaurants on 5th Ave were closed for lunch (who knew the summer was off-season?), but Trulia looked interesting and was fortunately one of the only places open. We were instantly drawn in by the menu outside, specifically the swordfish sandwich. Our server was phenomenal-- friendly, helpful, attentive. We were brought fresh (hot!) bread first with a tapenade. For our meal, we decided to share the enticing swordfish sandwich and the Garden and the Goat pizza. The pizza was out of this world amazing, and the sandwich was very good, but paled in comparison to the pizza. Wish we could have tried dinner there as well. A+

I've got to say, this meal was probably one of the best Italian meals I've had in a very long time!!! I'm usually apprehensive about trying a brand new restaurant less than a month after its been opened, but I had already heard good things and the bf took me here for dinner. The interior and even the outside seating area is cozy, with a rustic vibe to it. Even for our 8:45 reservation, the dining room was buzzing. We started with the calamari which has shaved pecorino and a bit of mint served with marinara sauce. The batter wasn't too heavy or heavily seasoned. The calamari was cooked perfectly and was tender. So far so good! We were then given their warm homemade bread with eggplant caponata. DELICIOUS. I do recommend to try the oil that is on the table, it's incredibly fruity and accompanies the bread perfectly. We split the beet salad, and the half portion was an adequate size. I usually don't like my salad to already be dressed because most restaurants put way too much dressing, but this wasn't the case here. It was a very light vinaigrette that highlighted the red and gold beets. For the main course, I ordered the Creste di Gallo (seafood pasta) and the bf ordered the stracci, which comes with a slow braised duck ragu. Speechless! You can definitely tell that the pastas are homemade, and made with love! There was an ample amount of seafood in my dish, and I loved the pasta that it came with. The bf was raving about his the entire time. Even though we were stuffed, we still opted to try the tiramisu. This was light and fluffy, which is hard to find now a days. The service was top notch and she guided us towards the right direction in all of our choices. We'll be back soon!

Looks like a rustic French country chateaux inside, but don't let looks deceive you...this is probably the top Italian restaurant in Naples right now, with a menu that includes a few items that are hard to find, including Bucatini. Their wood oven pizzas are excellent as well.

Our visit to Osteria Tulia was on the very last evening of our vacation to Naples. We were treated like royalty. Every member of the staff was friendly and professional. Our server, Mike, was both charming and knowledgeable of the menu. The environment was romantic and serene. The FOOD. The food was decadent, but surprisingly light. We left feeling satisfied without the belly aches. Thank you, Osteria Tulia for a beautiful end to our vacation!

Darn! So wanted some good Italian!!! Homemade pasta was dry, tasteless, And boring! Salad was uninspired---good thing was Happy Hour drinks!! Very good! Loud, crowded...disappointed in overall experience...could I please get a good meal in Naples????somewhere??

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Tulia Osteria kicks Campiello's ass. Better Italian food, less glitz and attitude and lots of fun. We shared a kickass Caesar salad with plenty of anchovies, the stuffed zucchini blossoms and the Sicilian meatballs. Simply awesome. And then the Speck, olive and mozzarella pizza!! Really good! And the wine by the glass list is legit. One more thing; the crowd is young for Naples. Tulia Osteria moves to the top of my list.

Had a fantastic lunch at the bar with a top notch bartender and delish food. Shared a bunch of plates which were outstanding. Housed cured meats, mista salad, chips, Brussels sprouts. Will go back for dinner before our short few days are up! You should go!

Came here for Mother's Day dinner with my mom and stepfather. Arrived around 545pm so the dinner rush had not yet begun. We were seated right away, although the server took a couple of minutes to come to the table (I presume it's because the whole city of Naples moves like snails). She was very nice and super knowledgeable. I believe her name was Lisa. This place is very rustic and you can tell that the food is thoughtfully crafted from it's creation to it's plating. We started with the house-made ricotta. Absolutely fantastic. I then ordered the fried pig ears. It's quite a big portion for three people, so if you're the only one eating it, it'll go to waste. It's also delicious. Make sure you squeeze the lemon onto it. My mom and I shared the flat iron steak. Very good and cooked nicely. For dessert we had the panna cotta and espresso. It's almost like a parfait. Could have done without the glaze on the strawberries because it's already sweet, but it was yummy nonetheless. My mom hates eating quickly, likes to take three hours on a nice meal, and I'm accustomed to a quicker pace, so for her it was perfect. Lisa has such a kind heart, and I hope that the local following continues to come to the restaurant once the snowbirds leave this month, because she was so great and the next time I'm in town I'll come just to see her. My only suggestion is to install better fans outside for the summer. I was kind of a sweat ball.

When we dine out, especially in a place that is known to be pricy but even in a hamburger joint, I can usually determine within a few minutes whether or not the experience will be rewarding. I was feeling confident when we were greeted by people who seemed happy to see us but the minute our server, JC, showed up, I knew we were in good hands. The whole experience was gratifying and enjoyable. If you are visiting Naples and enjoy fine dining, include Tulia's on your list. The four of us were well pleased with our dinners and we also enjoyed the generous portion leftovers the next evening. The menu has many exciting choices and the wine list has something for everyone. We will be back next year and we hope that JC will be there as well.

Stopped in here for lunch this afternoon. The eggplant tampenade was a litt bland, but it's just a simple starter. We got the seafood salad which was absolutely delicious. The ended our meal with the Pig in the Olive Grove pizza which was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! I would definite like to go back and would certainly recommend it to friends that are visiting.

I had dinner here with my mom and nephew. We had the grilled octopus which was great (so many places overcook octopus) and we split the Tortolloni and the seafood pasta dish (can't remember the name). The seafood pasta dish was ok (not from lack of preparation.....it was a just a tad spicy and I wasn't crazy about that shaped pasta). The Tortolloni was amazing. It's their most popular dish. PS- the Fiore cocktail is delish

Lunch here today was very nice. Since it was raining we ate inside. Service good. I ordered the "Torchio pasta" it was awesome !! We can recommend this resturant if you are in Naples.

I usually don't update my reviews but I just have to for this place. It is ALWAYS amazing. Service and food are seriously prefect each time. My only complaint is that the food is so good that we crave it and talk about it daily until we can go back. Our latest obsession is the sergeant pepper pizza. absolutely amazing. This place is now a weekly stop for us due to the tasty food, amazing service, and wonderful atmosphere. I've been saying that there are not any places a crave when I return to naples after being out of town, but this is the exception.

All you Europeans beware!!! Yes.... there is 'good' food in the US! Or, at least, what we spoiled Europeans consider to be good food; it's fresh, it's healthy - OK, olive oil but at least that's the Italian way... I met a lovely girl in Palm Beach and she told me specifically to go to Tulia's and -as she's French - I trusted her opinion. I wasn't wrong.... Estelle thank you so much for this recommendation! We drove up here for lunch, didn't make a reservation so we were hoping there was still room. Luckily, there was at a beautiful table on the terrace! Sitting in the shade, authentically set table, the waiter asked us "How about a glass of wine". Of course! Why not! As I sat there, sippin' my crisp Pinot Grigio, the freshly baked bread (still warm!) and homemade aubergine pesto (remarkably resembling Baba Anush) made me feel I was back home for a minute. Which is nice, as to be honest.... the Americans do have different taste buds than 'we' do. The lunch was just fabulous; fresh Brussels sprouts with homemade fennel sausages was absolutely To Die For and the special of the day: perfectly cooked pork belly with garlicy spinach. Again, the fresh produce and portions (the US is not known for portion control) were spot on! And what better way than to finish with Tiramisu?! YUMMMM! Not the best tiramisu I ever had (sorry Jason), but definitely a great desert. Overall, Tulia was truly a lovely experience!! I'm so so happy that we came here for lunch!!

GREAT ITALIAN FOOD AND ATMOSPHERE!! The owner really did this one right. The overall atmosphere and vibe at Tulia is very warm, welcoming and friendly. Our server (Katie) was so attentive and sweet. She really made the whole experience even better. She was knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions for food and drinks. If you like beer, you have to try their Italian beers!! This option makes the whole meal feel a little more authentic. They also have a good selection of Italian wines!! All of the food was great and you could tell all of the meals were well thought out and made in a very particular way. They make all of their pasta in house, which is rare to find. Their menu isn't your cookie cutter typical "American Italian" options, which is a plus. Tulia really was a great dining experience!!

We had been here when they first opened and were not impressed. This visit was much better. I had the seafood pasta dish and it was excellent. Just the right level of spiciness and the squid ink infused pasta was different and very good. John

The food and service was top notch. The food was so fresh and presented beautifully. We selected a variety of menu items to get a full taste and we were impressed with each one. The homemade pasta was delicious. This restaurant is worth your while.

I was recently in Naples and stopped in for lunch. It was my first time at Osteria Tulia and I have to say, we all really liked it. The service was excellent, the waiter really knew the menu and was friendly and helpful. We sat outside and it was a great lunch. I had the chicken sandwich (a special), which was good--but was slightly dry and could have used more condiments. Others in my group had the beef short rib sandwich (tasty, messy and yum) and the goat cheese ravioli that was the standout. The term "craveable" was used. All in all, a really great experience---I'd come back for sure.

One of the best restaurants in Naples; certainly one of the best chefs! Each preparation is current, thoughtful and delicious. Great decor and character inside the restaurant and quality service makes the experience all the better. From cocktails to dessert, nothing is lacking here... A must stop for people visiting Naples, FL, and certainly a locals' favorite. Enjoy!

Wow! We love the warm welcoming feel of this restaurant. The food is fabulous! All of the homemade menu options are a must! We are complete foodies and truly enjoyed our complete dining experience! Oh and the gnocchi are a favorite...light and delicious!

  • Tina D.

Really nice and authentic in a European way Italian place. Sat outside on the patio which was lovely. Ok wine by the glass selection. Bread and complementary caponata were both nice, caponata was actually exceptional. Beet & goats cheese starter was also very nice. Small portion, divided by two this was just enough to wet your appetite for more. Pizza was so-so, toppings were good, dough less so. Seafood pasta was 5 star! Other options on the menue also looked enticing. Tiramisu for dessert - delicious and enough to share. Espresso also good - Panther Coffee beans! We had an enjoyable evening w/ good food in a nice setting. Only our server seemed to be somewhat on autopilot.

This place is wonderful!! The wait staff are top notch and the food is authentic Northern Italian fare! Even the pizza is wonderful! I ordered the gnocchi and it was delightful, not too heavy, not overly saucy or spicy. Everything here is made in house and you can really taste it! A great evening out!

Never have felt so unwelcomed coming into a restaurant. A reservation was made for a party of 10 including an 88 year old woman and a 7 week old baby. The door hostesses had looks of disgust as we tried to figure out whether to sit inside or outside. It didn't matter the location of where we sat, it was clear our party was not welcomed to dine at this restaurant. Eventually and reluctantly, we were seated. The waitresses of this restaurant are the saving grace for our experience, they were attentive, explained everything on the menu and gave great recommendations. If you have a baby or a senior citizen, avoid this restaurant and take your money where it will be appreciated more.

  • Ross S.

This place seemed to have a great vibe. Unfortunately this place seems to be in sharp decline. Our party of eight was very disappointed in the long wait for our food and that it was lacking. The short ribs were stunning, and not in a good way. They turned out to be a meat filled pasta. Although billed as an entree, you would need a magnifying glass to find the little meat, encased in pasta. This portion was so small that patrons had to eat dinner after. The pizza was good, but not up to the reviews. If you are looking for New York pizza, JetBlue has daily non stops. The service was slow. We asked for a bit more of the eggplant tapenade as two small plates were filled for our group. $4 was the answer. Overall the food was average, but the hype leads to me to ask: How will they ever get through season?

After hearing so much buzz about this place, I finally went to Tulia Osteria for dinner! Make a reservation! Even with making a reservation a few days in advance, I only had dining options available after 8PM. I had to call the hostess several times to change my party number. They were very accommodating and changed everything I needed. Thank you! The atmosphere of the restaurant is rustic and cozy. It feels like you've traveled all the way to the Italian countryside. The staff is all very knowledgeable with the menu items. Ask them anything and they'll be able to help. They walk around with a basket of hot and fresh bread. Make sure you grab some! The only thing I didn't like was my seat. Ugh, I hate sitting on wicker things. For appetizers, PLEASE get the Tuscan chicken liver!! The toast, liver, and the fried egg all together is the perfect savory combination! I'm almost sad we had to share it with the whole table, because I wanted to eat it all! The meatball and the fried pig ears are also very good. I was a little worried about how the pig ear was going to turn not (expecting it to be like a dog treat), but it was sliced into thin strips and fried to crispy perfection. But seriously though, just get 3 plates of the chicken liver and it'll all be okay. For the meal, I had the tortelloni with roasted beef short rib, foie gras emulsion, and marsala. DELICIOUS! Perfect flavoring with homemade pasta. I only wish the portion was larger, so the moment would of lasted longer! I sampled some of my friend's garganelli. Great robust pasta dish. I usually don't like lamb, but this was very well made. Another friend ordered the Creste di Gallo. This was good, but compared to the other dishes the show stopping flavor just wasn't there to me. If you have room for more, get try the mini donut dessert with a sweet fruit sauce and the marshmallow, chocolate liquor cake. I don't remember the names exactly, but all were excellent! Tulia Osteria, best Italian food I've had in a while!

With all the Italian choices on 5th, this is a stand out. Fresh high quality ingredients, excellent service, nice decor and excellent wine selection. Reasonable prices too. If you're lucky enough to get a table, eat here!

Our third Naples restaurant selected from Yelp, and the third restaurant that hit one out of the park! Our waiter (an Albanian fellow) did a wonderful job of describing the restaurant and the food, and helped us with wine and beer selections. A final note: the tiramisu was one of the two best I've ever eaten!

Fantastic dining experiences at the table and bar. We dined multiple times at Tulia during our stay because we wanted to try so many things. Definitely start with mussels, octopus and burrata. Loved all of the pasta options. They even offer a gluten free pasta substitution which the girlfriend loved. She has an allergy to gluten and never has the option to eat pasta when we are out to dinner. Entree's were also fantastic. The lamb shoulder was my favorite. I also had the osso bucco the only thing I would change would be adding a little more polenta with the dish. Others tried the salmon and strip steak and a special lobster ravioli which all had high remarks. In my opinion this is the best restaurant in Naples. Incredibly comfortable dining and there are no details overlooked.

It was my favorite restaurant for a while.. we love to dine out and we love taking our friends and family to only the best restaurants. That said, the last time we were there it didn't meet our expectations the food and the service fell short but because we know anyone can have an off night we will be coming back soon

My dad is a huge Tula Osteria fan. He heads down to Naples a few times a year and always raves about this place, so when I visited in March I had to try it. Amazing, authentic Italian food. Not Italian-American, truly neopolitan Italian. The pizza with goat cheese and roasted veggies was the standout- now pizza dough in Florida will never ever live up to NY (Sorry guys) but this was good and the toppings were the star. The pastas are homemade and hearty. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and next time I'm in Naples this will probably be my first stop!

Ambiance: Beautiful= 5 stars Service: Fast and friendly= 5 stars Food: *I had the Buccatini Cacio e Pepe. This was a favorite dish of mine while traveling through Rome. It's hard to beat an Italian dish made in the area it's originally from. They did good though. I give it 4 stars. *My wife Simona had the Linguini w/speck & radicchio, Parmesan cream & truffle oil. That was great. We both rate that at 5 stars. Perfectly cooked pasta (how it's cooked in Italy, al dente) and the sauce was great. Wine: I had a glass of the Bolgheri (Super Tuscan) and it was not only reasonably priced, but it was great. My wife had the Nero D'Avola and she was also very happy with that. 5 stars on the wines. After living in Tuscany together for a couple of years we have been spoiled (also, Simona spent the first 30 years of her life in Italy). We are understandably picky about Italian food in America. This place has done a very good job at what they are going for, the Osteria experience. Comfortable, non-pretentious with great food and no pressure to over order and over eat. Thanks!

NICE PLACE My wife & I had a Sunday lunch here and greatly enjoyed everything about the place. We started with the Crispy Fried Pigs' Ears. They are, indeed, real pigs' ears and they were very good. For lunch we had The Classico Pizza, which is actually a Marghuerita pizza (tomato, mozzarella, basil & EVOO) and a special Rigatoni with Cauliflower & Anchovy. Both were delicious. Our server, Katelyn, and the maître d' Todd were both very helpful and accommodating. It is probably around 4 1/2 stars here, but I cheerfully bumped it to 5 because I liked the place.

Overall, fantastic experience. There is a reason why this place had a thirty minute wait, while many of the surrounding restaurants were empty. The service was friendly and on point the entire time. This statement includes not only our server, but also the bread guy, and the bussers we interacted with. Good show of team work. I order the duck, medium rare as recommended. It was perfectly cooked, and topped with juicy cherries, served with a side of kale, all sitting in a grappa-based sauce. The cherries balanced both the gamey-ness of the duck, and the bitterness of the kale, creating a well-balanced and crave worthy dish. It was a great way to end a romantic day with my boo.

I thought I had written a review but I guess not. This place is fabulous. Definitely a luxury, at least for my wallet, to dine at but I've never been disappointed. The chef puts a lot of thought into his food and seasoning is always on point. I also appreciate the risks he takes with his dishes. The mood is romantic and has a convenient bar next door which is a lot more casual.

Restaurant is very nicely setup and decorated. The ambience is great. I had the Cappelletti for dinner and it was amazing! It was a type of ravioli with lobster and fava beans and buttery with great flavors. The dessert was The Diavolo (chocolate cake) and was just as delicious. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because of the service. The waiters are nice but they don't come around to check up on the table. We had to get up and find someone to bring us something. It seems like they are short staffed on the waiters.

Amazing!!! Long time since I been to a great Italian place. Had the short rib tortellini and the octopus to start but I also tried the noquis and the Trento pizza and everything was just great!! Compliments to the chef.

Absolutely amazing. We drove to Naples for a day trip and dined at Osteria Tulia thanks to Emeril's Florida recommendation. The place is so charming it was sickening (in a good way of course). We didn't even go inside because the patio and street view was so unbelievable. They started us off with an eggplant and olive caponata. Then we had the Sargent Pepper Pizza. The menu said it had Fire onions, for some reason this didn't register that it was hot. Well it was! It was excellent just be prepared. Then we had the awesome ravioli special with asparagus. This place is a must stop before or after shopping on 5th Avenue.

Im not sure how I really feel about this location. Its in a great neighborhood in naples and everyone is really friendly. The only thing is that I feel like is that the menu is limited. You dont have many choices and I would think most people get the free range chicken. I also had a glass of wine...or 2 lol. It was very decorative and we sat outside. Might visit again but prices need to be adjusted.

From the moment you walk in the aromas and warmth of this restaurant abound! Wonderful atmosphere, delicious dishes from beginning to end. Starting with the fresh home made caponata and crusty bread, misto salad , delicious dressing, pizza special, pasta garganelli, all delicious! We also had the duck , grilled chicken , and ice cream scoops for dessert - Our waiter, jacklin was phenomenal - he was very informative, as well as entertaining and professional. We enjoyed our experience tremendously!!

Decided to try this for Mother's Day dinner. It was good that they don't force a set Mother's Day price inflated special menu and the regular menu was available. We started by my mom and I splitting a salad with tomatoes and cheese which was nice and they kindly plated it separately for us. husband nibbles on fried pig ears which he enjoyed. Having been to Italy recently, husband is all about a pasta prime and then the meat secondi. We tried the duck ragu gnocchi which was very good as was the tortellini. You could tell it was fresh pasta. We then shared the branzino and Osso buco which both were good. Atmosphere was nice and service was attentive. Would recommend and return.

Did not satisfy my Italian food craving. With the exception of the eggplant appetizer, the rest of the meal lacked robust flavor and seasoning. Our service was good and I thought the recipe card that we received at the end of the meal was a unique and thoughtful touch.

While everything was wonderful on the palate, I want to note that when I ordered the Italian "American India Pale Ale," I was served, and charged for, a more expensive beer (the most expensive beer offered). When I asked James if they were out of the beer I ordered, he was confused about what I was talking. Before I could explain, in further detail, how I had been mis-understood and over charged, the whole thing had been glossed-over and, ultimately, ignored when he left the table. I will accept that, while I was not as direct with James as he, apparently, needed me to be, I do think my concerns should have been addressed. In James defense, perhaps management and ownership was (is?) too focused on the bottom line and not enough on customer satisfaction. To this end, perhaps James was so worried that admiting to management that a mistake of misunderstanding was made, he thought he would get in to too much trouble if he admitted to being a part of said misunderstandings/mistake. Enough of my defense of of Tulia, and back to the recap of my experience: In the interest of maintaining my good mood and trying to go forward with my wonderful day (my $85 lunch for 2, tip included), I believed that one attempt to rectify the situation was enough effort on my part, and further effort was just going to spoil my rare date-day with the wife. My advice: 1)Double check that what you order is what you get. 2)If you are served something you didn't order, tell your server straight it is wrong (...or ask if you aren't sure. I had no idea what to expect when I ordered an Italian "American Indian Pale Ale," so was not immediately aware I was overcharged when the beer arrived. ) 3) Don't be subtle with Italians. Implying that something is wrong doesn't count. Just say it straight: it's a cultural thing.

Great food and service! Son & hubby had the tortelloni with roasted beef short rib, they loved it! I had the seafood risotto but substituted the house made bucatini pasta for the risotto. It was absolutely delicious, one of the best seafood pasta preparations I have ever tasted! This is now my favorite restaurant in Naples!

So this place was recommended to me by a server at another restaurant and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was very chill and I liked that the staff worked as a team to take care of the customers. I ordered the Sgt Pepper pizza which has pepperoni, honey, pepperoncinis, and onion - SO GOOD. The server had a little attitude at first when we pointed out that one of the glasses on the table looked dirty. Other than that this was a perfect lunch!

Visiting from NJ/NY we didn't expect too much in Italian food from South Florida. Boy we were surprised! ! Everything from service to food exceptional. They brought bread and water when we ran out without us asking. All the entrées (8) were brought out the same time, we went back twice before we left. Highly recommend !!

Found this gem walking down 5th ave.. Outstanding!! Service was amazing, pasta was homemade in house.. Had a really cool menu, anything from house made ricotta cheese, pizzas, lamb shank, and even a hanger steak! A lot of restaurants in the area, definitely have to check this one out! Great experience, so good that we were in Naples two nights and ate there both nights! Service was so good we wanted to recruit the servers to our restaurant back home! Lol..

Great food, amazing capanetta. The Osso Buco was excellent. Great ambiance for Naples, will go back when I visit Naples in the future.

This was our first time in, but we had heard wonderful recommendations from a work friend that enjoys the food often. We arrived at 10pm so we sat at the bar. We ordered the complimentary bread which they bring over from Miami and it's really wonderful. Then we ordered the Father Michael pizza to share. It didn't disappoint, yummy! Crust was perfect!! Our bartender/server was friendly and efficient. We'll go back soon.

VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH TULIA. Sad to say that our visit to Tulia last night was a huge disappointment. We have been loyal, long-time fans and customers of Tulia and wanted to introduce the restaurant to out-of-town guests. When our party of 4 arrived for our reservation, we asked to be seated at a vacant table set for 4 people near the entrance. Much to our surprise, the hostess refused to seat us because "this table can accommodate 5 people who might show up without a reservation." As an alternative, she wanted us to eat outside in 90 degree weather with an impending thunderstorm! We had to leave without eating.

Brought the crew, and was promptly given the crew's quarters. I should not kvetch as they did seat us right away, but we got the proverbial worst seat in the house right next to the server's pick up station. We just pretended that it was the Chef's Table (which cracked up our server, Mike) and had fun with it. Everything was outstanding. They had a perfect sized kids steak (not on the menu) and were very flexible on the sides. The others all went with evening specials and were wowed. Highly rec, but be prepared for a bit of a bill. Not crazy, but up there. Not a shock, it is Naples, after all.

I recently took a trip over to Naples to relax and enjoy the beach as well as the many interesting people here. Of course, 5th Avenue is pretty much where the heart of the city is, and after reading many reviews as per the best restaurants, I chose to go to Tulia Osteria. We started with the warm housemade ricotta which was pretty decent. That being said, I found the ricotta to be a bit odd. From here, we ordered our main courses which were the pasta linguine and the mediterranean branzino. The pasta linguine was outstanding with fresh seafood and the sauce was simply amazing. The branzino was also extremely top notch and incredibly tasty with a nice salad on the side. We did not order the desserts, but had some coffee. Decent, but I think I could make a better brew at home. However, this cannot really detract from the meal which was incredibly. Our waiter was also extremely attentive and always had some suggestions, BUT unlike a previous reviewer did not attempt to push us in any specific direction. All in all, I can't wait to go back to Naples and eat another great meal at Tulia Osteria!

There were 4 of us and we ordered the Burrata salad, Brussel Sprouts, ham and cheese panini, goat cheese ravioli. Every single thing was more than incredible. Everything is fresh and homemade and you could taste it in every bite! Service was fast and friendly. It felt like farm to table. HIGHLY recommend. AND very reasonably priced especially for Naples ! And Alena was super friendly and helpful.

Normally the food here is great, but today it was not. We were there for lunch and 2 of us ordered the "special pasta". It was not very special. we had to add cheese to give it more flavor and it was $18 for a no meat pasta. Another in our party had the beef sandwich which was also just ok.

I travel to Naples often, and usually - I'm surrounded by very mediocre and overpriced food that is comparable to a god damn Applebee's so Tulia Osteria was quite a surprise. Not only is the food EXCELLENT but I feel it's the only restaurant in naples that does local bounty and farm to the fork type meals. The dishes are extremely flavorful and unique and the head chef/owner is amiable and passionate. It's always good to have an owner who is passionate about their food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you're in Naples.

A beautiful restaurant, I was expecting terrific food to match the architecture. But I was sadly disappointed. Started with the Brussels sprouts & fennel sausage. It was awful. A sloppy pile of overlooked contents, which surprisingly seemed to have been soaked in butter, rather than lightly tossed in olive oil. The I had a pizza Classico. It too was awful. Looked , felt and tasted like canned tomatoes on cardboard.,I was expecting an authentic thin Napoli pizza. A dog gets better food. I enjoyed a very good chianti Classico. The wine list, by glass and bottle, is good Service was outstanding. I will try it again, but avoid all pizzas, and inquire carefully about their vegetable dishes.

1 star was even to much for this awful restaurant. First the hostess at the front was the rudest I've ever came across. We asked if we needed to make reservations earlier in the day and she personally told us NO. Went back at 6 the place was empty and then she said we needed a reservation or had to sit outside which we did and after eating the awful food wish we would have just left. First we started with the worlds smallest Caesar salad four forkfuls at the most. Next we had the meatball appetizer which was a meatball cut in half and couldn't even grab a forkful without it crumbling. Next we had two pizza that were flavorless and the one with the egg was over cooked and the egg scrambled by the time it came to the table. Finally we had the bucatini pasta which was noodles with butter and cheese should have been on the kids menu. I am a chef myself and own my own restaurants one which is Italian in Chicago and I wish I could have went in the back and taught this so called chef how to actually make a pizza. No clue how this place has anything better then 3 stars max waisted night on my vacation eating here and if the girl in the front worked at my Restaurant she would be the first to go cause my first impression was awful and didn't help the meal was just as awful. Plenty of options on the block and the space is great so it will make a great restaurant one day when this place closes which I would say is in the near future unless someone there learns to cook.

This place was a gem. They make fresh all of their pastas and everything was so good! We had the gnocchi, lamb pasta (not sure what it's called), warm ricotta with crustinis and the burratta. The servers are very friendly and the atmosphere is laid back. I will definitely be coming back.

Family and I tried this restaurant last night. Warm greeting and friendly atmosphere. Server was Lisa. She was very knowledgable about the menu and gave great recommendations. The meatballs and ricotta were amazing appetizers and the homemade pastas were second to none. We highly recommend this place and will eat here every time we are in Naples. MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR LISA!!

Place has potential to be good destination. This review is TOTALLY based on the price of the wine. We ordered a Cantina Malbec. I think the year was 2010. Knowing a decent about wines, I assumed the price was maximum 3 or 4 times the price in liquor store. NO PRICE on wine list. So ultimately this was my fault. I made an assumption that a Malbec could not be stupid expensive. Well once again DO NOT assume. Meal was pleasant enough, not great but good. The check came and after hearing prices on every special food item, the cost of the wine was $ 195 dollars a bottle we discovered when check came. Here again my fault I ordered a second bottle. Total wine cost was $ 390. Food was $210 (4 people) $ 600 for food and 2 bottles of wine. You can decide if that is a fair deal for a $15 bottle of Malbec at Total Wine. I have been to many fine restaurants. We did not complain at the restaurant. I called today and the manager certainly researched it and got back to me. She confirmed price was 195 per bottle. Needless to say we will not go back as we spend our winters on SW Florida. Buyer beware. Make sure you ask the prices of the wine - even by the glass are not posted anywhere other than on line. FYI , the price online for another Malbec was under $ 50.00. Be careful here.

Two words sum this place up: mediocre and overpriced. I was hoping this place would be great, as it was my first trip to the Naples area with my wife. Of all the places in town, this seemed to consistently have the best reviews, but it was genuinely bad from the moment we walked in. I'll try to keep this review to the food (since that is what matters most). When we arrived, our server Fred offered us some wines. When I leaned toward the House Wine, he said one of the other (more expensive) wines would be better. So I got the Chianti he recommended, and it was awful. I wondered if he even tried the wine before making a recommendation. We then ordered two appetizers: the burratta and the sausage. The burratta was ok, though not as creamy as I've had at most decent Italian places on the east coast. But the sausage was quite bad...it tasted like kielbasa bought from the supermarket. It was paired with "beluga" lentils, which were equally bad, and had almost no flavor. I've never had Italian food without flavor, but this place managed to do it. By this point, we ordered another glass of wine. I got the house wine which was a thousand times better than the garbage that they are trying to shill as chianti. And sadly, it might have been the highlight of the food and drink that night. For our entrees, we wanted to order the short rib tortellini. Unfortunately they were sold out. We ordered our food at 8:45-8:50. I couldn't understand how one of the best restaurants in this city could run out of such a popular dish (according to Yelpers) before 10pm on a Saturday night. But Because we couldn't order that, we ordered the garganelli with lamb, and the pasta special of the day. The garganelli was pretty good, but the pasta special (again suggested by Fred) was terrible. It was a riggotoni, with eggplant, basil, and ricotta silatta. The dish was cloyingly sweet, to the point that after a few bites I didn't want to eat anymore because I thought I might throw up. Even my pregnant wife - who eats just about everything nowadays - couldn't eat more than a few bites. To say it was bad was an understatement. And to top it off, the bill for this collection of terrible food was over $85. Even if you exclude the $19 in wine, I wouldn't pay $66 for that food in a million years. I've gotten better Italian food at carrabba's for half the price (including drinks). Unfortunately, if this is the best Naples had to offer, I don't think I'll be back.

Tulia's tapenade should be bottled and slapped with a house label for sale. It's a delicious concoction of sun dried tomato, oil, eggplant, & green olives. Served with soft, fresh white bread, it could be a lunch by itself.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
